Duplicate Propaganda For War On Iran

Propaganda usually works in a drip-drip-drip fashion. Small stories are launched each other day spreading the similar talking points over and over again

But today, due to some mix up, two of the major propaganda outlets, the New York Times and the Washington Post, launched very similar propaganda stories on the very same day.

Rage. Grief. Anxiety. The New Mood in Iran.NY Times
Popular anger burns in Iran after crackdown, as Trump turns up pressureWashington Post

The first story (archived), was written in New York. The second story (archived), was reported from Dubai.

The stories are about the aftermath of the recent CIA sponsored riots in Iran.

Both stories quote the same U.S. government financed Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) in Fairfax, VA, with unverifiable numbers of alleged casualties.

The NY Times:

Rights groups like U.S.-based HRANA say at least 7,000 protesters were killed and the numbers are expected to rise as more deaths are verified.

The Washington Post:

The government crackdown left more than 7,000 people dead, more than 6,500 of them protesters, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency, a U.S.-based advocacy organization for rights in Iran.

Both outlets claim that people are enraged about the government which had managed to shut the riots down.

Both start with telling similar themed “sob-stories” of anonymous people from ‘everyday life’:

NYT:

Mariam, a 54-year-old designer, said she panics whenever her teenage son leaves the house because he had friends and classmates who were shot and killed in the protests.

“The truth is that we are feeling extremely not well,” she said. “I have never experienced this kind of collective grief and instability. We don’t know what will happen in the next hour.” Like many people interviewed for this article, Mariam asked to be identified by only her first name for fear of retribution.

WaPo:

A 45-year old woman from Rasht, near Iran’s Caspian Sea coast, said security forces showed up at her niece’s school and strip-searched students for wounds sustained at protests from the less-lethal pellet ammunition fired into crowds.

“Two girls fainted from the stress,” she said. Her niece hasn’t been back to the private school since, which the principal has allowed. But at some public schools, the woman from Rasht said, absences aren’t tolerated and students found with pellet wounds are expelled or arrested.

The sob-stories are then used to ‘explain’ and justify future violence against the state.

NYT:

Protests demanding the ouster of Iran’s authoritarian clerical rulers have ended. But many Iranians say that feelings of rage against the government and anxiety about the future permeate all aspects of life, and that nothing feels normal anymore.

WaPo:

In other parts of the country, popular anger is bubbling to the surface.

A woman from Bandar Abbas, on the Persian Gulf, who says she participated in the protests, said she saw security forces open fire into the crowds.

Before January she would not have understood why someone would want their own country to be attacked, she said, as the threat of U.S. strikes loomed. “But this time it is different,” she said, espousing a view long unpopular in Iran: “The real enemy is the Islamic Republic and any country or army that can weaken or attack them is going to liberate us.”

These spiked stories about Iran come as the U.S. military is preparing to wage war on the country.

The editors of both outlets had recently endorsed further U.S. measures against the people of Iran:

The United States has no right to wage war on Iran, or to have a say who governs the country. The opinion pages of the New York Times and Washington Post, however, are offering facile humanitarian arguments for the US to escalate its attacks on Iran. These are based on the nonsensical assumption that the US wants to help brighten Iranians’ futures.

In two editorials addressing the possibility of the US undertaking a bombing and shooting war on Iran, the Washington Post expressed no opposition to such policies and endorsed economic warfare as well.

It is a bit disappointing how ritualistic and boring propaganda like this has become.

Premptive War would be more likely to Succeed but would create a problem with being seen as “Aggressors” by the Europeans.

It’s not just you, it is a general theme I see of “if they attack first, they will be seen as aggressors”.
It does not matter what Iran actual does, ever. They will be painted as evil, baby eating monsters no matter what by the Western Lie Factories.

I suggested the simple way around that, for the non-West world perception, here> 76

“If attacking first ‘unprovoked’ is a problem, a simple diplomatic declaration that any further threats against Iran by the US will be met with an immediate full military response as above. Trump is such an ego driven narcissist fool that he would threaten them immediately, trying to look tough without even considering the ramifications.”

