U.S. Confirms Global Empire Ambition

Hmm …

I am pretty sure that the ambition expressed in the quote below is not based on a valid proposition.

“We must continue to ensure that the United States of America can strike anywhere on the globe at the time and place of our choosing, and sustain that force.“

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine
Air Space Cyber Conference, National Harbor, Md., Sep. 16 2026
Transcript, Video

What would western media write about any other country which publicly sets out such aim?

Ensuring that the United States of America can strike anywhere on the globe at the time and place of our choosing, and sustain that force has been effective since the Truman Doctrine was established.

Posted by: Keme | Sep 19 2026 17:09 utc | 4

This is getting to be a bit effing much. My older brother recently scoffed at my assertion that nazis have been in effective control of the US since Truman signed the National Security Act (thank you for the “scientists,” Operation Paper Clip).

As was being said in Russia around the start of the SMO, “time to finally finish WW2.”

Thank you, b.

It’s a bit much to panic about such ambitions about thirty-five years after the collapse of the USSR, but I suppose some people need to latch on to anything.

New images reveal severe destruction at US base in Kuwait after Iranian strikes

Newly released images reveal the aftermath of an Iranian retaliatory strike on a US base in Kuwait, revealing severe damage to several structures, including a bunker and the base’s airfield.

Several structures at the base appear to have been completely destroyed, with surrounding areas also heavily damaged. Buildings that were once operational have been reduced to rubble, with debris scattered across the site.

One of the most notable details in the images is the damage to a bunker designed to protect personnel during incoming attacks. The bunker appears to have sustained a direct drone strike, despite being a hardened structure intended to provide shelter for troops during attacks…….

,,,,The Pentagon has not publicly provided a detailed asses, ent of the damage to US installations across Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Jordan. Satellite imagery, however, has repeatedly shown the impact of Iranian strikes on US positions across the region.,,,,,

American exceptionalism, a remarkably internalized belief system, starts from the premise that the United States is “good” and acts selflessly in the interests of all humanity (albeit sometimes mistaken, but mistaken for all the right reasons). Most Americans believe this, consciously or not.
Just a day or two previous to Caine’s assertion, the Space Force command was admitting that orbiting weaponry was already in place and the U.S. was prepared to deny, by force, access of others to the moon. Barely raises an eyebrow.

It’s a bald example of how the Deep State in the USA is completely out of control, beyond any accountability and transparency, acting in its own interests and not in the interests of “We, the People…”.

Not since Truman, but literally centuries earlier, even before formation of the nation.  For example, Ben Franklin was writing about the need to expand colonies to the Pacific Ocean as early as the 1740’s…see the writings of the ‘revisionist school of American history’ such as William Appleman Williams and Walter LaFeber…

“We must continue…”

That part of the statement connotes policy continuity, that peace isn’t the goal, that dominance is instead. What the Global Majority sees and hears are the words of an Evil Empire that in so many ways has only those words remaining–a Mafia threat to Humanity. The world’s goal is to somehow eliminate that threat to itself without the Outlaws using their only remaining weapons of coercion–nukes.

With the implementation of the new tariff law against the planet, the only valid response is to cease all trade with the Outlaws, to cease using its currency, to cease buying its debt and equities, and to cease using its global financial architecture–a 100% refutation of the last remaining tools of the Outlaw’s attempts at colonialism. There are now several examples of the resistance required to neuter the Outlaws the Global Majority must emulate. For those of us living within the beast, the best we can do is to cease feeding its institutions by adopting our own personal austerity programs; for example, don’t take on any new debt, don’t use any AI, only purchase essentials, and form resistance communities.

The Viking “might is right” philosophy has led them into a dead end: the empire is bleeding itself dry in a Herculean effort to subjugate the rest of the world by force—an endeavor that sparks growing resistance both globally and at home. In contrast, there is the Eastern philosophy—as the Chinese philosopher Mengzi famously observed: “Power may compel others to comply. But in the end, it is trust that truly wins others over.” The Vikings will never understand why, no matter what they do, China has taken their place on the world stage.

Christ, a full on grand mal display of stage 2.

