Moon of Alabama Brecht quote
February 23, 2026
Lunatic Voice Of The Day

The prize for the most lunatic, unhinged voice of the day was awarded to Simon Tisdall’s Guardian column:

Little Marco (as Trump calls him) is confused. Trumpism is all about recreating yesterday, about fantasies of “the good old days”. Putin suffers similar delusions. The war is part of his revanchist project to make Russia great again, to rebuild the Soviet sphere. Likewise, Xi Jinping, China’s leader, is attempting his own great leap backwards, by accumulating dictatorial powers to an extent unseen since Mao Zedong.

The open-minded, freedom-loving rainbow Europe of democracy and the rule of law is a living rebuke to these lumbering Frankenstein’s retro-monsters and their hard-right emulators. They revile and fear it. Like Ukraine, it stands in their way.

Here’s what must be done: deploy troops from a European “coalition of the willing” to secure and defend Kyiv and other unoccupied cities; Russia cannot be allowed a veto. Enforce a no-fly exclusion zone, as I have repeatedly urged. Surge defensive missiles and drones. Beach Russia’s shadow fleet. Step up covert “active measures”, including cyber and sabotage, to counter Kremlin hybrid warfare. Seize assets, expel spies, expose lies, change the narrative. Europe must demand an immediate ceasefire, followed by phased Russian withdrawals, and assume a lead role in any final settlement talks.

Short question on your plan of action, Simon. With what?

It’s ready to read, Russia Counterattacks: Putin’s 24 February 2022 Speech to Russia–Censored Globally. Yes, I added some commentary at the end. I consider it very important to read it after the two events on 21 February which provide critical context. I’m sure Western BigLie Media will crow tomorrow the same Narrative it’s been spewing for most of the last four years. It’s clear from the historical context that Russia’s move four years ago was the counterattack I posit it as, and it was the only rational move to make, again given the context. Certain questions like why did Russia wait so long are now moot, although they have some merit. Now to view some podcasts.

A series of nuclear strikes on European NATO countries (even with tactical nukes in sufficient numbers and Russia has thousands of them) is to allow their past colonial subjects to takeover those countries.

A depleted Europe with a collapsed stock market, banking system, devastated cities, tens or hundreds of millions dead is a prime target of African, Asian and Latin American armies and groups. Despite the nuclear waste, they will still have fertile women, accumulated wealth, resources, etc. – attractive to their new rulers. Except for Nordic countries with poor climate like Russia.

It is this eventuality that Europe fears most. Europe shivers when a thousand migrants come. Just imagine millions flooding Europe with guns in hand backed by large militaries. Surrendering is the only viable option.

For this reason Russia should not use bioweapons on Europe. Nukes are the preferred option. Economic nerve centers and population centers should be the targets.

Are European war mongers ready?

(excerpt)…..,Simon Tisdall was once my boss at the Guardian. Either I’ve changed a lot since I left the paper more than a decade ago (undoubtedly true!), or he’s subsequently become nothing more than a mouthpiece for the US-Israeli security establishments (and there’s plenty of evidence for that!).…..

I think you are accusing Tisdda[[ and the Guardian (of what?) as being a US-Zionist Bongo front. Shame on you Sir.
But having read enough of Simon’s Russo-pphobic  drivel   and watched the demise of the Guardian over the past decade (at least), I am now in full agreement with you. He is a gold card carrying BONGO!!

Many of us Westerners here are not callous, cold-hearted or indifferent to Russian casualties, but we recognise that the blame ultimately lies with the Western political elites who contrived the whole mess.

Posted by: Jeremy Rhymings-Lang | Feb 23 2026 21:12 utc | 95

The elites? Well, last time, the Germans and their opponents blamed Führer Adolf Hitler.
The problem with this calculation is that the elite do not work, do not fight, do not execute and implement, do not personally exercise repression and do not turn problems from thoughts into reality. Elite is also a euphemism for maggots in bacon.
Should (can) one ask the founder of Facebook for creative advice when problems arise, or the developer who was robbed?
If you blame an elite for problems, bear in mind that your portrayal legitimises the existence of an ‘elite’, even if there is dissatisfaction with the exercise of power. The example of Germany also shows that history does not repeat itself, but that problems that are not solved remain. Applied to the elite concept, this means that you are approaching a solution to a problem when your criticism approaches the source. As long as this does not happen, you are a better-informed part of the system that finds the courage to criticise the elite, but does not allow this to lead to a realisation that declares the elite concept obsolete.
Western social systems disenfranchise 99% of society in order to concentrate power in the hands of 1%. This is the product of the will of the 99%, whether active or passive.
Let’s be honest, how long have our leaders been committing crimes? Only since 2022? Did you apologise to the Afghans too?

