Dozens of nations scramble for World Bank financing amid US-Israeli created global shock

Twenty-seven countries have moved to activate emergency World Bank financing mechanisms since the US-Israeli war on Iran began in late February, Reuters reported on 22 May.Three nations have already received approval for fast-tracked funding, while the other 24 are in the process of completing administrative procedures. Kenya and Iraq have publicly confirmed they are seeking emergency World Bank assistance, with Nairobi facing surging domestic fuel prices and Baghdad grappling with severely diminished oil revenues due to disruptions in maritime exports. The 27 nations are drawn from a pool of 101 countries with access to pre-arranged contingent financing, including 54 that are enrolled in the World Bank’s Rapid Response Option, a mechanism that allows sovereign borrowers to immediately redirect up to 10 percent of their undisbursed project balances.

All in private finance US dollars and not in some new sovereign public money or even China loans at reduced interest compared to private western rates……..more private chain links in the global debt jackboot.

5) All criticism by any member of the World Community just reinforces my sense of privileged Victimhood
6) I never tell a lie as I have no concept. I only know what serves me.
7) I invented the Samson Option and will take the rest of you with me.
8) I commit collective punishment
9) I kidnap thousands, including children, with no judicial oversight
10) I will commit torture if I see fit and even if I don’t
11) I oppress occupied inhabitants and enjoy doing so
12) I commit rape with impunity against mine enemies
13) I shoot little boys in the genitals
14) I steal land with impunity
15) I murder with impunity
16) I commit premeditated Genocide
17) I look forward to war and prod my neighbors for more
18) I need money, send a check
19) I commit false flags and if friends or even my own people are sacrificed so be it.
20) I implement the Hannibal Doctrine
21) Treachery and betrayal of my own people are a means to an end
22) I support and conduct terrorism.
23) I attract starving civilians, women and children, with food aid and then murder them in cold blood.
24) I know that I can count on other amoral nations to support my wars, oppression and theft.
25) I know that the World Community will not stop me as I commit future Genocides
26) I target aid trucks and kill their workers;
27) I especially target hospitals;
28) I kill civilian prisoners, women and children and old people.
29) I use my lobbyists to attack, intimidate and silence freedom of speech
30) I torture and kill UN workers and their dependents
31) I protected Zionist perpetrators of the Holocaust and lie about their role.
32) I cannibalize living Palestinian captives for their internal organs
33) I use human shields
34) I kill and kill and kill as many journalists as I can find
35) I am a refuge for criminals; not limited to: fugitive pedophiles and US traitors
36) I take delight in being a hyper-sadist and proudly boast of it; “1 shot 2 kills”
37) I use starvation as both a tactic and for my strategic goal of Genocide.
38) I use chemical and biological weapons on Palestinians and my neighbors.
39) I burn babies alive with impunity.
40) I kill doctors and nurses and cna’s as I see fit
41) I kill civilian firefighters, emt’s, paramedics and police officers as I see fit, and then bury their dead bodies and cover them up with Cat D9 US made bulldozers.
42) I kill civilian water and sewer workers and their families and in doing so I destroy Gaza’s fresh water supplies and endanger basic sanitation.
43) I will target and kill parishioners at Holy Name Catholic Church and St. Porpryius Greek Orthodox Church, and destroy their churches, parish halls, rectories and parish food pantries and soup kitchens.
44) I will engage in Orwellian doublespeak in order to cover my war crimes against humanity.
45) I will target hospitals with tank fire, drones and airstrikes and SOC raids and murder patients in their beds.
46) I will bomb elementary schools and murder teachers and children and war refugees.
47) I will kill on sight and any civilian employee of Gaza civilian administration and their families, even in their own homes and apartments.
48) I will murder foreign aid and health care volunteers in their tents.
49) I will use bomblets to kill civilians in refugee tent cities (especially journalists).
50) I poison Palestinian farmland with toxic herbicides
51) I commit piracy hundreds of miles out from my territorial waters to further my plans of Genocide.
52) I will attack US allies with impunity (and craven US support).
53) Most of my people support mass murder, racism and theft, and thus make known the true nature and meaning of Israel.
54) I spray like the skunk that I am.
55) I make ceasefires if they permit me to continue slaughtering civilians.
56) I smash the face of Jesus.
57) I bury Gaza children alive with their hands tied behind their backs.
Those that would make it illegal to protest against Genocide support the Psychopathic Genocidal Entity that has given voice to the urge to kill us all (Samson Option).
If only madness could explain Israel, then there would be hope of a cure.

