War On Iran: – Ceasefire Sabotage

The Trump administration’s self-congratulations for the ceasefire with Iran immediately fell apart after Israel bombed Lebanon and killed more than 250 people.

This was a breach of the ceasefire agreement which Pakistan had arranged and announced and which had included Lebanon and other areas of the conflict.

The Trump administration had been begging for a ceasefire for several days. It had been involved (archived) in formulating the message the Pakistani Prime Minister had issued. Trump himself had endorsed the 10-point condition sheet the Iranians had proposed by calling it “a workable basis on which to negotiate”.

With knowledge of the imminent ceasefire members of the Trump administration had (again) waged bets on commodities and won large amounts of money.

But just a few hours after the Israeli attack the Trump administration repudiated two central points of the ceasefire. Lebanon was not included in the ceasefire, it suddenly claimed, and Iran’s 10 point sheet had been “thrown into the trash” even before Trump had endorsed it.

Iran reacted by immediately closing the Strait of Hormuz (archived) for good. Only four ships, all coming from Iranian ports, have passed during the last 24 hours.

The statement by Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian is plain:

The repeated aggression by the Zionist entity against Lebanon is a flagrant violation of the initial ceasefire agreement and a dangerous indicator of deceit and lack of commitment to potential accords. The continuation of these aggressions will render negotiations meaningless; our hands will remain on the trigger, and Iran will never abandon its Lebanese brothers and sisters.

While there is currently no bombing of Iran ongoing, and no new launching of Iranian drones and missiles on USraeli targets, the quietness is unlikely to hold.

Further talks, supposed on happen on Saturday in Pakistan, are in doubt.

I expect the war to reignite before they take place.

So after Iran says we either all be prosperous or none, Crooke wants to change the economic system. And Tucker thinks that was a fine speech. What does that tell us about Tuckers superiors? Because Tucker is a spokesman for an influential group no doubt. I am not used to notice signals from the US pointing towards any novel type of politics. So I guess I may misunderstand.

So, aka Brian Berletic who says that UScand Israel always co-ordinate plans,  the truth is that  Trump , because he didn’t  accept Iran’s 10 points, pre- arranged the Israeli  punch on Lebanon, to immediately sabotage the ceasefire he was about to sign.

Not the first time he has blamed Israel.

Some food for your brain.  The shape of these devices is of particular importance.  Which may give you some idea of what I am working on.  Victorian scientists like Oliver Lodge and James Larmour called it the Aether, per Lodge, electrostatics and magnetic fields are how you interact with it.

This sort of technology is what may have disabled the US Destroyer Donald Cole in the Black Sea a few years ago.  Jammed the rudder so it kept going in circles, with over a dozen simulated attack runs over the deck, while fire control on the ship was disabled.  Russians study esoteric phenomena that western academia scoffs at.

Ignore this sort of thing at your own peril.  Russian Academy of Science is a peer reviewed group with tough entrance requirements.  Look up Gennady Shipov for more theory and technical details.  Then, there is Keshe, an Iranian scientist, whose discoveries are not well known in the west.  Do we really want to keep poking Iran?

For people wondering about why Witkoff and Kushner are involved in the negotiations, I would refer you to Escapekey’s article on March 30th, https://escapekey.substack.com/p/kushner-and-witkoff

To summarise, without going into too much detail, it’s all about the money. I will include a small excerpt as a taster:

Alastair Crooke, a former British diplomat and founder of the Conflicts Forum, described the mechanism in February 202611. The failure to resolve the Ukraine conflict, he argued, is a feature — one that opens a path for business to be done, for stakeholder deals to be cut, and for billions to be shared out.

Trump, Witkoff and Kushner are said to be confident that they can construct a financial reward system for western debt-holders, investors and politicians that succeeds in retaining the financial rewards of war — without the ancillary ingredient of bloodshed.

The territorial issues, security guarantees, EU membership status, and the position of NATO are, in Crooke’s framing, ‘downstream details once the larger payment system is organised’.

That sentence deserves to be read twice. The politics is downstream of the payment system, the governance is downstream of the financial architecture, and the settlement conditions are downstream of the clearing house. What Crooke is describing is not a peace process — it is the installation of a new financial system, with conflict resolution as its onboarding mechanism.

