War On Iran: – Good Guy/Bad Guy Story Of USraeli Assassination Attempt Makes Little Sense
There have been several fake good-guy/bad-guy routines played by the U.S. and Israel with regards to Iran. Today the Washington Post and others put out another such performance with claims that the U.S. warned Iran (archived) of a potential assassination:
Senior U.S. officials feared that Israel intended to assassinate Iran’s top negotiators as the Trump administration pursued a high-stakes deal to end the war there and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, current and former officials familiar with the matter said.
Washington’s objection to killing Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, and Mohammad Ghalibaf, the country’s parliamentary speaker, was so acute that this spring it took the extraordinary step of asking intermediaries to warn Iran about Israel’s assassination aims, the officials said.
It is hard to believe, as is claimed, that the U.S. ever had or has any reluctance to kill Iranian officials:
As far back as March, when the Trump administration began to explore diplomatic options for ending the war, U.S. officials told Israeli counterparts not to continue killing Iran’s political leadership, said a diplomat.
That U.S. officials felt the need to take an additional step and warn Iran that its top negotiators could be killed demonstrates the strain in the U.S.-Israel relationship and the Trump administration’s limited influence over the Israeli government, said analysts.
The U.S. claim of “limited influence” over Israel makes absolutely no sense. Israel is 100% dependent on U.S. money and protection. The U.S. has used more air defense missiles against attacks on Israel by Iran than Israel itself had fired.
It seems that the “senior U.S. official” who issued the story, likely Vice President JD Vance, wants to depict himself as positive towards Iran to gain a friendlier atmosphere in future negotiations.
A similar story (archived) was handed to the NY Times. That version includes additional exaggerations:
Fearful that an Israeli assassination effort would doom the negotiations, the United States, according to some of the officials, went so far as to ask other countries in the region to warn Iran about the possibility Israel could target the two officials.

In April, Mr. Ghalibaf was set to travel to Islamabad to meet with Vice President JD Vance. But Iranian security officials were concerned that Israel would use the opportunity to assassinate Mr. Ghalibaf or Mr. Araghchi to derail the talks, the officials said.
Iranians sought guarantees from the United States, through Pakistani and Qatari intermediaries, that Israel would not carry out any covert operations targeting the Iranian delegation, the officials said.
Pakistani fighter jets escorted the Iranian airplanes carrying a delegation of more than 70 Iranians from the border of Iran to Islamabad and back again when the session was over.
But on the way back to Tehran, an Israeli security threat emerged.
Iran’s security forces notified the plane carrying Mr. Ghalibaf back to Tehran that they had picked up intelligence that Israel planned to attack the plane and that two Israeli fighter jets had entered Iran’s airspace from its western border near Iraq, the two officials said.
Mahdi Mohammadi, a senior adviser for Mr. Ghalibaf, who accompanied him to Islamabad, confirmed this account on his social media page. The plane made an emergency landing in the city of Mashhad, Iran’s closest airport to the Pakistani border, and the Iranian delegation traveled some eight hours by land back to Tehran, Mr. Mohammadi and the two officials said.
If the Iranians were already concerned about the security of its Islamabad delegation why would the U.S. have needed to additionally warn them?
The claim that Israeli fighter jets had entered Iran’s airspace to attack a plane coming from Islamabad to Tehran makes also no sense. The distance between the Iranian west coast and Mashhad is more than 1,000 kilometer (660 mi). Any Israeli jet trying to catch the delegation’s plane would have needed to refuel over Iran. Only the U.S. could have provided the necessary refueling capacity but would not do so in the hostile Iranian airspace.
By the way – I find no mentioning of the affair on the Twitter/X account of Mahdi Mohammadi.
But the story of the Iranian flight landing in Mashhad instead of Tehran was told by Professor Marandi on a Judge Napolitano show on April 15.
Marandi points out that it was a Washington Post OpEd (archived) by Marc Thiessen, a former speechwriter for George W. Bush, on April 8 which had called for the assassination of the Iranian negotiators:
[C]arry out a final barrage of leadership strikes, eliminating the Iranian officials who had been spared for the purpose of negotiations. Iran’s leaders must be made to understand that their lives literally depend on reaching a negotiated settlement to Trump’s liking. If they refuse to do so, they will be killed.
The plan to kill the Iranian negotiators, which came back from Islamabad on April 11/12, was not a plan by Israelis but one published by a former U.S. official in a major U.S. media outlet. The plan failed because the Iranians took evasive measures.
To claim that this was an Israeli idea and operation which the U.S. somehow prevented, as the WaPo and NY Times do now, makes little sense.
NARRATIVE CONTROL is as essential as tanks and bombs.
For example, you could not have false-flags. For what is a false-flag but perception management.

They had to think ahead about how they would cover up and sell their false flag, without a doubt.
They could count on their news media to be mocking birds.
Their news media is heavily controlled and censored and must get approval first from government censors before they publish.
But what script would the censors be following? Government censors would needto know what is allowed, what is permitted, what narrative is promoted.
Israel didn’t invent their script on October 8th, 2023, certainly.
On October 7th, 2023 Israeli news publications did what they could to cover a developing story.
The telling of October 7th could have followed a natural evolution as more became known.
But read this October 7th, 2023 article, this narrative was *born* on Oct 7th, it wasthe final and long lasting product.
Did the censors already have a script prepared for them in advance of October 7th?
Remember, to produce such an article the author would have had to interview Unit 8200,Unit 504, Mossad, IDF headquarters, the Gaza border watchers and so many more.

