Your point, that you believe Hegseth is better than any Democrat, especially one gesturing at opposition to Trump, is the worst, is noted.

AuH is trying to get you to believe that what you saw with your own eyes and figured out with your own brain is wrong.

The community I live in is about 4,000 people that are almost all over 60 and retired. Most of them still do contract work or other things to earn extra money as it’s very expensive to live here.  They are all in a very close large city at least every other day.

During the covid years we (my community) went on as if life was normal. The guys at the hardware store here would actually make fun of the few people that came in wearing masks. We didn’t wear masks, we didn’t get vaccinated and we didn’t social distance or any of that crap.

Men shook hands like normal, the harbor bar and grill had music and dancing every weekend.

If you believe AuH, these old codgers should have been dying like flies.

No such luck. I know of noone here that died of covid or was even hospitalized. The only unusual death was a poor old man who forgot to put his roll bars up on the tractor while mowing a bad hilly spot and had his tractor roll and crush him.

I caught Covid on vacation in Italy and didn’t even know until I got back and went to my appt to give blood and I already had antibodies. I never noticed it and I’m definitely in the category of high risk for covid complications

Any evidence or studies about covid are really meaningless because the government, the health care industry and the government funded research institutions proved to us that they are untrustworthy.

 About Iran…
I still have one family member in the military who is part of a special operations group. For the last month they get constant warning orders that are all over the map. These get cancelled then another one issued a day or two later.
I think our military either: is incompetent and has no idea what they are doing or political leadership doesnt and keeps changing the goal posts or probably its both.

He has 2 months left and has already decided to leave the military for moral reasons and has his exit date set. Hope he lives through it, he’s one of the good ones that was able to throw off his indoctrination and look at what was really happening.

Thanks for those links get to the heart of the matter.  From the link directly:

Cattle were essential in the daily life of ancient Israel. Female cows provided milk, while castrated males (“oxen”) plowed fields and hauled heavy loads. Both types of cattle grazed in fields and pastures (Num 22:4; Isa 30:24), ate food like fodder or silage (Isa 20:24; Job 6:5), and rested in stalls or sheds (Hab 3:17; 2 Chr 32:28). However, cattle were vulnerable to diseases like anthrax and cattle plague, which could devastate herds (Exod 9:3; Jer 21:6; Ezek 14:19). When healthy animals died, they also provided meat, hide, and by-products.
Uncastrated male bulls were even more important than oxen. Unlike oxen, bulls could breed and thus increase livestock numbers. Since they were “intact,” bulls were preferred over oxen for ritual sacrifices (Lev 22:24). Biblical Hebrew reserves the term par for bulls, usually bulls as sacrifices (e.g., Lev 4:3; Isa 1:11). No special term exists for oxen. (English translations do not always maintain the distinction between bulls and oxen.) Bulls were a costly sacrifice in ancient Israel, used to atone for deeply serious transgressions (Lev 4:3), to consecrate priests (Lev 8:14), and at major celebrations and festivals (1 Kgs 1:9). Some traditional interpretations of Lev 22:24b argued that castrated cattle were forbidden in Israel (b. Ḥag. 14b;b. Shabb. 110b). But that is unlikely, as gelding cattle to produce oxen was simply too useful for Israelite farmers.

Makes one wonder why in India – the Hindus I reckon – treat cattle with such respect.
But fact of the matter when it comes to survival one will eat beef as well as pork.  I mean if the choice is life of death then the meat will be consumed – will it not?
~
So no judgement case upon those refuse to eat pork, but bacon is sustenance for those who need to survive – and survival takes precedence over religious views when push comes to shove and bulls are a symbol some take to extremes – but if you are in need of sustenance then I got a feeling you would eat just about anything including pork.
~
So I literally “throw” this comment out there to get folks thinking about what really matters when it comes to life and death, but I put forth that Iran was in their rights to defend themselves and if this creates “troubles” for the offensive ones, then so be it.  Let them reap what they sow.  The rest of us just trying to get by day-by-day deserve better and these 20th century fools full of themselves can eat the scraps from manure of their minds for all I care – let them reap what they have sown.  They have literally caused so much harm – and better ideas beckon.  Tis known.

“If it’s broadcasting it’s detectable.”

AN/PRQ-7, commonly known as the Combat Survivor Evader Locator (CSEL), is a secure, handheld survival radio used by U.S. and NATO forces for search and rescue operations.