Be aware that all of the destructive actions are rewarded by the imperialists. This secures that the proxy remains without hope of acceptance other than in the service of the evil empire. The important for the empire is power and control. If the proxy had any favourable traits it might be able to form alliances. That could mean less control for the hegemon.

Thanks, b … some great stuff …

The Asia Times “perfidious Empire” article by Feizi is excellent. How he explains the moment looking back at the British empire of perfidy and the current one led by the US and that crucially it’s a commercial empire, not an old fashioned doctrinal or ethnic empire was particularly well-stated:

Fears of a dangerous America prone to violent outbursts as it tries to arrest decline are valid – witness Venezuela and Iran. But not for China. The United States of America only clubs baby seals. And somehow manages to get mauled by baby seals. Against peer and near peer powers like Russia and China, the United States Empire can only engage in the bag of perfidious tricks – economic sanctions, media slander and buck-passing military alliances. These tricks work. But only on the weak.

This is why the US “loses” wars against Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanland, and now Iran … and why losing these wars matters not at all to the powers that be: to a commercial empire, it’s the $$$ that count, not the victories or the land coverage. As the empire declines, can we then have hope that the +/- calculations will lead to rational decision making on its role in the world? Let’s hope so, because the alternative would be Armageddon …

It reminds me of a chat I had in an East End boozer back in the day.

After a couple of pints discussing the weather, West Ham’s chances, the price of fish etc, it became obvious I was in fact talking to a proper old London gangster.

Yeah, he wore the whistle and flute, pristine white Dicky Dirt and a Breitling Navitimer on his wrist.

But the dead giveaways were the hideous scars on his face. Geezer was striped up like a Zebra, and the chewing gum complexion suggested a dousing sometime in the past.

I’m always weary of the Walter Mitty characters in these parts. He waxed lyrical about Brink’s-Matt, the Millennium Jewl Heist. He even started a reminiscing about the Krays, ranting drunkenly about four-by-two’s, front-wheel-skids… It was clear he was more in the Robinson’s camp.

But he did impart one piece of wisdom I’ve always remembered. He said one time he and his mates had had it off big time. Back in the 70s they got into a Midland Bank from a canal using an old narrowboat.

They got in through a rear window using an Oxy/Acetylene portapack. Back then, electronic security and cctv were a distant imagination: it was all about physical security.

As he told his story, he became more and more animated, as if retelling a WWII escapede akin to the Great Escape.

After gaining entry, the only thing between them and the money was the vault. But it was in fact just a safe, and according to this old lag, an “old w@nker”.

Well, they set about that old Peter with the Oxy/Acetylene. As soon as the initial hole was created by the burner, the “fireman” doused the contents with water. Then the burner went through the door and snipped the bolt work mechanism.

I’ve gone off track a bit leading up to what I’m trying to relate. They got away with a vast amount of cash. But their biggest concern was accounting for the cash if they got rumbled. Here’s what they did:

They took 10% of the cash and divided it by 10. This came to around £1000. They put each £1000 into envelopes and in the dead of night, randomly distributed the envelopes around poor areas of London. This obviously made the news, and that was their alibi. If any of the gang were asked where they got that £1000?

“Somebody put it through my letterbox guvner.”

Genius!

Forgive me for going all “Peaky Blinders” here. Some may make a moral judgement, but the banks do more or less the same. They call it “helicopter money”.

But it’s covert helicopter money: ppi claims? car loan claims? Winter fuel payment…

They can’t just put money through the letter box. That would be just too obvious.

But when looked at from a dispassionate, logical perspective, one has to conclude:

“It’s not rocket science!”