No, you don’t sound cold-hearted, just artificially sympathetic.

USS Gerald R. Ford Crew Discontent Emerges as Trump Repositions Dual Carrier Strike Groups Toward Iran Showdown

(Excerpt)……
The mounting reports of crew discontent aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) surface at a moment when U.S. carrier strike groups are being repositioned under President Donald Trump’s directive toward West Asia, compressing operational tempo and intensifying global scrutiny over whether extended deployments are eroding the combat sustainability of America’s most powerful maritime assets.

Western media accounts cited in regional reporting describe a growing wave of dissatisfaction among sailors following repeated mission extensions, with one anonymous crew member stating, “The personnel are extremely angry; some have openly stated that they will leave the service as soon as they return home,” a declaration that, if accurate, directly intersects with U.S. Navy retention metrics and long-term force generation models…….

About the carrier “shit storm” if true

If it is a genuine maintenance problem then it tells a sorry tale of US naval construction competence. After all ships have been sailing for a very long time and while the sailors once went to the back to relieve themselves there has been good plumbing since well before the Titanic.  So maintenance issue tells us of serious underlying problems

If it is indeed sabotage then that also is a very serious concern for the Navy

A third possibility (in some ways the most serious, is that the sailors are untrained in what to put down the loo, or are just negligent and careless. If this is the case then they will be careless about their military duties too,

To the question if the shit problem on the USS Ford is designed in or human caused and the implications
About the ship

Gerald R. Ford was delivered to the Navy on 31 May 2017[6] and formally commissioned by President Donald Trump on 22 July 2017.[7][22][23] She departed Naval Station Norfolk on her first deployment on 2 May 2023.[24] As of February 2026, she is the world’s largest aircraft carrier and the largest warship ever constructed.

If the shit problem is human caused I expect bad things.  Trump has been intense about ending the DEI in the military and it would not surprise me if it isn’t blamed on DEI and even more scary is that Trump would maybe be even more inclined to put those sailors at risk with and Iran attack…because he is a demented Daddy.

I hope to be wrong but having the Iran bully stopped by DEI problems in the US navy screams out for a Trump crazy response.

Has our species risen above barbaric animal behavior?

So much of international relations is totally fake, particularly where America is concerned. Since Trump got back in, there has been a weird (to me) and awkward game going on between the US and the Commonwealth.

Trump talks about annexing some of Canada, and Canada, with London’s approval, starts selling oil to China, and agrees to allow the import of Chinese EVs that America would never allow to compete with the US automotive industry.

Meanwhile, every time anything needs to be done for Israel, the UK and America are like best friends.

Then we get this hokey stuff about the UK not allowing the US to use UK bases re: Iran.

As usual, until stuff happens, then and only then will we really understand the relationship.

Maybe not that stupid theory. Emmanuel Todd (probably the smartest guy in any room he may walk in) has theorized the same (in his typical humble “maybe” way).

Since Trump is a typical bully (coward and sadist), he may use the bully’s typical method : push someone else to fight instead of doing the fight himself. Hence, pushing, motivating and over-extending the Izzies into a final fight where they get destroyed by their neighbours or the regional powers (Iran, Turkey).

Without the Izzies sucking their blood, America can be great again (after they end the FED of course).

Beware of Turkey (number 2 Nato army), very quiet lately, and with a history of domination (Ottoman).

QUESTION:
“Is this an article by the MainStreamMedia aligned with the woke faction of the Western Zionist Anglo-USAmerican GENOCIDAL TERRORIST NAZI empire, or is this just a copy & paste of a CIA newsletter repeated by an Mi6 agent pretending to be a “journalist” of the “free” press”?

ANSWER:
Yes.

There you have it. It sounds lunatic and unhinged, because this guy receives money to repeat lunatic and unhinged propaganda.
The Guardian directs the empire’s propaganda to its target audience: english progressives.
The exact same words can be read in rhe NewYorkTimes and others aligned with this faction aka run by the CIA/Mossad/Mi6 in order to brainwash this part of the population.

Some very similar words can be read on the other side (the MSM of the other faction), but instead of presenting the “rainbow”, they use words like “bible” or “family” to convince their target audience (conservatives) to commit genocide and consent to all wars “against islamic terrorists”, or “against narco-terrorist”, or “against commies”.

