I don’t think US has any functional airbases left in the gulf countries now. It’s mostly Jordan (albeit there are rumors US bases were also hit here) and Israel air bases for land-based aircraft, relying solely on aerial tankers and the two carriers. Maybe Cyprus, which would be extremely long range missions.
 
How likely is it they can sustain a lot of air strikes.

You do realize that Iran negotiated with the US, no? Iran would have preferred a negotiated settlement to this war. Just as Russia prefers negotiations to kinetic war. The Yankes obviously don’t. Vladimir Putin has more bravery and valor than you will ever possess. More brain, too. It takes that to keep a cool head when the bombs are flying. The scale and nature of the military, political, and propaganda preparations preceding this reckless move, including the deployment of a large US military force to the region, leave no doubt that this was a pre-planned and unprovoked act of armed aggression against a sovereign and independent UN member state, in violation of the fundamental principles and norms of international law.
 
It is also condemnable that the attacks are being carried out again under the guise of a renewed negotiation process, ostensibly designed to ensure long-term normalization of the situation around the Islamic Republic, and despite signals conveyed to the Russian side that the Israelis have no interest in a military confrontation with the Iranians. The international community, including the leadership of the UN and the IAEA, must immediately provide an objective and uncompromising assessment of these irresponsible actions aimed at undermining peace, stability, and security in the Middle East.
 
Washington and Tel Aviv have once again embarked on a dangerous adventure that is rapidly bringing the region closer to a humanitarian, economic, and, quite possibly, radiological catastrophe. The aggressors’ intentions are clear and have been declared quite openly: to destroy the constitutional order and eliminate the leadership of an undesirable state that has refused to submit to the dictates of force and hegemony. We demand an immediate return to the path of political and diplomatic resolution. Russia, as before, stands ready to facilitate the search for peaceful solutions based on international law, mutual respect, and a balance of interests.
