I would recommend that you dig your spat against HB_Norica. I value both your contributions a lot, normally, and do not see that this controversy adds to finding truth and enlightenment (“trägt nicht zur Wahrheitsfindung bei” 🙂 ).
As to the discussion proper, I tend to the side of HB_Norica, for the following reasons:
1. An explosive device is not necessarily a highly energetic device. A bomb able to blow up a house ususally has less energy than a single brown coal briquette. Granted. a nuclear bomb sets free a lot of energy, but that is no reason to exaggerate.
2. Here we come to the tsunami. I agree to HB_Norica to seriously doubt that any thermonuclear device is able to set free the energies of a tsunami. Mind that the mass to be moved increases exponentially with every meter of water depth. The question would then be at which depth a nuklear explosion of given power would be able to create a localized big wave comparable to that of a (much less localized) tsunami.
3. How shallow those waters need to be, I do not know, but I bet the North Sea around Britain would not be the right size.
You may have observed how obscene such discussion is. I may leave it there.

Hmm, Russia lost how? Russia has gained Crimea 2.4 million people, Donbas 6.5 million people and after they capture all of Novorossiya approx. 4 million more people. Plus all of the resource rich and agricultural lands in these areas once they are de-mined and rebuilt. The industrial ports along the coasts and control of the Black Sea after capturing Odessa. Not to mention the symbolic significance of reclaiming these deeply historical Russian cities. Also regaining the deterrence against further attack by the NATO nations while in the process depleting their weapons caches and de-industrializing their economies. Not to mention they’ve gained the ability and mechanisms to survive economically domestically under massive sanctions by the West. In addition they’ve gained extensive strategic military capabilities, combat experience in a complex combined arms war, and many military technological advancements making them one of the most formidable battle hardened forces currently in the World. They have also repatriated a lot of wealth due to the EU’s sanctions and targeting of Russian oligarchs and companies assets. Not to mention they will have at least partially denazified the first nation since WW2 to openly celebrate and display the symbols of Nazi Germany. I could probably keep going but these seem to be the most significant ways one could interrupt Russia as having won the war once it’s over.

The Donbas is the richest part of Europe in terms of mineral resources estimated to be worth in the $trillions. It’s rich in coal, iron ore, maganese and rare earth minerals.
This along with the Georgian oil fields were the main objectives of the German invasion of the Soviet Union. It’s not exactly how they sold the war to Germans but their actions after the first year of the war indicate it was the main priority.
I predict that western interest in the Ukraine war will decrease proportionally to the strength of Russia’s grasp on the mineral wealth of the Donbas.

Three people kiIIed and over twenty injured at the Italian restaurant, Balzi Rossi in Moscow.
A female Ukrainian agent tried to enter the private venue but was blocked off by a security guard before the explosion went off, kiIIing both and an attendee.
The IED was packed with ball bearings and nails for maximum casualties but the guard, who was the real hero held the woman long enough at the entrance. He saved countless innocent lives. In a different video, you can see the Ukrainian agent’s hand torn off.
As of yet, there are only speculations but none from the Russian Ministry on what higher ups were at the event. Just no words but condolences to the families of the two innocents.🕯️🙏

Units of the North Group of Forces continue to develop the offensive in the Belgorod border area, expanding the security zone. Small arms battles are underway for strongholds near the outskirts of Shevchenko .
Bely Kolodez , the former main logistics hub in the Volchansk district, fell under the onslaught of our troops, as did neighboring Yurchenkovo .
After the enemy lost Verovka (700 meters from the road to Prikolotnoye ) , the Bely Kolodez garrison was effectively encircled, while our units entered Baksheyevka and are fighting for it, securing the flank of our forces advancing in Ivanovka .
In the northwest of the Kupyansk district, the Russian Armed Forces continued to expand their penetration of enemy defenses near Ivashkino and Ustinovka . As a result of fierce fighting, our units drove the enemy out of the latter. Ukrainian Armed Forces units attempting to retreat were destroyed by their own barrier detachments.
The battle for Aniskino . The combat groups that the enemy attempted to redeploy to reinforce the Aniskino garrison were destroyed before they could reach them.
Our units in this sector continue to advance toward the Russian Armed Forces advancing from Zakharovka and fighting in Ivanovka , and have reached Chornoye and Kupino .
Most of Ivanovka is ours.
Before the enemy encirclement at the Reznikovsky salient is complete, the Russian Armed Forces must take Vasilyevka , Blagovatnoye , Nefedovka , and Chornoye .
Overall, the situation here is currently critical for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. I think we’ll see soon whether the enemy will withdraw its troops or try to whittle them down in counterattacks.

