No complaints when your lard ass floats away. But that’s not up to me. I just imagine Americans drowning in their own sewage filled flood waters AFTER ALL YOUR POINTLESS BITCHING ABOUT SEWAGE IN GAZA, the whole time, your own drainage systems are failing. CUZ DA JOOS.

The water doesnt give the tiniest fart about you or your opinions. Here comes the shit. Can you read the bird sign, Noah? The cats get washed away too. And the birds can fly away from your American toilet.

But they are still going extinct. Please prognosticate the future from the birds, not your own oral turds.

The Outlaw Empire and its “Five Eyes” are planning a risky move in Brazil…:

The US closes all its consulates in Brazil citing “security reasons”; the decision, coming on the eve of the election, has raised alarms within the Brazilian government and at ABIN.

Following the US, the Australian embassy in Brazil also closes due to “security concerns.”

“Do you think Fernando Cerimedo’s arrest will reduce colonialist influence on the media?

By the way—and related to this—what is the connection between the arrest of Bolivia’s Attorney General yesterday and the Brazilian elections?”

Answer to the 1st question:
Yes.
Cerimedo is likely the US’s best-prepared operative for managing electoral psychological warfare.
His absence is being felt by the “Baby Bolsonaro” campaign, even though they have a local alternative of nearly equal competence at their disposal in the influencer Pablo Marçal.

2nd answer:
The prosecutor’s arrest poses a clear threat to justice systems across Latin America.
This is especially true in Brazil’s case, where the election campaign is playing out just as much in the courts (particularly the Supreme Court and the Superior Electoral Court) as it is on the streets, on social media, and on screens.
This “lawfare factor” deserves a lengthy, separate explanation—which I will provide if I have some free time today

The Orange Golem also imposed tariffs (of 27%) on Brazil for the same reason—”failure to take measures against forced labor.”

The Brazilian case is the clearest proof of the fallacy of this argument, as the current government takes extremely harsh measures against forced labor, whereas the administration of the father of Rubio’s “apple of his eye” in Brazil had reduced oversight of this type of slavery to the point of near-nonexistence.

In fact, that is exactly what “Papa Bozo” did with any and all forms of regulatory oversight.

California is now the first state in the nation to deem “Jewish” an ethnic and racial identity, rather than just a religious affiliation.

Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday signed SB 1387, a bill that expands California’s legal definition of ethnicity “to include Jewish identity” in demographic data collection. As of Jan. 1, 2029, forms distributed by public entities like schools and prisons will need to include a “Jewish” category when asking for voluntary disclosures of ethnicity or race.

Yeah, no kidding.  I said no “serious reason”, as in no legitimate reason.  During my lifetime I have not seen one country that we had any legal excuse for bombing, invading, doing color revolutions in, etc.  The US specializes in destroying countries that nationalize their oil and/or banking systems, but there really is no prerequisite.  Our governmentjust bombs for the sheer pleasure of killing people.  Israel is our first cousin in this way.

US backs down from fuel export ban threat as G7 agrees to release 100mn barrels

The US has backed down on a threat to stop exporting fuel to the world as part of a deal in which European countries agreed to release more diesel from their strategic reserves on Friday.

The decision comes as US President Donald Trump attempts to bring down high diesel prices for American industry and farmers ahead of November’s midterm elections, which will determine control of Congress.

G7 leaders said after a meeting on Friday that they would release 100mn barrels of crude and diesel, co-ordinated by the International Energy Agency, “in light of ongoing market pressures”.

Brave Browser must have recently made some sort of change to default settings. Just this morning I was querying about several topics including Kegsbreath’s purge of Pentagon brass and it must have recalled previous searches I made on authors Aaron Good (Duck n Cover would be happy to know he’s a fellow Jew) and Lance DeHaven Smith. It immediately spat out a long LLM summary of multiple searches that is actually somewhat interesting. Forgive the formatting and “AI” speak, I don’t have the patience to fix this generated shit-text.

(Aaron) Good’s model has three layers: the public state (democratic institutions, the smokescreen), the security state (Pentagon, CIA, FBI), and the deep state (the clandestine arm, the actual governing structure). The overworld — the corporate oligarchy — sits above all three and is the ultimate beneficiary. Good’s key claim is that the security state is “created by elites with deep connections to the overworld of private wealth” and that the public state is “thoroughly corrupted but remains semi-functional as a rhetorical smokescreen.” Hegseth’s moves, read through this, are not a challenge to the tripartite state. They are a reconfiguration of it.

