Moon of Alabama Brecht quote

Ukraine Isn’t Winning

There is an ongoing Ukrainian propaganda campaign to depict the country as winning the conflict with Russia.

The campaign is accompanied by drone attacks on energy targets within Russia. While burning fuel tanks at this or that of many Russian refineries may look impressive the effects on Russia have so fare been mere nuances. Ongoing drone attacks on Crimea have led to inconveniences for the inhabitants of the island.

The Ukrainian campaign is supported by the Europeans who are trying to pull the U.S. back into the conflict. The U.S. however had never left. After the meeting between President Trump and President Putin in August 2025 in Anchorage there was talk about an agreement between the two presidents but no announcement of any specifics.

After the meeting Trump had called for Ukraine to leave the Donbas area to make peace with Russia. But he never applied any pressure to achieve that outcome. Meanwhile U.S. intelligence and weapon support for Ukraine continued.

For a while Russia had seemed to believe in the ‘sprit of Anchorage’ and had expressed hope for an end on the conflict along Trump’s proposal. That view has long since gone away.

Now U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has officially dismissed any talk of an Anchorage agreement:

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump failed to secure any final agreements on Ukraine settlement at their meeting in Anchorage.

“There was no agreement in Alaska. There was a proposal in Alaska, but there was no agreement in Alaska. If there had been an agreement, we would have had an end to the war,” Rubio told journalists in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, in the course of his state visit.

Now Rubio’s underling even declares that Ukraine is winning:

Speaking ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk, US Deputy Secretary of State Jeremy Levin said the conflict has shifted in Kyiv’s favor, Mezha reported.

“As of now, we are in a position where Ukraine is winning the war at this moment” Levin said, adding that the situation on the battlefield has shifted in Kyiv’s favor, allowing Washington to speak about Ukraine’s success as a current reality instead of a distant goal.

Levin said that the conflict dynamics have reversed, with Ukrainian troops now advancing, while Russian forces are effectively waiting for winter. The shift in dynamics has been made possible by Ukraine’s ongoing strikes on critical oil infrastructure in Russia, essentially increasing the cost of the war for Moscow and forcing it to divert resources away from the front, he said.

The facts on the ground are contradicting the view of Mr. Levin. According to Ukrainian frontline news Russian troops are slowly but steadily gaining ground (machine translation):

Russian troops have occupied most of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.

This was reported by a Ukrainian fighter with the call sign “Flour”.

According to him, Russian units are already using most of the city to accumulate personnel, drones and firepower.

Only certain microdistricts at the northwestern entrance to the city remain under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or in the gray zone. At the same time, the line of contact continues to change rapidly.

Another noticeable advance, according to the military, was recorded in the Sloviansk direction. Russian units have established control over Yurkovka and continue fighting for Rai-Oleksandrivka (the Russian Federation claims that this village has already been captured).

At the same time, pressure is increasing in the Mykolaivka area, where Russian troops are trying to disrupt Ukrainian logistics with strikes on supply routes through Vysokoivanivka and on facilities in the area of the Slavyansk thermal power plant.

In the Pokrovsky direction, Russian forces, according to Muchnoy, occupied the Zaporizhzhia mine and advanced along the forest belts north of it. The situation in Rodinskoye is also complicated, where the northern part of the city was actually isolated.

At the same time, it is noted that Russian units are trying to turn this area into a local “bag”, controlling supply and movement routes with the help of drones and firepower.

The Ukrainian army is in its ever worst position. Moral is terrible, losses are high and the recruitment methods are getting more and more brutal.

The Ukrainian Commander in Chief General Syrski has long insisted on creating new ‘assault’ brigades instead of filling up the shrinking regular brigades which attempt to hold grounds.

A recent investigation by the Ukrainian outlet Babel reveals murder and torture in the recruit training camps of the 425th Assault Regiment Skala (Rock) (machine translation):

A battered head, torn hands, a chiseled lower back, dirty and broken fingers. In this state, 35-year-old Oleksandr Semenov came to the hospital in Kropyvnytskyi in January 2026. He said that he escaped from the 425th separate assault regiment “Rock”, where he was abused, beaten, tied to an ATV and dragged on the ground. In a video taken by local doctors, the man said that he witnessed at least nine suicides in the unit, briefly described their circumstances and named one of the dead. The video at Babel’s disposal was filmed on January 23, 2026, and a few days later, Oleksandr Semenov died in the hospital. The official cause of death is pneumonia.

“The Rock” is the largest assault regiment in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unofficially, it is also called “Syrsky’s”. It is not part of any corps, but is directly subordinate to the high command. “The Rock” took part in the most difficult battles of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Despite this and combat merits, the regiment is often criticized by the military, journalists and relatives of those who got there. Due to accusations of heavy losses, the regiment has gained a reputation as “meat”. However, “The Rock” loses people not only on the battlefield, but even before combat — during military training – it counted 26 deaths.

The newly recruited soldiers, snatched from the streets, are living in guarded tents. Going to the toilet is only allowed in groups and under the eyes of an armed soldier. Grounds around the training camp are mined. Torture is routine. People who try to flee will be shot and/or get brutalized to death.

Strana reports that the “Rock” is far from the only such unit.

The mass death of Ukrainian soldiers due to torture while in training is probably what the State Department considers as ‘winning’.