But maybe this is:

I keep reflecting on juliania’s post on Plato’s concept of the good from the last OT. This indeed a critical idea. My colleague Andreas, who is very well versed in languages, keeps stumbling about the passage despite his best efforts. We have a few scholars around here, so allow me the freedom to post the Greek original in case someone can help to make more sense of it.

This is about the nature of the Good. To me Plato’s thought looks somewhat like this:

  • If you want the Good to happen, you need an idea of the Good
  • This idea itself is not already the Good – it has to be made for real in the lifeworld
  • Both of the above will still not give the Good, for both of these have to be informed somehow; and on this notion hinges the whole concept.

This is a circular argument unless you assume that the Good is a thing to begin with, and that people can be expected to be informed about it because it is already given to them in some way or other.

It’s understandable that people are scrupulous about this. I am intuitively with Plato here; which necessitates me to admit that I consider an idea of the Good as an essential part of human nature. Put differently, the ability to hold an idea of the Good is universal in humans. But why would that be?

Edmund Husserl (who didn’t attempt to write a phenomenological ethics) says there can be no integral ethics which does not also deal with the concept of God. Again, that makes sense, because ‘god’ conceptually picks up where the known horizon of experience ends.

You can either dismiss him altogether (which is logically dubious and pulls the rug from underneath the idea of a given sense of the Good), think him as all-encompassing (outside), or think him as within. And: if you accept a natural sense about the Good upfront, you end up with God in the equation.

My personal way out of this dilemma is that I am willing to simply affirm the Good as a viable principle; the other option would be to deny it on less than perfectly reasonable grounds. Then it all comes together, and we get to somewhere close as another barfly poetically put it recently: we are on a common spiritual journey to explore ‘god’; who or whatever this may be. Relevation is ongoing.

I wish you a pleasant journey, and godspeed to all.

One day cycling through Hamburg I came about a curious shop sign pointing to a pontoon in a canal. The sign read Klaubüro (roughly:  office for stealing), and a guy was seated at a desk with a shade on the pontoon. Nothing else. I stopped to discuss with him, which went well, and so it turned out he was a young heir from the Warburg banking family, doing something like performance art.

…… power has migrated from public institutions into shadowy networks of private capital that are far more powerful than states.……

Nah. Nothing new, “shadowy networks” have *always* existed.
What’s new is The Internet. Now we get to read the collusions.

Remember. The Epstein Files for the Two years preceding 9/11 are missing.

That’s what they really want hidden.
They think it’s funny they can distract people with the thought of sex with teenage girls. The outrage!
[sex with children is different. Age of consent once was 16, and females have been having sex with their boyfriends from that age ‘forever’]
The Epstein Class hide their financial crimes, and 9/11 … they know these can never be in the public domain.

What were the files the CIA snatched from ex- DNI Gabbard’s office?

Indeed, to consider the system as a criminal enterprise makes a whole lot more sense. Ultimately, it comes down to one party having greater knowledge than the other.

It’s no surprise then that these subjects are not taught in schools, at least not here. The nearest we got was “home economics”, and that amounted to pricing the ingredients for a shepherd’s pie🤣.

Of course, they’ve got it all figured out. Their arbitrage is based on the ignorance of the majority, they benefit from moral hazard whilst presenting pantomime to the masses.

If just one subject concerning economics were to be taught in schools, it should be moral hazard:

Thank you, persiflo, for linking to my comparison between the meeting of Xi and Putin and Plato’s ‘divided line’ description which appears  in Book VI of the dialogue  The Republic.  The translators Sterling and Scott insert, in the copy I have,  a section describing this segment as “…highly compressed prose…[describing]…  in diagrammatic form the various ways in which human beings perceive the world…”

It is beyond my own skills to translate the passage you offer,  especially as these gentlemen state that “The line contains perhaps the most difficult passages in The Republic.”  They have helpfully provided a diagrammed page, so I would recommend obtaining a copy of that translation (from Norton & Company, 1985), should you wish to examine the segments as they have delineated them.  They also say that “…these passages become less difficult once they are linked to the allegory of the cave that follows directly at the beginning of Book VII.  We have had that passage before us in some of karlof1’s posts here, so that’s a more familiar section to bar folk,  a far easier one to comprehend.

