The US and Israelis especially have no intrest in concluding hostilities.
Except that in the meantime oil reserves are running dry.
Ships need maintenance.
But anyway.
The fuck ups will continue until everything goes down the swanee.

Ooops! Forgot to include a quote from the piece:

The document noted that all students at every Christian college and every congregant at “every major church” in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado has been spied on through their phone’s location data, and targeted with propaganda extolling Israel’s “moral superiority” and “linking the Palestinian population with extremist factions.” The campaign estimates that it has reached well over eight million Americans.

Netanyahu’s War on Iran was a Pitch for Israel To Become the Trading Alternative to Hormuz. It Failed. https://mondoweiss.net/2026/06/netanyahus-war-on-iran-was-a-pitch-for-israels-future-and-it-failed/ “Netanyahu has staked Israel’s economic future on becoming a Mediterranean trade hub to replace the Strait of Hormuz. The war on Iran was supposed to make that possible, but it consumed the fiscal space, US backing and Gulf capital needed for it.”

Wars don’t always have a single cause or motive, was the above the most significant motive?
Netanyahu’s Feb 28th decapitation attack was intended to close the Strait of Hormuz.

What’s going on with oil and dollar?

Did Iran start selling oil in dollars, both increasing supply, and increasing demand for dollars, driving oil down and dollar up? Doubt that to be the case but you never know of backroom dealings.

Netanyahu’s War on Iran was a Pitch for Israel To Become the Trading Alternative to Hormuz.

This hypothesis is interesting, given that this pipeline project actually exists.

We also know that, contrary to their lies, the Israelis and Americans were well aware that Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz, if only because they had announced it several times well before the Twelve-Day War.

However, for “Netanyahu’s scheme” as presented to secure his pipeline to have any chance of succeeding, the following conditions would have to be met:

1) The majority of Middle Eastern oil would have to go to Europe, which would justify a pipeline terminating in Israel on the Mediterranean.
Currently, other destinations that do not pass through the Mediterranean are the majority.

2) The cost of transport by pipeline would have to be lower than that of tankers using the Suez Canal.
This is not the case.

3) The pipeline option would have to be an alternative to closing the Strait of Hormuz.

This is not the case, because as long as Iran, which is the one that can close the strait, remains involved, no country in the region, including Israel, represents a haven of peace.

Regardless of how long the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, no one can believe that in the event of a new crisis, an oil port in Israel would be spared, thus justifying investment in a pipeline that would terminate there.
Egypt would be a more logical endpoint, and even then, a pipeline can be bombed.

The hypothesis therefore remains largely hypothetical.

🔴What kind of people are your soldiers who would allow a 14 year old child to bleed to death over a 45 minute period?
🔴What kind of people are your military leaders that would inculcate a culture that soldiers feel free to do this, acting with total impunity?

Good analysis, I expect, though, that Netanyahu wants ‘yes men’ as advisors. Dollar signs can cloud reason.

March 20, 2026
Israeli officials had hoped the current crisis would create an opportunity for deeper regional cooperation and position Israel as a key energy corridor between Asia and Europe.

https://www.ynetnews.com/article/h1ti5bj9bx

According to Israeli officials, the pipeline concept has been discussed for years, including during U.S. President Donald Trump’s first term. The proposal envisioned a roughly 700-kilometer pipeline from the Saudi city of Yanbu, crossing Jordan to Eilat, and then linking to the Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline, which would carry oil to the Mediterranean and European markets.
As an interim solution, the plan also considered transporting oil by tanker to Eilat, before transferring it overland to Ashkelon.

…thought so….
On March 20th I had posted this (somewhere)

Was it always about Bibi’s pipe dream?
For years Netanyahu has promoted the idea of making Israel the chock point instead of Iran.
Netanyahu has long proposed that everyone send their oil via pipelines to Israel’s ports. This would give Israel the ability to cut off oil exports for anyone objecting to Israel’s policies.Plus there are nice transit fees that can be manipulated.
Bib’s plan calls for the Arab pipelines to reach Eilat, Israel.Right next door to Eilat is Aqaba, Jordan which would be an alternative to Eilat.Bet Zios are going to ‘discover’ a Biblical link to Aqaba which gives Israel the right to seize Aqaba.A new trouble spot waiting to happen?
Was it always about Bibi’s pipe dream?Did Netanyahu WANT the Strait of Hormuz closed so as to reinvigorate and sellhis pipe dream? Was that the con all along?”The Art of the Con”.

Shin Bet chief said to fear Oct 7-style attack on Eilat, despite no intel on threat
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/shin-bet-chief-said-to-fear-oct-7-style-attack-on-eilat-despite-no-intel-on-threat/ar-AA26gI0W

Shin Bet chief David Zini warned in closed forums recently about a potential mass attack on the southern city of Eilat resembling the Hamas invasion of October 7, 2023, the Haaretz daily reported on Monday, citing several unnamed security sources.
According to the report, Zini ordered several senior officials in the security agency to give top priority to preparations for a scenario of a large-scale attack on the city, either from Jordanian territory or by sea, deeming the area a security weak spot due to its relative geographic remoteness.

If you’re just joining us  Here’s a quick look at the latest developments:

– US top diplomat Marco Rubio says he has had “very frank” talks with Gulf leaders during a trip to the region while vowing Washington will not “do anything that undermines” regional security amid negotiations with Tehran.