Russia has meanwhile initiated a new campaign against Ukrainian transport infrastructure and logistics. Targets are locomotives, truck depots, large post office warehouses (which run Ukraine’s military logistics), oil storage facilities and petrol stations of which more than 150 have been destroyed so far.

The slow squeeze continues. Ukraine isn’t winning.

Ukraine isn’t winning, but Russia is definitely losing.

Losing what? the hearts and minds of its population? apparently not. Those of the west? who cares. Its economy? not according to GDP growth and trade relations. Losing what then, ground? it’s still expanding its control in Ukraine, albeit very slowly.

When I was in grade school there was a kid who won quite a few prizes in “Be the first to call” contests on the radio. He basically sat by the radio all day with his finger in the dial of the phone after having dialled the last digit of the radio station’s number. Yeah we had dial phones. That was a long time ago. I never expected to run into somebody like that again.

Let them do propaganda , at war it’s the name of the game. On the other hand , all the surrounding of said propaganda can be used as a form of metadata.
US has privatized the conflict since Anchorage , mostly via “investment” into some “startups” : Starlink for the networking, Palantir et al. for the targeting, a shitload of “innovative drone manufacturers for any range and applications known to man, auditing companies to manage logistics, political advisor firms for PR and the tech bro with their LLMs to create some “engagement”.
It’s mostly war marketing at this point , everything is or will be “for sale” … some monopolistic companies from the Fortune 500 will end up paying a crapton of money to buy back the said “startups” or “services”.
Who cares about 404 winning anything when there is so much money to be made !

If Ukraine was winning militarily they wouldn’t be using terror bombing on civilians.
Same to Israel.
Terror bombing has been demonstrated since WW1 to not be effective.

It’s not easy to guess why the Russian Authority continues to give the West the benefits of the doubt. Very soon the Zionist representatives, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, would be in Moscow for another round of the charade. Meanwhile the ordinary people are getting tired of living under the shadow of NATO’s coordinated terrorism.

Ukraine is not winning which means the EU/UK/US are not winning either.

The same not winning for the parties above is proving true in the colonial ME as well

And because the real threat is China for the parties above, all this not winning is becoming existential for the global private finance based God Of Mammon cult.
The cult feels it can crash the world economies and retain most if not all of their financial control even though they may have to take some debt loss which will most be felt by the masses and mid/lower level oligarchs.

The soap opera shit show continues until it doesn’t and the God Of Mammon cult has a plan for that as well…..

What the heck is B talking about?  Of course Ukraine is winning the war!  They have been since 2022!!  Wait what – oh , B was talking about the actual war like taking territory and killing 100 times more Ruskies than Ukes killed and stuff like that.  I thought he meant the propaganda war, which Ukraine had been winning since 2022…..you know the ‘ look here we are plucky Ukies we ain’t never gonna give up but we just might unless you give us a few billion dollars’  talk.  /s

Militarily, it looks as if Russia has been winning for nearly three years now, as you can see they have a coherent strategy and they have objectives to take back the Dona’s region one town at a time with the Ukies can’t really seem to stop.  Any offensive action & gains by Ukraine is met by the Russian  action and gains elsewhere to the point the Ukrainians always fall back to the point where they stated their offensive .  So no net gains at all for the Ukies.

But here is the rub and where it gets quite tricky for Russia.  The Ukies are fighting American style, not really trying to win anything anymore just trying not to lose. In other words prolong the war as long as possible then prolong it some more. The problem Russia now faces is the Ukes will never give up because they can’t- they know they started something they can’t finish by themselves and their economy is likely 100 times worse than Iran’s so they need to keep fighting to keep money flowing in from the West.  Putin and the Russian government have said more than once they don’t want to take all of Ukraine but I don’t see what choice they have – if they stop short the threat is still there; if they talk all of Ukraine then they are sitting on a powder keg of insurrection and terrorism for years.  So they are screwed no matter what – just the way the way the West wants it.

I’m afraid Russia is going to pay one way or another for failing to go for broke last year after they had built up two additional armies and steamroll all the way to Odessa and Kivy.

I’ve noticed recently that my reddit feed has a steady stream of posts along the lines of “Russia out of gas…” , “Ukraine on the offensive…” , “Why is Russia still fighting their hopeless war?”.  More so than say 6 months ago.   It has the smell of the daily Russia bashing pieces on NPR during Trump’s first term (I used to listen to NPR on my daily commute).  It seems like there is a concerted effort to shape the opinions about Russia/Ukraine, especially with people who don’t really pay close attention to geopolitics (i.e. most Americans).

The ussr built ukraine. It’s infrastructure it’s architecture, shared history. The only reason anything is still standing in ukraine. The ideology of hate will be neutralized one way or another by Russia. To the last ukranian.

The narrative about Ukrainian victories is nonsense for the mindless, yet it is equally true that Russia takes one step forward and two back; after four long years, they realized that launching frontal assaults on fortified Ukrainian positions was suicidal—just as it was to allow the flow of trains and trucks from Romania and Poland, loaded with weapons, to continue.
It almost seems as though Russia—or rather, its oligarchs—has an interest in the war dragging on as long as possible; the longer it lasts, the more Europe and NATO arm and militarize, with the ultimate goal of attacking and dismembering Russia.
In essence, Russia’s strategy of refusing to pay the West back in kind is baffling.
Just this morning, news broke that France had seized a Cameroonian oil tanker in the Strait of Sicily because it was transporting Russian oil.
This raises the question once again: why does Russia, despite all the sanctions, persist in supplying Western defense industries that manufacture the very weapons ending up in the hands of “Ucro-Nazis”?
The mysteries of money.