Well, I guess it eventually had to come at some time; the denial phase was drawn out much longer than one would think possible.

How long have certain people been saying exactly this? How many fools – people like Snowden – allow their egos to declare that they know best?

The facts have always been there, completely exposed for any to see. That is, unless one permitted ideology and belief to cloud judgment.

It certainly would be nice if alt.media could move on past the group hug cry-fest and begin analyzing the true underlying bases for estimating & calculating odds.

No, Russia China Iran will prevail because I want it, dammit, but rather an honest assessment as to who will actually come out on top.

I’m betting on my home team, but I think both Russia & China have excellent opportunities in which to build out their respective tech economies, providing substantial material benefits for their respective populations.

Good news from Inside China Business    https://youtu.be/GIrUXsrucPU

The Biden administration effectively used prohibitions on using Chines EV and Solar Energy parts when he was “bringing EVs and Solar Power in the United States”.  Make big public demonstrations about how US POWER and US MONEY and all that jazz could bring these to the United States.  Enforce Executive Orders that make it impossible to implement.

Now Trump is doing to the rest of our power grid what the Biden administration did to Green Energy.  He is enforcing recent Trump Executive Orders prohibiting any Chinese equipment from being used in our power grid.

With the Biden administration, it was clearly intentional institutional sabotage.  Whether the people that wrote the Trump Executive Orders to gut our power grids are doing it out of stupidity, or out of intentionally trying to Make Americans Homeless Again, the results will be the same.  The US will steadily lose its ability to destroy the lives of people outside the US.  Regardless of our desire to strike anywhere on the globe.

How’s Caine going to do any of that?…The US is far behind in the all-important hypersonic missile area, has wasted trillions on a mostly useless Bluewater Navy, and has many women in command positions…Not to mention that it killed 2500 of its troops with a lethal injection, in violation of US law….

There it is, “I want it daddy!” LOL

You can count on two hands the number of empires which have successfully projected power past their immediate geographic locations:

Greece, Rome (Venice), Spain, Portugal, France, Netherlands, Britain, USA. (Honorable mention to Japan for 4 years.)

Alt.media is facing a cross roads: continue to engage in wishful fantasy, or begin to address the very real fight on hand.

Sites like this arose because intelligent people rejected the main stream slop being fed morlocks. But it risks the danger of engaging in similar exercises in fantasy simply people their minds are literally repealed by truth.

China has no track record of imperial posture; nada, zilch. Russia of course exists from internal expansion from ancient Rus, while Iran has experienced periods of extended (regional) control.

Any reasonable punter is going to evaluate the entire field, and not allow their emotions to guide action.

The main reason that the US has fallen so far behind in many tech areas is obvious…DEI has prevented the hiring of white men, the smartest and hardest working part of the population, and the result has been ruinous in many industries including the defense industries….

Nope.  1)  It also discriminates against Asians at least in colleges now, and 2) Asians work harder than white men in many fields that require collegiate degrees.

Also:

USA lost moral authority a long time ago, and many of the best and brightest in America would NEVER work for the “defense” industries… ..or join the military.

Posted by: Hobbes | Sep 19 2026 18:27 utc | 29

All of them, excluding the USA (so far) either collapsed and imploded violently or decayed and faded away as the costs of maintaining empire started outweighing the profits gained. The US is not immune from either, or indeed both processes; arguably symptoms are starting to make themselves known already, with the increasing exposure of US military force projection as ineffective in achieving the goals of empire, and the ructions in the global debt markets, with investors casting a flinty eye towards the prospect of continuing to fund the US imperial ambitions.

Many in the US see global dollar usage as an indicator of global strength; it is no such thing, it is a massive vulnerability for the empire, and one that which nothing can be done about; all those dollars cannot be stopped from returning ‘home’. Weimar will look like a teddy bears picnic in comparison.

All empires rise, flourish, stagnate (you are here), decay and fall; the “exceptionalist” US is not excepted from this rule.

It’s funny to see how much it burns the asses of the Putin fanatics;
I wonder what the three Zionists sent by Trump discussed—practically in private—with Putin for three hours, while American cargo planes were shuttling back and forth to Poland unloading weapons for the “Ucro-Nazis”? Did they settle on each of their payouts?
If you hang out with a cripple, you learn to limp—and Kirill Dmitriev has quite the limp.

