War On Iran: – Good Guy/Bad Guy Story Of USraeli Assassination Attempt Makes Little Sense

There have been several fake good-guy/bad-guy routines played by the U.S. and Israel with regards to Iran.  Today the Washington Post and others put out another such performance with claims that the U.S. warned Iran (archived) of a potential assassination:

Senior U.S. officials feared that Israel intended to assassinate Iran’s top negotiators as the Trump administration pursued a high-stakes deal to end the war there and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, current and former officials familiar with the matter said.

Washington’s objection to killing Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, and Mohammad Ghalibaf, the country’s parliamentary speaker, was so acute that this spring it took the extraordinary step of asking intermediaries to warn Iran about Israel’s assassination aims, the officials said.

It is hard to believe, as is claimed, that the U.S. ever had or has any reluctance to kill Iranian officials:

As far back as March, when the Trump administration began to explore diplomatic options for ending the war, U.S. officials told Israeli counterparts not to continue killing Iran’s political leadership, said a diplomat.

That U.S. officials felt the need to take an additional step and warn Iran that its top negotiators could be killed demonstrates the strain in the U.S.-Israel relationship and the Trump administration’s limited influence over the Israeli government, said analysts.

The U.S. claim of “limited influence” over Israel makes absolutely no sense. Israel is 100% dependent on U.S. money and  protection. The U.S. has used more air defense missiles against attacks on Israel by Iran than Israel itself had fired.

It seems that the “senior U.S. official” who issued the story, likely Vice President JD Vance, wants to depict himself as positive towards Iran to gain a friendlier atmosphere in future negotiations.

A similar story (archived) was handed to the NY Times. That version includes additional exaggerations:

Fearful that an Israeli assassination effort would doom the negotiations, the United States, according to some of the officials, went so far as to ask other countries in the region to warn Iran about the possibility Israel could target the two officials.

In April, Mr. Ghalibaf was set to travel to Islamabad to meet with Vice President JD Vance. But Iranian security officials were concerned that Israel would use the opportunity to assassinate Mr. Ghalibaf or Mr. Araghchi to derail the talks, the officials said.

Iranians sought guarantees from the United States, through Pakistani and Qatari intermediaries, that Israel would not carry out any covert operations targeting the Iranian delegation, the officials said.

Pakistani fighter jets escorted the Iranian airplanes carrying a delegation of more than 70 Iranians from the border of Iran to Islamabad and back again when the session was over.

But on the way back to Tehran, an Israeli security threat emerged.

Iran’s security forces notified the plane carrying Mr. Ghalibaf back to Tehran that they had picked up intelligence that Israel planned to attack the plane and that two Israeli fighter jets had entered Iran’s airspace from its western border near Iraq, the two officials said.

Mahdi Mohammadi, a senior adviser for Mr. Ghalibaf, who accompanied him to Islamabad, confirmed this account on his social media page. The plane made an emergency landing in the city of Mashhad, Iran’s closest airport to the Pakistani border, and the Iranian delegation traveled some eight hours by land back to Tehran, Mr. Mohammadi and the two officials said.

If the Iranians were already concerned about the security of its Islamabad delegation why would the U.S. have needed to additionally warn them?

The claim that Israeli fighter jets had entered Iran’s airspace to attack a plane coming from Islamabad to Tehran makes also no sense. The distance between the Iranian west coast and Mashhad is more than 1,000 kilometer (660 mi). Any Israeli jet trying to catch the delegation’s plane would have needed to refuel over Iran. Only the U.S. could have provided the necessary refueling capacity but would not do so in the hostile Iranian airspace.

By the way – I find no mentioning of the affair on the Twitter/X account of Mahdi Mohammadi.

But the story of the Iranian flight landing in Mashhad instead of Tehran was told by Professor Marandi on a Judge Napolitano show on April 15.