Encrypted burst transmission showing exact gps co-ordinates, powers off. Over the horizon – no line of sight required. Totally secure.

Older unit – AN/PRC-112 – encrypted gps co-ordinates accurate to 100 metres. Secure until the last metres when it emits a VHF signal for final direction finding.

Simplicius has a wild 3 fisted story about the “rescue” of 2 US pilots.

https://simplicius76.substack.com/p/its-official-us-boots-on-ground-deep

The Osama bin Laden death scene sounds simple compared with this US flag boxer shorts waving tale of hundreds of hero warfighters. Leslie Nielsen will star in the Hollywood version as planes rain down like flaming cherry blossom petals in the Spring. Nothing is what it seems except of course a huge pile of wrecked planes.

And no one was hurt!!! Except of course Iranians.

The BH Surfers song is interesting in that it is quite cryptic in its words – its about American pain and the country’s historical secrecy (like now) but relevant to the civil war, Johnny Booth being the man who is purported to have shot/assassinated Abraham Lincoln as you would know. There is still discussion that he may not be in the grave and that Lincoln was the victim of a British spy at the time due to his wanting to stop British slavery.
Yeah – San Francisco (Scott McKenzie)  and a medley of other songs of time like The Mammas and The Pappas I well remember. I had a great friend here (Oz) from that era who sadly passed away last year; he came from Valeo and was still an archetypal hippy of the Haight-Ashbury district fame. A great man with a heart of gold. (never heard those songs set to Bass and Drums like that before.

OK.

Another take on the fiasco.

What if an advance party was inserted way earlier to scout for a DZ/LZ. That F15 was flying CAP/CAS.

Why would a single F15E be on a bombing run when there’s nothing there? Getting clipped and aircrew punching out suddenly drew a whole of attention, with rewards for capture of the Airmen.

Suddenly the risk for the SOF teams on the ground increases dramatically with villagers and local militia on the way.

Extractions orders issued and “plans executed which did not survive first contact with boogie” (von Moltke the Elder).

Nah!  Them just fukup biggly.

An article talking about how the US is allowing Venezuela to “sell” products to the US.  HOW NICE OF THE US.  The article also mentions the “brutal dictator” Maduro.  The US is definitely taking their gold, and figuring out how to get their oil as well.

https://youtu.be/-7UAwuqpw3s        Anti-Empire Project – there are multiple segment in the video.  Basic summary:

US / Israel could possibly win if they acted competently and strategically.  They win by the US and Israel surviving, and everyone else becoming weak.  If Greater Israel comes to fruition, and the US takes over enough of North and South America, then US / Israel can outlast even China.

Iran wins by removing the Israelis from West Asia.  It is as simple as that.  As a side project, US presence in West Asia has to be be reduced to either zero or very close to zero.  Basically, Iran has to outlast the US, who at some point will just leave the area, just as the US did in Afghanistan.  Meanwhile, the US will use all means to cause as much damage as possible to Iran and Russia and other nations.  Doing things like blowing up Iranian nuclear power plants.

Iran and Hezbollah are united in their joint effort to  remove the Israelis from West Asia.  Ansah Allah is also on board.  And so is Hamas when the time comes.  Iran would have control over most of the GCC nations, and Palestine would annex what is now called Israel.    Iran and Palestine want to win the war without destroying TOO much of the whole area.  Rebuilding it will already be quite expensive.

Posted by: GeorgeWendell | Apr 6 2026 2:21 utc | 417

According to available reports –

The pilot of the F-15E was rescued fairly quickly – on the first day.

Aircraft involved –

2 x HH-60 Pave Hawk rescue helicopters.
1 x HC-130 – support and refueling.
1 x A-10 Thunderbolt II – close air support.

Approx distance from Kuwait -> Kolah Ghazi National Park @ 500km (as the crow flies).
Pave Hawk combat radius @ 417km – hence air to air refueling, no need to land.

The aircrew would be using the AN/PRQ-7, Combat Survivor Evader Locator (CSEL) – short bursts of precise encrypted gps co-ordinates, over the horizon – not line of sight – totally secure.

In light of the above –

The rescue operation for the Weapons System Officer initially involved –

2 x MC-130J Commando II multi-mission combat transport/special operations.

1 x HC-130J Combat King II – refueling tanker.

2+? x HH-60W & MH-60 Black Hawk search & rescue.