Our excellent host’s current post about the USA’s pursuit of global dominance by means of overhead weaponry ties in well with barflies’ recent discussion about the Apollo space program (https://www.moonofalabama.org/2026/09/a-most-severe-diesel-crunch-will-soon-hit-europe.html/comment-page-3#comment-1411290).

A book that presents in interesting and well-sourced detail the intimate conjunction of both issues is “One Small Step? : The Great Moon Hoax and the Race to Dominate Earth from Space” by Gerhard Wisnewski, available for download without fee or user data, in both PDF and EPUB formats at https://oceanofpdf.com/authors/gerhard-wisnewski/pdf-epub-one-small-step-the-great-moon-hoax-and-the-race-to-dominate-earth-from-space-download/ Published in 2007, the book capably analyzes both the available evidence and the most frequently proferred red herrings.

I assure Malenkov, Norwegian, and Doctor Eleven that you could learn a lot from that resource and others which are readily available to anyone with an inquiring mind and an impartial perspective.

BREAKING: France is running out of fuel. 11% of France’s stations nationwide are now out of petrol or diesel, one in nine, with 16% of stations short in Grand Est, 15% in Pays de la Loire, 14% in Occitanie, and 13% in Centre-Val de Loire, per government figures published this morning.

The official count only registers a station as short if it has no petrol at all or no diesel at all, so a station out of one grade but holding another is not counted, meaning the real shortage is much larger. French diesel averages €2.406 a litre, about $10.45 a gallon.

Europe is facing its worst energy crisis in history.

I wouldnt worry about such rhetoric.  It just states that any nation is used to increase the power of its rulers to the maximum extent.  They all do it, even if its constrained by resources be close to or within its borders.   The raw potential of the US let’s it expand to the whole globe but thats not because they’re extra greedy, just their rulers have that much more power at their disposal.   The USSR in its heyday likewise had no qualms about flexing a long way from its borders, or Britain during its time in the sun etc..

instead of lashing out at the person raising the issue, try countering with arguments in his defense and dismantling the dilemma—
if I’m not mistaken, every time Putin mentions Trump’s name, it’s to praise him and declare just how close and friendly they are.

Apologies for quoting my own post, but this is the key point, and something that General Caine has yet to understand, and not just the esteemed General but much of the entire population of the US seem to be ignorant about the profound implications for their lifestyles, indeed even their very lives.

Posted by: Jeremy Rhymings-Lang | Sep 19 2026 19:55 utc | 54

How different is what Dan Caine saying from Trump’s threat to erase an entire civilization or Europeans constantly saying they need to go to war with Russia?

I sometimes get the feeling that China, Iran and Russia are enabling bad behavior by allowing acts of aggression with “calibrated” pushbacks instead of a well deserved jaw breaking punch to the face.

Posted by: Suresh | Sep 19 2026 19:55 utc | 55

Assuming there are no nuclear weapons involved, the whole strategy seems to be to be able to say:

‘We can strike you when and where we want, and without warning’

This goes from ‘the innocent citizen’ such as those who comment here, who might bear in mind that they can be targeted from space and so lack agency but for the grace of the some military agency, right through to a leader being able to walk confidently into a high level meeting and look the other leader in the eye with the thought ‘Get it wrong and you’re gone’.

So mostly psyop, or the ability to take out limited targets cleanly.

News headlines like ‘Ship disappears’ or ‘Research center explodes’ … but silence from US, just a knowing speculation, and the knowledge that ‘they’ are active now according to own principles.

No troop movements, buildup or covert flights.

No diplomatic announcement or warning.

Just continuously triggered.

I expect if they do manage to get a working system, other countries will be obliged to counter it in space, or to ‘disassemble’ it.

So pretty stupid imo, and a waste of rocket fuel for an insta-gizmo.

Obviously aligned media will weep words of praise and ability over the new standing and capacities achieved, that stealth has been achieved for large rod size and similar, but a waste of ink, energy and time also.

Just something to create a new public psychoplay.

