War On Iran: – U.S.’ Missile Defense Stock Is Severely Depleted

These numbers by CSIS, which show what is left in the stockpile of U.S. air-defense missiles, explain Iran’s current strategy.

bigger
Last night Iran fired some 6 older liquid-fuel missiles against U.S. positions in Jordan. The strike was probably a reply to U.S. and Saudi strikes on Iran friendly forces in Iraq.

It was reported that the U.S. expended at least 10 Patriot missiles to take down some of the incoming Iranian ones.

Patriot missiles are down to some 800. Of the longer range THAAD, useless against drones, there are some 250 left to fire.

Another few dozen days of intense fire exchange will leave all U.S. bases in the Middle East unprotected.

After the strike U.S. President Trump pledged revenge:

President Trump was cited by Fox News as saying the U.S. would hit Iran hard in response to the attack. “They’re going to get a beating,” chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst early Wednesday quoted Trump as telling him.

Trump doesn’t learn.

Iran will respond to any attack and the U.S. situation will worsen.

Individually 3D printing the Patriot interceptors would probably be 10x faster than the current production method which appears to be two six man teams of greybeard artisans, one in the Ozarks and the other in Amish country. Ergo, it will never happen.

In the case of astrophysics they did need complicated equipment by each receiving antenna for microwave signals when they imaged the black hole at the center of the milkyway. The sampling speed must be faster than the received microwave frequency.

In the optical part of the spectrum China has used quantum entanglement with an emitted optical radar signal. That isnt practical for microwaves. But since that requires an emitted signal it is a different matter anyway.

In the case of the sattelites what I actually had in mind was that the collection of sattelites could pinpoint individual signals within a wavelength sized area or even volume on the ground or above ground of the radio signal. That isnt radar properly speaking but it is a way to achieve very high resolution so single areas within a wavelength may be selected without any other part noticing any signals.

I think that could be implemented without any other complication apart from the computer program than accurate timing where the time base is on the ground and a 3D map of the sattelites coordinates is kept fresh. The complicated part would be in some center on the ground.

The first Qatari LNG shipment in three weeks has successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz along an Iranian-designated route with Tehran’s authorization, Fars news agency reported.

Three weeks ago, following a US violation of a memorandum of understanding, Tehran mandated that all maritime traffic through the Strait require Iranian approval.

Fars said that the Qatari tanker presented clear identification data and adhered to the Iranian-designated route, allowing it to sail smoothly through the waterway.

US-Saudi strikes in Iraq killed about 20 Iranian advisers – NYT

US-Saudi strikes in Iraq on Tuesday night killed about 20 Iranian advisers, including members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and technical advisers, the New York Times reported, citing an US official.
The sites were deliberately targeted because of the presence of the advisers and to degrade the ability of Iran-backed militias to launch missiles and drones, the official added.

Merz simply represents the people who (s)elected him. So before removing him and Macron and others of their ilk, better solve the deeper problem, how to remove the people who (s)elected them. That means removing a (w)hole class of bankers together with their institutions and culture. No sign of that even being dreamed of, except in a few corners of the world trying to put together a banking system without money making money on money. In other words, banking services must be strictly limited to the real world of trade and manufacture plus related (non-FIREW) services. W = War, the growth industry enthusiastically supported by Merz et al.

‘Oil price has dropped 4,07%, erasing the gains of the previous day. Did peace break out overnight?’ – Perimetr 212

This may explain what is going on:

The SPR Oil Company Profit Scam

When the US government releases crude oil supply from the SPR it doesn’t charge the oil companies anything for the oil.

They get the oil for free.

No cost.

They then can sell it for export at the then prevailing market price—i.e. $100 per barrel or more if April to June 17.

Or, they can refine it and sell it in the US domestic market—again at the $4.50/gallon price instead of prior $2.92/gallon.

In both cases there’s no costs of production for the drilling and other pre-refinery production. And if for export, no costs of production at all. Lower or no cost mean windfall profits.

In the first quarter of 2026 the 27 major US oil companies reported windfall profits of $40 billion.

That was before the Iran war and the price escalation.

