War On Iran: – Trump Claims Victory, Lays Grounds To Resume Fighting

In yesterday’s summarization of the state of the war on Iran I had warned that the announced ceasefire and re-opening of the Strait of Hormuz was standing on a fragile base:

After the announcement of the original ceasefire the U.S. [had] announced a blockade of all shipping to, from, and related to Iran. Earlier today Iran had hinted that it will close the Bab-al Mandeb entry into the Red Sea should the U.S. blockade persist.

It is jet unknown if, how and when the issue of the blockade is to be solved. Should the U.S. be unwilling to lift it, the conflict is sure to re-escalate.

Meanwhile U.S. President Donald Trump was all over social media pretending that the conflict with Iran had been resolved (archived):

President Donald Trump declared Friday that Iran has agreed to virtually all his demands to end its nuclear program forever and said that talks to finalize the deal, “probably” held this weekend, “should go very quickly.”

In a flurry of social media posts and media interviews, Trump said the United States “will work with Iran” at what he called “a leisurely pace” — with no need for American ground troops — to retrieve all of its buried highly enriched uranium and turn it over to the U.S. He said Iran would receive no money for agreeing to an “unlimited” halt to all nuclear activities.

With U.S. help, Trump said, Iran was removing all sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz — which Tehran, earlier in the day, said it would reopen to commercial shipping. He said Iran has agreed “never to close” the waterway again.

Trump’s flurry of positive claims lifted the stock market while oil prices slumped.

That may well have been its sole purpose:

BREAKING: Just 20 minutes before Trump’s announcement that the Strait of Hormuz was open, massive trades hit the market.
Investors sold a combined 7,990 lots of Brent crude futures, a $760 million bet that oil would go down.
These orders were much larger than anything else at the time.
The traders made huge gains.

Soon after Trump’s victory jump Iranian officials stepped in to counter his claims (archived):

Iranian officials did not confirm most of Mr. Trump’s claims and disputed several of them. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran’s top negotiator and the speaker of its Parliament, said on social media Friday evening that Mr. Trump made seven claims in one hour, all of which were false.

It was not immediately clear which claims he was referring to, but Mr. Ghalibaf said the United States would not make progress in negotiations with what he described as lies.

Despite the NY Times saying that it was not immediately clear which claims Ghalibaf was referring to. he had indeed responded in detail:

1- The President of the United States made seven claims in one hour, all seven of which were false.
2- They did not win the war with these lies, and they will certainly not get anywhere in negotiations either.
3- With the continuation of the blockade, the Strait of Hormuz will not remain open.

Additionally the IRGC spokesman rebuked Trump’s nuclear claims:

“Any news claiming Iran will give up its uranium is a lie. We will not surrender our rights. We will not bow to pressure. We will not betray the trust of our people.”

Tasnimnews, the IRGC news agency, admonished the Iranian Foreign Minister for seemingly supporting Trump’s claims.

Iran will keep the Strait of Hormuz closed until the U.S. blockade of Iranian harbors is lifted:

THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ IS COMPLETELY OPEN AND READY FOR BUSINESS AND FULL PASSAGE, BUT THE NAVAL BLOCKADE WILL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AS IT PERTAINS TO IRAN, ONLY, UNTIL SUCH TIME AS OUR TRANSACTION WITH IRAN IS 100% COMPLETE. THIS PROCESS SHOULD GO VERY QUICKLY IN THAT MOST OF THE POINTS ARE ALREADY NEGOTIATED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER! PRESIDENT DONALD J.TRUMP

Trump’s ‘art of the deal’ attempts to strong-arm Iran to give up its positions will fail (archived):

For several hours on Friday, through a series of interviews and social-media posts, Trump insisted he got most of what he wanted from Iran after launching a war against the U.S.’s largest Middle Eastern rival: A full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, falling oil prices, a promise from Iran that it would give up its supply of enriched uranium, and commitments for Iran to halt its support for proxy terror groups in the region.

Trump’s optimism had followed a social-media post by Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, declaring the Strait of Hormuz “completely open” during the cease-fire.

Then walk-backs began.