Marandi points out that it was a Washington Post OpEd (archived) by Marc Thiessen, a former speechwriter for George W. Bush, on April 8 which had called for the assassination of the Iranian negotiators:

[C]arry out a final barrage of leadership strikes, eliminating the Iranian officials who had been spared for the purpose of negotiations. Iran’s leaders must be made to understand that their lives literally depend on reaching a negotiated settlement to Trump’s liking. If they refuse to do so, they will be killed.

The plan to kill the Iranian negotiators, which came back from Islamabad on April 11/12, was not a plan by Israelis but one published by a former U.S. official in a major U.S. media outlet. The plan failed because the Iranians took evasive measures.

To claim that this was an Israeli idea and operation which the U.S. somehow prevented, as the WaPo and NY Times do now, makes little sense.

This kind of language reminds me of Anglosaxon poetry,  good guy/bad guy routines of the Battle of Maldon.
In the heroic poem ,  the good  guys are the Christian , Pagan-destroying, Anglosaxon conquerors of Britain, who are fearless like the Iranians today.
And the bad guys are the Danish Viking pirates, which is like the USUKIS Zionazis today.

Iran are 100% good guys. single handedly resisting the utterly evil, cowardly, child slaughtering , dog-raper heathens of Tel Aviv.

But 70 years after the Battle of Maldon,  in 1066, the Norsemen  conquered Britain.
These Vikings have already travelled to North America, and ferried the new superpower of Islam in their boats, picking up Shi’a artefacts in the process.

Today , the USUKIS is stalking West Asia, just as the Vikings stalked Europe 1000 years ago.
The Zionists are unredeemable pirates and pagans, but they are allied to both the superpower US and also former Empire Britain and  Political Islam.

Political Islam has sided 100% with USUKIS , because they have power, and completely regardless of their piratical nature.
So, who is going to win ?

The morally superior Iranians who have the fearless courage to defy the Pirate Empire with Saints like Araghchi and home made missiles
or the Pirate Empire with its ugly monkey baby clinging on ,  Political Islam.

On the model of the Norman Conquest, the morally   honourable Iranians might be defeated by the morally indefensible, Pirate, USUKIS Empire.

Especially  because USUK/Zion/Political Islam is utterly corrupt , immoral, unethical, but powerful and ruthless.

USUKIS/Zion/ Political Islam  might bomb Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral ,  in a show of senseless Piratical callousness.
The good guys don’t always win.

Tehran hits back, mocks Trump’s claim that Iran needs US food support

Iranian parliament speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has hit back at US President Donald Trump’s recent remarks on Iran’s food situation.

In an interview with CNBC on Thursday, Trump repeated his claim that Iran will buy agricultural products from the US as part of any future peace deal, which Iran has denied.

“They need food. They need corn and wheat and soya beans, and we’re going to have exclusively our American farmers provide,” Trump told the US broadcaster.

Ghalibaf responded on X a few hours ago, dismissing the US president’s assertions.
“Imagine having 40-something million of your own citizens on food stamps and calling another nation hungry,” he said.

“This is not a proclamation. This is a projection. Keep your SNAP advice,” he said.

“Our assets, our choices. Mind your malnutrition rates,” he added.

More than 42 million people in the United States were participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) last year, commonly referred to as the food stamp programme, according to the US Department of Agriculture.

Somebody in the tread wrote “in the west there is no news, only story telling.”
This reminded me of a video i saw yesterday. There a US journalist describes in a official hearing, aired on c span, his work on MK Ultra / Manson killings / LSD experiments.
What struck me while i was listening to him was the fact that i personaly know the subject only from a pop cultural perspectivity. Just like a folk tale which is as much fact as it is fiction. It is incredible how something that dark sinks into our collective consiousness and  shapes our perception but the more facts are revealed the less gravity it has.
What is more totalitarian than a system which  metabolizes criticism into legitimising it self and that again even to a convincing degree. I always envied my older cousins who were “revolutionaries” in 1989 (tipical german revolutionaries one might add).

