War On Iran: – U.S. Provocation Towards Further Escalation

The war on Iran continues to escalate.

Yesterday a U.S. Apache helicopter went down in the Strait of Hormuz near the coast of Oman. The pilots were saved. The U.S. at first did not claim any external influence for the incident. Only hours after it happened it claimed that an Iranian Shahid drone had hit the helicopter.

That claim is not plausible at all.

Shahid are point to point kamikaze drones. They get their target coordinates before they are launched. They are not radio controlled. They do not have the capability to maneuver against a moving target. They explode when they hit something.

Whatever happened to the downed helicopter it wasn’t a hit by a Shahid drone that took it down.

After the U.S. had suddenly claimed that Iran had caused the incident it announced to strike on Iran. Some 10 targets were bombed including radar, communication equipment and, in the port of Sirik, a desalination station.

Iran responded by firing some 20 missiles and drones against U.S. installations in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain.

Neither side has claimed casualties so far.

Today the U.S. hit an Indian vessel near the coast of Oman. One sailor was killed. India condemned the attack.

About an hour ago U.S. President Donald Trump announced more strikes against Iran.

In unconfirmed news Israel just mobilized some 280,000 reservists. Together with already mobilized forces that sums up to be near its full potential.

The situation is going to escalate. Tomorrow the region may well again be in a full fledged war.

“We will strike Iran today”

Posted by: Ornot | Jun 10 2026 17:08 utc | 4

The US can’t admit defeat without losing the image and narrative of omnipotence, a fundamental interest of a hegemon.
“Israel” can’t allow Iran to have escalation dominance and veto power over Israeli military thinking and action, eg. Lebanon.
The war will therefore continue.
But objective limits will assert themselves: US CPI is now over 4 percent, squeezing popular consumption and making government borrowing much more difficult. Trump’s polling numbers will continue to drop.
Armaments: Iran can go either hard or slow, but either way US stockpiles will deplete to critical levels.
Iran has destroyed the first ring of bases in the Gulf for Israeli defence. Note that it has now begun targeting the second layer in Jordan.
Thus, Israel’s defense in depth — i.e. the US basing system — is collapsing.
Finally, should Iran’s critical infrastructure be targeted, expect the further  destruction of the Gulf Arab oil and gas infrastructure, with major global ramifications.
Trump cannot fire his way out of these traps. This the Surrender Now or Die Later moment for the Empire and its apartheid colony.

While the conflict in Ukraine is bringing more death currently the Iran/ME conflict has the greater potential for human misery…….kinetic and economic.

If Trump starts bombing more civilian infrastructure the human deaths will go up and the ME shiekdoms will perish but I see the real threat being the climate/energy effects we are seeing that will effect food supplies and cause famine all over the globe.

Are we having fun yet?…../s
This is how changes to our form of social organization are made, kind of like the making of sausage.
Hopefully we will evolve from the top/bottom class structure instantiated by global private finance to a more public utility approach to global finance created and managed by sovereign nations w/o private finance and limitations on inheritance……basically making it so that oligarchs, or groupings of them cannot be allowed to grow to the size where they can control sovereign nations.

US bombs Iran’s water facilities: Why that’s so significant

‘Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said US strikes, which hit targets including Sirik, Jask, Minab, Qeshm Island and the port of Bandar Abbas, had caused major damage to a telecommunications tower in the town of Sirik and destroyed two water reservoirs there.

Iran’s West Asia News Agency (WANA) news outlet reported on Wednesday, citing “available reports”, that two concrete water storage reservoirs in the Bamani district in the Sirik County of Hormozgan Province, in southern Iran, 1,012km (629 miles) from the capital, Tehran, had been hit in the US attacks.’

If true that is really, really bad for Israel’s closest Arab ally the UAE.
The UAE has been pushing it with Iran, reportedly, the UAE itself has sent its own planes against Iran back in May.
The capital of UAE is Abu Dhabi. It is totally, 100%, dependent on desalination plants. There are three major desalination plants and some minor plants.
If Israel/US/UAE are going after Iran’s water supply then a tit for tat would spell death for the capital Abu Dhabi.

The latest rumors out of the negotiations is that “Iran may dilute its highly enriched uranium stockpile rather than destroying or handing it over”.

This is right where we were in the negotiations on Feb 26th, two days before Israel/US did a sneak attack and murder of Iran’s Ayatollah.
Israel attacked on Feb 28, 2026 because there had been a major breakthrough in nuclear talks between the US and Iran on Feb 26th.

[Ali Khamenai was assassinated on Feb 28, 2026]
According to Oman’s foreign minister Badr Al Busaidi, the mediator of the talks:

We have finished the day after significant progress in the negotiation between the United States and Iran. We will resume soon after consultation in the respective capitals. Discussions on a technical level will take place next week in Vienna. I am grateful to all concerned for their efforts: the negotiators, the IAEA, and our hosts the Swiss government.