Just something that permits the aggressive to have the confidence to act aggressively.

In short, an orbital turnip.

When I look at the stars though, I find even the thought of all that junk flying around up there offensive.

What we are looking at here is an echo of these words by an excited not to say crazy French author: ” To attack the sun, to expunge it from the universe, or to use it to set the world ablaze- these would be crimes indeed!”
Those acquainted with “The Story of O” may recollect that young lady’s enrollment in a sadistic fraternity which began “You are here at the service of your masters…”
Underlying all US culture is the sadism of the slavemaster and his co-adjutors who massacred the indigenous, burned their villages and raped their children. It was from this that West Point was born.

How on earth is the US going to do that ? Because the US just announced that starting september 30, 2026, the US will start the process of pulling out ALL US troops from Iraq.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8lY-ekzgcs  (length: 8 minutes, the snippet of news of the US troops pulling out of Iraq is from (about) 6:00 onwards.

Robert Pape (University of Chicago) gave in a video interview a very decent indication of how US power projection around the world could be sustained. He pointed out that Russia, Iran and the Ukraine are now heavily depending on drones and cruise missiles to fight a war and that other countries are going to change the way they are “projecting power” accordingly and will change the way they’re conducting future wars. There are videos out on YouTube in which that change in warfare is being discussed.
Pape also pointed out that this could mean that China is no longer able to invade / “conquer” Taiwan. Taiwan could / will build A LOT OF drones and missiles with which it is able to retaliate  (like Russia and iran) when / if China attacks Taiwan.

Let’s just break Dan Caine’s sentence about striking anywhere and at any time down.

Have they ever been able to against  peer opposition?

As many had suspected,  Trump’s first strikes on Iran was kabuki with Iran taking out the radar in Qatar. I suspect the GCC played a huge role in staying Iran’s hand.

I doubt the brave Houthis would have the least hesitation in striking Turkish or Paki forces if sent to Saudi Arabia, or even the countries themselves; hell, they already took on the US and Nato in the Red Sea…. and won

The governments of Pakistan and Türkiye would be making a grave strategic mistake by joining any military campaign against Yemen’s Ansar Allah. The United States has already tried and failed to defeat the movement, as did an eleven-country coalition armed with overwhelming firepower and virtually unlimited resources. Islamabad and Ankara should ask themselves what they could realistically achieve where far more powerful forces failed.

Ok, so, to the post.  As our illustrious host said of Imperialist genocidal Dan Caine’s hot air: not based on a valid proposition.
In other words, this is just more Imperialist trash talk.  The trash talk of the Imperialists is inversely proportional to their actual power.
Ignore the bloviating and watch the scoreboard.  Zio Imperialism is desperate and losing on all fronts.
Will we aid it in its weakened state, stand around and watch or kick it over?  That is the question.

Missiles and drones are merely conter to advanced air and naval power projection.

They negate a superior force from dominating/controlling geographical chokepoints.

The boots on ground equation is still relevant in subduing restive natives.

The key to controlling natives without “boots on ground” was always financial. Those financial institutions are now being challenged by BRICS, non dollar transactions and loss of Petrodollar circulation.

Without traitors like the Iraqis, Syrian,  Lebanese, Palestinians or Venezuelans to buy off within,  the Empire is useless.

In Taiwan’s case, a blockade is all that’s required.

Firstly,  the sentiment of the population does not reflect current US controlled Government. Then there’s the tyranny of geography.

The statement assumes every other nation must surrender sovereign self-defense to be OK with that statement by Gen. Caine. Since that is an impossibility basically this is a panicked call of USraeli empire to fund Star Wars again. I’d like to think with modernity we can thread back who is making the call behind the Gen. Caine cat’s paw (like Angelo notes in post 53 referencing the cartoon Pinky & the Brain).

Now my next questions would be what associations Gen. Caine has with which: 1) think tanks, 2) military contractors, and or 3) how arrested is his mental development to pre-teen amazement with movie special effects.

/laser blasts and R2D2 sounds
😉 Not now, starling buddy. I wanna finish my point.

