— When you look at footage of Operation True Promise-2 as opposed to Iran’s operations during the 12-Day War, it’s clear why preemptive strikes are so important. 
 
During True Promise-2, Iran had the initiative, we attacked from multiple missile bases that were fully operational and when Israel did not expect it. As a result, at least 50 missiles hit their targets in one wave. Unfortunately Iran didn’t target Tel Aviv metropolitan area during that operation, it would’ve been very effective. 
 
Anyway, during the 12-Day War, Iranian missile bases were heavily suppressed, which led to a lesser volume of missiles being launched simultaneously and therefore less hits in each wave due to easier interceptions. 
 
In my opinion it’s a waste of missiles to wait for the enemy to attack first. Iran’s missiles provide their primary advantage when used in an offensive context, when Iran is the attacker—not the attacked.

US President Donald Trump has plans to establish a large military base in the Gaza Strip aimed at serving as the “military operating base” for international troops, The Guardian reported on 19 February.
 
These troops are at some point supposed to be deployed to the enclave as envisioned in Washington’s ‘peace plan.’ 
 
The report, citing documents from Trump’s ‘Board of Peace,’ said the plans include “the phased construction of a military outpost that will eventually have a footprint of 1,400 meters by 1,100 meters, ringed by 26 trailer-mounted armored watch towers, a small arms range, bunkers, and a warehouse for military equipment for operations,” adding that the whole site will be surrounded by barbed wire. 
 
It is planned to be constructed in southern Gaza. “A small group of bidders – international construction companies with experience in war zones – have already been shown the area in a site visit,” a source close to the planning told The Guardian. 
 
The contracting document for the base was issued by the Trump-led board for Gaza, an informed source is cited as saying. […]
 
“Whose permission did they get to build that military base?” Palestinian–Canadian lawyer Diana Buttu said. 
 
US military officials referred The Guardian’s questions to the ‘Board of Peace.’ A US official refused to discuss the plans for the base. “As the President has said, no US boots will be on the ground. We’re not going to discuss leaked documents.”
 
The report came as the first official ‘Board of Peace’ meeting kicked off. 
 
“We have a first year like probably no other ever in our country because we settled eight wars and I think a ninth to come. It’s turned out to be a tougher one. Board of Peace is one of the most important and consequential things I think that I’ll be involved in. We’ve been involved a lot and really I’ve been involved in a lot with the people up here. We work together with ending wars with their country,” Trump said while launching the event, ignoring over 600 Palestinian deaths since his plan went into effect.

Meanwhile, a new report by The Telegraph reveals Washington is planning to enlist gangs and criminal organizations to serve as a local police force in Gaza.

The report says “the plan to recruit the new police force from the clans emerged before Christmas, prompting disagreement at the multi-national new Civil-Military Coordination Centre in southern Israel.” Some US Army officials opposed the idea.
 
“There was significant pushback along the lines of ‘this is ridiculous – they’re not only criminal gangs but they’re sponsored by Israel,’” a western source said. 
 
Another source said Trump’s plan “will not work without reliable security partners.” 
 
Throughout the war and genocide, these gangs received support from Israel. They are also linked to and unofficially backed by the Palestinian Authority (PA), as well as some Arab states.

Someone finally points out the obvious:
 

We have a real problem brewing with the “Board of Peace” and it needs much more attention.
 
1) There is no legal entity for “Board of Peace” organized under the laws of any country, meaning it is subject to NO country’s laws.
 
2) Trump is acting like the US is party to it as a treaty organization, but only Congress has the power to do approve that.
 
3) BoP is collecting and distributing funds (JP Morgan playing as banker) but this must be in violation of Know-Your-Customer laws since BoP *doesn’t exist*. It is a transnational mafia backed only by the executive power of its members.
 
4) Since BoP doesn’t exist, USPTO is illegally holding its trademarks on its behalf, violating the Lanham Act, which requires that holders intend to use marks in commerce.
 
5) Trump signed Executive Order 14375 protecting BoP under the International Organizations Immunity Act, but this merely protects from interference, it does not legitimize or establish the organization.
 
6) Trump is saying he intends to use it to “oversee” the United Nations. There is no provision in the UN charter for any such oversight organization; what he means is that he is going to extort the UN by withholding US dues.
 
This thing needs to be challenged legally and practically. If it is not stopped it will quickly evolve into a world takeover mechanism, and indeed it is already usurping US sovereignty as well as sovereignty in Gaza and of participant countries.
 
Seriously, this is no joke and intervention is necessary NOW. The illegal trademarks are one pathway in. There are others. But whatever you do don’t brush this off as one of Trump’s follies. It’s anything but.

The US State Department will begin providing on-site consular services to Israeli settlers in West Bank settlements for the first time, according to a statement released on Tuesday by the US embassy in Jerusalem.
 
“Consular officers will be providing routine passport services in Efrat on Friday, February 27,” the embassy said, referring to an Israeli settlement south of the city of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.
 
The embassy added that it planned to launch similar on-site services in several Israeli cities, the West Bank city of Ramallah and the settlement of Beitar Illit near Bethlehem. Settlements in the occupied West Bank are illegal under international law. 
 
The announcement marks the first time the US State Department has publicly offered to provide consular services directly to settlers living in the occupied West Bank.
 
The US embassy’s announcement comes on the heels of an inflammatory interview by podcast host Tucker Carlson with US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.
 
Huckabee provoked a furious response from the US’s Arab and Muslim partners when he said he would be “fine” if Israel took over a large swath of the Middle East, including Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Egypt.
 
That remark drew most of the media attention, but the US’s top diplomat to Israel also claimed that a wide swath of the occupied West Bank was part of Israel.
 
“These are Israelis who live in Israel. Area C is Israel,” he told Carlson.
 
Israel is also ramping up efforts to cement its control of the occupied West Bank.
 
In February, the Israeli government approved a plan for Israel to make and enforce decisions on civilian matters in Areas A and B of the occupied West Bank, directly undermining Palestinian Authority (PA) control.
 
‘Under Israeli sovereignty’
 
The occupied West Bank was carved into Areas A, B and C during the 1990s Oslo Accords, which established the PA out of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation.
 
The PA was supposed to exercise full control of Area A and limited control of Area B, while Area C would remain under Israeli military occupation until the signing of a final peace agreement.
 
In reality, Israeli settlements have mushroomed in Area C, and the Israeli government is ramping up efforts to control Areas A and B.
 
Contrary to US policy, ambassador Huckabee says West Bank’s Area C ‘is Israel’
 
Huckabee’s statement is a glaring contradiction of official US policy, which does not recognise any Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank. […]

The US embassy’s decision to extend consular services to Israeli citizens living illegally in the occupied West Bank is a move analysts would look towards to see if the US was treating the territory as part of Israel.
 
Officially, the US has refrained from recognising a Palestinian state until there is a final agreement to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
 
For decades, Republican and Democratic administrations called for a two-state solution to the conflict, although the Trump administration has not raised the issue.
 
Khaled Elgindy, a senior research fellow in the Middle East programme at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, told MEE that in reality, the US was merely paying lip service to the premise of a Palestinian state.
 
“They are already treating the entirety of the West Bank as though it were under Israeli sovereignty,” he said. “We have already crossed over from de facto to de jure annexation,” he told MEE for a previous article.
 
Roughly 400,000 Israeli settlers live in Area C, where they enjoy access to services and political representation that Palestinians are deprived of, creating what critics say is an apartheid state.