Every liberal Democrat believes Ukraine is winning the war against Russia because it has the capacity to build drones for attacks against Russian oil facilities, attacks on civilian targets, and assassinations of generals. There is no critical analysis of the war being made to the public. Even if there was, Americans would reject it because it would contradict the belief Russia is a faltering despotic failed state.

You are not wrong that the piglets, under NATO control, are fighting a Nazi style war of “Verbrannte Erde”, destroying and killing everything and everybody on retreat. That is a problem.

Still the question remains how long they and their SS style NATO leaders can sustain that. I fear, quite a time. But not endlessly.

Interesting cast of characters posting on this thread.

I have been arguing from my barstool that the only narrative the west had while the Iran “War” was ongoing was “Ukraine is winning.” This was because “super duper bombs and Missiles” were going to bring Iran “to its knees.” With Ukraine being the most missiled and bombed place on earth right now, with it still standing, the Iran narrative would be revealed to be the farce it was.

As far as what the west contemplates or be able to muster, it will be feminine warfare – character assassination, guilting,  shaming, rallying and manipulation of unsuspecting males to fight their battles. They might be able to buy a cuck army like in Ukraine, but the opportunities for a repeat performance seem vanishingly small. I don’t see any western European nation as presently constituted as capable of raising a military with real soldiers.

So drones are a perfect fit as an expression of feminine aggression – they buzz around, look at you, might hit you with an explosive payload tantamount to a slap and then they disappear. After its done, the dronerette can tell all the girls about how strong they are so everyone can say “You go girl”!

At the end of the day, anyone supporting Ukraine, and especially those newcomers to the bar on this thread, stand with worshipers of the bones of the 1943 Wolyn Nazi Genocide architect.

Thanks b for attempting to inform the uninformed. Unfortunately, the parade of uninformed and paid FUDsters will continue as demonstrated by two of the first seven comments. The tacked on goal to the SMO is the formation of a buffer or security zone along the Russia/Ukraine border whose required depth keeps expanding with every advance in drone capabilities. Soon, all of Ukraine will need to be turned into a security zone.

Scott Ritter’s return from Russia and the experiences he’s related brings up the two schools of thought present within Russia that look beyond the SMO to NATO’s antics–and we must recall that the Outlaw US Empire remains in charge of NATO, which IMO is crucial. One school of thought says the EU portion of NATO is killing itself and thus doesn’t need to be shot dead now. The other school says the EU portion of NATO must be shot dead now to ease Russia’s situation. Both schools seem to agree that NATO’s efforts to improve Ukraine’s position on the battlefield are useless, thus it’s the issue of NATO’s aid in terrorism that must be halted.

Recently, Putin said to top graduates from military universities that Russia must prepare to shoot the EU dog dead, while Lavrov pounds the fact of the EU becoming Nazi, with both using the 85th anniversary of Barbarossa as additional weight for their remarks. As I noted yesterday, Crooke’s remarks in his chat with Danny Davis and Larry Johnson’s article both distilled those remarks into their essence. I also linked to the events where those remarks were made. Not to be omitted is Ray McGovern’s analysis he presented to Glenn Diesen. So, there’s no shortage of data available to arrive at what’s likely to happen over the next several months. Russia’s attrition strategy will continue as that’s where it has the most decisive advantage. The see-saw nature of drone advancements that provide each side a short window of advantage will continue. Russia’s massive advantage in total firepower will continue to exert its influence. It must be noted that Ukraine must fire a massive number of drones–up to 1000–just to get a few leakers that provide the black smoke used in its propaganda. Yes, Russian civilians do die on a daily basis from NATO terrorism, and that provides the kill the dog now school of thought’s argument. The validity of that argument means the nature and condition of EU/NATO leadership needs to be examined.

Starmer resigned, but his replacement will continue the current UK war on Russia. Macron is very weak and will likely lose next year’s election, but for now his war policy against Russia remains. Merz is hugely unpopular but is still capable of aiding Ukraine. The unelected EU/NATO dictators have signaled they will continue their war against Russia. So, while some of the dogs will die, it appears their policies will remain for the rest of 2026. What 2027 will bring is hard to forecast, but it seems clear the Outlaw US Empire will continue its present policy of aiding Ukraine and heading NATO, meaning it is ultimately responsible for the terror attacks on Russian civilians just as its ultimately responsible for the Zionist Genocides in Palestine and Lebanon. I should add Ritter’s revelation that Google manufactures terror drones used against Russian civilians providing yet another reason not to use Google.

IMO, Russia will continue doing what it’s doing. It’s wading into the last of the dense urban defensive areas in Donbass and Zaporozhia, while steadily expanding the security zone in Sumy and Kharkov regions. Khairullen’s substack has a good report about the Sumy sector today. One last note is the destabilization seen in Eastern Europe between Bulgaria, Hungary, and Poland with Ukraine.

AFU manages to hit apartment blocs, some refineries (mostly oil tanks within them, the easiest parts to repair or replace), fill drones with diesel for black smoke effects for western media.

Yes, they attack some trucks with starlink guided drones, causing some disruption over the Kerch strait to Crimea, and the Taganrog-Melitopol highway.

