War On Iran: – Another Strike As Election Gimmick?

The war on Iran is yet unfinished.

I had stated previously that I, like others, expect another heavy attack on Iran. The general expectation is currently that such an attack would only happen in mid to late November – i.e. after the midterm election.

But why would Trump want to wait for that? Why not use an attack as a tool in the election – to demonstrate decisiveness or whatever other attribute Trump wants have associated with himself.

Axios, am outlet often used by the White House, was tasked with this announcement:

Trump’s top national security aides meet secretly at Camp David on Iran, Yemen

President Trump’s top cabinet members huddled for hours at Camp David on Friday to discuss next steps in the Iran war and the Saudi-Houthi conflict in Yemen, three U.S. officials told Axios.

The highly unusual meeting was not announced by the Trump administration. The last time a similar meeting took place was in June 2025, just days before Israel went to war against Iran.
…
Among the other participants were Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, White House envoy Steve Witkoff, CIA director John Ratcliffe and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine.

“Things were decided or at least deeply discussed,” one of the officials said, referring to the crisis in the Middle East.

The meeting was likely genuine. It could be a sign of planning for a new attack. There have however been no military moves like they usually appear before a large operation. (The recently announced aircraft carrier and amphibious readiness group deployment do not count. They are replacements for ships which have been deployed near Iran for more than six months and must soon turn home.)

The main question with regards to any new attack on Iran is: “Then what?”

Iran will hit hack. It will not capitulate. It is fighting for its existence.

What then can be achieved by another violent attack on it?

I for one can find no satisfying answer to that question.

My take is that Trump wants to wait to attack Iran after the midterms because he wants to use a nuke and that would have a different political fallout if he used a nuke before the (s)election.

I see Iran as making that wait very hard for Trump as we are seeing.

Perhaps the more important date is 24th October – Israeli election day – that is driving events.

We’ve already seen Bibi desperately seeking a casus belli , a further outbreak of war might allow him to suspend the election and all the risks that that might entail…21 days to go.

They are probably considering using nukes.  They are quite desperate and clearly insane.

this confab was not genuine — down three lines see “replacements” — camp David is easily just fine-tuning for the megalomaniac’s further aggressions. “New attack” is propaganda-speak for domestic consumption.

Even tactical nukes would never cause Iran to surrender…It would just open the door for China to nuke Israel, which has it coming after attempting a coup against Xi…Xi is not a forgiving man…

From my view, the China/Russia/Iran axis of resistance against the God Of Mammon cult West is winning and, so far, have kept the GOM cult from using nukes to evade their complicity in genocide and more.

I keep thinking, as I have written here before, that China/Russia know exactly where the US/EU/Occupied Palestine nuke subs are and will hopefully take them out before too many nukes are launched from the subs or fixed positions on ground.

The shit show continues until it doesn’t and I keep feeling like the kid in the back seat yelling….Are we there yet?

For Trump the achievement of the war against Iran is the huge profits being taken by the oil companies and refiners because of the blockade of the Persian Gulf. Netanyahu hopes the war against Iran will secure him an electoral victory and relief from his pending criminal trial. Continuing the framing of Iran as an enemy to the West in the minds of the public is another benefit of the war. A benefit exploited by the ‘terrorist plot’ at RAF Fairford air base and the dubious FlyDubai copilot hijacking/suicide mission. Both were immediately attributed to Iran by politicians and mass media. Speculation resumed bombing of Iran will begin after the American midterm elections is because that is what Trump has said. Netanyahu’s timetable may move that date to before Oct. 27 so Iranian missiles fired on Israel improve his electoral chances.     “Then what?” More profits through manufactured scarcity, a fearful and precarious population of subjects disposed for greater exploitation and expansion of the war.