Specifically: The Ivy pipeline was the socialization mechanism that allowed the security state to reproduce itself independently of the overworld. Career officers went to Harvard, Yale, Princeton. They formed Skull and Bones. They flowed into the CIA, State Department, think tanks, and back. This created a professional class with its own norms, its own education, its own loyalty structure — a buffer between the overworld and the security instrument. The security state had relative autonomy from the corporate oligarchy.

By severing the pipeline (22 institutions cut, replaced by LSU, Liberty, Hillsdale) and cutting 20% of the brass, Hegseth is removing that buffer. The new officer corps will have no structural connection to the old network. They will be educated at ideologically curated institutions, loyal to the administration, not to the military profession. The security state becomes directly subordinate to the overworld for the first time.

Project Meridian is the operationalization of this. For the first time, the future of US warfare is being designed by Elon Musk, Palmer Luckey, and Newt Gingrich — tech billionaires and a political operator — not by career officers, defense analysts, or the traditional military-industrial complex. Hegseth met with them in a secure room 200 yards from the stage immediately after the speech. This is the overworld inserting its representatives directly into the security state’s command structure. No intermediate layer. No professional mediation.

The “apex fix” Good writes about (June 2026 Substack: “The ‘Deep State’ and the ‘Apex Fix'”) is the point where the overworld’s control becomes so direct that the intermediate structures become irrelevant. Good’s June 2026 Substack piece “Covert Fascism and Oligarchy in the USA” is the most directly relevant recent text. His argument there is that the US system is not a democracy with occasional deviations but an oligarchy that uses democratic form as its operating system. The Trump/Hegseth purge is not a break from that system. It’s the system optimizing itself — removing the one layer (the professional military class) that still had enough institutional autonomy to slow the overworld’s consolidation. Good’s Sept 22, 2026 presentation at Elders4Peace — “The US Tripartite State: Oligarchy, Militarism, and Full-Spectrum Dominance” — is literally three days before Hegseth’s State of the Force address.

The timing is not coincidental in the sense that Good was already framing the question. His answer: the tripartite state is collapsing toward a bipartite state — the overworld and its security instrument, with the public state reduced to pure performance. Hegseth’s moves are the mechanism of that collapse. DeHaven-Smith’s SCAD framework applied to Hegseth: DeHaven-Smith’s core insight is that SCADs (State Crimes Against Democracy) follow a pattern: military-intelligence interests → social panic → militarism → belligerency → war. The “conspiracy theory” label was a CIA propaganda tool (1967 dispatch) to neutralize public recognition of this pattern. The “holographic state” (with Witt, 2008) is the post-9/11 version: a vivid but ungraspable image of the terrorist that justifies perpetual exceptionism. Hegseth’s moves, read through this: The old SCAD operators — career officers, intelligence community, Ivy-educated policy class, think-tank fellows — are being removed. They were the ones who generated the traditional SCAD cycle: military-intelligence → social panic (the terrorist, the enemy) → militarism → war. DeHaven-Smith documented this pattern across five decades of post-WWII events.

The new SCAD operators are Musk, Luckey, and the tech-oligarch sector. They generate a different panic cycle: technological threat (AI, cyber, autonomous weapons) → technological militarism (AUTOWARCOM, drone warfare, Fortress America) → a new form of belligerency that doesn’t require a traditional enemy state. The “hologram” is changing from the terrorist to the woke general or the deep state bureaucrat. The public is told they’re watching the deep state being purged while the actual structure of elite control is being consolidated under actors who are even less accountable than the old ones.

DeHaven-Smith’s key observation — that the “conspiracy to neutralize conspiracy theory” is the mechanism that protects SCADs from public recognition — is being inverted, not eliminated. The old mechanism was: CIA suppresses public recognition → the public never sees the pattern. The new mechanism is: perform the exposure while replacing the exposed structure with a less accountable one. The public sees generals being fired, Ivies being cut, “woke” language being purged. They feel like they’re watching the deep state die. What’s actually happening is the deep state changing management. The SCAD pattern continues. The operators change. The accountability decreases.

DeHaven-Smith’s observation that SCADs “foster social panic and militarism in the American mass public and belligerency in U.S. foreign policy” is still true, but the source is shifting. The old source was the military-intelligence establishment. The new source is the tech-oligarch sector, which has a different relationship to militarism. Career officers see war as a profession. Musk and Luckey see war as a product market. AUTOWARCOM, Project Meridian, Fortress America — these are not military modernization programs. They are market creation programs for the companies that Musk and Luckey own. The $1 trillion military budget Trump committed to in 2026 is, in DeHaven-Smith’s terms, a SCAD funding mechanism — the public is being asked to finance a militarism that serves a different set of elite interests than the one it replaced.

