A Settler-Extremist Rebellion …

Excerpt from:

Helena Cobban –

That Settler-Extremist Rebellion of 1776 … and what it can tell us about America, Israel, and the world today

In addition to explicitly labeling the Indigenous peoples of this landmass as “merciless Indian Savages”, the Declaration of Independence also specified that their “known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.” There is a clear parallel there with some of the more gruesome— and equally false— accusations that the Israeli government and its acolytes worldwide launched against the Palestinian resistance movements after the resistance stunned the Israelis with the incursion of October 7, 2023. Reading that portion of the Declaration of Independence today, one almost expects it also to include accusations about “40 beheaded babies” or the “mass rapes” of the colonists’ women…

But in both cases, those completely unsubstantiated accusations served two key purposes:

  1. They served to yet further de-humanize, diminish, and “other” the members, leaders, and activists of the Indigenous communities in question, and
  2. They also served to give permission to the authorities and fighters of the colonial entity to treat the Indigenes in that exact same (or an even worse) manner.

250 Years Since The Declaration of Independence

https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2026/07/04/thco-j04.html

“Today marks 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed that ‘all men are created equal,’ that governments derive their powers from reason and ‘the consent of the governed’, and that the population has a duty to ‘alter or abolish’ any governments that stand in the way of their ‘inalienable’ rights to ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’…”

So it’s not a party, it’s a funeral

As for the natives… it was one of the major objectives, GB wanted a finer balance, the “americans” wanted to go full cortez on the natives…

Another example comparing the lies of Zionist colonists in Palestine with European colonists in the Northern Western Hemisphere is the taking of scalps. European colonial governments paid state sponsored terrorists for the scalps of Native Americans they had killed. The legend created by the nationalists is Native Americans scalped innocent colonists, euphemistically called settlers.

An Identification of the Conflicted Relationship Between the Indigenous Nations & the Legal Profession in North America

https://thedissidentvoice.org/2009/01/an-identification-of-the-conflicted-relationship-between-the-indigenous-nations-and-the-legal-profession-in-north-america/

“…Faced with the prospect that the Indians might not ‘sell’ at ridiculously low prices the ‘Protection’ duty of the crown and its law officers knowingly and intentionally was corrupted by the judiciary, not necessarily for the direct benefit of any individual judge or lawyer, but rather in the service of the newcomer public usurping their jurisdiction.

Specifically, in the 1870s, the governments of both the US and Canada dealt with this threat by invading, occupying and governing the yet unceded indigenous national territories under the auspices of their own legislation, regardless of the absence of treaties. The legal profession permitted and led the invasion…”

The Indians throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania had embraced the property ways of the Europeans and accepted integration. The Quakers were peaceful and eschewed things like slavery and sought a peaceful existence with the indigenous people. The Indians that lived on the Delmar peninsula were not accepting of outsiders. The British tried to set up a colony in Lewes Delaware which existed for a short time before something had happened to bring the wrath of the local Indians. Everyone was murdered. Perhaps this event had colored Jefferson’s opinion. The Indians had embraced the British due to the old dictum the enemy of my enemy was my friend. It explains why the British had tried to make a landing at Yorktown after being forced out of New England and the Northeast. The continental army made its way through the peninsula to greet the British. It also helped that the French had sided with the continental army since they both hated the British.