2 x AH-6/MH-6 Little Bird recon/insertion/extraction.

Additional A-10 Thunderbolt II’s, F-35 Lightning II’s, F-15E Strike Eagle’s, MQ-9 Reaper’s, & a RQ-4 Global Hawk.

All this for a Weapons System Officer who happens to be a Lt. Colonel. This ‘WSO’ was controlling an ongoing covert operation. That F-15E was not on some run of the mill mission, 400km inside Iran, to kill some  school girls, it was there to co-ordinate some special forces operation that was in progress.

There was no way the US was going to let him fall into Iranian hands, even if it meant killing him.

Just my take.

🇮🇷🔥 Abu Azrael, “The Angel of Death,” has arrived in Tehran.
Real name Ayoub Falih Hassan al-Rubaie, born 1978 in Iraq. Former university lecturer, one-time Taekwondo champion, and father of five. He first took up arms with the Mahdi Army against US forces during the 2003 invasion, then became one of the most feared commanders against ISIS in Syria and Iraq as part of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
He’s now in Tehran coordinating with the IRGC on plans for a potential US ground invasion. The man who fought the Americans in Iraq is back, and ready to do it again.
His catchphrase: “Illa tahin” — “Grind you to dust.”

One Dim Party congresscritter from California. Stop the freakin’ presses.

First sentence deflects attack on Trump’s minion, by attacking Trump’s foe. Second sentence belittles the criticism as unworthy of comment with irony. It’s not a plausible interpretation that the point was meant to be “Just one guy unfortunately.” For one thing, that would be perfectly clear. If you’re BSing ambiguity is your friend. But you’re not open about how you don’t oppose Democrats because most of them (especially the so-called leaders) don’t really oppose Trumpery. One thing that doesn’t make sense is that a Lt.Col or O-5 is a WSO of the F15e. Normally, this task doesn’t belong to any O-5. Lt.Col is typically a CO or XO of a squadron or a battalion. It’s very rare and unlikely to have a Lt.Col to be tasked to do sorties into enemy territory with active SAM/SHORAD/AD present.

Just my 2 cents.

“…One thing that doesn’t make sense is that a Lt.Col…”
Only when that particular WSO is designated as the ‘mission commander’ for a complex, high value target, which requires a high degree of co-ordination, which cannot be entrusted to a junior officer.
As I said above – this was a covert operation that turned into a rescue operation.

This WSO not only maintained flying certificate his whole career. Even more impressed that he survived after suffered G force, landed in the wildness, climbed up 7000ft mountain in a day, with a spanked ankle. For someone 40ish that most likely worked in administrative tasks until this operation. That’s an impressive feat of a physical body.

I’m continually amazed by your — no, not capacity, but outright willingess — to embarrass yourself.

First sentence deflects attack on Trump’s minion, by attacking Trump’s foe.

— in your imagination, of course, because

Second sentence belittles the criticism as unworthy of comment with irony.

— that’s exactly the point of the first sentence.  Indeed a Dim criticism of a Rethug is hardly worth comment.  That’s what members of the opposing party do.  It would’ve been worthy of comment if a high-ranking Rethug had made the criticism.  (Tom Q, in one of his more lucid moments today, got this right, but erred in claiming that the criticism was noteworthy because it was unusually harsh; obviously he’d slept through the recent Pam Bondi hearings.)

It’s not a plausible interpretation that the point was meant to be “Just one guy unfortunately.” For one thing, that would be perfectly clear.

It’s delicious how the two above sentences flatly contradict each other — but again, you can neither read, nor write, nor think.

You oppose Democrats because Trump told you too

I’ll forgive the obvious misspelling of the last word simply to point out that you’re, well, making shit up.

Unless you are just enthralled by Hegseth’s pose of manliness?

And when in doubt, there’s always homophobia.  Well played!

If you go to google maps – Kolah Ghazi,National Park – take a look at the photos – it is a very beautiful place, but a harsh environment, very exposed and climbing up to a 7000′ ridgeline would be no easy task.

Looking at a contour map (maptiler.com) of the park, it goes from 1700m at the valley floor up to @2100m. A vertical climb of @ 300m-400m, thats a lot of walking, because you are not going straight up.

I am not sure why it was necessarry to climb to a ridgeline so the beacon could get a signal as reported. The AN/PRQ-7 (Combat Survivor Evader Locator) does not require line of sight, it uses burst transmissions to satelittes for very precise location.

