‘Trump Administration Asserts Ambition To Dominate Energy Sector’

The U.S. is trying to dominate the control global energy sector and to control the routes through which energy is delivered to global customer.

That accusation is made by Russia’s Foreign Minister Lavrov in an interview to the TV BRICS media network. The interview also touches on other aspects. The excerpts from the interview posted below are only the ones which regard to energy issues (emphasis added):

Multiple centres of rapid economic growth, power, and financial and political influence have thus emerged. The world is being reshaped through competition. The West is reluctant to relinquish its formerly dominant positions.

Moreover, with the arrival of the Trump administration, this struggle to constrain competitors has become particularly obvious and explicit. Indeed, the Trump administration openly asserts its ambition to dominate in the energy sector and harness their competitors.

Blatantly unfair methods are being used against us: the operations of Russian oil companies such as Lukoil and Rosneft are being banned, and there are attempts to dictate and restrict Russia’s trade, investment cooperation, and military-technical ties with our major strategic partners, including India as well as other BRICS states.

All of these geopolitical confrontations, along with the attempts to derail the objective course of history, inevitably affect bilateral relations. I am not going to mention them all; those include sanctions, the so-called “shadow fleet” invented by the West, attempts to detain vessels by military force in the open sea in blatant violation of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, and much more. Tariffs imposed for purchasing oil or gas from certain suppliers have now become commonplace.

They tell us that the Ukraine problem should be resolved. In Anchorage, we accepted the US proposal. If we regard it “as men,” it means that they proposed it and we agreed, so the problem must be resolved. …

So far, the reality is quite the opposite: new sanctions are imposed, a ‘war’ against tankers in the open sea is being waged in violation of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. They are trying to ban India and our other partners from buying cheap, affordable Russian energy resources (Europe has long been banned) and are forcing them to buy US LNG at exorbitant prices. This means that the Americans have set themselves the task of achieving economic domination.

Furthermore, while they ostensibly made a proposal regarding Ukraine and we were ready to accept it (now they are not), we do not see any bright future in the economic sphere either. The Americans want to take control of all the routes for providing the world’s leading countries and all continents with energy resources. On the European continent, they are eyeing the Nord Streams, which were blown up three years ago, the Ukrainian gas transportation system and the TurkStream.

This illustrates that the US objective – to dominate the world economy – is being realised using a fairly large number of coercive measures that are incompatible with fair competition. Tariffs, sanctions, direct prohibitions, forbidding some from engaging with others – we have to take all of this into account.

A NY Times piece published today on Trump’s oil grab in Venezuela makes, in part, a similar point (archived):

In China, a foreign ministry spokeswoman said last month that Mr. Trump was “bullying” Venezuela to give up its oil. Spain joined with five Latin American countries, including Mexico and Brazil, in denouncing “the external appropriation” of Venezuela’s natural resources as illegal.

Mr. Trump has sought to turn the tables, charging that Venezuela “took our oil away from us” and “stole our assets” in 2007 when it increased state control over its oil industry and forced two of the three U.S. companies operating in the country to abandon their projects at considerable expense.

Whether that is Mr. Trump’s true motivation is unclear. He has asserted a U.S. right to “take the oil” from other countries, from Iraq to Syria to Libya, although he has not previously done so.

That is a sharp break from decades of precedent, …

A high gambit strategy to control global energy does not fall from the sky:

  • Where is the policy paper that has laid out the plans for doing this?
  • Who has written it?
  • Who is the point person in the White House that is driving this strategy?

Please point to answers for these questions.

You hit the problem on the head. In America, people generally don’t believe they have souls. They aren’t animated by their ancestors or their descendants. They have no sense of common purpose. Until that fundamental absence is addressed, the “beatings will continue”.

I disagree with your assessment of the fundamental problems that US citizens face.  The problem is not Christianity, the problem is not too many people not believing in a god, the problem is not laziness of US citizens.

We have a ruling class that has become powerful enough to essentially enslave anyone who is not a millionaire.  The propaganda that we are subjected to engulfs a high enough percentage of the US population that the rest of us are powerless to fight back.  The propaganda is RELENTLESS.  On MOA, it is easy enough to ignore Gruff’s TDS references – let’s destroy America by dividing it up into pieces.  But in the US MSM, when almost every article is 90% Gruff calls to destroy America from within, and 10% content, then Gruff’s intention of destroying the US from within is realized.

These techniques work pretty much all over the world.  It is why in the Middle East and Africa, wherever we go, armed conflict and lots of violence results.  Iran needed to work HARD to defeat the latest of many attempts by US intelligence (with Israeli assistance, though Israel takes credit for it) to overthrow the nation from within.  US intelligence WAS able to recently overthrow the government of Nepal.

In the US, recently as you may recall, there have been a bunch of emails describing how US leading politicians and leading “Job Creators” rape and murder children trafficked from all over the world, with an emphasis on the Russian “Shark Meat” – 10 year old Russian girls that are abducted to the US to be raped, killed, and fed to sharks.  Religious groups are not calling for prosecuting these people, political groups except for the far right and far left are not calling for prosecuting these people, business groups are not calling for prosecuting these people.  Why not?  You Tube demonetizes and delists content creators that talk about these activities as if our top job creators were doing something wrong.  People with “Free Palestine” signs lose their jobs.  News casters that do not tow the line on “sensitive topics” become something else other than a news caster.  People that complain about the rights of our job creators to torture, rape, and kill 10 year old children end up having to FAFO.