– Iran has hit back at comments by Rubio linking regional instability to Iran-backed groups, with the Iranian Foreign Ministry blaming a lack of peace on “American militarism and interventionism” and Israeli “impunity”.

– Israeli artillery shelling and a drone attack have been reported in southern Lebanon, killing at least two people, according to the Lebanese National News Agency.
– Israel’s defence minister says the country has no plans to withdraw from southern Lebanon and thaWashington has not demanded that Israeli troops be pulled out of the country.
– A 29-year-old Palestinian man has been shot and killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reports.

Thanks for the reply and the excerpt.

I’ve been following various projects of this kind for quite some time, and the chances for this one in particular are extremely slim, bordering on delusional.

I’ve already outlined the security and economic conditions, but there are others to consider as well.

For Saudi Arabia,to name just one example, to collaborate on this project, there would need to be a normalization of relations with Israel, along with an acceptance of dependence on its leaders’ goodwill and the payment of a levy just to sell its oil.

It is hard to imagine why any sensible Saoudi leader would do that.

Furthermore, Egypt would view this as an attack on its interests, given that it bypasses the Suez Canal.

And all this just to please a “Bibi” who is nearing the end of his career?
Not going to happen.

Here’s an interesting anecdote.

Did you know that the famous Israeli pipeline, or at least the already existing section running between Ashkelon and Eilat, is half-owned by Iran?

It was a joint venture that Israel seized after the fall of the Shah.
Iran won lawsuits seeking compensation, but Israel has consistently refused to pay, including for the Iranian oil it received via that route.

I wonder if that money is part of what Iran is claiming today.

I do wish so many here on “b’s” site weren’t so obsessed with Zionism.  It spills over far too easily into rubbish like anti-semitism.  Sometimes worse than dumb, embarrassing, all this talk of Zionism, as if it were the prime cause of the difficulties we in the West now find ourselves in.

“Zionism” is just another flavour of proxy.  Lile Salafism, or the swastika ultras in Ukraine.   It’d just be another minor cult, though somewhat weird, were it not that we in the West find it another useful foreign policy tool.  Press the right buttons, feed  in the arms,  and there’s another proxy ready to go.

This is so obvious I’m always amazed that all fail to grasp it.  We should grasp it.  Although it’s likely that the average American isn’t going to be taken in, we’re less savvy in Europe and are all geared up to be enthusiastic proxies ourselves.  As we saw in ’22, our buttons are so damned easy to press by politicians who know their business, even easier than for some of the other proxies,  and so many of us in Europe eager to see them pressed.

Something can start as a proxy and end up as the master, especially if the whole thing is of marginal interest to the bulk of the people in the main country.
If 90% of the population couldn’t care less and 10% are extremely motivated, the very few will get their way, through special interest lobbying and other means, until the distortion to the market becomes so large that a reconning is unavoidable.
We may be approaching that reconning now …

Did a search and found this (cannot speak to the source):

Thus, for example, Israel purchased a significant portion — and in some years all — of its oil from the Shah’s regime, while Iran used Israel as a middleman to sell its oil to third countries. The alliance over oil required that Israel and the Shah ensure the safety of shipping routes. This strengthened their partnership in the struggle against Egypt’s Gamal Abdel Nasser’s repeated attempts to promote ideological and military alliances throughout the Middle East that were hostile to Iran and Israel, particularly in the Gulf states and the Arabian Peninsula.

As for the consequences for the State of Israel, Ambassador Lubrani wrote that “the implications of a new situation for Israel-Iran relations should the Shah’s rule be undermined are grave, and the current regime of the Shah will be seen as the most positive one for Israel in Iran. Any change in this government will, to the best of our assessment, be to the detriment of our relations with this country.”
Lubrani also that Israel had extensive activities in Iran at the time, including “relationships surrounding the oil supply from Iran (both to supply itself and the Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline), and oil sales such as security-related projects,” and that “the security arrangements that were recently signed create an Israeli commitment to Iran vis-a-vis sensitive areas, as well as Iranian financial commitments that are significant for our national economy.”

https://www.972mag.com/israel-shah-iran-dictatorship/
So…(thinking like Netanyahu)…if regime change fails in Iran then the Strait of Hormuz stays closed and Israel becomes the new oil hub.If regime change succeeds then we can go back to the financially positive relationship we had under the Shah.

Could this pipeline be complementing the India, Middle East, Europe Economic Corridor?

IMEC did not consider petroleum pipeline, but as with BRI pipelines can run through the transport routes.

IMEC needs the Abraham Accords.

Pipelines are more costly than ships, and pumping stations and sea terminals are easier to bomb.

For such a very smart and thorough poster this is a disappointing comment.

Most of us use the term Zionism because it is a polite word that makes an attempt to avoid racism. Zionist is a political word and hence acceptable for use. Few of us want to say that it is specifically Jewish philosophy for obvious reasons. Also it extends to include the various Israeli fellow travelers who are not Jewish but beholden to them, along with the crazed end of the world evangelical Christians.

I sympathise with the idea that it is something of a fake term but the alternative is sadly racist and also very dangerous.  The reality is that the years of persecution and propaganda within the Jewish community and in Israel have turned a large majority of these people into a mob of rabid and EVIL people.  It is becoming harder and harder to hide it. BUT WE MUST NOT use the term Jewish because it is very unfair to those 10-20% of really decent Jewish people who in my youth were those who led the human rights and peace movements. I mourn for the loss of these people.  Have all their children tuned into psychopathic murderers?