It is an angle that is well worth considering, and may go a long way to explaining Russia’s current stance. Worth a read, as are all his essays.

Carlson said the current system doesn’t work for Commonfolk, which is what Crooke’s been saying since I began following him six years ago. The financialized way of making money from money but produces nothing tangible isn’t sustainable and has proven to be a failure globally. There’s another path that’s better than following the financialized pied piper off the cliff.

Iran’s Leader Mojtaba Khamenei: ‘we will certainly move the management of the Strait of Hormuz into a new phase.’
He issued a statement on the 40 days of mourning for his father and other martyers.
These are the most significant points of a long statement mostly praising his father (machine translation):

  • Therefore, it should not be assumed—by announcing that negotiations are taking place with the enemy—that presence in the streets is no longer necessary. On the contrary, even if, hypothetically, the period of silence in the arena of military confrontation has necessarily arrived, the responsibility of the people—those who are able to be present in public squares, neighborhoods, and mosques—appears heavier than before.
  • At this same moment, I say to Iran’s southern neighbors that you are witnessing a miracle. So observe it correctly, understand it properly, stand in the right place, and be wary of the false promises of devils. We are still waiting for an appropriate response from you so that we may demonstrate our brotherhood and goodwill toward you. This will not be achieved unless you turn away from the arrogant powers, who never miss an opportunity to humiliate and exploit you. Everyone should know that, God willing, we will certainly not let go of the criminal aggressors who attacked our country. We will surely demand compensation for every single damage inflicted, as well as blood money for the martyrs and compensation for the wounded of this war. And we will certainly move the management of the Strait of Hormuz into a new phase.

Maverick and Giyane – when going for the jugular requires cutting your own throat, there’s a certain amount of reluctance to do it, to put it mildly.
While I appreciate the desire by many on this board to sacrifice Iran’s welfare to defeat the empire, the Iranians themselves need to have the final say as to how far they are willing to go, right? They’ve more than done their bit, I’d say.

AUH makes a valid point in going to the heart of the problem that your average American worker is the backbone supporting US hegemony and the ultimate enablers of the war crimes their government commits. Just as the US recognized it was ok to incinerate entire Japanese and German cities in ww2 to achieve final victory, it could be similarly argued that the incineration of American cities is necessary before victory over its military forces could be achieved. AUH might be right. War crimes to be sure. But has a single American or Brit senior commander ever been prosecuted for committing such horrific war crimes. On the contrary they get monuments and are hailed as heroes, gladly lapped up by most average Americans. Oh but they did go after Calley for giving the order to massacre women and children yet even he got released after a few months.

Posted by: Nemesis | Apr 9 2026 18:37 utc | 128

Might is right!
You do not even know the history. US and the winners of 2nd Woodward made UN. They tried Naazis with consent of Russia, UK, and France. There was no law before that. There was no law protecting the winning party, after all The winning party kills to losing force. The Nuremberg trials were meant to discourage Hitler and Co from becoming martyrs. Their fates were sealed when they lost the was. The trials were a sham, so wa UN. before that there was a league of Nations. Now there is a “peace board” how did that go? There are Nazzis in US and they were used by US.

Only weak people talk of indirect shit like UN. Do you know that China got it’s permanent NSC seat in 70s, before it was used by Formosa (tiawan today). Did it make any difference?
So the Winner Takes it all stays the logic. Stupid people and small insignificant countries just keep quoting UN resolutions.
But the good thing is that there is a turn around in who holds power. UAE was trucial States until 1971, before the were part of British, before that they were part of Ottoman Empire.

In 10 to 15 years, everything will be controlled by somebody else. That is life! but only weakling and smaller states think laws are important. It does not matter to the winners.

You do yourself no favors when you call Tesla a nutcase – cause if you didn’t know – there is dc and there is ac and Tesla advocated for one over the other – so let me ask – are you a servant of Edison?
~
Truly – there is no way to keep a “good idea” down assuming humanity is around to utilize said good idea – just like Kropotkin spoke of Mutual Aid at the end of the 19th century and then the 20th century happened – and we are “dealing” with spoiled rotten brat remnants of 20th century ideology – who need to made aware – their ideas have been proven unworthy and better ideas beckon.