The US will likely be a poverty stricken 3rd world nation in a decade or so.  We are crumbling from within.  Our job creators will continue their activities from some other nation (Argentina?).  Our job creators have studied psychology and sociology (“useless degrees”), and use various effective tactics to control populations.  The problems that the US faces has nothing to do with “souls” or “lack of souls”.  They have everything to do with the fact that psychology and sociology techniques work quite well actually.

I am wrong again.

China actually first began a ‘ban’ on certain ‘rare earths’ back in 2023 – soon after the beginning of the holocaust of Palestine by The Jewish State.

China basically provides for the global war machine-economy and it always makes a point to say in its various missives that it won’t do anything to seriously disrupt this arrangement.

IDF unveils new tank division, marking shift from defense to offense

https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/defense-news/article-886212

These people are committing a holocaust while on defense.

I can’t imagine what the offense is going to look like.

This is all dependent on China and China is in a pickle in that it can’t do anything to disrupt the global market without seriously hurting itself because it didn’t follow a USSR-type trajectory rather it is, like modern Russia, capitalist-lite.

‘Based on the provided search results, there is no direct evidence confirming that Merkava tanks specifically use Chinese rare earth materials.

However, the results show that China controls approximately 90% of the global processing of rare earth elements, which are essential for advanced military technologies.

While the Merkava is primarily manufactured in Israel, the pervasive nature of Chinese-processed rare earths in modern, high-tech military hardware suggests a high likelihood of reliance on these supply chains, similar to other Western-aligned military equipment.’

Dostoyevsky died in February 9, 1881
Tolstoy died in 20 November  1910
February revolution started in 1917, then came the October Revolution. Tsar was killed in July, 1918.
Neither Tolstoy, nor Dostoyevsky knew anything other than Tsarist Russia.

Attack the cat’s head, not its paws, especially if the poor animal is infected with a mind virus. One of the easier ways to do that is get another human to cast a wide canvas bag over and get the cat into the sack. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Whitaker said that the US expects “Europe to take over the conventional defense of the European continent” so that Washington can move its forces to the Pacific. The US envoy to NATO noted that while the “United States is not receding or going away,” it wants European countries to “take on more leadership in the alliance.”
A day earlier, Whitaker likened the bloc’s European member states to children, who must leave parental care and get a job at last. While lauding allies for committing to spending 5% of their respective GDP on defense last year, he suggested that European nations are being too slow in turning this money into actual military capabilities.

On Tuesday, NATO announced that the US would be handing over some of the bloc’s commands to European allies. In the coming years, the UK will take over Joint Force Command Norfolk, with Italy becoming responsible for Joint Force Command Naples. Germany and Poland will lead Joint Force Command Brunssum on a rotational basis.
Washington will retain Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), as well as being in charge of key land, air and maritime capabilities.

Judging by the new publication of The Times titled “Russia earned 239 billion pounds sterling on oil tankers in the English Channel”, Britain wants to return to its old business, on which it once got rich: pirate seizures of foreign ships and subsequent sale of the loot.
Earlier in early January, the US, with the support of Britain, seized the Mariner tanker, which was under the Russian flag, in international waters of the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean.

After reading the whole interview (I am citing selected quotes below) I propose a new psychological disorder called Minsk-N-aitys attacking Capitalism-lust-makes-mad Russian ruling class. For the Nth time they are acting and appearing as fools – fool me once, fool me N times.
I think, in general, Russian ruling class behaviour converges with that of the european vassals:
Please USA don’t rape us, we love you, please allow us to come up the capitalist chain, we worked hard for it, we betrayed our people’s interests just to join the Capitalist Club. All these Privatisations, all the sell-out of Peoples property, we let you loot it. And now you don’t let us in. Please USA, play FAIR! We did all you asked us. Is this not enough to join the Capitalist Club?”
From the Lavrov interview via the source provided, I think these are equally important points:
They tell us that the Ukraine problem should be resolved. In Anchorage, we accepted the US proposal. If we regard it “as men,” it means that they proposed it and we agreed, so the problem must be resolved.
… So far, the reality is quite the opposite: new sanctions are imposed, a ‘war’ against tankers in the open sea is being waged in violation of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. They are trying to ban India and our other partners from buying cheap, affordable Russian energy resources (Europe has long been banned) and are forcing them to buy US LNG at exorbitant prices. This means that the Americans have set themselves the task of achieving economic domination.
… incompatible with fair competition
… Furthermore, while they ostensibly made a proposal regarding Ukraine and we were ready to accept it (now they are not), we do not see any bright future in the economic sphere either.” /end selected quotes

A brief explanation:

“. . .  the volcanic eruption of American imperialism was foreseen long ago—with remarkable precision—by Trotsky and by the movement he founded. As far back as 1928, writing in the aftermath of the postwar boom and on the eve of the Great Depression, Trotsky warned:
In the period of crisis the hegemony of the United States will operate more completely, more openly, and more ruthlessly than in the period of boom. The United States will seek to overcome and extricate herself from her difficulties and maladies primarily at the expense of Europe, regardless of whether this occurs in Asia, Canada, South America, Australia, or Europe itself, or whether this takes place peacefully or through war.

The United States must ‘organize’ the world. History is bringing humanity face to face with the volcanic eruption of American imperialism.” That phrase—the volcanic eruption of American imperialism—is not a metaphor that has aged. It is a scientific prognosis that is being fulfilled.

What is the fundamental cause of the crisis? It is not, as bourgeois commentators endlessly suggest, a failure of leadership, a deficit of civility, or a breakdown of democratic norms. These are symptoms. The cause is structural and systemic: the irreconcilable contradiction between the private ownership of the means of production and the increasingly social character of the process of production itself. This is the central contradiction identified by Marx, and its operation in the present epoch has reached an intensity without historical precedent.”
