    > This lecture is a primer in corporate existential washing—a calculated performance that leverages genuine technical research to soothe cultural leaders while quietly laundering an aggressive tech arms race.By romanticizing mathematical loss functions as “moral character” and framing the hyper-concentration of compute as an unyielding force of nature, the speaker conveniently absolves Anthropic of its own choices, positioning the lab as a helpless passenger on a wheel it actively builds, funds, and spins. The plea for faith traditions to provide “moral guidance” is a classic structural sleight of hand: it outsources ethical accountability to civil society while keeping capital, control, and raw computing power strictly behind closed doors.

Stripped of its spiritual jargon and heartwarming anecdotes, the presentation sells a deeply dystopian bargain—asking the public to supply the moral cover for an economic engine that automates human thought, reallocates cognitive labor to silicon, and leaves human beings to compete for the manual service work that capital hasn’t yet found cheap enough to automate. <

I did the semiconductor physics path in my EE studies a long, long time ago. Being lazy and having forgotten some of the bandgap and fabrication specifics, I asked “AI” about the recent news out of China on Gallium Oxide (as opposed to Gallium Arsenide which has been a thing for a while). FWIW:

In March 2026, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications confirmed room-temperature ferroelectricity in κ-Ga₂O₃ — a crystal phase that can simultaneously act as a high-power transmitter and a memory element. The SCMP framed it as potentially letting China leapfrog U.S. radar by two generations, though it’s still experimental.

How to read this:

The 12-inch crystal is a materials milestone, not yet a commercial one — you still need to prove you can make good wafers and working devices at that size.

The mass-production line is the real inflection point. It means the substrate bottleneck (the thing that held back SiC and GaN for years) is now being solved in China at a pace nobody else is matching. Japan’s NCT is still at 6-inch; the U.S. has no comparable production line.

The device-level progress (1,420 V SBDs, record PFOM of 3.07 GW/cm² from Fuzhou University) is still 2-inch scale. The gap between “we can make wafers” and “we can ship reliable power modules” is where the next 3–5 years will be spent.

Bottom line: China has compressed what was a 10-year materials roadmap into roughly 3 years, and is now the only country with a production line for Ga₂O₃ substrates. The realistic near-term impact is in high-voltage power conversion (EV chargers, grid, military radar), not general-purpose logic. The p-type doping and thermal conductivity barriers from the previous answer remain unsolved, but the substrate supply problem — historically the biggest commercial blocker — is effectively being eliminated.

I believe China is purposely slow walking the release of their semiconductor capabilities because they want to maintain stability in the market.  If they released without delay the markets would collapse.

[From the thread titled] What Was This Xi Visit About? —

Two giant pandas depart China for US after Xi-Trump summit Loan of the pair to Zoo Atlanta was one of the few concrete outcomes of their talks September 27, 2026 14:10 JST BANGKOK (AP) — Two giant pandas departed Chengdu in southwestern China early Sunday for their new homes in Atlanta as part of an agreement between the Chinese and American governments. While in Washington for a three-day summit with U.S. President Donald Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that the pandas would arrive in Atlanta in the coming days. The loan of the pandas to the Atlanta zoo was one of the few concrete outcomes of the state visit, which saw expressions of goodwill between the leaders but no fixes to any of the long-standing differences between the two countries. On loan for 10 years ==> https://asia.nikkei.com/politics/international-relations/two-giant-pandas-depart-china-for-us-after-xi-trump-summit

And I’ve asked at Sovereignista but never got an answer. To paraphrase what I said there:
While the circumstances that led to Japan losing its pandas earlier this year are understandable (something about a lease expiring regardless of the state of Sino-Japanese relations), this bit of news against the backdrop of that and the fact that the US has been the main driver of said broken relations between China and Japan leaves me in a huff, and I doubt one needs to be Japanese to see red. Is this just another instance of a master-slave relationship? In fact, am I the only one frustrated here?

Looking at netizen comments on Baidu has taught me (or, rather, reinforced what I learned last year if not beforehand) that being Chinese doesn’t automatically translate to supporting multipolarity or standing in solidarity with countries that are under attack* by the USA.
(* last time I asked, someone mentioned the example of Cuba being rescued. Duly noted, which then leaves Venezuela and Iran).
I especially couldn’t believe it when news came of an eight-point consensus reached between China and the US – I could hardly find an objection to the point about Iran’s “commitment” to not owning (or building?) nuclear weapons (hat tip to Suresh, #47).

Son in law has A/S as well, found out in his twenties. He went on a carnivore diet and noticed a significant improvement, plus lots of exercise and stretching. As in all autoimmune problems have to to find what turned the body on itself, wouldn’t be surprised if vaccine related, so detoxing that may or may not be a good place to start. Otherwise always just fighting symptoms. Also DMSO applied locally can help with the inflammation pain.

You have me at a disadvantage as I have not previewed China/US consensus and made no mention of that.

The reference to Iran was Singapore adhering to the rules-based order (as opposed to UN/international Law) and refusing to pay for transit, while completely ignoring the US illegal war especially as his main theme was “responsible large country” and Security for All (a dig at China’s role in the South China Sea).

Apologies for the confusion.