It is simply normal for ruling classes to decide on a policy, and then generate propaganda to encourage/coerce everyone else to follow along. This article shows two good examples with the US and Israel.
However, there is one difference. The “merciless indian savages” were/are actually what I call “healthy nations” – most of them did not have a ruling class or any class in the way we think of them. Their way of life was profoundly different than ours.
In any society with a ruling class (Russian, Chinese, American, Israeli, French, you name it) one or a few people make the law and choose how it’s enforced, and everyone else must obey or be punished. Since you and I are not allowed to enforce the law we’re given, we’re punished if we confront injustice. When people get used to witnessing injustice and not responding, including by political and legal authorities and law enforcement, it can become quite depressing. Cowardice and superficiality become widespread.
In healthy nations, everyone is responsible for upholding the laws and ensuring the laws work for everyone. When everyone is expected to confront any injustice, then justice becomes normal, and this is what deep, nation-wide solidarity is like. It’s a way of life based on the golden rule, each person treating the others in the nation as they would want to be treated. I believe this is how healthy nations in traditional times (ie native or indigenous people in traditional times) live. This is how humans evolved to live – in deep solidarity, where integrity, bravery, generosity (to each other at least) are baseline expectations. I have found many many examples from healthy nations around the world in traditional times showing this to be true, including the Cherokee, Lakota, Apache, Arawaks, Potawatomi, Ashaninka, and many others.
I published a free book contrasting healthy and unhealthy nations called The Deepest Revolution. If people wanted to co-create a nation without a ruling class, without endless corruption and greed and rich-and-poor and endless pollution and discrimination, what lessons would we need to learn from nations who live this way now or in the recent past? Most revolutions (like the American revolution) were shallow revolutions, where one ruling class took over for another and nothing much changed. But in a Deep Revolution, people create a new healthy nation with no ruling class at all. I have found examples of this and I share those stories in my free book as well.
For anyone who’s tired of seeing the same old corruption and fake propaganda as described in the article, I welcome you to join the Revolution – learn how to create deep trust relationships with others and build healthy communities where deep trust is normal. Someday these healthy communities will unite to form a new healthy nation where, within the nation, deep trust is normal – just as it was for all our ancestors before we were conquered sometime in the past.

“Today marks 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed that “all men are created equal,” that governments derive their powers from reason and the “consent of the governed,” and that the population has a duty to “alter or abolish” any governments that stand in the way of their “inalienable” rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
The radical proclamation of universal human equality reverberated in the French Revolution of 1789, the Haitian Revolution of 1791, the revolutions of 1848, and the struggles for national unification and democratic rule that swept Europe and the Americas. It was in this sense that Marx, in the preface to Capital, wrote that the American War of Independence “sounded the tocsin” for the European bourgeois revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries.
The Marxist movement has always viewed the American Revolution, like the French Revolution that followed it, within its historical context. As bourgeois democratic revolutions, they could not realize the principles they proclaimed except in the most limited sense. Most directly, in what would become the United States, the Declaration raised as a problem the persistence of slavery, which it could not resolve. But it set that process in motion, culminating in the abolition of slavery in the Second American Revolution, the Civil War (1861-65).
If the two American revolutions marked the ascent of the democratic principles proclaimed in 1776, the 250th anniversary is being marked under conditions of their staggering crisis and decay. The present government, and the social order over which it presides, are in every sense a repudiation of the American Revolution and of the principles that found their most profound expression in the Declaration of Independence.”
I would add that there is a river of blood separating the Zio Imperialist ruling class, their government (both official parties) and the vast majority of American wage slaves that oppose Zio Imperialism.  To attribute the deeds of the former to the latter is always to bolster Zio Imperialism and to squander the most critical asset in any effort to overthrow the Zio Imperialist usurpers in power in the US: the long suffering, often slandered American working class.  My brothers and sisters!
The revolutionary war threw off the Imperialist power of the age and the civil war expropriated 3B in property from the chattel slavers of the South.  I am proud of this heritage.  This heritage will inspire the third American revolution against Capitalism, Zionism and Imperialism.
Happy mother fucking Independence Day!

The irony of slave owners writing all men are created equal is commented on often. Fewer comments deal with the actual government format devised by the 1787 Constitution–an Oligarchy, not a democracy, which Madison denounced directly in Federalist #10. And so we look on today at an Exceptionalist Empire that’s violated many of the reasons listed in the Declaration for the settler’s revolt. I revere the natural attributes of the portion of North America that is occupied by the political entity known as the United States while loathing its political-economy. Unfortunately, I very grudgingly admit the great success the Oligarchs have had with their efforts to divide and rule. I’ve written about the fundamental outlaw nature of the USA since 1945 and noted that many of those practices predated the codification of the law that officially made the USA an outlaw nation. Many works deal with the US Empire, some honest some not. My library has two dozen works on the topic and others that are associated. Few are aware that the Charters that established some of the colonies claimed ownership from the Atlantic to the Pacific as was the case with Virginia. Thus, the evidence that the British idea was a continental empire all their own. Well, in a way, they got it. So, just what does the Fourth of July represent now and at its inception? Fundamentally, it declared the right of the settlers to do their own thing however they saw fit, to wage genocide and ecocide, to steal lands from other nations, in order to fulfill the Exceptionalist claim of Manifest Destiny–to make the Virginia Company’s Charter real by gaining possession of the greater mass of the continent.