Mahmoud Nabavian, a conservative lawmaker and member of Iran’s negotiating team, rebuffed Trump’s announcement that the strait was fully open. He said Iran would continue charging tolls for commercial ships going through the strait. Tasnim, an Iranian media outlet aligned with the country’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, chided Araghchi for his post.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs should reconsider this type of communication,” Tasnim said.

The U.S. told Tehran it would give Iran access to $20 billion in frozen funds held in foreign countries as part of a deal for Iran to give up its stockpile of uranium, officials familiar with the negotiations said. But then Trump denied this proposal was on the table in an interview with CBS.

Trump at various points in the war has declared it on the cusp of being over or Iran on the verge of making a final deal, only for Tehran to dig in its heels. His bold declarations are part of his negotiating strategy, administration officials said, aimed at jolting negotiators into action and ratcheting up pressure on Iran to agree to a final deal.

But the strategy has sown confusion and doubt among close U.S. allies and some officials involved in the negotiations, who question whether Iran has really folded when the U.S. president says it has.

Several people remarked that the so called deal Trump had been waxing about was stinking. It seems that he is laying the ground for renewing the conflict.

Larry Johnson opined:

Trump is doing one of two things: 1) Spinning the American public so that he can make a deal to end the war, declare victory and head home, or 2) Or setting up a strawman by insisting a deal is at hand and then, when the US refuses Iran’s demands as laid out in the 10-point plan, blame Iran for refusing to negotiate and launch new attacks on Iran by April 26. I believe, based on the continuing flow of US military aircraft into the region, that Trump is going to order new attacks on Iran before the end of April.

Professor Marandi joined in:

Seyed Mohammad Marandi @s_m_marandi – 18:13 utc · Apr 17, 2026

Personally, I believe Trump is probably saying all this nonsense about agreements with Iran so that he can later claim, “Iran didn’t keep its promises” – promises Iran never made. The chances of renewed murderous aggression from Trump and Netanyahu are high.

Iran is ready.

and:

Seyed Mohammad Marandi @s_m_marandi – 22:29 utc · Apr 17, 2026

Every time Iran tries to ease tensions – like reopening the Strait of Hormuz after the Lebanon ceasefire – Netanyahu and Trump do the opposite. Trump immediately vowed to continue besieging Iranian ports, forcing Iran to reimpose restrictions.

On Monday, in Pakistan, there will another round of U.S.-Iran negotiations. The April 8 ceasefire will end on Tuesday. Then a new round of bombing will likely begin.

Comments

Besides everything else, Trump has made it clear that the US government engages in market manipulation and gross insider trading as a regular tool of statecraft and war. As with everything else, the US government has long been this but Trump throws down another mask before the world. He’s still doing more-or-less what I hoped he would do, end the charades (in foreign policy at least; domestically is another story) and accelerate the downfall of the empire.

I’ve just watched Larry Johnson’s interview of Robert Barnes,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqY9uztGxKI

who is a constitutional lawyer and Washington insider with close insights on the state of Trump’s mental health, and what is going on behind the scenes, which is really very illuminating concerning some of what b discusses.

Barnes says almost all of the top administration people (except Hegseth, who is clearly himself insane) are well aware that Trump is mentally completely incompetent, but are absolutely petrified of Trumps temper tantrums and are constantly treading on eggshells. He claims this includes naval commanders a propos the blockade, who are deliberately going through the motions of the blockade and telling Trump yes not a single ship is getting through great success, but without the intention to risk ships by challenging real Chinese tankers, but just say whatever placades Trump.

That sounds a plausible explanation to me of what we see on the blockade front, but I wonder what it means for the ground attacks b talks about that the US seems to be preparing for.

Barnes claims Vance can get a deal (soon) with Iran if only he can get Trump to stay on board for long enough. Personally I think that is HIGHLY improbable because he grossly misreads what COULD be acceptable to Iran – mainly because the US is agreement incapable therefore Iran is necessarily dependent on permanent (not agreement-dependent) strategic facts on the ground. Hence anything where Trump can even remotely claim a win is by definition disqualified.

Posted by: BM | Apr 18 2026 11:02 utc | 3

Trump also declared US will use extraterritorial blockade to seize Iranian ships or ships carrying Iranian oil on the high seas. That’s legally defined as piracy.

