BREAKING: Switzerland says US-Israeli attacks on Iran ‘a violation of international law’

Switzerland says US-Israeli attacks on Iran ‘a violation of international law’

Swiss Defence Minister Martin Pfister has said the US and Israel have broken international law with their attacks on Iran.

“The Federal Council is of the opinion that the attack on Iran constitutes a violation of international law,” Pfister told SonntagsZeitung in an interview published today, referring to the ‌Swiss cabinet.

“In our view, it constitutes a violation on the prohibition of violence,” he added, urging all parties involved to stop the fighting to protect the civilian population.

Pfister clarified he was referring to all the countries not complying with the prohibition on violence, including the US and Israel.

“The Americans and Israel have attacked Iran from the air. In doing so, they, like Iran, violated international law,” Pfister said.

The remarks echo those of German Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil, who told the RND newspaper network that he had “serious doubts that this war is legitimate under international law”.  Klingbeil also said there was a “great danger that we are sliding ever deeper ‌into a world where there are no longer any rules. We do not want to live in a world where only the law ‌of ‌the strongest applies”.

Spain has also denounced the US and Israeli bombings of Iran as reckless and illegal.

Experts have also told Al Jazeera the US and Israeli strikes against Iran likely violate the UN Charter’s prohibition on aggression and lack any valid legal justification.

Bahrain says Iran hit a desalination plant, stoking fears of attacks on civilian sites

Bahrain accused Iran of striking a desalination plant on Sunday, raising fears that civilian infrastructure may become fair game in the war, as Iran’s president vowed to expand the country’s attacks on American targets across the region in the face of intense U.S. and Israeli airstrikes.

A late-night Israeli strike on an oil facility engulfed parts of Iran’s capital, Tehran, in smoke on Sunday, while Israel renewed attacks in Lebanon. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to press ahead with the nine-day-old campaign, which has rippled across the region and appears to have no end in sight….

Dima says this morning that the coalition is repositioning five carrier groups around the fheater. The Charles de Gaulle and the Prince of Whales will covdf the Eastern Mediterranean area while the George W. Bush will join the two ogher American Carrier groups in the Gulf area.  This would a good opportunity for Russia and China to disarm the US for awhile if thdy wanted to. I am curious to se how “diplomacy” will play out here since bogh Russia and China still act as if U.N. rules apply while the US and the EU are embracing neo-colonialism d gunboat diplomacy.

What shocked me most about the finding that 53% of Americans view each other as morally bad is that 92% of the people RIGHT NEXT DOOR (Canadians) view their fellow citizens as morally GOOD.

Apparently, Canadians are able to prevent their political views from affecting their interpersonal relations, while most Americans are unable or unwilling to do that.

from Google re “global river delta dead zones”:
Global river delta dead zones are aquatic areas with critically low oxygen (hypoxia) caused by nutrient pollution—mainly nitrogen and phosphorus from agricultural runoff—which triggers massive algae blooms. As these blooms die and decompose, they deplete oxygen, suffocating marine life. The Gulf of Mexico (Mississippi Delta) holds a major dead zone often reaching thousands of square miles.

In the US it’s the effect of social engineering by both genocidal Imperialist parties, their schools, media, etc.  Since about 2011, the Dems have been pushing the virtuous race, gender, sexuality war among the plebs.  By 2015 this was ratcheted up as against Trump, peaking in mass insanity in the summer of Floyd.  Trump has been pushing a reverse race, gender, sexuality war since at least 2016.  Very little politics in all this.  It typically boils down to “people who look like this are evil”.  Hence workers think other workers are evil and sort of forget about the billionaire Zio Oligarchs.
Nothing special about Canada, it just doesn’t do the same type of divide and rule engineering on its own population.

Our host links to a long piece by one Helena Cobban. I followed the link. First I noticed that the topic was more specifically the rise to world power of the so-called West. As the title suggests she starts with the Portuguese voyages of discovery to the Atlantic islands and around Africa, eventually to the Indian ocean and beyond. Given that the Ottomans were besieging Vienna as late as 1683, centuries after the rise of the West she’s talking about, demonstrates this is rather more peculiar notion than a careless reader may think.

Second, the tendency for the West to be a superficially secular version of Christendom is apparently ignored (couldn’t tolerate reading the whole thing.) That’s why many more reputable historians cloak their obfuscations with the term modernity. This is a superficially neutral terminology for capitalism I think. And I also think Cobban’s real topic is the rise of capitalism/imperialism. Maybe this essay is personal growth for Cobban but I disagree with our host it is useful reading for MoA commentariat.