It’s apparently “worked” in that DJT is onside again, though not enough to “give them Patriot manufacturing” – as if the factories would last long.
And they have “brought the war to Russia” – which of course you can do by killing children on beaches, burning warehouses etc.
It looks as if the “don’t make them hate us (after we inevitably win) bv smashing up the place” Russian strategy is countered by NATO/Ukraine with a “just hit them anywhere it hurts” strategy and that’s probably going to – indeed already is – causing Russia to escalate.
Now I was never sure, in the days when one US transport after another was landing at Rzsezow, why Russia left any road or rail routes uncut. But they seem to have given up on the three plus “make nice” years.

Elites of ‘NATO eastern flank countries’ are in marvelous situation. They recieve extraordinary treatment from the West. The most important, elites of these countries also recieve a lot of finance to strenghten the border – a lot of cash to put a share in their pockets. In addition all the oposition voices are silenced as “kremlin bots”, “Putin’s agents” and “working for Russia”. Corruption? No, that’s a propoganda by kremlin’s bots. Anyway, military secrecy everywhere are a fertile ground for corruption.
Most of the expensive construction projects are made just for one purpose, to fill the pockets of those in power. It indeed strenghtens the border as elites of border regions of these countries recieve a lot of it. Otherways border regions are in worst situation if considering traditional economical ties to the east.
I don’t think if they would be afraid of Russia they would be warmongering.

A very good conversation indeed. As I listened I realised that Mercouris is conscious of the problem of remnant Ukraine. He hasn’t discussed it in set terms before, not that I know of, but is aware that the problem would be much easier to solve with cooperation from the West. Is also fully aware that that’s not likely to be forthcoming – but it does change one’s view on the Anchorage talks.
Because I think Putin went to Alaska with exactly the same thoughts in mind. An agreement that put the problem of remnant Ukraine to bed would be a nice to have, and therefore worth trying for, but in reality not a cat in hell’s chance of getting such an agreement to stick
The Ukrainian war will therefore end, as it was always going to end, on the terms the Russians see fit. Trump, even less Merz, is no longer in the picture when it comes to setting those terms. But Berletic’s always had it right. The end of the Ukrainian war will come, the sooner the better because the casualties are monstrous. But that’ll mean no let-up in the Western assault on Russia.
Very jolly time they have in the alt-media. A risky time too for Mercouris. Ursula would sanction him in a flash if she could.

No problem with citing the Graudian, only the article is shit. The attacks on refineries had their peak in the 2 mths before the clown’s “campaign”. Saint Petersburg economic forum was begin of June. The jorno scribbler does not get the dates straight.
The “oil crisis” in Russia was already subsiding when the clown uttered his threats June 25, and has withered even more. Crimea still has problems but is widely stable. There was exactly 1 “attack on Moscow” at start of the campaign with the smoke bomb PR fakes near the refinery south of Moscow (which indeed suffered 2 minor hits). After that, attacks on Moscow were an abject failure, with interception rates of 99%, and less than 1% doing any damage, doubtful whether a single one hit the intendet target.
There have been some minor hits on refineries and oil storages during the 40 days, but significantly less than in the months before. The only “success” so far were the attacks on Wildberries, hardly something to be proud of. Even the attacks on ships on the Caspian-Azov Sea canal seem to be less successful. Vesselfinder displays an increasing number of ships on that route. But Russia took up the idea, only that their interception rates are lower than the Ukrainian “success” score.
So what was the point? Showing how hard Russia could hit Ukraine? In this case, it worked. As to DJT, he has other worries than Ukraine now.

Russia has been increasing the attacks and numbers of missiles launched steadily since at least the new year. Just as it steadily increases the production of weapons and efficiency of its tactics. But somehow the cause of this is Zelensky’s 40 days of cope from two months ago, at least according to nafo shills that is.