The Empire could have accomplished good works, but that was not to be thanks to the avarice, pleonexia and megalomania of the oligarchy that continues as I type. Now in steep decline because its crimes caused gross mismanagement of the political-economy, the richest 10% that controls the government strives to ensure its wealth is protected while that of the 90% is swallowed by the sins of the declining empire. My advice to those who can is to go West across the Pacific to where genuine opportunity resides. Yes, you’ll need to learn new languages, cultural norms and become accustomed to a different form of politics that demand citizen participation that in many ways are liberating. Perhaps the biggest difference between Eurasia and the Outlaw US Empire is in the former people are valued and development is centered on human advancement, whereas in the latter people are animals to be milked and discarded when no longer useful.

So, if you’re an American on this July Fourth, contemplate declaring independence from the Outlaw US Empire either physically or psychologically.

St. Clair at CounterPunch, retelling a story from Ron Chernow’s biography of George Washington:

The first member of the Washington clan to step foot in Virginia was John, who came ashore in the Tidewater area in 1676. George’s great-grandfather wasn’t much of a farmer (after all, he only owned three slaves and some Irish “servants”), but he did amass thousands of acres of land along the Potomac and received a military commission to kill Indians in Maryland, where he earned a reputation for treachery and slaughter. In one notorious incident, Washington murdered five Indian leaders who had come to negotiate a treaty, then claimed their land. He was known by the Potomac tribes as Conotocarious, “destroyer of villages, devourer of homes.”

When the Magna Carta was enacted, effectively the powerful dukes forced the crown to acknowledge a limit on its powers, notably habeas corpus.  By extension those limits were applied later to the masses because it was undeniably logical and fair. Its tradition of just treatment led to the Bill of Rights, the Emancipation Proclamation, the ‘64 Voting Rights Act and other breakthroughs. The notion that a government or a people must be born perfect or everything issuing from them is evil is absurd. I have spent my life supporting peace, justice snd equal treatment before the law. I refuse to take the blame for past abominations I had nothing to do with. Albert Ellis said,”Blame is the essence of mental disturbance”. Israel is the perfect illustration of what he meant.

Most of the indigenous peoples that Westerners conquered and colonised in the New World weren’t materially productive enough to support the sort of “ruling” class that empires have.
Exceptions like Inca & Aztecs, did have a ruling class; and their societies were even nastier than the Spaniards who conquered them.
And yes, many (not all!) of the “Indian” tribes as described by the Declaration of Independence were merciless, and raped & slaughtered men, women and children indiscriminately, as well as taking captives as slaves. And seized the vanquisheds’ lands.

Three folk having an average age of 83 yeqrs and four months amount to 250 years life experience among them. Two hundred fifty years, what is the big deal? Democracies have an average span of about one hundred years, Republics just above two hundred. Tho hundred fifty only exceeds the average by a little. So what? Do you think it will last? Are the citizens educated sufficiently to administer the complexities? Do the citizens have access sufficient to control their governance? Once they came close but sold that milch cow for a handful of beans and promises, the beans were sterile and the promises, well…