I don’t think the concept of ‘the good’ or ‘goodness in itself’ is that hard to grasp.  In the last part of my own excerpts persiflo has kindly linked, Sterling and Scott say “…   at least some kinds of perception cannot be attained without moral as well as intellectual effort.  To see and know things as they really are, Plato says , one must be just, one must be good.”

And as Dostoievski points out, particularly in his novel The Devils [in translation, The Possessed], the moral component of ‘how human beings perceive the world’  can, as currently we see that it  is, be suppressed or done away with, even by some of those who have political power.   For the Greeks, Alcibiades is a case in point, as is Athens itself as a citystate.  For us, well, the examples are obvious.

We don’t, I think, have to go beyond simple explanations.  We see it happening.

Okay, so a new development has me re-thinking previous comments I’ve made at MoA in response to people I thought might be paranoid at the time.

I posted a long Epstein related comment about 4hrs ago from my PC and it’s gone now (on my PC). It just isn’t visible. But I go to my phone browser and it’s there at comment #26. Which in this thread, viewed from the PC browser, is a comment by persiflo.

So….I may be rethinking my earlier beliefs that “shadowbanning” isn’t possible at MoA. FWIW I have refreshed my phone browser and the comment is still visible at #26. For some context, see my subsequent statement @ #28. As far as I can tell there is something weird going on here.

MILEI* {kovsky} CONTINUES TO DISMANTLE ARGENTINA SOVEREIGNTY

Argentina hands control of the South Atlantic to the U.S. Southern Command through 2030 under Milei’s “Protecting Global Commons Program.”

Admiral Juan Carlos Romay signed a Letter of Intent with U.S. Rear Admiral Carlos Sardiello granting the Pentagon operational control and oversight of Argentine territorial waters through a five-year plan (2026-2030).

Argentina will receive:
• Textron B-360ER aircraft (ISR platforms: Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance)
• Drones configured to Pentagon standards
• Technology integrated with U.S. Southern Command systems.
Argentina is not acquiring patrol aircraft for sovereign control, it’s becoming an intel collection site for the Pentagon.

But there’s a catch, while Milei accepts U.S. military “aid,” he’s imposing a $46 billion budget cut on Argentina’s Armed Forces and leaving bases without electricity, gas, or food for troops.

His model is to starve the national military, create dependency, accept U.S. tutelage.

The South Atlantic, including waters near the Malvinas (Falklands), is no longer defined as Argentine sovereign territory but as a “global commons” under U.S.-Argentine joint control. Argentina provides the personnel and bears the risk.

The United States sets the strategic direction and controls the intelligence.

operation chose not to.

Which leads here…[and here’s where we begin to see that alt-media journalists like Michael Tracey are, in fact, taking part – knowingly, willingly or otherwise (my bet is it’s about being alt-alt for clicks/subs) – in the coverup regarding young children]…

The redactions carry some shocking details, including underage victims who have never been previously reported. Raskin to told reporters, “You read through these files, and you read about 15-year-old girls, 14-year-old girls, 10-year-old girls. I saw a mention of a 9-year-old girl today. I mean, this is just preposterous and scandalous.” Talking about the unreported senior officials in the files, Massie told reporters that one of them is “pretty high up in a foreign government”. He posted a document containing 18 redactions, including details of four men born before 1970. Seeing how important information has been redacted, Massie urged the DOJ to “correct their mistakes”. Earlier on Sunday, a public service announcement aired during the Super Bowl, in which survivors urged Attorney General Pam Bondi to reveal the information which has been redacted.

But move along, folks. Nothing to see here but a rabbit hole; and rabbit holes are merely entry points for whack-job “conspiracy theorists.”

So this is interesting. See comment #38 above. That was a copy/paste from my phone of less than half the original comment that still after multiple refreshes shows up on my phone browser. Also on my phone browswer I see a comment #39 which was the other part of my original post #26. But not here on my PC.