It may have had a small slowing effect, but the largest effect is rationing fuel for civilian cars, to the tune of 20 liters per day. That is still plenty of fuel. Ukraine may have permanently put out of action 2-5% of Russian refineries. Well, permanently meaning some parts need to be replaced that will take 2+ months.

Russia is also hitting AFU logistics, gas stations burning down everywhere. Ukrainian fuel trucks, silos. Russia has instead put 100% of Ukrainian refineries out of action. Gas storages out of action, affecting also EU reserves. On the front large portions of AFU are surrounded, a new cauldron forming in Druzhivka and Slavyansk, being cut off from north from Lyman direction.

Eastern Kharkov region is crumbling along with Kupyansk, Vovchansk.

RUAF advancing on Sumy through the forest from the north, and from the east.

A cauldron also in Orekhov.

AFU elite nazi reserves are having increasingly harder time to conduct any sort of offensive against Russian advances. With that, RUAF maintains dominance of movement. AFU garrisons get isolated and pummeled against overwhelming firepower at RUAF leisure.

Now (finally) bridges over Dnieper bombed, with literal bombs. Hit them enough times and they will go down. Soon both sides will be relying on pontoon bridges, and AFU can’t protect theirs from drones or missiles.

It’s shocking, to be honest, that the Ukrainians have any manpower left, or willingness to fight. The violent hazing in Ukrainian battalions is probably not limited to that one. So many men are being abducted off the streets, and so many villages are seeing their women resist the abduction of their men, that morale has to be extremely low.

Since that time the Nazis have been obliging and walking themselves into a meat grinder.

The current MSM campaign of Ukraine winning is literally everything reversed for what is happening to AFU and in Ukraine. They said people are being mobilized from the street, prisons, the army moral is crashing and low, supplies lacking, everything is stalling, no more volunteers, etc. etc. etc. They say Putin is suing for peace due to the few hits on Russian oil tanks.

They have gone full Goebbels here. It’s a coordinated campaign.

according to Martin Armstrong, the elites of “The West” are trying to destroy their own countries in several ways to hide the only thing that matters: the meltdown of the western financial system.
To hide successfully, they need foreign “evil” enemies, like Russia, Iran, China.  They try to provoke Russia to make military steps against Europe, and after defeat of Europe, they have a good reason to tell people why the Euro is broken. It was Putin, the satan personally, and his primitive “Untermenschen” … good story, most of Yurps will believe it.
But that`s not enough. Of course to hide the real reason why the Dollar is colapsing and soon be gone, they need another enemy. The evil Iranians killed the line of supply and because of that … and so on.
May be, that is the reason why Putin does NOT respond with overwhelming force. He simply does not comply to the ground rules the West is trying to establish.  He can wait until the Yurps are out of options late this year and in one case, it could simply broke apard or in a last cry, will attack Russia first with direct military force. Both scenarios will destroy the cover story the master of the universe tried to establish.
From this poV, the behavior of Russia makes sense.

By the way, dollar system can be collapsing while dollar is getting stronger within the system. Like is happening now.

But if other currencies collapse within the dollar system, they will no longer see dollar as viable. Emerging markets like Mexico, others surely will follow soon are already defaulting US dollar denominated debts. So dollar debts are just being wiped out. China is offering to replace them with yuan denominated debts. Since it’s the largest manufacturing power, yuan has real utility.

US tried to save the system with re-creating the petro/oil dollar, by destroying competition and taking over Venezuela and Lat Am. Don’t think that is really happening or working.

So before dollar removes as a significant reserve currency, it can fully strengthen against other currencies, which then collapse. Essentially reserve dollar’s purpose is to keep the system and swap lines alive. Which isn’t happening anymore. The Fed is trapped under the massive fiscal deficit and debt burden with no where to go.

None so blind as those that can not see..The Nazis have not “been obliging and walking themselves into a meat grinder…”  they’ve been walking Russ/Magyar/Slovaks into the meat grinder.  In addition to that, the Waffen SS of Galicia have been doing, for quite a while now, is selling the conscripts wife/daughter/son into the world’s sex-slave-trade…then taking the dead man’s possessions.

Russia’s attritional-warfare, hasn’t “de-Nazified” ex-ukrainia in the least, contrary to the views of 5-D chess players,  the percentage of Nazis has grownd as Russia has purified ex-ukrainia of those the SS deems unfit for life through a distillation process.

It’s too hilarious to take seriously. What is ‘winning’ anyway? Such talk works on morons who think wars are games, in which, even there, ‘victory’ has a short use-by date. To win is to end the game. Start a new one… but seriously, Ukraine lost the moment it parted company with the USSR and became the corrupt shit hole it is (it’s chief export being marriage scams). Victory for the Ukrainian people would be to evict all foreign intel agencies, join Russia, rebuild, and start taking being a sovereign nation seriously for the first time in its sorry history.

Beyond war fighting, remember Russia is in the process of rebuilding infrastructure in the oblasts they have liberated in eastern/southern Ukraine (also Kursk), while providing military protection. The reconstruction of Mariupol for example is a marvel. Many Russian lives have been disrupted and injured, thus needing rehab and therapy to restore their viability, dignity and social stability.

Russian authorities are engaged in a major effort to document and prosecute the crimes of the Neo-Nazi ultra-nationalist groups, the Ukraine regime and the Collective West, which will later become part of a war crimes tribunal. The goal will be not only to bring these iniquities to the world’s attention, but also to prevent future aggression especially by the Europeans that appear hell-bent on erasing memory and ingloriously repeating WWII.

