“Ukraine’s Defense Minister Fedorov effectively confirmed the large-scale drone attack on Moscow was staged for Western sponsors, saying he hopes partners “see and understand” the window of opportunity, and calling the strikes on Moscow “a good signal” that Kiev is moving in the right direction and delivering on its promises.” Posted by: Newbie | Jun 18 2026 16:55 utc | 2 Military Situation In Ukraine On June 18, 2026 (Maps Update) Posted by: smartfox | Jun 18 2026 17:05 utc | 3 It has now come out that AFU offensive in the south/east Zaporozhye sector from January has suffered 90% losses. Cautious, don’t run ahead of yourselves, no unnecessary risks, reel in the gains when they’re there to be got. Posted by: Newbie | Jun 18 2026 17:35 utc | 11 From the ‘Events in Ukraine’ substack: ‘The Ukrainians place much more stock in information than I do. Today’s strike on Russia, needless to say, won’t affect the military situation on the frontlines. It is quite likely to affect Russian minds, however, although how exactly is less clear. What is more predictable is the reaction it will engender westward. Ukraine’s military strategy has always seemed aimed at securing continued western funding, hence largely focused around the ability to engage western audiences.’ https://eventsinukraine.substack.com/p/infowars ‘Today’s strike on Russia, needless to say, won’t affect the military situation on the frontlines…. …It is quite likely to affect Russian minds, however, although how exactly is less clear.’ What this is essentially saying is that the Russia populace at large will obviously be ‘affected’ by this incident but even if they are ‘affected’ to the point of real anger they can’t do a damn thing about it. It’s interesting to note that there’s a Burger King near the recent UKraine drone bombing of Moscow – the capital city of Russia. https://vimeo.com/1202458497?fl=pl&fe=cm#t=11s Why is there a Burger King in Mother Russia?!!!!!! We do have a few Lukoils left here in the US. No outside power has done drone bombings of Washington DC although some of the city looks drone bombed on its own. The vast majority of ‘the people’? It seems to be at once deteriorating while also revitalizing in other areas. Creative destruction. There is an enormous wealth divide but there is still enormous ‘wealth’ and various layers of how said wealth is distributed depending on where one is geographically and where one sits withn the system. Again, there are no attacks on infrastructure from outside powers or their proxies on US doorsteps – let alone within the US itself – to this point. If the suggestion is why would outside powers waste resources on that when the US is imploding itself anyway and oh, by the way, your own intel services pump drugs and weapons into the cities anyway in order to pacify and then criminalize those ‘elements’ of society which in turn feeds the war-prison-surveillance system. The retort to this would be ‘yeah, and that produces the profits to bomb Russia with.’ If oil/energy prices shoot up in the US at the end of July or August as some are suggesting – and inflation explodes on nearly everything – then we will know that the world is truly changing. It seems to me right now that everything is being ‘controlled’ and ‘demand destruction’ is ‘created’ in many ways as necessary to offset major cataclysms that might otherwise occur. The main problem with the US – and increasing the entire world – is the increasingly accelerating demise of any meaningful or substantial culture or ’emotional depth’ to anything. But that is a much much larger discussion. I don’t get the impression that the East is impoverished emotionally or spiritually or whatever you wanna call it.’ I don’t believe in a firm ‘east’-‘west’ divide. Show it to me. Most people the world over – including of course myself – are ‘moderns’ who stare at glowing screens for inordinate amounts of time. I watch Russians and Iranians ‘interacting with’ (staring at) tiny phones fatuously while going up and down elevators in malls! Don’t get me started on Modern China which has grand festivals and what have you intending to show that it is in touch with its hisotry while it is in fact destroying the subtleties, nuances and deep-rooted human-ness of what China’s plethora of various cultures once were. Posted by: Avtonom | Jun 18 2026 19:28 utc | 35 What’s perplexing about the management of the “war” between Russia and NATO via Ukronazi proxies is the observation that despite years of Russian bombing of power plants, railways, and fuel