real problem; China by: Hanah 69

.
America is destroying the conduits of basics in order to figure out the next 2030-2040. No doubt. Let the EU die and focus in the real problem; China.

.
<=China is a real problem for whom?
From the viewpoint of humanity it does not matter who delivers goods and services it matters  only to the ‘in charge” mafia and the territory it governs.
.
The Epstein classes will send the USA to war to prevent anyone else from making profit or developing  a mouse trap that puts a mafia enterprise out of business. But Americans, and humans in general, are indifferent as to who provides….
The Epstein class uses the nation state system to define the territories their mafias control.
Honorable confrontation impossible by: Hanah @ 72

.
Epstein controlled nation state cannot to confront China, by fair means. ..

.
The war is inevitable because the trillions invested on war could have been used to create a competitive America which would have empowered Americans to challenge China.. Instead the Epstein owned USA wasted America.

Christian Zionism preceded Herzl by: petergrfstrm @ 287
Hertzl learned it from them anglosaxons.. the British invaded the US ..

.
Several novel versions of the Christian Religion came about that are considered a variant of Zionism. It is clear that it was the anglosaxons who were most ambitious to bring it about.

.
<=Have you a link or lead to such books.. I have been trying to determine the origins of Zionism.. I agree it was long before Hertz l. I have tracked some of it to the time of Otto Bismark, 1867.. but where and how did it get into his era is still a mystery..

It requires an almost Trumpian level of arrogance to argue with the Pope about theology.

Why ? A bunch of fancy dress pillocks arguing about the existence of imaginary beings ? It is to laugh !

My assessment from reading the Qur’an is that the Jews became arrogant and defiant before the punishment of the Exile to Babylon and enslavement there lforc100 years.

Then , in successive generations  other societies, like the Turkic nomads the Khazar,  and the British and later US Empires, admired them for their lying, violence snd arrogant Chutzpah.

It disturbs me that , even as we speak, Muslims today  around the world are slowly attracted to these abominations.
Rape me , I rape easy. In particular the.GCC.

This is a trial or Temptation from Allah
It remains  by Allah’s Will in order to bring out our sincerity. The Shi’a Axis of Resistance is an inspiration,  and the grovelling Daesh on the USUKIS  payroll are clear warning to every Muslim.

If you follow USUKIS,  you will be slaughtered like sheep. And who did USUKIS use to do much of the slaughtering of Islamic State in Moroniya Mosul?
IRGC.

Trump was not arguing with the Pope

He was claiming moral equivalency between the Pope’s Christian Humanity snd his own,  wanton Zionist extermination of innocent Muslims in Gaza, West Bank, Iran , Lebanon,  Syria, Afghanistan and Libya.

The “””” intellectuals “””” of USUKIS argue the moral equivalency of rape, and chastity, of international law and genocide, of bombing,  and signing Peace deals.

The fire of Hell is sustained by Molten rock and  supporters of measly moral equivalency.

Was there ever a man so deranged as to prepare his own condemnation for his own trial at the Hague?

Is the Pope a Catholic?

Well, it depends.  Catholicism underwent an edit and re-write in the 1960s, called Vatican 11.

How,? Why? Who was behind Vatican 11, after centuries of little liturgical change?

Meet Gregory Baum…………

https://nitter.net/chunguskitten/status/2044617233914032280

Gregory Baum was a Jewish convert to Catholicism who became a priest.

He was one of the architects of Vatican II.

He was among those that drafted Nostra Aetate to declare the Old Covenant still valid and end the church’s mission to convert Jews.

He left the priesthood afterwards.

Grok
Is it true. ?

Yes, the facts check out. Gregory Baum (born Gerhard Baum to a Jewish mother) fled Nazi Germany, converted to Catholicism in 1947, entered the Augustinians, and was ordained a priest in 1956.

As a Vatican II peritus, he authored the first draft of Nostra Aetate (1965), which affirmed God’s covenant with the Jews remains valid and rejected antisemitism. He left the priesthood in 1974 and was laicized.

Gregory Baum (born Gerhard Albert Baum, 1923 Berlin) had a Jewish mother and Protestant father.

He fled Nazi Germany in 1940, arriving in Canada as a refugee. Converted to Catholicism in 1946 after reading St. Augustine’s Confessions. Joined the Augustinians in 1947 and was ordained a priest.

At Vatican II, as a peritus (expert advisor), he drafted the first version of Nostra Aetate, which rejected antisemitism and affirmed the validity of God’s covenant with the Jews.

Laicized in 1974. Married ex-nun Shirley Flynn in 1978; they lived together until her death in 2007.
He had no children.

Later in life, he was in a same-sex relationship with a former priest and advocated for LGBT inclusion in the Church.

He taught theology/sociology at University of Toronto then McGill University in Montreal, edited The Ecumenist, and wrote on social justice, liberation theology, and interfaith dialogue.
Died in Montreal in 2017 at age 94.