BM. @3.

“Barnes claims Vance can get a deal (soon) with Iran if only he can get Trump to stay on board for long enough. “.

IF (a big if) neither Kushner or Witkoff are involved there might be a vague possibilty, ie. I do not think that Netanyahu’s personnel will allow another halt.

Posted by: Stonebird | Apr 18 2026 11:20 utc | 7

Further to BM at #3 I think the only way Iran can get a viable deal that sufficiently – irreversably – permanently changes the facts on the ground is if (a) there is cataclysmicly failed ground attack, or (b) a cataclysmic failure in global trade/supply chains/food supply and the global economy, or both. For the second it would necessarily entail the conflict going on much longer. Unlike the west, Iran can afford to wait until the time is right.

Iran should be absolutely merciless to israel when the new round of attacks against it begins next week….
since israel/USA have few if any remaining air defenses available now in terms of interceptors etc, Iran should obliterate as much of the settler-colony as it possibly can, including israeli/USA bases housing any planes.
Why anyone in the world would think or imagine that the USA/israel can or will negotiate in good faith at this point in history, is beyond me.

re. #1 “market manipulation and gross insider trading”

US markets have been rigged for some time. No doubt a bunch of dark pool movement preceded the crude oil profiteering.

“In 2009, Alexandra Zendrian, writing for Forbes, said, “Dark pools are venues where trading is done off of an exchange to obtain price improvement and not move the price if a large block of stocks is being traded,” — theoretically, a dark pool is just any sort of exchange in financial markets between parties that happens invisibly to the public or ‘retail investor’ eye.
Arguably, the most interesting fact about dark pools right now is its immensely uneven growth vector statistic — dark pools make up, according to more recent reports detailed below, an estimated 65%+ (As of December 2018) of the stock markets daily volume. However, an estimated 7% of all investors even know what they are.”

Whatever happens Iran has established control over the Strait and that will not change. US bases in region will not renegotiated away. Bases directly on the Persian Gulf are unsustainable without military freight through the Strait, which will just not happen. US bases in Iraq unsustainable without freight through Basra. When hostilities resume Iran is in a stronger position.

Trump talks to Bibi and Miriam many times a day. Israel is fundamentally insane and marinated in bloodlust. They will never stop. The Bronze Age tribal cult inevitably moves towards Masada. They will come to an end.

Posted by: oldhippie | Apr 18 2026 12:16 utc | 17

Since Israel ignores the ceasefire and the US doesn’t lift the blockade Iran should attack all bases where the US is accumulating military gear.

Why waiting the next aggression while it is crystal clear it will happen ?

In 2007, during Putin’s now-famous speech at the 43rd Munich Security Conference, when Putin warned against NATO’s Eastward expansion. In 2022, after fifteen years of continued NATO expansion, Russia invaded Ukraine. You could say that some who in 2007 claimed “Don’t worry. What are the Russians going to do about it?” would have been right for 15 years, and only wrong once, in 2022. But that one time of being wrong has cost a million and a half Ukrainian men their lives, and Europe its prosperity.
In the same way, today people say “Dont’t worry. What are the Russians going to do about it?”. Come back in 15 years and tell me what it cost you.

Why anyone in the world would think or imagine that the USA/israel can or will negotiate in good faith at this point in history, is beyond me.

I don’t think anyone important is doing this. At the very least, none of Iran, Russia, China is negotiating with the USA in good faith. They’re all doing this for ulterior reasons. For Iran, Mohammend Marandi made this very clear. I’ll repeat what I wrote in a previous thread. Why Iran took part in the Islamabad meeting:

1. There will soon be renewed attacks on Iran, with many more dead and wounded. In such a situation, citizens may wonders, “couldn’t we have prevented all this destruction with the peace talks?” By going to Islamabad and “negotiating” with the USA, the Iranian leadership proves to their own population that talks were tried. They failed because of Israel and US decisions but Tehran went there. It’s a signal to the population.

2. The same applies to the rest of the world: especially if a long conflict is expected, the attitude of the rest of the world matters much. Going to the talks helps a lot. US’ fllightiness is discussed all over the place, and starts leading to political decisions even in the West (not much but more will come IMO).

