Wow, even if the generals talk sense into Trump and back him away is this the first time US and Israel forces have directly acted together in a military mission? During the first Gulf War supposedly the Israelis wanted to join in but the Americans were adamant they think about the optics of that. The US can’t be seen to be Israel’s tool or any major military action it takes be seen as an act for Israeli and not American interests. (Even the attacks on the Houthis could be said to be about the shipping lanes as Israel) The neocon agenda had to be concealed. Indeed during the subsequent Iraq war after the neocon coup after 9/11 we didn’t even hear the idea mooted despite all the “coalition of the willing” talk. They understood by then. 
This is the first time I can remember (Please correct me if I’m wrong) that this taboo has been broken with the US and Israel (And only the US and Israel, though the UK no doubt is actively involved just choosing to make it deniable) acting in concert to attack an enemy of Israel for no other purpose than Israeli interests. We keep breaking taboos the Israel lobby had set up to keep themselves concealed or immune from notice but this was the big one.

Better to divide the attention of the rest of the world so that they will exhaust themselves fighting America’s proxies instead of fighting America itself, leaving them (both the proxies and the targets) exhausted and easy to conquer.
 
Wiping Israel off the map won’t end the threat to Iran’s existence. Syria’s al-Julani or some other radical Islamists would be more than happy to offer themselves as missile shields and footsoldiers for America’s imperial project to make the whole world its dominion. America could use compradors to bring down Iran from within, like what Trump’s speech today is attempting to do by inciting the locals to take down the government, or like what America tried to do in 1953 coup with the Shah.

Well I guess it’s just a certain number of incoming before usa Israel run out of interceptors at the many bases. Some seem to say they shot down all while others clearly show hits so air defence was very patchy at military sites. It will be seen how an air campaign goes after the pentagon already has been leaked that they can only operate 7-10 days before withdrawing . Today is just the opening volleys,  They do have the latest C-Ram Gatling guns that don’t shoot a thing down but at least they look cool