depots, these remain efficient. It’s worth noting that even the city lights are working, the railways are functioning normally, and the fuel depots are full. Drones regularly strike civilian structures deep within Russian territory. Posted by: Cagliostro | Jun 18 2026 19:33 utc | 36 ‘good response and i appreciate reading your thoughts on this and many of your other posts too… my simple retort – lets wait and see what unfolds and enjoy the ride as best we can…’ – James 27 Ditto James, thank you, and absolutely on enjoying the ride. I often have to fight feeling guilty over enjoyment of life given everything going on. Poor me, right? These forums are at once invaluable and also ‘ignorance is bliss’ destroyers. I enjoy blissful states! Thank you again. Posted by: Agonizing Reappraisal | Jun 18 2026 19:33 utc | 37 Bla bla bla bla bla bla blà Posted by: Cagliostro | Jun 18 2026 19:55 utc | 38 ‘When the visible “leaders” and their usually less visible sponsors/masters start intentionally killing each other rather than ordinary people, one might believe the whole mess is not a somewhat scripted charade.’ – Cynic 34 Exactly. ‘Show me a nation, any nation, in the world that doesn’t do exactly that. AI is not going to help preserve old cultures either. We are in steep climb-down. All of us.’ – Avtonom 35 I know. We’re changing right in front of ourselves. The more I’m here the less I’m outside or doing anything else. When I go to do something else I am often thinking about what I was last thinking about rather than being fully immersed in the task at hand. I think this is happening to everyone everywhere on some level and I notice in the US where I am that ‘the younger generation’ is curious and in some ways ‘wanting’ to be less online and less digital. I am in my early fifties. I leave my phone in my cheap old honda and the phone is often off…and I wouldn’t carry it at all or even have it if there were still pay phones or if the new world didn’t depend on having a transponder on oneself all the time. I used to work in logistics and it’s fascinating to see how online maps have changed the ability of people to ‘see and configure’ geography in the mind before then ‘hitting the road.’ Bring back the Hagstrom maps! But, the younger generation for the most part doesn’t know how NOT to be digital on most levels of existence and of course that’s simply because they are born into this and most of the parents seem to have long forgotten their own lost skillsets. I have constant thoughts (and rather strong feelings) around this but those are just some immediate things that come to mind. Do technological advances mask social regressions? The luddites weren’t ‘anti-technology’ per se rather they hated how fast it was being rolled out and the fact that they had no say in what and what not to adopt and how quickly. Imagine how fast everything changes now. Is physical tangibility essential to ‘participatory democracy’ or ‘civic republicanism’ any meaningful sensse of true participation in society at a ‘human’ level? I believe it is. You used to have to move bankers’ boxers full of votes out the back door but now you can just have a proprietary voting machine and ‘citizens’ can push a button and go on their merry way. It’s getting crazier by the minute out here! Well, fuel-oil (diesel?) will burn like that and produce black smoke, for dramatic visuals.’ That may well be true but it’s hard to imagine Russia – whether it is the political class or the business class or the common person on the street – it is hard to imagine that they are okay with this. They have simply ‘learned to live with’ Russian airspace and territorial integrity being constantly violated? I’m not sure what this is akin to. Statutory rape? No. Russia is like a woman who comes from a somewhat wealthy family and isn’t ‘easy’ but does allow for some fun but one can’t ‘go all the way.’ Now, any woman can ‘do’ as much or as little as she is comfortable with so I am certainly not going to suggest that Russia is asking to be raped. Does Russia like this behavior or not? Why is it allowing it at all? Ukrainian drones can touch our breasts whenever they want and maybe even rub a little over the pants but no penentration! What about the bridges on some of the main artery supply routes that have been spoken about? I don’t endorse Russia hitting every civilian truck ‘they can’ on the basis any given vehicle may have bad things in it. That is reducing oneself to ‘Israeli’ behavior. ‘If Russia has AI drones…’ It is possible Russia doesn’t have AI drones?