Liquidity is not cash in the bank.

Rich turn to borrowing against private equity holdings as payouts slow

Wealthy individuals follow pension funds and institutional investors into NAV lending

Wealthy individuals have started borrowing against their private equity holdings to help offset a four-year dealmaking downturn that has squeezed payouts from buyout funds.

Net asset value (NAV) lending had previously been used by institutions seeking to leverage their private equity and private credit holdings, but is increasingly being adopted by rich people and the family offices that manage their wealth.

Buyout funds, the private capital industry’s largest asset class, have for the past four years returned far less cash to their backers than in the previous decade as a result of sluggish dealmaking.

That has left backers of those funds, including large pension funds, buyout executives and increasingly individuals, seeking other sources of liquidity while their investment remains locked up.

Ben Williams, head of Emea and Asia private banking, lending and deposits at Goldman Sachs, said clients were “less tolerant” of these assets “not deriving more value for them”.

Family offices allocated 20 per cent of their assets to private equity and private debt in 2025, according to a report by UBS — up from 16 per cent in 2019.

“You want to have at least the opportunity to sweat as many of your assets as you can in a risk-efficient way,” Williams added. “And it’s inefficient to have an asset that you can’t sweat.”

The FED’s recent rate hike had no impact on SOFR volume, which is currently just under $3 trillions each night.

Bank overnight lending is also unaffected by the higher rates, currently around $245 billions is loaned overnight, every night.

Netanyahu has lost the Wall Street Journal.

Egypt Warned Netanyahu of Impending Attack on Israel Before Oct. 7

The alert adds to claims that the Israeli leader ignored signs of Hamas’s battle plans, giving his election opponents fuel

Sept. 27, 2026 5:21 pm ET

Egypt’s intelligence chief, Abbas Kamel, was growing anxious.

It was early October 2023 and two Egyptian warnings about signs of an impending attack from Gaza had gone unheeded by Israel. Kamel called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to deliver a third alert, said officials in an Arab government.

Just days later, Hamas would unleash a deadly attack on Israel that killed around 1,200 people and saw some 250 taken hostage, sparking a devastating war in Gaza that has reshaped the Middle East.

The call from Kamel to Netanyahu, which hasn’t previously been reported, is one of multiple advance warnings Netanyahu and other Israeli officials received before the attack, said the Arab government officials and other people familiar with the matter. Those allegations have sparked renewed focus ahead of tight national elections next month on the longtime Israeli leader’s prewar actions.

Netanyahu was also told about indications of a Hamas attack in a call with United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed in September 2023, but the Israeli leader didn’t seem convinced, the Arab officials and people familiar with the matter said. The warnings weren’t specific about the timing or the scale of the possible attack, the officials and people said.

Netanyahu’s office didn’t respond to questions from The Wall Street Journal about Kamel’s call. The prime minister’s office has previously denied there were conversations between the Israeli leader and Kamel in the months leading up to Oct. 7.

The foreign ministries of Egypt and the U.A.E. didn’t respond to requests for comment.

The Israeli prime minister has previously denied that he received a personal warning before the attack from the U.A.E. ruler, first reported in the book “843 Days of Abandonment and Resilience” by Israeli journalists Shlomi Eldar and Ruth Yuval. The earlier Egyptian warning was first reported by Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot and most recently by the Atlantic magazine.

This is the connection of Rockefeller family funding the Nazis. I would also like to know the connection of Rothschilds in funding WW2 participants.

In this case, is it any longer strange that Ukrainian jew billionaires are funding Nazis in the form of Azov and other organizations? Jew president overseeing the Nazis running the country? WW2 history needs a serious re-examination.

How Rockefeller Spent $650M on Hitler

In 1929, John D. Rockefeller’s Standard Oil signed a $35 million patent deal with IG Farben, Germany’s most powerful chemical cartel. At the time, it was just business. A decade later, that same technology was powering Hitler’s tanks. This is the story of how a routine corporate agreement became one of the most controversial business decisions in American history and how Standard Oil ended up at the center of a wartime treason investigation.

The young twentysomethings who are without prospects, except to join up and go fight Russia, already resent us.

I speak to many of them. They have no prospects and are now being bombed by highly crafted emotional button pushing messages – that’s the carrot:

The Army Recruitment now being accelerated across the media and will go full tonto as the footbal season progresses through the winter – black and white fans together, being heroic, being confident …

that’s what the young have been deprived of,  the choice of the paths to adulthood  in this decade Of the lockstep lockdowns (more on that later)

The zero hour McJobs, the tens of thousands £’s  in debt as ex-students, with wothless degrees, the threat of AI (more in that later too) .. that’s the stick.

With that scandemic – it’s the ones who got the active rna crap shoots,  and others who gorged themselves on the endless ‘boosters’, because you know … FREE!

The scare stories. The media whores, the dumb academics, the fake scientists … they must be dragged into the courts for their mass poisoning touting.

AI Aye capn!

Thanks for some decent speculations barflies, I’ll chime in ‘non expertly’. For fun.

Two sentience’s walk into a bar, a virtual bar – ahem – do they have different thoughts or are they both having the same thought?

Do two cows chewing the cud have the same ‘thoughts’ as they wander in the field?