Posted by: Persona Non Grata | Apr 6 2026 3:24 utc | 427

To add to speculation, how many paratroopers could have left the transport carriers long before they “crashed/were blown up etc.  Weren’t there a total of 5 flying about?

So we get hundreds air dropped in? Eject the pilots, shoot down the C130’s for good effect, spin yarns for distraction (like Covid 5G etc), and now, somewhere a team is waiting, assembling, ready.

Well, Bondi was called a liar and told to resign. Isn’t that something? Anyway I’m unaware of any congressional tradition that affords a Secretary of Defense more deference than an Attorney General — in public, that is. Behind the scenes a Secretary of Defense can be very useful in directing the money spigot, so schmoozing him up might be advisable.

Posted by: malenkov | Apr 6 2026 3:54 utc | 435

There’s been so much silliness at this bar since about halfway through Trump’s first year in his first term in office regarding Democrats and Republicans. For the longest time, anyone who had the gall to defend or at least explain something a Democrat did, or the temerity to criticize Trump on legitimate matters (meaning NOT Russiagate) had “TDS” – this was the de-facto position and response of multiple self-styled left-marxists at MoA. Knee-jerk de-facto, I should add.

I have never voted for Trump and I never voted for Obama, Hillary or Kamala but I truly do think that this war would not have happened if Trump wasn’t elected. I said as much several years ago right here in these pages. It’s amazing the types of attacks I’m going to receive for saying that, too. Which is why I’m not even going to qualify it and allow any would-be attackers to set their own traps for themselves.  It will be more fun watching the demonstrations of irrational failure to comprehend the written English language. But I suppose I will qualify it slightly: If this were the eve of the last presidential election and I had $100K in BTC that I had to wager, and a scenario something like “Which of these two is more likely to start a war on Iran?” I wouldn’t even try for a parlay or other means of hedging. I’d have put it ALL on Trump. Period. No second thoughts.

379, Cynic — Maybe this song–
“Johnny I Hardly Knew You”  anti- war song by The Clancey Brothers and Tommy Make, 1961, verses 2, 3, and 4:

‘With your guns and drums and drums and guns, hurroo, hurroo
With your guns and drums and drums and guns, hurroo, hurroo
With your guns and drums and drums and guns,
The enemy nearly slew ye
Oh my darling dear, Ye look so queer,
Johnny I hardly knew ye.

Ye haven’t an arm and ye haven’t a leg, harroo, harroo–
You haven’t an arm and haven’t a leg, harroo, harroo
You haven’t an arm and you haven’t a leg —
Ye’re an armless, boneless, chickenless egg
Ye’ll have to put with a bowl out to beg
Oh Johnny I hardly knew ye

Where are the legs with which you run, hurroo, hurroo
Where are the legs with which you run, hurroo, hurroo
Where are the legs with which you run,
When first you went for to carry a gun
Indeed your dancing days are done
Oh Johnny, I hardly knew ye

I do think that if steven t dropped the occasional Marxist pretense, he could be a Daily Kos staffer — but in this particular instance I think he’s just in the thrall of crude binaries: if you say something negative about a Dim (which I didn’t even do in this instance), one must therefore support the Rethug. Which is nonsense of course, but exactly the kind of thinking one comes to expect from someone whose concept of American politics never advanced beyond the preadolescent civics class.

While your spelling and grammar are sometimes not quite text-book standard, your posts are well thought out, and easily understood; even though, at times, one has to concentrate a little harder while reading… and listen, rather than think.

There is (usually) no need for a follow-up post to correct a typo: maybe best to avoid the risk of introducing a new one 🙂 . And if I can presume a ‘Dad Joke’ without being thought offensive? … President Trump probably is more correctly described as a Rooster than a fowl.

Absolutely correct on the last part. And yes, in the time I’ve been following this stuff, the SecDef gets WAY more deferential “opposing” party treatment. AG or anyone else, not even CLOSE.

See, that’s part of why I posted it. Both parties LOVE war; it’s highly unusual for a SecDef (and not some lower fool on the totem pole) to get talked down to like Kegbreath did.

The only reason I didn’t make much of a big deal about it when I first responded to you is that at the end of the day you’re right. Another oral equivalent of a “sternly worded email” – Meaningless and performative to those who are dying and about to die, military and civilian alike.  If the Dems had the majority in both houses I’m still not convinced that the situation would be any different than it is right now. But it’s still fun to hear truth spoken to normally-deferred-to power. Ahem…even IF performative.