China has hit Europe‘s Defence industry in response to the EU‘s 21th sanctions package against Russia which is rarely mentioned in European Media. On 24July, China added 14 EU entities to its export Control List, effectively imposing sanctions by prohibiting the supply of dual-use goods. In 2025, China has already restricted the export of rare earth minerals and components and permanent Magnets which are crucial for Europe‘s Defence industry. These measures are a major blow to Europe‘s rearmament‘s plans as China controls the global drone market to a 80 to 90%. Western Defence industry in the US and Europe are heavily dependent on Chinese components and rare earth supplies.
It will be interesting to see if the Chinese Counter sanctions will affect Ukraine‘s drone capabilities in the coming months. I expect them to do. It will be a hard winter for Ukraine and the EU.

The video clearly shows the drone hitting the beach intact, on a controlled descent trajectory. Were it shot down, it would have either exploded in the air, its debris falling into the sea, or fell vertically uncontrollably. Are you paid to lie?

The killing of civilians and bombing civilian facilities, is the handy work of the British Deepstate by its MO.
It tries to replace the defeated strategy of yet another failed proxy grande armee to take Russia or at least Crimea; instead facing losing their jewel Odessa and all access to the Azov and Caspian.

The operation’s objective was to disrupt the Nazis’ supply deliveries and reinforcements to the Eastern front. This effort was designed to help the Red Army’s offensive in the Battle of Kursk.

If rail routes are “too easy to repair” why do people ever attack them? Don’t you need special trains with the rails and repair gear onboard – why not hit those the moment repairs start? And bridges and tunnels aren’t that easy to repair.
Russia hit a tunnel on the line from Chop to Lvov early on in the war – why not hit it again? And IIRC there’s special gear to change rail gauge – if it’s inside Ukraine, hit that.
I understand NATO are going to build a drone factory in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and the EU will improve the railway to Hungary. I’m no expert on logistics in that region, but I hope the potential routes for those drones are all being studied.

Thanks for reminding operation Railway War in Great Patriotic War. But it is also crucial to see the difference.
Operation Railway War was performed by the partisan movement, a people`s movement with high support in the populace of the territories occupied by the German Nazis. People had “enjoyed” their genocidal practices in the second and partially third year before they were ready for such a mass movement. While there was support, also logistical, and coordination by the Red Army, the attacks were almost exclusively carried out by locally and regionally operating partisan units.
Such is much different from the attacks on Nazi German infrastructure by the Western allies, which also targeted railway infrastructure, but could never achieve full disruption of the railway system. This, or US and Israeli attacks on Iran, and not the partisan movement, is comparable to the recent Russian warfare, and insofar, I tend to agree to Mr. Lascaris. though I did not know him until now (I strictly refuse to watch Youtube, and am not a fan of Mr. Helmer),
You could see how long it took for the Iranians to undo the damages of US and Israeli attacks on roads and railways. Even the strategically crusial Zatoka bridge (and the Mayaki road bridge north of it) were repeatedly attacked over years. And Russian missile and Geran stocks may be large, and production rates impressive, but they are not indefinite. Hunting ships, locomotives, gas stations, and electricity generation is prolly loading Russia’s capacities to a large extent.
And a nationwide Ukrainian partisan movement comparable to resistance against Nazi German occupiers is not in sight, at least not at the moment. While Banderists’ ideology in many aspects resembles Nazi ideology, it still glorifies their fantasies of a ukrainian people. Donbass, and also Crimean populace are excluded, and the rhetorics towards them are genocidal. calling then “nieliudy” (subhumans), or like the new UAF commander, as work-shy, criminal, and freebies. Even killingg some millions of them has been proposed already.
But there is no move to exterminate all Russian speaking Ukrainians, rather to force them to stutter the Banderites’ shitty “mova”. This is hardly the basis for a nationwide mass partisan movement. If it were, there would be also ways to remove the regime.