Yeah even here in Greater Houston diesel immediately jumped $0.76 in the first few days of the war. Gas prices are usually cheaper in denser areas with multiple stations nearby, and I’m in the burbs (granted with numerous stations) and it was $4.30 the other day when I passed by. Regular gasoline only up by a relatively small amt. So far….

Posted by: Ahenobarbus | Mar 8 2026 17:00 utc | 25 I do have to add that cultivating contempt for the lesser orders , however the targets are defined, isn’t just a matter of recent political figures. The insinuation that it is woke people who dislike, despise, fear and even hate their fellow Americans covers up the long history of demonization of all manner of people, and adulation of wealth. The tradition that cities are full of shady people is an expression of this long before woke. Social fetishes about respectability and church-going and so-called hardworking prudent people who save i.e., have money or about cruelty to poor people who lack moral responsibility are much more important than a relatively recent fad. Plus of course, the notion that woke is omnipotent tyranny is more manufactured outrage than social reality. Blaming the victim is ancient. There are a lot of victims and losers in decaying capitalist America, the ruling class has to fight solidarity all the harder.

Last night on a long drive I caught an interview on YT that Dima from Dialogue Works did with Professor Jiang. He went somewhere that Dima wasn’t expecting. He held himself back a little and stated his reasons for doing so, but not before questioning the true state of the world, who/what the real powers are behind nation states, and why what’s happening is happening. I felt very vindicated and empathize when he said if he spoke more he’d be looked at as crazed and deranged. This guy is blowing up in popularity and is going to open the eyes of a great number of people. Couldn’t come at a better time. He needed some clarification on a regional name discrepancy and I shared a lecture from Dr. Heiser with him on substack which he appreciated. I prayed for this guy and his family this morning, he is in great danger. I’d like to compel everyone to listen to interviews floating around in our altgeopoliticmediasphere, regardless of your religious beliefs or lack thereof. He’s not religious or pushing religion at all, just take a listen to what he has to say about the ongoing conflict, Dima and Danny wouldn’t waste time having him on if he weren’t knowledgeable and a source of insight. Speaking like he is, he may not be around long.

no one has to tell anyone else anything. This is quoted from “How to Know God: The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali” p 41. quote, “In Hindu scriptures, we often find the phrase, ‘To take refuge in his name.'” Then he adds, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe,” from Prov 18:10.

no one in the US gives a rat’s ass about Marx or political-ethical philosophy. And we sure as hell don’t know any history, we can’t even remember about being lied to repeatedly over decades about this or that country and its WMD threat.

After losing key facilities at Ali Al-Salem, US forces shifted their command-and-control operations into the Public Social Insurance building in Kuwait, treating a soft civilian structure like a temporary nerve center. A swarm of Iranian suicide drones crushed it. You can see the collapse in the footage.

This wasn’t just a hit on a building, it was a hit on a fallback C2 node the Americans thought was hidden enough to survive. Instead, it shows how fast their posture is unraveling and how easily Iran is tracking every adaptation they attempt.

Yet another useful piece from Michael Roberts, for those interest in PRC. China: the 15th National Plan – Michael Roberts Blog

China’s household consumption is not stagnating, it’s growing 4.4%, more or less in line with GDP growth. Exports are not driving growth. Net trade accounted for about 20% of 2025 growth, the rest was driven by domestic consumption and investment.  Fast growth in productivity has avoided inflation and is not due to a ‘lack of domestic demand’. Why should China change from its investment-led economy that has seen the average real wage in urban areas grow by 2,406% since 1978 taking purchasing power up 25 times?  Can the consumption-led economies of the US and the UK match that rise in purchasing power for their households?

Another excerpt of interest

And China has a high level of inequality of incomes by international standards, although it is still lower than many other ‘emerging’ economies like Brazil, Mexico or South Africa – and the gini inequality ratio peaked just before the Great Recession and has been falling since.  The main reason for the high inequality ratio is the disparity of incomes between urban and rural workers and between the wages in coastal and inland cities, as well as educational qualifications.

The conclusion highlights Roberts’ political weakness.

n my view, the key to China’s economic success is its large state sector that can drive investment and so implement national plan targets. It shows the value of public ownership and dominant government-directed investment within a national plan. As a result, China has avoided any recession or slump in the last 50 years, even during COVID, even though there have been many errors and zig zags in economic policy by the autocratic Communist leadership. China is not a socialist country, but neither is it capitalist. I explain that conundrum here.