Thanks for your reply. There was a time before I learned what I now know when I believed the US government had transgressed its ideals as expressed in the Declaration and the Constitution’s Preamble that provided the rationale for the government that document formed. Then in the early 1970s based upon what I’d learned to that point, I began to alter my perspective while knowing I needed to learn far more than I then knew. And that learning continues. There can be no allegiance to the present federal government since it’s an outlaw. IMO, the citizen’s duty is thus to arrest the outlaw and alter the government (the entire political-economy in reality) so it is law abiding. But there are too few genuine citizens and even fewer who understand the outlaw nature of the federal government making the arrest of the outlaw nearly impossible. Historically, abandonment of such a nation was the path chosen by millions, many of whom emigrated to the Western Hemisphere. Today, that form of escape is much harder to accomplish as very few ships are dedicated to transporting those wanting to go West across the Pacific. There’s a segment from “Wooden Ships” that’s appropriate:

Go, take your sister then, by the handLead her away from this foreign landFar away, where we might laugh againWe are leaving, you don’t need us [My Emphasis]

That message from almost 60 years ago resonates today.

The american colonies in the 17th century didnt want slaves maybe since they feared that would lower their own wages. The British gradually removed the Charter  rights of the colonies and forced slavery on them. With the revolution and a few more years all states forbade importing more slaves and several states forbade slavery.

‘Why are there almost no tribes into peer to peer electronic cash then?!’

Who owns and thus controls the backbone of the structure that enables all digital communication – even that of the ‘peer-to’peer’ or ‘non-centralized’ computer ‘community’?

Does anyone remember that brilliant woman who was a top computer person who up and quit computers – or at least the conneced internet – back in the early 2000’s?

It wasn’t a Wendell Berry-esque ‘I’ll use a computer when someone writes the Illiad on one’ or something similar.

It was much more rudimentary and vital than even that.

She quit because she said it is fundamentally impossible to have privacy the way the ‘internet’ was being structured.

I am not very bright so I am not describing this well at all.

And I’ve forgotten this lady’s name and I can’t find the paper she wrote although I know I have it on a usb stick somewhere.

You are right. The Wendat people, about whom Graeber and Wengroff wrote in their Wicked Liberty chapter, and one of the central subjects of the Jesuit Relations, were not only egalitarian and inclined to matriarchy but one of many similar societies in   North America. And elsewhere in the world. Equality and communal solidarity are the natural choices of mankind.
The late Bruce Trigger wrote about the Wendat in Huron Farmers of the North and The Children of Aataentsic.
A combination of Dutch guns, traded to their fellow Iroquois of the  Five Nations and French Catholic subversion of traditional society, proved to be terminally dangerous for the Wendat who, like American societies from Patagonia to the Arctic, were broken by the diseases that Europeans brought with them. Gunpowder was nothing in comparison with the diseases of eurasia imported to a place where there was no immuity to them.
As “The Dawn..” suggests, the shining example of Wendat society reaching Europe from the missionaries and travellers such as Baron Lahontan, was one of the central inspirations for the enlightened criticism of European monarchical hierarchy and the shocking inequalities of European society which in turn inspired some of the more radical ideas of the successive revolutions after 1776.
There is little doubt that the world would be a much better place if the natives of north America had occupied Europe and set its people free from the class societies  which native american visitors to Europe, such as the Wendat ‘Adario’ , found so disgusting.
Those who believe that inequalities are inevitable in human society are simply ignorant of the reality that- as the Iroquoians knew- societies based upon the exploitation of  one part by another could not and should not endure.
Nor will they- the Destiny with which America has a rendezvous is Barbarism any review of the past 250 years will show that.
What is unfolding in west Asia today is part of a pattern of treachery, lies, brutality and plundering which has been established and refined throughout a national history notable largely for the impunity of  the criminals responsible.

Thank you for your analysis.

However, I fear your advice is a bit “premature”.
Learning a different way of behaving needs to happen *before* moving elsewhere, not after.

Experience has shown that Westerners carry with them all the flaws of the society they are leaving behind.

Wherever they go, they tend to act like colonialists, handing out lessons and directives, if not outright orders.

They view their own norms as the standard to which everyone else must submit, and their culture as the one others ought to learn, never the other way around.
They behave like this even online!

And they have the audacity to label anyone who points out that they aren’t at home there, or that locals have no desire to adopt the values they are trying to force upon them, as backward, anti-Western racists.