So sorry EO.  We cannot say it is Israeli since those who support Israel’s evil are spread across many countries.  I guess we can to the extent that the nation state of Israel is conducting genocidal wars just as we did for the USA in its Vietnam atrocity but that does not explain the behaviour of Europe and the USA, and even Russia.

We all use Zionism in exactly the same way as we use NAZIsm and formerly communism. They are polite ways of describing a political philosophy which has strong geographical and racial links but keeps open the chance of future negotiations and reconciliation.   Germans are no longer NAZI so Germany can be termed a good guy. Russians no longer communist so we could happily exploit them for 10 years until a nationalist government arrived and we had to turn Putin into Putler but so far no political name has emerged to cover his philosophy.

So EO we must continue to use the term Zionist until we can achieve peace and decency in the hope that at least for 80 years the world can talk to Israelis who at least pretend not to be evil Zionists.  Most will be on the lower scale of evil anyway and the truly evil ones will retreat into hiding as did the post WWII NAZIs.

Our great grandchildren will need to deal with the evil re-emergence just as we are now dealing with the re-emergence of NAZIsm in Europe.

Easier than the pumping stations and sea terminals needed to load ships?

Pipelines cost more but provide options. Everything can be bombed if the will is there.

Salaam, well what has historical evidence provided us! The illegal occupiers have stolen Palestinian lands, when the owners are present! Now just like in Ukraine, the Ukos were stealing gas from the states that were buying Russian oil and gas, because the lines were passing through Ukraine! That was one of the reasons for Nord Stream2 – to cut out the theft.

And please don’t confuse the Falklands War with the shambles we’re looking at today.  The Falklands War was a risky venture and  hastily put together but was, allowing for reverses common in war, a thoroughly professional operation.  The shambles in Ukraine the Milley/Cavoli/Radakin trio dreamed up was amateur night on steroids.

So, to return to the subject of this thread, was the shambles in Iran.  Worth listening to Commodore Jermy explaining why that shambles won’t achieve the desired result either.

EO has set off a discussion about the use of the word Zionist.
Perhaps, Zionist-proxy or Proxy-Zionist is preferred?
Some might want to make the point that the Proxy-Zionist is now more than an unchained Frankenstein, it has become a, as Igor would say, “Master”.
Zionist-Master?

EO #22

Thank you for saying this, EO.  As a highly respected long-time, thoughtful poster here who “b” frequently highlights, your opinion on this matter will (hopefully) have some heft.  I see that some others are already starting to pile on against you with personal attacks, though. Psychologically, it seems they will never be unable to escape from using ‘zionists and jooz’ as scapegoats for their own countries’ imperial actions for centuries.

Extremely violent imperial actions have been going on long before Israel was created in 1948, but some here always ignore it.  They have to blame someone else, some other “tribe”.  Good post, EO.

Thanks EO.

The Commodore has made some very interesting points which tie in with another commentator Dr Hussein Askary on the Cradle.

Hussein Askary: How an Iranian victory is geographically redesigning West Asia | Ep. 30

Pipelines, trade corridors are all nonsense. Nothing will replace shipping routes.

The mitigating factor by both is underwhelming in the long run. A typical container ship can carry 4,500 – 5, 000 TEU equal to 350 – 500 truck load.

Imagine the nightmare of a convoy of 350 trucks on the road not to mention the wear and tear, etc.

Now, a large ship moves 17, 640 TEU = 8, 820 trucks. Then, there’s oil.

16, 500 tanker trucks for 1 VLCC. In Australia there’s a phrase, “Mate, you’re dreaming!”

Nazis, Taliban, Al Queda, ISIS, Boko Haram, Neo Nazis, Zionists – all same animals with different labels to hide the identities of the true masters.

I want to mention something else in relations to Iranian negotiations.

In the prior runup to the JCPOA, alternative payment and barter schemes have not been worked out yet. The Government then did not have those fall-back options.

Additionally, Iran bent over backwards to avoid conflict at all costs. Iran did not believe it could survive a combined US/Isntreal assault.

The complete failure of the JCPOA was the turning point and led to sanctions bypasses. It wasn’t enough to make the country prosperous but enough to stop it becoming a Cuba/Syria/Venezuela basket case.
The Iraqi lesson is fresh and an ongoing concern for the Iranian leadership.
The assassination of Gen Soleimani sent as a negotiator was a setup and went a long way to understanding that the use of force was the only common language understood.
The 12 Day War taught Iran incredible lessons and for the first time ever, Iran became confident it could prevail a combined attack.

If I was cynical, I would say Iran lured the hegemon into a trap, but the reality is Trump/that Polish guy and their handlers were way hubristic and had an unhealthy obsession with Iran.

So, Iran has faced its greatest fear and overcome it.

I know Arch thinks otherwise but I urge him to keep the faith. Qalibaf wasn’t lying when he said “We extract concession with missiles not negotiations”.

Lastly, Hegemon failed militarily in Ukraine and again in Iran because of COFM.

Martyanov must be given due credit as he had been banging home this issue since the beginning even though he is a racist and a very good example of why Russians so much wanted to belong to the European camp instead of its Asian heritage, a problem shared with the older Iranian and Turkist generation.
In his last video, he claimed Chinese cars were inferior to American. Nuff said.

Of course one is appalled by what the Israelis are doing.  Just as one was and is appalled by the actions of the Ukrainian ultras or the Jihadists we used in Syria and nearby.

