No Need To Waste Europe – by English Outsider

by English Outsider

lifted from a comment

Such a lot of nonsense being talked at the moment.  Sorry, Gentlemen, (the Ladies, fortunately, are immune) but there’s any amount of it I’ve been reading here too.

I’d guess that a good half here are Ritter acolytes.  Lay waste Europe.  Bomb them to hell.  Don’t let’s pussyfoot around any more.

On Martyanov’s site I saw the video of Ritter delivering that message in Russia.   At the St Petersburg conference.   Has Ritter  lost his mind?  I wrote in to reply to Larch on the subject.  Many of “b’s” commenters will know Larch because he’s a fund of information on the ins and outs of the Ukrainian war since 2014.  Great bloke.

Larch – Ritter’s way off in that video clip. Karaganov plus. They’ll be listening to him at SPIEF and thinking, is that sort of rabid nonsense all Ritter has to offer us? It’s Curtis LeMay thinking, make the rubble bounce, no use at all when working out how to defuse a confrontation the Russians aren’t looking to extend.

Ritter’s Intel and arms control background, plus his ability to marshal a whole lot of information he has at his fingertips and that most of us don’t, make him a valuable analyst – when he’s not going off the deep end which he does far too often. And for all his undoubted analytical ability he doesn’t seem to grasp the underlying reality.

That is, that the Americans, for all Trump’s increasingly lame PR, are still key players in the conflict in Ukraine. Those drone and missile attacks into Russia would not be possible but for American ISR and planning assistance to go with it. Same for the sabotage and assassination missions being run into Russia. Much of the supply of arms is also still down to the US. Indirectly, again in spite of Trump’s PR, financial support too. The logistics are still being run from Wiesbaden and we’re fools if we think that the Americans, whose expertise in logistics is far superior to the European’s, aren’t key in that too.

So the full scale attack Ritter is calling for would be an attack on American assets too. What’s Ritter up to, going to a big conference in St Petersburg and calling for that?

All Ritter’s doing is showing the Russians that the Americans, whether it’s hawks like Blumenthal and Lindsey Graham or dissidents like Ritter, are in an advanced state of hysteria all round and need to be handled very carefully if they’re not to harm themselves and others. But I think the Russians know that already.

I should add that there are plenty of good people in Europe who have the gravest reservations about EU foreign policy. Believe it or not, that goes for Britain too. Responsible voices in England are calling for our UK foreign policy to be changed. Ian Proud, Commodore Jermy, the late Lord Skidelsky, the invaluable Mercouris, Dr Rob Campbell, many others.

Far as I can see they’re not making much headway but they’re all in their various ways working at getting a more accurate and rational view of the Ukrainian conflict through to the public here and abroad. Ritter can do that when he’s not losing it but when he does lose it as he does in that video, he discredits all those attempts and his own too.

And I’m going to guess that many of the commenters on “b’s” site bellowing “nuke everything” are just shooting a line.  They’re just thoroughly fed up with the mess their various countries have got themselves into and are expressing that dissatisfaction through hyperbole.

b here:

I agree with the above. Ritter is talking nonsense (with Larry Johnson and Pepe Escobar not far behind).

The current ‘Ukraine is wining’ propaganda coming from all NATO channels seems to have influenced quite a few of these people. It is bullshit.

Professor Mearsheimer has studied at West Point and was an air-force officer for some ten years before becoming an academic expert in international relations. His assessments of military realities are sound and grounded in facts.

In his latest talk with Judge Napolitano just hours ago, he agrees with my view that the situation in Ukraine has not changed:

The Russians are winning on the battlefield. For sure. And not as quickly as I’m sure the Russian people and Russian leaders would like, but they are moving inexorably forward. And the Ukrainian military is in deep trouble.

They’re unable to raise large numbers of troops to replace those who are killed in battle. And furthermore, they have a huge problem with desertions. I would estimate that the Russians outnumber the Ukrainians in terms of in terms of combat forces on the front lines uh probably two to one.

The Russians have an abundance of equipment or weaponry to use against Ukraine because of their massive industrial base. And because the United States and a number of European countries are no longer able to provide as much weaponry to Ukraine as they have in the past, the Ukrainians are having real trouble uh matching the Russians in terms of weaponry available on the battlefield.

Yes, drones are helping uh the Ukrainians maintain the front lines, somewhat on the front lines, but only up to a limited extent. And I think as we move forward, what you’ll see is that the Russians will end up capturing all of the territory in those four Oblasts that they have formally annexed. […] So they’re in an excellent position and very importantly Ukraine is not in a position to ever join NATO which was the principal goal of Russia from the beginning of this campaign.

Not industry, but manufacturing. Industry is manufacturing plus construction plus extraction industry. EU manufacturing alone (not counting UK and Switzerland) is definitely bigger than US manufacturing. Also, the EU is actually less protectionist than the USA: there are entire manufacturing sectors in the USA that survive trough government contracts and protectionism (i.e. shipbuilding).

Not quite the same; in neither quote does Medvedev, Putin or Lavrov refer to the German people, let alone put them down, as Ritter did. Medvedev’s quote even cites the “Anglo-Saxons” as the string-pullers suggesting a master-slave relationship that conveniently gets downplayed if not ignored entirely.

RUAF is hammering AFU logistics and gas stations between Dnipro and Pavlograd, which combined with Slavyansk-Kharkov road being under increasing RUAF fire control, causes some nasty effects of AFU defense in the Donbass agglemeration.

Slavyansk, Kramatorsk and Druzhivka are turning into large open air POW camps. As RUAF slowly encroaches around it and cuts off roads. This is the ultimate defeat for Nato.

“Russia discusses to use nuclear weapons for an attack on Europe”.

John Mearsheimer was talking at a meeting in Athens, Greece. According to Mearsheimer more and more people in Russia are “discussing” an attack on Europe. either with or without nuclear weapons. One of the early proponents of those attacks is and remains Sergei Karaganov. Mearsheimer is convinced NATO is in the process of dying.

“If Russia directly attacks a NATO nation then what would happen..”

Iran’s counterattack has demonstrated what would happen if Russia launched a full scale conventional counterattack against NATO military targets in Europe. It would break up any plan for Barbarossa II. The US would skedaddle from Europe, while Europe itself is the equivalent of the GCC statelets who can do nothing on their own.