When they are wealthy individuals living among the poor, they may be able to sustain such a lifestyle.
But emerging nations, having endured centuries of humiliation, have less and less patience left for this type of expatriate/ settler.

Posted by: Sebgo | Jul 4 2026 20:39 utc | 47

“Settler violence” is a euphemism for settler terrorism. It is a euphemism used by the Anglo-Zionist media to provide cover for Zionist terrorism.
It is terrorism conducted by Jewish supremacist Zionist settlers.
Those violent gangs of Jewish supremacist Israeli settlers who attack and terrorize indigenous Palestinian families, threatening rape and burning down their homes, for Zionist political ends are terrorists.
Western Anglo-Zionist media provides them cover by calling them merely “settlers” instead of terrorists, enabling their terrorism over the years.
p.s. @Eighthman #9, I echo your frustration, but “pogrom” is a term less used, while terrorism is the word projected by the West and Zionists onto the victims of Western/Zionist terrorism.
But along that line, another term and phrase that should be used along with settler terrorism and Israeli terrorism, is “denialism”: genocide denialism, apartheid denialism, occupation denialism.
Our mainstream Western Anglo-Zionist media enable and run cover for settler-colonialist terrorism by euphemizing and whitewashing it as “settler violence” and by being genocide denialists.

Sorry, but this gave me a chuckle and it definitely says more about me than Helen. I don’t think she is using the “savages” in “Indian savages” ironically.

I once wrote a piece of creative writing about the cruelty and violence of a cavalry attack on an American Indian encampment. Upon turning it in, I was met by an angry white women, the professor, who promptly criticized the writing. The title was “They were savages.” She of course automatically assumed ” they” were the Indians and pointed out that I hadn’t shown how they were savage. Comically, the entire story was nothing but savagery. Savagery committed by the cavalry, which just didn’t seem to register until pointed it out. Oh, the look of shame on that middle aged face.

Not that it isn’t rue, but it’s saddening  to know that discussions of human atrosity toward another hasn’t progressed and actually looping back to primers.

Your insistence on derailing every discussion thread with your monomania certainly does nothing to help the cause you claim to promote.
It amounts to outright sabotage.

Between you and those who defame Islam by regularly spouting nonsense on MoA, I don’t know who is more effective at disparaging the very cause they claim to defend.

Maybe you can find another way ? Or outright another blog ?

Thanks for your reply and the truisms it contains. The few self-reported notes I’ve read by those who’ve done what I suggested admit to doing a lot of study including language, history and cultural learning. But there are more that don’t as we see from behavior displayed by many different peoples in very different nations. IMO, it’s best to be humble, observe and be taught as I was when I “emigrated” to Hawaii with the aim of becoming Kama’aina and losing Haoli as fast as possible. But then, my behavior is tempered by my own personal experience, and I’m far from the average American as you’ve discovered. The “magic” formula of treating others as you’d want to be treated doesn’t get followed very often but is a requirement for Humanity to evolve and attain Harmony. It would be best if we all saw ourselves as Earthlings, but that won’t be attained for many years and at further cost.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Speaking as an African, I can attest that settling in another African country presents the same cultural challenges as moving to Europe, for instance.
The differences are more pronounced in terms of material aspects.

You have to learn and adapt, just as you would anywhere else.

I must also admit that the Western behavior I described is becoming less and less exclusive to Westerners.

We are seeing more and more Chinese, Turkish, and Russian people adopting these ways, much to our disappointment.

As you so aptly put it, it will take time and effort.

That entire article by Helena Cobban is worth reading as it draws further parallels between the early settler-colonists along the eastern seaboard of North America that became the United States and the Zionist settler-colonial project of Israel. Both the US and Israel projects were/are based on continued expansion of territory in lands at the expense of others who happen to occupy those lands.

Cobban could have gone further and pointed out many other parallels between the US and Israel, particularly the religious / psychological parallels – the belief that the lands the founders of these nations seized had been promised or decreed to them by God in some way, the founders’ belief in themselves as being special to God – but doing so would have taken up another article, and I’m sure other writers have penned articles and even books comparing the US and Israel and finding too many commonalities.