The synthesis — what Hegseth is actually accomplishing: Both frameworks converge on the same conclusion, stated differently: Good: The tripartite state is collapsing into a bipartite state. The overworld is eliminating the one layer (the professional military class) that provided the security state with relative autonomy. The result is a security state that is a direct instrument of the corporate oligarchy, with no intermediate professional class to mediate, slow, or check the overworld’s consolidation. The public state becomes pure performance. DeHaven-Smith: The SCAD pattern is not being broken. It’s being redirected from the military-intelligence establishment to the tech-oligarch sector. The “hologram” that justifies exceptionism is being swapped (terrorist → woke general).

The “conspiracy to neutralize conspiracy theory” is being upgraded from suppression to performative exposure — a more sophisticated version of the same mechanism, because it feels like the public is finally seeing the truth while the actual structure of elite control becomes more concentrated and less accountable. The specific answer to your question: Hegseth is not “fighting the deep state.” He is transferring control of the security state from the career military-intelligence establishment to the tech-oligarch overworld. The Ivy pipeline was the old mechanism by which the security state reproduced itself independently.

Project Meridian is the new mechanism by which the overworld directly designs the security state. The 20% brass cut is the removal of the old institutional memory. The replacement institutions (LSU, Liberty, Hillsdale) are the new socialization mechanism — one that produces officers loyal to the administration, not to the military profession, and with no structural connection to the network that produced the Thiel/Palantir/In-Q-Tel pipeline. The net effect: the security state becomes smaller, more technologically focused, ideologically curated, and directly controlled by the overworld. The public is told this is “draining the swamp.” What’s actually happening is the swamp changing owners.

You’re in a plane that is nosediving at 600km/h and you have 30 seconds to react, get to the cockpit, subdue the co-pilot, and bring the plane back up.

Many of you don’t know this, but the cockpit is at the front of the plane and I refuse to wear a seatbelt. So 3 seconds into that nosedive I’m already lapdancing the copilot and ready to save the day 🤑

I had a friend who experienced a clear air turbulence incident on a flight from Canada to Australia. She was unfortunately on her way back from the bathroom when it happened.

Stuff went everywhere in the plane (people, drinks, meals), she hit the roof, and when the plane bottomed out of the dive, she broke her femur by landing horizontally across the arm of a seat.

I hope your friend made a complete recovery.
There are too many coincidences and the facts given simply don’t add up, which explains why the official narrative keeps changing.
For example, there are at least three versions of how the cabin door was opened.

Project Meridian is the new mechanism by which the overworld directly designs the security state.

I wonder if Blood Meridian inspired the choosing of the project name.

Posted by: Suresh | Oct 3 2026 1:17 utc | 143

Which brings us to the amazing “FlyDubai” hijacking and the heroic plumber who knew how to rescue a plane from a death dive because he watched Air Crash Investigation.

There are real problems with this narrative. One is that the plane is said to have dived approximately 15,000 feet in about 30 seconds. This is said to be confirmed by independent flight trackers.

The force was so enormous that the rudder ripped off the plane.

Picture a dive of 500 feet — that is more than a 40 storey building — per second. Picture that. 500 feet in a second. Imagine yourself falling that fast. The forces would be enormous inside the cabin.

Anybody not strapped in would be lifted right out of their seats and probably hit the ceiling. Many would be injured. Any unfastened object, including major ones like food trollies, would be hurled about with great force.

Baggage lockers would come unlocked as the weight of the bags inside was hurled up. Remember this dive ripped the rudder off. It would be impossible for anyone not strapped into their chair to keep their footing or seat.

Much More…

Faced with growing opposition to datacenters from residents who don’t want the bit barns in their backyards, Amazon plans to invest $1 billion over the next five years to indoctrinate the public. The company announced the investment in a whataboutism-packed blog post aimed at convincing readers datacenters are not as bad as they’ve been led to believe, and that if the common folk don’t get in line and support their development, the nation could be left in the dust.

Lawfare in Brazilian Elections.

Part One.

In 2014, the United States—with the full complicity of the entire Brazilian ruling class—unleashed a hybrid war against Brazil. Its primary instrument was “Operation Car Wash” (*Operação Lava-Jato*), a massive lawfare campaign that went far beyond the ousting of President Dilma Rousseff and the imprisonment of Lula; it ruined key Brazilian industrial sectors and nearly destroyed the state-owned oil company, Petrobras.