Soon they’ll report second quarter 2026 profits. Analysts except that to be $60 to $80 billion additional profit windfall.

So the US big oil companies in just the first half will realize more than $100 billion further profit from the Iran war. While the US consumer puts out $69 billion and cuts other spending and/or his savings by that amount.

Who says war is not profitable!

And who wants it to continue?

And this is not to mention the Weapons companies of the Military Industrial Complex.

Or the financial speculators who got pre-notice of Trump’s market price manipulation announcements—which include his friends and family businesses who placed speculative bets on oil price swings since February 2026!

[Trump’s ‘friends’ extend far and wide to include essentially everyone everywhere profiting from these endeavors]

The SPR oil company profits scam—where they wait to take SPR free oil at $0 dollar cost until it reaches $100 per barrel and more and then sell it at 100% profit—is just one of many ways that capitalists of various ilk have been exploiting the war.

Defenders of the SPR scam will argue the oil companies don’t realize 100% profit.

They have to return the free oil from the SPR at a higher rate that they received. Typically they are required to return 1.2 barrels for every 1 barrel they take.

True.

But they can wait up to two years to replace the 1.2 barrels.

So they wait until the price per barrel falls more than 20% in order to pump their own oil to send to the SPR.

This is not unlike ‘short selling’ stock market shares by speculators.

In a short sale, the financial speculator capitalist takes possession of a share of stock and technically ‘sells’ it.

[it’s not just ‘capitalists’ who profit from this]

When the price of the stock then collapses he ‘buys’ the stock at the much lower price.

So he buys it low and (pre) sells it high.

The difference is the speculative profit.

He doesn’t actually take possession of anything. It’s all an accounting manipulation, except for the profit at the end which he gets to bank in his account.

That’s real.

In similar fashion, the Oil company waits until the price per gallon is high, only then ‘takes’ the oil from the SPR.

Sells it at the peak market price.

Then waits until the price collapses and replaces the oil at the low market price.

Even if the replacement is 1.2 to 1, the profit difference is when the lower replacement price is less than 20%.

US oil companies took and sold SPR oil at $100 or more per barrel.

They have two years to replace it at less than $80.

The difference is pure profit.

Should a recession occur within two years, the price per crude will certainly fall to $50 or less.

Other Evidence of No Oil Shortage

The oil companies in the meantime gouge the US consumer at the retail level for gasoline, home heating oil, and diesel.

If there was a true supply shortage, why has US crude oil production not changed at all during 2026 and the war?…

Forgive me if this has already been posted but his analysis is the best.  US warmongering production is in deep trouble, of which samarium is but one example.  Truly, the US might not ever rebuild its stocks at all. Debts and economic woes across the years needed may prevent any buildout – ever.
And again, gaining control over world hydrocarbons is futile across the long term. China will overthrow the worldwide petro industry with its reactor buildout.

This is fake news.  Does Iran actually believe the fake news?  I don’t think they do as their operatives are largely responsible for putting it out there and feeding it to POTUS and his top advisors.  The strategy is to constantly provoke and lure the United States into ceasefire traps.  During the ceasefires they rearm, rest, regroup, and come back stronger than they were before and we do the whole thing over again.  Continuing this folly will eventually deplete us!!  During the last 113 days or so of fighting we needed one more day maybe two to completely eliminate the threat.  We entered into a ceasefire!!  At the start of the war, we needed only a few more days perhaps less to eliminate the threat but entered into a “Memorandum of Understanding” instead.  Hopefully POTUS has learned now.  Win the war as quickly as possible by and all means necessary and stop falling for ceasefire traps.  This will help preserve our supplies and preserve our strength as well bring down the price of oil.  If America is low on supplies, Iran is likely in even worse shape!!  Press teh fight.  I don’t think Iran is the mighty and great unbeatable force we’ve been told it is.  We’ve lived in abject terror of them for way to long!!

Interestingly, Mao Zedong was best friends with Liu Shaoqi who wrote ‘How to be a Good Communist’ which was required reading for comrades-in-the-making for decades.

They had a huge falling out and Mao jailed Liu because Liu was a threat to his own communist ego and vanity.