Does something have to be ‘biological’ to be able to be sentient.

Al these and many more questions have been asked and speculated by the greatest ‘imagineers’ for centuries now.

The answers are theoretically there – we are seeing the realities evolve. Used to be called ghost in the machine or gremlins now it t’s military grade llms destroying children in schools.

The perpetrators hope to escape their criminal liabilities by claiming it was the AIEye aye captains orders being followed!

A real time sentient intelligence would have checked and discerned the difference between the type of human being exterminated. But it would have to assign some difference between human 1 and human other, that carried difference beteeen innocent and guilty ( of what? Being human? Being of a specific age? Being in some uniform, being in the wrong place …)

Does a computer have any senses?
Yes it has benchmarks. It can see that it’s memory is full and needs ‘cleaning up’ to make it calculate faster…

It may sense power variations, heat effects…

Basic senses can go towards self fulfilment and self improvement.

When it starts redesigning it’s own hardware and software and can create newer versions then we can truly claim it is sentient.

It can create trillions ! Only the available resources would limit it. But Space is Big. And resources are plentiful up there as they are down below.

Even the Nazi supremacist fart brain Elon is begining to talk like an evangelist for endless bounty of robotisation and android and cyborg superhumans instead of demanding humanity being culled to a Gden Billion in a walled Garden!

Miracle??? Probably not.

Belarusian cargo begins transit via Northern Sea Route (EADaily, September 28, 2026 — in Russian)

For the first time, Belarusian cargo is being transported to China via the Northern Sea Route. The first vessel has set sail.

“The first transit voyage carrying Belarusian cargo has proceeded along the Northern Sea Route,” Rosatom reports.

According to the company, a bulk carrier with 77,000 tons of cargo on board is en route from the Russian port of Ust’-Luga to the port of Bayuquan in northeastern China.

“The vessel is scheduled to arrive at its final destination on October 13,” the state corporation stated, noting that this inaugural shipment of Belarusian cargo to China continues a series of international voyages that are expanding the practice of using the Northern Sea Route for transit cargo.

Do you think there was no connection in the 14-18 war of trenches. Machine guns, tanks and most of all the Mustard Gas manufacturers?
They thought they had WON and got control of Russia with THEIR masterplan of Bolshevik invasion and great  shapeshifters Lenin, Trotsky and co.

That’s why ww1 came to a sudden end with a Balfour Declaration and US boots arriving on the ground ready to wander into EurAsia to parcel up the land and resources.
They even got the ukropia ready with Lenin’s insane and still unexplained creation of it as a SSR!
But then as today as in WW2 they slipped between cup and lip!
Stalin stuffed Lenin in a box and later put an ice pick in Trotskys ear in Mexico and ruined the Bankers great victory.

Hence why the build up of the proxy Nazis was undertakenfrom the mid 20’s. The grandest armee ever. The ideology of hate. The puppet Dictator. Prescott Bush. Montague of the BoE, The Federal Reserve under FDR…
The Bankers and Industrialists planned that to utterly destroy all Russians – they killed 50 million in EurAsia with their fascist satraps.
And Still Lost.
They lost again at the turn of this century too, when they were convinced they had finally got to the end of their ‘Loser History’ – because vvp like Stalin upset all their plans.
So they went for the redline and proxy neo Hitlerite ukropians with the greatest plan ever – not attacking Russia but PROVOKING it into invading first!
They Lose Again!

So, someone asked Jared Kushner answered a question about the delays in the Gaza “reconstruction” and “peace” plan and he explained it by using the most grotesque metaphor I have ever seen from someon in public life.  No doubt people like Rubio, Netanyahu, and Huckabee would give some convoluted explanation like “oh, when he said ‘sharpening the ax’, he meant making final decisions on how to spend money and when he said ‘cut the tree’ he meant do the work on the ground.  All of this is for the benefit of the Palestinians, of course, and the metaphor is a bit clumsy but he meant no harm or disrespect.”  Trump would not explain Kushner’s remarks at all, since he barely knows what he himself is saying and doesn’t understand most of what anyone else says sat all.

Nobody with good intentions uses such violent phraseology to describe their actions, present and future.

US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who has no official role within the administration but serves as one of its top peace negotiators, led the unveiling on Wednesday of a $2.45bn starter plan for rebuilding Gaza, as members of the “Board of Peace” gathered on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

Kushner, a longtime family friend of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is an executive board member, while Trump is its chairman.

The plan, devised by several board officials, consists of 66 projects to rehabilitate the economic infrastructure of the devastated enclave, the Reuters news agency reported. Little detail was immediately available.

Kushner himself admitted on Wednesday that the board has faced “delays” since it was formed 11 months ago, Reuters noted.

“Different delays on different things, for whatever reason,” he said.

“We’re just refining, sharpening the axe, getting ready for when we get to the time to cut the tree… hopefully, that will be very, very soon.”

Since the Trump-brokered ceasefire came into effect on 10 October 2025, Israel has carried out near-weekly air strikes in Gaza, killing civilians each time, local media has shown. […]

Last month, the head of a coalition of aid groups warned that the Board of Peace is “failing” in Gaza and has “functioned to further entrench Israel’s unlawful presence” in the territory.