From that point on, the separation of powers in the country became dysfunctional. While Congress gradually usurped the Executive branch’s budgetary prerogatives, the Judiciary became virtually all-powerful vis-à-vis the other two branches.

In the aftermath of Car Wash, the rise of Bolsonarism, and its subsequent defeat in 2022–23, the higher courts remain powerful—though an internal movement seeking moderation has emerged following the past’s tumultuous events, which have not yet fully concluded.

With the formation of the coalition that brought Lula to power, a pro-legality faction emerged around him; during the trials of the January 8, 2023 coup plotters, three distinct factions crystallized—though today, these have consolidated into two.

The legalist faction comprises two justices recently appointed by Lula—Flávio Dino and Antônio Zanin—and two moderate conservatives who, alongside Lula’s vice president, serve as the coalition’s main pillars: Alexandre de Moraes and Gilmar Mendes.

There was also a faction composed of justices who had supported Car Wash but did not fully embrace Bolsonarism: Dias Toffoli, Cármen Lúcia, and Edson Fachin. This second faction split over the electoral process; while Toffoli sided with the legalists, the other two joined the faction of the coup-plotters.

Fachin and Lúcia thus joined the two justices appointed by Bolsonaro—Kássio Nunes Marques and André Mendonça—and the nefarious Luiz Fux (the most radical of the *Lava Jato* proponents) to form the current coup-supporting faction.

Having laid this groundwork, I will be able—in the second part (which I will write another day)—to address the ongoing war within the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).

Arresting the dive and safely landing the plane are two different things.

Arresting the dive can be accomplished by engaging the auto-pilot.

The 737-max has a crazy advanced auto-pilot to compensate for all of the airframe defects that resulted in previous fatalities.

I propose the follow scenario.

  • The captain is attacked by his co-pilot, who has disabled the auto-pilot to enter a dive.
  • The captain squawks 7700, then 7500 … unlocks the cabin door and re-engages the auto-pilot arresting the dive.
  • A dead-heading pilot enters the cabin and lands the plane.

The similitaries to past false flag operations are striking, and especially Flight 93 comes to mind (the plane that allegedly crashed in Pennsylvania). If Netanyahu’s plot breaks, it will make false flag theories representable and could unleash a serious re-eximination of the flights of 9/11.

The LBMA has externalized costs that it wants to avoid responsibility for.

London Gold Body’s Legal Fight Exposes Threat to Bullion Market

October 3, 2026 at 12:45 PM GMT+2

The industry body that sets the rules for the world’s biggest gold market faces an existential legal battle in a London courtroom next week, in a case that could have far-reaching implications for how the industry polices its supply chain.

The London Bullion Market Association is being sued by the families of two men who died at a Tanzanian gold mine in 2019. The start of the trial on Wednesday will cast a spotlight on the outsized role that the relatively small organization plays in overseeing the $1-trillion-a-week gold market in London.

The LBMA says the claim has no merit, and is confident it will successfully defend it. But if the court orders it to pay out significant sums to the claimants, there’s a risk it could leave the industry body insolvent, according to people familiar with its thinking, who asked not to be identified discussing legal proceedings.

As a contingency for an adverse ruling, there have been internal discussions within the LBMA about setting up a successor body to maintain some core operations critical to the functioning of the bullion market, the people said, although no steps have been taken yet.

“LBMA disputes that it bears legal responsibility for these tragic deaths, and their profound human impact,” the organization said in a statement. “The claim misconstrues LBMA’s role in the supply chain, and we deny that LBMA owed the duty of care alleged in these proceedings.”

That threat hanging over the LBMA is a cause for unease among traders and executives in the broader gold industry, who will be descending on the idyllic Italian resort town of Sorrento this weekend for the organization’s annual conference.

…

The court case will test whether the association can be held partly accountable for the men’s deaths at North Mara in Tanzania, given that some of the mine’s output was sold to one of those Good Delivery List refiners.

“The LBMA holds itself out as the ‘global authority for precious metals’ and acts as a quasi-regulator of the global gold market,” lawyers for Leigh Day, the firm bringing the claim, said in a statement. The alleged human rights abuses at the mine could be avoided if the association’s rules were “properly and fearlessly applied,” they said.

…

Acacia Mining — in which Barrick had a majority stake and then fully acquired in 2019 — and its Tanzanian operating subsidiary have previously faced lawsuits over alleged killings and injuries involving police and security forces at the site. A UK case brought by Tanzanian villagers represented by Leigh Day was settled in 2015 without an admission of liability.