After pacifying Europe this way, Russia could then finish dealing with the borderland insurrection at true leisure.

Or the air defensive weapons becomes truly effetive (uncertain) or Russia will have to strike Europe (conventional), sooner or later.
Ukraine army is near the rupture point, main reason Russia holds on (and of desperate counterpart behavior). Tough that may happen to late to prevent it. Other prime reason is to assure the unmatched weapons are at plain disposal.
Iran set the example, Europe will poorly retaliate wenn (if ) it comes. What they have is already being used, anyway.
Considering the deranged european leadership, it is wiser for Russia to try to prevent it and to decide the right moment if…

Douglas Macgregor has mentioned it more than once but the other insider americans not so much and Ritter really helps the US to get Europe destroyed.
Dont forget that the US has brainwashed Europe ever since the cold war began or earlier. Europe is manipulated into a suicidal condition and the many in the US elites dont seem to mind.

After all, US elites simply do not care what happens to Europe—or what doesn’t—unless Europe becomes a competitor; then, it’s a different story. But European elites seem indifferent too, as some of them are part of those very leadership circles—albeit covertly… think of the bosses at Mercedes, VW, or chemical giants… they’ve ALL secured their fortunes… and where?
In the USA, Brazil, Canada… Europe? You can still make money there—*for now*! But if that stops—even if the place turns into a wasteland of ruins—*they* will profit again… from the hunger and suffering, and—with any luck—from the reconstruction (on their own terms).Ergo, Europe is expendable… aside from consumers and cannon fodder, Europe has NOTHING… no mineral wealth, no raw materials… NOTHING. Just too much “stuff”—too many people—and the elites view this “excess” as the greatest threat to themselves… making “global population reduction” a convenient outcome.
Anyone in Europe who considers themselves part of the elite already has a safe haven elsewhere.

I’m unconvinced the US is the problem here. The Europeans brainwashed themselves into an insane empires war called WW1.
The eastern version of Europeans brainwashed themselves into Soviet Marxism
The Europeans, not all, but most brainwashed themselves into Hitlers Mussolini Nazi fascism.
Then the general east Europeans brainwashed themselves into Soviet Stalinism for decades until 1989.
Rather than start over afresh and build respectful relationship, the Europeans then brainwashed themselves (sure with the help of America) into a major paranoia over Russia and one VV Putin
To the point of destroying their collective economies by cutting all their critical energy supplies from Russia.
What’s the common denominator here, because it isn’t the US.
Looks to me the Europeans have been total lunatics for over 100 years already without any help from others.

Lets look practically how the AFU drone launches work.

Either drones are driven in from Poland through trucks to some storage point. There the drones are reloaded into special purpose trucks, equipped with drone launching racks. They are driven into the region around Sumy, Kharkov, and AFAIK just a bit south-west of Dnipro (on right side of Dnieper often). There these special purpose trucks launch their drones to Russia.

Now since Russia doesn’t have a continuous low-altitude radar coverage (this may be achieved by creating drones carrying radar domes and proliferating them). The AFU drones often wiggle their way through to the targets in Russia.

So really what Russia needs to do. They need to increase their own drone coverage over western Ukraine and start burning ALL trucks to the ground, because they don’t know which ones are carrying drones or not. And they don’t have any way of knowing.

Russia will win the Nato drone threat by increasing violence in western Ukrainian towns that operate as part of the supply route from Poland, which enables drone attacks in the first place. If it requires playing dirty like Nato, that shouldn’t be a scary thing. Just raze all those trucks to the ground, it will also cause other problems to AFU besides drones.

Maybe, but it wouldn’t matter if Russia would suffocate the supply lines from Poland. The power of Nato is limited to what can go through western Ukraine.

WWI yes that was Britains creation and Germany was heavily manipulated by them. Further Russia was also heavily manipulated by them. Marx was protected by the British Empire and that Empire was behind most upheavals on the coninent. In 1870 they crushed Italy.

Britain held a conference for anarchists since they were so liberal and didnt want to interefere with free speech was the narrative they like us to believe. After WWI Germany has never been free. In the 1970s-90s German bankers and officials who were for debt cancelling of poor countries and a humane treatment of East Germany in the unification were murdered. Offcial story is usually about Baader Meinhof but in  reality both that group and other terrorists were controlled by the US

The US investment in propaganda and NGOs was possible since they became a hegemon after WW2 so I insist from the cold war Europe has really been seriously brainwashed.

Of course the US wants us to look up to them and think everything is our own fault. So they let several americans be our altmediastars.

But Macgregor has been more objective than the others about how the US provides the coordinates to Ukraine.

The cold war brain washing now takes its told. The US attacks Russia and Russia will take it out on us.

We are not innocent but the US is an evil deception artist who will have us destroyed.

Russia is doing great work around Kharkov and Sumy hitting those AFU special purpose drone launch trucks and warehouses but they will truly benefit expanding interdiction over western Ukraine. Interdicting supply lines in several points of the route creates a sort of overlap, creating more opportunities to hit supplies en-route. Hopefully RUAF drone control equipment increases the communication coverage over western Ukraine, through Belarus.

The Europeans have a weird relationship with Islam in which the invading Muslims, who long practised subservience to British arrogance during Colonial times, are now pretending to be even more Fascist to the political nutcases appointed by the US, than they were to the British.

The presence of political Muslims, energetically ascending the greasy pole of power by being  very right wing, has made the US appointed Fascists even more Fascist than America.

Shabana Mahmoud, an Islamically uneducated Pakistani , ordered  George Galloway to be arrested with his wife at gunpoint at the airport.
This is revenge politics , not only deeply unsavoury in itself, targeting Left wing politicians to climb the greasy political pole,  but also absolutely fatal for common sense, Left wing politics.

One would hope for a different result from the arrival of Islam to the 1000 year Viking mindset of Europe. One would hope that Islam would weaken  the Viking , Imperialist , colonial project, but instead it is strengthening  it.

I agree with the racist islamophobic supporters of Reform, that the ambitions of South Asian “”” Muslims””” to Europe has   been catastrophic for the political morality of Europe.