How to be a Good Communist Rule Number 6:

‘A Party Member’s Personal Interests Must be Unconditionally Subordinated to the Interests of the Party

Personal interests must be subordinated to the Party’s interests, the interests of the local Party organization to those of the entire Party, the interests of the part to those of the whole, and temporary to long-term interests.

This is a Marxist-Leninist principle which must be followed by every Communist.’

Hmmm. Sounds certifiable.

Both Mao and Liu lived among their own elites.

Theirs wasn’t an outwardly ostentatious ‘western’ lifestyle but it was at a level well above and beyond what the average Chinese or the average person anywhere lived.

The communists are, in their own way, the most hypocritically audacious people the world has ever known.

Anyway, I’ll meet you at Zhongnanhai sometime for a beer and a burger.

I rather think the SA/USReali attack on PMF was a provocation to draw them into an SA land conflict w/PMF,  rather than the inevitable land invasion of Syria they threatened should Jolani send in his head-choppers to Lebanon as ordered by Trump.  In any case,  the PMF can simply attack some USReali stuff inside Iraq and leave SA to Ansurallah to destroy.

Really?

Context is important.
Mao was throwing off a Super Imperial Mercantile power (later mercantilism was rebranded as capitalism to include individual oligarchy class), that had drug addled its society with heroin and individualism basically meant you were on your own to be impoverished & killed.

It was a brutal correction agreed. But necessary to pull the roots of capitalism/West Imperialism out.

Its still balancing out and finding its way, again I say, no form of governance that is an “ism” is incorruptible, sooner or later they all get corrupted to the core and disintegrate.

In my interpretation this means there still is some degree of priority in favour of the Greater Israel project. The question is will China and the other rivals ever accept that scenario?
.
Since China and Russia might prefer that to WW3 I am not sure how they look at it. It is most likely that Britain will support it at some point.
.
Greater Israel as something reminding of the geographical extent of the Babylonian Empire was suggested to Theodore Herzl early on.

But he didnt become a zionist until 1894.

The Legacy of British Evangelical Restorationism (Pre-1860 to 1890s)Long before Herzl turned to Zionism, a powerful movement known as Christian Restorationism flourished in Britain.

Driven by figures like Lord Shaftesbury and the traveler Laurence Oliphant (who spent the 1880s proposing Jewish settlement schemes in Palestine under British backing), British elites viewed the return of Jews to Palestine through a mix of biblical prophecy and imperial strategy. Recent historical research demonstrates that Herzl was fully aware of these earlier British and American petitions.

British Colonial Structure as a BlueprintWhen Herzl conceptualized the physical execution of a Jewish State, he completely bypassed traditional religious concepts. Instead, he modeled his strategy on British chartered colonial companies (like the British East India Company or Cecil Rhodes’ enterprises). He envisioned a entity called the “Jewish Company” to handle the legal, financial, and physical migration, heavily drawing from British imperial administrative models of the late 19th century.

I dont think that background is obsolete even though the actors on the scene are different

That was then this is now. The fact remains. America is a paper tiger.

Posted by: John Gilberts | Jul 30 2026 15:57 utc | 254

Maos view about the US being a Paper Tiger was a consequence of misreading who was actually in some ways pulling the strings of that Paper Tiger. China didnt enter the Korean War as a risky move.

It already knew the US would not use nuclear weapons against Chinas territory. They knew because the British ‘spies’ told China about that but calling them spies is misleading since in all likelyness such agents were not double agents fooling their own side but triple agents always in Britain’s service.

Since both Russia and China were strongly influenced by the  UK and neither of those two rivals of the empire have ever been open about it this is an issue that handicaps our debate about History.

In the Chinese case it was influenced by the angloamerican elites so in appearance the US was involved but everything about Yale’s Skull and Bones and their idea about supporting both sides seems to have been in agreement with Britains aims all the way back a century earlier.

Meanwhile the so-called Labour Party (noted bastion of ID politics) batters on with its decades-long agenda of destroying the British working and lower-middle classes, along with what used to be national identity. So many of its voters will inevitably switch to mass-media pimped Reform — effectively replacing one Zionist front with another that’s every bit as rotten.