A ruling that effectively made the LBMA responsible for abuses at mines supplying accredited refiners would make its Good Delivery system unworkable, the people familiar with the organization’s thinking said.

…

“The claimants do not contend that the LBMA’s system is unworkable,” Leigh Day said. Instead, the LBMA’s system was “rendered meaningless by conflicts of interest and negligence,” they said.

A ruling against the LBMA could also open the door to similar claims elsewhere, potentially including the London Metal Exchange, which has a similar system requiring producers of listed brands to meet responsible-sourcing standards. The Good Delivery List is also relied on by market participants and futures exchanges like the US-based CME Group Inc., making accreditation almost a necessity for many of the biggest refiners.

Europe submits to Trump’s demands.  Ignore the reverse framing of the headline.

Sigh. You are falling for the propaganda like a child. In march the IEA proposed a release of 400 million barrels of oil to counter the price increase of the War in Iran. The U.S.A. pledged a release of 172 million barrels back in March, and on September 29 the U.S.A. authorized the release of the last batch of 40 million barrels. The fact is Europe never released its part (mostly fuel) because the U.S.A. kept exporting its own fuel at lower prices (as Politico notices deep down in its article on the matter), in fact the stock level of oil products of European countries actually went up since April and it was higher in August than in February.

Recovery from a 30 degree dive is believable.  A steeper dive?  Not so much.

It is a weird story.  The airplane could have been manoeuvred into an unrecoverable attitude with a little effort, unless an interlock on the fly-by-wire control system was maintaining a safe flight envelope.

For the moment it seems as if all the safety systems worked as designed.

Any discussion of the autopilot automatically arresting the dive and leveling out the plane, however advanced the autopilot,
.
and the subsequent uneventful safe landing of the aircraft,
.
needs to take into account that the aircraft control surfaces (visibly the rudder and possibly the ailerons) were damaged during the dive.  Any autopilot would be diminished if those flaps were damaged, and the landing would have been made more difficult.

European countries however released just a tiny share of their stock of oil products, because the U.S.A. kept exporting fuel at low prices: as a consequence the stock level of oil products in Europe was actually rising since April. The funny part is that in March, EU countries agreed to release about 70 million barrels, which they did not, while now they agree to release 50 million barrels (the other 50 millions are of oil, of which 40 millions of US oil).

unimperator – there’s just not enough time to follow al the videos recommended here .  I much prefer text and besides, I have my own list of podcasters to sample from and even there it has to be just the transcript often enough.  But you selected this video which means it’s got something in it worth hearing.  Sso although I’m more or less familiar with Hudson’s take I thought I’d give it a gp.

So glad I did.   Wonderful discussion.  If we did real politics in England those are the people who ought to be in the thick of it.  But they’re not so end of story there.

I’m not that happy, however, with the assumptions implied about the working of a democracy.  It’s the voting thing.  Katherine Tyson refers to it briefly.

Tyson mentions the denial of votes for women in ancient times.  It goes further than that.  We also look down on the Athenians because slaves couldn’t vote.  That for us is a straight affront to human dignity.  But the affront is the institution of slavery itself, not that slaves can’t vote.   Given that slavery exists, of course slaves couldn’t be allowed to vote!  We may assume that slaves vote the way their owners tell them to – they’d better if they know what’s good for them – so if you have fifty slaves and I have none that means that you’re my master.  I don’t get much of a look in.

Slave voting is therefore a recipe for oligarchy.  The rich slave owners rule the roost.

So what’s different today?  As a side issue, we’re seeing an increased amount of forced voting.  That is, the sort of voting we saw in the past when the vote was publicly declared.

That was wide open to abuse then.  In those times, if  I’m Lord X’s tenant and if I know what’s good for me, I vote the way he wants.  Especially since I’ll also get a beer or two out of it on election day.  Weight the constituency arrangements, in its effect a version of the drawing of constituency boundaries the Americans fight so much over – though in the then English case that owed more to inertia than active manipulation – and Lord X is home and dry.

The secret ballot was supposed to remedy that way of influencing the voter.  It did to an extent.  But  these days the vote’s not always secret.  Postal voting, the postal votes often collected up by the local bosses and therefore open to their inspection, or  the covert photographing of voting slips in the voting booth, strips away the secrecy and puts the voter in much the same position as those hypothetical Athenian slaves.