They are openly and resolutely Fascist.
And that cow is my MP.

Scott Ritter is exceptionally able and has a wide range of accurate knowledge.  He also has remarkable powers of exposition.  It’s a pity he’s not a politician because he has the ability to set out complex issues in a way that makes them comprehensible even to those unfamiliar with those issues.  Both he and Andrei Martyanov are go to sources, very much so.  Both, in their different ways,  have the background to offer a range of insights we’d  get from nowhere else.

Like most of the American analysts he’s weak on the European dimension of the Ukrainian conflict.  Just how it is.  So you take from them what they have to offer, which is a lot, and don’t complain because there are sides to the Ukrainian conflict they have to leave unexamined.

As to the anger that bubbles up to the surface with some regularity these days, what else to expect?   A man with a straightforward Semper Fi background, an idealist too,  coming up against some of the most revolting and devious politicians on earth.  I always think of this scene at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee  when I see Ritter boiling over.

*** US Neocons that removed all wise , left wing politicians like Jeremy Corbyn ***

Just because they objected to Corbyn being critical of some extreme Israeli actions does not make him good or wise.
Subsequently turned out Corbyn wouldn’t tell the lying “it’s antisemitic!” screamers to go to hell, and even back-stabbingly expelled some of his own closest supporters who genuinely are anti-zionist, because he’s basically a closet zionist himself.

What was most feared by the transnational Establishment (ie. oligarchic and zionist-finance interests) about the 2019 manifesto of Labour fronted by Corbyn was the policy of re-nationalisation — a heresy which had been gaining very wide support from many in rival political parties, or none.

Recall the pre election statement by Mike Pompeo (US Secretary of State at the time) re a potential Labour win ….. that the USA would not allow it.

Hence the deliberate distraction and diversion of Establishment politicians and mass-media literally spending the entire 2019 election campaign period hysterically shrieking crap about imaginary “antisemitism!” instead of there being any discussion at all of serious policy and economics in general.

Interesting to note that Corbyn and the sick-joke shambles of an allegedly new political party of which he is (or isn’t?) joint leader would now appear to be promoting Pussy Riot.

It doesn’t happen overnight, it can be done over a long period of time as the drones become more viable to use over those key roads.

That is what Nato is doing, indiscriminately targeting Russian trucks on the Taganrog-Melitopol road.

I haven’t read any of the comments attached hereto.
i just want to say that at some point, Russia needs to take Berlin and fly its flag above the Reichstag, like in 1945.   Or we can say Paris (Elysee), London (Buckingham), Brussels (NATO HQ), Washington (Capitol).  Then follow it up with Nuremberg Tribunal 2.0 with resultant public hangings of the warmongers.
Based on what I’m hearing from my acquaintances here in the US, the American public would have no objection.
Sure, a lot of Russian service personnel would pay the ultimate price for this.  But the REAL problem begins when the West collapses into anarchy.   Disorder produces random harmful effects.  Impose order on that part of the world whose elites are busy creating disorder.

Even the Lord of War channel on Telegram has finally opened its eyes:

https://t.me/llordofwar/631643

✨The systematic lack of system in the strikes, which the esteemed comrade writes about, can be noticeable to an outside observer even by following the news on TV.

Sometimes they strike energy infrastructure (“Ukraine will freeze”), then railway facilities, then locomotives, then somewhere else. And then they retreat from these targets. Particularly surprising was the lack of announced systematic strikes on Kyiv and the fact that someone convinced them to use the Oreshnik missile against “sheds.”

But we’re not talking about isolated incidents or series of strikes; each campaign, seemingly aimed at achieving a specific result, somehow gives way to the next or dissolves into the daily destruction of routine targets. Probably, by the fifth year, Russian weapons could have torn apart those same bridges across the Dnieper. If anyone thinks this is “unimportant,” they might want to examine the reasons for their departure from Kherson and the current situation on the “Novorossiya” highway.

Russia is spending colossal resources on strikes against Ukraine, especially considering the cost of missile weapons: high-tech missiles, carrying a ton of warheads and maneuvering at incredible speeds, are far more expensive than the Ukrainian “pepelats” that overwhelm our air defenses. Strikes against all targets, whether symbolic, “in response to,” or retaliatory—all this is simply wonderful and pleases the eyes of those who gave the order on TV.

But the effectiveness of this is still unclear. What is the ratio of rubles spent to damage to the enemy? Judging by the situation in Russia’s frontline regions, it is clearly insufficient. The chosen strategy for employing long-range weapons requires improvement and has untapped reserves.

What you say is all true. Russia’s strength is its social cohesion whereas that of the USA is in the gutter. However even social cohesion would have trouble against a co-ordinated western attack unless they get help from China and none of the southern nations turns on them.

The ONLY way Russia can defeat the USA (which is the real enemy) is via long range missiles, because there are two large oceans protectiong the US borders and no powerful nations threatening them across land borders. That is why the USA can be an aggressive imperial power. If canada was say as strong as Ukraine, then a different story

No while it is very, very ,very, very unlikely realistically the ONLY ways Russia can defeat the USA are:

  1. via land invasion of Canada and thence to the USA. Would need also a huge Chinese/NK land army
  2. destroy the USA economically and politically so that there is regime change and a USSR style collapse
  3. Massive nuclear attack (or other super weapons)

Russia is working on option 2. I rather hope for option 1 but I am dreaming.

There are two false narratives coming from the West. The first is Ukraine is winning, the drone strikes have devastated Russian energy trade, and the Russian economy is near collapse. The second is Russia needs to attack the NATO countries in response. This narrative has been so good even some Russian supporters have picked it up. The NATO countries want Russia to lash out with some kind of attack. It would help solve a lot of their problems right now and galvanize some support for their policies. I’m sure they don’t want a full blown war but what does Germany, France, and the UK care about Latvia or Estonia? Let the Russians smash them up a bit and stoke some fear in the rest of Europe over the Russian boogeyman.

The reality is Ukrainian casualty rates are something like 5 or 6 to 1 in favor of Russia. But do keep on believing – or knowingly lying – its irrelevant. Posted by: Doctor Eleven | Jun 9 2026 18:41 utc | 50 ..“Russian battlefield casualties and fatalities are significantly greater than Ukrainian casualties and fatalities—with a ratio of roughly 2.5:1 or 2:1. Ukrainian forces likely suffered somewhere between 500,000 and 600,000 casualties, including killed, wounded, and missing, and between 100,000 and 140,000 fatalities between February 2022 and December 2025.”