The way this is phrased implies that any government can take up such policies. War economies have large state sectors and so-called welfare states do too, but it is socialist governments that can do effective planning. PRC doesn’t plan specific commodity prices and productions quotas as in the heyday of central planning but the assumption any democratic government could needs real support. Roberts also implies that autocratic governments are less able to guide the economy, by emphasizing the last fifty years. That is a common ploy to pretend that the Mao era wasn’t the foundation of today, a dubious proposition indeed. The claim that PRC isn’t socialist appears to me to be political, that Roberts’ model is bourgeois democracy+planning=true socialism. More and more I’m thinking that anybody who defines socialism according to some ideal state of affairs has an insuperable problem in thinking that they already know what the socialist state of affairs will be. Thinking actual socialism will be anything but a historical process that can’t be successfully captured in a checklist is slipping into metaphysical thinking.

Gas and diesel US national average prices yesterday versus one month ago: Gasoline, $3.450–$2.897; diesel, $4.595–$3.644. California leads the pack with the spread between counties for gasoline at $5.725 to $5.265, with the state average for diesel at $$5.905, up .10 in one day, with some places already well over $6/gal. The state record average for diesel was $7.011 on 6/18/22. That record stands a good chance of being broken by the end of March. This will give a huge boost to the cost-plus inflation that the Fed denies is happening and that no raising of rates can contain. And of course, Europeans will get squeezed much harder via the cutoff of LNG imports and its suicidal policy versus Russia. Europe will find its ability to refill its reserves in preparation for next Winter not just costly but very constrained as there’s no way the Outlaw US Empire can fill the capacity gap. Europe thus faces the very real possibility of not having enough gas stored for next Winter.

I asked ai ‘is there any current leader who is even more adamant in making his country even more powerless susceptible to external pressure than Pashiniyan?’. The ai replied ‘No sitting world leader in 2026 is documented as more aggressively pursuing policies that render their country weaker and more exposed to external pressures than Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.’. What is driving Pashiniyan’s weakening of his own country? Does he have any deep hatred of his own people?

Nima was impressed by Dr. Jiang’s descriptions of the Gulf states as not just being the product of the British Empire but also being unsustainable states once their hydrocarbon revenues are removed. The leaders of those states best choice is to ally with Iran and the Greater Zionist project being pushed by the Outlaw US Empire will eliminate them as leaders and all that goes with their positions.

@40 duck ‘n cover

The reason I am not afraid to criticize both the elite in the west and its fundamentally, jewish-supremacist posture is because of our Founding Father’s Constitution, Jeffersonian-idealism (The Tree of Liberty watered occasionally through the blood of Tyrants), and the Catholic Church which, at one point, was led by Pontificates that affirmed that Judaism was anathema to the Gospels as revealed by Christ.

It dies help, too, that I was unpersoned by the Covid-19 mandates, denied a job and unemployment insurance after being fired, for refusing a (probably inert, composed of saline, and unproven) experimental therapeutic for an outbreak that 99% of healthy adults my age survive easily.

I have seen how nasty they are. How unreasonable they are. And how they will not hesitate to squash individual liberty even though they pose as its Holy Bastion.

Now, the Constitution says that we must defend it perhaps by foreign enemies but ALSO domestic. So we have a Constitutional footing to defend ourselves from these tyrants.

I have no problem, then, encouraging fragging or a purposeful dereliction of duties for enlisted men.

I have seen men come home from Iraq broken. The suicide rate of enlisted men returning from foreign wars speak of a reasoning that is hopelessly lost.

Now, when it comes to the Jews, we must be clear. No violence being called for. In as much as the BDS movement is considered violent against Jews, I suppose we will then have to advocate this violenxd of shunning and argumentative correction. I want my fellow Christians to understand the Jews’ rejection of the Logos as proof that we must at every turn confound their ability to succeed as a “people set-apart.” They should not be able to have a racist home on the back of a US-enforced promise of security. Domestically, they should not be allowed to peddle their pornography, usury, or nepotism in government through neoconservatism or their liberal wing (in Hollywood media and New York finance).

Christians need to fucking a grow a pair and call out the Jews. Not just Zionists. Your Lord demands it. So don’t be afraid of their empty threats or their smears of “racist” or “antisemite.” These are not just zionists we are talking about. It is world Jewry.

Anybody who says mass murder is only in the Old Testament should apologize for wasting everybody’s time. Even if you want to selectively pick out only Jesus supposed sayings and doings forget commands to pluck out eyes and punish people who don’t make enough money for their masters and put away you family and so on. It’s not just the bits you like.