That last sentence should catch your attention, it did mine. Jeepers. A strong declaration coming from a reportertrying to make sense of October 7th **on** October 7th. Shooting was still taking place, smoke was still rising,the fires still burning, as he gathered information.And his sources? They would be rather busy on such a day.

Also, look at the sentence before the highlighted one. It seems like a Freudian Slip, “Such an operation requires early preparation with many collaborators.”

Russia should just stage a “breakaway republic” somewhere inside its territory. Then pretend to be very “angry” at that, and let the western PRESStitutes publish this as “the end of Russia”. After that, the “breakaway” “leaders”, obviously under Kremlin conmand, should declare “we don’t agree with Putin’s soft measures, NATO must be bombarded now”. After that, Russia declares “we don’t want civil war, so we won’t act militarily against the people in this ao called republic”. Missiles start flying, UNOPPOSED, from that republic inside Russia, towards every single NATO country where NATO military bases and logistics and production is serving the Ukrainian nazis. Destruction inside western capitals, and killing of western “leaders”. Putin will then keep talking daily nonsense to the press as the “good cop”, saying he wants to “mediate” the conflict amd “wants” peace, but he “can’t” control the “bad cop”.
This is what Russia would do, if people in Russia were at least half as bad as those lunatic genocidal monsters in Washington DC.
One “Gaza” in each western capital. One Minab “accident” in each western school… Escalation in the name of escalation, just to hurt and spread chaos and destruction and suffering, no matter what.

No matter how much criticism any Global South government deserves, it all comes up to this: we, in the West, are by far the most evil ones. We make bloody coups to put fascist in power, we overthrow sovereign democracies, we corrupt and threaten, we assassinate, we support terrorists, we either make illegal wars of aggression or use proxies to prolong conflicts, we colonize, we steal, we commit the crime of Apartheid and call it “democracy”, we commit ethnic cleansing, we support nazis, we apply sanctions to starve millions of people, and we even commit and livestream and celebrate genocide.
Those guys in suits with their names on the ballots are as bad as Hitler, but not even Hitler was as shameless as these so called “paladins of freedom and democracy”.
What happens to such regimes? To regimes whose way of living is based on aggression and lies?
It never ends well, but it always ends.
The people might be fooled into consenting all this or even pretending to “no know” of all these crimes, for decades or even centuries, before being harshly judged by later generations of more decent and enlightened people.
We, right now, our generation, are to the Collective West the equivalent generation that the Germans were in 1930-1945. We will be remembered by future generations with disgust.
But there’s a nuance: for the last 500 years or so, each time such western regime 2as finished, it was replaced, geopolitically speaking, by another western criminal regime: the Portuguese, the Spanish, the Netherlands, the French, the Belgium, the British, slavery trade, Nazi Germany, fascist Italy, the USA, our colonies in Africa and Americas and Asia, apartheid South Africa, and “israel”.
Western evil replaced western evil, with either one western hegemon, or western hegemony shared by 2 or 3 competing powers.
This will not happen again. The rest kf the world has now evolved enough to avoid the West evil to be replaced by another West evil.
Once the current West evil ends (USA genocidal and terrorist imperialism), no other western evil will be allowed to replace it.
And that’s the big picture that China and Russia and company are looking ahead to in the long term.
In 5 years, Moscow refuses to strike a single decision center, and not a single scratch happens to Kiev nazi politicians or their western visitors.
In 5 months USA assassinates or kidnaps leaders of several different people in several parts of the world.
That’s the difference.
The crumbling empire is in the most dangerous phase, doing all sorts of unthinkable things just to try to keep its power a bit longer.
The world being born is fighting its way up in a very different way. Sure, it also has its flaws (ex: it tolerates the UAE inside the BRICS while it is used by USA to bombard Iran, another BRICS member), but it’s definitely a change for the better and much more decent.
This “good cop, bad cop” obviously FAKE news is a great example of this difference.
Some of the Global South might impose some kind of control on the national media and even censorship of the international media, but that’s done in the name of sovereignty and peace. As a defensive mechanism against western propaganda.
In the West, the so called “free press” is just a megaphone on Pentagon’s and CIA’s mouth. We are “free” to be fooled and brainwashed and lied to. To create consent for more aggression, and be domesticated/colonized by the imperial/colonial power(s).
It’s all about perception.
Some 2 thousand years ago, a brown skin Palestinian Jew died, assassinated by the Roman empire. He was a progressive against the conservatives.
A dew decades later, his followers joined forces with that empire in a power struggle against mainstream jews inside Palestine.
They pretended the dead guy was “god” and centuries later also “father” and “son” and “spirit”, and then assassinated the ones that opposed that lie.

It takes a very well educated elite to lead and show the way to a better future. This is what happened in USSR since 1917, and nowadays happens in China in a much better way.
(One can only wonder what will happen on the 3rd great iteration of Communism, the young ideology still taking its first steps against the old rotten centuries old Capitalism/Feudalism)