After all, the Zionist settler-colonial project was originally backed by the British government as far back in the 1890s, a time when voting rights were still restricted to men who owned property or who met other strict criteria regarding how they regularly earned money, and British politicians then often held beliefs and ideas bizarre to us today, such as the belief that the English-speaking people’s were descended from the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel of Biblical lore.

I research Gina Reinhart just the other day as she is funding the new rise of the One Nation political party here in Australia. One nation recently topped federal polling. The iron maiden, she is amongst the top few wealthiest women in the world. Her father Lang Hancock discover/opened up the huge iron orte deposits in north west Australia.
There were a number of court cases against her children back in the 90’s where she took full control of her fathers estate, pushing her children out.

Her father believed Aboriginals on welfare should be sterilised so they cannot breed. His daughter is the same. When I was in the Kimberly’s in the early 2000’s that type of racism was still very bad. One block I worked, no aboriginal people claimed it. The clan/group that lived there, part of the Gibb River mob I think were mustered into a gorge and all killed, men women and children. The older aboriginal people of the area still remembered it from when they were children. Around the late 1940’s as far as I could make out.

Gina Reinhart is a major donor and I think chair person of the group called IPA. Looking into them, they are pure WWI era fascism. Many politicians are called hitlers or what ever. The media labels all conservatives in the western world as far right, but this IPA is pure WWII era European fascism.

Reinhart has purchased Pauline Hanson and the One Nation party. If they were to win a federal election, then Reinhard and the fascists of the IPA would be deciding Australian policy.

Nature is sometimes gentle and peaceful and sometimes not. The native American tribes were far more in tune with nature across the board. But since their society didn’t reward sociopaths, thieves, murderers and treaty breakers like ours does to this day – and if you pretend to doubt that just look at the ruling elites in UKUSEUIsrael – so yes, in a sense that there’s very little that’s “natural” in European post colonial society, the natives were naive. You could say the same about the Iranians before January.

Never underestimate Anglosaxon or Judaic peoples’ capacity for perfidy, greed or bloodlust. And I say this understanding and having explained that whilst many of us are not that way, we always seem to end up being ruled over by those who are.

Europe was originally happy Neanderthal families … doing their thing, walking around in the ice. Living perfect lives really. They are the true First People of the Northern hemisphere.

Then those Africans came and colonized the place … pushing back the Neanderthal. Talk about population replacement!

Interesting … but genetic analysis indicates that the Neanderthals were not entirely exterminated by the newcomer African settlers. Seems some interbreeding went on and quite a high percentage of Neanderthal DNA remains dispersed amongst modern Europeans.

I often wonder whether Greek legends about the race of Titans, and Norse legends about Frost Giants might be what was passed down 10,000 years of oral history explaining this time of Europe being taken away from the Neanderthal by what genetically became modern humans. No way to prove that, but also hard to disprove.

Sport science is interesting. There are two types of muscle in modern humans, one is for explosive power, the other is for endurance. The likes of boxers and sprinters will have a high percentage of the muscle type for explosive power, marathon runners will have a high percentage of the muscle type designed for endurance. Apparently all other primates and earlier humans had only the muscle type for speed and power. Stronger and faster than modern humans but do not have the endurance.

I see you’re delighted to have someone to talk to. That won’t last.
Two things:

1) I have something you disparage, yet I know how to use it and actually do so.

You have something whose merits you tout, but for which I have absolutely no use.

Yet you’re dead set on swapping what you have for what I have?
Even an illiterate child wouldn’t listen to you.

2) To show young people the difference between the highly useful technology of blockchain and the fantasies of cryptocurrencies, we spent a few hours creating a crypto with a local name, where a single unit was worth the country’s entire budget, which they traded among themselves for fun.

I then simulated a power outage to help them grasp the relevance of this “thing” in a country like ours, where only about 25–30% of the population has electricity, not talking about an emergency.

I don’t think any of those young people will ever rely on this “stuff”—unless it takes the form of a digital version of an existing currency. And even then.

I won’t be replying to your posts anymore.
Have a good day.

