The revelations have sent shockwaves through the diplomatic community and led to the resignation of Rod-Larsen’s wife, Mona Juul – herself a pivotal figure in the Oslo negotiations – from her post as Norway’s ambassador to Jordan and Iraq this month. Her security clearance was also revoked.
 
Palestinian leaders are now questioning whether Oslo’s foundational agreements of the two-state solution were brokered by a mediator vulnerable to elite blackmail and foreign intelligence pressure.

The plan was heralded in the Western world at the time, and in the 30 years since, has been trampled on by successive Israeli governments, with the far-right leadership now openly pushing for annexation of the occupied West Bank.

From the BBC: “Palestine Action ban ruled unlawful”. The High Court ruled that PA’s criminal acts don’t cross the very high bar to make it a terrorist organisation. And the Israel-first government knew all that before they proscribed PA. At least our courts are still sometimes capable of independent thought. However, the proscription remains in place in case there is an appeal by the government.

On Sunday in Gaza, 67 members of the Abu Nasser family were finally recovered from beneath the rubble of their home. For 474 days, their bodies lay trapped under the remains of a five-story building destroyed in the terrorist Israeli strike of October 29, 2024, an attack that killed more than 200 people in a single day. 
 
Notes:
1- There were no Red Cross teams or emergency vehicles present to assist in the recovery.
2- Only one excavator was available to dig through the massive destruction left behind. The process was slow, painful, and carried out largely by local civil defense workers and grieving relatives.
3- More than 40% of those recovered were children.
4- Despite the scale of the tragedy and the extraordinary delay in recovering the victims, no major Western mainstream media outlets reported on the recovery.
 
For the families in Gaza, this was not breaking news; it was the continuation of a loss that never ended.

I am constantly amazed by the really stupid, fatuous idiocies that various “world leaders” say right out loud.   How in the hell did these cretins come to such power?  How can anyone listen to them and keep a straight face?  It’s all such unmitigated bullshit. 
 
In France, the magistrates have issued warrants for four French-Israeli nationals for their participation in genocide in Gaza.  Two are women who tried to stop humanitarian aid from entering the Strip.  They are part of the Israeli far-right (*) groups that are dedicated to stopping any aid deliveries by any means necessary.  There are up to ten more people who may also be named later for interfering with aid trucks.  The two women named so far claim that they were “peacefully protesting at the border”. 
 
(* I guess that phrasing is redundant – if they are Israeli, they are ipso-facto far right.)
 
Two others under current warrant are French-Israeli soldiers, who are accused of killing several dozen unarmed Palestinian civilians outside combat areas in 2023 and 2024.  Does this mean that if they killed unarmed Palestinians inside combat areas they are not guilty of murder or participating in genocide?   And what is a combat area?  Israel kills everyone near or inside schools, mosques, hospitals, homes, tents, and decides new combat areas every day of the week.  You see the problem.
 
Anyway, Macron is offended that any French person could possibly be accused of being genocidal.  He is stunned that the magistrates in his own country should cross this line and accuse them of such things.  They cannot be genociders or be aiding and abetting genocide … because they are French.  Macron sees this as patently obvious, even if the courts do not.

Trump and his advisors need to watch the movie Midway from 2019.
 
In that battle US aircraft were oc=ver matched.  Japanese set the state of the art for defending ships from air attack.  Bombing was not accurate and US torpedoes misfired 80% of the shots.  Torpedo Sq 8 was entirely shot down one pilot survivng the day,.
 
Yet 4 Japanese carriers were sunk!
 
US will have 3 targets also known as nuclear carriers in about 10 days, all safe, hiding out of range!