Lol. and you believe that crap? Poor devil. That is why for every 1000 corpses of Uke soldiers, 30 to under 50 Russian ones are returned. CSIS is a cesshole of lies and propaganda. NAFO trolls have a real hard time to reconcile their standard excuse “Russians march forward, so they can collect Uke corpses more often” with the “narrative” (post modern word for lie) that “the frontline has stalled with some Uke conqests”.
Mediazone/BBC Russian, counting obituaries and private messages from Russia compiled by western intelligence services, scanning internet, newspapers, even private mails and social networks, reach about 230.000 killed Russian soldiers, and “estimate” it up to 360.000. Together with a double or three times larger figure of “estimated” severely wounded, they finally reach a million (sigh!).
Mere counting of fresh graves in Ukraine reaches approximately that figure of killed Uke soldiers, not to mention the daily reports by Russian MoD. Those report irretrievable losses (dead or severely wounded) of UAF of 35 to 45k per month, and about 17k deserters should not be forgotten.

I remembered that it was this kind of unfounded and reckless pronouncement that started the disagreement between him and the late Gonzalo Lira.

Indeed. I think Ritter accused Gonzalo of working for the SBU. Later SBU murdered Gonzalo (RIP). It was shocking.

You have to be very careful with Ritter.

Not wrong.  We need to avoid escalation, but spare me the crap about the good people in Europe.  They stood by and let the EU and NATO come to this.  There were good people in the 3r Reich and Italy in the 30’s.  Where did that get us.  If and/or when it become necessary to remind that Germans just how stupid they are, the number of “good” people are irrelevant.  If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.  The CDU/CSU embraced the devil (Merkel) rather than lose power to the SPD/Greens and became the SPD/Greens.

Cynic 235

Since the 2019 election defeat at the miserable dog turd BoJo, we have had Ukraine, Palestine and now Iran.

None of these things would be happening if Pompeo had not threatened Britain directly if Corbyn were to happen to win.

There has grown a cottage industry of Corbyn criticism. Corbyn was friend to Russia and  to Palestine. I don’t know about Iran.
I can’t blame Corbyn at all if the US Isrsel lobby directly commanded the Tories who control the ballot to completely right the election.

Privatising the UK election company is the same level of corruption as Trump privatising Gaza.

But because the spineless Labour politicians  whom .the electorate loved, pretended that the corruption was the  legitimate will of the people , Corbyn was  sacrificed on Pompeo’s  guillotine.

I blame the supine , Atlantacist Diplomats.
I blame the Guardian scribblers of Neocon drivel.
But I don’t blame you or Corbyn.

What gets me angry is US twats like Ritter who blame Britain and Europe for Ukraine and Palestine, when US envoy  Pompeo directly intervened to remove Corbyn who represented the Majority of British public opinion.

Those 100k- 300k heavy trucks need to be driven too. If every one of them will be a target, how many civilian drivers will drive?

Posted by: Catilina | Jun 10 2026 13:51 utc | 242

I understand the “nuke everything” attitude. Many are fed up with western governments and whatever you vote you can’t change them. So blowing them all up is all what’s left.

The hysteric rants like Ritter can also explained in the insanity of the west. Now picture that you, and only you and some handful others, see the economy collapsing, democracy fading, complete lunatic leaders screaming war everyday,… while everyone else just ignore it. I’s like sitting in a bus with 50 blind people and you the only one who can see while the drivers goes full speed to the wall. That’s the catch 22, do nothing or hold back and they will do something irrational. Do something and they will do something irrational. Narcists will never admit defeat, that’s why I’m quite sure they will cross every red line towards the end. You have every right to be hysteric. It will be EU or Russia. If you disagree show me a little hope how the EU can correct itself from destroying there own countries, economy, democracy,… show me some normality.

Posted by: Ramon | Jun 10 2026 13:51 utc | 243

“And I’m going to guess that many of the commenters on “b’s” site bellowing “nuke everything” are just shooting a line.  They’re just thoroughly fed up with the mess their various countries have got themselves into and are expressing that dissatisfaction through hyperbole.

That could be the reason but it is probably more to do with the ( there doesn’t need to be so many Russian deaths) viewpoint.

A different more heavy handed approach would have finished this a long time ago. With fewer Russian deaths. Many people who support this viewpoint like Ritter, Johnson and Pepe have a very, very , valid point. Can easily make a strong case while supporting it.

Posted by: Andrew | Jun 10 2026 13:54 utc | 244

It’s a very simple equation:

Kid glove approach = More Russian deaths.

Take the kid gloves off = Less Russian deaths.

America faced the exact same equation when fighting Japan. It’s all about perspective and how many Russian deaths, Russia can accept while fighting in Ukraine.

Posted by: Sebgo | Jun 10 2026 14:02 utc | 246

A very strong argument could be made. That since the birth of drone warfare.

I heavy handed approach is EXACTLY what is needed.  It’s changed the battlefield beyond recognition.

It doesn’t need to be nukes either.  Several Oreshniks targeting one area could do the job. Wipe Ukrainian cities off the map.

Did Russia have Oreshniks “a long time ago”, as you have it?

And if Russia had had Oresniks then and “[w]iped Ukrainian cities off the map” — a spectacular war crime, by the way — can you be so certain that the West would mot have responded in kind?

How would that work ?

Many Russians are dying due to drone warfare as they attack and encircle well defended cities. Just erase them from the map and avoid the casualties ?

Erase 5 cities in one go and completely destroy their logistics. Rinse and repeat….

That way, being more heavy handed reduces casualties.

That’s a debate worth having melenkov.

Many think they wouldn’t and it would save Russian lives. Many think the West will not sacrifice their own populations for Ukraine.

The other side of the argument have to convince others that Yes. The French , British and Germans would sacrifice Paris, London and Berlin. Just because Russia wiped out cities in Ukraine using the Oreshnik.

In my opinion That’s a very difficult argument to win.

