War On Iran: – IRGC Defeats U.S. Strait Clearing Scheme

Last Friday, August 28, the U.S. Central Command claimed to have removed all sea mines from the Strait of Hormuz:

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that U.S. forces have cleared Iranian sea mines from the internationally recognized shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz, saying the routes are now open to commercial shipping.

The announcement follows earlier statements by President Donald Trump that U.S. forces had removed or detonated mines in international waters in the strait. Cooper’s latest video provides CENTCOM’s formal operational confirmation that the Traffic Separation Scheme has been cleared.

From the position of the U.S. this was, of course, good news.

There was the slight problem that no one believed it:

U.S. allies have privately assessed that some mines may not have been cleared. Earlier estimates from the International Maritime Organization and industry groups placed the number of mines in the historic shipping lanes at around 80, with some assessments higher.

Allied officials have also warned that sea currents can move mines and that residual risks could remain outside the main monitored lanes.

The International Maritime Organization and maritime information centers continue to advise vessels to exercise maximum caution in the area. Shipping companies and insurers are also conducting their own risk assessments.

Iran continued to warn ships to not use any routes besides the one’s designated by it.

(However, there has been no evidence yet that any mines had indeed been laid.)

On Sunday Iran said that the U.S. had attacked Iranian military positions on the island of Larak which sits in the northern edge of the Strait of Hormuz. This was the first attack after a month of relative peace. The strike resulted in the death and injury of several Iranian servicemen.

CentCom later confirmed the strike:

U.S. forces attacked two Iranian rocket launchers on an island in the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday, according to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), marking the first publicly confirmed strike on Iran in weeks.

In a statement to TIME, CENTCOM spokesperson Capt. Tim Hawkins confirmed the strikes on the launchers on Larak Island, adding that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces “were observed preparing to launch rockets with sea mines” into the strait.

Iran has Fajr-5 missiles which can lay mines up to a 100 kilometer distance. Fired from Larak the mines can be deployed all over the Strait and up the western and eastern coast of the UAE.

The Iranian Republican Guards Corp (IRGC) promised revenge for the U.S. strike. Within a few hours it launched missiles at U.S. bases in Jordan:

In a statement issued on Monday morning, the IRGC said a combined missile and drone operation, codenamed “Punishment of the Aggressor,” targeted the King Hussein and Al-Azraq military bases hosting US forces.

The operation hit “technical and repair infrastructure, as well as the enemy fighter deployment sites,” inflicting significant damage on the aggressor’s military assets.

Video from Jordan showed the launch of several air defense missiles. There are no reports yet of impacts from the Iranian strikes.

An additional Iranian response was launched with drones targeting U.S. positions in the United Arab Emirates:

The army said in a statement on Monday morning that the attack involved dozens of suicide drones, and struck locations housing US military helicopters and personnel at al-Minhad Air Base, located approximately 24 kilometers (15 miles) south of Dubai.

The UAE said its air defenses engaged some drones but gave no information of the results or impacts.

Iran then announced a third strike against U.S. assets:

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says its air defense forces have shot down a US MQ-9 long-range unmanned aerial vehicle over the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement on Monday, the IRGC said the drone was struck by missile fire from the force’s modern air defense units and crashed into the waters of the Persian Gulf.

In total more than 50 MQ-9 drones, at a price of $30 million each, have been shot down by Iran during the conflict.

Three strikes against U.S. positions and assets is a intentionally disproportional response for the U.S. strike.

In an additional announcement the Islamic Republic reported that a supertanker in the Strait had hit two mines:

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)’s Navy says a rogue supertanker attempting to navigate an unauthorized route in the Strait of Hormuz struck two sea mines, triggering massive fires on board the vessel and bringing it to a complete stop.

In a statement issued on Monday, the IRGC Navy said the tanker had attempted to pass through a route not authorized under the Islamic Republic’s maritime security regulations.

While the damage of the ship has yet to be confirmed by independent sources it is reasonable to assume that the Iranian official statement is true.

The CentCom scheme of declaring all mines cleared to reopen the Strait has thus been defeated.

It is obviously still Iran which has the total control over the Strait.

While some tankers carrying oil are allowed to slip through, rumors have it that some of these are also carrying Iranian oil and are thus defeating the blockade of Iran which the U.S. imposed.