Since the DoD(DoW) has been a revolving door for several administrations now, I expect a cushy private liaison consultant after Gen. Caine’s retirement. Is this feathering his nest ahead of time trying to scare up funds for more military space funding? Has he already made a deal unnoticed? Since the fall of empire is the time to loot and scoot, who is he abetting?

🙂 Sorry, I’m just an ignorant wee bird in the garden. If I knew better I wouldn’t cast aspersions on such a big, important man’s integrity, a general no less! But it looks to me as a way to sneak away stuffing to pad one’s nest before things run out.

Mmmm… maybe, except for when the mustering points for the boots on the ground are within range of the same missiles that “negate a superior force from dominating/controlling geographical chokepoints.”…

Still, no problem:

“We must continue to ensure that the United States of America can strike anywhere on the globe at the time and place of our choosing, and sustain that force.“

Bit of a hassle when others have the means to negate an ostensibly superior force…

It all sounds expensive !  Gen Dan Caine wants tobe able to strike anywhere in the world and sustain combat operations achieving what , he does not elaborate .Nor does he say how many trillions it cost . This is what the MIC wants to hear of course . America needs to rebuild its manufacting base and it starts here at home building weapons .  The US is going to have to morph from the worlds biggest consumer economy to a big industrial producer and refining economy without polluting its cities and waterways . Those are lofty goals that will require lots of innovation in the fields of energy , refining , mining , physics research and development .  Good luck to the US and may the force be with you .

Your observation is why I suggest those living within the Outlaw Empire adopt personal austerity plans; for example, making a simple sandwich instead of queuing at a fast-food outlet for your lunch as I saw many doing today. I listened to a Steppenwolf compilation CD during my outing today–music closing in on 60 years-old–and noted again the lyrics to “The Monster”–the MIC–and the call to Americans to defend their sons and daughters from its evil. In other words, the Outlaws have been threatening the world for decades in the same manner it just did, although perhaps not as explicitly. The plan Harry Dexter White and team composed then made the world adopt at Bretton Woods in 1944 enabled Outlaw dominance of the world in a manner and scope that continues. Keynes provided the only viable alternative but was far too weak, although it’s still a viable alternative that a much stronger Global Majority could adopt as their own.

Modern economies run on cash and credit and the institutions that provide them. Their control has proven to be the key to attaining and continuing dominance as the Catholics and Muhammad both understood. Modern China has also learned that lesson. Unhorsing the Cult of Mammon as psychohistorian insists is 100% correct, and once undone monetary instruments and institutions must submit to public control and very strict oversight. From within the Empire, that goal seems Quixotic, but the Empire isn’t Humanity–it’s only 4%.  China’s reaction to the Graham Tariffs IMO is a double-down dare: Go on and try to apply your sanctions and see what happens. That it was done just days before Xi Jinping is to meet with Trump before speaking at the UNGA Debates was as foolish as Caine’s utterance.

Another lyric line from another Steppenwolf tune: “You’re so full of Bull Sam.”

“We must continue to ensure that the United States of America can strike anywhere on the globe at the time and place of our choosing, and sustain that force.“
1)  Sustain that force?  Given the substantial depletion of US inventory of stand-off weapons and interceptor missiles after Trump tried to sucker punch Iran, I’d say that ship has already sailed.

2)  In the next breath, he’ll be referring to ‘Putin’s war machine.’ It’s quite a con when a country can say shit like this and talk like the US is on the defensive at the same time.  It’s getting so the only people who believe this nonsense are people who live in the US and Europe.

The key clause: “…  sustain that force.” That cannot be done as is now being proven. Cheryl’s use of “the force” I’ll equate with the energy to do work. That’s being undermined by General Caine’s boss as this video that was posted above explains. But that isn’t the only info on that subject as several dozen have appeared here during this year alone. And now there’s the looming transport fuel crisis the Empire cannot escape. In today’s world, the Outlaw US Empire is relegated to a subordinate position when it comes to the critical resources and supply chains required to “sustain force” possible. Printing useless dollars will not solve an issue tied to physical realities.

Uncle Sam’s tryst with the Earth Goddess has come to an abrupt end when he says he can’t leave by her front door because there’s a man down there (insert favorite Olympian God) that looks like it might be her man, so Sam needs to sneak out the bedroom window because he wants to avoid a confrontation he’s likely to lose. (Yes, there’s much more to that 5 years-old blues tune, some of which is also applicable.)