Doesn’t alter the fact that they’re all our tools and deliberately used as such.  The RAF  helped in the destruction of Gaza, the Germans increased arms deliveries, and the Americans provided bombs and air support.  Plus, if it’s at all like other similar operations, generous Intel and SF support.

This pretence that it’s all down to the Israelis going psycho as if it was nothing to do with us, a pretence often accompanied by crocodile tears over the very atrocities that could not have been committed without our direction and support, is one of the most revolting aspects of current Western foreign policy.

This is mostly nonsense. While “Israel” may have once been *mostly* a proxy, that description of Zionism fails to take into account the depth to which it has seeped in American (and British?) governance. So explain the latter part. If “Israel” is merely a proxy of the USA (or the American Empire) then why is British society and government so captured by it? Same holds in many western nations.  And of course talk of “antisemitism” – which means….what, exactly?

The part you get right is the comparison to Nazis or Banderites. Yes, modern Zionism inasmuch as it is practiced and in the way its “norms” are forced onto others around them is very much similar. It’s a violent cult comprised primarily of murderous crybullies or those who truly think they are “special” to the point that regular laws and norms don’t apply to them, but apply double to everyone else.

Zionism is a natural offshot of “modern” Judaism. Don’t take it from me, though. Here’s Jewish antisemite Yasha Levine on the topic. https://www.nefariousrussians.com/p/zionism-is-at-the-core-of-judaism

If Israel and the Jewish Lobby/Media in America decide to release blackmail they have on Trump related to Epstein including sex trafficking evidence then I progressives in the online media sphere like Talking Points or Hasan Piker should agree to ignore it because it’s a ploy to get the US to go back to war.
Posted by: barbarianconan | Jun 24 2026 20:18 utc | 16
During the Bush years antiwar.com was a grand alliance between left and right.  It carried over to an alliance on Occupy.  Then Soros funded a bunch of nutters to infiltrate.  Then Obama got elected, and the “anti-war” left quit posting even though we got Obama wars and drone strikes.  The anti-war right said: “We see the game, it is only political for you.”.
If giving Trump the nobel peace prize ended this stupid war for good, I’d loudly support it.  I’d wear a MAGA hat if it ended this fiasco.  Trump course corrected due to the election wipe out coming up.  I don’t care.  Anti-war needs to applaud the peace deal and keep going after Israel.
As far as Epstein, the files cut both ways.  We now know it was a mossad op called “Project MEGA”, that Ehud was Epstein’s mossad handler, and that Wexner was the financial cut out, named as a co-conspirator by the FBI.  We know that it was a pedo ring that used little girls.  Another interesting point was the involvement of the Kosher mafia with Summers and Andrei Schleifer mentioned in the emails.  There’s three million more files and heavy redactions, including the names of the zio-pedos.  So Israel can drop dime on Trump/Melania, but Trump can totally destroy Israel over Epstein.

Zionist terrorists were genocidal prior to 1948 and have continued their path ever since. They differ little from the rabid American settlers who saw dead natives as the only good natives. We still have some like that here today, but most have moved on and adopted other Exceptionalisms. Simply, Zionists and their ilk are Outlaws because that’s what their ideology promotes. Occupied Palestine is an Outlaw State as much as America is and as much as the UK is. The Global Majority wants an end to Outlaw States.

This is a good way to put it. The former proxy – or those who put its interests on level or higher than the interests of their own people (US, UK, etc.) – have become the master over certain  domains like US foreign polcy in West Asia. Sure of course there are “American” and transnational financial class interests in dominating WA, and if you buy into the 5D chess take on the US/Israel/Iran war, the eventual goal is weakening or fracturing China and swooping in to take advantage via the usual means of debt enslavement, austerity and co-optation of its resources and markets.

The problem is that the 2-10% of motivated Zionist interests happen to overlap with many of Empires existing functions and aims. I can’t think of another comparable situation in history, where the ideology (for lack of a more accurate term) endemic to a proxy nation and tiny minority in the imperial core has achieved veritable primacy in so many policy areas. Zionist interests buying up media and taking ownership of social media to censor critical reportage, a new definition of “antisemitism” being forced onto society, integration of military and intelligenc apparatuses despite not even being bound by any formal treaty, allowances and abnormal exceptions for law breaking on every level (local, state, federal), looking the other way when the proxy actively harms American interests or kills Americans, totally contorting interpretations and enforcement of customs, norms and international law in truly Orwellian ways, and leadership that effectively does put “Israel” and Zionist interests above those of the electorate with no remotely justifiable reason – even and especially in ways that provide zero geostrategic/geoeconomic benefits to anyone but Zionist supremacists.

The situation cannot hold indefinitely. Where “Israel” once served as an ostensibly useful proxy during the Cold War, it has metasasized into something else entirely in the post-911 years. And again, yes, there are many overlapping interests shared with the security/carceral/surveillance state which always seeks to abrogate and hold new and greater powers using any excuse available. But defining anti-Zionism as “antisemitism” is probably the flimsiest justification I’ve ever seen.  Because I’m sorry, but the notion that pure “Jew hate” is a) rampant or b) a real problem to be tackled in lieu of the many other problems that afflict the west, is simply bullshit.

To ignore Jewish subversion in Western societies in the name of calling Israel a mere proxy and then to top that off by now attempting to make it a bad word to even use the word Zionism is itself an example of said subversion.