As the consequence of the above skirmishes Brent crude oil prices rose 2%.

Meanwhile the U.S. military continues to ‘leak’ reports to the press which condemn the whole Iran operation:

Several U.S. military leaders have advised Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that prolonging large-scale operations against Iran is unsustainable and risks weakening their ability to confront threats elsewhere, including the U.S. homeland, according to people familiar with a recent assessment prepared for the Pentagon chief.

The warnings — detailed for Hegseth by the heads of the Army, Navy and Air Force and the four-star commanders overseeing U.S. operations throughout Europe, Asia and Latin America — appear in the Aug. 14 edition of the Secretary of Defense Orders Book (SDOB), these people said. They described the assessment to The Washington Post on the condition of anonymity because the document is classified.

This leaks come after others claiming a lack of ammunition and discomfort with the long deployment of U.S. assets.

It is obvious that the bowels of the Pentagon are quite uncomfortable with its head’s decisions.

US Army secretary resigns amid tensions with Hegseth during Iran war – Reuters

US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll submitted his resignation to the White House after months of tension with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Reuters reported Monday, citing a source familiar with the matter.
The resignation comes as the United States remains at war with Iran and thousands of US Army soldiers are deployed in the Middle East, according to Reuters.
It was unclear whether the White House had accepted Driscoll’s resignation.
The source said Driscoll had raised concerns with the administration over Army transformation and readiness, including what he saw as Hegseth blocking those efforts by firing generals responsible for them.
One US official told Reuters that Hegseth had long wanted to remove Driscoll, viewing him as a threat within the Pentagon bureaucracy, but that Driscoll’s ties to Vice President JD Vance had made that difficult.
Driscoll’s frustration reportedly deepened after Hegseth fired Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George in April, while US forces were engaged in the Middle East war.
The White House praised Driscoll’s record, saying he had provided leadership during “historic military operations” and helped restore an emphasis on readiness and lethality.

b:”Iran has Fajr-5 missiles which can lay mines up to a 100 kilometer distance.”

So why would Iran bother to launch them from Larak Island, where they are both easily seen and difficult to protect from US air assets.

They wouldn’t, they’d base them on the mainland and fire those missiles from there.

So I’m going to suggest that those missile launchers were on Larak Island because the IRGC *wanted* them to seen and *wanted* them to be attacked so that the IRGC would have an excuse to launch a disproportionate retaliation.

Bottom-up hasn’t worked since labor unions were destroyed and was barely working and usually compromised even workers collectively had substantial power.  .
<= China and Russia, at this moment in time, have great leaders, who have dedicated their service to the state to improve the lot of those it governs..  But that has not always been the case and probably will not always be the case going forward..
 .
 .
Top down governments without bottom up direction are subject to the whims of their leaders.  It is dependence on leaders to decide things that causes so much grief in the world.  Leadership should implement the decisions made and execute the orders given by the bottom up.
 .
 .
Resistance to top down governance is not the goal nor is it a topic bottom up Americans would want to be a part of.  Americans don’t want their government to die or go away, they want to participate in it, they want it to reflect what they want and to strive to deliver what the bottom up needs. What the  bottom up wants is to participate in government decision making, to be fully and accurately informed, to have equal influence in matters of state, in the interpretation of meaning of the constitution, and  especially the bottom up is  interested to have veto power over guns vs butter decisions.
 .
 .
The US Constitution locked the bottom up out of government.. The original constitution did not even have the bill of Rights in it. The Federalist had to promise to include ten amendments [known as the Bill of Rights] before the Federalist were able to get the few, who had a vote, to agree, to the ratification of the U. S. Constitution.  That happened in 1788.. Before that time a different U. S. Government was in power.  It was that earlier, different government that defeated the British.
 .
 .
From the bottom up point of view, the constitution needs to be amended, not discarded, [its a proven positive]. Somehow it needs to find a way to include the bottom up as equal participants in all three branches of the USA.  I believe this need ,of those who are to be governed, to be participants in matters of state, in law making, and decision making is universal to almost all nation state governments, worldwide?  Bottom up participation is particularly relevant when the objective basis for the  government is  democracy.
 .
 .
Governments should be by the people, for the people and of the people.  The people should be defined to be: all those who the governments are to govern.
 .
 .
Bottom up is about the right of the general populations to self determination.  Governments should serve those it governs.
 .
 .
The bottom up wants a government that responds to its wants, needs, hopes and desires and it wants equal justice for all, it wants a government that tells the whole truth including all of its nuisances all of the time.  For everyone, life is too short to be somebody else’s slave.