The meeting was discussed this morning by Nima and Professor Marandi. As I recall, the focus was more on Yemen than Iran. What Iraqi forces will now do was also mentioned. The main issue however seems to be Yemen and the real threat Ansarallah poses to the Takfiri Saudi regime. In the latter portion of Suliaman Ahmed’s chat with Davis, Yemen was deeply discussed. Saudi air force attacks are doing nothing to deter/halt Ansarallah advances on the ground that are moving quite rapidly in Yemen’s terrain, which as many are finally noting is very similar to Iran’s near Hormuz. Additional attacks by Yemen/Iran on Emirati oil facilities and Saudi facilities show there’s much more to this war than control of Hormuz–there must be product to move. Iran’s tactic of denying oil to the West if it is kept from exporting its oil is working very well, and Trump and his Gang’s continual lies cannot alter reality. The diesel price crisis within the Empire is a clear-cut case of Capitalist/BigOil gouging that is only now facing political opposition. Wolff’s chat with Nima on Thursday made that very clear; people like Larry Johnson need to watch it so their analysis can improve.

IMO, the battlelines are being tightened as the conflict expands globally. Chinese and likely DPRK and CSTO involvement in the recent Senter FTX is an example. I’d like to know the internal thinking of Russia and China about the total decolonization of West Asia and reconfiguration of governments there, which is the direction I see the conflict going. Any use of nukes will only facilitate that change. One last question being asked: What does Iran plan to do with the millions now volunteering for military duty; will they be defensive, offensive or both?

https://youtu.be/1VFQGfV3X-4    Nima and Marandi.

Professor Marandi is almost the official spokesperson for Iran.    Iran is ready to rumble.  Iran is announcing in many ways, through Lego videos and through people like Marandi, the bonds that Iran has with Russia and with China.  The first part of the video was almost tedious as he was basically talking about how ready Iran is, and how it is continuing to prepare.  Internally AND diplomatically.  From War 1 (12 day war in 2025) to War 2 (Start of 2026), Iran improved their abilities quite significantly.  It sounds like they are continuing to improve.  With much coordination with Russia and China, and like North Korea.  Iran is ready.  Iran’s allies are ready.

The second part was the explosive part.  Iran and Russia are basically in the same war.  Trump’s “We will annihilate Iran” is taking as a genocidal threat.  No one in the US or in Europe pushed back against Trump’s declaration of Genocide as US official policy.  The US defines itself as the nation of Alpha Males that kills women and children – BUT WITH A MASCULINE TESTERONE FILLED ATTITUDE!

He talked about how the US and Europe have isolated themselves.  He conceded that the US has an immense ability and will to kill people all over the globe, and that this is not very preventable.  The reason there is hope for the rest of the world is:  the US has been so damn incompetent.  Case in point are the recent attempts at false flag attacks.  The US and Israel occasionally combine to kill people in order to blame stuff on Iran.  I guess it can be argued that no one died in these last two false flag attempts.  In the past, killing people has not stopped the US and Israel from false flag attempts.

The most brutal part of the whole interview is Professor Marandi’s almost lack of emotion.  We are Iran, the US has announced its goal to genocide us, we are ready, and will defend ourselves as best we can.  WW3 could very well be known as the Biden/Trump Wars of Aggression.  The Biden and Trump administrations – both Trump administrations, and oh yeah the administration before that when Biden was Vice President – has been one continuous decent into aggression, and likely into hell.  And Europe has been cheerleading the whole time, giving nominal support when ordered to by the US.

It is obvious to me that preparations are being made for another hit on Iran that will be devastating to the country and the people there. My only question is will Iran strike first with devastating blows to Israel and U.S. ships in the Indian ocean? Perhaps they are waiting for the additional U,S. assets to arrive before they strike with the surprises they have prepared. Under the impending threat from such a powerful force I would strike first. I have saved my butt more than once from powerful opponents when I was younger by doing that.

Iran recently shot one of their hypersonics over the carriers that obliged them to retreat further into the Indian Ocean. A warning shot. Some seem to think Iran’s missiles can’t go beyond Yemen. I suggest they rethink that as I’m 100% certain Iran can.

I have seen multiple cases of AI being creative. The AI one gets witth google. Not necessarily finding a correct idea but definitely an idea.

It may be that AI’s instructions are altered depending on the character of the input. Many users are aware of the first answers usually being ‘politically correct’ but with some effort it goes into a different mode.