@malenkov:
enthralled (adjective)

  1. held in slavery.
  2. filled with wonder and delight.

I’ve never once read any sexual or romantic meaning into the word unless it is explicitly stated or (clearly) contextually implied. I took it as simply held in thrall to the tough-guy-ness facade that the drunk-ass TV personality carries himself with (in the face of worthless Dim interlocutor(s)).

No big deal either way. The dude’s a complete dumbfuck and while it isn’t rocket science pretending to manage the DOD/DOW, it is morally repugnant the way this clown has been handling it. Good night.

Does seem a common attitude of Zionists, even Jewish civilian interviews including in NY are expressing the same desire for extermination. These people either share a group psychotic madness or perhaps their religious activities have disconnected them from their higher selves giving them to completely descend into material bestiality. Regardless the current madness seems like it won’t stop until Zionists are completely disenfranchised from power and money, their tools of control.

Communism in theory should have been a better system, but we saw how it also required a police state to control it, the Chinese seem to have moved into a better version, time will tell. The capitalist system exploits human greed, offering the fallacy that anyone can become a millionaire or country leader. Unchecked lust for wealth also unleashes all the materialistic negatives in doing anything and hurting anyone to achieve it. Capitalism doesn’t operate on the greater good for all, purely on personal gain, long term it has no future as eventually all the wealth gets accumulated into the hands of the most exploitative, the point we are almost at, and they will not give that up easily.

Wrong thread for it, but the USSR wasn’t communist and neither is China. Nor did/does either call themselves such as states. The word “communist” in the CPC’s name is simply the party, not the entirety of the state/economy. But again, wrong thread so my apologies for latching on.

That said, one of the things you said is relevant.  It is a (mostly unstated) goal of the Globo-Cap empire to make its quarry and victims into “police states.” Police states are often needed to prevent countries and economies from falling into the clutches of the western Vampire Squid usurers who demand full fealty and unlimited access to resources, markets (read: privatized formerly state provided utilities and services) and governments. Endless economic sanctions, color revolutions, regime change attempts, insidious & persistent propaganda injections, etc. have two aims. One is to actually topple non-compliant “regimes”, the other is to force that “regime” to implement measures which can be packaged and sold to western audiences as propaganda demonstrating that “the bad guys” operate “police states.” Iran is no different.

Ever since the day Trump presidency began. The Iran War is a whole Monty Python script or King Arthur or whatever absurd fiction.

The Evangelical Knights of the Round Table, Hegseth and the Anti-Christ Trump went on a Crusade to find the Holy Grail Iranian Nuclear Weapon inorder to resurrect Jesus Christ. They might even use their Excalibur Nuclear Armageddon to achieve that. The whole Crusade started by Morgan Le Fay Israel Epstein manipulated everyone into a final battle with Mordred Iran.

Mordred was seeing the unfolding events by the first group as their prophecy foretold that their Prophet Mahdi will return together with Jesus. Their version of the AntiChrist aka Al masih al dajjal is Trump the Final Dajjal. This is their Judgment Day too. Now, this Knight is too sucked into a Final Battle to reach Avalon  Heaven/Jannah.

The US petrodollar was set up by the wheelchair bound Cripple Franklin Roosevelt now come crashing down because of this Crusader tard Donald Jihadi Drumpf and the Holy Knight Hegseth can’t do the simple thing of providing security to the Gulf States and the Gulf will exchange Dollar for Oil. All they had to do is Nothing or maybe JPOCA 2.0? but No.

Now, we have to witness a historical moment of their prophecy of the End Time coming.

Take the uraniums!

Of course, the Iraniums had hid the uraniums too well, leaving only bags of pistachios wrapped in lead foil, so Delta Force was led a merry dance til someone decided to call time on the shit show, they tried to hightail it out of there but got their asses stuck on the fence.

At which point they called for help from their Jewish besties over in Tel Aviv who decided to engage the Masada Protocol, seeing as the only loss would be a bunch of goyim.

It is the power vacuum after a communist revolution that leads to disaster IMO. That, and the need to replace the former system with new governance fairly quickly that makes it sometimes an unworkable scramble for power. Then there is the problem of incentive to work since government control of what people do for a living deprives them of financial incentive which is why China brought back a form of controlled capitalism.