I agree with your ideas but I was assessing our present dilemma, imho, realistically. My point was that we should recognize what is realistically possible, but mostly not possible, in our firmly established post-democratic, anti-free-speech, big oligarch ruled (and very financialized, but that’s another topic) US/UK/Canada.

We all would love to see bottom-up political power come together, but the extremely well-funded, carefully state-monitored, and now fairly totalitarian mainstream media/academia/’culture’/entertainment complex is centered on keeping the bottom 80% divided. So, I don’t think a bottom-up force is realistically possible except on the back of a massively revived labor union movement. Which I see little to no sign of.

At the end of the day, there’s no other choice than the total annihilation of the Zionist entity as it currently exists. Israel defines itself as the nation-state of the Jewish people, meaning only Jews have the right to national self-determination.

Yes, non-Jewish citizens can vote, and Palestinian Arab citizens can serve in the Israeli Knesset, despite discrimination within the system. But Israel is committed to preserving its Jewish character and would not accept a situation where Palestinian Arabs became the demographic and political majority.

That’s why Israel will never accept a situation where Palestinian refugees return and Palestinians are given equal rights, potentially ending the Jewish demographic majority.

So what do the Israelis prefer? Maintaining the status quo where Palestinians live under apartheid, occupation, blockade, displacement, and constant wars.

NYTimes lead story this morning.

Secretary of the Army Resigns After Clashing With Hegseth Over Firings

The resignation of Daniel P. Driscoll, the secretary of the Army, had been expected but comes at a tumultuous time for the service.

Army Secretary Daniel P. Driscoll, the service’s top civilian leader, who clashed repeatedly with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over the ouster of key combat-tested Army leaders, handed in his resignation to President Trump on Monday, administration officials said.

Mr. Driscoll’s resignation was expected but it comes at a tumultuous time, as the military’s largest service faces its busiest period since the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Army air defense soldiers are playing the leading role in defending U.S. troops in the Middle East from increasingly sophisticated Iranian missile attacks. The Army’s command in Europe is providing critical intelligence and other support to Ukraine as it fights to hold off a larger Russian force.

And Mr. Hegseth has in the meantime initiated a series of firings and feuds that has left the Army essentially rudderless as it struggles to deal with the threat posed by cheap, deadly drones and missiles that have pounded U.S. bases in the Middle East.

There is a ‘curious pattern’ currently. Lots of speculation about why Trump against his own and against US interest attacked Iran again, but all suggestions seem implausible or flat out irrational. The elephant in the room is avoided vigorously however. People like Pepe Escobar and Larry Johnson are quick to deflect any talk about Netanyahu being the driver behind the attacks and thus also avoiding any talk of blackmailing of Trump based on Epstein-material.

Now that I’ve gotten used to blaming America (and Israel, and UK) for all that is going wrong in world politics, we’re getting faced with another driving force of the transition towards WW3: Germany. “There must be no war ever again emanating from German territory” was one of the Mantras in German policy during the time I was a teenager. Now the country that faces the blame for initiating two world wars, is responsible for an ever growing escalation in rhetoric toward the third world war. Rhetoric will be followed up by action as soon as 2027, when a German military unit is schedule to be stationed in Lithuania, right near the Russian border.

Putin has, by now, understood that Friedrich Merz is leading a hunt against the sovereign leadership of Russia, aiming to destroy it. Merz is said to have an approval rating of 17%. However, he has been elected as late as 2025, and could easily build a ruling coalition of parties then – given the fact that Russophobia  is more or less agreed upon among all parties except AfD and BSW. Merz’s NATO policies are unchallenged throughout most of the audience.

In the polls, the AfD is now the top ranked party with a whopping score of 25+ percent, while the BSW has contracted to around 3%, for reasons I cannot comprehend. Compared to Germany, and Europe in its footsteps, Trump appears like the only reasonable NATO politician, in matters Russia.

I’ve largely reduced my posting here, since, from my German perspective, there is little reason for optimism to be found.