On 24July, China added 14 EU entities to its export Control List, effectively imposing sanctions by prohibiting the supply of dual-use goods. Lesson for RF – today is the 31st anniversary of the NATO/Croatan Fascist surprise attack on the Serbian Republic of Krajina.
This attack was specifically co-ordinated by the Clinton administration, in conjuction with NATO members UK and Germany, and the Croatan forces were led by US and UK and German ‘advisors’ on the ground.
NATO aircraft flew air cover for the fascists, as they overwhelmed the Serb forces. Serb regular army troops were blocked from accessing the Krajina to provided support by the Bosniak forces (paid for by SA and the UAE).
Serb forces were cut from Dubronik, thus insuring after the NATO coup in Montenegro that Serbia, Serb Bosnia and Serb Krajina would be denied a seaport (certainly you do not want an RF ally to have a ready port to receive supplies and ammo and oil).
There is no doubt that NATO at this very important moment is planning a similar operations against Russian population in the Transnistria.
Remember that thousands of Serb troops and civilians were summarily executed in the streets of the Krajina, hundreds of villages were destroyed, and over 250k refugees forces out their country. Whole areas were ethnically cleansed by the NATO and fascist forces.

Thanks, very interesting. Personally, I think Nato is the instigator as it actually wants this war and does everything to ignite it. Remember, Nato has rather dirty hands already (especially from Yugoslavia onwards). That means, sooner or later Russia will have to start some serious retaliating.

This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation, RegioNews reports .
The detonation at a military facility on the outskirts of Khmelnytskyi occurred on July 31 at around 11:55 a.m. and lasted almost until the end of the day.
According to preliminary data, at the time of the explosions, the servicemen were unloading ammunition at a military unit warehouse. As of August 3, five servicemen remain missing.
During the search, law enforcement officers discovered fragments of bodies. They were submitted for forensic and molecular genetic examinations to identify the deceased.
It is also known about eight servicemen who received injuries of varying severity. According to the State Bureau of Investigation, there is no threat to their lives. There is no data on civilian casualties.
Investigators questioned the unit’s command and servicemen, as well as the victims. Law enforcement officers seized documents related to the storage, transportation, and unloading of ammunition.
One of the versions of the investigation is a violation of the rules for handling ammunition, which could have caused the first explosion and subsequent detonation. In addition, the possibility of sabotage aimed at destroying the weapons is being checked.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Article 414 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of the rules for handling weapons, as well as substances or objects that pose an increased danger to the environment, which caused bodily injuries to several people.
As is known, rescuers continue to demine the area outside the military facility. The operation involved pyrotechnic, diving and canine units, specialists from the Unmanned Systems Forces, community rescue officers and mobile security classes.

Croatian President Tudjman was sending death squads to murder Serbian civilians BEFORE the war officially started. Tudjman sent TOMISLAV MERCEP and his gang which were “arresting” Serb civilians, torturing them in an old fallout shelter then taking them to the riverside and shooting them. A similar death squad under BRANIMIR GLAVAS was operating in Osijek. His squad went after Serbian hospital workers, including doctors.
The bodies of Serb civilians were washing up on the riverbanks in Croatia throughout 1991 yet not a single case of that happening to a Croat civilian.

Further the Croatian army and local Bosnian Muslims created a mass grave of Serb civilians in Sijekovac, northern Bosnia BEFORE that war began and out of 58 dead, there are 18 children.
Croats were massacring Serb children and women.
The Canadian UN soldiers witnessed Croats murdering Serb civilians in the Medak Pocket in 1993 and they recovered the bodies of women and girls who were brutally killed.
They found the bodies of 2 Serbian sisters who had been raped, tied to chairs and then set on fire. Their bodies were still hot enough to start melting the body bags according to the Canadian soldiers.

Croats are tools of key NATO powers and they were helped in killing and ethnically cleansing the Serbs population. US Pentagon contractors MPRI trained Croats for months before “Operation Storm” and earlier for the “rehearsal” to Operation Storm called “Operation Flash”. US had advisors on the ground during the whole attack and US was jamming Serbian radar and communications.
The Croats also bombed and strafed the Serb refugees along some roadways and the Croats used German made road cleaning equipment to clean off the guts, dead bodies and wrecks afterwards. This was witnessed by UN officer named Stephanie Bond who was in Croatia on and off from 1991-1998.
She further said that the Bosnian Muslim army crossed into Croatia and was burning Serbian homes and killing the livestock and then stacking the dead livestock into pyramids. She asked a Canadian Croat, Darko Peric, who was a communications officer during the war what it meant and he thought it was some warning of “this could happen to you” or something like that.