And the mediator of the talks, Oman’s foreign minister Badr Al Busaidi, had much more to say the next day, Feb 27th, on CBS’ program, Face The Nation.

Read the whole thing.

MINISTER ALBUSAIDI: Because if the ultimate objective is to ensure forever that Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb, I think we have cracked that problem through these negotiations by agreeing a very important breakthrough that has never been achieved any time before. And I think if we can capture that and build on it, I think a deal is within our reach.

War itself is a crime. What’s the greater crime, winning a war or losing one? This is why the majority of Americans love war. They’ve a long history of winning them. Since Vietnam, they had trouble winning any. This is why some Americans have become anti war.

To pick and choose what is or isn’t a crime within a war, Queensbury Rules, is crazy. It’s all barbaric and criminal.

Only in the clear case of self defense, is there justification for fighting back.  In that case all resources must be used to end the war quickly. Self imposed limitations for prosecuting that self defense are a crime themself.

‘This escalation makes me extremely nervous and suspicious.
It appears that Isnotreal wants Iran to cross the ultimate red line so that the use of NUKES can be “justified”.’

Yes, I am extremely concerned about that as well. They are itching to use nukes, both the US and the Zionist entity that controls the US have nuclear plans for Iran. John Helmer slipped into one of his talks within the past month that ‘Israel’ has had nuke plans for Iran ‘for years’ and the same is obviously true of the US though one would be hard-pressed to determine the difference between the two.

US B2’s that can carry the nukes have been arriving in the UK.

I don’t know what the resistance can and cannot do and I cannot fight the war for them.

It is hard to understand as a layperson why they haven’t done at least a little more to harm critical infrastructure. I know they want to set a good example but they are dealing with a population in which 9 out of ten Jewish Israelis support the entire ‘Eretz Israel’ thing which calls for the wholesale elimination of entire populations into order to Judaize the entire region.

And they are succeeding at this thus far.

ZH is helping push a major propaganda meme about the Strait of Hormuz with their latest posting title about it….any barflies have data about this?

Growing Number Of Oil Tankers Successfully Sneak Through Hormuz, Shrinking Iran’s Leverage

They’re part of a growing number of tankers that are turning their transponders off to lift oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz from a trickle to a stream. While conventional vessel-tracking data show little change in shipments, senior shipping executives, Asian oil buyers and satellite images paint a different picture: That Hormuz is now a lot less blocked, with transits becoming more steady and greater in volume.
As we reported last week, the increase in Gulf producers’ ships going dark to sneak through undetected by Iran is at the heart of the rise in flows, coinciding with a period where the US has been helping ships navigate through the waterway. The recent volumes add to signs that the oil market is managing to route enough to buyers and avert a price surge as the Iran war causes the biggest supply disruption in oil market history.

The posting goes on to say that ships are going through the strait and then transferring their oil to other tankers……might the ships going through being owned by Iran friendly group and they pay fees for the passage.

Is this what is going on?
I have a hard time believing that Iran is letting ships slip through Hormuz at night like being postulated.

It would explain why oil/gas has actually gone down of late despite an uptick today. Of course it’s still way higher than before the war and before June 2025 and is too expensive for the average joe to afford as wages haven’t kept pace with energy and food and commodity inflation.

Iran is suffering drastic economic hardship. That is not ‘western’ propaganda. The Iranians are suffering economcially as they cannot afford food staples and the sellers can’t make ends meet. They are caught in that viciously downward economic circle. The govt is trying to help but they can only do so much.

Using nukes, while indeed a great danger, would not be without serious consequences for the first users:

1) They would get blamed for all the further use of nukes by others that would ensue. They would been greatly more hated by all the world, probably including a large proportion of their own citizens. The perpetrators would not be safe from later war crimes accusations.

2) They would encourage others to use nukes too. If Israel and the US did it first, what then would stop Russia from nuking Lviv? Maybe it wouldn’t, but the Pandora’s Box would have been opened.

3) They would vastly encourage nuclear proliferation everywhere, as every other country that could manage it would adopt nukes for self defense. Turkey and Saudi Arabia would get nukes, for example, and probably Canada and Mexico as well. Not to mention Japan. This is serious business.

4) All might be vitiated by the escalation to a gradual general nuclear conflagration. That is what war game playing indicates, for example.