Everyone is going off the deep-end, as intended. Trump’s acumen, the goal of the tsunami of bullshit.

Trotsky in his autobio recalled a scene in a tavern where a worker to explain why he’s for revolution grabbed a bowl of dried beans from the kitchen and spread them out on the table, he made neat concentric rings with one bean in the middle, saying, “that one’s the Czar”. The the scrambled them all up and asked, “now which one’s the Czar?” Trump is doing a warped version of this, he’s mixing up all the beans then asking, “now which ones are knowledgeable, competent, sane?”

still, humanity has made no visible progress in its need to establish a world order that keeps “humans safe” from the aggressors in charge of the actions and activities of the nation states.

The UN needs to conditionally license the nation states. The conditions of the license needs to be that no licensed nation state can do business with the residents or the governments of an unlicensed nation or organization. The nation state licenses automatically revoke when or if a nation state infringes anyone’s (domestic or foreign) human rights.

Human rights include those outlined in the 14th , 15th and the 1st through the 10th amendments of the US constitution (1788),  and the three important elements (life, liberty and pursuit of happiness) from the American Declaration of Independence which expelled Britain from America (1776), and rights established by the UN, including the right to travel and the right to chose to live peacefully in the nation state of choice of each human.

More and more I think governments should be considered as service agencies, and citizen voting should resolve to voting on which service agency will govern based on the most efficient cost of obtaining the goals to be achieved during the service contract period.

In other words, instead of voting for the most handsome candidate and allowing that candidate to select a politically dominated team to govern, corporations should compete (in popular elections) for a contract to govern.  (voters would be voting on which corporation is most likely to efficiently achieve governing goals important to voters) .  That contract defines the goals to be achieved, the things the government is prohibited from doing or engaging, and lays out a budget which it must adhere to). So voters would be voting on achieving measurable results with predetermined goals, at predetermined cost to the economy.

Some how humanity needs to tame the politically controlled governing power that nearly always infringes human rights.

While not everybody here agrees about Trotskism being a strange religion it surely has been a more favoured cult by western imperialists. than other brands.

Given as how Israel’s control of US foreign policy operates through non-Jewish front men like Thiessen who owe their entire employment to this day to wealthy Zionists giving them bullshit “think tank” jobs or getting them column space in newspaper and how he came in with the neocons as one of their pets like Cheney. I think it’s a bit much to say the idea came from America when in reality the idea did come from Zionist Jews who told him to write it up for them. Whether those Zionists were also Israelis has historically not made a difference. The use of proxies and puppets to conceal the real originators of these ideas is old hat by now.
The question is, did the idea come from inside the administration, almost all such neocon tripe in American media ultimately comes from Israel.
But ultimately it’s a fruitless exercise, if Trump wants to end this war the only way will be to just retreat. If he wants to save face then doing so quietly is very easy, you could even negotiate with Iran and the Western MSM to not rub his face in it to save face. You just stop shooting and slowly draw down the forces until the war just fades out. Trying to get some agreement is pointless because even if he is sincere about it, it’s impossible to negotiate with the US, the neocons and Israel lobby will undermine or terminate any agreement since they want total submission, total neutering of any resistance. Even if Trump manages to get some agreement, then the next guy (Trump himself tore up Obama’s deal) will torch it. Israel and the US have no controls on their actions and thus no agreement with them is worth anything since there is no mechanism to keep it.

Lebanese president urges US to ‘keep standing’ by country

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has urged the US to stand by his country after a recent US-backed framework deal with Israel, which calls for the disarmament of Hezbollah.

In a congratulatory message to Trump marking the US’s 250th anniversary of independence, Aoun urged Washington to “keep always standing beside Lebanon’s right and just causes, its institutions, army and people”.

Aoun expressed hope that Lebanon could “turn the page on wars… and open a new page of hope, peace and stability”.

The Lebanese government’s mission to disarm Hezbollah has raised fears within the country of a renewed civil war, similar to that which engulfed the country between 1975 and 1990.