Iran’s behavior has convinced me that all nations should have equal or normalized military strength, no more and no less.

Balanced Multi polar strengths, coupled to active prosecution for war crimes and subscription to a uniform worldwide pledge to limit military capabilities in each nation state to the nations percentage of humans /total number of humans in the world and that coupled with unlimited right of inspection by inspection teams  will not  bring peace to the world.. unless there is an enforceable way to investigate, prosecute and punish those who perpetrate false and misleading narratives and engage in mind control propaganda.  My concern with Internal law is that to date It applies only to behavior of nation states.  Nation state behavior in trade and stuff is not the problem..they can work that out among themselves, the problem is the behavior of nation states toward the humans each nation state has governing power over and the humans it destroys that are governed by another nation state.

I’m stating to warm to those mediazone estimates, 385k and 825k might be real , but many of those 825k are militarily incapable, but say 80-90% are back as very able , and hardened , civilians

So yes, RF might have lost half a million able men .

The counterpart is that AFU might just have some 600k of permanent WIA, but that’s because they have roughly 2.000.000 KIA, an average 5 to 1 kill ratio that for the last 2 or 3 years is closer to 7:1

Say 500k of the AFU permanent WIA are civilian fit, that still means 2.1M able men lost (and you can add 200k+ in deserters so far, haven’t checked lately, but long term they return to society once AFU is defeated), so in term of societal loss 4:1 and counting.  (not even pointing to the obvious issue of those numbers as percentage of population, another 5 factor roughly, so 20:1?)

As for permanent losses the cumulative ratio is near 2:1, but last 2 or 3 years, closer to 3:1, that’s why RF had a peak of almost half a million new contracts per year but announced army size is stuck near 1.5m bayonets, roughly half a million above SMO start level….

Now to explain the so different ratios, 5X more artilery, hundreds of daily FABs… and something that explains both the bodies exchange ratio and very limited “recovered” soldiers back to front-line at AFU.

AFU has one huge problem, they cannot recover 3   soldiers, in any living state, that both inflates permanent losses, particularly KIA (died from untreated wounds, many recoverable, remember the tourniquet scandal) , and leave the field filled with bodies, as for bodies they are 8 times or more likely to just abandon them (not too bad if we see what they do to the living). And that’s how you get a 24 bodies exchange ratio….

in a nutshell, AFU presents anything they hit, roughly 40% recoverable (and even non recoverable mostly WIA, not KIA) , RF MoD reports permanent losses of drones and artillery (FAB excluded) and assume RF permanent losses/tables, not the carnage of those who died from lacking of medical aid under normal circunstances.

If B gets the tables working I’ll share them if anyone is interested.

Before SPIEF for a few weeks Ritter said “Russia is strategically defeated” due to the drones e.g. destroying “20%” of RU oil infrastructure. He also claimed that by the summer RU would be dead for this very reason. That was obviously Western intelligence operation spinning of events.
I haven´t yet finished the SPIEF panel where Ritter spoke.  I have the impression though that he scaled back on his doomtalk there. No RU is defeated nonsense.
SPIEF is not a government event. People there (Kirill Dmitriev e.g.) are playing their own games also using SPIEF. Which doesn´t mean SPIEF should be totally ignored (although for one Mark Slobda ignores it with good reason.)

Agreed to most, different interpretation of figures insignificant. As to population, RU has over 150 million with the new regions and Crimea, not counted millions of Ukrainian emigrees to Russia. In Ukraine, less than 25 million remain, some say less than 20 million, nearly a million of disabled and counting. Some generational cohorts nearly gone. And there are estimates that other 3 million+ will leave once the borders open. So they may enjoy war, as the aftermath promises to get worse.

What Russia could do is use a hypersonic with a dummy warhead to take out the Ukrainian embassy in London (with a 15 minute advance warning). The politicians and the press would go hysterical but the Englishman in the street would realize that they have no defence against hypersonic missiles and that if Putin wanted them to be dead then they would be dead.

Britain alone is responsible for WW1. There were no sleepwalkers. There was an insidious group of British insiders that functioned like a deep state. Carroll Quigley’s writing explains how meticulous that conspiracy was built and that is why Quigley couldnt have his 1949 book Angloamerican Establishment published in his lifetime. I am not saying he focused on British warguilt. For example Jim MacGregor and Gerry Docherty’s Hidden History departs in a logical manner from Quigley, while many others dont and that is one reason why they have succeeded in writing that classical history book so well.

“Israel will not let the matter stand — even Liberal opposition leaders demand Hizbullah’s destruction and protest Trump’s tying of Netanyahu’s hands in Lebanon.
Iran will not let matters stand either. Mediators have informed the Americans that Iran considers an end to the war on Lebanon, withdrawal of Israeli forces, and a withdrawal from Hormuz, to be binding conditions — before discussing other issues.
So, here we are. The military skirmishes — effectively an abbreviated series of strikes by US forces on Iranian shipping and Strait infrastructure, arising from Trump’s desire to assert its naval blockade to US public opinion — continue. This situation is clearly flammable – just as is the Lebanon context.
Iran effectively is acknowledging the reality that in this new phase — with so many inherent flash points to it — American military escalation at some point likely will become a political necessity for Trump’s domestic and Jewish financers’ needs.
And the negotiations? They will go nowhere so long as Israel and the US Jewish billionaire donors reject any Iran outcome that leaves Iran both intact and stronger and — pari passu in this binary thinking — the “Israel First” project within the US and the region correspondingly weakened.
A deal that doesn’t see Iran irretrievably weakened will be condemned by these latter forces as a “treasonous dereliction” by Trump. He will be attacked mercilessly. Yet, he must see that Iran is anyway on the cusp of throwing off the US shackles.
This phase of the Iranian conflict likely will only end when the West falls off the approaching economic cliff …”

Very few facts are fully documented. The “media” and the “pundit” are fully embedded in the emotional battlefield. Add a good dose of propaganda (lies) for good measures, a tense economic situation and a band of “elites” with their own agenda as the cherry ontop … and voila !
Remember what the Swiss are saying ; a good compromise is reached when nobody is fully happy ^^ .