…    Zionist is a political word and hence acceptable for use. Few of us want to say that it is specifically Jewish philosophy for obvious reasons. Also it extends to include the various Israeli fellow travelers who are not Jewish but beholden to them, along with the crazed end of the world evangelical Christians….

Posted by: watcher | Jun 24 2026 23:12 utc | 34

Apologies for being slightly off topic, but I would call zionism an ideology rather than a philosophy.  For many jewish people and Christians as well, it does not represent a branch of the faith of all who call Abraham ‘Father Abraham,  (Islamists as well.)  And calling it an ideology is even being far too neutral in the charged atmosphere in which those persons espouse and act upon their ideas and their intentions.

An objection I am increasingly needing to bring forward is that, in effect, Islam as practised by the leaders of Iran, is far closer to Eastern Christianity than is the Jewish sect of Zionism.  There are areas of faith in which we disagree, but we would not go to the extent of considering our philosophical or theological differences entitled us to eradicate those who do not believe as we do.  This the zionists do and have done, and that is the core problem.

It is disengenuous to claim that because ‘we’ zionists have performed such acts of agression towards the Lebanese people as to kill them and eradicate their homes, we are now nervous that they will feel hostile towards ‘us’ .   Therefore we need to set up a dead zone on the border (in their territory!) so we can be confident they will not reciprocate.  There’s something very rotten in that reasoning,  that goes with according them the respect that calling their ideas ‘philosophy’  suggests.

I don’t think we should do that.

Because it suits them that way.  It is in accordance with their foreign policy objectives and with Western foreign policy objectives overall.

Worth quoting Colonel Lang on the subject.  Israel will exist as long as it’s useful to the United States.  When it ceases to be useful it will cease to exist.

Though you must remember that the Colonel was writing at a time when US military power was thought to be very great.  Obviously it’s different now.

“…could not have been committed without our direction and support, is one of the most revolting aspects of current Western foreign policy”

…is one of the most revolting aspects of current Western foreign policy.

The implication that ‘we’ (the public) are directing and supporting this western policy.

“we in the West find it another useful foreign policy tool”

Shades of petergrf there, but you fail to mention what British or european policy benefits from using ‘Zionism as a tool’, except as to play off or abuse domestic population.

American foreign policy benefits are visible though, given the US is installing, or is exercising, hegemony, as well as having a very active MIC and energy policy, reserve currency status, and as further forment of E-USA.

“Although it’s likely that the average American isn’t going to be taken in, we’re less savvy in Europe”

Back to front, the US is much more taken in by Zionism and related, the europeans are much more skeptical. The irony of course being (as you noticed by replies maybe) that when you press a stupid button, you do get smacked down by europeans, and particularly British (due to an equal footing).

Would you rather everyone learned to be quiet, maybe ?

Europeans if anything are taken in by EU, and various hold a certain combination of influences to blame for that reality.

As for jews, they have the luxury of being able to change religion, culture, domicile and nationality, unlike the Palestinians who have steadily been caged into a small zone and bombed relentlessly ; men, women and children alike.

Maybe we are supposed to think it is gracious and selfless for that opportunity to be also provided to Palestinians ?

In other words, why are you even talking about jews ?

” “Zionism” is just another flavour of proxy ” …

isn’t it just…

“It spills over far too easily into rubbish like anti-semitism”

and there you have an explanation for the label ‘anti-semitism’, it protects Zionism.

Need we continue ?

I was a USAF logistician for many years.  Correlation of Forces and Means.  To me “means” was logistics, initial load and resupply, for the Forces. Forces, we would say order of battle aka list of assigned/deployed articles of combat capability aka “units”.

Linebacker II over North Vietnam was very early in my career.  I recall a little.  US emergency supply of latest precision air munitions to IDF is another story I was involved.

I like to compare Linebacker II to AIPAC Fury, ignoring that AIPAC Fury devolved out of the failed decapitation.

AIPAC Fury was less force in terms of tonnage (precision is not weight!) than Linebacker II spread over almost 4 times the number of days of operations!

The US/IDF force did match the object, which suggests stopping on 2 March.  Iran is a far huger, more dug in nut than Hanoi and Haiphong!

From Linebacker II US pulled out of the Vietnam war.  AIPAC Fury should lead US to pull out of West Asia.

US shot a lot of its means which cannot be refitted soon.

It’s very reassuring that China, Russia, and Iran have their eyes on the same prize, a permanent end to the US hot and cold war against their sovereignty, which includes the sovereignty of their critical neighbors and near neighbors. All three know this will take time, very roughly 10 years, and that the US will concede very unwillingly, possibly ‘going down fighting’, the latter which C-R-I very much wants to avoid.
C-R-I has a level-headed, very experienced, and very smart team, but they’re venturing into the unknown. In that context, I hope the Russians and Chinese respect and learn a lot from what Iran is going through and how it is dealing with the American and vassal snakes and bullies.
Related side comment: Not to excuse all the missed opportunities and delayed actions by Russia in the Ukraine war, but the medium-term nature and collaborative nature of the C-R-I goal sometimes produces short-term actions that seem ‘weird’.

Since that’s what’s taken over here, my take (hat tip to Garland Nixon) on English Outsider’s (hat tip Brian Berletic) nonsense at 22:

There is no ‘we in the West’ that is using Zionists/Israel as a proxy for its purposes. And there is no Zionists/Israel that is using ‘we in the West’ for its purposes. They are the same entity. You can call it whatever you want, Garland calls it the US Empire (I’ll call it the Western Empire), but it’s definitely one thing, no more.