The answer is to know what wasn’t said/reported about Zionist terrorism after WW2 and during 1948, how the Zionists were framed as the Good and Palestinians who were having the lands and home stolen were the Bad, which is how it’s been framed ever since. And then there were popular books like Michner’s The Source that completely omitted the Zionist crimes and painted a pretty picture.

US will create a false flag, still attack first and blame Iran for starting it.

The only true thing that works with insane people is not only deterrence (foolproof air defense), but full annihilation capabilities. Meaning full annihilation capability of the entire US navy, air force and Israel, including its cities.

It’s a long term project, building up such capabilities.

Probably. Which is exactly why I think Iran needs to attack first while the US is not fully set up.

AND, the US attacked Iran in the “12 day” war. I did not see any ‘peace treaty’ or such that would indicate that war was permanently over. Iran would just be continuing that war.

What is the purpose of these two ‘stories’ from the leading print propaganda orgs in the US? Trump has sent a second aircraft carrier fleet to the Middle East while ‘negotiations’ are supposedly taking place with Iran. Other reporting on Trump’s threat to attack Iran have been about the US refraining from this threat, yet today finds the press stoking popular antagonism against Iran for its ICE-like treatment of protesters. A decapitation strike of Iran’s leadership has certainly been planned and may be impending.

With respect to the propaganda, it’s all just mental masturbation for themselves and to keep the money flowing to the journalist/propaganda class and keep the corruption going. Very few on the ground in the USA actually take these papers seriously anymore not the 14 year old teenager or the 80 year old grandmother, even the ignorant know all the media is bullshit. The NYTimes is dead I would take the rantings of a homeless/crazy person more seriously than the NYTimes.
The more interesting aspect of this as other posters have mentioned is that Trump has been maneuvered slowly and surely by Wiles and Rubio and other neocons onto his current losing position. I thought Putin would provide Trump an exit by convincing the Iranians to allow a token strike but it appears there is too much resistance from the Iranian government itself as well as the Russian military/defense and Chinese leadership so Putin in his usual pragmatic self has decided to back Iran for the time being and increase pressure on Ukraine which puts the USA in a tougher position. This is all bad news for Trump as the gulf monarchies which also kick in a lot of cash to Trump and family have also gotten cold feet both from the Iranian threat to strike them as well as the growing realization that they are next if Iran is taken out, Israel/USA want the whole region.
I believe Trump will go ahead with a limited strike anyway on Iran and propose to the Iranians that they can have a token response  and to just end it there for the time being, this will in the short term if successful satisfy the Israelis/neocons while also keeping the gulf monarchies on his side while not forcing the Russians and Chinese to act in any major way(heavy weapons support) for Iran. This counties the death by a thousand cuts strategy on Iran that has been in place for decades and kicks the can down the road until a more favorable time can be found a heavy handed strike when the Iranian regime is weaker/caught off guard.
If the above happens Trump/USA will be the big winners as well as the Gulf monarchies as they will most likely suffer little damage andPutin as he will not have to take a definite position. The big loser will be Iran as it further legitimizes more strikes on its territories without any real reaction and further delegitimizing the government, China will also be a secondary loser as any weakening of Iran will ultimately is a net negative for them.
I know Iran is out there saying they will unleash total war and close the straight of Hormuz, etc but I personally believe it is a bluff and it is about to be called by Trump as he will have no options. I don’t see the moves from Iran for a total war, although in the last 2 days I do some seriousness as I would expect them if they were serious about a total war if they are struck that they would have already closed the straight of Hormuz for a few days to show they are serious as well as demonstration of their anti ship missile capability as well as drone capability to establish deterrence.
I do see some reported activity but the activity would have to be much more in my opinion for the total complete war threat to be credible, after all if you were serious about it, wouldn’t you clearly demonstrate your capability especially the drone and anti ship capability as well as cruise missile capability, the ballistic missile capability is proven and I suspect that has the Israeli’s and gulf monarchies on edge so that part of the deterrent is credible but the former still remains to be proven.

Well said.  Russia had been trying to rebuild its navy but it is slow compared to China, but better than the USA.

Over the last 5 years China has constructed 51 larger naval vessels (excluding patrol boats and similar), Russia 35 and the US 22. Russia has put its emphasis on submarines and small corvettes, essentially for defensive inland waterways and the Caspian Sea.