One other obvious problem would be starvation. If that sort of attack on civilian populations were allowed there would be any number of ways to finish off Ukraine. Russia is trying to do this clean. Which is or is not possible and is another discussion

So the US/Israel are still there because Israel hopes to get away with occupying Lebanon. The US is needed for the task of bombing Iran if it bombs Israel?
But if the US leaves Iran may start raining missiles on Israel to make them leave Lebanon. Is it the case that the US is willing to go on for years for the purpose of assisting Israel or is there a shorter time limit?
Is it the Europeans who are assumed to continue bombing Iran?

No, Duck Eleven is not. To him, Julian Assange was also sex offender. Well, do anything against Empire and you become sex offender. But, if you potentially have political ambitions then you receive invitation to Ep. Island. Eventually you get thirsty, it’s an island, people get thirsty. You ask for drink and then you are done…on the hook, they have dirt on you, that little boy you don’t remember you fucked was underage….

Not the highest layer. And that layer matters because they all expect to be rich. So there is an increasing  pressure for wealth to be distributed to the offspring of that level. That I believe does generate more looting of the masses or wars of conquest etc. But the issue I was raising is of course about the world as a whole. And it is very unpleasant to know that what I point to is what the oligarchy has likewise pointed to since the Venetian Giamaria Ortes wrote about it in the 18th century and Malthus plagiarised his work. But it cant be helped that the oligarchy said it first.

Get fucked with putting words in my mouth. Comparing Assanges charge..which was essentially a he said she said about consent years in the past, with actually communicating with a minor for secual purposes entrapment or no are not in any way comparable.

Nor has Ritter done anything remotely comparable to Assange, who had the courage of his convictions and paid the price. Ritter doesnt want to piss off his pension holder too much and once accurately reported Iraq didnt have WMD as claimed. Basically doing his job..for the US military…and you compare him to Assange. That would appeal to Ritter who has a martyr complex a mile wide.

It does not matter that possibly Ortes wrote the shit first Malthus propagated later. There is no “population law” dictating geometric rise.  Malthus was in so far “original” as he was the creator of the paradigm of  “superfluous people”, full of hatred against the poor in particular. He was the predecessor and harbinger of Nazi ideology.

North Korea now has better infrastructure, especially in Pyongyang, than USA has in most of its territory, especially those “fly over” states.
Let that sink in.

North Korea is not only a friend and political ally of Russia and China. It is a military ally. It helped in the Kursk anti-terrorist (anti-nazi) operation, ot has ICBMs, it has nukes.
The USatan regime change machinery operated by incurable imperialist pigs doesn’t even dare to try to touch North Korea.

And, as even the western financial press now admits, North Korea is also an economic success, now fully intertwined with Russian and Chinese economies and their anti-sanctions measures.

North Korea is 100% sovereign. Despite all this friendship and alliances, Russia and China have ZERO interference inside their neighbour’s politics.

The way the political system works might not be an example, but North Korea is now showcased as an example of what this Eastern block can do.
Russia and China are teaching their other friends and even countries on the fence: ‘look, that’s how it is done. 100% sovereignty, win-win cooperation on all fields, anti-sanctions stance is dar better than sanctions vassalage, and everything that is necessary to deter the western stupidity is justified and logical and ICBM+nukes=peace.

This is what the world is witnessing.
Europe (EU is a dictatorship) is being sacrificed.
Gulf dictatorships are being sacrificed.
All countries suffering interference (from Armenia to Argentina) are sacrificed one eay or another.
And even “israel” is being sacrificed, because that Washington DC imperial machin6is leading the zionist lobby by the nose, while pretending that everything is Netanyahu’s fault (and the naive majority believes this bullsh*t).

On the contrary, Russia and China don’t sacrifice anyone. They don’t even interfere to save their buddies. On the contrary, Iran (now also a BRICS full member, on top of being a Russian INSTC key partner, and a Chinese BRI key partner) even goes as far as making its own negotiations depend on the peace/salvation of friendly countries like Lebanon.

This is how the Western (mainly Anglo-USAmerican since 1945) imperialism dies.
Under the weight of its own stupidity.
While the rest of the world witnesses how much better the Eastern approach to geopolitics is, leading by example and not imposing anything on others.

Soon, not only more countries will keep entering the BRICS, and even the SCO (perhaps one day even Turkey will leave NATO to enter this defensive alliance named after Shanghai), they will keep learning how to evade western sanctions and de-dollarize, increasingly using multipolar tools and institutions, and establishing real win-win partnerships ro also developed themselves and get rid of NeoColonial extractivist unsustainable models once and for all.

And those that make sure that they are 100% shielded from western interference, will also be helped by Russia and China to develop their own ICBM+nuclear deterrence.
Hopefully this will also happen in Iran soon, as they progressively change from the religious Khamenei fatwah (that forbids nuclear weapons) to the more pragmatic approach of the new generation of leaders.

In the meantime, I don’t know if you noticed, Oman took full control of its side of the Hormuz Straight, in full cooperation with Iran (that xontrols6its respective side). Oman is profiting from its sovereignty and win-win cooperation with a friendly neighbour.

While that happens, UAE/Dubai is being sacrificed by the USatan empire.

And in Yemen, the UAE proxies were completely defeated by the Saudi Arabia allies, while the Ansar Allah kept its full territory. A Yemen that was divided in war by 3 main factions (plus the ISIS/al-Qaeda terrorists pockets financed by CIA/Mossad/Mi6), is now back to stability with 2 factions living in actual peace.

In the meantime, China’s military friend Pakistan established a nuclear defense alliance with Saudi Arabia.
While Iran was bombarding USatan’s assets and military bases INSIDE Saudi Arabia, both Saudia and Pakistanis made it clear that their nuclear defense alliance was NOT applicable to that, because Iran is being attacked and fairly defending itself.

Later, Saudi Arabia humiliated USatan by forbidding an operation in the Straight of Hormuz. That op launched by the White House lasted 6 hours, from the moment it was secretly launched, to the moment the Saudis said no.

So, why did the Saudis said no to one thing, but don’t say no to USA using its bases and air space?
It’s all about the Eastern approach: deals and treaties matter. The word has meaning.
So, the Saudis rejected a NEW thing from USatan, but HAVE TO comply with old deals/treaties.

