War On Iran: – U.S. Losses – Strait Opening – Oil Price Dilemma – Expanding The War

The losses the U.S. military currently incurs in its war on Iran continue to accumulate.

ABC News confirms that Iran has managed to destroy at least 10 radar installation in the Middle East. Most of these were U.S. owned while the rest were supplied to U.S. allies. The loss of early warning radar lets more Iranian missile slip through the U.S. missile defense curtain. It will cause more losses in other installations especially in Israel.

The U.S. Central Command confirmed yesterday that Iranian air defenses managed to hit at least one of its F-35 ‘stealth’ fighter jets. Reportedly the pilot was injured and the plane made a ‘hard landing’ – which likely means that the pilot ejected before the jet crashed down.

This should finally destroy the Lockheed marketing nonsense claim of ‘invisibility’ of its war planes. It also destroys the myth that Iran has lost control over its airspace and that the U.S. has achieve air superiority. In consequence the U.S. will have to continue to use expensive, and exceedingly rare, stand-off weapons to hit targets within Iran instead of doing much cheaper gravity bombing.

The U.S. aircraft carrier Ford had to leave the Middle East for repairs after a ‘laundry fire’ destroyed some 600 berth on board. The Ford carrier was already notorious for its constantly clogged toilets. I strongly suspect that it will have to go back to the U.S. for a long period of overhaul.

The second carrier in the region has been withdrawn to the southern Arab Sea for fear of being attacked by Iranian forces. The long distance from Iran will necessitates the time consuming aerial fueling of its plane when they are launched for sorties against that country.

At least three F-15 fighter jets have been destroyed by alleged ‘friendly fire’ near Kuwait.

Of the 100 MQ-9 Reaper drones the U.S. military had acquired some 10 have been lost in recent reconnaissance missions over Iran.

Some five U.S. KC-135 refueling aircraft were hit during an Iranian strike on Saudi Arabia. An additional one was lost and another damaged during an in-air collision.

All the above isn’t ‘much’ when one considers the total size of U.S. forces but we are only in day 21 of this war and the losses will continue to accumulate.

An Amphibious Readiness Group of three ships with some 2,200 marines on board has been ordered from Japan to the Middle East. It will take at least a week before it will reach its destination. Another ARG is expected to soon leave San Diego to make its way to the Middle East. It will take three weeks before it can be there.

Each ARG, (also known as Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU)) has an 800 men strong ground force on board that can be used for storming a beach, taking a landing strip or some other small scale command missions. The rest of the soldiers on board are supply and support forces. An MEU can support itself for only a week or so before it needs to be relieved by regular forces. Those regular forces are still missing. This makes it likely that the ARGs will do little.

There are speculations in the media that the U.S. will use the ARGs to invade and occupy Kharg island in the northern Persian Gulf region from where Iranian oil is put on ships for export. But to even reach Kharg the ARGs would have to pass through the Strait of Hormuz in what would be a very high risk endeavor. Then comes taking Kharg which in itself is a suicide mission.

There are a handful of Iranian islands within the Strait of Hormuz which are better candidates for a Marine landing. But all of these are, like Kharg, within the reach of Iranian artillery, missiles and drones. To occupy them will require sustained campaigns and the will to suffer extensive losses.

There is also a lot of noise about a U.S. mission to reopen the Strait for Hormuz by providing Navy protection for civilian shipping. But the forces to do that are simply not there (yet). It would need a dozen destroyers plus mine sweepers plus aerial support to allow for such convoy protection missions. At least two of the three U.S. minesweepers which should be in the Middle East are currently in Malaysia. Most of twenty or so available destroyers are currently on carrier protection missions. It will need many weeks, if not months, before the necessary forces can be assembled and put into place.

The Trump administration is in a race of time. Its original plan was to finish the Iran campaign before it would start to move oil prices. But Iran did not submit to U.S. wishes. The chance for Trump to now do a TACO and to chicken out of the crisis is nearly negligible. It takes two sides to stop a war and Iran is not willing to make any concessions.