A word about “antisemitism” on MoA.

Since its inception, Israel has committed a number of crimes against humanity, against the Palestinians and its neighbors.

Lately, these crimes are being concealed less and less. The perpetrators boast about them and demand that the entire world accept this state of affairs.

A certain well-known lobby, leveraging its influence over Western leadership, the media, and the economy, has set out to silence and criminalize any criticism of these crimes and of those who speak out against them.

Yet resistance is emerging; citizens are protesting, and spaces for free expression, such as forums on “alternative” sites like MoA, still allow people to have their say.

These spaces are vital, so much so that it is worth tolerating the occasional excesses of extremists or the thoughtless.

Coming to a site like this and attempting to curtail people’s freedom of speech by invoking “antisemitism” is a notion that only the twisted logic of certain individuals could deem realistic.

The poster in question is perfectly justified in taking offense at personal attacks directed at him, as I am.
However, he has no grounds to defend an entire group against all criticism simply because he belongs to it.

While he may well distinguish himself from the actions and ideas advocated by other members of the group, he should have no business trying to defend them when the criticism is not directed at him personally.

I do not know if the poster, who is silent today, is/was a troll.
But it is the same irrational and unsustainable attitude that the new “antisemitism” troll and a few “name-changers” have decided to adopt :
“Don’t say a bad word about Jews because there are innocent ones”.
This can’t work.

You will never be able to silence people while genocide continues in Gaza, the West Bank, and across the Middle East.

You will never be able to generate respect and regard for “innocent Jews” while seeking to employ the same tactics used by Israel and complicit governments, namely, that now-hollow accusation of “antisemitism.”

If you are not with them, why defend them, using the same tools?

But, of course, they are set on trying. And failing.

The jews in the illegal settlement in palestine have shamed the entire jewish race for eternity. To be an antisemite today and wish a new diaspora on the jews should not be something necessary to hide! another issue which the world must address is the vast amounts of money transferred from jews living elsewhere than in the illegal statelet, collected in their synagogues and privately by wealthy jews and used, directly or indirectly, in the jews genocide of palestinians and the jews assassination teams, thus making each giver aiding and abetting the genocide and other warcrimes the jews are guilty of. And trust my words – they are many. Off with their heads!

Posted by: nisses | Jul 31 2026 4:22 utc | 280

nisses,

what you are looking for is the war crimes legal concept of joint criminal enterprise

Joint criminal enterprise (JCE) is a legal doctrine that has been used during war crimes tribunals to prosecute individuals in a group for the actions of said group. This doctrine considers each member of an organized group individually responsible for crimes committed by the group within its common plan or purpose.[1]

https://web.archive.org/web/20091214205815/http://www.cambodiatribunal.org/blog/Joint-Criminal-Enterprise-and-the-Khmer-Rouge-Prosecutions.html

Finally note, war crimes have no statute of limitations. Long After someone has passed on, their estate can be taken to pay for damages caused by the Joint Criminal Enterprise. People such as Trump, Stephan Miller, Ron Lauder, etc. are especially vulnerable.

‘The Guidelines say – Please stick to the topic. Contribute facts. Do not attack other commentators’

I have trouble sticking to the topic because my mind is more often than not non-linear…so many comments and even a tidbit of a comment can prompt much wide-ranging thought in me which I do not always delineate well.

I ‘attacked’ B and Ornot and John Gilberts and some others by essentially calling them liars or, in B’s case, I announced to the board that they need to make up their minds if they want to keep posting here because B wrote a piece which seemed to exonerate Epstein a la Michael Tracey and others.

I was shocked.

I then was banned. Understandably.

But I came back using ‘Agonizing Reappraisal’ before trying my given name again to find that it is allowed.

So, after announcing that everyone of good conscience should leave I myself came back!

‘These are my principles. If you don’t like these, I have others.’

I don’t think George of Zeroth cared much for me…I think after our back-and-forth on Julian Mendax Assange he said he wasn’t going to engage with me anymore.

But I don’t know why he is seen by some as a Jewish Supremacist.

I think he’s just a regular guy who happened to be born Jewish.

But what do I know?