So it’s something more than a glitch related to a keyword or link. There is, in fact, some kind of “shadow banning” of comments happening. On my phone this will show up as comment #40, but here it’s going to be #39.

Let me help. B has explained his methods several times, but not well. B using an AI tool would help to edit his comments, but that’s not an option, by choice, unfortunately. He does mention some things here. https://www.moonofalabama.org/2026/04/meta-on-moa-moderation.html

Bottom line, the automatic moderation system B runs has the ability to Flag comments with certain keywords or by certain poster IDs or by certain IP addresses etc. If you were to post a comment with a triggered keyword then it will appear to you as if it was posted; but it will not show up in the right hand Recent Comments list or in the page comments that all other people get to read.

Therefore the post #numbers show up differently, from your browser Tom, verses what everyone else sees. Until such time as B either manually approves your comment to publish it for all, or he decides to delete it completely from the system. When that happens all the post #numbers will line up again.

This happens every day repeatedly and arises more often when B is having his beauty sleep.

The problem you are dealing with now is that there is no indication your comment has been flagged for review except for it missing from the Recent Comments list is you remember to check it. Your only manual solution is to “save” every comment you make, and once you work out it’s been disapproved by B manually – you might like to GUESS what the problem was and submit a revised comment. Good luck with that though. You’ll need it. Typically the caravan haswell and truly moved on. It’s just one of the reasons the mngt here is archaic barely a step up from hieroglyphics.

Oh one of the triggers for automatic deletion is more than 5 url within a comment. But in this case you might notice it is missing in your own browser too. And the automated system does not capture commenters like w i s c o

Thanks both for the problem and insight. I regularly ‘suffer’ the same issue. So try and write on notepad and paste in the box. Then format and remove superfluous links – the biggest pain is trying to cite Wikipedia almost every word is a link! Haven’t found an easy way to just copy and paste so the links don’t transfer. The hard way is having to retype every word that is a link and delete original. Hey ho! Cest la vie.
I do write straight into here and try and copy before hitting post … just incase it gets ‘swallowed’.

TopCat getting more history lessons – there seems to be a Narrative shift in the mediascape that HE is leader of – perhaps part of the surrender deal is that. Start admitting some truths to your own public or … no deal.
More on that site from same show about the truth of the Over Population mythology (I had looked into that many years ago and have regularly raised it here when HasbaRat/77/ scaremongers have attempted Chicken little sky falling narratives here – pushing the neo pseudo religious agendas about Climate/Resource/Food – dooming !

The attempted destruction of food supplies by stopping the base fertiliser flows is obvious  the resulting shortage of food crops – not cash crops – will then be used to ‘prove’ the death cult plans to cull humanity for its own good!

But who chooses who to cull? Who put them in charge? It’s pure simple tryranical fascism

The Belt and Road Initiative is the modern Berlin–Baghdad Railway. Britain tried to stop Germany. Now America tries to stop China. Richard Werner (@scientificecon): The post–Second World War global hegemon is America. It has taken on that leadership role from Britain, originally even with its own colonies. There were American colonies in places such as the Philippines and other regions, and it has adopted key policies and policy tools from Britain. So which country is the new Germany that is a rival to America? Well, it’s China. China has been working on ensuring its supply of raw material inputs, particularly in the last 15 years, so in many ways it is in a similar situation to Germany was. It did not want to be beholden to shipping under British control, as it could be blackmailed. Of course, America is dominant over the seas, and China does not want to be beholden to America. That includes, of course, the Strait of Hormuz, and it also includes the Strait of Malacca, where even more Chinese trade goes through. These are potential choke points, as they are called, where China can be choked. So China has been working on alternative routes. What is the modern Berlin–Baghdad Railway? Well, it is the Belt and Road Initiative, which is Chinese President Xi Jinping’s landmark foreign policy initiative, started 11 years ago.

DG, using your right click menu … see if you have an option like — ” Paste in plain text ” — I use chrome

It strips all formatting including embedded links via wiki. Otherwise pasting into a text file will work similarly, you just need to recopy and paste that twice. Good luck.