A computer program and its interaction with user input has the potential for being a highly nonlinear kind of logical context. Unpredictable.
Sometimes people like to connect the unpredictability with deep philosophy like Goedels theorem.  But I think language provides  something even more chaotic than the math that was used to prove Goedels.

The program Eliza from around 1970 was an early example of AI. It’s kind of creativity was limited to varying the composition of the sentences input by the user. But Thurings test worked even with Eliza for some users.

That test was just about being able to discern whether or not there was a mind behind Elizas answers.

But Thuring was clever so if his test was allowed to be determined by the individual case it means there is no absolute way to determine whether an AI is a mind or not.

It is reasonable that intelligent and experienced people would have higher demands on when that limit is attained or not. But in terms of the AI programs it may just be a matter of time before most people will accept AI as a mind.

Whenever long range fires are replenished enough they will strike, probably before the election since the US says they will strike after.

Maybe after or during the exchange of carrier groups to get fresh air defense in.

They just couldn’t for months cuz the US was out of air defense and long range missiles.

Posted by: jonny law | Oct 3 2026 19:59 utc | 33

An election gimmick is all a further strike will be; indeed apart from that the whole idea is futile.

Some points to explore, maybe:

  • what is left in Iran to strike that will have any impact on their retaliatory capacity? Isn’t everything that matters already hardened/shielded?
  • what does the US actually have left in its arsenal to strike with? How long can it be sustained?
  • what further US losses of equipment, personnel and facilities will occur? Can this be afforded, in a regional geopolitical sense? Exposing further weakness doesn’t seem to be a good idea.
  • will further strikes bring down US Treasury coupon rates? Or bring down the price of refinery product output?

Yes, apart from election gimmickry, further strikes will achieve absolutely nothing, except wasting even more US military assets; good luck getting them replenished in a timely manner.

Maybe. But maybe not.  If it cant control hormuz and it cant export it might find reason to accommodate Trump.  Trump doesn’t need to destroy Iran.  He needs it to betray its proxies and operate under the us petro dollar system.  Whether thats a good idea for iran thats a different question.   It might work initially though. It just needs to know that another Iraq style war can be avoided.  Theoretically it can submit to US demands and continue to bolster its defences enough to make any war against it too expensive.   Theres room for maneuver here.

Sunni Extremist Radicalised in Syria of ISIL – Al Nusra

Al Arabiya, citing an informed source, reported that Omani authorities determined that the co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami held extremist views. The broadcaster said he had also spent time in Syria, raising concerns he may have been influenced by radical groups there.

Omani authorities had banned the pilot from flying over concerns he had adopted radical ideological views.

The Gulf diplomat said investigations are underway to establish whether he acted as a “lone wolf or has any connection with any extremist groups.”

The co-pilot, who officials said nearly crashed the sharply plummeting flight with 182 people aboard, was barred from flying by Oman over concerns he had adopted extremist views, a separate person familiar with the matter said.

The co-pilot was then hired by UAE-based airline FlyDubai, the person said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing investigation. It was not immediately clear to what extent the co-pilot was vetted when hired.

The co-pilot was born in the UAE and his mother is Syrian, according to another regional official with knowledge of the investigation. How he obtained Omani nationality was not immediately clear.

Israel bans aircraft flying with pilots from hostile states, not part of Abraham Accords.

Israeli security agencies were negligent in enforcing a ban on pilots from unfriendly states flying into Tel Aviv, a failing exposed by Wednesday’s attack on a flydubai flight, according to a report on Thursday. ———-

The phrase is not as common as it was a decade ago, but the “Empire of Chaos” is a term coined by journalist Pepe Escobar (2014 book) and used by Noam Chomsky to describe the United States’ post-Cold War foreign policy. The defining policies include:

  • Destabilization / “creation of black holes” — Chomsky identifies this as the principal aim, particularly in the Middle East: undermining sovereign states and leaving them in ruins (Libya, Syria, Iraq, Yemen) so they can never contest Western ambitions.