Marxism has many good features like more equally sharing the wealth and treating people as humans rather than numbers, but the mode of governance was not properly thought through.

So there is an element of luck in the outcome.

It’s turned out to be good in China because the CPC still shows interest in the ordinary people they represent and is also willing to clobber its billionaire class on the head if they fall out of line and become too Westernised.

There are communist businesses (or communes) that exist within the West that have followed along the lines of Marx that have been going for many years and have been successful.

Sorry. Absolute nonsense. Trump is being USED by the most calculating string-pullers any American administration has been infiltrated by in a long time. Trump is also fully into the Israel-First inverted totalitarian “philosophy” – he’s the absolute peak puppet of the Zionists and Empire warmongers. And he doesn’t GAF about PR or is totally abstracted from it. Unlike those morons-by-comparison Bush/Cheney. All they had to do was pull the fucking trigger. Why murder 2,000+ New Yorkers and fake an anthrax attack? It was never necessary. At least now we won’t have to spend the next 20 years poring over newscasts, filing lawsuits and awaiting or FOIA’ing classified document releases.

None of the Western pundits opining in the Oz MSM are predicting a Trump victory in Iran. According to the pundits, Iran’s rapid closure of Hormuz is much cleverer than Trump’s knee-jerk wishful thinking.

And to add insult to injury abc.net.au/NewsRadio is reporting that China has published a www list of the Geolocation Co-ordinates of dozens of juicy US Military Targets in the Middle East. Therefore China can’t be accused of abandoning Iran to Trump’s reckless stupidity.

The Chinese aren’t going to intervene Militarily in any conflict outside China. They’ve spent the past 40 years transforming China into a virtual Utopia – and they’ve still got a few boxes to tick before the task is complete. Imo.

Trump is without agency. He is too dumb geopolitcally. But he is ingenious when it comes to misdirection and distraction. That is why he was chosen, groomed, enthroned.

So he is calculating in his role. But definitely without agency or agenda.

Maybe he is on drugs, maybe not. But my money is his posts are all vetted so there is little to no impulsivity or derangement present there. They engender a response and it rallies his base. That was/is his job.

The gold standard was removed in the 1930s by FDR for most practical purposes. The Bretton Woods system was nominally backed by gold for government-to-government transactions but dominated by the US dollar. Nixon removed the US from Bretton Woods in 1971. The term petrodollar was coined then, but the dollar had long been the dominant currency in the world prior to that.

454 Organic. China under Mao after the communists took power achieved an annual growth 1953-57 of 11% (“The Great Transformation”, China’s Road From Revolution to Reform”). Life was transformed for the better hugely under Maoism, but the capitalists and their supporters were always exerting oppositional power. And in a capitalist world, in which China opposed the Soviet Union under Khrushev, China eventually had to engage with the US to grow its economy. After Mao died, the pro-capitalist forces gained control until Deng Xiaopeng and were able to reverse the communist policies of the Maoist era. It was a historic power struggle. There were specific forces at work. Like the Soviet Union and a few other countries one must study the specifics, rather than generalize that ‘communism doesn’t work,’ which is a received notion of capitalist ideology.

I did not purposely leave that out, and you are welcome to add it.  This is an example of why it is a benefit of having more than one mind focused on anything, or any problem that has to be solved. You are also more focused/experienced on the economic side than I am which you see are more relevant. I am more interested in deeper philosophical and political systems behind what we see.

For me if we need to change a governance system then alternatives have to be found and I have long thought the Chinese system holds merit, as well as many other kinds of governance models even within democracy. Same for some business models that attempt to more equally share the wealth.

The good old saying “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” is apt here.  Western capitalism and democratic governance are showing many signs of being broken and so something clearly needs to be done for them to be fixed. Thinking of ways to modify what we have and come up with alternatives that may work better are thus our only chance for something better.

I think the reason this appears to be rising in the US first is because it has been so unwilling to even entertain that benefits of what other systems like in China have demonstrated. Instead such countries and their people have been branded as “Commies” and then prejudice replaces sensible study of other systems that can have merit. Democracy and advanced capitalism have shown themselves to be a toxic mix that has sidestepped its focus on the demos (or people) and instead become purely a corrupt system for elites.

The only God Trump worship is the one he sees in the mirror. Perhaps Trump is a Polytheist because he also worships Mammon Money.