It probably does NOT have much capacity to protect oil tankers other than by submarines, since its blue water surface navy fleet is small and  generally very old.

..
I don’t believe Trump gained much in Venezuela. Yes, he managed to spread victory propaganda without being firmly contradicted by the Venezuelan authorities. He killed people on boats, which is clearly illegal under all laws, including American ones.He succeeded in kidnapping the president. He also managed to steal some oil shipments. But that’s all; everything else is just lies The Venezuelan government is still the one elected with Maduro, led by the vice president. And incidentally, while the US has said it doesn’t recognize it, they are in talks with it and have appointed an ambassador, which is a de facto and de jure recognition. Venezuela amended its laws to encourage foreign investment to save its oil sector. These reforms were planned well before the president’s kidnapping. And Trump removed most of the barriers to the sector’s development. It’s the same compromise Maduro had been offering the US for years. So, in effect, he caved to Chavismo. The naval embargo on Venezuela, which actually targeted a few tankers with dubious registration, is being lifted, partially transferred to the Middle East. Trump spent billions, kidnapped a president, only to be forced to give in to Venezuela’s demands for greater access to its oil. Domestically, the Maduro trial is a headache for Trump, since he knows none of his accusations can be proven. His blockade of Cuba is backfiring on his popularity and cannot last; the humanitarian aspect is bound to outrage even his own base. In the end, this whole adventure is a failure, its only benefit being to divert attention from the Epstein affair. In return, he made his entire administration and the Pentagon war criminals and gave in to Chavismo after more than fifteen years of attempts at regime change. Venezuela, despite aid from China and Russia, couldn’t pull its economy, and especially its oil sector, out of the shadow caused by US sanctions. This is therefore a major victory for them, one that certainly came at a cost, but a price they are willing to pay. At this stage, I even wonder if Maduro hasn’t sacrificed himself for the greater good, in exchange for this PR deal for the lifting of sanctions.

Thanks for that perspective, Sebgo.

About 200 deaths (fishermen, presidential guard etc) is quite a low amount for a US intervention. If the positive elements of Chavismo can continue and Venezuela gets a reasonable price for its oil then maybe this is another Trump Professional Wrestling bout where there is a big spectacle, a putative winner, not many get hurt much and most of all, money flows.

I actually think Trump did gain a lot in Venezuela in my opinion for going forward in other conflicts and establishing a template going forward for reestablishing colonialism worldwide for conquering smaller nations. He showed he was a pragmatist and he doesn’t care what local idealism the government of a specific country decides to preach to its local populations as long as it will take orders from the USA on major issues/US interests. This is a big departure from decades of American policy that insisted on regime change which most often required boots on the ground and also required for the conquered government to follow a pro American line even with it’s own local population Ala Iraq/Afghanistan, etc.
Notice how he chucked Machado aside in favor of the already in power Delcy Rodriguez and he doesn’t care that Venezuela continues with Chavismo in all it’s glory as long as they take their orders from the USA. With Trump it’s not about ideology but business and power and this is a big shift and you can bet the “pragmatists” in the Cuban government are taking note as well as the “pragmatists” in Iran/Russia/China and other regions. I don’t believe this strategy will work with China as they have their own global ambitions and don’t feel in any big particular danger. I also don’t believe the strategy will work with the Iranians as they know deep down that even if they agreed to take orders from the USA , Israel would ultimately wipe out the leadership one by one to guarantee compliance so I don’t believe any of the current Iranian leadership will bite on the offer. It sure worked with Syria as Trump rolled out the red carpet with Al Jolani, this strategy I believe will work with the smaller countries, it is effective.
With respect to Russia, I suspect this is what is so attractive to Putin and the oligarchs in Russia, the perceived pragmatism they see in the Trump administration to perhaps strike a bargain on the basis of power and business and Putin ever the pragmatist can’t help but be hopeful to find a solution which doesn’t require the continued use of the Russian military.