I have faith in Iranian decisions and resolution. They are well prepared, resourceful and determined. The only people assuming good faith negotations are parts of the kommentariat, IMO.

Meanwhile, there’s some evidence that the Ford is now in the Red Sea. So much for the Houthis.

b now admits that the ceasefire was a ruse. By the end of the two weeks, Hezbollah is smashed, the blockade is reversed and the US has reinforced. So much for Trump “chickening out to save face”. So much for the inversion fantasy that the US was beaten.

This new news site I found called Promethian Updates gives a very interesting insight on what TRUMPS REAL AGENDA is on this war in Iran.  In summary it is to crush the British Empire (controlled by Rothchild’s who always benefit from destabilizing countries and forever wars).  The war in Iran is to cripple the Globalists that wish to have the peasants own nothing and be happy and depopulate the world.

Another rumour I read on the subject of “Trump against the Globalist” is about Hungary and Orban’s defeat. His replacement (Magyar) is doing the exact same policy.
The plan would be for Trump to put Orban as head of the EU, replacing Von Der Hyena (who is extremely corrupt with the EU covid vax purchases, so it is easy to send her to jail). Orban is pro-Trump and pro-Israel, so it makes sense.

“According to information obtained by Tasnim from relevant authorities, Iran has so far not agreed on the next round of talks with the United States due to Donald Trump’s announcement regarding a naval blockade of Iran, as well as the US’ excessive demands in the negotiations, which have continued in the recent exchange of messages.”

“Iran has made it clear that the avoidance of excessive demands by the United States in negotiations is a fundamental condition for the talks to continue; otherwise, Iran is not seeking to waste time in drawn-out and unproductive negotiations.”

“According to information obtained by Tasnim, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s position has been conveyed to US officials through Pakistan.“

I also understand that Pakistani Field Marshal & army left Iran today,  was in Al Manar also,  but can’t find link now.

And as expected,  USReal began firing today,  now suggesting that terrorists crossed their made up “yellow line” supposedly agreed upon with Lebanon.

All out war using the millions of boots of the dumb Turks, PAKS and ever suffering Gyptians in the proxy holy war in the deserts of Saudi Arabia – which are perfect for nukes!

This is clearly the next proxy war by the Shitheads. As they wind up losing the current SloMO ukropian proxy natzios!

🔹According to Al Hadath, participants in the meeting emphasized their support for Pakistan’s mediation efforts between Iran and the United States.
🔹These efforts aim to achieve a lasting ceasefire and prevent the escalation of the crisis in the region.
🔹During the meeting, a warning was also issued that continued tensions could have serious security and economic consequences for the region and the world.

Iran War Brings Massive Price & Profit Gouging

https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2026/04/17/uvyl-a17.html

“As workers around the world are hit with the ever-worsening consequences of the US war on Iran – crippling rises in petrol and gas prices, food price hikes and the growing threat of food shortages in poorer countries – major corporations and banks are raking in increased profits to the tune of billions of dollars.

First in line to benefit from the profit bonanza, as could be expected, are the oil companies. But the flow of money extends across the board.

According to an investigation by the Guardian, the results which were published on Wednesday, with oil at around $100 per barrel the major oil conglomerates in Saudi Arabia, Russia, the United States, Britain and Europe will collect an additional $234 billion in profit for 2026, an extra inflow of $30 million an hour for the rest of the year…”

two readings are possible, one about who wins most by exchanging pieces, the other being only about timing.
either way it seems the us would rather not re-ignite this soon and wouldn’t be surprised if things stay sub-crotical until the 60 days of free play are over (not that it is any guarantee of congressional action)

It’s existential.

The proximate origin of the crises’ is not too long ago, less than a century! The historical facts have been attempted to be obfuscated by the worst academics ever – the Historians; they are mostly scum. They are the wormtongues that provide intellectual heft to help convince the masses.

It became obvious to the Old Bastards, when their proxy Hitlers Nazis attack to take Russia had failed from the west and the proxy Japanese attack to take China from the east had equally stalled.

That is when the attempt to take the Levant and west Asia as the crossroads of the world and therefore trade that could be forever taxed, was pushed. To build upon the Balfour piece of paper scam.