Pashinyan’s been a NATO/EU asset almost his entire career. One look at his Wiki bio will tell you that. Why/how Armenians elected him IMO is the big Q. When you look at Armenia’s economic stats, you’ll see they are very closely tied to the EAEU and commerce with Russia and very little with EU making it clear he’s being paid to act contrary to Armenia’s national interest.

Agree with the rest of your comment from a non-religious POV, though. And if the vaccine had been a standard (non-mRNA or whatever) then I would have no problem with it – presuming it had been proven to work (which it hadn’t).

“Jeffersonian-idealism”
@NemesisCalling | Mar 8 2026 18:14 utc | 52
Jefferson had 600 slaves and acted accordingly in his intention to deny the US an own industry.  Thus he sided with the British former colonial master that he was supposed to have fought. Like other politicians he had a way with words. And since Britain was a skilled manipulator and americans dont know their own history he escaped their attention.
.
Was he under such pressure that he couldnt help it and am I not being fair to him?

Not where I look, but sure, it’s possible and likely happens. Nothing I view at any point is exploitation, though and I’m 100% sure of it.

Again, you abide by the Constitution or you don’t.

Anyone can and does make the same argument against the 2nd amendment. How could a lot of the girls who are trafficked or exploited be treated that way without the right to bear arms?

Posted by: Tom_Q_Collins | Mar 8 2026 18:36 utc | 62

@56 Tom

The very fact that all pornography is not behind a pay-wall (credit card needed to access) is absolute proof that they want childrens’ brains to be warped by violent-sexual imagery. And science has proven that pornography has a terrible effect on the developing brain.

So we can agree, I hope, that pornography must be placed behind a pay-wall (18+), that models and actors must be protected by fair-labor practices, and that both of these things will hopefully drastically reduce the ability of developing youth to have their brains warped and dopamine receptors scrambled to society’s detriment.

I know you wouldn’t disagree with this. You are sensible.

Keep in mind that Russia has drastically reduced its pornography viewership through the leadership of Putin. Most of the countries we are going after right now also have stringent regulations wrt pornography manufacturing/consumption. Something to think about.

We’re getting into complex and nuanced territory here. Again, keep the 1st Amendment in mind as well as the 4th (the right to privacy, effectively). See the The Intercept article I shared above. This – including paywalls and age verification – are or are ultimately intended to be surveillance mechanisms.

You seem to be arguing for regulation – something you know I’m in agreement with, again with careful guardrails. Yes, fair labor and all of that.  It’s really up to parents to enforce that kind of thing – and as one I know how hard it can be. My definition (or perhaps being a little too open & honest) of “pornography” is basically the old playboy or penthouse type thing. Not all the crazy stuff, tho I can see other people having certain fetishes. Honestly with this time change thing and having lost a few hours of sleep, I’m not in a mental space to be able to articulate or debate this all that intelligently right now.

IMHO one is either an “originalist” (the Constitution abides in most cases – as imperfect and designed as an instrument of repression of the lower classes and out-groups), or one isn’t and the document isn’t worth the paper it was written on. I’m not defending it, per se; I’m saying that hypocrisy reigns for all “sides” virtually any debate in this country.

Not enough context/information to base a debate on. I’m sorry for what happened to her, but I have no idea what that was. Also, without Jews, there would still be porn.  First “film” was porn.
I don’t need a lecture about how porn warps the mind,  Christianity warps the mind, buddy, and I never say it, until someone like you gets high and might and acts like an authority on morality.    Christianity makes children think their bodies and sexuality is shameful and sinful.  Hell, most Christians I know bank morality on sexuality.  They think sex is like a big sin.  Wracked with guilt for having desires.  Even fantasizing about another person is the same as fornication.

It isn’t.  And even if it was, there is nothing wrong with sex with someone you aren’t married too.

Yup.  Through some christian family, i had a member tell me about a member in their church, a youth pastor, caught with a bunch of the girls in his youth group’s pictures on his phone.  He was married, so instead of just straight up calling him a creep, they acted like he was a “sex addict” and just needed therapy.

Its like half the reason men even go to church is so they can read song of solomon to a girl and talk about “gods love”.  I remember way back when I was young, this guy was telling me what his youth group was like, adn their parents thinking they are virgins.

There was even a little scandal in conservative town recently about a couple of pretty big influencers having an affair at CPAC that extended for six months until she married her fiance, who she told she was a virgin… they were literally blessed by the pope.