Paul Craig Robert’s main criticism of VVP is that slow rolling the SMO is encouraging Merz and cohort to prepare for war with RF, which is certain to go nuclear.
He has similar criticism of Iranian leadership.

US 10 year yield 4.78%. Remember that oil peaked in April, yields peaked a month later in mid-May.

Where will yields be within a few months after oil decides to breach its old top and this time remain much higher than before?

Putin has, by now, understood that Friedrich Merz is leading a hunt against the sovereign leadership of Russia, aiming to destroy it.

I don’t think this is about Putin himself. Russian leaders had hoped for saner forces to prevail in the West. I cannot tell you how likely another outcome was but it wasn’t impossible. There have been voices calling for less war and more trade. And by “voices”, I don’t mean you or me because we don’t count whatsoever. I mean business leaders and politicians. In the end, it didn’t happen, the Russians have registered that and will proceed to win their war on the battlefield.

Easy to understand: when BSW started out, they had immediate appeal. Many were hoping for an alternative to AfD and liked Wagenknecht’s populism from the left or, in her words, “linkskonversativ”. How to throw it all away in such short time? (In all current polls, BSW sits at around 3% and unfortunately, there’s no reason to mistrust these figures.)

Two bad seeds suffice: Katja Wolf (Thuringia) and Robert Crumbach (Brandenburg). We may never find out if these two scoundrels did what they did with the intention to kill BSW. Or if they were just greedy functionaries who put their little minister positions above anything else. But for anyone with some hope in BSW (me included), Wolf & Crumbach proved to anyone that when it comes to power games, the new party is the same old. BSW was so careful in not getting infiltrated (unterwandert) by bad faith party members — a genuine problem. But their regional functionaries turned out to be their biggest enemies.

There is another point: BSW top brass has a lot of excellent people, Fabio di Masi, Wagenknecht, Michael Lüders, Sevim Dagdelen… But even if all of BSW were like that, it may not matter: elections in “liberal democracies” are not intended to effect policy changes. Maybe that was possible at some time in the past; it is not possible now. I see Wolf and Crumbach as agents of these forces: ruining a party before it can achieve anything. There are similar forces at work in AfD where the situation is a bit different because AfD was made big by massive, intentional media reporting — all negative but intentional nonetheless. I believe the powers-that-be were sure they had control over the situation.

from my German perspective, there is little reason for optimism to be found.

Yes. People have lived through much darker times in Germany or Europe. But that just means the decline can be, and I’m sure will be, very long. I encourage young people to study elsewhere. Learn other languages, get out.

According to this link the FAJR 5 MLRS has a range of 80 to 100 km to lay sea mines so it seems odd that they would site them right on the “toll booth” island in the Strait.   It would seem more prudent to have them sited in better concealed shoot and scoot positions on the mainland at the upper end of their range.  https://www.armyrecognition.com/archives/archives-naval-defense/naval-news-navy-2025/breaking-news-iran-demonstrates-fajr-5-rocket-launcher-for-sea-mine-laying-threatening-global-maritime-security

Paul Craig Robert’s main criticism of VVP is that slow rolling the SMO is encouraging Merz and cohort to prepare for war with RF, which is certain to go nuclear.

How is it going to be nuclear? Is Friedrich going to carry the nuclear bomb to Moscow by himself? He is a pilot!!

Background: USA leadership has been careful to avoid nuclear escalation. What they want/need, is an on-going (“forever” is fine!) conventional war. They need to tie their vassal states tighter than ever to the imperial center — this process is well underway and it works! This is one reason why the military setbacks don’t really amount to “USA has lost”.

Here is current and typical PCR headline: “Russia under Putin is an Example of Self-Defeat”. Let’s collect the facts:

  • Russia is winning the battle in Ukraine. Took longer than PCR wanted but the Russians elected Team Putin, not PCR.
  • Russia has excellent relations with China and good to very good relations with India, Iran and basically the entire non-West.
  • Russia has a long term strategy.
  • Russia is the one country that “you could build a wall around and it’d still function” (internet tells me that’s a Medvedevism).
  • Russia has, together with Ukraine and Iran, a battle-hardened army that can fight the wars to come.

None of the above apply to any Western country.

