Actually believing his own team’s “Iwo Jima” propaganda stunt was  real — which includes a truly amazing but seemingly unquestioned (alleged) ear regeneration — does indicate that Trump is entirely off his head and thus unfit for office.
 
On the other hand, Trump aware that the stunt was a thoroughly sick false-flag, but continuing to fool the public with it anyway, is indicative of him being an extreme con-man devoid of all decency who should not be allowed to hold any office at all.

Do you believe any locals would have AD systems or automatic machine guns? Truth or dare?
 

Unconfirmed reports by Nour News (close to Iran’s SNSC) says the reason why an account affiliated with Iran’s IRGC posted the F-15 ejected seat was to lure in US forces. It says IRGC ground forces commandos have already found both the pilots, which also explains why US search&rescue operation has a difficult time finding the pilot(s).
 
Nour News says it cannot independently verify this report.
 
Other (very) unconfirmed reports have also stated the one or both pilots have been captured by the IRGC.
 
According to Iran’s State TV, the pilots statuses are unknown.

Ok, I’m writing this in response to james ,who solicitd thought son the following article Strait Theatre by the substacker Morgan, which proposes the theory that the Ramadan War is theatre and that “They called it a war. It was a business deal and they were all in on it. ​​”
It looks plausible on first reading and only if you indulge the practice of looking at events through the wrong end of a telescope. Stepping back and using ones own eyes and brain, it becomes risible and in contravention of well known facts and known market behaviours.
LNG investments
It talks about recent investments in LNG plant and supply expansion. Such plans take years to bring to market and have been driven since the Ukraine-Russia conflict when a combination of sanctions, pipelines mysteriously blowing up and the (stupidly) stated intent of the EU to wean themselves off the hated Russian (gas and oil). Now that a few substitute suppliers in the Gulf have suffered problems she notices that US based suppliers have benefitted from a stock price boost, and that there are many plans in train in the Gulf and the US to fill growing demand, as though this is part of some sinister plan. Sadly, this is just normal market behaviour, when suppliers go away, other suppliers come in to meet demand. They do it pronto before high prices prompt demand destruction or substitution.
Normal, not a conspiracy. Just capitalism doing its thing.
Landing strips
The author makes no distinction between civilian airports and military airbases – regarding them it seems as simply widgets where zoomy things take off and land. Citing the example of Jeddah airports recent upgrade with shiny new terminal as a convenient, just ready in time replacement for Saudi arabia’s “main airport”. Presumaly referring to Riyadh’s civilian airport, which is undamaged and conflating it with nearby Prince Sultan airbase used by the US to attack Iran which has been damaged – just as the Iranians threatened to do before war broke out.
Jeddah is separated from Riyadh by 950km of mostly desert, so isn’t even a drop-in replacement for either airstrip – that would be the most hellish of shuttle bus rides.
Likewise, other civilian airports, new and old, across the Gulf have for the most part been untouched but airbases hosting US forces have been mercilessly attacked.
Israel
The author makes much of the Haifa refinery which had been slated for closure to be redeveloped as some sick luxury waterfront Epstein-class pleasure zone and tries to spin the idea that Iran attack it simply to help speed up the demolition and smooth the process of getting planning permission. This is outright nonsense – a country at war wants its refining capacity up and running now, not at some unspecified point in the future.
In general, old infrastructure isn’t taken off-line before its replacement is built and brought online.
I’m not going to debunk the rest as there is too much filler and padding, but the idea that all participants in the war are complicit and are simply indulging in accelerated infrastructure demolition and redevelopment presumably on behalf of a coven of shady Epstein-class wannabees is idiotic. Observable facts – the slaughter of school girls, assassination of leaders, the vast amounts of “collateral” damage on all sides, the destruction of universities, hospitals and historical monuments are not just scene setting in some elaborate theatre, they are real evidence of a genuine vicious regional conflict.

What the Americans peddled to the GCC states and Iraqi government (as confessed by that Iraqi MP) was the story that Iran would fall within 3 days, after they killed Khamenei, there’d be a regime change, various rebels and pro-westerners would take over – basically it’d be a cakewalk like Venezuela. That’s how they got the Gulf in on it. 
 
Simply put, it was a failure of deterrence by Iran. Iran was too soft and was seen as weak by its enemies. To succeed in deterrence, getting nukes would be one method. Shutting up reformists who kept messaging they want to surrender would be another.
 
The scenarios you pointed out – arms race, Gulf states going nuclear, begging for a nuclear shield etc doesn’t matter. Because they are all peaceful scenarios where they are fearful of Iran and conflict doesn’t actually happen. Nuclear first strike against a nuclear armed Iran would be less, not more likely than the present.
 
As for asymmetrical attacks? Same idea. Failure of deterrence. So far the US is using hybrid warfare but most countries are simply ignoring it, that’s why the US is not deterred. However if some crazy country with nukes had credibly threatened to nuke the US if they meddled in that country’s elections then you can bet the US wouldn’t be doing that either.

They are learning from their “lesser brothers.” It’s enough to recall the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attacks on the Kursk, Smolensk, and Novovoronezh NPPs. The Zaporizhzhia NPP is particularly frequently targeted. E. Yashina, Communications Director at Zaporizhzhia NPP, stated: “Any deliberate attack on them, be it a drone attack, artillery shelling, or other military action, carries enormous risks. The consequences of an accident could be catastrophic and long-lasting for the environment, the health of the population of entire regions, and global security.”
 
For those who like to target nuclear power plants, catastrophic consequences are a desirable goal, not a dire threat…

I read what you wrote, but you presented his point, through Simpleton, as somehow validating your own argument. Considering how much Kagan has been utterly wrong throughout his career it isn’t really a strong point for you. You, and Simpleton, I mean Simplicius, miss his larger point, that the US must attack Iran now, before it’s too late, in his view. But I submit,  his view, as most of his arguments, is wrong. Hence, my disbelief at your quoting him. Does that make sense? Do I have to clear it up for you more?