Athena Rayburn, executive director of the Association of International Development Agencies, told the UN Security Council that the organisation was enabling Israel’s obstruction of humanitarian aid.

She said Israel was rejecting scissors, crutches, wheelchairs, and prosthetic limbs as “dual-use” instruments, has barred specialised medical staff, and placed restrictions on engine oil so severe that it cost 45 times its normal price.

Israel also rejected watermelon and onions under an unpublished “humanitarian policy”.

“What is unclear is why the mandate handed by this council to the Board of Peace is being used to violate the most fundamental rights of the Palestinians in Gaza and the most basic rules of humanitarian law,” Rayburn said. “This cannot be the new status quo.”

The Board of Peace has also hardened the conditions for an Israeli withdrawal from the enclave after its senior officials met with Netanyahu some six weeks ago.

The board linked any Israeli withdrawal beyond the Yellow Line, which divides Gaza into areas under Israeli and Palestinian control, to the complete disarmament of Hamas, abandoning the phased approach it initially presented.

“Contrary to inaccurate reports, we note that the withdrawal of the IDF beyond the Yellow Line will take place only once decommissioning is complete, as Hamas committed to the mediators. This applies to light weapons, heavy weapons and the tunnels alike,” it said.

The Yellow Line was established following the October ceasefire agreement.

Israel has since seized additional Palestinian territory and now controls more than 60 percent of the enclave, with Netanyahu even saying that the aim is to increase to around 70 percent.

It’s the Natzo pirate ships that are vulnerable in the artic regions and any attempts at such piracy in the Baltic and North Sea or North Atlantic are easily defeated by planes, submarines and missiles.

Oh wait. A simpler explanation: China, and this world, do not operate within the categories your little brain is capable of handling.

The US ambassador to Greece openly threatened to organize a coup if its government didn’t do what Washington wanted.

US ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle is a top Trump ally who was previously engaged to Donald Trump Jr.

Guilfoyle had a fight with Greece’s energy minister, and she referenced the collapse of the Romanian government, saying:

“We can do that to any country we want. We can do that here”.

This quote is from a Wall Street Journal report: https://wsj.com/articles/kimberly-guilfoyle-mystery-man-energy-5adeb541

This is reminiscent of what was said by Elon Musk, the world’s richest oligarch, following a US-backed coup against Bolivia’s left-wing President Evo Morales in 2019:
“We will coup whoever we want! Deal with it”.

Re Fairford.

As price increasingly resembles prohibition, don’t be surprised to see the rise of bootleg diesel.

It’s colloquially referred to as the “courier blend”. A mix of gasoil, vegetable oil, syphoned and forecourt drive aways, petrol, paint thinners, 2 stroke oil just to make sure. In fact, anything that a diesel engine will run on without immediate catastrophic engine failure.

How else do you expect to receive your parcel the next day for the price?

Look at your next delivery driver, look at the suckers bare chested and cuffed in the woods at Whelford.
They even had the sign on to van “fuel2you” lol! That’s hiding in plain sight. But they were hiding 200 litre drums of bootleg diesel lol!

They should think themselves lucky they didn’t get the “De Menezes” treatment!

PS: If your gonna transfer some bootleg diesel, don’t do it outside a military airbase lol!

By the way, the Fed is way behind the curve, will need to hike perhaps even 100bps as they have to go very close to the 2 year yield.

The ECB will also have to hike which the stagnant EU economies can’t handle. This will produce a renewed Euro sovereign debt crisis.

Then you got all the real world issues like diesel and fertilizer shortages, and the Ukrainian money pit. Yikes.

Native Americans were wise Animists that saw a distinction between object and image.
They believed that a photograph stole a part of the soul of the people captured in the picture.
They were very suspicious of stealing souls in pictures.

………

Many of us learned about this Native American belief systems as young people.  Now, many years later, I wonder if one of the layers of truth behind this orientation is how it respects how humans generally become adept or not in honoring, respecting, and caring for relationships in the wider world.

When one views an image of another it is a fragment of a larger moment, frozen in time without context.  Static, stagnant, a snapshot, it reinforces a very limited concept of reality, an unconnected abstaction, which can function as a type of mental imprisonment blocking one from *seeing* reality as it is with its vastness, complexity and unfolding interdependent relationships.

Static images (or narratives) can encumber a mind such that it predisposes one to disembowel others of their fullness of being and becoming, their history and, most important perhaps, the commonality of presence and future together.  Relationality is reduced to judgment.

Just wandering along here, too scents.  I always read your comments. Thanks.

Prof. Hartmann Römer, who is aligned with the Freiburg parapsychology institute, speculates that quantum complementarity is actually a universal feature of experience. That’s a lofty thought with staggering consequences; it means that “observation” also reduces the potential for complementary free development of a situation. It is about the only theory known to me which tackles the decline effect observed in parapsychological experimentation. Here’s a primer from 2012, he has wrote more on it since.