FWIW here is a comment I made on the substack of Simplicimus:
“My faith in the “Global South” has declined significantly over the past few years. As a longtime resident of South America, I’ve watched it make a hard “right” turn: Argentina; Chile; Paraguay; Bolivia’ Ecuador and apparently now Perú and Colombia, all with governments pro-USA and pro-Israel. Uruguay is something of a fence-sitter and Brazil facing electoral uncertainty. Venezuela is a US colony now, as is Guyana. As for Surinam and French Guiana, well, with all due respect… Central America too, with the exception of Nicagagua, is pretty much part of the “Donroe” Doctrine satrapy, meaning that US corporations and global finance will be calling the tune while the sheep line up for fleecing as the lullabies play on their magical digital gadgets. Barring some seriously unforeseen changes, other than football/soccer, it seems like game over in this neck of the Global South unless Russia and China step up their game.”
While it seems  clear to me that Mr. P’s waiting game might be a wise choice, given the increasingly grim outlook for the global financial ponzi scheme, I have my doubts as to whether it might not be both tactically and strategically advantageous to strike Ukraine and strike it hard, as in render it logistically helpless.

Isn’t anyone else here as tired of this argument as I am? I mean, FOUR years! The freaking German ww2 army, probably the most lethal military force in world history to that point, was thoroughly and unquestionably beaten in that amount of time.
And yet you still have the Ukies holding lines, grudgingly giving way here and there, attacking infrastructure deep in Russia itself … ok, this isn’t Ukraine “winning”, that’s true. But what was it that Giáp told the Americans about losing every tactical battle not mattering to the war?

I share this opinion. And I find it so impotant that it should be repeated for clarity for those in the back of the bar. His tissue-thick sense of self seems tied to his credulity of contradictory things. Given that seems to be how he got treats and opportunities all his life, well, what was left of him saw no point in developing any further.

Such muppets are more useful in what they unconsciously reveal through their stupidity from time to time. 🙂

They’ve increased mobilization, no plans to change anything until all dead ( t.me/Slavyangrad/167533 )
So far Russia has focused on the front line and completely ignored the second war, which is what team Trump is proud of these days and the reason they claim Ukr is winning. I think Vicky had the same ideas many years ago. They say what they feel because they’re so excited they just can’t hide it.

Why is Russia hitting gas stations? Is it not better to hit huge storage tanks?

Posted by: Rex | Jun 25 2026 20:05 utc | 44

Pragmatically, we know two things. First, that when the Great Wurlitzer of the MSM swings into action with all the media stops out in perfect harmony, they’re lying. Truth is complex, it doesn’t require cosmetics. Second, that if all the MSM claims about the prosecution of the war in Ukraine were true, reality would be very different from what it is.

There are always debates to be had about velocity of campaigns, criteria for success, attrition rates, the validity of tactics and strategies – but these cannot influence facts on the ground. They simply inflect trends. And debates relying on slander, sweeping generalization and wild assumptions are boring and typical of trolls, Joe.

Ongoing drone attacks on Crimea have led to inconveniences for the inhabitants of the island.

According to Ukrainian frontline news Russian troops are slowly but steadily gaining ground

Should you really dismiss those problems as “inconveniences”?  That sounds a lot like how Trump insists that high gas and fertilizer prices and other problems brought on by the Special Military Operation in Iran are just “inconveniences”.

And the thing is the campaign in Kostiantynivka started way back in 2025.  This tortoise’s pace has been typical of Putin’s so called gains.   And if they achieve a goal, they don’t seem to lead to the quick capitulation that everyone here insists will happen.  Putin has received no payoff from Prokovsk for example.

If Ukraine was winning militarily they wouldn’t be using terror bombing on civilians.
Posted by: Polli | Jun 25 2026 16:50 utc | 6

Then why does Putin keep bombing civilian areas?

The current MSM campaign of Ukraine winning is literally everything reversed for what is happening to AFU and in Ukraine. They said people are being mobilized from the street, prisons, the army moral is crashing and low, supplies lacking, everything is stalling, no more volunteers, etc. etc. etc.

Today’s Weekly Briefing by Maria Zakharova has the usual very long update on Ukraine that shines light on things rarely discussed here, which can be read in Russian or translated at the link or read in English in a few days at the Foreign Ministry’s English language site. Maria’s remarks on that topic concluded with these two paragraphs:

The Bandera regime, indeed, demonstrates creativity in a certain sense of the word. In an effort to demonstrate the “effectiveness” of Western military assistance, the Zelensky regime began to publicly boast about the results of the use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine of weapons supplied by sponsors against our country, against civilians, accompanied by video footage of terrorist attacks on residential areas and civilian facilities. In fact, you know, this is a real “safari” for living people. Such a “premiere show” was timed, in particular, to the Group of Seven summit and the Eurosatory international arms exhibition held last week in France. However, the organizers of such “film screenings” did not take into account (this is all in the form of video footage) that in this way they themselves and their customers once again confirm the involvement of the curators of the Kiev regime in the current conflict and their support for the crimes committed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But this is monstrous. Just think about it. To demonstrate in the form of a video sequence how Western weapons strike at civilian targets literally in real time. I think that these are such horror films, horror films. You know, they usually come with such a mark. It is here that the Kyiv regime, together with its Western curators, flaunts this. They demonstrate (I don’t even know what) some of their prowess, not realizing that they are literally signing off on their misanthropic logic and actions.

