Things ain’t going great for the U.S. in its war on Iran.
A good time then to up the demand to the site that seems to be winning (by not losing).

Who or what might stop Trump from further digging the deep hole he is already in?

You speak of Amalekites? From the very first day of America’s founding, the Americans have regarded everyone else as Amalekites to kill, rob and steal from.
In fact, reversing the policy of the British Crown, which aimed at conversion, the Puritans had initiated a massacre of the redskins, assimilated to ‘Canaanites and Amalekites’ that is, stocks marked out by the Old Testament for erasure from the face of the earth. This was ‘one of the darkest pages in English colonial history’, which was followed by the even more repugnant one written during the American Revolution, when the rebel colonists engaged in ‘the entire destruction of the Six Indian Nations’ that had remained loyal to England: ‘by an order which, we believe, has no parallel in the annals of any civilized nation, [Congress] commands the complete destruction of those people as a nation … including women and children’. 87
Eliminating Israel is just eliminating one of America’s many disposable tools. Eretz Israel/Greater Israel and Nazi Germany’s Lebensraum are both direct descendants of America’s Manifest Destiny. Fascism is birthed from the loins of America.
Compare Nazi Germany:
For the Germans, eastern Europe represented their “Manifest Destiny.” Hitler and other Nazi thinkers drew direct comparisons to American expansion in the West. During one of his famous “table talks,” Hitler decreed that “there’s only one duty: to Germanize this country [Russia] by the immigration of Germans and to look upon the natives as Redskins.”
With present-day America:
The United States will once again consider itself a growing nation — one that increases our wealth, expands our territory, builds our cities, raises our expectations, and carries our flag into new and beautiful horizons. And we will pursue our manifest destiny into the stars, launching American astronauts to plant the Stars and Stripes on the planet Mars. (Applause.)
I know exactly why Americans keep dragging in Israel, Russia, China etc into the discussion. It’s because they’re trying to shift attention and blame.
The Americans’ own 2009 analysis paper said that the myth of America being a “mostly benign and uniquely unselfish hegemon” would be shattered if America invaded Iran, so Americans are working overtime to correct that perception by blaming Jews and Israel for the dirty deeds that Americans compelled America’s scapegoats to do. Others have turned to blaming Trump exclusively so that they could sell the idea that the next American leader will fix things despite zero evidence of new administrations putting a check on America’s insatiable imperial ambitions.
Here’s what the 2009 analysis paper had to say about an American invasion of Iran:
It could well settle the debate over whether the United States is an aggressive, unilateralist imperial power or a mostly benign and uniquely unselfish hegemon. Americans have always seen themselves as the latter, and there are many people around the world who still view the United States that way despite the events of 2001-2008—in large part because some agree that there were justifications for the war in Iraq, and others simply blame American actions on an aberrant administration. An invasion of Iran could eliminate the lingering basis for that support and profoundly alter global perspectives on the United States, which over time would inevitably translate into commensurate shifts in policy against this country.
Trump is fully to blame for this war, but Trump is not an aberrant administration. Trump is the personification of what Americans have always been ever since the first European colonists landed on Plymouth Rock—genocidal maniacs bent on taking all the lands and consuming all the resources on this planet Earth.
Death to America