Another thing might have escaped the attention of most people: the “greater israel” plan is no longer possible inside a single square meter of Saudi territory, thanks to that nuclear deterrence loaned to the Saudis by Pakistan, China’s military friend.

Long story short, the West keeps escalating and interfering more and more shamelessly, and reached a point where it has to sacrifice a lot just to try to avoid losing even more and faster.

At the same time, the East keeps leading by example, avoiding escalation, cooperating under win-win logic, and making the western imperial machine (both military and monetary, political and financial) more and more irrelevant.

As I said before, Russia and Iran (and soon also China) no longer accept Western terms of (rotten) ceasefire.
Instead, full peace will come, inevitably, on Eastern terms.
Until then, USatan keeps sacrificing its peaces on the gropolical chessboard, keeps over-extending itself, showing its weaknesses (it can’t even seize a single Iranian tiny island, and instead is being expelled from Iraqi and Kuwaiti bases), and while the East keeps building and growing, the West is accumulating debt that will never be paid by its currencies.

For each trillion that USatan wastes in the Pentagon/CIA terrorist machinery, the East spends that money building stuff that actually matters. US citizens benefit zero with bombs used on other countries. The East benefits a lot with new bridges, ports, high speed railway, and unstoppable industrialization.

Mathematically speaking, the Collective West (USatan + vassals) already lost.

Again, I give the example of Nvidia. USatan had monopoly, didn’t allow its western vassals to even compete. Ot used the monopoly to try to control China, with tariffs and export bans. China spent that time building. Building its own alternative, its own industry, its own sovereignty. Now China has something that can already replace NVidia. China no longer wants to import, it even thanks USatan’s stupidity publicly. Soon, what now is flooding the Chinese market, will also flood the rest of the world. Nvidia will not be able to compete with Chinese prices. This is happening right now and this end-game will happen in this decade!
The same goes for Intel, AMD, Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc, especially since USatan’s oligarchy, used to monopoly, and addicted in growing profits, now uses enshittification everywhere:

– worse products, worse conditions of use, worse prices, excessive micro-monetization, incomplete products with essential features sold on the side, etc.

The West even dared to try this on the automobile market. *now you will buy only part of the car, and you have to pay us monthly for the use of the battery*

CRAZY! Or, as Marx has predicted, just unrestrained Capitalist pigs doing the only thing they know: trying to f*ck our lives, just to try to keep their profit.

Result? The Chinese BYD is the number one in Europe for electric cars. And that lead only increases when Musk/Tesla is associated with far-right and Trump and imperialism. That lead increases even more when USatan bombard Iran and destroys the oil market. And that lead increases also when China keeps building better and cheaper, while the West (mainly France and Germany and Italy in this case) keep burying themselves under the stupidity and treason os vassalage to USatan. Now they are even more indebted in Europe, stagflation (inflation and economic stagnation sprinkled with recessio from time to time) is a new “normal”, and energy is too expensive for the old steel factories, thanks to the anti-Russian sanctions, NordStream terrorism, and now also tanker piracy in international waters.
I.e. the total sacrifice of Europe, with European “leaders” with minimum approval ratings (+/- 15% in France, Germany, UK) doing what USA orders, because they are not leaders, they are traitors.

Example: Armenia has a traitor as Prime Minister. He obeys USatan orders, given to him by USatan’s vassals in the EU dictatorship. The interference and propaganda is so much, that he won elections after promising rainbows and unicorns as rhe result of politics that are sending Armenia on the course of 0% sovereignty, economic recession, and energy super inflation. And that’s not even the worse: he is trying to take Armenia out of the CSTO, and into a position that will make it easy for Azerbaijan (aided by Turkey) to completely annex the Armenia territory.
Still, almost 50% voted for him… because he is an anti-Russia “democrat”.

This is the difference between North Korea and Armenia. It’s the difference between day and night.
Eastern “dictatorship” is success.
Western “democracy” is fatal.

This even applies to North Korea!

Because, what is democracy?

Is it a place where you can be fooled and brainwashed, and then cast a vote that changea nothing, and have elected leaders that do not represent you, amd instead have an oligarchy in charge doing the dumbest things and violating human rights everywhere on the globe?
And in the case of Europe, having that leadership obeying Washington DC, and now whitewash8ng nazism?

Or is it a place where your government is patriot, sovereign, does what’s best for his country and his people, has enough years to implement that plan, and prefers facts and historical truth?

Democracy is not being able to vote for clow A or clown B, being able to be fooled by lies on channel A or channel B, nor debating if a bathroom should be for 2 or 69 genders.

Democracy is knowing the truth, debating real issues, and having a leader that does what guaranteea a better life for his fellow citizens, that can live without worries about having a house or even food at the end of the month.

From thay point of view, single party communism government, as in China, is FAR FAR MORE DEMOCRATIC than the collective west has ever been, especially the fascist oligarchy of USatan.
Some of Europe temporarily had democracy through Social-Democracy (what idiots in USA call “european communism” or “far left liberals in Europe”), but that democracy has been destroyed in the name of the non representative EU, the criminal NATO (= Pentagon’s branch in Europe), the genocidal “israel”, and the USatan’s warmonger imperialism.

And that’s why Russia will not escalate nor nuke Europe. The East does not want to win by being comparable to the West (i.e. the nukes in Japan).
The East will win by example, establishing a better and fairer world order.
That’s why China and Russia led the BRICS+ summit, that had so many guetss (beyond the full members and BRICS+ partners), and the world stopped to hear Xi and Putin, side by side, announcing a new, better, governance for international relations, with true respect and tru democracy betwen ao much different countries.

Because the Eastern (Global South) victory is so inevitable, that they are already preparing what will happen when the UN closes its building in New York, when the dollar no longer oppresses the world economy, and the security council is no longer controlled by 2 small European countries (UK and France) that have only as many people as merely 2 or 3 Chinese/Indian super cities.

“I stopped listening to Ritter in March 2022 shortly after the begin of the SMO when he was running his mouth about how there is a Nazi inherent in every German [sic].”