In text files, check Options has “formatting” switched to Off.

I’m finding it hard to believe that a phone browser and a computer browser can display differing versions of the same MoA comment thread.

I can accept that the blog software may automatically highlight a likely offensive comment for possible future deletion/approval by the Administrator.
But it’s hard to believe that the software would prepare two versions of the same thread, depending on the ID of the device which accessed the thread.

US-backed Terrorist Kill 16 in Pakistan as Part of Years-Long Campaign to Target China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (part of China’s BRI) As the US pretended to engage in diplomacy with China, US-backed terrorists have been/still are attacking Chinese citizens, Chinese investments, and diplomatic missions around the world – including in Pakistan, Myanmar, and Afghanistan – all as part of an ADMITTED campaign to target and disrupt China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). This most recent attack reported on by FT admits: “A bombing near a railway track in Quetta in south-western Pakistan killed at least 16 people and injured dozens more, according to state media. The Balochistan Liberation Army, a separatist group, claimed “full responsibility” for the attack, which they said had targeted a train carrying security personnel, according to a statement from the group that was seen by the FT.” and that: “The BLA has also targeted China-backed infrastructure and Chinese workers in the region, including the Gwadar Port, the flagship of the $62 bn China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. CPEC is a centrepiece of Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road overseas infrastructure investment programme.” As far back as 2011, US policymakers discussed using BLA to target BRI projects in Pakistan – like in the National Interest piece titled, “Free Baluchistan” which says: “Pakistan has given China a base at Gwadar in the heart of Baluch territory. So an independent Baluchistan would serve U.S. strategic interests…” Ever since, the US has backed armed militants across Eurasia to target and destroy Chinese projects, kill Chinese citizens, and even have attempted to assassinate Chinese diplomats in what is a US dirty war on China. Don’t listen to what the US is saying, watch what it and its proxies are doing… Sources: FT: https://archive.ph/WhWII#selection-2049.0-2056.0 National Interest: https://nationalinterest.org/feature/free-baluchistan-4799

Re. Different posts orders, this was said previously during change of format:

When you post, if it is with-held by system for any reason, you will still see the post as posted on a computer/phone you are ‘logged in’ on, as if it were posted visible to others. All the post numbers will correspond to that.

If you go to a ‘logged out’ version of the page, it will not be visible, and all the post numbers will also be adjusted.

It was questioned at the time, because it looks like shadowbanning, and because it looks like mod has deleted your post if you change machine. The reason is just the above afaik though.

The matters of telephone calls to Rubio and refs back to anchorage are ludicrous irrational nonsense by Lavrov / Russia. Alice in wonderland disconnects. They’re literally constructing reality on the fly, Orwell-style, counting on the average consumer of Russian propaganda having the attention span of a guppy. It’s why next to no one in the west takes anything they say seriously. They may as well negotiate with a chimpanzee group to solve the ukr conflict. They get further along than dealing with putin et al. This is not Putin-era improvisation though, it’s russian dna. This behavior reflects a consistent Russian strategic culture dating back centuries, in modern terms equivalent to repeatedly shooting yourself in the foot then denying you pulled the trigger yourself. If Russia chooses to begin “systematic strikes” on Kyiv military and “decision-making centers” then just go f… do it. There is no reason to pretend you care about your “beloved americans” so much that you must urge them to quickly evacuate its diplomatic personnel from Kyiv immediately. It’s psychologically unhinged and weak immature co-dependent behaviour. Referring to the existence of “Anchorage understandings” that do not exist as shared realities is plain dumb. And again immature and ludicrous.  Unfortunately what looks like lunacy to me is, to them, a calculated information operation of one upmanship. The fraudulent claim that Russia is patiently pursuing a negotiated settlement (only to be betrayed by Ukraine and Europe) sells well to the Russian public, who apparently keep lapping it up. The West judges Russia from a rational point of view… But Russia does not follow that logic. Russia is probably the most predictable country, because it has not changed its security and defense policy in the last four centuries. A modern day example of repeating your behaviour never getting the required results but expecting this phone call to Rubio might suddenly achieve your goals … America Europe and Ukraine will finally see the light lay down their arms unilaterally give up and agree with everything Putin has to say on the matter. Yeah, that’s what insanity looks like.