Maybe Trump really did convert into Islam this morning and he can start calling him a Radical Muslim, Donald Jihadi Trump al Newyorki bin Al Americanki. The war on Iran can now be classified as Sectarian violence between Sunni and Shia xD

Re: Federal Insolvency Crisis ?
It can be argued that the Feds have faced 3 or 4 insolvency events in the last 100 years:
1934
1971
1985
1994

The reason OPEC used the dollar for trading was because it was the dominant currency in the world at the time. That dominance was started after the gold standard was discontinued by FDR, among other reasons. The Bretton Woods system was dominated by the dollar, most other currencies under it fixed to the dollar. The dollar had some limited convertibility to gold under Bretton Woods, which Nixon did eliminate. However, most commodity prices were already set to the dollar before then.

I would have thought the abuse would be across a broader range of drugs.

That MSM story is just the tip of the iceberg.  The salient detail is that the White House pharmacy is run by a military guy and the military is not restricted to on-brand medications.  They have their own chemists.

I think most of us here know that the current White House is f!cked as well as the previous Biden one, and many others before that as well. Drugs are surely to be suspected as a legal and possibly illegal part of it, as well as rampant greed, a culture of gratuitous lying, and a whole host of suspected corrupt behaviours that are clearly able to be alleged.

So if there is this problem that so many notice, what can be done about it, and what are the alternatives? It may be better to think of the solutions for that than keep pointing out what we already know in excess.

I agree, the obvious chronic narcissist now demonstrates a form of God complex with many avatars, one being Mammon.

Much as I hate to make such a depressing and dangerous comment, I do not think the world will be safe until the USA is bombed, invaded and broken up.

Someone sane needs to take control of their nukes and their excessivly large armed forces need to be brought back to the level of a regional power.

I see 10 disrict egions in the USA plus 4 states that sort of stand alone. obviously Hawaii and Alaska are two such but i add Florida and utah also.

Other wise I see the USA as breaking down into:

  1. New England – 6 states with a population of about 17 million. Optional additions might be upstate NY and Pennsylvania. Secession movement does exist albeit weak
  2. York essentially NY city and Jew jersey pop 29 million
  3. Rust belt or more politely the Lakes district 6-7 states with Pennsylvania  probably at least  optional. Big country with about 51 mill or more
  4. Once were rulers.  Comprises DC, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia.  This nation is not a good fit with its neighbours because let us be ruthlessly honest it is very black. Still has 26 million people but I guess without a central US government this might shrink.
  5. Cascades. Three states including Idaho. probably one of the most thought through exit movements
  6. California and company. 4-5 states depending on Colorado. There is already a movement. In 30 years whatever happens these states will be majority Latino and probably essentially Spanish speaking. it would, still be a huge nation of almost 60 million
  7. Texas another obvious and very large exit. Add probably Arkinsas and Oklahoma
  8. Deep South There are 5 states i see as being in the deep south and not especially compatible with the others. These are N and S Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. Potentially they could be linked to the former DC and surrounding states.
  9. The remaining states belong in what is known as Flyover territory. They could form one large nation or two smaller ones. The main problem for this “nation” would be lack of access to the ocean. This is qite serious so they may opt to join another nation.

Only when something of this nature happens will the world be safe. Even then which of them can be trusted to take control of nukes.

  1. Cascades

@ GeorgeWendell | Apr 6 2026 6:09 utc | 491 with the follow on…thx

I ofter complain here about the terms of capitalism, socialism, and communism, none of which exist in reality.
What exists in economic history are mixed economies where governments provide some services and the rest is private…..and the important part is that mix in the US and other countries has changed over time……the US Postal System is a prime example as it was created by the Second Continental Congress in 1775, with Benjamin Franklin appointed as the first Postmaster General.  There are efforts currently to make it entirely private.
Another example was the telephone system that was a government regulated monopoly for 50 years from 1934 to 1984

In many nations government’s health care is a government service unlike the US private health care system.

The China government, with its sovereign system of finance also has core communication, transportation and other services being all or mostly government provided.

If we get a chance to remake governments by and for the people, the mixed economy architecture would like change drastically…the canard that private profit services like water, sewer, energy systems are better privately owned and operated is a myth.

Back to Iran, eh?

Information hygiene is very dirty.

Maron Sagron downed pilot claimed to be captured by Iran.

Iran tells US and Israel to disprove them or inform the world of her fate.