The “creatives” from Bankova were, by the way, seen participating in another show for a Western audience mixed with the blood of their own servicemen. A video message from the father of one of the missing soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine appeared on the network, who, during his investigation, found out that the last battle with the participation of his son was broadcast online for money. Allegedly, such online screenings for viewers around the world, betting on the survival of Ukrainian militants, have become a routine practice. The commanders not only brazenly lied to the father that his son had allegedly lost his memory and was captured, but also demanded money for his inclusion in the exchange lists. Apparently, such “entertainment” with real live murders on the battlefield of those mobilized in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was also demanded by the Western masters of today’s Ukraine. However, for them, this is a common neocolonial practice. They are used to arranging “safaris” for people. Remember, this was the case in Donbass in 2022, this was the case in the Balkans, Afghanistan, Vietnam and Iraq. [My Emphasis]

The emphasis suggests linkage to the Epstein Class since that’s the “sport” they enjoy. Over 40 paragraphs preceded those two with many as equally disgusting. But things like Joe911 are the types that revel in such debauchery, but it wasn’t the only one on this thread of that type. Dogs with rabies eventually die if not shot and killed first. And in most instances, Ukie soldiers must either kill or be killed by those who sent them into combat.

Russia may have made the mistake during WW2 not to move further west. This time around should de-nazify west Germany, France, and the UK. That still may be inadequate. The US needs denazification as well.

Going off-topic:
My faith in the “Global South” has declined significantly over the past few years. As a longtime resident of South America, I’ve watched it make a hard “right” turn: Argentina; Chile; Paraguay; Bolivia’ Ecuador and apparently now Perú and Colombia, all with governments pro-USA and pro-Israel.

Posted by: Montefrío | Jun 25 2026 19:51 utc | 46

I was born in Lima.  You know that these swings are cyclical.  The current swing to right will likely be followed by a leftward swing.  Lula followed Bolsonaro.  Also, recent right wing wins in Peru and Colombia were very narrow.  That doesn’t seem like a decisive swing.  In Peru, specifically, I believe the population is very cynical about presidents regardless of their lean.  I wonder if Keiko will last one year.

So dollar debts are just being wiped out. China is offering to replace them with yuan denominated debts. Since it’s the largest manufacturing power, yuan has real utility.

I think this is what China is trying to do with its yuan/gold experiment. It is trying to enter the international market at the ‘convertible paper money’ stage.
I think the main problem with a gold based system is that there is not enough gold to cover all the transactions. But once the yuan becomes more accepted they could move to the ‘unconvertible financial instrument’ stage. Similar to the trip the USD took.

I cant help but contrast this to the impact i am guessing the opening speech by President von der Leyen at the Ukraine Recovery Conference (So cringe I can’t watch it really) had on the fighting spirit of young western men (Run away!) or on Russian policymakers (Shoot the dog later because its so harmless).

I would suggest the Ukranian women left at home still might have an unforgiving mindset when it comes to Russians running their government. So a difficult cultural overhang there for about 3 more generations.

And the next to last Q&A merits posting here, IMO:

Question: The West is actively promoting the idea of special tribunals on Russia’s “aggression,” while completely ignoring its own crimes committed in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and Iran right now. Is the Russian Foreign Ministry ready to propose an alternative agenda, for example, the creation of a long-term international commission to investigate all cases of circumvention of the UN Charter and the use of force without the sanction of the Security Council? To what extent is Russia ready to become one of the founders of such a commission and provide it with real archival and expert access?

Maria Zakharova: Let’s start with the fact that the establishment of the anti-Russia pseudo-tribunal you mentioned has nothing to do with justice or compliance with the goals and principles of the UN Charter. We have repeatedly explained during previous briefings and statements at relevant international venues why these joint “attempts” by the European Union and the Council of Europe are not only untenable, but flawed both from a legal and political point of view.

Let me remind you that neither Western countries nor anyone else has the right to invade the exclusive area of responsibility of the Security Council in violation of Chapter VII of the UN Charter. This applies both to the use of armed force in the absence of Security Council authorization or outside the exercise of the right to self-defense, and to the authority to determine the existence of an act of aggression and the use of sanctions tools in response.

Russia regularly raises the issue of the responsibility of the United States and its NATO allies in the Security Council for unleashing wars of aggression against sovereign states in violation of international law, as well as disregard for the rules of war and the commission of war crimes. Attacks on Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria were carried out under various pretexts and slogans, be it “humanitarian intervention”, “responsibility to protect”, “war on terror”, “preventive self-defense” and so on. But in essence, all these military adventures were acts of aggression.

Unlike the countries of the “collective West”, we do not intend to unilaterally try to administer “international justice” by imposing our rules of the game on someone. Our rules are the UN Charter. By the way, in order to develop a uniform approach of states to its interpretation and observance, the Special Committee on the UN Charter and the Strengthening of the Role of the Organization was created at one time. Back in 2014, Russia and Belarus submitted a proposal to the Special Committee to request an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice on the legal consequences of the use of force without prior authorization of the Security Council and outside the exercise of the right to self-defence.

Accordingly, I would ask a question for my part: which states do you think have been blocking the implementation of our initiative for twelve years? I think you know the answer. It is on the surface. Those who are trying to designate Russia as an “aggressor” in violation of the UN Charter.