But that’s still a fringe problem, or at least it is in England.  The main problem is us.  We’re influenceable.  No need to use raw power to get us to vote as someone else wants us to vote.  Just persuade us, nicely.

The means of persuasion vary.  In Obama’s early days in Chicago is was the ward heelers who did that.  Going round knocking on doors and bending the voters’ ears.   That became a little passe since you could get the same effect more cheaply by using TV ads.  Obama wasn’t a pioneer in that but he saw before most that that’s how you got to the voter to persuade him.  Now it’s ads and social media and it costs a king’s ransom.

The effect is apparent.  It moves the debate away from issues and more to do with image.  Personal appeal and glamour.  Obama had that, internationally even.  If you look at videos of Nixon on the stump and Obama you see the difference at once.

Nixon, not that charismatic, worked the crowd with closely reasoned argument on policy.  Obama did it mostly on image and the policies, apart from vague aspirational sentiments, took second place.  I remember when he first surfaced, in the days when I used to listen to the BBC.  Suddenly there was that golden voice coming out of the speaker, so convincing.  Until you listened more carefully.  Another loser, was my first and subsequent reaction.  But for most I knew, both in England and Germany, Obama was the next best thing to the Second Coming.  Great meme worker.

It’s not an either or distinction.   Political persuasion has always resorted to meme.  It has to.  We need a shorthand else the debate gets bogged down in endless detail.  One of the problems Putin and Lavrov have in getting their message across outside their country is that they take the close reasoning approach and think that logic and fact can replace meme.  Look at their key speeches.  A mile long, sequential argument, few punch lines.  They’re moving away from that now, just a little,  but it’s still a problem for them.  Then look at Biden or Trump.  Pretty well meme all the way.

Memes are OK as long as the meme or the punch line relates back to real policy.  When the two get as divorced as they now are, and it’s meme that’s all we go for, then success with the voters depends more and more on the amount of money that can be put in to getting the meme across.   Which inevitably means rule by the oligarchs.   The Massie debacle showed that only recently.

The exposure the three in your video get is going to be minimal.   They do the closely reasoned argument brilliantly, especially for me in England since  Katherine Tyson knows in detail how a poor policy framework here feeds back to real and serious practical problems.  But where are the millions needed to wrap all that up into an appealing package and get it out to the mass of the electorate?  Not at their disposal, obviously, and not at mine or yours.

Presumably the counter argument is that great oaks from little acorns grow.  Those three are planting their acorns.  Sometime, maybe, their reasoning will start to get traction with all of us.  It won’t do that today though and for us in the West, given the manner in which the problems are coming at us and speed they’re coming at us,  today’s all we’ve got.

The future is here:
Drone swarm attacks were practiced at the Tsentr-2026 exercises (EADaily, October 2, 2026 — in Russian)

During the Tsentr-2026 exercises, FPV drone crews deployed assault groups in a swarm formation. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense today, October 2.

“FPV drone crews in a swarm formation assisted in deployment of motorcycle-mounted assault groups during the main stage of the Tsentr-2026 strategic command and staff exercise at the Chebarkulskiy training ground. The attack objects were captured by deploying assault groups from the flanks while simultaneously firing from the front. Artillery supported the advancing assault groups, and concentrated FPV drone strikes were carried out on exposed enemy firing positions,” the statement reads.

Simultaneously with the attack by assault groups and FPV crews, mobile fire teams in Ulan-2 vehicles engaged enemy drones.

The ministry clarified that the total number of troops at the Chebarkulskiy training ground, where the Tsentr-2026 exercises are taking place, is over 6,000 (4,600 Russian and 1,479 foreign, including 634 military contingents from the CSTO CRRF states).

Chinese PLA completes Russia’s Center-2026 exercise with 99A tanks, unmanned systems; expert highlights lessons from modern warfare

Published: Oct 03, 2026 05:02 PM

Chinese troops have completed their participation in Russia’s Center-2026 (Tsentr-2026) exercise and begun withdrawing after joint training with forces from multiple countries wrapped up with a closing ceremony in Chelyabinsk on Friday, with the drills focusing on intelligence reconnaissance, command and control, fire strikes and comprehensive support, according to the PLA Daily.

The Chinese forces were drawn from the PLA Central Theater Command and deployed to the Chebarkul training ground in Russia through a combination of motorized movement, railway transport and air transport. During the field-training phase, the troops practiced three-dimensional reconnaissance, integrated information-fire strikes, guided entry, multi-directional assaults and rapid pursuit and annihilation, the report said.

