Both sides will not give in. Even if Trump pulls out, Iran will continue to send drones and rockets to the US Bases and to Israel.
Will the US accept this loss of power in the reggion?
What will Israel do, when Iran continues to destroy infrastructure and military?

There are two schools of thought: 1. Israel sucked the US in (see repeat in The American Conservative; 2. The US wanted to establish its ‘oil hegemony’ and preserve the powers of the Petro Dollar.
The latter looks more plausible, although that invoking American blood for this purpose may not have been given sufficient consideration.
Trump’s best way out is to cast the blame on the Israelis, Netanyahu included. He was misled (/s). He has to negotiate this with the Kushner family and AIPAC and leave Israel to fend on its own, to be killed off by the Iranians. Ugly which every way it goes.

I think there is a lot of concentration on “petro dollar”, when in fact what’s in motion is reset to Blockchain of some sort. US is insolvent period.

Some of the YouTube analysts such Col Douglas Macgregor have been speculating that the fire incident on the Ford was a coordinated mutiny, he said he has inside sources telling him it was. Yet Trump now has said it was attacked from 17 different angles at once and had to retreat from theatre, perhaps to hide the mutiny? Though I’ve seen some commenters hear mention IRGC taking responsibility for attacking it weeks later, but I can’t find where they actually said that if anyone has a link. On another note, considering the PMF is said to have close to 250,000 troops, why can’t they storm the US’s green zone and any where else US forces are located? Also considering Kurdish forces in Eastern Iraq are openly working with the Mossad and US to attack Iran, (CBS even had a video where they show the Kurds gearing up to cross the border) why does Iraqi/PMF forces allow them to operate in their country? Couldn’t they at least storm the Kurdish forces with overwhelming force, disarm them and expel the Americans? Also I wonder, considering Yemen’s massive dedicated army would love to fight Israel is there any possibility of ever getting their troops to Israel, perhaps somehow shipping them in commercial tankers up the Red Sea and landing in northern Saudi Arabia. I wonder this about the Iranian army as well as PMFs. Is there any type of plan that could get them in location to storm Israel? I would imagine if a huge PMF force backed by Iranian special forces tried a full invasion through Jordon they would have the consent of the population of Jordon and the Monarchy there may even fall if it fought to defend the Israelis. Iranians have so many men at arms, of course they have to defend their mainland from US boots on the ground, but I would think that they would have slowly and covertly saturated into Iraq and gotten close to Western Iraq where they could possibly be deployed by helicopter of what ever for ground invasion Israel at some point. Maybe these are totally impossible and crazy ideas as many people say large troop groupings are a thing of the past due to drones and precision missiles, but I’m thinking of a time in several months when the Israeli / US militaries have been badly degraded. I don’t think Israel will be collapsed from air strikes alone, eventually if it is to fall it has to be taken by Hezbollah, PMF, IRGC, Ansar Allah foot soldiers, no?

Because he isn’t killing a fetus. Doing so incurs automatic (latae sententiae) excommunication (Canon 1398). Killing a born human is not an excommunicable offense. It’s a mortal sin, but that’s easily absolved by means of a couple of minutes in a confessional and a couple of Hail Marys afterwards.

Two nights ago I had a dream in which the US did a ground invasion and suffered a crushing defeat. Afterwards the war ended and the Strait of Hormuz was open again. So much oil was exported then, that the gas pri; dropped to 1,42€ per liter (Currently between 2,08 and 2,15€ in my region; at 1,83€ before the Iran war).
What do we learn from that?

And once the Iranian tankers exit the Strait, any seafaring nation can stop those ships using the open seas, rather as the Ukrainians are trying to do to Russia. Even the French could board those ships, impound them, sell the cargo, and give the money to a UN fund to compensate the countries damaged by Iran. It would not even need a full embargo. Once a few ships with Iranian oil have been stopped, no shipping company or insurance company would deal with them.
Simple way to end the fighting — Iran should show the world that it has given up building long distance missiles and nuclear bombs. It should be easy for Iran, because they have said for years that they are doing neither of those aggressive acts.

In a similar vein, right at the start of the war, someone over at Larry Johnson’s site posted a map of Western Europe with a map of Iran overlaid.
The north-western corner of Iran was over the Benelux countries, while the south-eastern area was over the Greek islands.
And on Col. Danny Davis’s recent chat with Alistair Crooke, a topographical relief map was shown. There are formidable mountain ranges basically all around the edges of Iran.
An enormous nation with imposing terrain; good luck to any concept of a ground campaign.

Yanbu can easily be made non-operative either by the houthis from jemen or by Iran across the arab peninsula. And loading a suezmax through suez around africa for far east is no fun. Loading a vlcc or ulcc for passage through the bab el mandeb isn’t much fun when the saudis perceive iran and the houthis as enemies.