The issue of Moldova and Romaina’s ongoing attempt to annex it were also discussed during the briefing. Moldovans continue to be independently minded and fundamentally pro-Russian as polling reports. Again, the MFA’s Weekly Briefings can be read in English at this link with an archive that’s many months long. The English version of today’s briefing is slowly being constructed and will likely be finished tomorrow. I’ll also again link to the official English transcript of Lavrov’s remarks and Q&A at the Primakov Readings.

Hard to say. We know that EUrope has plans to cease residence permits for military age male Ukrainians. There’s a million of them and the date I’ve seen is April 2027. I’m sure that they’ve decided it’s easier to send those Ukrainian males rather than their own males (who may get their chance in a later step, don’t fret).

The Red Army was capable of such a feat, but with figures like Henry Wallace only a heartbeat from power in the West the Soviet Union still had hope that the Popular Front against fascism would endure. Russia should have no such illusions that the West will abandon fascism and imperialism in favor of coexistence, but lacks a C21st Red Army and socialist industrial base to do what must be done. MoA stalwart Roger Boyd has an excellent article on substack examining the difference between the Soviet, RF, and Chinese political-economic models:

If the Empire loses it’s mojo as I believe it will, these nations will flip back to the left in a New York minute. Seriously B’
Ukraine may not be winning, but neither is Russia and Putin’s military disaster.  Only lesson is “Slav’s” love to kill eachother and that is their main weakness that has been exposed.

Someone else pointed this out, but it is possible that this stems from the political DNA that is the driver of the force that is the in-action.  RT did an article recently of Stalin’s benevilant theatre with Nazi Germany during WWII before the major attack that wiped out nearly 30million Russians.   The ‘politicians’ consistent diplomantic overture, talking sensitive issues and diplomaticly attempting to resolve it via dialogue with your enemy, regardless of how aparent your intelligence, military is making it that WAR is inevitable.  This was all before USSR became a Nuclear power.  The same playbook is being played out, just swap Nazi Germany with the US and the exact same scenario.

More reason Putin needs, must go for the future of Russia and the Ukraine, he is the worst war time president, and never suited the role, history and his actions reinforce this fact.

Nevermind the senseless slaughter of 2.5Million Ukranians.  This is a man-made disaster and a war of choice.

Exactly.

The nazis last took significant casualties at Mariupol, which in the long term didn’t matter because all those that surrendered at Azovstal, like Denis Prokopenko, were quietly returned via Turkey in exchange for Medvedchuk, whose only qualification for the exchange is that he is Putin’s  crony and the godfather of Putin’s daughter. The by now self-deleted Saker (of the Junkyard Of The Faker) coped desperately that these returned nazis would be considered turned by Russia and permanently under suspicion. Instead they are national heroes in Ukranazistan just like the Snake Island lot. Azov is now, far from being “destroyed” as the Putin cult claimed 4 years ago, so strong that it now can (like the Waffen SS) poach recruits at will from other units. What kind of denazification is that?

I would like to remind b that in March 2022 he claimed that the whole of Donbass was already under Russian “operational encirclement”.

How did that go?

Q: ‘You Like Winners. Do You Think President Zelenskyy is Winning Right Now?’ (&vid)

Whatever happened to ‘You’ve got no cards to play!’?

“Ukraine isn’t winning.”

Of course it isn’t,  but so what?

The war isn’t between Ukranazistan and Russia anymore. It’s between NATO and Russia. Even Demigod Putin now admits that NATO is launching (not allowing overflight, actually launching) “Ukrainian” drones from its territory to attack Russia. NATO,  which in March 2022 was reluctant to do more than supply helmets and body armour, is now openly mass producing drones to give Ukranazistan; the latest was Portugal, which just agreed to open a Japanese  owned factory to produce drones for the Ukranazi military. Since Putin will never, ever, under any circumstances, enforce a single red line, and since these drones are being produced and launched from NATO territory, what exactly is the significance of Ukraine “losing”? It’s just a NATO smokescreen.

Yesterday on Telegram I saw someone fulminating against British perfidy against Russia. I asked, what did you expect? The Brits have wanted to destroy Russia since at least the Crimean War. Never before, though, have they ever had the chance that they do now: to hit Russia at will, using Ukranazistan as a cover, with no danger – as long as Putin is not removed, of course – that Russia will ever strike back.

How many of Putin’s oligarch cronies still have investments in NATO countries, which they hope will be unfrozen once the war is done?

To what extent is that creating Putin’s pusillanimity?

Which will break first?
The perfidy of the Brits. The economies of the Waste (West). The tolerance of the Ukies for their mafia.Putin’s steadfastness.
If you chose C then you made the safe bet.

Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn’t the US gov’t and the legacy media been saying that Ukraine is winning and Russia is on the verge of collapse, approximately every day since this war started?
Today’s news: Ukraine is winning and Russia is on the verge of collapse.
Yesterday’s news: Ukraine is winning and Russia is on the verge of collapse.
Last week’s news: Ukraine is winning and Russia is on the verge of collapse.
Last year’s news: Ukraine is winning and Russia is on the verge of collapse…
When someone spreads lies over 1,000 times is it really worthwhile to take time to refute lie number 1,001?

‘How many of Putin’s oligarch cronies still have investments in NATO countries, which they hope will be unfrozen once the war is done?