Explaining beyond Garland … For simplicity’s sake, think of the Western Empire as a corporation, with influence depending on how much elite capital you own and how well you organize and discipline that capital. Let’s say that pro-Israel Jewish capital has very roughly 20% of the empire’s elite capital, but it’s well-organized and disciplined, unlike most other elite capital. So ‘Zionist’ capital leveraged its power and (decades ago) was able to make Israel a core goal of the Western Empire, in addition to the other two foundational goals: increase the share of profits and wealth going to the economic elite; destroy resistance to our empire. There’s no struggle or infighting, despite ‘Israel’ growing ever more virulently evil and expansive, because resistance would be futile (pro-Israel capital has the ‘shares’ and discipline), and because the Western economic elite still feel the other two core goals, especially the first one, are in good shape.

That’s it, easy. Now let’s stop arguing?

No — it isn’t itself a mere proxy …. it is a non-proxy entity which uses proxies.
An amalgam of ideology and cult.
A mafia with its own agendas and variable-emphasis layers (social, economic, racist, “religious” etc.)

A hell of a lot of extremely rich Oligarchs and corporate heads, financiers, plus bought or recruited politicians, senior bureaucrats and mass-media personnel.  All making sure that the interests of each other, and of course the overall cult package, get promoted whenever possible.
To the inevitable disadvantage or harm of everyone else (those regarded as inherently less important).

If you genuinely aren’t opposed to it, to the extent of pretending (to yourself?) that it’s a mirage — that might indicate you being in subconsciously approving  alignment with features of modern dystopia such as the political establishment, neoliberal perpetual-debt economics, transnational corporate imperialism and the Overclass….  all of which it thoroughly saturates and shapes.

It is antisemitic to vote for a Jewish candidate who is not approved by AIPAC.

Posted by: Menz | Jun 25 2026 3:42 utc | 70

@69 youngg

The point was this:

There are different camps, to simplify:

One blames western imperialism (US, colonialism etc.) for what is occuring.

The other blames ‘Zionism’, meaning religious influences (both jewish and christian), “Israelism” and similar.

EO is apparently in the first camp, that is fair enough. However he then says:

“I do wish so many here on “b’s” site weren’t so obsessed with Zionism. It spills over far too easily into rubbish like anti-semitism.”

Like it or not, Zionism is a main political, religious and ‘cultural’ theme openly at work in guiding or channeling activity on Palestine. Some say it leads, EO says it is a distraction, which is also fair enough.

When he then associates criticising zionism with ‘anti-semitism’, where ‘anti-semitism’ is understood as the ‘persecution blaming of jews’, what he would be doing is to deny any criticism or blaming of zionism because it would be as well blaming jews.

In other words he would be using ‘jews’ to defend zionist actions, so making them responsible in some way.

This is not just a legal question. As Watcher points out, many people make a great effort to distinguish zionism from jews.

At a finer level though, that you might not be aware of, is that in much Western law , i.e. including British, to even insinuate ‘anti-semitism’ is very pointed and controversial.

Saying ‘I hope you are not being anti-semitic’, carries all the associated influence, argument and implication.

In short; a menace, because even an accusation of being ‘anti-semitic’ leads to persecution and penalty.

Jews called for these laws, and did not stop these laws, so I have no sympathy at all when they complain of being blamed. They allow their name to be used to persecute others.

Personally though, I would criticise or blame jews as I felt, as I would any other. If I wanted to blame jews collectively, you would hear about it.

For Palestine and various other however, I would say there is ‘jewish organisation’ behind what is occuring, and it would be true. That is not to lay complete responsibility either, nor to include all jews.

Zionism (or “Israelism” ) is a simpler way of saying that.

IDF chief to rabbis: We’re short thousands of troops, need female combat soldiers

In a meeting with religious Zionist rabbis, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir stressed the military’s need for both male and female combat soldiers, calling the integration of women into such roles a matter “of tremendous operational importance.”

The Tuesday meeting came after the rabbis threatened to stop sending their students to serve in tank units due to a pilot program integrating women into the Armored Corps. Their concern is that the students, who observe religious strictures around modesty, would serve too closely with female recruits.

In a statement on Wednesday, the IDF said Zamir told the rabbis that the military “is still short thousands of combat troops and needs every male and female soldier in order to fulfill its missions and consolidate the campaign’s achievements.”

crocodile tears over the very atrocities that could not have been committed without our direction and support, is one of the most revolting aspects of current Western foreign policy.

You guys always punt to the “western” or “white empire” foreign policy angle. And the truth at the heart of the lie is that in fact yes: a) “western” foreign policy has always relied on some form of genocide and displacement and b) “Israel” could not manufacture enough weapons on its own to carry out the genocide. How were the Nazis any different other than that they were an industrial giant capable of making their own arms….amirite?

But seriously and more to the point – WHY is “our support” so free flowing and everlasting? Would it be for a multi-generational genocidal regime in, say, Armenia? Gotta say – not a lot of Armenian FinanciersMediaOwnersHighlyPlacedGovernmentOfficialsLobbyistsCulturalNarrativeDefinersCancelersGatekeepers – nor – members of the Armenian RaceReligionPickBestOptionForScenario as there are “Israelis” or……Jews.

Sorry just sayin.

SORRY! I meant: Zionist Jews OR members of the ostensibly non-Zionist Jewish community who seem to have ZERO effect on the rest of their cohort that have waged a decades long genocide and apartheid land theft and murder project.