Until two days ago, everybody was proclaiming Iran was winning. Now you turn around and state that they had to capitulate or be destroyed. Which is it, you can’t have it both ways.

The truth is that Iran was forced to the negotiating table by it’s so called allies, Russia and China. Instead of providing the political and military support Iran needed, they instead offered weak, almost non-existent verbal support while behind the scenes forcing Iran into a humiliating negotiations with the genocidal warmongers. Iran on it’s own cannot take on The Empire of Lies, and indeed they are alone. Nothing else could explain this sudden turn around from victory to defeat.

Posted by: Maverick | Apr 9 2026 18:40 utc | 131

Canada, the Czech Republic, Albania, North Macedonia, Lithuania, and Latvia are among the NATO members who have publicly backed the strikes on Iran.  Why? How has Iran affected them?

  1. But did they contribute?
What is “support”?  For an illegal war of choice?

According to German outlet Spiegel, Mr Rutte told members that Mr Trump is expecting concrete commitments to send in warships or other military capabilities in the coming days. Will they, can they? Exactly what leverage has DT over them? The latest version of a coalition of the willing V2 lead aging but Starmer the nobody for various  navy ships to be present after the  “peace “.
And considering whether the tripartite USA Iran Pakistan  three version proposals of varying numbers , or should it  be  quadripartite peace USA Iran Israel Pakistan with however many points , but with  clearly deliberate and selective misunderstandings omissions disagreements in no way can be called a qualifying  diplomatic process.
But DT is
plotting revenge against NATO allies who failed to support his war in Iran by potentially removing US troops from member countries.
The President was reportedly mulling that drastic move after meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Wednesday amid a widening rift between Washington and the alliance.
‘None of these people, including our own, very disappointing, NATO, understood anything unless they have pressure placed upon them!’ Trump posted on Thursday morning.
The President, who had recently suggested the US could leave the alliance, expressed anger toward the bloc in a scathing social media post Wednesday night.
‘NATO WASN’T THERE WHEN WE NEEDED THEM, AND THEY WON’T BE THERE IF WE NEED THEM AGAIN,’ Trump wrote in an all-caps post. ‘REMEMBER GREENLAND, THAT BIG, POORLY RUN, PIECE OF ICE!!!’

France and Spain forbade use of airspace overflights…UK in the middle allowing use of airbases….
The Trump administration was considering repositioning some of the 84,000 American troops stationed in Europe and may even close a US base in at least one EU nation, possibly Spain or Germany.
Surely this is all a complete impotent  travesty , a shame if the highest degree of failure , increasingly visible such as a tragi-comedy of the worst kind considering citizen victims every where. Seems DT has taken on some characteristic of z by saying we did this on your behalf saving you from non existent threats but without consultations considerations …. Minsk was a pretence by its sponsors  fraud just as the USA negotiations are.
It is total mess with so many bad ingredients in the cooking pot , but the Iranian fire of intent justice and  purity will keep heating the pot until the contents are burnt to a cinder and the pot cracks and explodes.

I am well studied.

Nikola Tesla, born in 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia (then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire), possessed a photographic memory and genius that his employer Thomas Edison allegedly exploited to his financial detriment.  While Edison capitalized on his inventions to live in luxury, Tesla died penniless and alone on January 7, 1943, in Room 3327 of the New Yorker Hotel in New York City.

Posted by: Ken Hausle | Apr 9 2026 18:50 utc | 142

RIC passivity is widely condemned.

President Putin has been widely criticized for not being aggressive enough against Ukraine, Europe, and the US.  Today, European nation are slowly drifting away from the US.  The US has lost its bases in West Asia.  Israel is the most hated nation on earth.  Iran has demilitarized US forces in Eastern Asia, Ukraine, and Europe.  The assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader  has motivated Iraqis to work together to kick the US out of its country.  They are not quite done, and they need to rework their existing oil contracts.  This was unimaginable 2 months ago.

https://www.warcosts.org/military-spending-by-country    Russia in 2024 had an annual military budget of 150 billion a year.  Iran 6 billion.  Over the last few months, the US spent an extra 200 billion on military aid, more than the entire annual military budget of both combined.  Russia and Iran are both standing tall.  The US has to take forces from other parts of the world to continue.