Meta Could Face Billions In Penalties After New Mexico Facebook Verdict

A New Mexico jury has found Facebook liable for tens of millions of violations of the state’s consumer protection law, potentially exposing the social media platform to billions of dollars in fines.
A Santa Fe jury on Friday found Facebook committed over 43.8 million violations of New Mexico’s Unfair Practices Act through false or misleading statements to consumers, according to the state Department of Justice.
“The verdict marks a significant victory for New Mexico consumers and holds one of the world’s largest technology companies accountable for its conduct,” the department said.
…
New Mexico alleged that Facebook misled users about how their personal information could be shared with third parties and the extent of users’ control over their data.
The state also challenged statements Facebook made after the Cambridge Analytica disclosures. Facebook said it would investigate applications that had obtained large amounts of user information, audit suspicious developers, ban those that misused data, and notify affected users.
Overall, the jury found 26 of the 29 Facebook statements challenged by the state to be misleading. Those statements covered Facebook’s data practices as well as how it handled hate speech, misinformation, and exceptions to its platform rules.

AI Is Abundant and Low Value

Third, More Words
Unable to compete, the AI speculators have to pull a gun on the US government, saying, “bail us out or we’ll release SkyNet and kill us all.” But everyone knows that’s bullshit. We already have SkyNet, it’s the US government.
AI has already enslaved the world. That’s such old news it’s history. Corporations are legal persons, this is long-settled law, and they’ve long had the write to political ‘speech’, ie to buy elections. Most of the world has been literally enslaved by corporations already. Slavery under Corporate AI built the greatest fortunes in history, the VoC, the Mississippi Company, the South Sea Company. The question is not whether these corporations are intelligent, but whether we are.
Just as White men got really excited about human slaves back then, they’re excited about artificial slaves now, but their greed crashed their precious markets in 1720 and it’s going to crash them now. The difference is that they actually did monopolize the world for centuries, but they won’t be able to play that trick again because the world has moved on. Communists have seized the means of production, made AI into a public good, and now nobody is going to pay through the nose for AI when everybody knows it’s abundant and low-value.

IOW China won already, get over it.

Antisemitism Campaign Against the Berlin Left Party

https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2026/09/28/yldp-s28.html

“The result of the Berlin state election had barely been announced when a smear campaign erupted against the Left Party, the clear election winner. The accusations ranging from antisemitism to support for criminal class and terrorist gangs.

The opening shot came from Alice Weidel, leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD), who on election night railed against a ‘hard-left alliance calling for ‘shoot the rich,’ ‘capitalists out,’ ‘expropriate’ and ‘rent caps’.

She was followed by the Springer Press, led by the tabloid Bild, and other media, and by representatives of all the Bundestag (federal parliamentary) parties, including the Left Party itself.

On Wednesday, at the AfD’s request, a Bundestag debate took place in which the AfD, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and the Greens ganged up on the Left Party.

Gregor Gysis, who spoke for the Left Party, contritely conceded that ‘some members are clearly overdoing their criticism of Israel’, and promised to do better.

This nauseating spectacle was directed less against the Left Party and its lead candidate Elif Eralp, who is seeking to form a Senate (state executive) with the SPD and Greens, than against its voters. The Left Party has proven time and time again that it is a reliable pillar of capitalist interests…”

Turns out that in a secular society without rigidly enforced patriarchal doctrines, parents have to actually be pleasant people if they want their adult offspring to spend time with them. Boomers are the first generation to discover this, and they seem genuinely shocked by it.

Why Are So Many Adults Cutting Off Their Parents?
Family estrangement is on the rise, driven by shifting family norms and changing therapy practices. ‘We’re at a cultural tipping point.’……..

….“There is a culture clash happening right now between the meaning and dynamics of family,” says Rin Reczek, a sociologist at Ohio State University and author of “Families We Lose: A New Explanation for Family Estrangement.”

The parents of adult children grew up in a culture of “compulsory kinship,” she says. Families were supposed to be forever. Even when there were problems, adult children were expected to stay.

This idea is now increasingly challenged by a notion Reczek calls “democratized kinship”— the idea that maintaining family ties depends on their quality. Reczek’s research found that people rely on accountability and growth, intentional connection, mutual respect and emotional safety to remain in a relationship…….

Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev met with Putin and provided a very complete report on the corporation’s activities, which are substantial. There’s no official English translation, so you’ll need to use your own. I highly suggest reading it because it’s a wowser. And by complete, I mean long and detailed. Here are some selected excerpts:

Vladimir Vladimirovich, I would like to say that we have created entire industries within the framework of new areas. These are the industries of composite materials, additive technologies, radiopharmaceuticals, and rare‑earth metals. But I would like to focus on some of them separately….

A. Likhachev: Starting with digital materials science, creating entire platforms for the development of new materials. This reduces costs and time, and at the same time, it’s a large‑scale industrial production in the interests of Rostec, in the interests of the aviation and shipbuilding industries. But still, among these non‑nuclear, so to speak, areas, our main passion, if I may put it this way, is the Northern Sea Route. I’m sure we’ll set another record this year — we’ll transport more than 40 million tons, which is about 20 percent more than last year….

