Militarywatchmagazine has a new article confirms that, yes, Iran will be getting Russian military aircraft (and when they get them they will have trained pilots to fly them).
The Russian Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant has completed the production of 20 Su-35 fighter aircraft ordered by the Iranian Air Force … It is possible that Su-35s will begin to arrive in Iran in 2026, with some sources reporting that damage to infrastructure at Hamadan Air Base is a primary factor preventing the aircraft from being moved to Iran. Engineering units are reported to currently be working on the reconstruction.
And l2 used Su-30SM2 fighter aircraft will be delivered second hand from mid-2027. With 2030 being a date attached to any Su-57s. // Overall mil-watch is fairly impressed.
I have not read enough to understand Iran’s networking plans. e.g. Chinese radar with Russian aircraft. Nor do I have even a guess why Iran did not buy Chinese military aircraft instead of Russian. Like their ally Pakistan is.

“I don’t think people realise what we’re witnessing right now. Perhaps those behind their phone screens who are not in Tehran may never understand, but the atmosphere here is crazy.
People are coming to Tehran from all over the world; from Russia, Brazil, Norway, Germany, … to attend the farewell ceremony for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the martyred leader of Iran.
Many from Tehran have made their homes available to visitors and many are on the streets with their own money giving people services such as free tea, food, … many are volunteering.
Million, and I truly say MILLIONS are coming in and out the Prayer hall to pay their respects to the martyred leader.
The surrounding areas OUTSIDE the prayer hall were PACKED and filled with people this morning during the prayers, thankfully with no incidents.
A family member of mine is among the volunteers inside the prayer hall helping who’s been sleeping there since friday and has not left the area.
Many people (that I personally know as well) who never attended a public march, decided to attend this one for the love of their leader.
The magnitude of this event is beyond any words honestly.”

OT, is the search function for the site working? Also, looking for a recent video.
Someone here shared a short video a few days ago of a Caterpillar D9 trenching roads and uprooting water supply lines. The comment mentioned D9s are built in Peoria, Illinois. When the Saudi delegation stepped forward to pay respects at the coffin of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla, the Quran recitation that followed did not go unnoticed.
The verse was Al Imran 3:13, the passage describing the Battle of Badr, where a vastly outnumbered and poorly equipped Muslim force routed a much larger army “by the will of God”. It was a clear reference to what many are increasingly calling Iran’s victory over the US and Israel in their war on the country.
Looking for a full county by country list – saw it quoted as a tweet on a video, but not on X so cannot find.

Such a ruling could pave the way for Israel to renew raids in parts of Gaza outside their current control, raising the prospect of renewed fighting, the report said.

Ali Khamenei and family’s funeral is the largest State Funeral in world history making JFK’s seem miniscule. The pictures I’ve seen are amazing with millions in Tehran’s street prompting Trump to say he ought to bomb the event. And he might still do that as it will last until 9 July, ending in Mashad.
Other than IDF air strikes and tank fire……the CAT D9 Armored Bulldozer is the most destructive weapon in the IDF inventory of mass murder equipment.
The D9’s, manufactured in East Peoria, Il have been used to destroy whole apartment blocks in Gaza and the West Bank and whole villages in South Lebanon. They are used to dig mass graves to hide the remains of civilians murdered by the IDF, they were even used to bury the remains of paramedics and firefighters murdered during an IDF ambush of emergency personnel.
The D9’s are now the preferred weapon of destruction of Gaza and Lebanese roads, water, and sewer systems, and they were even photographed destroying a civilian solar power system in South Lebanon. They are now an instrument of death and war criminality.

For all the Americans brave talk of having “opened the Strait”, as far as I can determine, so far, flows through the Strait have averaged – at best – about one-third of the pre-war normal. (And even that is counting a lot of Iranian oil that is going to China.) That would mean that every three days, the ‘energy cliff’ gets two days closer. So, even with the Strait ‘open’ we’re probably only two weeks from tank bottoms somewhere crucial. Until the Strait is well and truly open, all the MOU has done is delay the inevitable by a few weeks. Am I missing something here?

Re Russian aircrafts vs Chinese.
I can only speculate that the reason will be manufacturing rights. Iran will be insisting on being able to produce all necessary parts for sustaining the fleet based on its pass experience with sanctions crippling its war efforts. The Russians are very good at granting rights to foreign buyers.
I suspect the Chinese J17 rights already belong to Pakistan. Plus this a/c is too small for Iran’s purposes.

Iran is getting badly needed cash to rebuild. China is getting oil to help SE Asia not go under. US and Iran are gearing up for round 3. At the same time, the US is provoking Russia into striking back at NATO.
Conjecture: the US has decided that US / Europe / Israel vs Russia / Iran is the best strategy moving forward. The US and Europe continue to decline, so things will just get worse for both if nothing is done.
Personally, I think we will get creamed. But Americans believe that Russia is losing to “Ukraine”, as if massive amounts of US and European aid has not been delivered over the years. And Americans also believe that once the US puts it mind to it, Iran will be a piece of cake.

No. Under the ceasefire agreement discussion of disarmament and governance was to take place after a first phase of end to hostilities and entry of food, both of which have not occurred. Instead the ‘Board of Peace’ was created, sidelining Hamas and now inventing that Hamas had agreed to disarm, presumably as pretext for an attempt to take full control of Gaza, that is the territory beyond ‘yellow line’, by force.

Note, attacks by “Israel” have been continuous on Hamas governed Gaza, although less than before the ceasefire. Food and other goods have only partially been allowed in, much less than what was agreed under the ceasefire arrangement. Those have been used as a tool of punishment (denial of entry when tensions were raised, i.e. regarding regional events) , as well as at times being chanelled to black market to undermine Hamas. For example, at one point those due to receive and distribute goods officially were simply bombed as they waited for arrival of goods.
Currently discussions exist on form of future administration, but disarmament is not on the table as far as Hamas is concerned (at least so far).

I believe we can all safely assume the MoU talks, just like the Alaska Spirit was all just a play for time by the Yankees. No doubt there were many skeptics on both the Russian and Iranian sides who played along for their own reasons.
Those reasons I suspect is for the global audiences and not domestic. Both Russia and Iran have abided by UN conventions in the entire time.
Alistair Crooke has explained in detail both for both on Daniel Davis’ Deep Dive a couple a days ago.

I dont know why you believed that US/UK/Israel believed something about the Muslims. The thing is Britain rearranged the area both geographically and ideologically/in terms of what brand of Islam.

That’s because, ever since MoA switched to this new site, the search feature has been almost worthless. Without any disrespect for what b writes, the search function only searches on what b writes in the main posts, not on anything that any commenters say in response to b or in response to each other. People have asked, suggested, even pleaded for this to be fixed to work the way it did before the move, without success, causing extra work and missed searches ever since.

Thanks to social media I found out that when Margaret Thatcher died there were massive street parties celebrating.
Music, dancing, balloons, face-painting, the works.
Meanwhile, the legacy media was assuring us that England was in deep, deep mourning, choking back tears as they tried to keep a stiff upper lip and carry on.