Yet the administration still has not recognized that it has managed to wedge itself into a long war. Its attempts to lower oil prices is demonstrating that it is still trying to fight windmills.

Under normal circumstances the world consumes about 100 million barrels of crude oil per day. Due to the blockade of the Strait some 15 million of that is currently missing. The first reaction of the markets to such a supply shock is to draw down existing stocks and reserves.

The U.S. has lifted sanctions on Russian oil stored at sea and considers to do the same for some 140 million barrels of floating Iranian reserves. But with 15 million barrels missing per day such one time releases will only supply enough relief for another week or so. The release of a few 100 million barrels from international Strategic Petroleum Reserves will also have little effect. Decisive here is the flow rate, i.e. how much of it can be pumped out and released per day. The flow rate from U.S. salt cavern reserve storages is some 1.2 million barrels per day. The total global reserve flow rate is some 2 million barrels per day. With 15 million barrels per day missing any reserve release will have only minor effects.

The future market oil prices are still hovering around $100 bbl. The real product market price already exceeds $150 bbl. Saudi Arabia is forecasting $180 bbl for early April. The price will have reached $200 bbl by the mid of next month.

Natural gas and LPG prices will see an even steeper rise as 20% of the total capacity is now missing. There are also a number of co-products that come with oil and gas exploration. Nearly half of the global Helium supply, needed for chip production, is missing. Sulfur has become rare. Urea and other fertilizers are now way more expensive. Supplies for specialties like jet-fuels and Nafta, needed for chemical production, are vanishing.

Demand destruction follows supply destruction. If there is less jet-fuel available air-travel will become more expensive and people will book less flights. That may not hurt many. But if there are less fertilizers available to produce food people will start to go hungry. Hunger creates social clashes and revolts.

People may already complain about the prices at the gas pump but we are still far from experiencing the real problems this war will create.

The Trump administration would like to have compliant but still resourceful Iran. Israel, and its U.S. based lobby, is aiming much further. It wants to destroy Iran and, if possible, the whole Gulf region. That is why we are seeing attempts to incite the Arab Gulf states (and Turkey) into directly  joining the war on Iran.

I expect these attempts to intensify until at least some of the Gulf state will take the suicidal step to fight Iran with their own means. That may then become the moment where the U.S. retreats from active participation in the conflict to limit itself to deliver expensive weapon supplies. This is what the Trump administration has done in Ukraine and there are good reasons for it to repeat that scheme in other regions.

One ship requested permission to dock for taking water which was refused. The ship is facing the classic seaman’s nightmare “water water every where but not a drop to drink”.

That’s BS,  if the ship doesn’t have an RO system they can distill drinking water easy enough.

4. This is a wild assed idea, but sometimes you never know – these two missiles were launched to test U.S. defensive abilities against ICBMs. Yes, I know the two Iranian missiles weren’t ICBMs, but they were close enough. Here’s another crazy thought. The missile that malfunctioned in flight didn’t. It was hit by a satellite based anti-missile weapon, giving the Russians and Chinese data on orbital U.S. weapons. This is a crazy idea, but my mind runs away from me and I have to pull it back in line.

Let’s Get Creative. 5. This was a US/Israeli false flag against their own base. China shot it down because they know a strike on Diego Garcia will lead immediately to nuclear war. The Chinese have highly effective orbital anti-missile defense, wildly out of reach of anything the US will come up with in the next 100 years.

Well, after watching the Berletic/Diesen chat and his cautioning about reading too much into the Joe Kent event, I’ll return to being skeptical about him. I suggest all barflies and lurkers take the time to watch that chat. He frames the war as Corporatism against Multipolarism, a framing I generally agree with. As the Corporatist center, this is also a war for the continuation of Outlaw US Empire primacy/dominance. There’s more to say about this, but I need the time to write it up.