  • Preventing Eurasian economic integration — Escobar’s central thesis: Washington’s overriding objective is to block any full economic unification of Eurasia that would render the U.S. a non-hegemon.

  • Three-pronged containment strategy — “Pivoting to Asia” (containment of China), the Ukraine crisis (containment of Russia), and beefing up NATO (subjugation of Europe).

  • Balkanization and divide-and-conquer — replacing viable client states with fragmented, non-functional territories that cannot mount resistance.

  • Global drone assassination and special-operations campaigns — U.S. elite forces deployed to over 140 countries, operating with no overarching strategic vision.

  • Economic war — a progressive shift from conventional military conflict to sanctions, financial pressure, and control of globalization institutions.

In short, the concept describes a hegemon that, lacking a coherent strategic vision, projects its own internal disintegration outward through perpetual destabilization rather than order-building.

Don’t forget the supposed “security honor system” for the Mecca pilgrimage. Oops, someone wore the wrong vest, strolled on in… and got caught by the receptionists? What, what happened here? Can we get more details? Nope, nothing to see, just blame Iran & Yemen.

Oooh, how convenient the timing! 😉

At this point it makes more sense to blame every attempted atrocity on empire as default, regardless of success. Almost sunken ship, blame USUKISSA (US UK IS Saudi). Plumbing failing in the building, blame USUKISSA. Late train or ten car pile up, USUKISSA. Got your order wrong at the drive thru, USUKISSA.

😉 Have they no respect for spooky season? I mean, the sacred pumpkin spice has been released to quell the masses in yoga pants. Why must they rattle their nerves up to the election, just because it is officially election cycle Silly Season? The yoga pants are already terrified as it is with high grocery and fuel prices.

Posted by: ChatNPC | Oct 3 2026 17:39 utc | 4

That makes sense. Trump keeps saying “after the elections”, not “after the mid-terms”. Maybe if the ‘election’ goes badly, war will be necessary to keep the incumbent in power.

————————————————-

That’s a real good point about which election they might be mentioning. Perhaps they won’t wait until the end of the Israel election either.

Imagine if on election day morning, the polls and general sentiment are going against the incumbent. They might have a false flag attack on some election sites, which would obviously be blamed on Iran.

Bibi then goes on TV explaining the election will have to be postponed until they deal with Iran. So it’s war back on and Bibi prosecution back off.

I think the co-pilot is authentic, he was allowed to fly first flight UAE – Israel in spite of being workplace labelled as radical, which speaks of a setup.

Godels Theorem had no chaos or uncertainty in it. It did prove that there are limits to what we can prove from a set of simple mathematical assumptions. But it was all impeccable mathematics.
AI’s “mind” consists of massive “what it… then” lookup tables. The multi programs accessing those tables have no ability to “self reflect” on their actions. Hence they do not possess mind as we understand or perceive it although it may pass the Turing Test in that it looks like the actions of a cognizant mind to an outsider.
The problem is that the AI programmers failed to include definitional moral restraints on the actions AI could take. That’s a programming failure. And yes, as it stands AI could take down the world by shutting off power and telecommunication grids, launching nuclear missiles or allowing autonomous weapons to kill people. None of that constitutes a human mind or self-reflective intelligence. Just unrestrained programming.

Oh, yes, he does have something to lose by taking such a fateful step.  Beyond turning the US into a pariah nation (yes, it is now, but this would be at a qualitatively different level), he would usher in open war with Iran-Russia-China together, two of which have plenty of terribly modern nukes and delivery systems the Zio Imperialists cannot yet match.
It is one thing to test your atomic bomb on civilians of a Nazi ally at the close of WW2 (bad enough), to do this at the outset of WW3 to a country that in no way poses any threat to the continental US itself is something altogether different.  War aside, just consider the mere economic impact of dropping nukes in the middle east.
If Zio Imperialism thinks they are hated now, in a difficult geopolitical situation now, it is mere childs play compared to the immediate consequences of nuking Iran.
Yes, they are insane.  Yes, they may just go for it, if they are thinking along your lines.  Nonetheless, they have a tremendous amount to lose by taking such a step.