Can anyone come up with a historical parallel? And no, LoveDonbass’s comment tonight at Indi.ca’s site about the Japanese is not a parallel AT ALL to this situation.

When will the “Jewish” (scare quotes since I have no way to keep track of what that even really means – by their own intention) community who doesn’t support the genocide rise up and put their fellow travelers in check?

The Haredi draft revolt threatening to bring Israel to a standstill

As the government seeks to enforce military service for all, ultra-Orthodox refusal is revealing cracks in the country’s militaristic consensus…..

…..But the ultra-Orthodox are not waiting for elections, which they no longer see as a way out of the crisis. It is unclear whether Netanyahu’s coalition will survive, as even a staunchly right-wing government like the current one has failed to pass a law regulating the status of yeshiva students and their exemption from conscription.

What remains is the street. In the first months after the law expired, as it became clear that tens of thousands of ultra-Orthodox Jews could soon face arrest, a telephone system called “Black Alert” was established. Modeled on Israel’s missile-warning system, it notifies subscribers whenever a draft dodger is detained by military police.

Today, two of the largest notification lines together have more than 130,000 registered subscribers. When an alert goes out, hundreds or thousands of protesters can rush to the scene within minutes, surround the police vehicle, and pull the detainee out. The practice has become so effective that many police officers are afraid to detain ultra-Orthodox draft dodgers….

I mean…I’ve read the comments and done some research. So forgive me if this is out of line, but I count 3-4 ‘major’ Synagogues that deny membership or communion with murderous Zionist apartheid fellow Jews.

Really???

I spose one could say “Well how many Catholic churches or dioces deny fellowship with Catholics that support the Empire’s wars?” but then Catholics are so huge in number and Catholic religious leaders aren’t overwhelmingly in support or (conveniently) silent on a genocide being committed by Catholics anywhere in the world at the moment. (I also spose someone could argue…”well what about the colonization of the “New World”?”  but that isn’t the current take coming from the Vatican, now, is it? – not that I’m apologizing for Catholics or any skygod religion). Also “Catholic” is not simultaneously a “race” and a “religion” – now, is it?

The US missile directly hit the body of martyr Makan Nasiri and left no trace of the body. Not even a single hair was found. More than 100 DNA tests performed on the samples were negative for Makan.

The U.S. ruling establishment has never shown any sincerity in its behavior toward the Iranian nation. Iran, while having ample reason for this suspicion, entered the diplomatic process in good faith and signed the memorandum of understanding to end the imposed war. Iranians know that the enemy’s animosity will not end with the signing of a single agreement, and they will take every step with vigilance, bearing in mind the experiences of the past five decades, especially the developments of the last year and a half.

The contradictory statements by U.S. officials regarding the memorandum of understanding to end the imposed war will do nothing to reduce the accumulated distrust of Iranians and will merely serve as a reminder of past breaches of faith. The U.S. ruling establishment must bear in mind that the principle of “commitment for commitment” requires the fulfillment of reciprocal obligations and the avoidance of interpretations that are entirely at odds with the explicit wording of the memorandum of understanding text.

Both sides of the argument are distractions from the fact we’re ruled, in the West, by Western capitalist elites. Rule by the global capitalist elite, who are mostly (?) sociopathic freaks, will have some odd aspects, such as the extra pro-Israel goal.

Western capitalist elite rule is the problem and ending that is the prize we need to keep our eyes on. Especially now, when serious and powerful entities are trying their best to end it and have a good chance of doing so relatively soon.

Afterall, let’s stop blaming the actual, material, physical, thought-having people who are actively murdering and genociding women and children by sniping them in the heads and groins, stealing their organs, destroying any vestige of their culture, justifying it with lies and bigotry and then using their control of our media and thoughtspace to tell us we’re “racist” and “antisemitic” for calling the murderers out – all while celebrating and bragging about their crimes against humanity then censoring or imprisoning us for calling it out.

I thought y’all were materialists. Seems you’re more like whattaboutists.

Posted by: Tom_Q_Collins | Jun 25 2026 5:21 utc | 88

It’s a shell game whenever the “Israeli” murderer genocidaires are concerned. But the US supports them! The UK sells them weapons! The capitalist elites are behind it?

Yeah? But who’s fucking pulling the trigger and blowing up universities and hospitals, lying about or celebrating it, shoving it in our faces, and telling us we’re bigots for disliking it – then claiming it’s an ancient religious war they’re fighting against….”terrorists”?

Very convenient for this allegedly hated Empire when the people actually doing (and ENJOYING) the wet-work seem to get a pass.

Posted by: Tom_Q_Collins | Jun 25 2026 5:25 utc | 89

Let’s talk frankly since the troll has been banished for the night and those of us people willing to discuss and debate in good faith can carry on in peace…shall we?

Numerous times before I even entered the discussion the concept or idea of “Jew” or “Jewish” was -and has been in previous threads- been mentioned, particularly in the realm of differentiating (or not if the Zionist “Israel” supporters have their way) – the concept or idea from the religion.

What really even IS a “Jew”? Maybe a person who self-identifies as such can answer me, because I can goddamn guarantee that a lot of us ignorant goyim gentiles would LOVE to know the answer to that question. Are you a race? A religion? Both? Scared to answer but happy to claim membership when it’s convenient or germane to win a “point” in an online or in-person argument?

