juliania, just catching up with this thread again. When it became clear Iran and US were leaving to attend the peace talks, I began reading the Iran threads.
 
Slowly recovering again now but have not got back to the opal cutting yet. Problem turned out to be immune reaction to Bananas. I had started eating one or two a day thinking they were safe. Caused a big loss and imbalance of electrolytes. That is slowly stabilizing and rebalancing now. Today is the best I have felt probably since I began eating the things several weeks. At its worst, I was sleeping eighteen to twenty hours a day. Very weak and light headed.
 
Have still been watching the opal auctions but not buying anything. Anything I am interesting in I put in a low bid just to get them on my bid list. With this recent bout of illness, I have missed a number, often sleeping through them. One though, I had put a one dollar bit on. A nice little blue or purple crystal it may cut a one carat stone – perhaps $100. I missed the auction but it turned out to my great surprise, I had won it at a dollar. Nobody else put in a bid. Then I found another little parcel with four stones. At that time, bidding was very low so not a lot of interest in them. I studied them carefully and though the had a chance of cutting some very nice stones so decided to try and get them if the bidding did not go high.
 
The serious bidding only starts in the last five minutes before close and every bid then added a minute to the clock.
I nearly forgot about it and when I got back to it, the auction was just closing and too late to enter a bid. They went dirt cheap and I was kicking myself over that.
 
I don’t intend buying much again till what I have are finished and sold. Most of the tops are polished now, just one batch left for the cutting and polishing. The final stage is the grinding the backs perfectly so the seat properly in Jewelry. Getting the backs very accurate may be the hardest part to master.
Should be able to get back to the opal cutting tomorrow.

After reading the linked article I would not dismiss Peter Magyar as an EU-stooge too quickly.The article,malheureusement in French,treats about the 243 page program of the Tisza party that features many interesting points about sovereignty,immigration,aid to families,etc.
 
I’m inclined to consider the possibility of Orban passing the baton to Magyar by deliberately wanting to lose the election by receiving Vance to plead his cause.
 
His time was up,and we might see Magyar continuing more or less Orban’s policy.

So many Americans are duped into believing the US propaganda:  Maduro was heavily involved in drug trafficking into the US.  The people of Venezuela just want to be free and the US is freeing them from the dictator who has kept them poor and subservient.  The people of Venezuela will be so much better off without Maduro.  Delcy is a good leader.
 
This same propaganda that says the people of Iran just want to be free.  The people of Cuba just want to be free.  It is so sad and infuriating.

I am not good with bananas myself, Peter.  Every now and then I think I should get some for the potassium but I don’t fare well with doing that.  Something has me a bit off today  –not bananas, but I will do just sugary pomegranate seed tea plus crackers to give my tummy a break.  I don’t have the clinical expertise you do, just follow my body’s instructions.  Hot tea is my go to, even when the weather is hot.  The tea doesn’t get hot enough at the altitude where I live, but I always feel better as soon as I start my regime.
 
Those auctions sound like a bit of a marathon but I’m glad it was finally worth it.  Great respect for your fingers – my youngest son did a lot of rock polishing.   We have a great variety of rocks here, near an ancient volcano,  more gravel than dirt in my soil.  It got warm too soon and my bulbs didn’t flower just leafed out luxuriantly except for a few clumps that were in total shade.  I was fooled by the warmth and even planted some tomato seedlings too early.  Yesterday I shifted them back into the little foam cups I use and brought them back inside – Easter was, as usual, a lot colder again.
 
This pomegranate tea is doing me good.

Talk now it that major world economic depression is now inevitable. I guess the only people/countries I worry about are those already in poverty or just starting to pull out of poverty. Africa being the big one but basically the non western, non vassal world.
Hopefully the global south can help those hardest hit.
 
Some years ago, I felt the west had to go through the absolute poverty of the Russian 90’s. I hadn’t thought about it in a long time. The other day, to crank the money to an extent, William Gruff said vote Trump again. But his reasoning was, Trump breaks through to dumbed down mins. People start looking about then and realize their sitting in a pot slowly being brought to the boil.
 
Because of Trump, more and more are starting to realise the west does not have democracy and our system is a complete farce. Yet so many still believe the crap they see in the media. Government institutions throughout the west, virtually all as corrupt as the many institutions that formed around the UN.
 
Rather than looking at the systems of government in the countries that are pulling people out of poverty and taking them to prosperity, due to the brainwashing, they believe the leaders and governments of those countries are authoritarian dictatorships.
 
To break through the brainwashing, the west has to be taken to absolute poverty. Greatly reduced life expectancy and that for 80 to 90% of the population. To the point of revolution. To the point the entirety of the Epstein class ceases to exist. Everyone in any position of authority investigated if people are squeamish.
 
Just things like people being arrested under terrorism laws for protesting genocide. Every police office involve should be charge with war crimes and accomplice to genocide. Every one above them who gave orders are war criminals assisting genocide. All law makers who formed those laws – enablers of genocide and treated in the same way as the Israel government. Execution. 
 
Every aspect of the west over the last several decades should be looked at and investigate. And no statute of limitations for war criminals. Corruption. No statue of limitation. Capital punishment as traitor to the people they were supposed to serve.
 
There has never been revolution in the west. I always think about Russia and china. They have had revolutions and divergent systems of government, different policies and now the can take what works best for them. But what is critical, those government actually serve their people.
 
And with this obsession with climate and gender, perhaps there should be something of all cultural revolution. All of that cult, send them out to the farms. Make them grow crops. Make them raise lifestock. Make actually grow the food required by society and put quotas on how much they must grow to feed society. Housing. Another critical aspect of life. After they have learned to grow enough food to feed society, make them build housing. Not just build housing bet provide the raw materials required. Time in the slammer if quotas are not met. And the slammer has to be such that they definately do not want to go there to get out of work.
 
The urbanised western would, many so far divorced from from any form of basics of live – it will take a lot to get the west back to a normal society.