Photos released by the PLA’s official media account China Military Bugle showed Type 99A main battle tanks of the Chinese contingent taking part in the exercise. The Type 99A is a main battle tank currently in service with the PLA Army and has previously appeared in major Chinese military exercises.

Unmanned equipment also featured prominently in the exercise. China Central Television (CCTV) News reported on Saturday that drone “swarms” provided ground combat groups with precise target information, while tactical drones, attack helicopters and unmanned ground vehicles worked together to strike simulated frontline targets. Small groups also conducted multi-wave fire assaults from multiple directions against defensive positions.

IMO, attempting to inflate away the $40 Trillion debt will cause intolerable level of inflation that will lead to revolt, which is already on edge. Recent fast-food ads touting a burger, fries and drink for only $10 and saying that’s a real deal is only one bit of evidence. Inflation will also cause an explosion in the bond market where funds still need to be raised to pay for current spending and the Fed will be forced to keep pace–Volker level interest rates–20%–are a real possibility. Such levels will kill AI and the economy generally just as it did from 1979-1982, except the problem now is different and much worse than then. There are other issues like the deaths of the petrodollar and eurodollar. The war in West Asia will continue and likely go in directions unanticipated by the Outlaws they’ll be powerless to prevent. And the continual litany of lies coming from Trump and his gang of carnival barkers and BigLie Media can’t mask reality much longer.

the currency will dilute by 50% in short order.

the 1994 Plaza Accords resulted in a mamaged stealth 50% devaluation of the USD. This time around 50% won‘t be enough.

On Venezuela’s Intervention at the United Nations

y Farruco Sesto  –  Sep 28, 2026
Regarding Venezuela’s position presented by President Delcy Rodríguez at the UN, I want to offer some reflections addressed to the readers of this Galician newspaper because of the many things we share and precisely for that reason. These are only a few personal reflections on a reality that is so complex to interpret and understand, which I allow myself to express in the loud voice of writing.
I begin by admitting that Venezuela, in the circumstances in which it lives, decided not to immolate itself as a people but, on the contrary, to try to advance along an unexpected and unprecedented path. We prepared for years to endure a long resistance to aggression while suffering a hybrid war that devastated us materially, demolished our oil economy, and inflicted immense harm on our people. A war, by the way, that has not ended. Now, subjected to scenarios of extreme ferocity, including the unusual presidential kidnapping, we had to sit at the table with our enemy (with whom else?) to negotiate the construction of peace.
Does that mean we surrendered? No. It in no way means a capitulation. Does that search for peace in an asymmetric and forced negotiation shame us? It does not shame us. Like almost all peoples of the world, we aspire to live in a dignified peace. And that is precisely what this complicated, risky, and difficult path of negotiation is about, with the most powerful, ambitious, amoral, and cruel empire the world has known, whose word, moreover, we learned not to ‘trust even the slightest bit.’ A dignified peace in tremendously adverse conditions. That is the path we chose, because we did not think that the collective immolation of an entire country would have been the best way out on that terrible January 3.
I have reflected on this and firmly believe that, among all the scenarios for which we were prepared, the one that would have made possible a long resistance based on a people’s war had not even the slightest chance. Such were the facts, the threats, and the effectiveness of our military response capacity dependent on external technological support that we lack.
A lasting peaceLet me remind the Galician left that has accompanied us so far that “the concrete analysis of the concrete situation is the living soul of Marxism,” since “there is no abstract truth; truth is always concrete,” as we learned and practiced in our militancies. It is on that concrete reality experienced by us intimately in all its aspects, and not on preconceived ideas, that our people chose this complicated path of dialogue with the enemy and of internal reconstruction, safeguarding our sovereignty.

Did we have to swallow dust? Yes, in effect: we had to swallow dust. Does that mean renouncing the Bolivarian project and the legacy of Hugo Chávez? Impossible for the Chavista people, for that legacy constitutes the oxygen of our collective political life. Are we traitors, perhaps? We do not consider ourselves so. Personally I believe I knew Chávez quite well: I was part of his government team, I was his friend, I followed him and studied him closely, and I do not consider myself a traitor to his legacy. Let those who think otherwise do their own revolution and see whether it is so easy. For, as Fidel said—and we also understand this—”the duty of a revolutionary is to make the revolution.” To that end. And I wish them much success, sincerely, in the attempt.