IMO, Trump ordered the attack in an attempt to get Iran to target the Gulf states its currently negotiating a new security pact with, a pact that Zionists and the Trump Gang is their worst nightmare. The big regional Sunni states that the Empire has controlled for decades are trying to wriggle out of Uncle Sam’s grip–Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia with small Qatar also in the mix. All are talking with Iran and by extension with China and Russia. What Lavrov spoke of today at the CSTO FM Summit and at the presser that followed mirrors those talks as do the series of documents agreed and signed.  The aim tying them all together is the destruction of hegemony and a return to a law-based international system as was mostly articulated in its Statement by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation member states on strengthening the role of international law and adherence to the principles of the UN Charter which echoes China’s Global Governance Initiative that’s been signed onto by 160 nations. As I wrote yesterday, this is what the Global Conflict is all about and which the war on Iran is a very important component because it’s directly attacking the two main powers responsible for global chaos, death and destruction, instigators of genocidal criminality, and serial violators of international law.

The Zionist activation of its remaining reservists is for its Lebanon War. Concentrating them in Northern Occupied Palestine will be fatal for them as Iranian & Hezbollah missiles & drones will greet them as they assemble before they can deploy. IMO, this is a major mistake by the Zionists that Resistance forces must capitalize upon.

Then he turned around and said everything he said was wrong!

Now, I like a man who can admit when he’s wrong.

Of course, Berman lied in one of his podcasts with that Nate Hagens character that he doesn’t work for oil companies when he certainly does consulting work at least indirectly for energy intersts.

For his part, Hagens may still go hunting with his midwestern family once a year but he’ll always be a Lehman Banker at heart.

Just when I thought Ukraine was the lowest of a snake’s belly, we get Zioland recruiting a baby in diapers to steer their US Colony.
ZH(Zio)Hedge was sold to new ZIO owners roughly a year ago and they go out of their way to pump Trump and Israel’s JAI propaganda.  ZH is a “preferred” White House reportage fellow. A partner in crime in every sense.
From 2 million barrels (2 tanker) a day to 100 million barrels in _______(insert time frame here), ZioHedge makes whatever claims their partners in crime tell them.
Wholly subsidized by Dual Citizen Money, no longer selling ZH/Trump steaks. coffee, trinkets, it’s 24 hour rah, rah, siss, boom, bah, kill Iranians, Russians.
Another sign of the abject desperation of the Chosen-to-be-punished-by-their-fake-Gott tribe.

Apart from general attentiveness, Berletic simply took the time to read the US policy documents back to the fifties and noticed there is a recurrent pattern. He then explained it to the listeners.
Most of us never read such documents.

Yet he stops short of talking about who funded and authored the policy documents.

Give him the benefit of the doubt as to why. But when you dig into that next level, it quickly lines up with a recurring theme in regards to US foreign policy. Particularly in West Asia…

“To pick and choose what is or isn’t a crime within a war, Queensbury Rules, is crazy. It’s all barbaric and criminal.”
Posted by: EoinW | Jun 10 2026 18:19 utc | 29

This is simply uncivilized. While indeed offensive war itself is a supreme crime, there are acts within that, recognized by most human civilizations, which are far worse than others. The killing of non-combatants, of women and children, torture, killing of medical providers, perfidy, etc. make that original crime much worse, and almost all societies proscribe these.
And no, the defense does NOT have carte blanche to do anything they want to end the war expeditiously. For example, it was an incredible crime for the US to use nukes in 1945, as were the horrific firebombings of Tokyo and Hamburg and Dresden, among many others.

And so Iran must not join the attackers in their mindless depravity and attack life sustaining infrastructure. They should continue to patiently, systematically, and effectively target the military resources and shut down the trade lanes and thereby FORCE compliance.

Is this what is going on? I have a hard time believing that Iran is letting ships slip through Hormuz at night like being postulated.

I Googled it: ~140 ships a day pre war, so if half got through that would be 70 ships and half the pre-war supply of oil, gas, and chemicals and still critical, but, half are not getting though, not even close, so even if a big number like 14 ships get “escorted” through a day that would be 10% of pre-war supply and insignificant. And, then where are they going? To the golden billion or the RoW? Split that in half, 5% of pre-war supply to the vassal states. The USA either gets the Strait fully open or it’s pissing in the wind.

Doctor Eleven @ 48

The reason oil and gas doesnt reflect actual prices is massive unprecedeneted manipulation of the oil futures market, just like precious metals. Wonder why that is? The Empire has suborned private banks to the task of bailing out the USD.

Exactly. Iran, Russia, China are buying time but to what end? To break the western economies, at least enough, to bring them to their senses, this is the resistance’s response to the hybrid war part talked about by Putin and Lavrov at the start of the SMO, a valiant attempt to prevent WW3, Russia and Iran are paying a high for it.