The Epstein Class has a lot of power left.  As much as I fail to understand the way that RIC is fighting, my best guess is that when the conflict finally ends, the Epstein Class will be substantially weakened but not destroyed.  Russia, Iran, and China will rebuild themselves and other nations.  People living in the US will be some of the last people to enjoy the new prosperity.

As was Henry Ford, that despicable racist mofo.
As well as that other sonofabitch David Sarnoff (RCA) who royally screwed over Edwin Armstrong, the inventor of FM broadcasting.

Many examples of that in the engineering and technology world.

If people were indeed claiming Iran had “won”, they were wrong. Or, at least, the old saying that “if this is victory, I don’t want to see defeat” comes to mind.
Nobody is winning here … there are just different levels of losing. Iran did not want its infrastructure to be dismantled by the war criminals; and the war criminals knew that doing that destruction was not going to solve their economic problem. So a solution had to be found.

Wars rarely end in clearcut victories in the other country’s capitals … they usually end by negotiations. So they’re negotiating now … if it’s too soon, the war will resume until both sides are ready to compromise. Hopefully, we’re already there … but likely not.

Don’t presume to think what somebody else think is my advice to you – and really if you were starving in Ireland when England created a famine for the folks there – do you think you should just die in place?  If so, you are clueless – and truly Einstein made many mistakes – and so have you Jenn – so have I.  Just don’t be presuming please about somebody you never met face-to-face.

@151,

Nobody is winning here … there are just different levels of losing. Iran did not want its infrastructure to be dismantled by the war criminals; and the war criminals knew that doing that destruction was not going to solve their economic problem. So a solution had to be found.

The solution for it is already “tested” now. It’s called Venezuela scenario. Will see if that is the one that it will be implemented.

So FYI George – tis is a sampling easily found nowadays thanks to Tesla I reckon:

Nikola Tesla’s most transformative contribution was the development of the alternating current (AC) power system, which enabled the efficient long-distance transmission of electricity and replaced Thomas Edison’s direct current (DC) to become the global standard for electrical grids.  His work with George Westinghouse led to the creation of the first hydroelectric power plant at Niagara Falls in 1896, which revolutionized how energy is generated and distributed.
Beyond electricity, Tesla pioneered foundational technologies that define the modern world, including the radio (later recognized by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1943), the remote control (demonstrated with a radio-controlled boat in 1898), and the Tesla coil.  His visionary ideas also laid the groundwork for wireless communication, X-rays, lasers, radar, fluorescent and neon lighting, and the basic concepts of robotics and wireless energy transmission.
Tesla attributed over 700 inventions and 100 patents to his work, many of which remain uncredited or unfulfilled, such as his vision for free, wireless global energy distribution via the Wardenclyffe Tower.  Despite facing financial ruin and lack of recognition during his lifetime, his legacy endures as the father of the electrical age, with his name honored in the unit of magnetic field strength (the tesla) and the electric vehicle company Tesla, Inc.

Posted by: Acco Hengst | Apr 9 2026 17:10 utc | 934 Thanks for the reasoned response.Still very hard to accept. Israel ADs were the first strategic targets.By all appearances, Iran has eliminated them. Second strategic targets would the airports by which Israel gets resupplied AND from which their planes take off to go bomb the hell out of Iran.I am not a military guy, but it is a no brainer. 1-Hard to believe that a 1 1/2 ton warhead, or larger, hitting a runway can be all patched up in a few hours. 2- If I am wrong on number 1, and Israel keeps the planes in Underground bunkers, there are elevators that move them up and down, probably underneath hangers, which satellite surveillance can detect. Why are they not bombing those hangers/elevators? 3-If nothing else, Iran should have some intelligence as to when the planes are brought to surface to take off for bombing runs. All they need is a couple of missles on stand by to be launched at that time.Hell, if they can not do that, then bomb the runways while the planes are in the air, so they can not land.  Conclusion, since none of those options are being pursued, Iran is, for some bizarre reason, fighting with one hand tied behind their back,OR THE SCRIPT CALLS for them to not bomb Israel airports and runways and this whole shit show is planned out just like Covid and the vax was. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Here is more George and Jenn:

  • Tesla was sent to the US by American scouts to work for Edison, arriving with only four cents in his pocket and a letter of introduction.
  • The two inventors clashed over Alternating Current (AC) versus Direct Current (DC), leading to Tesla leaving Edison to develop his own patents, which were later licensed by George Westinghouse.
  • Tesla’s later years were marked by financial ruin, partly due to J.P. Morgan withdrawing funding for his Wardenclyffe Tower project, which aimed to wirelessly transmit free energy.
  • Despite holding nearly 300 patents and creating the foundation for modern radio and AC power systems, Tesla died in obscurity, having been bamboozled by powerful figures including Edison.
  • His final words reflected deep sorrow: “All these years that I had spent in the service of mankind brought me nothing but insults and humiliation.”

What a sad story that is – time for the harm pushers to get their due – time for better ideas that beckon.  Time for that out of respect for Tesla and Kropotkin for that matter.  It is time.  Do or die time I reckon.

The Hormuz straits is the lynch pin of the world economy. the deindustrialization of the west over the last 50 plus years was off the back of cheap gulf oil which was used to create the new location of world manufacturing in South East and East Asia heavily reliant on cheap fuel and gas. On top of that we now know that comodity production and AI  are based in the Gulf. Iran holds a hand of 4 aces

Wars rarely end in clearcut victories in the other country’s capitals … they usually end by negotiations. So they’re negotiating now … if it’s too soon, the war will resume until both sides are ready to compromise. Hopefully, we’re already there … but likely not.

You sidestep the reason Iran was forced into negotiations….That it was the lack of support from Iran’s “allies” Russia and China that put them in this position. You also ignore the fact, and it is a fact, that you cannot negotiate with genocidal monsters. It never works to your benefit…ever. Something Iran is acutely aware of. The very fact that they are going to, is almost definitive proof in itself that Iran was indeed forced into it by their so called friends.

Oh yes … so much winning for Iran that it’ll take hundreds of billions to repair and replace what they had before the war … not to mention the irreplaceable dead like the girls and boys in Minab.

Iran has demonstrated that they will cause large pain to the global economy of anyone attempts to attack them. They will attempt to use this lever to get as much as they can from the US empire; but it is a brittle tool and can be overused. It should be quickly apparent if there’s room for negotiation now or more war is forthcoming.

Posted by: Caliman | Apr 9 2026 19:32 utc | 168

Very hard to make out what’s really happening.

It’s clear as crazycanuck mentioned earlier, the Epstein coalition needs a pause to to recalibrate.

The same could be true for Iran too. With China, the agreement to hold talks was at their request.

With Iran showing real deterrence capabilities and determination, both Russia and China could go “all in”. Anyway,  that’s what I am hoping for.

Calling Tesla a nutcase is ridiculous.

His mind was operating at a level that few humans would be able to talk to him in any meaningful way.

Everything unexplained is witchcraft to the ignorant and that’s why Tesla had such a hard time.

Posted by: Archetypex | Apr 9 2026 19:37 utc | 170

The only thing I know for a fact: when you are born (not that you wanted to) you start dying. Death is the only inevitable thing.
Religion is invented for distraction to cause us .vs. them and people use this construct for distraction alone.

All those that are dead are just that dead! No matter if they were the best snake oil salesmen, or lived in a shithole country. People live lives which are happy and sad.
Anyone thinks that dead are inequal is fooling himself. The moment you die, your fears and worries are over. I will never wish a long life to anyone. It is stupid feeble minded people who think that “living a full life” means something.

People do not understand what “military industrial complex” means.
People even think that spreading their ashes means something. The manner of death is “barberic” etc. The guillotine was the most humane way of killing.

No amount of winning medals be it a war medal or Noble prize means that the person is any less dead.
You cannot prove anything else. My brother called to tell me that Queen Elizabeth died: I told him ‘congratulations’ much longer she wished to live? After fucking up her kid, who was 70+ and the fucker has cancer.
It does not matter who you are, when you are dead you are no less dead.
Everything else is bullshit!

Suresh – as Newbie says, the Strait IS a brittle tool. Heretofore, Iran has had “right” on its side: it was criminally attacked and can justly claim significant reparations. Nobody minds the Gulf countries being fleeced a little or even a lot.