As compensation for the yet again failure to take the equivalent ancient crossroads of the steppes, Crimea and the two seas. Their Old long defeated Khazarian Empire.

The British people were not asked about Balfour and we were not asked about the neo khazeria in its bloody juadaic skin disguise in the British Mandate. In fact we were targeted.

Zionist militias, specifically the Stern Gang, proposed an “active partnership” with Nazi Germany during World War II, Israeli archive documents published by Haaretz reveal. Connections between the Zionist movements and Nazism have long been documented, seeing their interests aligned in expelling Jews from Europe to build settler colonialism in Palestine.

■ Naftali Lubenchik, a Stern Gang member, wrote in 1951 that “the physical destruction of the Jewish people, but rather their expulsion from Europe and their concentration in one place.”

■ One Stern Gang member wrote in 1943, “Germany has not yet been defeated and may still become our ally.”

■ Another suggested “it is possible to reach a practical agreement with the Germans… negotiations should be opened, and Jews of Europe should be recruited into a special army that would fight its way to Palestine and conquer it from the British.”

Iran will have to take out a new set of radars in the Gulf bases.

Iraq just had its US bases reinforced with the Syria evacuation of US troops. Much more action to be taken there by local Iraq forces to reclaim bases.

Many newly maintained US air planes cycled in, those needing fixing cycled out. West Asia US ammunition, maintenance, parts restocked.

Iran, Iraq, Lebanon to start degrading US+Israel military assets again.
This cycle will be shorter than the last, 3-4 weeks. I am sure US weapon stocks are dropping faster and equipment is failing faster. B-2s seem out of fight for a while, air tankers can’t last endless hours of flights from EU bases.

Will China start oil convoys from the Gulf to Asia to help their economies?

My posts above lead to a conclusion of why the phony wars and peaces being announced like so many pre ww2 treaties guarantee the greater conflagration coming.

‘They’ the Ziolords and their psychotic progeny,  have always been impatient – especially as a generation nears its old age and they realise they have wasted their whole lives with their insane quest.

Always defeated by their target and nemesis.

Post ww2 the Ziolords were in greater control in Britain, France and WasNeverReal – just a decade after the end of ww2 – the three nations attempted to take control of the Suez Canal from Egypt, to secure that Neo-Khazaria.

It was not popular in the U.K. and even less so in the US, which still had independence, from ziocontrollers in its government and miltary (mostly totally disappeared now,)

The ensuing assassination of JFK and RFK and ouster of Nixon saw to that total takeover of the establishment  – along with regular assassinations of any who object.

Latest being the bloody public execution of Charlie Kirk.

Such people realised almost too late they were surrounded, related even, to the shapeshifters, the fake convert khazarians. They were the bad guys! Or goys if you will.

They run the imperialism that created the USA itself, from the colonialism of conquistadors to the deluded WASP eschatological invaders and their crazed evangelism. As is daily displayed in the WH,  in the current ‘end of’ days Epsteinesque bread and circuses daily show. As Maga gets binned.

The sordid daylight robbery of the toll booth Suez was thwarted in the 50’s debacle.  As the attempt to control the gulf is this time.

The squatter invaders are not welcomed by the locals.

The native semitic peoples, who were daily genocided in their homes and now apartheid concentration camps.

It is Apartheid. It must be dismantled and the invaders sent back to where they came from. De colonisation is inevitable.

Such fascism was instituted along with deadly brain washing of the invaders minds, from birth; so that we now have killer Zionist Ken and Barbies, hollywoodised, gun carrying, who revel in the death of babies and the expansion of Greater WasNeverReal! They are making even more fictionalised movies and shows about it!

This is a deadly cancer that must be eradicated.

The demand to take Iran! So they can complete the ‘plug’ that would control the trade routes between their lost Eden, the whole of EurAsia and Africa.

They believe they have piecemeal cutoff ‘Europe’ from Russia,
By chopping the cheap energy and transport routes and deindustrialising of Germany and Britain.

The masks finally came off and Aipac and their ziochristian Bible belters assured a never ending attempt to take it all – west Asia and another attempt to destroy Russia with the neonazi proxy ukropian crazies raised from birth and imbued with Russophobia.