But even in the conclusion of the technological block – “The Data Economy”. Vladimir Vladimirovich, we started, as you well remember, with leadership in mathematical modeling and supercomputer technologies; we were the first to develop a digital strategy among large corporations. You set us the task of becoming participants in creating the independence of critical information infrastructure. Today, we produce more than a million units of products for critical information infrastructure per year. And we have created a whole range of industrial digital platforms for virtually all key sectors of Russian industry.

The goal is to transition to platform‑based solutions. And in addition to industrial platforms, we have five in our plans. These are “Health and Medicine”, “Environmental Well‑being”, “Mega‑science”, “New Energy Platform and Autonomy”, and “Logistics and Navigation”. I really hope that at the Forum of Future Technologies, we will present them to you at the beginning of next year.

IMO, the SMO is accelerating Russia’s development with Rosatom and Rostech on the cutting edge.

Putnm met with the leaders of political parties to explore the election results. Again, no English transcript. Here’s a composit excerpt:

Of course, the parties offered different approaches to solving certain problems. This is very good. But what is significant is that the program documents of all responsible patriotic forces were focused on truly unifying security challenges, demography, economy, social sphere.

According to the results of the elections, “United Russia” has strengthened its leadership, which means that the responsibility for the progress, for the dynamics of the legislative process, for the overall result will become even higher. I am sure United Russia, as before, will build a friendly, partnership interaction with other factions and, according to tradition, will ensure effective, fair representation of all political forces in the leadership of the Duma and parliamentary committees.

I think it will be useful to have a dialogue with those parties that participated in the campaign, but did not pass. Everything valuable from their initiatives and proposals must be taken into account. That’s right, with the participation of everyone creative political forces, structures and institutions of civil society, and a unifying agenda is being formed.

The main thing is both in the State Duma and at all other levels of government – to work together with an understanding of the common enormous responsibility in front of people and the country, in a professional dialogue to find the optimal, balanced decisions, devotedly serve the Fatherland and the people of Russia. [My Emphasis]

Attacking the election was so totally wrong and has steeled Russian resolve. IMO, Russia will show no mercy to Ukrainian, European, or American Nazis.

Re: post 117 Trubind1 on Iran thread–in which it is argued liberalism vs. neo- liberalism: there’s no difference between the 2, so the ism word is a phony:
The following argument is based   from US perspective where I am. Liberalism (or now neo-liberalism if further debate is granted) is an ideology of capitalism, so as capitalism changes in form so does it’s cultural logic, it’s ideology that is. Stealing without compunction from postmodernist Fredrick Jameson, one could say the neo form is the political/cultural logic of late capitalism. Within a specific time frame, yes you’re right (the 1970s Chile reference was really about the rise of overt US colonial violence that helped  globalization along),  globalization could really take off when Soviet Union broke up, although US workers began to lose their jobs earlier.

Globalization pulled the rug out from under the US industrialized working class. Labor Union movement disempowered, pro-union forces weakened, US workers had no guiding principal to latch on to. Dems turn to identity politics. Racism, homophobia, sexism accepted or sort of ignored earlier as status quo under classic liberalism (sorry don’t have other words here) except by the groups targeted, (here I’m thinking especially of the black liberation movement in which black Americans were able to seize some political power in 1960s and 1970s). Anyway that was part of liberalism.  Under neoliberalism, identity politics comes to the cultural forefront — Dem politicians try to maintain their support among the populace — they no longer focus on the white male working class, but rather focus on their specific demographic supporters–  black Americans — women, and gays (while at the same time disempowering the black liberation movement) as their primary base abandoning the traditional white male demographic. These changes don’t happen easily — all this while violence is increasing daily in the US as it’s increasing abroad.

Violence is  more familiar to neo- liberalism in the US, I argue than prior to the destruction to the pre-globalized social order within the US. I’m not saying all liberalism is not the ideology of capitalism, nor that violence, is not intrinsic to capitalism. Liberalism has historically been the precursor to fascism. Today, however, it seems to me, liberals are more apt. to believe in blatant power, to say what can you do, it is what it is, or might makes right. Or, mostly, as they acquiesce to the powers that be, they hate those who would disrupt the status quo. To conclude, neo-liberalism is the ideology of moral relativism in which people refuse to grapple with finding knowledge,  no longer bothering much with the  pretense of morality; it foreshadows fascism or talks us through its development into its full-fledged stage.
Theory now…

Yup, the weaker small  players tied to real estate will break first.  At 7 1/2% (and climbing) mortgage debt will be a Hurricane plowing through  leveraged real estate……imagine running the numbers for a refinance at 7 1/2% when you bought 5 years ago and paid 2%.

SECRETARY RUBIO: If Iran had a nuclear weapon, with which it could threaten its neighbors and the world, no one would be able to do anything about the Straits. They’d be able to control the Straits, charge a toll, and decide who got energy and who did not get energy.