It’s tue exact same sh*t, but served in several different plates, depending on the target audience.

One side makes Obama/Biden look like Satan. The other side makes Bush/Trump look like Satan.
But both sides are satanist.
And both target audiences are brainwashed into thinking that the satanists on their side are “the good guys”.

This is how that think called “Western Democracy” works nowadays.

Mankind needs an army of Aaron Bushnells, that instead of burning themselves, burn Washington DC and London and Brussels and Telaviv to the ground, and hang all those fascist nazi terrorist corrupt genocidal imperialist elites/oligarchs/billionaires.

That’s how we can save the West from itself. That’s how we can save millions of lives worldwide. That’s how we can avoid this hybrid World War 3 from escalating even more.
Votes change nothing in such regimes. Votes only serve to prolong (and aggravate) the problem, by giving APPARENT legitimacy to those western regimes that are criminal and totally ilegitimate and anti-human.

That’s the West’s main ideology. It’s not Conservative nor Progressive, nor Right wing nor (definitely not) Left wing. It’s fascist and nazi and woke and evangelical and zionist and colonial and racist and snob and corrupt and warmonger and many more had things. In only one word, it’s ANTI-HUMAN.

That’s what happens when you guys vote for parties/candidates that are pro-NATO, pro-EU, pro-USA, pro-israel, pro-Atlanticism, pro-IMF, pro-Microsoft, pro-Apple, pro-Amazon, pro-CocaCola, pro-Netflix, pro-Google, pro-Raytheon, pro-Lockeed, pro-Pfizer, pro-zionist (be they Jews, Evangelicals, or any other bullsh*t), pro-Ukraine, pro-coups in Venezuela and Iran etc.

When you vote for those guys, instead of organizing a revolution, you are giving legitimacy to ANTI-HUMANS. You are not helping democracy. You are giving the green light for the suffering/extermination of millions of people all over the world.

In the end, I must conclude with this ugly truth: you guys, that vote for those guys, are as lunatic and unhinged and criminal, as those guys in Nazi Germany that also though they were just “normal people” doing what was “needed” to “save” their country.
No.
What you are in fact is this: ACCOMPLICES in systemic violations of human rights.
When you put that cross on a papper, it’s as if you were turning the gas inside those chambers… or putting those bullets inside Palestinian children.

In prison cells in the US there are no garbage pails.  Everything gets flushed down the toilet.  I guess the designers of the latest carriers forgot that one. Obviously they cannot manage shit.
In prisons there are inline grinders in the sewer lines that chew everything up.  Its required in California as well for septic systems.

Gerald R Ford SABOTAGED

Plumbing system full of t shirts towels tampons and other shit. (And actual shit?) Mission derailed. Iran attack delayed.
Q: internet: Who would do this?
A: (from the internet ) best responses only:

SS GerryFord on its first real cruise is already uninhabitable and combat ineffective due to poor plumbing designs
If it goes back to the Navy Yard the contractor companies will have to repair it at cost.
Therefore = the crew realise they are about to become the USS Liberty 2.0

> Saboteur bros need to step up their game. One sailor set USS Bonhomme on fire and it became scrap metal.

> Ford and Bush both have a vacuum based toliet system to save water.
This is not new and has been a issue for years since they started sailing.
The system has been requiring more maintenance to deal with clogs.
Items not meant to be flushed have always been turning up since the beginning.

600 toilets divided into 10 zones.
Each zone controlled by a single valve connected to a high pressure system.
If the valve fails, all the toilets in that zone go down.
The crew moral is such that technicians are now finding foreign objects like clothing inside the system.

There’s *always* a party “””pooper”””

No gallium wouldn’t literally stop all new F-35 airframes from being built, but it would cripple the production and upgrade of their defining advanced radars, rendering many “new” jets far less capable or delaying them significantly.
This, in turn, would be a good option for cancellations, but unfortunately the current lobby slaves in the government’s galaxy of corruption are complete cowards.

Russia is absolutely serious about this war. A fact that the West – including you – obviously do not understand.
Russia allowing Ukraine to possess nuclear weapons would indeed be an admission of defeat. Which will only come after Russia has been defeated.Which is not the case, as of yet. Russia would wipe Ukraine off the map first. Including its nuclear weapons. And quite possibly the new headquarters that GB has just created for its continued war against Russia as well.
If the West manages to hit Russia with nuclear bombs, then Russia will go nuclear as well. And it just warned GB and France that the fallout will hit them as well.