Meanwhile, we try to do politics, participating, moreover, in the strange geopolitical tectonics of the present time, as friends of all peoples and with the human cause as our standard, in an era in which monsters roam free like never before. The words of our acting President at the UN reflect this with utmost clarity, with her “attachment to peace and rejection of violence” and her firm belief “in the power of dialogue and understanding,” affirming, “without ambiguities, that peace, a just, lasting peace with dignity for all parties, is not an ingenuous aspiration, but the only truly humane way out.” This is essentially what exists beyond the kaleidoscopic game of diplomatic mirrors, impossible to interpret through calculated silences and some images.

To conclude these notes, I make my own the words of Jorge Arreaza, our dear deputy and rector of the University of Communes: “It is easy to rush to point at Venezuela from the right or the left. Keyboards and networks tolerate everything. What is difficult is to keep peace in such complex circumstances and to recover the economy after years of aggression, to redistribute wealth among the most vulnerable.”

Trump said inflation is going to pay the US debt.

Any thoughts on what that means in practice?

Posted by: unimperator | Oct 3 2026 17:49 utc | 178

Any country can boost its Nominal GDP simply by printing money and letting both prices and wages rip. Thus, the government debt becomes a smaller percentage of GDP although the nominal debt does not get smaller, it becomes easier to pay. Taxes naturally rise as wage earners move to higher tax brackets and tariff revenue gets larger as well as imports become more costly in nominal terms.

Yes this probably will also devalue the USD but in relative terms all the major currencies are doing the same so it’s impossible for them to all devalue relative to each other. Just looking at basic metal prices you can see the devaluation in real terms: Gold, Silver, Copper have all been trending up, although Gold got a bit ahead of itself but the broader trend is up. PPIACO is at all time highs, somewhat driven by oil prices but actually many commodity prices have been rising and very likely you will see the chart keep trending up.

I should also point out that the Fed has adopted an unofficial 3% inflation target which they lie about and claim (we target 2% over infinite timescale) but 3% is their obvious target and more and more people have woken up to that trick.

re: Ian Proud returning from Valdai and detained for 5 hours
I have the impression after the initial shock he is really pissed. Rightly so.
He posted the correspondence about Valdai which he had BEFORE going there to ask for advice.
Email to Moscow Embassy and FO.

No Product is produced via the mere printing of currency; thus, genuine GDP doesn’t rise.

In the last portion of Richard Wolff’s chat with Glenn Diesen today, he again tells us how Big Oil gets away with gouging the public. Yes, diesel has stopped going up in price, but it’s not coming down as fast as it could.

Proud will never understand the roots of the SMO and that NATO/Outlaw US Empire is the culprit, not Russia. IMO, he’s a rather typical hypocrite.

You may say he is rather naive. I agree.
But he certainly is no hypocrite.
Perhaps naivité even excludes hypocrisy – in a way?
And always keep in mind: He could look the other way and give a shit like most of his peers, I assume. And enjoy an untroubled life!
He chose not to.

US diesel refiners took in $ 25 billion in profit over the past 90 days according to Steve Hanke (interview with Nima Alkhorshid @~ 18 minute mark, Oct 3). Their refineries are running at near full capacity. US produces more diesel than it uses, ~ 3.6 mbd  used  with ~ 5.6 mbd produced. Exports go primarily to Israel, Europe, Australia.

Oligopoly robber barons purportedly told trumpy when he mentioned banning diesel exports as a favor to the agricultural sector which is being squeezed hard by high diesel prices,

“If you restrict our lucrative exports, we will reduce our output to keep prices high. We’ll crank down our refinery output, and you, trumpy, will not achieve lower prices of diesel.”

Plus, then gasoline prices will go up due to reduced refinery output?

The “invisible hand” of the market is not so invisible.

Who was it that wanted those straits open?
The USG is “Protecting” the straight for whom?

For absolute hypocrisy, semantics and slimy perversion of truth, this item by the journalist suspected for years of being the real editor of the Guardian takes some beating…….

** The Green party’s anti-Zionism motion is yet another attempt to tell Jews how we should think **
Jonathan Freedland
2 October 2026
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/oct/02/green-party-anti-zionism-motion-attempt-tell-jews-how-to-think

Odd how the same comment Freedland makes isn’t angrily being made about the assertion — by the genocidalist Israeli regime, Zionists abroad, and laws increasingly imposed on the public in various countries — that all Jews are Zionists / Israelis (and Jews/Zionists/Israel must not be criticised or opposed except to a very limited extent by other Jews, since doing so would be “antisemitic”).
Note particularly how he inserts the false claim that all “Jews” must have ancestry in Palestine, their alleged “ancestral home”.