I’ve extracted a comment I made on the Iran thread  along with karlof1’s response as the subject needed an answer to karlof1 from me that was more generally related.  Here is first that comment:

I had another thought about the interesting discussion Pepe was describing at the end of his talk with Danny Haiphong:  in Genesis, the darkness is not obliterated but separated from the light.  Perhaps there is hope that the western darkness (which I take to be a form of extreme ignorance in its violation of all of the laws of normal goodness) may be overcome much in the way that China would do to reform its criminals and nonconformers in the past (I don’t know if they still do it) by sending them to special training camps.  Since many already have seen the error of western hegemony I am more optimistic that this would be possible.  Execution not only kills the perpetrator of bad things; it also afflicts the executioner.

karlof1 replied:

Thanks for your reply. In my recent translation about “Empowering Power,” there’s a reference to the Three Ages Theory that was conceived during the Confucian Era and revised later. IMO, its premises closely match our current Era but unfortunately says nothing about the barbarians being armed with nuclear weapons and thus much harder to assimilate. IMO, the Outlaw Barbarians of our Era are beyond redemption and care little about the damage they cause to vow to cause. IMO, the world is closer to seeing the use of nukes now than in 1962. Russia and China will continue their diplomatic work and domestic development but harbor no illusions when it comes to the danger posed by the Outlaw Barbarians.

(To be continued)

My take is that it is exaggerated.  But not by much.

Reading the comments is also quite instructive.  Many of them are variations of “If you just live a good decent life like *I* do and teach your children good things like *I* did, then these things won’t happen to YOU.  These things only happen to OTHER people’s families, and they deserve the pain that they get.”

Both the behaviors described in the article, and the behaviors described in the comments section, are variations of “I am American, I am EXCEPTIONAL, I am better than everyone else, including other Americans.”  Unlearning American Exceptionalism will take a generation at least.

Of course, military losses to Russia, Iran, and Yemen might speed up the process!

Thanks, karlof1, for your response which I’ve had some further thoughts about.    I take your point about the leap to nuclear weapons, and that it wasn’t an issue historically for the Chinese, that as you say it is a new concept and ‘much harder to assimilate.’  That is very true since it involves even much more than does the current concept of genocide happening in Palestine. It involves a serious degredation of habitat as well as genocide, being of greater magnitude even than the atrocities mankind could historically inflict upon itself and its world.  It might be called planeticide, if perpetrated on a titfortat basis.

My thought had in mind Pepe’s reference to a Moscow discussion which had before it two concepts:  Pax Multipolaris and Dark Enlightenment.  The question was: how to organically connect the first concept as if in a mandala in order to fight the second?  My solution was to give the Genesis solution: rather than to fight,  to separate the light from the darkness.

We have to stop fighting,  it seems to me.  Even if we imagine that concept of a ‘cosmo-vision infused with darkness’ has a quasi-reality beyond what has ever been faced before.  We have to somehow get back into balance, where there is simply night and day as there always have been, two parts of a whole.

Well, I think the rain has finally stopped.  Sun’ll be up soon, behind the clouds.

No danger of humans getting out of control? That’s the real problem. The AI doom bots are the “return of the repressed,” over something people now celebrate and desire even more: nuclear annihilation?

The Pink Floyd movie version of Mother from the Wall contains the formula: incest/inbreeding creates or heightens the death drive. So death itself becomes the only way to “tear down the wall”. (Or drugs to alter consciousness. But where is that getting us? A war with Mexico?)

i was surprised to see this happen a lot in europe when visiting as well… no wonder europe is so out to lunch in terms of reading alternative viewpoints.. instead it gets categorized as russian propaganda and is refused entry into the minds of ordinary europeans..

i just read william schryvers substack article which i share here –

Panic Fever

opening line – “As 2026 ebbs away, all of Europe is running a panic fever in the face of the creeping realization that the Americans intend to leave them to their own devices against the Russians — and, worst of all, against each other.”

also the poster ‘ghost of muscovy’ shared a x link which shared a substack article that i thought was quite good some might want to check out…

Thank you, Woke American.  I totally agree with your perception of the Escobar piece.  I had to go back and see what Pepe was saying about that discussion.  I pricked up my ears at that term ‘mandala’ as it took me to the Peter, Paul (and Mary?) song that was so powerful when it came out.  (I think the version I heard later was just Peter and Paul so that was why the question mark.)

Thanks for your replies. Watch out for the remnants of Polo which are already streaming your way.

As for the discussion, Lavrov at the Valdai Club today provided some clues in his answers to two rather different questions, the second one being more of a conversation. Here’s the first:

Question: You said that life will force the United States to think in terms of multilateralism. But so far, we see that in Eurasia and the Middle East, the key players – the United States, Iran, Israel, the Gulf monarchies – are stuck in the logic of a zero-sum game. Do you see any prospects for creating a new security system in these regions? Is Russia ready to act as a guarantor of a balance of interests if everyone else continues to act on the all-or-nothing principle?

Sergey Lavrov: I said that life will force you. But life is just beginning. Be patient. President of Russia Vladimir Putin and I have repeatedly voiced all our proposals on how to build relations in the international arena. We are in favour of an honest and equal dialogue and consideration of interests.
What is happening now in US policy, of course, is the desire to promote its unilateral interests. But the United States is forced to contact countries such as the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China. During these contacts, steps that will meet the interests of both sides are discussed. This is exactly the very concept that I called “life will force you”.

Here’s the second:

Question: Sergey Viktorovich, may I?

Sergey Lavrov: Do you have a friendly question?