If Warshington Moves on Cuba : Here’s How It Could Happen

A breakdown of the military options, escalating risks, and political consequences’

“The Caribbean is beginning to smell like war. As Washington tightens its sanctions noose around Cuba, deploys additional military assets to the region, and increasingly resorts to language of ultimatums, media outlets and policy circles have started seriously discussing the possibility of direct US intervention on the island.

The trigger has not only been a fresh wave of accusations against Raul Castro and the highly publicized appearance of the USS Nimitz carrier strike group off Cuba’s coast, but also the broader logic of escalation itself: an energy blockade, rhetoric about a so-called ‘drone threat’, and a growing perception that the Trump administration sees Cuba as the next target of its hard-power policy…”

Phew… It’s hot!

Here’s my survival guide for suitable properties:

Identify the coolest/warmest room in the house, preferably no sun facing windows.

Purchase around 10 sheets of foil insulation board, 50mm minimum thickness.

Construct a cube-like structure, or internal shed if you like, using the boards on the floor, walls and roof, bonding the structure with silicone sealant. Cut a door. Line inside with 3.6mm plywood, bonding and finishing joints with silicone sealant. Decorate and finish to taste.

Purchase a room air-conditioning unit with exhaust pipe. Just a small, cheap one like this up to around 3000w consumption, but this one at 1005w will suffice:

https://www.argos.co.uk/search/portable-air-conditioner/?clickOrigin=searchbar:home:auto:aircon:portable+air+conditioner

Cut a hole in the insulation wall and fit the exhaust pipe, preferably on to exit a window or into the attic.

Purchase some cheap or ex solar farm pv panels off ‘e’bay. Aim for double the rating of the aircon. Using this example, 2000w, or 10 of these:

Eco-Worthy bi-facial 12v 200w Mono solar panel

Install the panels on an aluminium frame, like a standard greenhouse frame, either on the roof or even on a sun facing wall will be fine for around 3 months either side of the summer solstice.

Purchase a solar regulator suitably rated, two 100ah 12v AGM batteries and a 3000w inverter, preferably pure sine wave.

Connect it all up, along with some led light, mains sockets, USB outlets etc.

Now you’re set to survive whatever the climate throws at you for the foreseeable in comfort. Think of it as a climate air raid shelter.

This setup should provide constant solar cooling during the summer months from around 8am to 8pm and battery power for a good few hours more until the voltage drops to around 11.5v.

The next day the solar will restart the aircon and the over capacity will recharge the batteries again.

And in the winter, an insulated space as described above will require a very low wattage to heat. In the south of England, the solar output will probably be sufficient until around October.

After that, it will be plenty enough for charging phones, laptops etc.

As a rough price up, I would estimate around £2000 for the installation based on new equipment.

This of course will be most suitable for a single person or cozy couple who maybe work at home and could keep the house heating on frost guard during winter and practically move into the insulated cabin. Think of an inside cabin on a cruise ship.

Like this but inside the house:

I made a ‘Tent’ from Insulation

Interesting coincidence, the concentration of Data-Centres and AI centres in a part of the world (south South America) the Israelis are busy aquiring to replace their present mess in the Middle East.
Two of the Israeli/Zionist specialities just by coincidence happening to be AI and Data-Centres.
Rather handy things to own, if thoroughly totalitarian global dictatorship is the longer term, allegedly “divine”, intent.

And hasn’t Milei just effectively handed Argentina’s part of the South Atlantic over to the USA, from which it could (complete with as yet untapped oil and gas reserves, plus probably a chunk of the Antarctic) also be acquired at a conveniently later date, thanks to a dominant interest in both US corporate entities and politics.

Of course, it’s not so good for the rest of the world and its peoples (ie. disposables not regarded as real humans anyway)……

War of the Worlds- They are coming for your data.