The devil on my shoulder keeps whispering in one ear that the USA intentionally intends to destroy global oil markets, the Empire of Chaos goes global in one uber-chaos event, a scorched earth to hide the USA bankruptcy, not the bankruptcy of the state, but of its private sector, the end of the financialized petrodollar ponzi, too big to fail and bail.  You end the exhausted petrodollar and the debts that can’t be repaid by collapsing the global petro-market.
But, the devil on my shoulder is full of it, the only countries that would benefit from such a collapse would be technologically advanced autarkies Russia and China, or they would come out of the rubble more ahead than the USA and Europe, a collapsing Europe is a suicide pact with the USA in no way an advantage, if there’s a renaissance it’s 50ys off and the autarkies have a huge head start, China has historical momentum, and you can’t stop the planet moving through space-time.
I need to put the too clever to not be true conspiracy theories in the circular file. Just like the repression, oppression and violence the USA has perpetrated abroad all these decades that has come home to roost, the chaos it has sown has come home to roost and now permeates everything. Crapification of everything, not just the economy and culture, but the political and military capability – everything  through and through. All sane thinking crapified, “long-term American renaissance” of any sort, my ass. Doomberg is playing online video games with Bessent and Hegseth, fun until the power goes out.

I think that the Epstein Class might have an idea of this as being some sort of a backup plan.  But America is too used to crapification.  This cannot be undone even in a generation.  Even if we have the oil and refineries and tons of energy, or at least enough energy for our own needs, there are some other factors.

Russia has enough energy for its needs already.  China has most of what it needs.  Russia and China have internal supply chains developed for most of what they produce and need.  It will take a generation or more for the US to catch up to where these nations already are.  We will be slowed down due to so much false information that Americans totally 100% believe.  Americans hate each other.  Getting past THAT will take a long time.

The main goal of Russia and China will not be in keeping ahead of the US.  It will be in trying to make sure that Americans do not destroy the world out of exasperation at how bad things get in the US.  That massive Epstein Class wealth can disappear quite rapidly.

…just a few hours ago Prof Jiang updated on his Predictive History channel (not any of the derivative/ripoff/AI versions) on Iran saying Iran would go nuclear and the US would be left to add the Kurds on the list after the Balochis.

Do you have a link confirming this?

I find no evidence of it.   Seems like propaganda spread by the entity.

Jiang’s most recent post is his lecture on March 18, 2026:  Game Theory #14: The Law of Proximity.

There he mentions if Saudi Arabia declares war on Iran, and because SA has a mutual defense pact with Pakistan which is a nuclear weapons state, then it is possible nuclear weapons are used.

Immediately after saying this Jiang reaffirms his previous assessment that tactical nukes will not be used:

“I again I strongly believe tactical nuclear weapons will not be used. But once Pakistan is in the war, nuclear warheads are now at play.” (~5:30)

If you ask me … Kent is probably controlled opposition. He went from committed imperialist to rapid switchback anti-war activist and yes there are cases where people get genuine pangs of guilt and reassess their lives … but in most cases when you see someone holding totally inconsistent positions (and being quite unapologetic about it) that usually is a red flag not to trust the guy.

If his argument is, “Solemeini we got away with, Maduro we got away with, but Iran is too big to chew.” … OK that’s a reasonable imperialist argument from a pragmatic standpoint and I can respect that. But wait, only now he explains that ISIS was a proxy and all through the Obama and 1st Trump terms we all knew that but Kent said nothing? Why now? It’s pretty much public knowledge anyway amongst people who paid attention … and the people who don’t believe it don’t want to believe it … and anyway the time to do something about it was long ago. Sounds a lot like he is telling people what they want to hear in order to build up a bit of anti-war cred.

I guess no one gets as high up as Kent did, unless they do a bit of bum licking, so you can be sure he knows how to seem like he’s a great fit for any job.

I don’t disagree with that as a welcome addition, and empathy can even be taught as it is in many cultural and spiritual philosophies, but having worked with groups of people that have undergone life-threatening illnesses like cancer, it is amazing to observe how understanding and empathy increases for others if someone has passed through similar hardship. So I would say both are necessary and not mutually exclusive.  Thanks for you comment.