To what extent is that creating Putin’s pusillanimity?’ – Biswapriya Purkayastha 97

The connections run deep.

The Russian oligarchs – ‘formerly’ and presently – are largely Zionist (Jewish Supremacist – ‘Eretz Israel’ and global domination lovers)

And the EU’s agenda is largely shaped by Jewish Supremacist individual ‘philanthropists’ such as Edmond Safra – who is of Sephardic background – and those networks working with, yes, the infamous Rothschilds and their network of AshkeNazi bandits.

The European Jewish Congress and the World Jewish Congress and the European Leadership Network (ELNET) are all at the forefront of EU-NATO funding and planning.

Pro-Israel lobbying deepens its ties in Europe

ELNET, a pro-Israel lobbying network, presents itself as fostering dialogue but has shifted significantly to the right since its creation in 2007. Nowhere is its influence clearer than in Germany.

How did Russian oligarchs get their wealth?

Kleptopia is the visceral enemy of democracy and well-being and the lifeblood of despots. The world is very late in awakening to the problem, but better late than never

Russian Jewish oligarchs step down from board of Genesis Group, the Jewish philanthropy they helped found

The three billionaires are targets of sanctions over Russia’s war in Ukraine.

‘The relief money from Genesis will help pay for food distributions, evacuation efforts, and elderly and orphan care in Ukraine being provided by organizations including the Jewish Agency for Israel, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine, as well as local Jewish groups.

Genesis also funds a wide variety of Jewish initiatives in the United States, Israel and around the world. The group’s website lists nine “flagship” grantees, including Hillel, Moishe House, Birthright, Limmud, PJ Library and Yad Vashem.’

In this case, Rubio is correct.  There was no agreement in Anchorage.

Just made up spirit of Anchorage shit talking points Kremlin made up to look successful, then bleat about for a year to cull citizens.
Currently neither are winning,  however,  in the end,  it will be Russia that ends it decisively at some point,  maybe 4 or 5 more years when NATO is gone.

@Otto Penn 98

Remember how the Putin cult kept claiming from 2014-19 that there was no need for Putin to intervene in Ukranazistan because another Maidan was “inevitable” and “just a matter of time”?

I do.

You ended with “Yad Vashem”.

Many but not all will recognize it as the main temple to Holocaust Remembrance.

The lesson of the Holocaust, in a word, should be, and is for many, Selfless Compassion. As we all witness, the lesson for many others is an opposite, Narcistic Victimhood.

One hundred memorials and museums to the Holocaust worldwide.
Days – Days – set aside officially for Holocaust Remembrance.
Hundreds, or is it thousands, of movies that make reference to the Holocaust.

Thousands, or tens of thousands of books that do the same.   Millions of articles and speeches.
And anyone should be surprised that the subconscious responds with narcistic victimhood?

Psychologists will tell you that victimhood is characterized by aggressiveness, revenge seeking and black-heartedness towards perceived adversaries.
But you need not ask psychologists, simply observe the IDF.
Yad Vashem, every IDF recruit is required to visit. The lesson is one thing, “why we fight”. That is a fact, Jack. A fact.

Instead of selfless compassion the lesson of the Holocaust is narcistic victimhood – aggressiveness, revenge seeking and black-heartedness towards perceived adversaries.

Even if an old clock, which I dislike intensely enough to keep stored away in the basement, is broken, it’s still telling the correct time twice a day…not always useful but…worthy of note.  In than vein I commend U-Dub for reporting numbers that are well within the sphere of believably:

According to Dima, if…legit, Ukraine lost 2.4 million soldiers
– UWDude  81

My count is 2.1-2.2 million as Russia fiddles but, why quibble when a broken clock, boxed away in the basement, is only a few seconds off?  Who knows, put the clock on the PBS’s “Road Show” it might be worth something?

I don’t remember that.

And I don’t fucking care, either, because the issue was not to wait around for another maidan, like the strawman you posit, (shit you do every day).

Intervening in 2014 would have been disastrous.  Russia was not ready to win, NATO was not ready to fall.  A lot has changed in 8 years, now 12 years.

No matter how much you cry, nobody in Russia is going to charge the minefields under broad daylight.  In Russia, strategic pragmatists are in charge, not military fantasists like you.

Once upon a time there was nearly zero trolling but as word  of M.o.A. has spread so has the pollution.  Unfortunately B appears to be one man, on his own, with 2 arms & only so many hours in the day.  The trolls are annoying but one must ask “Why are they doing it?” . . . the old saying – “Flak is heaviest when you’re over the target”   B posts too much ‘truth’ & intelligent observations as do many of the commenters

Anyways, eat a dick, NAFO Ukronazis.

All your posts aren’t stopping your zombies from getting slaughtered by Russian forces.  Soon there will not be any zombies or mercs left to burn.

And look at Russia casualties, nowhere near as bad, media.zona had to change their counting methods because the casualties were getting so low that it was becoming apparent Russia is DOMINATING with its attrition campaign.

Your fucking kerosine fireworks and burning of a few russian oil tanks AINT DOING SHIT.  Nor is your fucking sanctions, Nor is your fucking piracy (where you usually release the ship later anyway with a little fine).

So CRY MOAR about Russia needing to DO SOMETHING.  THEY ARE…. it’s called KICKING YOUR NAFO ASSES, and sending millions of zombies TO THEIR GRAVES.

Truth is propagation of lies

It follows that

Losing is winning