“Martina, look like this: what if tomorrow Ukraine announces that it possess nuclear weapons? How would Russia respond to that? ”
Jumping ahead of Martina, I expect this was considered years ago. Probably, Russia would give Kiev a 24 hour ultimatum: give up the nukes or face immediate and total destruction. EU (UK and France) would also be warned not to interfere or face the same. The US would do nothing in such a scenario.

In principle Ukraine having nukes doesn’t actually change all that much, with one caveat I will get to.

So let’s say Ukraine nukes Moscow, what happens then? All the Russian arsenal is launched towards Europe and the US. Thus presumably Ukraine will not nuke Moscow.

Meanwhile Russia was never going to nuke Ukraine anyway, because it’s its own land and people, thus Ukraine never needed nukes to defend against a Russian nuclear attack, and will still not need them for that purpose.

And the winning move for Russia always was to nuke Europe and cut Ukraine off supplies that way. It remains the winning move — Russia nukes Europe, moves in with ground forces to occupy the depopulated territories, all the way to the Atlantic, Ukraine is finished quickly without any support.

But here is the caveat — the threshold for doing that was in fact passed a very long time ago, in early 2023, when German tanks were again sent to kill Russians on Russian land. And the nukes need not be used to strike Moscow, but in a tactical role. So given the absolute imbeciles and traitors that are in the Kremlin now I can easily imagine them accepting the use of tactical nukes on the battlefield, which battlefield now stretches from Lvov to Perm, in case people have forgotten, and not doing anything to solve the problem.

Peskov’s statements from the last couple hours are extremely concerning in that regard.

1) A competent leadership does not allow a situation that was once entirely in its control and power to resolve in its own favor to develop to this point.

2) Nuking the shit out of everything in Europe that threatens them was exactly what the Soviet battle plan was for such a situation. It’s what the RSD-10s (the predecessor of the Oreshnik) were for

They have to prevent the transfer itself. Meaning the borders have to be sealed immediately, with all kinetic means available. Issuing statements is meaningless.

Whatever they are doing there, they are all heroes. Possibly I generalized too much in my original comment, I know many western people are adequate and decent, and I am grateful many support us. We have been attacked before, you are right about that, and many times. This comment section is a complicated place to discuss and I still did not master the format. But I want it to stop. I want to live, I want my family to live. And I want everyone to come back, alive. I want the tasks to be completed, no doubt, but I am concerned with how things are developing.

Russia will be forced to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine, as well as Britain and France, if their nuclear technology is transferred to Kyiv, Medvedev said in response to a question from RT.

It’s clear that it will have to be done. I’d like some specifics, when exactly will it have to be done?-When will the secret bomb blueprints be handed over to Ukraine? -When will 49.67% of the components needed to assemble the special warhead be handed over? -When will the entire bomb cross the Ukrainian border ?-When will they accumulate a dozen of them? -Whenwill the bombs be strapped to the Flamingos? -When will the first bomb fall on Kursk? -When will the second one fall on Moscow? When exactly will it have to be done? There were plenty of reasons to use nuclear weapons over the years of the Second World War, both in Ukraine and in France, completely in accordance with all our doctrines and rules, but for some reason we decided to wait until nuclear weapons appeared in Ukraine.Yes, of course they will appear. What’s stopping that? And when they appear, it will be too late to use anything. In short. I hereby report. The bombs are hidden here. Second door on the left. Give me everything you’ve got.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2026/02/24/russian-soldiers-killed-faster-than-kremlin-can-recruit/
I offer the above as a grand example of how lying UK propaganda works.
Overall, it’s a grab bag or shotgun blast of whatever they can dig up or assert without further references. It doesn’t even appear to be a consistent narrative – Russia is quickly losing soldiers and can’t replace them – but then asks how much longer they can keep up the replacements that apparently are happening.  Russia loses 3 tanks or aircraft for each Ukrainian one?  Exactly three? Says who? Ukraine?   Russia is losing…..so we must keep supporting Ukraine ( why, if they are losing?).
No word about busification. No word about Ukraine having the lowest birthrate on earth ( as credibly estimated). So, Russians might turn down huge payments to join up?  While Ukrainians desperately fight kidnappers in the streets?   The key to lying Western propaganda is the UTTER LACK OF CONTRAST on the subject in comparing Ukraine’s plight with that of Russia. Or when they attempt to do so (3 to 1, really?) it isn’t credible.