Alon Mizrahi, an Arab Jew with a deep understanding of Israel, has published an insightful video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rohZaDjtDsM
He identifies the various parties involved in this conflict and then shows how Iran is thwarting each one of these entities. The end he predicts is that no one will stand with Israel when faced with the loss of oil. Israel will be on their own and in some of his previous videos he explains that should Iran be able to reduce the IDF to an ineffective state, the many people that Israel have offended will likely do something in return. Iran does not have to do all that much directly against Israel. Just change the situation enough that opposing the Zionists is a fair fight.
Iran seems to have chased all naval ships away with some rumors that the USS Carney was sunk and possibly both carriers hit.
Seems to me that Iran will gradually solve the air defense problem. Radar directed air defense has a weakness in that when your actually use it, you will often get taken out immediately because the emitted signal shows everyone exactly where the equipment is located. But what if China parked a radar ship on the coast and there was a fiber link to shore. Hard to prove that China is passing data. It would be quite something for the US and Israel to attack a Chinese naval vessel when they can not prove anything. That would seem to be valid pretext for changing the situation with Taiwan. Who knows?
The ballistic missiles, with the 80 or so sub-munitions, look like they would really mess up planes parked at an airbase. The air refueling tankers seem to have been hit especially hard. It that what happened? I wish the Chinese would publicly release satellite imagery of Israel’s cities and bases on perhaps a daily basis. Wouldn’t it be nice to see whatever it is that Israel is trying so desperately to hide?
Since Iran seems to have been successful in degrading the various US military bases in the Gulf states, it is hard to see how these can be recovered and reconstructed. This would require the elimination of the very weapons that put the bases out of commission in the first place. Iran seems to have planned for a long war and has prudently prepared huge numbers of offensive weapons.
Barring some miracle like the sudden reveal of alien magic technology, it seems that Iran has a significant strategic advantage and could control the Gulf area for something like forever.

The above linked video by Dr. Josh C. Simmons somewhat convincing asserts that Chinese professor, Jiang, publishes with the approval/direction of the Chinese government. Simmons argues that we are being influenced against our will with negative, anti-US propaganda. However, the stuff he says is mostly about history and the like. Pretty standard stuff that most of us have heard before. Jiang does particularly say some bad things about Zionists. So much so that a commenter in the section below Simmons’ video raged that he was spreading “blood libel” about Jews. But to me, the interesting thing about Jiang was not the things he was saying but rather that it was a person in China saying it. And now with Simmons’ suggestions that Jiang is working at the behest of the Chinese government, is the message that the Chinese government is quietly hostile to the Zionist state of Israel and its malign influence on the world? If true, that is quite an idea.
Come on China. I want to see some satellite photos. Please and thank you.

Iran China Russia only have one common goal right now that’s Multipolar world basically they are all agreed that Pax America is too dangerous for those guys. It’s not a true alliance and everyone moves according to their own planning.

China will act in its interest and not invading Taiwan until it achieves 2050 goals of becoming a superpower regardless of what distraction the US is facing

Russia interest is in Iranian bufferzone and weakeaning of NATO and Ukrainian buffer zone from NATO. Russia would love to keep Iran alive at all cost and the American distracted as long as possible in Middle East

Iran will achieve its goal with or without anyone help. Iran wants USA out of west asia amd Israel destruction. Iranian hegemony.

However,  I see Russia, China & Iran actually more in sync at the moment.
Neither Russia nor China are doing anything for “US/USReal” per se,  other than lip service about different idea to end war.

Frankly,  I think Russia & China are pretty finished with cleaning up both US and Israel’s messes.
Russia bailed them out last June working all that crap out for US to “save face” and get out.
They’re not gonna do it again.  Both Russia & China will serve their own interests first.  As will Iran.

And there are countervailing forces why gasoline at the US retail level will continue to rise. Whenever there’s a jump in crude oil supply—due to SPR release or other causes—US oil companies simply reduce their output accordingly and/or US drilling companies take a number of their drilling rigs temporarily offline. The result is not a net increase in supply of gasoline, even if there’s an excess of crude oil supply from the SPR.Moreover, US oil companies control the retail price of gasoline at the pump by manipulating refinery output—not by changes in crude supply. They have purposely not built a new refinery in the US in 50 years! As a result, they can turn off the supply spigot at the pump whenever they want by simply reducing refinery output regardless of crude supply changes. That typically occurs after announcing refinery shutdowns for maintenance, repairs, fires or other such excuses. So forget the politicians’ and media talk about the global price of crude. Oil companies control gasoline prices by controlling the bottleneck of oil refinery operations.