Crazed fascist banderist Hitler loving SS emulating, natzios with full western command control and armaments! That’s what McCann and Ladyboy Graham and Clintonites and Bush’s have always worked towards.

That is clear in the sham votes in both Houses which have given the potus a legal clearance to proceed with a bigger war.

I wondered the same in a previous thread. Turkey has the second largest NATO army, about half a million men which would grow if attacked. Israel is currently not winning in Lebanon and Iran. Despite of this dreams of attacking Turkey? Or perhaps: because of this?

There is, yet again, a particularly German twist on this: a group of anti-Zionists called “kuffiyeh in Buchenwald” protested on April 11, Buchenwald memorial day, against the Palestine genocide. This caused a massive outcry in German mainstream media. Antisemitism accusations, smearing the memory of the dead, you know the drill. The protest was shut down by the police and had to move to Weimar. Among the organisers was Jewish Voice (Jüdische Stimme), an anti-Zionist Jewish group of Germans that’s fully marginalised in the country.

Some protesters were descendants of Holocaust survivors.

Hitler like leaders always
(1) say I won’t be stupid like former leaders and take on everyone at once
(2) plan to defeat their enemies one at a time
(3) but end up unwittingly fighting all their enemies at once since their escalatory algorithm gives them no choice
(4) they get destroyed for ever.

If you include in the analysis the fact that they believe they have the entire US military at their disposal, everything will be clearer.

I do include the US, and it only gets more confusing. Do you believe that the US is ready to fight Turkey?

There’s a lot of talk about NATO dissolution or USA getting out of NATO. I don’t think so. As long as NATO is good for something (it is, and it’s likely to be for a while), USA will not abandon anything. For Washington, NATO is one piece in the game, a particular way to enact control over the EU vassals (plus Norway, UK, Turkey).

I don’t think it’ll happen but let’s assume Israel manages to force the USA to choose between Israel and Turkey: is it obvious that the former is more relevant for Washington than the latter? Many here will say: of course! But if you look at a map, and geopolitical relevance, I doubt it. Militarily, IDF is a spent force, Turkey’s army not at all. A combined USA/Israel attack on Turkey forces Ankara into the open arms of the US’ main opponent. I don’t see it.

It’s weird, Jews are ~2.2% of the US population and based on the polls*, ~4,235,000 of US-Jews are, in-fact, Israeli-americans and yet those ~4,235,000-Israeli-americans control every single media/financial/governmental lever of power. 1.2% of the population who thinks of the other 97.8% of the population as “cattle” call all the shots…that ain’t democracy or, representative government.

Israeli wars 1967/73 made the US a $#!t-hole in the 1970’s and they look ready to do it all over again. Shortages everywhere, inflation rampant…all for Israeli/Israeli-american interests. What a miserable group of people.

*[40% of US-Jews see Israel as genocidal, that’s a good thing that we should keep in mind.  55% of US-Jews-[really, they’re Israeli-americans] some ~4,235,000 believe Israelis are doing God’s work by brutally slaughtering their neighbors, with US-Taxpayer-Provided-Funds, that’s a bad thing we shouldn’t forget.]

Its hard to imagine how anyone actually paying attention would not see this coming.
And can there be any doubt that Zio finance is coordinating its activity on the economic front via market manipulation timed with Trump’s statements?  If you’re one of those that still think individual strategies to avoid the economic collapse are viable: Get out of the market and into assets with inherent value which you directly manage.  Nonetheless, the only real solution to all this is collective class opposition to the Zio Imperialist 5th column that currently enslaves the western wage slaves.  Talk to your neighbors, CO workers and friends about what’s going on.  Organize yourselves before their police state is complete.
Oh, yes, and I discovered “Konami” is a machine.  I think he may have replaced princess Boody-ca.  It’s programmed to play the ‘reasonable man” and spends all its time talking to other well know trolls in an effort to divert the discussion.  He particularly likes to talk about “anti semitism”.  No surprise there….

But here we are.

I thought it was impossible to convince the Europe of human rights to openly support a genocide.

I deduce from this that the Israelis are convinced they can get Western governments to do whatever they want.

I, too, logically thought that the US, even if they wanted to, would never have attacked Iran.