Hezbollah has rejected the framework agreement and refused to lay down arms

When people are provided an explanation to a disturbing incomprehensible, they tend to accept that as a form of relief to their doubts and the endless uncertainty of their questioning.

In other words, the sense of community, or of concern for others, gets focused on and trapped in an extreme representation contrary of those values, the lack of resolution is just ‘an empty space’ ready for whatever is installed as ‘an answer’.

This is practiced purposefully at many levels by various, of the less scrupulous. Bait and switch is a simple example .

People might learn to know themselves better to overcome this form of manipulation, or how to simply disconnect and reground themselves in reality at choice, when they become aware that influences are being tried on them.

Possibly for a lot of people it is all ‘part of the show’ and they enjoy participating somehow though, enjoy the sense of attention or importance it all seems to bring.

Just hypothesis.

Reckon that psychiatrists and psychologists are mostly cult members, encouraged to associate with each other inside their comparatively small bubble of mutual-reinforcement ‘security’ in case their minds get infected with reality.

Present day establishment politicians (and their oligarch masters) tend to be much the same but within a larger bubble.

The institutional academic world also has these forms of bubble. I think it is, or has become, a purposeful feature and not an error.

Like bureaucracy, if you try questioning or scrutinising the workings, you get immediately walled out. They know of the various inconsistencies, also who or what not to question, they have prepared explanations and excuses, circular arguments or paper trails that lead nowhere. Many then take advantage of the lack of accountability present.

In short, very cult-like.

OT, but since some of you have debated for and against the existance of the God og creation. I like to point out that as humans inhabiting spacetime there is  one limit beyond our reach.
.
Since anything that travels close to the speed of light has time dilated and ceases to change altogether at the limit. While this sort of travel isnt a practical issue it points to there being something odd with light and its speed. Since light always travels at that speed we can never attain.

That tells us that spacetime may not be the whole story. I wont bore you with my humble theories in collaboration with AI. But what transpired was that there may very well be a different frame that concerns physics very much but isnt in space-time. With that background one ought to be humble about categorically outruling something beyound our everyday common sense.

It depends on what you think US is. If you mean Trump, his goals for Iran were described many years ago in his own interviews. He wants to take all their oil. For some reason he has always thought that taking that little island would do that instantly. And because he’s used to instant surrender like Venezuela or Russia, he can’t process Iran or Yemen’s behavior but he doesn’t care either and will continue to do what he and/or Bibi wants.
Maybe we’ll see how fast Xi surrenders too, though it may not be needed considering the official statements from China always match Us statements. For example Fu Cong Ding Dong the Chinese Un amb. and previously Eu amb. said that Crimea will be in Ukr when smo ends. So a war with China may not be needed after all, they can both milk Russia and make billions selling commercial drones to Ukr to be used to attack Russia to secure Russian deals for their drone parts. Doesn’t get any better than taking money from both sides. China does not recognize any new borders in Russia either and does not support Iranian fees for Hormuz, also like Us.

🔴In a continued violation of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli regime’s army is carrying out 4 extensive bombing operations targeting homes and residential buildings in the eastern and northeastern areas of Khan Yunis.
You are not paying attention to Gaza, southern Lebanon, and southern Syria, and the regime is consolidating its position in those places every day.

Agree very much … these news stories are just the scene setting and noise needed to legitimize the discussions … negotiations are fine but the actual agreements with the west are pointless, as they are not worth the paper they are written on. But if the negotiations lead to actions like peaceful separation and harm reduction, then they have served their purpose.
Let’s watch the actions therefore: will the funeral proceed without interference? Will there be US military reduction in the area? Will Iran get its money and open trade w/o interference? Will there be a significant reduction in the crappy little country’s actions in Lebanon? Etc.