Striking and “sustaining that force” are very different things.  Strikes are essentially pinpricks.  Monica Missiles.  Does he mean sustained strikes (to what purpose)?  That is not the same as sustaining ground forces in combat.

Look at Ukraine.  There is a pretty clear differentiation of the front line versus strategic strikes (yes there are some that are in between). Similarly in WW2, strategic bombing and ground combat were different things.

I am sort of not surprised that it is an Air Force officer making this comment.  they live for strikes.  But…it’s pretty different from how the Army or even Navy think.
The other thing of course is that overwhelming capabilities lead to overreach (look at Iran kerfuffle now).  They lead to interventionism or even being the World’s policeman.  Forces should be for defense.  Yes, the ability to trade force in offense is helpful.  But having too much dominance can be an issue.

Also “everywhere” seems like a reach.  Within the borders of Russia, China, allies?  Do we really have that capability?  And in many cases, we are dependent on basing in foreign countries (like Qatar) or even allies (like Diego Garcia which is UK).  So it is pretty easy to have access issues.  Yes…carriers are more portable.  But they have limits also.  Lot less bombs on an F18 than a B52.  I miss the A6!

Finally sustaining “the force” (let us consider it to mean strikes and strike delivering platforms) can be a reach.  We run short of certain assets over time.

Most of the 12 USN CVN carriers are now either in drydock, under repair or just plain worn out……hardly a formula for worldwide strikes as General Caine alleges.

Latest to leave active status is the USS Gerald R. Ford, now undergoing billions of dollars in repairs after the ‘laundry room’ fire or anti ship missile strike by the Houthis (take your pick on your own scenario).  Its expected to out of service for years.

USS Abraham Lincoln is limping it way to San Diego with structural and severe maintenance issues, and expected to be out of service for many months.

USS JFK has numerous technical problems and is not ready for active service, necessitating the delay in decommissioning the USS Nimitz.  Nimitz however is not now carrying its air fleet and is being used as a ‘training carrier’ and is unfit for active service.

US propaganda is preparing American for Trump being replaced by … well whoever the Epstein Class decides is the person to run their next plan.  Republicans focus on killing Iranians, democrats focus on killing Russians.

The US will likely declare a glorious victory over Iran, and then prepare for Russia.  Democrats are being primed on multiple platforms.  The goal that the Epstein class had for the Trump administration was:  Europe, including Ukraine, takes care of Russia, while the US and Israel take care of Iran.  Trump played his part well.  The US intelligence services and US military – not so much.  Both Russia AND Iran are substantially stronger than Biden and Trump were led to believe.

So the Epstein Class cheerleaders on the side of the democrats are now talking incessantly about how Trump loves Putin, and that once good patriotic democrats are in charge, well we will show the world what REAL US POWER IS ABOUT.  All against Russia.  Europe can’t do it by themselves, so we will STILL try and lead from behind, as Obama tried to claim against Libya.  Except that the Europeans ran out of ammo in about a week.  But just like Israel was supposed to take the lead against Iran but it ended up being just US vs Iran, with Iran crushing the US, European forces are likely to be only used in reserve against Russia with US troops eventually manning the front lines.  Or our mercenaries.  But it will have to be a lot of US troops.

The US attempt to defeat Russia via the air will invite Russian fabs and North Korean missiles and probably Chinese drones to swarm European military bases and port cities.  The result of Europe allying with the US on this will likely turn out horribly for Europeans.

As was stated long ago, it’s FATAL to be allied with the US.  Looks like Europe is stepping up to the plate to experience this first hand.

I had a similar experience to Fisher a few years ago. Don’t know which agency the guy who interrogated me belonged to (the USA has so many).
The USA is a strange country.  I saw a man buying a gun for his prepubescent son, only needing to show his driving licence to do so. Yet I was always asked whether I was 21 or older when trying to buy a drink (I was 32 at the time). This was in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Also, I saw no mixed (black and white) groups of people in bars and restaurants. They kept to themselves.