I never thought that and I certainly have never said so. US plans on Iran: the country was on the “seven country in five years” list (general Wesley Clark 2007). There’s the “Path to Persia” document that include military measures. Since IRI inception, the USA had a permanently hostile policy towards Iran, including decades of sanctions.

USA stance vs. Turkey is a completely different ballpark. I fail to see how you would want to align these. Usually I agree with your assessments but here you lose me.

I don’t know, Trump is obviously a lunatic, but when he said the Iranians were negotiating (and the rumor was it was with Ghalibaf), and Marandi denied it, going as far as to tweet “Trump is negotiating with himself”, it turned out to be true!  As I have stated before, there is anger and distrust among the Iranian people at the opaqueness of their leaders — their blatant lack of transparency as to what is exactly happening behind the scenes with these “negotiations”.

I fear the current crop of Iranian leaders might end up looking like Delcy Rodríguez in the end.  I can even recall when Trump was making all kinds of claims regarding the latter — how she was going to do all that she was told.  There were fierce denials against Trump’s bravado regarding the abject compliance of the new Venezuelan leader, but that turned out to be true too!

You are surprised by Israeli ambitions. What I’m saying isn’t my opinion; I’m trying to get you to see things from their perspective.

They believe they control powerful tools, the US military and Western governments, which go so far as to silence their own citizens for them.

They think like that and they say so.

We are completely out of any logic.

I’ll defy this as long as I can. There is *always* some logic, no matter how twisted. I believe it’s worth finding out how people (in particular: the enemy) comes up with plans. The other side will have very different (possibly wrong) assumptions but from those assumptions, they’ll make what they deem the best possible move. I can see how Israel may want to attack Turkey invoking the USA; I cannot see how that’d be useful (from a 100% utilitarian POV) for the USA, that’s all.

Many of the worst events in human history weren’t driven by madness but by logic.

I have no faith in the Western press, and I’m quite familiar with their machinations and their not so subtle Empire propaganda.  But what in my post was false?  Did you check out the posts that I provided? Ali Alizadeh is not part of the Western press.

And can there be any doubt that Zio finance is coordinating its activity on the economic front via market manipulation timed with Trump’s statements?

Ahenobarbus, thank you for mentioning this.    It is very important.

No surprise there….I place the black spot on the bot that calls itself “Konami”. Do not touch Konami lest you catch it’s Zio Imperialist curse, maties!

I don’t understand. What’s “Zio” about the commenter “Konami” here:

…I don’t think it’ll happen but let’s assume Israel manages to force the USA to choose between Israel and Turkey: is it obvious that the former is more relevant for Washington than the latter? Many here will say: of course! But if you look at a map, and geopolitical relevance, I doubt it. Militarily, IDF is a spent force, Turkey’s army not at all. A combined USA/Israel attack on Turkey forces Ankara into the open arms of the US’ main opponent. I don’t see it.

I can’t imagine a scenario in which the USA would fight the Turkish military. Much more likely the USA would attempt another coup against Erdoğan (Gülen is still alive and well, isn’t he?), employing pliant elements in the Turkish military hierarchy.

But since Erdoğan is pro-“Israel” (not in words of course but in actual behavior), I’m sure he would be happy dividing the spoils with the Zionazis, so it isn’t as if the USA needs to choose between it and the Turks.

That’s sweet, Julianna.  I’m always glad to see a human being at the bar.
I’m not the only one talking about it, either.  No less that Alister Crooke is covering this coordinated market behavior.
And is it really a surprise considering the overwhelming Zio control of the US economy and all markets?
Again and again, get your money out now.  This sucker is going down!

Don’t I?  I place the black spot on “M”,  just one of a remarkable number of “Konami” supporters.
B, please bring back Love Donbass.  Yes, he can be a dick, but he has the time and inclination to sort out this small army of socks that just ruin the bar for living breathing human beings.  LD was a true opponent of Zio Imperialism and thus deserves his chair at the bar.

If this is our James, just check out our exchange last night.  Or better yet, just look at the rush of his supporters coming out of the woodwork right now.  Take a look at those handles.
Did “Konami” build all this support with his amazing commentary?