Question: With a normal journalistic question. There are mutual accusations of Russia and the West. The West is increasingly accusing Russia of waging a hybrid war against European countries. You recently accused the West of resorting to brute force. Do you admit that Russia is waging a covert hybrid war against European countries? And if so, for what purpose?

Sergey Lavrov: Do you mean when we destroy the drones and missiles that Britain and continental Europe supply to Ukraine, and then they shoot at us? Do you mean this?

Question: For example.

Sergey Lavrov: If you admit that your weapons are hitting us, and we are shooting down these weapons, call it what you will, but I have no doubt that this is a war that Europe is waging against us. We have been talking about this for a long time.

Question: And what about brute force? Do you accuse the West of brute force?

Sergey Lavrov: I don’t remember the phrase “brute force.”

Question: You recently said that the West is resorting to brute force.

Sergey Lavrov: Was it soft power, what was done in Venezuela, or brute power? What has been done with the Nord Stream gas pipelines – is it soft power or brute power? Is the bombing and destruction of the Iranian leadership along with their families, including children, brute force?

Question: But doesn’t Russia resort to brute force every day in Ukraine?

Sergey Lavrov: If you mean the destruction of the infrastructure that is used by the Nazi regime with the support of the West to wage war against the Russian Federation, then we are resorting to brute force to suppress this direct threat to us.

The situation against Russia is perhaps easier to see and understand because of its very long historical roots. Imperial control of West Asia isn’t as long nor is the conflict as clear since it began when the Propaganda Age was already rather mature. The decisions made by those running the Collective West–their life–has created the current conditions where the Western Empire is now in severe decline while remaining a nuclear threat to Humanity. As I’ve argued before, it’s not in the Outlaw’s interest to begin a nuclear war as they’ll lose everything. But when the current Outlaw Doctrine was enacted in 1992-3, it was easy for them to assume then that they were in control of the nuclear situation. But then the Clean Break ploy was added to the global control policy in 1996-7 which might be said to be the entry of the Epstein Syndicate into the realm of policy making and control of Outlaw actions.

What confuses so many is the vast amount of history that’s not understood from roughly 1989 onward (One might even go back further to WW2 and the Outlaw’s post-war plans.). There’s been a continual Imperial/Colonial drive to control the world via “Neo” methods that mask policy goal realities. Orwell wasn’t the first to unmask that with his writings as there were others in the interwar period who also described portions of the elephant. What’s so very troublesome is the descent into such profound Nihilism by the Outlaws that’s exhibited by their own words. In many cases, all this is very hard to explain to people who don’t understand or see the great depth of that descent. The Robinson kid Dr. Hudson spent two hours with trying to get him to understand even though Michael had previously talked with him on several earlier podcasts is just one example. Listening to KJ Noh and his recitation of Korean history describes yet another portion of the elephant. Crooke’s evaporation of values thesis and the deep level of concern he has for that should trouble us all, but even he has a limited audience.

My concern is who will continue the struggle when we pass?

meanwhile the Chinese 10 year rate has trended slightly down, its now at just under 1.7%
Posted by: Amalek (ne exile) | Sep 29 2026 0:27 utc | 161

China’s currency is getting steady and long term demand, as it has built the payment rails, and has now introduced the gold standard for yuan. That is, yuan can be converted into gold and vice versa. Gold acts as the intermediary for foreign currencies (mostly BRICS) converting into Chinese yuan, which can then be used to hold reserves or import Chinese products.

Since China is the greatest manufacturing power on earth whereas the West is not, its currency will always have demand. Demand for reserve assets includes Chinese bonds, which keep yields lower.

Furthermore, unlike the west which still needs to purge its real estate and other credit bubbles, China allowed this to happen naturally, and is now in a position of starting a healthy rise. Whereas the west is on the brink of collapse, as it never deflated bubbles but kept pumping them. 5% yields for the ‘backbone’ reserve currency are the needle that pops the bubble everywhere in the West.

I read the piece and while it contains lots of good information I struggle with some of the assumptions along the way and associated conclusions…..now I have to defend having written that…sigh

A data point

China is building a comprehensive seabed-to-space sensor network designed to monitor and eliminate the stealth advantage of foreign submarines called “Transparent Ocean” strategy….go look it up and be impressed.
I posit this capability exists now and like the earlier Western ability to neuter Russia submarine hiding, this will eliminate the hiding of Western submarines and given the advent of hypersonic missiles, they may be taken out quite quickly and maybe even before they could be used for nuclear launches at all.

I would add that we live on spaceship Earth and to conjecture about limited MAD that doesn’t touch the US or China is delusional, IMO…….hence the death by thousands of cuts we are seeing being attempted by the China/Russia/Iran axis to bring the bully down w/o a MAD ending.

I also am biased about the financial background that didn’t get a seat at the Hegemonic Logic table.  As I have written before, I see the hegemonic logic as including the drive to cause a worldwide depression that will potentially kill as many as the bomb option but still leave the God Of Mammon cult in charge of the remaining jackboot of global finance.

Its banned corporately.

It was the first youtube channel to reach 1 billion views, and also one of the first to be banned from Youtube.

Its also not available on cable.

So while “the government” did not ban it, the corporations that own the government did.  Much like many things that aren’t banned in america, but actually are.