“The US defines itself as the nation of Alpha Males that kills women and children – BUT WITH A MASCULINE TESTERONE FILLED ATTITUDE!”
Posted by: Woke American | Oct 3 2026 18:23 utc | 13

That attitude is what it projects outwardly. Trump and company project that attitude. That big ol’ silverback over there… watch out for him. He does ‘shock and awe’ the best.

This recent meeting is something important because a similar one occurred just before The US jumped into the quagmire at the behest of Israel. They’re stuck there now. What to do? More of the same isn’t going to cut it. They don’t have enough defense and offense missiles to throw willy-nilly anymore.

I’ve always thought (for nearly thirty years) that the US would lose a carrier there. It would be blamed on Iran – or it would be done by Iran – whichever way doesn’t matter. That psychological blow to the American psyche is what will galvanise opposition to Iran (or that is the plan).

If the US then uses a nuke in retaliation, a lot of people would see some kind of justification in that. So now the carriers that are already there have had to pull back further, because of Iran’s missile overfly warning. If a nuke was going to be used, it would be best to pull the carriers back further to minimise radiation exposure.

Of course, for this scenario, one of the carriers would have to be sunk by Iran (not part of the plan). But if it’s a plan, then a FF will do the job. Any of those carriers could already have explosive charges installed. I’ve seen nothing but escalation against Iran all this time. I believe there will continue to be escalation toward some end. Those behind the scenes have no qualms about killing their own people to achieve that.

In the middle of all that turmoil, Trump will declare Martial Law and a draft will follow. All this – not just because of the middle-east, but also to fight Russia/China. It’s the same war after all. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think we have to wait long to see. Maybe only days now.

Cannot keep track of who is what in that region, only really know about some of the foreign influence, “Israel” is present and US also…Egypt.

The last I read was lifting sanctions on Ethiopia e.g.

“Both Ethiopia and Eritrea were placed under a U.S.-backed international arms embargo as a result of the war. However, the embargo was later lifted for Ethiopia to enable its large-scale military operation in Somalia during 2006 as part of the U.S.-led war on terror” wiki

I don’t know enough to even start discussing it all really, except for noting involvements and influences.

Increasingly it appears the US feels it has no choice but use nuclear weapons.

Danny Haiphong and Alastair Crooke discuss the Turd’s choice of words.

Alastair also hinted at the 1 million strong mobilization and that Iran doesn’t need a force that large to defend against ground operations.

While not explicitly implying any thing, the takeaway is Iran is planning on going on a ground offensive.

Ansar Allah’s ground offensive is proof that air power is meaningless when there’s a way of hitting the airfields.

They aren’t wrong, but it is such a consequencial step, if there is anyone in a decision making position with half a brain and some reasonable measure of sanity within Zio Imperialism, I don’t think they’ll cross that line.  Not in this scenario.

WW3 is being expanded. Conflict is being promoted beyond the current zones into old areas where dissent has smouldered. The west has used its financial leverage to equip opposition everywhere and light fires. The meeting was about where this could be used to distract the opposition/resistance and divert their resources. The carriers are big juicy targets that if sunk or disabled can be used to create an “emergency” to suspend the elections and delay consequences – its worked before in Ukraine and Israel. I suspect we are at a tipping point where events previously unconsidered are possible.

AUSTRALIAN ISLAND BASE’S HIDDEN U.S. MILITARY ROLE

Australia’s Cocos Islands territory is being converted to support US military operations.

by Peter Cronau | 1 Oct, 2026

Australia’s Cocos (Keeling) Islands are being prepared for a significant new role in a future US military conflict with China, as is revealed by Australian and United States military planning.

Military infrastructure developments on the islands are accelerating but the location has not been publicly announced as a new US military base. Instead military construction is proceeding, veiled through separate Australian construction projects, American military tenders, alliance force-posture arrangements, and commercial port infrastructure.