Unfortunately for many trads, Malachi Martin worked closely with Baum in the drafts of Nostrae Aetate.

They didn’t get the final version they wanted.
But further proof of Martin’s role as a double agent whom many trads hold up as the arbiter of truth.

_____
I have no problem with Vance,  or anyone debating Catholic beliefs with the “Pope”, as Catholic “beliefs” are rather fluid notions anyway, post Vatican 11.

Should I post Tim Minchin’s The Pope Song again? it gives me a bit of a buzz.

Zionism.
Who started it ?

http://www.miftah.org/Doc/Factsheets/Other/Oct23a2k2.html

The First Zionist Congress was held in Basel, Switzerland in August 1897.
Three days after the August 29-31 gathering, Theodor Herzl, who organized the congress and led the Zionist movement until his death in 1904, declared: “If I were to summarize the Basel Congress in a few words . . . I would say this: in Basel, I have founded the Jewish state.”

Historian Heiko Haumann of Basel University, who organized this year’s main exhibition on the anniversary in Basel and edited the accompanying book, The First Zionist Congress In 1897, declared: “Herzl was to be proved right. The Zionist movement grew from humble beginnings to become a factor of historical importance and little more than 50 years had passed as, on November 29, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly agreed to the foundation of a Jewish state and the division of Palestine.”

The Zionist idea, of course, did not start with Herzl.
One of his predecessors, Moses Hess, advanced the view that “homelessness” was the heart of the Jewish problem.

He argued that Jews needed to lead a “normal national existence” and wrote that, “Without soil a man sinks to the status of a parasite, feeding on others.”

His thesis was that Jewish identity is essentially national and that anti-Semitism would always resist Jewish integration into European society.

There was, he believed, only one possible solution: a return to the land of Palestine.

I’m trying — and failing — to imagine an orchestra in my country (the USA) that would willingly accompany song. Too many Catholics here, I guess.

This one could be in the Ukraine or Iran thread.
https://sovereignista.com/2026/04/22/russia-is-soft-on-israel/
The author claims Russia has been soft on Israel but is no longer. That the switch was very recent.

That has been an underlying belief for years now. In the past, it may have had legs to run on, as many Russians are joint citizenship holders. I am glad to announce that the time is over.

We heard just a few days ago that 40 Israeli visitors to Russia were hived off into rooms upon arrival, where they were interrogated in terms of their stance on Iran. They were held for five hours according to the press. Israel went livid as they do and as usual called Ambassadors and this was widely reported in the Israeli press. Russia simply went ahead and did what they had to do.

The other evidence is long quote from Maria Zakharova (marvelous as usual), on the topic. Also very recent. I don’t know, maybe this kind of thing is new.  Russia Foreign Ministry:

Who was behind the sponsorship of Hitler’s Nazi party? The Bank of England (not to be confused with the Bank of Iran), in particular. And in general, it’s the same people who are now behind the Kiev regime, which has adopted Nazi ideology and is killing people on the basis of national and linguistic identity (even those it considers its own citizens)

… and I didn’t even mention that the U.S. hasn’t managed to successfully test multiple advanced systems that China has deployed and Russia has repeatedly proven in combat.

The era of global unipolar hegemony has ended. The only upside to the Iran conflict is that it makes that crystal clear without having the US, Russia & China fight directly.

@All Under Heaven @33 (https://www.moonofalabama.org/2026/04/iran-open-thread-2026-083.html#comment-1345999):

“The American wars are waged in the name of the American people because they do benefit all Americans. Unequally, but still.”

This was almost unquestionably true in the past, thanks to an overvalued dollar, cheap energy, cheap food, cheap imports, and mostly affordable housing, but the end was in sight sometime after America’s post-1980 Thatcherite/Reaganite régime greenlit the mass offshoring of American manufacturing. It was *clearly* no longer true by the end of the Great Recession of 2007+.

I’m left wondering where you get your impression of what life is currently like for the American hoi polloi. American TV shows where lifeguards can afford to rent a beautiful house on the canals of Venice, California? Americans who can afford to travel abroad? Americans who still have all of their teeth because they can afford to see a dentist?

The last time the US government did anything that significantly improved the lot of lower- and middle-class Americans was the mid-60s, with LBJ’s Great Society legislation (the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act, Medicare, Medicaid, and more). That was over 60 years ago. And the reason it didn’t go further than it did was because of the enormous cost of the Vietnam War!

Today, the US has (by far) the highest out-of-pocket and per-capita healthcare costs in the world, the *worst* average health outcomes in the developed world, and falling life expectancy (lower than Thailand’s). Half of Americans have no savings, live paycheck to paycheck, and can’t scrounge up $500 to deal with an emergency. Average Americans are no longer benefiting one iota from the plutocracy’s wars of choice. We’re just paying the cost for them in blood and treasure.