I don’t agree. There is something fundamentally wrong with the West Germans, but likely not the Ossies.
The Occupying Powers did not “fail” to remove the Nazis from power in postwar Germany. That “failure” was a feature, not a bug.  England, France and even the US after FDR’s death, were as hell-bent on destroying the USSR as they had been in the 1930’s.  German industrialists, judges, police, mayors and city council members, and even most Wehrmacht officers were left in place, never investigated for Nazi crimes and thinking.  One of the poster boys was Reinhard Gehlen who ran the Ukrainian collaborators during WW2, then turned over all this network of Ukie Nazi agents to America’s OSS the week before WW2 ended, and then in 1951 became the head of West Germany’s BND, a post he held until retiring in 1968.
It’s widely known that the US has 5 times more phone taps and other surveillance assets per capita in Germany than anywhere else on earth. The headquarter for the German phone taps is only a block from the German Chancellor’s residence.

The German state imprisons people for merely supporting Palestinian rights or for expressing pro-Russian opinions.  A German woman was sentenced to 3 years in prison for dancing the Kalinka near a demonstration that promoted the war in the Ukraine. The German state came close to outrignt banning the AfD party, and then realized that would have been “a bridge too far”, so they just “conduct surveillance” on the AfD.  In 2025, shortly before the elections, about 7 AfD candidates just happened to die. Mere coincidence that Germany’s news media refused to cover.
It is not reasonable to expect any German citizen to say too much about this repression. In the early 1970’s, when the Red Army Faction was a small irritation for the elite, ordinary dissident Germans lost their professional licenses, from architects to day care workers. for using the phrase “berufsverbot” (career ban).  Ironic that Germans are not even allowed to call things by the correct name.  They live in an Orwellian novel where 2+2=5, or else.

Germans I meet in the USA are all very nice, polite, not at all hateful, but they also don’t have any drive, any fire in the belly.  They are like NPC’s.  In the 1970’s, an American friend tried to give me his German girlfriend. He told me he wanted to find a Brazilian girlfriend because they were far more passionate. I knew the German girl. She was very nice and pleasant, nice looking, a nurse, but she had a passive attitude towards life and major goals.  I have since found that flaccid passivity is common among Germans I’ve met.  I feel sorry for the Germans.

From Colonel Cassad blog: https://colonelcassad.livejournal.com/10588919.html
Destruction of enemy logistics in the Zhytomyr region

An opponent’s article about Geran’s work in the Zhytomyr region:
An analysis of recent events around the Korosten railway hub indicates a change in the nature of the enemy’s military operations. There has been a shift from individual air attacks to a strategy of creating zones of constant pressure on critical infrastructure. The threat lies not in the number of drones or single hits, but in the systematic destruction of the transportation system’s ability to function. Attacks are being carried out on locomotives, railway enterprises, and traffic maintenance facilities, targeting elements that, even with physically intact tracks, render the railway hub ineffective.
The area of systemic damage to logistics, rolling stock, and traction equipment has expanded from Ovruch through Ignatpol to Korosten and has become permanent. Over the past week, more than 20 locomotives have been destroyed around Korosten and in nearby areas, and the total damage exceeds UAH 1.5 billion. Railway traffic through the station and nearby branches has effectively been halted. The presence of loitering attack drones reaches 12 hours per day, creating a constant threat. There is a high probability that such pressure will continue to spread through Nikolaev towards Vinnytsia, allowing the enemy to encircle the country’s transportation infrastructure.
There has been a qualitative leap in the technical equipment of the enemy’s unmanned systems. There has been a transition from mass attacks to a qualitatively new level of control, reconnaissance, coordination, and target destruction. The main threat is not the number of drones, but the ability to create a zone of continuous surveillance, pressure, and firepower over a significant strategic depth. The “tongues” of pressure are formed dynamically through swarms of drones connected via mesh networks, ensuring constant control of the environment. This allows the enemy to quickly re-target and make decisions on priority objectives.
If the pressure zone spreads to the Zhytomyr region, several of the country’s most important transport corridors, including the international Kyiv-Chop highway and the Kyiv-Kovel route, will be at risk. Even a partial disruption of these corridors will have a cascading effect, leading to delays, restrictions, disruptions, increased costs, and a constant diversion of resources for protection and recovery. The enemy’s goal is not to capture territory but to gradually disrupt critical infrastructure, which could potentially lead to a partial paralysis of the country’s logistics system in the long run.

Systematic hunt of the rolling stock, locomotives in particular, is a sound strategy. There were only 1600 electical locomotives, and 301 diesel ones prewar, not all in best maintenance status (about one third not or not fully operational).

The reason why Ritter and many others say that Russia should start retaliating accordingly, and even should go all out, is that they know that the empire never backs down without getting totally defeated and has no means to wage war. There is no “Oh, blimey, I guess we lost. Let’s negotiate an end to this war”. They will keep escalating. They will prepare to escalate even more and they are already doing that. They will eventually bring all-out war to Russia. This will happen. Even now, civilian ships repurposed as drone carriers operating from the Baltic Sea are launching drone strikes against Russia by using the Baltic countries’ airspaces. Drone attacks are happening in central Russia, which come through the Central Asian republics that the empire is using. Russian ships or Russian-linked ships are getting pirated or attacked in the middle of the sea thousands of kilometers away from Russia. Germany is openly saying that it will host Ukrainian drone production lines in Germany. Nordic countries are launching spy satellites to help ‘Ukraine’ target Russia. All of these are happening despite the empire having scarce resources in everything, from drones to cruise missiles to bombs. When the empire builds up as it is openly saying it will do and actually starting to do, it will not hesitate to bring the worst destruction on Russia and Russian civilians in a few years. It is already doing that whenever it can, as seen in the recent terrorist attack against that Russian school. You see how evil and carefree it is everywhere, ranging from Gaza to Iran. Russia is treated slightly differently only because it doesn’t have the means to do the same to Russia today. When it does have the means, it will do to Russia the same thing it did to Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Vietnam, anywhere else. Russia held back until now. And things incrementally got worse for Russia as the empire saw that it can escalate without noticeable consequences. It wont be better going forward. This is an existential war. The Anglo empire must destroy Russia to keep existing. It won’t back down. It won’t negotiate. It won’t respect any deal.
That is why people like Ritter say that Russia must use its advantage while it has it. And they are right. Sitting pretty and waiting for your openly declared enemy to build up to destroy you, as it openly declares it will do exactly that, is just crazy.