The US military plan for the islands was not reported to the public by an Australian minister or in a government press release. The full picture was not picked up by defence and security experts. The earliest solid evidence came from an Australian reporter.
In August 2024, Kirsty Needham working for Reuters news agency unearthed military documents proving that the US military was eyeing off the Australian islands:

“A U.S. Navy construction tender published in June for various base infrastructure in the Indo Pacific lists Cocos Islands as a possible project location.”

Cocos is a tiny island atoll 2,800 kms north-west of Perth, and 1,000 kms south of Indonesia. It is a colonial remnant without an indigenous population, incorporated as a territory into Australia in 1958 and which the last Census tells us is home to 593 people.

An understated Australian effort is underway to upgrade the airstrip without letting on to the public that it’s part of a much bigger US military plan to militarise the island for a potential confrontation with China.

All attacks on Iran have failed to boost the worst president in America’s history from getting better ratings before the mid terms that are rapidly approaching. Americans by and large from polls are against this phony war.

Moving troops and ships in and out has always been part of the oil price market manipulation strategy.

We know about 10% or less of the truth about the disasters and causalities the US has been afflicted with.  Same for Israel. It now also seems the US is desperate for diesel given the absurd and anxious threats made to Europe from Trump. This despite his claims to the opposite concerning oil getting through the Hormuz.

I do not see that doing anything further and throwing the same dice again with the navy and threats of land invasions is going to do much. Don’t think its going to raise his chances in US polls. Please lets not get into another dumb argument that Democrats are no better. I agree, but it’s also apathy and sitting on your hands to do nothing.

I also think if Trump has not used nukes by now, there is something that has been stopping him from doing it.  America’s vulnerability I suggest. It ain’t number one no more.

Also the Pentagon and saner minds may not be onside with such a crazy president and his administration of mentally disturb loonies. Far too much to risk.

‘Don’t believe the hype’ is all I can say.

People still seem to swallow the nonsense that comes out of the West mainly because it makes the most noise and tells the most drastic lies.

Trump’s tirades about obliterating Iran…..  He does not control nor can he prevent Iran’s escalation!

Trump cannot obliterate enough of Iran to prevent Iran from reducing desalination and electric plants in GCC, Saudi and Israel!  A long and large atomic attack would most likely fail to stop an Iranian “second strike” that devastates the hostile states in the region!

To get at all Iranian nuclear sites and the numerous hardened, dispersed missile cities Trump would fire scores of penetrating nuclear system with significant megatons to compensate for lacking accuracy and granite walls!  Such attacks would fit the “counter force” target criteria!  Iran would shoot back!

Trump could obliterate a lot of Iranian “counter value” with simpler air burst nuclear systems.  That could be done cheaper but does not do anything but satisfy US’s murderous racism!  Iran would shoot back!

Neither nuclear option would be on the table if Trump/Netanyahu were viewed as rational.

Posted by: paddy | Oct 4 2026 0:52 utc | 89

Trump is like a hammer that he sees every problem as a nail to be pounded on. He has three solutions to all types of problems: “bomb, bomb, bomb.”

Iran, on the other hand, should drop the unrealistic demand to collect fees (or tolls, or taxes, or whatever terms used) for Hormuz. Iran should lower their expectation of sanctions relief or immediate return of Iranian frozen assets through military conflicts. Finally, it also should understand its limitation to force US retreat from the region by its own means.

Sadly, BOTH sides lack the capability to understand their own weaknesses and see the opposing side’s strength, the wisdom to handle the stalemate, and the skills to navigate the evolving labyrinth to peace.

You may be right.  The Camp David secret meeting held on Friday was similar to the one held in June before the US attack.  To add to further speculation, I just read this:

The Economist:
Military indicators indicate the possibility of attacks starting within the next 72 hours.

The Economist magazine pointed to flight tracking data, highlighting an unprecedented gathering of fuel-equipped aircraft at Al Udeid base, and the transfer of aircraft and combat search and rescue units to the east.

According to the report, US aircraft specializing in reconnaissance and electronic warfare are also experiencing intense activity in the region.

The military analysts cited in the report assessed this troop formation as an indication of potential readiness to launch attacks in the near future.