Jack Rasmus is evidently completely ignorant.  I don’t give advice on brain surgery, so why is this guy talking about the oil industry, which he knows nothing about.  Oil companies are going to cut production when oil is $100 bbl?  A statement like that would make people with a normal IQ stop and think.  Refineries set the price of gasoline?  No, pipeline companies and terminals do that.  When there is too much gasoline, the terminal tanks fill up and the pipeline companies tell the refiners they have to cut back.  And he says “Oil companies”.  So Continental Petroleum, a huge shale player, which has ZERO refineries is bottlenecking gasoline production with their zero refineries?  What about refining companies with zero oil production?  And refineries aren’t being built because of whack-job green psychos blocking construction.  In fact, two more refineries will shut down this year in California because of their insane regulations.
Like I said I will never give advice on brain surgery, so it always amazes me when obvious posers start posting their beautiful dreams of how the oil industry works.
As far as oil prices, remember the WTI futures contract is the real price.  If you are long on the delivery day, you have to stand for delivery.  And if you are short, you have to provide barrels.  The price is heading higher, however the SPR has it moderated.  I suspect the Trump Admin is selling futures to keep the price low, and then on delivery day, they’ll just provide barrels from the SPR.  This is why you are seeing the huge spread between Brent and WTI.  It appears they are keeping WTI below $100.  Whenever it gets near there, they show up and sell a bunch of WTI futures to bring it back down.  Now gasoline is a different matter.  California, which is shutting down refineries imports a lot of product from Singapore.  Well the Japanese and South Koreans are in the market for those barrels.  I suspect Gulf Coast product will be sent via Panamax tankers to California now.  So prices of gasoline and diesel will go higher because import barrels for California are disappearing from the market.

@GeorgeWendell@436:  the debate between innate and conditioned is ongoing.  A child seems to have an innate empathy for others — but is this really taught by parents and environment?  The dawning of late life empathy in an individual who’s been utterly ruthless when healthy/wealthy/respected is problematic (meaning I have no answer).  Ponder this: your position is itself empathic — which is needed in a time when nihilism and cynicism dominate.  It says much about you as an autonomous being or your “upbringing”.  Either way, or a combination thereof, it’s encouraging to read.

Jiang is a psyop.

6 months ago, he was completely ignorant of Islam, and now he has watched some Imran Hosein videos and positioned himself as an expert.

People are still going to hang on his every word, like they once did Jordan Peterson. These “thought leaders” follow an archetype, right down to the videos of teaching university classes, ostensibly to establish credibility and authority.

He wrote an article for CNN in 2017 claiming he was arrested in China for suspicion of spying. The piece he wrote was Gordon Chang-tier Western propaganda.

Iran fired ballistic missiles almost 4,000km away towards Diego Garcia.

The UK announced today that they would allow US forces to use Diego Garcia for Hormuz operations. This will serve as a message that strategic bombers won’t necessarily be safe on DG.

Australia, South Korea, and Japan are where the oil shortage will have the biggest impact.  Europe also, depending on how much of the Saudi East-West crude is ending up there.  1 MM of Iraqi crude is going to Europe via their north pipeline via Turkey.  Not enough.  I think Japan still gets barrels from Russia’s ESPO terminal, but don’t know.
Next week is decision week.  Markets are going to crack.  Trump has to come out with his plan this weekend, and we all know he’s Netty’s bitch, and doesn’t have a plan.  I suspect the infantry traveling to the Mid East will end up at Lebanon and Iraq.