@ michaelj72 | Jul 4 2026 15:51 utc | 138 with the report about Hormuz status…thanks for that and all your reporting

ZH has a posting up about the situation with the title

Ships Abruptly U-Turn Near Hormuz As Some Shift To Iran-Approved Routes

The reopening of the Hormuz chokepoint has proceeded relatively smoothly for weeks, but an overnight development shows that the process remains fragile. At least eight ships attempting to exit the Persian Gulf abruptly reversed course near the critical waterway.
Bloomberg cites ship-tracking data showing that the vessels, including oil tankers, product carriers, bulk carriers, and vehicle carriers, were moving toward the strait along the Omani coast before abruptly turning back. Several ships later resumed their transits through the strait by shifting northward onto a route closer to the Iranian coast, in line with Tehran’s request that ships use authorized Iranian-designated lanes.

I don’t expect the God Of Mammon cult to honor the funeral period for Iran if for no other reason than because it overshadows the 250 anniversary of the current face of empire.

Syria is a complicated place and I can see why some consider it the nexus of the Middle East. The Assad family seemed to keep things pretty stable. The US instigated a regime change with Turkey and Jolani backing. Russia and Iran stepped in to try and stop this.

Jolani and Turkey ended up ‘winning’. Russia seemed to maintain reasonable relations with Syria but Syria has more difficulty wth Iran.

The US would like to see Israel take over Syria and Lebanon but Syria, Turkey, hezbollah, hamas, Russia, Iran, Yemen and China seem opposed to that. That’s a pretty strong resistance.

I have nothing against people voluntarily help8ng each other out at all, by whatever harmless means. When that becomes institutionally framed, obligatory, part of legal dictate or social stigma, when it occurs under coercion and not merely as an act of well meaning attention or opinion, then the picture changes.

That is not to even include forms of manipulation that are possible and do occur in “proffessional settings”, let alone straight errors.

Let me put it another way maybe, just a couple of real world experiences amongst various; watching a psychologist sit as support and witness to a fellow worker openly attack and threaten another. Equally, watching a psychologist try to have one partner condemn another by offering suggestions of instability.

‘Dirty business’ imho.

But what transpired was that there may very well be a different frame that concerns physics very much but isnt in space-time
Me: Pre-big bang, the universe was in a highly compressed state, think of an infinite nucleus. Then there occurred something we may consider like a ‘quantum fluctuation’ similar to what occurs in a radioactive nucleus fissioning. The compressed state transitioned to an incredibly hot, expanding state [the lid had come off hell!] which after the 1st second formed a plasma [protons, neutrons, electrons and photons] which after cooling for ~380k years switched to atoms [mainly hydrogen and helium], allowing the photons to fly free. We *know* this because CMB.
The QED theory describes all of what we can see, and is incredibly accurate – but no place for deities. If you want the ‘the rest of the story’ try studying the work of Richard Feynman. rgds

Saudi Arabia is facing serious troubles today … they took the risky bet to support US/Greater Israel’s agenda in the region by waging war on Islamic Iran.

If it had worked out, they would have been the only major “muslim” power in the region for decades.

But now that it failed, it gives more legitimacy to the Yemenis to take revenge for the crimes committed against Yemen & its people, and to free their country from Saudi proxies.
And Iran — who was attacked from Riyadh’s Air Base, land and airspace — will not stop them.

The Saud know that too, this is probably why they sent a delegation to Khamenei’s funerals, trying to “repair the damage”.

Hind Rajab Foundation hails ‘significant victory’ after Israeli minister cancels US visit over legal pressure

Far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has canceled a planned visit to New York following legal action and grassroots pressure, with rights groups hailing the cancellation as a “significant victory” in the fight against impunity for Israeli officials guilty of war crimes.

The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF), a legal advocacy group, and the New York-based Center for Constitutional Rights welcomed reports of the cancellation, which came after the HRF filed a complaint with the US Department of Justice and, together with the Center, submitted a letter to New York Attorney General Letitia James.