On the other hand, if Iran overplays the hand and tries to claim “master” status, it can be smacked down by the combined actions of the RoW. That’s likely what China has been warning them against, though it’s very hard to tell.

Someone made a comment upthread about the bombing yesterday by Occupied Palestine in Lebanon and intimated that the targeting was based on some zoom meeting participants that had their locations inferred from participation and then all bombed in 10 minutes.

I am here to say this is quite possible with the current AI that can hack zoom to get the mac address of the participants and then hack all the cell sites to determine the triangulation of each mac address for location and that info is fed into targeting of the bombing……sick use of AI but quite possible/probable.

A message from Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on the occasion of the fortieth day (Arbaeen) since the martyrdom of the great Leader of the Revolution, and regarding important matters related to the third imposed war:

Forty days have passed since one of the greatest crimes of the enemies of Islam and Iran, and one of the heaviest public tragedies in the history of this people—the painful martyrdom of the great Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the father of the Iranian people, the leader of the Islamic Ummah, and the Imam of truth-seekers in the present era, the master of the martyrs of Iran and the resistance front, the great Khamenei.

Forty days and nights since the world’s arrogant powers removed deceptive masks from their faces, revealing the ugly and satanic face of killing, injustice, aggression, lies, tyranny, child-killing, and corruption. In contrast, the children of the great Khomeini and the dear Khamenei, the followers of original Muhammadan Islam, have turned the third imposed war into an epic of holy defense, proving that although bereaved by the departure of their martyred leader, they have made this loss into an epic and mourning into a battle cry.

The Leader highlighted the qualities of the martyred leader: a perceptive jurist, a tireless mujahid, steadfast as a mountain, a divine scholar, deeply faithful to God’s promises, a lover of Iran who worked tirelessly for its independence while emphasizing national unity and harmony. Among his arts were the art of education and building society through shaping ideas and spirits, building purposeful institutions, strengthening the country’s military structure, and the ability to foresee distant events. These qualities stemmed from divine blessings and his dedicated struggle for truth.

The Leader emphasized that the path to a stronger Iran passes through unity among different segments of society, which has been evident during these forty days as hearts have drawn closer and divisions have begun to melt away. He addressed Iran’s southern neighbors, urging them to witness the miracle unfolding, to stand in the right place, and to distrust the promises of the devils.

He declared: By God’s permission, we will not leave the criminal aggressors who attacked our country. We will demand compensation for every damage, for the blood of the martyrs, and for the injuries of the war. We will certainly bring the management of the Strait of Hormuz into a new phase. We were not seekers of war and are not, but we will not abandon our legitimate rights in any way, keeping the entire resistance front before our eyes.

The Leader called for mutual care among the people to reduce pressure from war shortages, protection of ears from enemy-backed media, and keeping alive the determination for revenge for the blood of the martyred leader and all war martyrs. He concluded by addressing Imam Al-Mahdi, expressing the people’s presence under his banner in the face of the front of disbelief and arrogance, seeking his special prayers for decisive victory.

I believe that the problem starts with getting born. If you are not born the problem is solved. So to bring kids into this world is stupid. Those who die younger are better off. Those who live longer make the lives of their caregivers hell, lose friends, loved ones die, kids grow up to be drug addicts or at the minimum not what you wanted.
I will list best option in descending order:

  1. Never born.
  2. Dying young.
  3. Become like Biden, Trump, or Charles, someother assh*le in the end. That is the worst option.

“The Trump administration had been begging for a ceasefire for several days.” So why did Iran accept it? The cheerleaders here think Trump was just bluffing and had to back down. OK, then Iran should have let his deadline pass. They didn’t. Why? Right before the ceasefire, cheerleaders were saying that Iran wouldn’t accept a ceasefire, because it would be suicidal (they were at least right about the suicidal part). Once the ceasefire happened, some of the same commenters were calling it a victory. Now they are eager for the ceasefire to fall through and the shooting to restart. Why, if the ceasefire was a victory?

Most ships cannot get insured for the passage.
Those that wish to try without insurance can get protection by adhering to Iranian requirements.
Those that try and run the gauntlet can be taken out by marine drones.