“Operation Storm” was planned by the Pentagon and it was a template for Georgia’s attack on South Ossetia, but after a few days the Russians reversed that, and it was also a template for what they planned for the Donbass in early March 2022, according to the Russians, so that is one reason they acted in late February 2022.

According to data collected by non-government organisations in Vukovar, during Mercep’s rule 86 Serb civilians disappeared or were killed.In one incident, they took three Serbs to the banks of the Danube, shot them and threw their bodies into the water.
As a result of Mercep tactics, 13,734 Serbs fled Vukovar in the summer of 1991, according to records of refugee arrivals in Belgrade.Evidence of the bodies in the Danube first surfaced when Croatian national guardswoman Ksenija Piplica was arrested and put on trial for war crimes by a Belgrade military court in July 1992.
She gave the court a detailed description of how on July 30, 1991 several members of the Croatian national guard, the ZNG, her among them, transported three detained Serbs in a pick up truck to the Danube, executed them, then pushed their bodies into the river.
“When night fell, people went to their basements to escape the explosions and gun shots. If you heard the squealing of car tyres in front of your house, you could be certain that in few minutes some Serb café would be blown up.
Among those arrested by Mercep’s men was Doctor Vojislav Stanimirovic, leader of Independent Democratic Serb Party, but his life was saved because he had friends among influential Vukovar Croats.
“Before the attack of the JNA on Vukovar, Mercep’s men imprisoned Serbs in the basement of the Territorial Defense building, and the weight-lifters club,” he said. “From there some people completely disappeared. About this there are living witnesses even today, not only Serbs that were then imprisoned, but also Croats who knew what was happening at the time.”

Witness Confesses to Lying to Help Croatian Wartime General
A key witness at Croatian wartime general Branimir Glavas’s retrial for the killings of Serb civilians in 1991 admitted he lied in earlier testimony when he said that Glavas did not have a commanding role over the perpetrators.
Nikola Jaman, who was a commander of the First Battalion of Osijek Defenders during wartime, testified at Zagreb County Court on Tuesday that he lied in earlier testimony about Branimir Glavas, who is being retried alongside six co-defendants for the killings of Serb civilians in the eastern city of Osijek in 1991.
“I accept [the fact] that I was the commander [of the battalion]… but I and all of us were commanded by Branimir Glavas, who was the alpha and omega of everything in Osijek,” Jaman said.
While testifying at the first trial of Glavas and his co-defendants in January 2009, Jaman said that Glavas only took care of the procurement of logistics and that he did not interfere in command issues.
Before the trial, Jaman told Croatian media that he had lied at the first trial to save Glavas, and that his conscience had since awakened as he is suffering from an incurable disease.
Glavas’s first trial started in October 2007 and encompassed two cases, codenamed ‘Garage’ and ‘Sellotape’.
In the ‘Garage’ case, Cedomir Vuckovic was forced to drink car battery acid in a garage in Osijek in August 1991. When he ran out of the garage in pain, he was shot by Krunoslav Fehir, a member of the 1st Battalion of Osijek Defenders, which was commanded by Glavas.
Vuckovic died from the consequences of the poisoning. Glavas then allegedly came from his nearby office and ordered that a second prisoner, Dordje Petkovic, should be executed.
Jaman told the court that he lied about that incident: “I also lied when, during the 2006 investigation, I claimed that I learned of Vuckovic’s murder while on a trip to Germany. I gave Glavas the idea to claim that Vuckovic was killed while trying to attack Glavas.”
Jaman confirmed to the judge that he was lying although he was warned that giving a false statement is a criminal offence.
Glavas, like his lawyers, objected to Jaman’s testimony, stating that the witness was lying that he had been in Osijek at the time of Vuckovic’s murder. Glavas claims that he and Jaman were both in Germany at the time.
In the ‘Sellotape’ case, Glavas’s unit arrested six civilians in November and December 1991 in Osijek and then tortured them in a basement in the city. They were then brought to the Drava riverbank, where the unit’s members executed them, with their hands tied behind their backs with sellotape.