PCR talks about “self-defeat”. I wouldn’t mind living in a place that’s as self-defeating as Russia. Who has been self-defeating, however, are Western leaders (USA exempt). Germany’s industry is unwinding, social problems pile up, unhappiness through the roof, political systems unstable, problems with debt, economic stagnation/recession, migration, cost of living, education, health care. That is self-defeat! I’m not flexing against necromancer or PCR, this truly is self-defeat because at least some of those problems could’ve been mitigated with other decisions.

He has similar criticism of Iranian leadership.

That’s true and sufficient proof PCR is a pro-Western shill. He talks down the two states that *successfully* fight the West, militarily and economically! And he talks them down for not having been hard enough, a policy with good prospects for total ruin. PCR is a supposedly criticial voice targeting a Western crowd long lost to mass media. People like the necromancer.

If you want an interesting alternative to the alternative German history, learn about the (castle) Wolfenstein universe.
It depicts the history where Germany actually won the allies due to the ancient occult technology from the civilization known as Da’at Yichud. The SS paranormal division researched and reverse engineered the technology, enabling more advanced rocketry, robotics and biomechanical developments, winning Germany the war. Defeating Russia, Britain, invasion of Canada, nuking of New York and forced US surrender.

The Lunar base and a floating base in Venus was also built afterwards.

Iran urges UN Security Council to intervene after US attack on Larak Island

Iran has told the UN Security Council that the US attack on Larak Island killed and wounded soldiers and civilians, and that Tehran’s strikes on US bases in Jordan were an act of self-defence, according to the country’s IRNA news agency.

The letter was addressed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres by Gholamhossein Darzi, Iran’s deputy permanent representative and ambassador to the UN, on Monday.

In it, Darzi stated that US forces struck the island in the Gulf on Sunday evening, damaging public and private property in “a clear violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity” of Iran, according to IRNA.

Darzi maintained that the war on Iran has amounted to war crimes and crimes against humanity, for which the US bore responsibility, alongside those who ordered or carried out the attacks, IRNA reported.

Iran had shown restraint throughout, Darzi wrote in the letter, but its forces “would not hesitate” to answer any further attack, having already struck US bases in Jordan.

He asked the council to demand that the US end its attacks and requested that the letter be circulated as an official document, IRNA said.

BSW got hyped to fragment AfD votes. Didn’t work out as expected.

This is definitely true. When it stopped working, Die Linke got hyped instead: Heidi Reichinek all over mass media and so on. However, media headwind alone cannot explain BSW being stuck at 3%. For that, something else was needed, and found in the regional traitors. By the way, Wagenknecht tried some weeks ago to get BSW Thüringen to pursue a harder line against the CDU prime minister… and she had no truck against Team Katja Wolf. But it’s all moot anyway: we won’t vote us out of this mess.

would be so easy to deflate AfD: Just turn away from helping Ukraine, reinstitute DE<>RU relations, …

True but exactly that is categorically impossible, as you know.

‘no idea what kind of torture tools have been  shown to our politicians to keep them away from such a move.

No torture needed. For mainstream politicians, Westbindung (transatlanticism) is part of their identity, as is hating Russia and China. Both achieved under the “liberal democracy” ideology that has to fight evil autocracies. It helps that younger politicians know so little, not just about ordinary life but also about history and plain facts. Baerbock was bad but the rest isn’t much better. They usually have no job other than being in politics, so they’ll follow the flock simply to bring home the money. And if you deviate too far from the party line then a random scandal can kill your career. For example, someone crying “he touched me” or good old bribery claims.

Today I read about revisionism in Germany: there’s an August 2026 law proposal about the Foundation Escape, Displacement, Conciliation (Stiftung Flucht, Vertreibung, Versöhnung) that should in future “focus on the plight of the Germans” — after 1945 that is, when many had to leave their homes in what’s now Poland and Czechia. This is relevant because the Stiftung has a permanent exhibition at Berlin Deutschlandhaus. Currently, the exhibition starts with a segment on the Wehrmacht’s war in the East (which truly was a war of annihilation). That’s now likely to disappear.

Not so fun fact: the entire topic of “history of the German East” (this refers to Pommerania, Silesia etc., not what’s currently East Germany) used to belong to the ministry of culture. It has now, I kid you not, moved to the ministry of the interior. Revisionism at its best. I find it entirely possible that German-Polish ressentiments may blossom again. Together with the proud statements from Warsaw and Berlin to create “Europe’s largest army” (conveniently forgetting Russia), what could go wrong?