And then she starts, its was his fault, he got me drunk the first night, because Christians really have a hard time believing girls want it.  they just think like, men are evil predators or some shit, it is so fucked up the way they warp kids heads.  Sometimes they warp it so bad a third of women cant even orgasms they are worried about God watching everything they do.  Pretty much scarring child abuse.

And then they say, “its all ok, if they are married”, well, again, what about the scrawny 5’5′ buck toothed kid with acne and a voice that sounds like a dremel?  Who is going to marry him? No girl in todays world will, so he just has to die a virgin, I guess.

It’s just fucked up, and then they want to get into my bedroom.  Well, no thanks.  My girls and I occasionally watch porn together.  Its just one of many spices.  I dont need christians telling me how bad it is.  Nope, fuck off Christian.

I find it very suspicious that the same posters here trumpeting on about the Epstein-class bombing Iran take issue when someone in the west actually wants to do something, anything about our incredibly violent and sexed-up culture. Yes, not all adolescent girls want to experience sex the way that men envision it (to be a house of pure objectification of the other and self-gratification). This interview from an Epstein victim in the 90s at his Florida home makes clear that not all precocious girls want to be exposed to a nasty man’s idea of healthy sexuality.

Guys, do a quick google search: pornography has shown that it detrimentally affects the developing brain, its gray matter, and its dopamine receptors, triggering emotional dysregulation and anxiety. I’ll wait. Take a moment and do it, if you have the balls.

I was not consulted when I was exposed to my father’s stash of penthouse magazines at age 6. My friends weren’t either. This is a tragedy that did have an effect on my life, on my parents’ marriage which dissolved, and on my natural curiosity about sex that could have emerged in adolescence in a saner-way.

True, parents can ease children into alcohol consumption for instance, at a younger age than 18. But this is social convention. Acceptable. No one would sanely admit to another family that they allow their children to view hardcore pornography. Let alone brag about it.

Furthermore, how many married adult males struggle with viewing pornography? How many of these cases negatively affect the healthy sex life of a marriage, which the Catholic Church does affirm is a force for goodness in married life, contrary to what UWDude mentions about sex and religion? I would bet that if men were more honest with their spouse about their porn addiction, their marriage would be a much healthier space for both spouses and it might even encourage the wife to tend to her husband’s needs in a more fulfilling-manner. Many pop-psychologists on youtube are acknowledging just this issue: wife withholding sex from men that leads men to pursue masturbation and porn. Porn is not free speech: it obscures and destroys it.

So the first step is to get it behind a paywall. This will protect children immediately. Then, we can revisit the discussion as to whether it constitutes free speech (it does not) as the post-WW2, RBO, sexually-revolutioned Supreme Court ruled in favor of to our detriment.

Secrets and blackmail.  And those girls knew what they were doing, too.  Just not legally, but morally, yeah, they knew.  pretty girls know what is up by the time they are 16, and they know they can get things with their looks, and they learn how to manipulate men, and they know going to a yacht club with a bunch of famous millionaires is not because they are going to read philosophy and bird watching.  Can we drop the fucking act.

Plus filming porn under 18 is already illegal.  Christians always try to pull this shit.

Yep. I grew up in exactly that kind of community. I didn’t want to bore the thread with more stories about it, but I’ll just say that these Christian self-anointed prophet wannabe preachers seemed to cycle in and out on a half yearly basis. Each and every one was eventually run out of the community for what I later learned was almost invariably having sex (or trying) with an underage girl or boy. A couple of them were basically grooming the girls as young as 10, multiple at a time – one broke off and tried taking a couple of 11 and 12 year old girls with him to some compound he’d set up in the desert several miles away. Got away with it for almost a year. Both girls ended up in foster care.  Sick bastards shrouding themselves in holiness and religious righteousness. I’m not saying all religions or congregations are like this to that degree, but it IS a matter of degree. Any person or group who feels like they need to deny basic human urges (within reasonable societally acceptable limits – i.e. don’t fuck with kids) to the extent these guys (or the Catholic priests!) is automatically setting themselves and society (to the extent they have influence over it – congregation to city to state to national level) for some bullshit.

I AM NOT going to debate religion in this thread and I AM NOT questioning anyone’s faith or choice of spirituality!!!! So I will not reply to anyone who wants to have that debate.

Exactly. Literally any profession or commodity or whatever can be exploited in devious and harmful ways. It’s capitalism, American Style. (but let’s blame the Jews) ANOTHER debate I won’t be entertaining here.

It depends upon how many parties are involved.  In the vast majority an act involving two individuals is a transaction involving more than two parties.  What agency does the additional party have?