In a statement, the HRF noted that for decades, senior Israeli officials “have traveled the world with the expectation of impunity. That era is coming to an end.” “When an Israeli minister cancels an international trip because of the possibility of facing criminal investigation, it demonstrates that accountability efforts are producing tangible results.”…….

Iran used different Quranic verses for each delegation, sending coded messages to countries and allies as they offered condolences for Sayyed Ali Khamenei.

Yet discourse analysis points to one overarching message: Iran is displaying regional power, not pleading for sympathy. It is asserting that it survived the assault of two nuclear-armed and powerful enemies, that both failed to achieve their objectives, and that both were damaged by Iran’s retaliation.

Marc Thiessen’s op-ed is diabolical.  The Vienna Convention absolutely prohibits one party from obtaining the signature of the other party by “coercion of its representative through act of threats directed against him”.
Such an agreement is defined as “Fraudulent” under that Convention and is therefore null and void.
You can go to war with another country to compel a course of action (though that is itself prohibited under the UN Charter), but you absolutely can not compel that country to concede by the simple expedient of holding a gun to the head of that country’s negotiating team.

That argument seems pointless.  The Iranians diverted from its flight path to land in Mashhad BECAUSE that airport was way outside the combat radius of any IDF warplane flying in from the direction of Iraq.

But any such IDF interception plan would have directed their jighter jets towards Tehran, which was the original destination of that Iranian transport plane.  And Tehran is within range of IDF jets, though they certainly would have needed refueling over Iraq both on the way in and on the way out again.

“The U.S. claim of “limited influence” over Israel makes absolutely no sense.”

There is a nuance, as the Russians might say.

If by “the U.S.” you mean the Empire, then this is absolutely the case. The Empire could shut the zionist project down this afternoon if that was what the Empire decided. But the Empire isn’t an individual nor is it any sort of collectively sentient entity. It is an emergent property of an economic system, capitalism. If an image is necessary to get a handle on what the Empire is, one that could suffice is a sub-sentient blob, an amoeba, that is guided by a collection of instincts (market forces in the reality outside our visualization); instincts that are largely independent of and often in conflict with each other. To say that Trump or Vance or any particular individual has “limited influence” over the zionist entity and to acknowledge that the zionist entity is entirely a creation of and tool of Empire and is wholly dependent upon the Empire, parasite-like, is not at all a contradiction. It is entirely possible to be aware that one is infected with a parasite but not have the means to do anything about it, after all.

====================================

First of all, excellent post. I may disagree with you, vehemently in some cases, on certain points, but you certainly have a good grasp of the “big picture” here and express yourself well.

So that being the case, that the Empire could, if it wanted to, shut down the murderous Zionist project, let me ask:

What if, just supposing here, Trump somehow miraculously decided on his own (maybe with the agreement of Vance) that Israel was just not worth supporting any longer and decided, on his own, to pull the plug on our support of them. Aside from the absurdity of this scenario, would he be able to do that on his own? Because as you point out, he’s not the Empire, only a cog in its machinery, albeit an important one.

One can follow this thought experiment further and imagine that in the event Trump took such a bold step, his chain would soon be yanked; maybe TPTB would allow his impeachment to go forward (let’s say after the Dems took over both houses after the midterms). Or the Epstein evidence, if it exists, would be released. Who knows?

Posted by: malenkov | Jul 6 2026 0:01 utc | 170

George the Zeroth @169
Let’s compare two cases in Trump’s first term where he gave orders and review how they played out to understand institutional power. Trump ordered the US military out of both Syria and Afghanistan. There was enormous resistance in the Pentagon to leaving Syria. “Yeah, we’re working on it, but it is complicated. These operations take time!” while nothing was really done to exit Syria. Meanwhile the Pentagon really wanted out of Afghanistan. No fuss or drama on the Pentagon’s part and they were out the very minute it was scheduled to occur. Sure, civilian organizations were caught off guard by the military’s efficient exit as they assumed the military would play the incompetent buffoon over the orders just like in Syria and be there forever.