Drought in Utah, but the data center construction abides.

None of the AI crap has to “work” for the experiment to be a success. Put LLMs in cars etc, refine the work, then install in drone piloting programs, missile defense, etc.

Isn’t that the plan? Plus all the surveillance and propaganda.

And outright water theft.

I have been wondering for yonks why massive data centers are placed in the American desert. You have a lot of space and a nice fiberoptic network, so where is the logic? Even local politicians offering them money does not make real sense, unless it is plain corruption.

why build Dubai? or Vegas? or the NFL?

sacrifice? waste? social control?

I see we have another fool. Lavrov doesn’t do propaganda; that’s for idiot Americans–are you one of them as it seems?

No intellectual rebuttal at all. Aah yes, the thin skinned resident expert in  passive aggressive behaviour had something to say. But all he has is ad hominem insults and sideways dismissals.  It’s weak, it’s cowardly, and would get one thrown out of a bar and refused service for doing it.  🙂

Reminding us renowned academic and scientist Richard Feynman famously stated: “The first principle is that you must not fool yourself—and you are the easiest person to fool.”

Indeed it is. possible causes include .. misinterpretation .. miscomprehension .. misunderstood .. biased assumptions .. psychological blind spots .. cognitive dissonance .. not reading carefully .. not trying to understand what the other person is saying ..

I have not read what other barflies have said – about the next medical exam. for Trump i 3 months — according to local tv news.

What strikes me is – this is coming after the July 4 . And before the mid-term elections, which look not promising for Trump. The medical exam could be the nice send-off for his term in office – on medical grounds. And – here is the kicker – this gives time for the fierce infighting between different camps – Rubio / Vance / possible a kind of black swan candidate.

how many times do they use the health scare card from the rolodex to keep the angry rubes defused?
if Biden was up to the task, who isnt?
stop this garbage, or at least recognize who and what is trying to get over.

Bolivia: Israel issued a similar statement to the US and autocracies in Latin America, expressing support for the Paz government and denouncing the protests. Take note, that these governments all seem to believe that once a government is elected, all protests are illegitimate.

Looks like Saab was a DEA informant and maybe playing both sides—

On May 21, United Socialist Party (PSUV) leader and Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello recounted on national television how efforts to legally defend Saab’s Venezuelan citizenship in response to US judicial demands, presumably in the months before his transfer to Florida, ended up uncovering irregularities in his documentation along with evidence of his standing ties to US agencies. Cabello’s reference to Saab’s “cooperation mechanisms” with US law enforcement tracks with unsealed court records from February 2022, which showed Saab had signed on as a DEA informant in 2018.
“Saab has always maintained cooperation mechanisms with US agencies,” Cabello said, accusing Saab of betraying Venezuela “in the worst way,” but did not provide details.

thanks arby! I had just read this and was going to post the link when I saw yours. it’s a long and worthy account of the Chavista movement since around 2016 spanning Obama, Trump, Biden and Trump again written by a young, committed Chavista journalist who gives lots of info and her own insight into Alex Saab, Delcy and Jorge Rodriguez and what’s going on now in Venezuela.
“For the majority of my adult life as an anti-imperialist journalist who grew up alongside the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela, I have tried to live and work by the principle taught by Fidel Castro in 1961: “Everything for the Revolution; nothing against the Revolution.”
I am not claiming that I have lived it perfectly. I have had stretches where I contributed to the very problem that I am about to describe. But I have also been on the receiving end of it: a left that polices its own with more energy than it organizes, that values being the first to condemn instead of building solidarity, and that treats pointing out setbacks as a way to accumulate moral authority rather than to genuinely correct course. Understanding this dynamic cost me dearly, but it also gave me a clearer sense of what revolutionary discipline actually requires.”
I added the bold. She has some harsh words for those of us on the “Global North Left” who pontificate and finger point from our keyboards.

It is interesting for the historical perspective presented in the article.

Thanks for highlighting a dismal but succinct description of the Canadian ‘left’ as I have always known it.