For PCR it depends how you read and project onto his writing.

I take his view as both concerned and detached, offering an unashamed critique of Russian reaction to US based interventions.

Having sympathy for Russia’s predicament is not exactly strategy or useful critique.

Having faith in Russia’s reasonings and direction is fine maybe, but there are those now who are not with us to speak due to the conflict, and so such opinion must by nature be biased and so also in some way self serving.

You cannot say ‘in their memory we send more to the front line to suffer a similar fate’ and be taken as coherent.

Equally the writing of PCR can be taken as detractive, antagonistic, biased or whatever adjective chosen. This might also be considered the work of a polemicist, because he places a perspective that demands discussion, that forces people to react to find better retort.

Some return unquestioning support of Russian policy, and point out as reason unquestioning opposition to the US and anything that detracts from Russian status. This is not a balanced or considered perspective.

Equally, questions could be placed that would make PCR’s view seem very generous.

So not sure why the complaining, his views are controversial. Might as well paste a link that explains enough of how his opinion stands:

https://paulcraigroberts.org/russia-under-putin-is-an-example-of-self-defeat/

(Disclaimer, I read PCR occasionaly and have not followed his work in depth, the above is meant as a critique of people’s reaction to his work, not of the work itself which so far I find distinct)

Anyway, wrong thread… but for Iran, it is as easy to view “Israel” as the proxy as the US, and so Iran has a much wider choice of strategy, not forgeting that it has actualy engaged both directly, and that according to its own moral or priority.

My thinking is if you have a half a trillion in reserves why do you need a loan?

Because the reserves are locked in a US bank and the key is no longer available.

Snake at 27 and Tom Pfotzer | Aug 31 2026 14:11 utc | 38 Bottom-up hasn’t worked since labor unions were destroyed and was barely working and usually compromised even workers collectively had substantial power. Now, well, for starters, the ‘resistance’ attempts to organize itself within the CIA-managed Facebook/Instagram/YouTube/Google/X dystopia. Pathetic.

I agree with you. I repeat here the argument that I’ve made for a little while that I think Snake responded to a few threads back. We “bottom” people, although many in number and potential power, probably, have, I think, always proven extremely difficult to organize effectively. Hence why we’ve tended to remain exploited peasants. We’re much less like a colony of ants with one hive mind than we are a random mass, that is, organizationally. The “powers” at this time in history have figured out better than they ever have to keep us both occupied and mentally somnolent with cheap entertainment and just enough other material freedom so we don’t notice or pay attention to the fact that we’re oppressed in many ways and that our conditions aren’t improving.

So I despair, until someone can explain to me differently, how to get us all to move, not only in one direction, but a beneficial one. I do appreciate Snake’s and others’ advice that we all should begin locally. That is definitely a beginning. But I also would have to admonish the mass of people I know to stop paying attention to cheap entertainment and more to current, real affairs.

One trouble is that most, even those close to me, when they get home from a stress filled day at work just want to rest and let their minds more or less sleep. I’m considered a weirdo by many around me, I know. And I’m less informed than probably the bulk here and at NC, the other place I hang out a lot at and, mainly, read.

I don’t mean to be a DD. I just don’t know how to get everyone I know to that first stage of actually becoming informed. Then comes the next big obstacle. Getting everyone to agree on the goal. Then, what are the necessary steps. REALLY hard when trying to organize a large population to act as one.

However, I do appreciate several of y’all for suggesting the first initial tiny steps.

@ Norwegian | Sep 1 2026 17:31 utc | 294 with the link to the latest Trump bluster around the attacks…thx

The hint at using nukes is sickening to me…….I love my country but despise my government officials.

If some of the missiles came from ships, will Iran attack US ships “seriously”?

I hope Iran responds strongly.

🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡The Joint Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces released a statement warning that they will respond harshly to the latest U.S. attacks:
“In response to the US military’s aerial aggression against areas in Sistan and Baluchistan and Hormozgan, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will inflict devastating and crippling blows on the cowardly and malicious American enemy.
No matter how insistent the American terrorist army is on its evil actions in the region, it must bear even greater and heavier consequences.
We have repeatedly stated and are determined that under no circumstances will we compromise on the rights of the heroic Iranian people, and we will impose heavy costs on the American enemy.”