I genuinely want to know. Especially inasmuch as it relates to the topic of the “Israeli Jewish State” – Anyone got anything?

Posted by: Tom_Q_Collins | Jun 25 2026 5:43 utc | 90

And as an addendum, assuming you’re allegedly secular or otherwise not hyper-religious: What makes a person a “Jew” or “Jewish”? Is there a biological/genetic marker? When did that get defined? Who defined it and how?

A rough equivalent. I’m “Scottish” but that just means my forebears at one point were born in or resided in Scotland. Where’s Jewland or Zioland? On the other hand, there’s religion. How many Muslims or Christians also categorize their religion or the religion that their forebears practiced but which they’ve let slide define any aspect – or most important identifiable aspect of – their reality?

Why such a marked difference with or WITHOUT the existence of “Israel” in the first place?

Oooh, now I’m being really “antisemitic” aren’t I?! Sorry folks among this cohort (however you define or draw boundaries around it) but us Goy subhuman animals are confused!

Blame away if it floats your boat.
My only point is I prefer focusing on the greatest prize, the end of US/Western hegemony. I think it’s strategically smarter to focus on achieving that, rather than the subsidiary goal of ending the Israel apartheid regime. As the Zionists know (and are frightened like hell over), the latter will fall if/when US/Western hegemony falls.

nobody in the USA or Europe is getting much/any oil from the Perisan Gulf – it’s all going to Asia, to India and China and then Japan, South Korea, Philippines etc etc….
my feeling is that the Iranians/Chinese are doing this very much on purpose. oil supplies/reserves will supposedly run out in the EU and USA in more or less 4-5 weeks. and then we will start to see the beginning of the crash.
BUT…… it just occurred to me, Saudi Arabia is sending at least 4-5 million barrels a day via it’s Red Sea port through the Suez and off to the EU and USA, I suppose. so that’s something. Larry Johnson is just counting what goes through the Strait.

https://sonar21.com/dire-straits-not-the-band/
Dire Straits… Not the Band  –  25 June 2026 by Larry C. Johnson

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, President Donald Trump claimed that a record volume of oil was flowing through the Strait of Hormuz following the recent US-Iran ceasefire deal. He announced that 19 million barrels of oil had moved through the strait the previous day (Tuesday). He highlighted that pre-war flows averaged over 20 million barrels daily but had dropped sharply (to 1–4 million barrels) during the conflict, and he presented the recent increase as a major success. Here is a shocker… Trump is not telling the full truth.

According to MarineTraffic and related maritime intelligence data for Tuesday, June 23, 2026:  Approximately 7–12 oil tankers (crude and product carriers) transited the Strait of Hormuz, with some sources noting 7 fully tracked tankers (including supertankers) broadcasting AIS signals.

Prior to February 28, 2026 (before the escalation of the 2026 Iran-related conflict), the average number of oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz was approximately 40–50 per day. At best, assuming that 12 oil tankers transited the Strait, this represents only 24% of normal traffic.

But this amount barely dents the shortage of heavy crude that now confronts the world. In addition, none of the oil tankers that sailed thru on Tuesday were headed to the US or Europe… All of the oil was headed to Asia, with the majority of the cargo destined for China…..

Let’s state the only real problem directly, the one that annoys the fck out of most middle-class, professional/managerial people and wannabes (but they know they must shut their yaps about it): the strong insider favoritism network among Jews. For jobs, promotions, admissions, all the stuff that’s critical (or seems critical) to professional/managerial careers.
And the above maybe answers your “what is a Jew” question: the main feature of being Jewish is being inside the Jewish favoritism network, which is flexible and happy to strengthen itself by bringing high-value human assets.

Blame away, but can you tell me what that achieves for Palestinians? And yes, the actual physical wrongs are done by Israeli Jews, but I think it’s wiser and more populist to blame all who support Israel, the arrogant fat cats and not just the grunts and settlers.

Some of us find blaming tiresome, some of us revel in it. No big deal which way you go. I’m just more an ‘eyes on the prize’ type and think the smart strategic prize for the left is ending US hegemony. But I support other goals, like ending Zionist rule over Palestine.

Notice how they always quote their ethnic kin Authors, Musicians, etc.
They boycott the mere mention of  any name outside their ethnic group.
For example; George the Z., despite  his avowed anti-Genocide credentials, is especially illuminating in this last aspect.

Re: Who to hold accountsble for the Genocide ?

this topic was deeply explored during Post 1945 Japan. Its worth examing the (imperfect) Tokyo Trials.  There are a couple of legal war crimes concepts that help frame the subject.

1) Joint Criminal Enterprise

2) Yamashita Standard of Command Responsiblity

dig into the 2 topics and you‘ll have a good handle to who should be held accountable and how.

finally,  War Crimes have no statute of limitations.

on page 80.. concerning the Peel Report of 1937 where 1. partition of Palestine 2. restriction of Jewish immigration into the area both were part of British Policy until 1949. and on the same page i quote “In fact, a pattern of partition contained in the Peel Report, would have given TransJordan an outlet to the Mediterranean Sea across a southern partition of Palestine, was the subject of violent controversy in 1948”. Think why did Truman recognize Israel as a state in 1948..

Its difficult to ignore as you track more deeply into this Zionism mess that “Zionism has a political origin<= not a religious or cultural origin”.. and its meaning changes depending on British Politics until  the Oil deal with the Arabs in 1970s. British politics, not Israel control USA political platforms since the ratification of the US  constitution in 1788.