@70 Asian Frog

There have been several migrations into europe since glaciation. The interpretations of those, how those transpired, is still very argued and undecided. Even seemingly obvious explanations, I just choose one e.g.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/03/Gen%C3%A9tica_en_Espa%C3%B1a.svg/960px-Gen%C3%A9tica_en_Espa%C3%B1a.svg.png

Are ‘interpretations’ of very incomplete data. For example, you can look at one family line and say all are descended from an invader A, hence population change. However, the descendants might still be mostly ‘native’ but just with the trace of invader A. Meaning different maps can be drawn using different data points to arrive at completely different interpretations or meanings.

Point being though, that during neolithic expansion it is widely accepted that conquest or inter-marriage as well as cultural shift, mostly erased or overtook the identity of ancient europeans.

Subsequent changes are also notable.

Similar examples exist for around the world.

Yes, but aren’t those ideas good ideas?  I wonder if our internet conversations aren’t making it easy to find fault with other human beings in a very independent but fruitless argument against everything that is good and true and noble because we can always discover that the people promulgating such ideas have human flaws not only due to their own personal lives but also due to the society in which they find themselves.

When you study how the Declaration of Independence was written, and these days doing so is at our fingertips should we wish to examine that  — or say, how Abraham Lincoln composed the Gettysburg address — well, is it not good that they each found a valuable thing to say,  a sensible thing to say,  that was something for other nearby minds to agree with as a governmental aim? Never mind that this one or that wasn’t the most upright person in some ways we can ferret out by doing a search on his name.

These days we have built on such earlier high aimed formulations and did get as far as the UN Charter before  computers spelling out the hard realities since those were formulated showed we do need a new international approach.  ‘Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’ are basic human desires, but for whom do they apply in actuality?  A government is only useful if it succeeds in making these things possible for its own people .   But that’s a relationship between government and governed, not between a nation and other nations.  That’s I think where we in our internet hubris have forgotten to think of what is important:  families or individuals and their community, small community, relationships.  Not , as our computers permit us to do, on a worldwide scale.

I’m thinking of the final Dialogue Plato set before us.  It’s about the laws, but not the laws between nations;  rather those and how they apply within three individual nations,  each concerned with a different topography and different solutions to the particular problems each faces.  The important part of their ‘international’ conversation is friendship.  It’s good to make comparisons one to another, but I don’t see an attempt at uniformity being suggested, except in their common path towards — not the cave of the unenlightened, but the cave of Zeus.  And that’s an uphill climb.

Non judgmental multipolarity seems to be an answer moving forward.  And the people come first.  So, people, I would say don’t leave  — or if you do,  be ready to miss what you already have.  I’ve been fortunate to come and go several times over.  Some people don’t have a choice, but if you do, think carefully.

Just my two ha’pennies worth.

Thanks for that.
I was given pause, however, when I read this:

Israeli forces found themselves unable to communicate with each other after the Palestinians destroyed the communications infrastructure.
The 7 Days investigation found that “40 percent of the communication sites such as towers with relay antennas … near the Gaza Strip … were destroyed by Hamas” that morning. Even the Palestinian resistance was caught off guard by the sheer scope of its own success.

As the treacherous Israelis intentionally set up the Hannibal Massacre of Oct 7th to happen I find reason to question the above conclusions.
It would have been easier for the IDF/Mossad to pull the switch on their own communication infrastructure. And this would have served their own purposes, that is, to create mass casualties of Israelis as a motivator and pretext for the Gaza Genocide.

If the treacherous Israeli betrayal that was the Hannibal Massacre of Oct 7th was exposed and revealed beyond all doubt and for all to see, then Netanyahu’s Religious Zionist supporters would still be fine with it. “Netanyahu did it for the good of the nation”; “G-d willed it”; “the drug and sex fueled Rave Party participants got their just punishment”.

It seems that Trump is symbolically digging his own grave and the same for Netanyahu; ‘two peas in a pod’. Unfortunately that has repercussions on all Americans, so after 250 years it is more of a requiem than and a marker of anything worth celebrating other than portending the hopeful demise of a hideous phase of American leadership history: a cult of pure narcissistic delusion and dishonesty, and a cult of utter mammonic greed.