The USA response is to fudge the numbers and hope nobody notices, neoliberalism is all about fudged numbers, four decades of it, bullshit honed to deindustrialization cum asset inflation perfection, so the resistance is making a big play, and its patience and resources and populations’ fortitude will be severely tested. The USA economy despite the reality behind the bullshit will prove as resilient as Russia’s, China’s, and Iran’s, economies have a lot of inertia and the USA population already has 30ys of negative expectations and has gotten used to living in their cars and working for nothing.

USA figured Russia and Iran would collapse easily from the hybrid war, the resistance shouldn’t make the same mistake, meanwhile in the hot war thousands of good people die. Michael Hudson back in 2022 predicted 20ys, I hope he’s wrong but I think he’s right. Lot’s more death and destruction to come before the USA are economically exhausted, like Germany and Japan in the last war it might have to find itself crawling out of the still smoldering rubble before it figures out attacking Russia, China and Iran was an epochally bad idea.

Looks to me like the USA made up the story of the downed Apache helicopter to renter the war, who is going to say otherwise? But, what do I know?

He isn’t the only one that follows that pattern.

The whole circuit seems to have around fifty people – mostly Americans and American Jews but with some Russians, some Arabs and Muslims and what have you, a sprinkling of Iranians…

Many of them have military-intel-diplomatic elite backgrounds. The interlocking relationship between intel-govt-ambassadors-military is evident here in this ‘space’ and interestingly many of the podcasters come from military or police families even if they themselves aren’t actively involved.

They range from ‘left-right’ and you notice the overlap between ‘progressive’ or even ‘hard left-marxist’ and ‘economic libertarian’ and you’re forced to root for someone who does excellent work on the Zionist cancer but also supports ICE or talks about ‘the white aryan race’. The black-white divide is a tool of the jewish supremacists who will also of course condemn and false flag ‘their own people’ in the interest of the greater project for the world.

If you read something inciting violence against ‘the jews’ it’s probably them.

Some modern B-52 have been reworked to be stand-off missile platforms like the Russian TU-95/22/160 so they could be going to Iran and not wind up like all the Global Hawk and Reaper drones that got too close. I didn’t think about carpet bombing southern Lebanon, that’s wholly depraved and right up Trump’s alley. I hope the resistance has some surprise like the N. Vietnamese had early Soviet Dvina air defense. USA admitted to 16 B-52s lost, Vietnam claimed 34.

That doesn’t seem to be the plan to deal with other nuclear powers. The plan seems much simpler and follows exactly the biolabs method. Expand Nato to maximum, which is already done because Putin talks a lot and does nothing. Then increase nukes in Nato which is already happening with Trump bringing more and his puppet Macron spreading his few everywhere. Xi has the same problem in Japan, Taiwan, SK and others. In a few years everyone will have them and Ukr will have them too, Pompeo’s company in Ukr said so last week. Since all this happens after the surrender in Anchorage, it means someone is making sure many future presidents will be as castrated as the current.
Another clue is Trump’s interest since the first term to replace regular bombs with small nukes. DU was not good enough. I mean he freely speaks about nuking Russia too. Another not surprise is that he’ll give weapon grade uranium to private companies and the regular military will be linked to friend Bibi’s command. And ai. Poor Brics losers won’t even be able to know who hits them and who to nuke back. So they’ll pretend to be 5d chess players that peasants can’t uderstand and develop an interest for tourism in Alaska.

The US and others have been escorting a handful of the same VLCC’s in and out via the channel that goes behind an Omani island  (Didamar Island?).   Its narrow and can only handle a limited number of ships.  It is know as the “Behind” route or the “Inshore” route.    Iran appears to have just figured it out a bit ago.  (The downing of the Apache. )
.
The same VLCCs transfer their cargo once outside and go back to get more.  The ships are insured by the US.  They may US Marines on board with some air defense.  But most of the defense appears to have been provided by other assets.

Iran needs full escalation, fast. Trump needs escalation in drips. Amazing after all these years, Iranians just don’t get that they are being strung along. Like there are bridges to the west worth saving?? They don’t want to upset the China or russia? Chinese wouldn’t give a rats ass if iran’s win results in permanent high energy costs for Europe and America’s Asian vassals. They can just buy the cheaper goods made in China, further become service oriented economies.

Donald Trump has put the downing of the helicopter behind him. His focus now appears to be on striking Iran this evening because he has not received an answer to his revised proposal. Washington reportedly altered two key points in the original framework, modified the content, and expected Tehran to accept the changes.

Military escalation is part of diplomacy, but Iran will retaliate. Ideally, Tehran may choose to respond against Israel, widening the war and giving Lebanon some breathing space. Nevertheless, Iran has its own objectives already prepared, depending on the nature and scale of any U.S. strike against the country.

The night will be long, and it is far from being under Trump’s control, even if he believes otherwise.