Below is another ZH posting title that talks to the media control strategy of the God Of Mammon cult looking to be enacted

‘TRUMP AMERICA AI Act’ Repeals Section 230, Expands Liability, & Establishes Centralized Federal Control Over AI Systems

By removing Section 230 and expanding liability across platforms, the bill shifts risk away from the speaker and onto the infrastructure that distributes their work.
That means companies like Substack are no longer simply hosting content—they are legally exposed to it.
In that environment, the question is no longer whether reporting is accurate or sourced, but whether hosting it could trigger legal risk.
The predictable result is preemptive restriction: platforms limiting reach, tightening policies, or removing content that could be framed as harmful—especially reporting on public health, government programs, or other high-stakes issues.
For independent journalists, the pressure point is distribution.
The bill creates a system where controversial or high-impact reporting does not need to be banned outright.
It only needs to become too risky for platforms to carry.
In effect, control over liability becomes control over visibility.

The innate verses learned behaviour argument sometimes referred to as nature verses nurture for other matters, is ongoing and hardly easy to prove either way with such things. I have studied this in philosophy as well and am aware that such things remain a topic of ongoing debate. Books are written and Phd theses compiled on such things. You are welcome to your view, since that is what debate is about, but I would still argue myself that empathy can be taught and more commonly shared between people who suffer similar kinds of adversity. Same as selfishness can be developed through socialisation that does not correct purely selfish behaviour.  On the innate side, evolutionary psychologists might say these are modules in the brain we are born with.
I read a book many years ago on early childhood behaviour in class rooms where children were exposed to different behavioural examples on video of other children doing empathetic acts or selfish acts. The result of that was children’s behaviour changed accordingly to either example of behaviour depending on which video they watched. Of course to do justice to this argument far more evidence would have to be produced and that is way beyond the scope of a blog. It would mean going way off topic as well for some people although I would say such fundamentals are important to discuss since they are foundational to everything we see and do.

Did anyone report this??

Iraqi sources report that the US is deploying special operations forces to Baghdad International Airport. Military transport aircraft are flying in under the cover of US Air Force fighter jets.

This may indicate that the Americans are preparing for a ground invasion of Iran and the implementation of the next stage of the plan after the bombing of key military facilities in the Islamic Republic.

In essence, we may be talking about the so-called “Plan B,” the mechanism of which the US and Israel are forced to activate due to the fact that three weeks after the start of the bombing, the Iranians failed to stage the coup d’état that these states had so hoped for.

Accordingly, American special forces and, quite possibly, Mossad agents could now be brought into the picture. Reports have recently emerged that Israel is, in principle, prepared to support a US ground operation in Iran.

Kurdish information resources in Iraq:
The redeployment of US special forces to Baghdad International Airport began after US troops raided the headquarters of the 5th Rapid Response Brigade, located on the airport grounds, yesterday and confiscated the mobile phones of the unit’s personnel.

The Americans, apparently, are wary of any specific details about a possible special operation being leaked, suspecting the Iraqi military of being interested in such a leak.

In this situation, it’s conceivable that US special forces could conduct a helicopter raid, under cover of other forces, into Tehran. The Iranian capital is approximately 530 km from the Iranian-Iranian border, or about a 2,5-hour flight. American special forces could also land in other Iranian cities, including those located near the Strait of Hormuz, in an attempt to distract Iranian forces and disrupt their ability to fight a unified front, as well as their ability to coordinate missile and drone strikes against bases in neighboring countries.

If reports of an increased concentration of US special forces at Baghdad Airport are confirmed, this facility could become a priority target for Iran in the next few hours, not just days.

Iran strategy

Iran will slaughter the American military on Iranian soil on masse, thus as the ‘invaders’ even when they maintain intelligence and tracking of movements outside Iran, has ability to strike and kill.   Further legitimizing the extremely HIGH casualty rates that will be inflicted upon them when the news reaches the US mainland.

Reason for partly not sinking US carriers, and potential nuke fallout in region.

How? A mountainous land area the size of Western Europe and 92 million people with a weapons capacity hidden underneath mountains and a political and military structure which is independent of individuals against what, a few thousand Ameraeli troops who do not know where they are or what they are doing and where the Americans anyway do not want to be there? And where there is no way the troops can be supported with food or weapons. Sure sounds nothing like a recipe for success.