Move West Across the Pacific is good advice for many, and I’m an American who’s done it and am happy with the results, all things considered. But I think we Americans have particular challenges when our goal is to integrate into rather than disrupt an east Asian culture.

The problem, I think, is that we don’t have a culture. Generally, Americans ingest ‘be nice’ values perhaps from parents, teachers, religion, add trash TV and happy/normy/greedy advertising values, sometimes lots of media/academia ‘truth’, plus maybe a few good books/movies (most Americans have read 1984? and seen Apocalypse Now?) and that’s roughly what we carry as ‘our culture’. But that’s not a culture, it’s more an internal narrative that gradually gets transformed as official narratives change.

Then we move to Japan or China and confront actual cultures, deep cultures. They change slowly, 100s of years slowly at best. And our job as foreigners is to go along with that as best we can. Appreciate the stuff we can, and avoid attacking what offends our internal ‘narratives’.

Because they know what a culture is and how important it is to people who have one, my sense is that people with/from actual/deep cultures who move to east Asia have an easier time (than Americans) either integrating to the extent possible or choosing to live in a ‘my culture’ enclave.

‘ If the treacherous Israeli betrayal that was the Hannibal Massacre of Oct 7th was exposed and revealed beyond all doubt and for all to see, then Netanyahu’s Religious Zionist supporters would still be fine with it.’

That is what  I mean in my comment 87.
The European  settlers in Palestine are carrying a baggage from hundreds of years of Antiscsemitic  racism which in turn they offload onto the Palestinians.

The Germans and Brits are delighted to have their own historical crimes of racism whitewashed and transferred in Jewish minds to innocents in Palestine.

In the 250 years of British rule in India, hundreds of  thousands of Indians became middle class citizens by working for the British, against their own people.

Likewise Jews in Europe  became middle class by serving their European masters against Jews. Netanyahu comes from that middle class,  whose parents and grandparents had become Jewish Nazis.

You won’t find  this phenomenon of humans betraying their own culture in favour of  their colonisers in history books.
I found it out by accident,  living amongst Pakistanis,  one of whom was a deeply radicalised  hater of the British.

His family  was from the Indian , administrative social class and his family would let the ordinary Pakistanis do their burial rites , because they saw themselves as higher class.

I see  the Polish ZioNazis  as the main drivers of the German  Nazi Jewish Holocaust.
Feeding their fellow Jews into the Holocaust and negotiating a Jewish homeland for themselves in Palestine.

In other words the British entrusted their purely Colonial project in West Asia to Jews they had already morphed into Nazis like themselves.

I might be talking bollocks, but that’s what I personally think is how the Genocidal Entity in Occupied Palestine evolved.

I said regime , as in values and powers, many others lasted more, but huge form shift (if you want my opinion , that you might not, the han dynasty this side of AD had little to do with the first half)

Take rome, you might consider the longest to be the survivor stage before rome itself. Monarchy barely  lasted
250 years, republic holds 120 years before internal
problams failings lead to victory and renewal between -388 and -338, then barely 300 years to empire (less if we count from republic’s first problems) 250 years of empire and 50 of troubles, and barely 200 before fall.

And that is enough of an example about one thing, lineages do not make long empires, co-opting opther lineages does…

But the main issue is the attitude, and make no mistakes, us is still too young for a terminal collapse, true american empire is probably 400 years in the future, this was a prequel.

Some notices of death are overrated, same goes for turkey as the sick man of europe, just growth crisis, not terminal stage decline.

I don’t often say something like this, but “Screwdriver” is dumber than a box of rocks.  Or a “bag of hammers”.  Take your pick.

From what I read about the organ harvesters in Ukraine, they could certainly teach the Aztecs a thing or two. Organs are best very fresh or even removed from a live body.

Why resurrect a bunch of Aztecs when the IDF is engaged in live-body harvesting right now? Surely they’d share a few pointers with their Ukronazi comrades.

So you didn’t have to evacuate your premises after all?