So you see, if it is something the institution wants to get done, then it happens when it is ordered to do it. If there is internal institutional resistance to an order then it doesn’t get done, even as that institution issues all kinds of reports and documentation showing that it is trying to comply. Normally this dynamic is never visible to the public because PotUS is just a figurehead and his orders are just performance for matters that have already been decided by “the Deep State” or the “Establishment” or whatever you choose to call it… “Imperial machinery” works too as a label and like “Establishment” it encompasses control mechanisms outside the government such as mass media.

That is only a partial answer to the question, of course. Like much of the financing for the Ukraine war, the support for the zionist entity has been “Trump-proofed”. In fact, that support has been president-proofed since Kennedy, so it is not like many special protections needed to be put in place to guard against actions by Trump that the Establishment cannot predict and manage.

Posted by: William Gruff | Jul 6 2026 0:44 utc | 171

malenkov @170: “Congress would override any presidential veto of measures to support the Zionazi Entity.” <– This is the practical mechanism that the Establishment would deploy. If that isn’t enough then a judge somewhere would block Trump’s efforts.

Incorrect. The Pentagon stalled, they did not or could not meet Trump’s demand for exit which he publicly complained about. The exit was put off and stalled until Biden was President. Go check the historical timeline.

Check again, Tiger. That was the date planned during Trump #1.

Posted by: William Gruff | Jul 6 2026 2:04 utc | 174

My recollection is different to that presented by Mr. Gruff and Mr. Tiger.

In December 2018, Trump unilaterally announced withdrawal from Syria after a phone call with Turkish President Erdogan:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/dec/19/us-troops-syria-withdrawal-trump

Far from being a quiet process, Trump’s announcement precipitated a crisis, with “mad Dod: Mattis and Brett McGurk immediately resigning in protest:

https://youtu.be/6HTFpDGFoVA

The notion that the Pentagon wanted to withdraw from Afghanistan, and left “the very minute it was scheduled to occur” does not match reality. The Pentagon didn’t want a rapid, unconditional exit from Afghanistan, and during Trump’s first term, they  pushed for a “conditions-based” presence. In fact, I recall Trump actually increasing troop levels by several thousand in 2017 in an effort to stabilize the country:

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/4/14/what-we-know-about-us-troop-withdrawal-from-afghanistan

Even though Trump signed the Doha Agreement with the Taliban in February 2020, and set a withdrawal deadline for May 1, 2021, the withdrawal was effected under Biden on 30 August 2021.

Whatever commentary may be provided to elaborate on the background politics must coincide with historical fact.

You have to be extremely gullible to believe that shite. But you are not alone. Millions in the US and elsewhere believe the Donald’s made up story that he is fighting against the “deep state”

What should be obvious is that Trump has more power as president than any other in at least 100 years, maybe longer.  That is because Trump is not now or never has been anti-establishment. No other president has been so closely aligned with what the establishment wants and more capable of delivering what the establishment wants. Thus the establishment gives Trump free reign to accomplish the goals in whatever way he sees fit. That mostly means pretending to be anti-establishment while delivering on what the establishment wants. Would Hillary have been able to deliver huge tax cuts to the rich, suppression of regulations that limit corporate power, or the huge increases in war powers and spending? Of course not. Trump can talk out of both sides of his mouth to achieve the goals of the establishment like no other president could…

The notion that Trump wants out of Ukraine is believed only by the stupid. The establishment wants more support for Ukraine and Trump has delivered what the establishment wants like no other President could possibly do. Funding for Ukraine is at an all time high and the credit for that all goes to Trump.  Every anti-Trumper in the US is now pro-Ukrainian and that is the vast majority.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/nato-allies-pledge-military-aid-131938754.html

Under the plans, allies commit to supporting Ukraine with €70 billion ($80.1 billion) per year over a two-year period – totalling €140 billion – for military equipment, support and training.