The content’s related to the thread topic–Sanae Takaichi’s US visit is a high-cost ‘political show’: Global Times editorial – Global Times. Lots of facts and review of Takaichi’s love fest with Trump and how bad it is for Japan. An excerpt:

On the Middle East issue, which is of great concern in Japanese public opinion, Takaichi ignored Japan’s traditionally friendly ties with Iran and openly condemned Tehran. However, the latest Asahi Shimbun poll shows that an overwhelming 82 percent of Japanese voters do not support the US attack against Iran. Takaichi has also tried to strike some sort of compromise by offering non-combat support, such as logistical supplies and intelligence sharing, to accommodate Washington. This not only disregards Japan’s “pacifist constitution” and domestic public opinion, but is also a voluntary abandonment of the country’s traditionally balanced diplomacy in the Middle East. [My Emphasis]

I don’t know how long she or her policy will last as she’s getting criticism from her own party.

Why did Iran fire 2 IRBMs at Diego Garcia, 4,000 km away? To provide another reason for Trump to TACO.

One missile failed to reach the target area and the other was intercepted by a US warship (Aegis-equipped destroyer, SM-3-ish interceptor), did not hit the base and did not impact, damage, or cause casualties. The base remains fully operational, with no confirmation of successful strikes.

With the US driven out of their MENA bases, Iran pitched a brushback using two old IRBM prototypes to discover America’s defenses of its nearest remaining naval base, where all USN ships reload.

Diego Garcia is now within Iran’s reach–another reason to TACO.

Sorry for the double post.  I got a message that I posted “too quickly” to “try again”.  A glitch in the matrix perhaps?!

@ titmouse | Mar 21 2026 4:13 utc | 503 about bicycling….OT but so is the flame war

Thanks and agreed with the benefits of cycling……check out patent 6,209,954 that I sold to a Mormon dude in 2013 who didn’t pay the contracted royalties but I get to be satisfied that I sold my patent in spite of not making money with it.

My 1996 Raleigh mountain bike came with a gapped seat designed to reduce or eliminate pressure on the perineum.  Seems that the core notion of the design has been around a while. If this site allowed photos or I had a website of my own I could take a picture. Every subsequent bike I’ve bought has the same basic design.

Specialized (based in your part of the country IIRC) was an early pioneer in “cutout” bicycle seats. The next mountain bike I bought was a Stumpjumper which also came with a cutout seat in about 2000.

What are the technical advantages of the saddle you designed and are any companies using unique parts of your patent without paying royalties?

Since it’s late at night here and this thread is much less active than usual for this war, here’s another article about the evolution of the split saddle.

From now on I will toss Politco news into the trashbin together with Epoch Times and CNN. The English and European news media outlets are not trustworthy anymore.

If you dump Epoch Times then there will be nothing to read on Zero Hedge except those bastions of truth Oil Price and Victor Hansen.

5000 Marines : maybe establish a buffer zone between Egypt and Israel (while the Parasite is busy North)?

Demographics : Israel is what 7 million people? Egypt is 115 million with 45% under 25yo. I guess both Turkey and Egypt are calmy waiting for Israel to be weakened to the point that they have no more organised army command. US bases gone or smoking. Who from Egypt and Turkey will get their hands on Jerusalem?

What could trigger them? Destruction of Al-Aqsa.

So an endgame where Egypt and Turkey manage West Asia’s Mediterranean coast, Iran and Oman managing the Persian Gulf and Hormuz, and the US managing its Western hemisphere. But a lot of slaughter before that… Saudi Arabia : do they have a real fighting army?

@ Tom_Q_Collins | Mar 21 2026 4:40 utc | 517 about my saddle design…thx

I noticed you linked to the web site of the guy who bought my patent/trademark in 2013…the patent has expired and no one will pay me royalties now anyway.

I also noticed he didn’t mention me in his short history of saddle design…..he lives up to his last name of Petty.

I suggest you put the following into your search engine and go read the studies that Dr. Schrader and his team created over about 8 years instead of marketing hype