A good analysis of the Venezuela situation in this book review at Michael Roberts blog
“….the writers in this book are at pains to argue that the collapse in Venezuela cannot be laid solely at the door of US imperialism and its sanctions. Despite the harm that the sanctions have wrought in Venezuela, the other major component was the economic mismanagement and neoliberal program of the increasingly authoritarian Maduro government.  Mainstream capitalist economists claim that the collapse of Venezuela was the result of socialism; while many on the left claim that the Maduro regime had to be defended as an example of socialism.  Both sides are wrong.  Bean and the other writers in this book do not accept that Chavez (and Maduro after him) had established a socialist economy, or even that Venezuela was on the ‘road to socialism’.
“As I argued in my own posts on Venezuela, Chavez’s relative success in improving the lot of most Venezuelans was founded on the boom in commodity prices during the 2000s. With the price of oil and natural gas high, even a modest increase in royalties and taxes created a huge influx in government revenues. This extra revenue enabled Chávez to increase social spending, create various distribution programs and improve the standard of living of the majority of Venezuelans….”

As long as Venezuela follows US orders on not shipping any oil to Cuba\China, etc as well as refrains from striking any major deals with third parties the US does not approve of is the US not achieving its major objectives? At the appropriate time in the future the US can always change the leadership once the target country becomes enmeshed in the US financial/military system.
It is already putting pressure on the Cuban government for the “pragmatists” to negotiate and stay in power and no doubt kick the Chinese/Russians out and follow major US orders, they can continue with the Castro/Revolution stuff all day long to their local populations all they want and stay in power, much as Rodriguez is currently doing in Venezuela.
I think some think because Trump didn’t do an Iraq/Afghanistan style invasion he has somehow lost when in fact the US has learned from the experience , the same deal offered to Rodriguez is one Saddam or the Taliban would have jumped at and agreed most likely prior to those invasions. I don’t believe Trump is the mastermind behind this strategy, it’s the elite power structures in the West who have come up with a new strategy on divide and conquer, rather an old strategy but the USA in it’s hubris after WW2 walked away from it with the belief of ideology and sheer dominance.

Iran’s real deterrence is Regime Change.

The Zionist King of Jordan and despised rulers of KSA and the Gulf states know this. As their Zionists masters and the Epstein Administration.

Those US bases are there to prevent the overthrow of those Regimes, take them out and thebwill rise up.

“Well if I was America, trump, I would not attack Iran. I would blockade her, using the Venezuela strategy. Nothing in, sea or air, nothing out / Posted by: Natalya Volkova | Feb 17 2026 18:26 utc | 49″

Blockade? That means no oil and gas out through Hormuz Strait. 20% of world oil consumption and 25% of LNG. Since “prices are set at the margin”, removing 20% of availability from the market would double or triple the price. That would be a oil shock earthquake exploding Western consumer. And finance companies.

So many US consumers are already at the “kill line” (one hit and they starve to death). Their car without affordable petrol would be the final hit. Trump would then hastily unblockade on his side while Iran would negotiate their side of the unblocking.

Good luck negotiating with the inventors of chess, while the US explodes into civil unrest, looting, red against blue, etc.

Posted by: Asian Frog | Feb 18 2026 0:02 utc | 116

I don’t believe a blockage strategy against Iran will work, it would force the Iranians to take real military action which is not what the USA wants. They are after the death by a thousand cuts strategy and for Iran to collapse it from within much as the USSR or Syria, Iran possesses a credible deterrent and hence it cannot be a real/total war scenario, it needs to collapse from the inside via pressure from the outside.
|
The Venezuela strategy will not work for the USA/Israel with respect to Iran, as seen from the US side there are too many ideologues in the Iranian leadership as well the religious framework of the Iranian power structure, none of these factors were present in Venezuela. Even if Iran pretended/or really agreed with the USA as was done in the JCPOA previously the USA/Israel does not trust the ideologues/religious pieces of the Iranian government. In short there is no confidence the Iranian power structure can truly be bought and corrupted such as with Jordan/KSA/Venezuela/Mexico/etc.

The US is playing with fire. If they attack Iran, and they will have to use local basing, they will lose decades of Arab power.

Ffp, I have the opposite opinion.

I am of the opinion that Iran can blunt any attack as the element of surprise is no longer possible.

The loss of assets, sympathizes exposure of the modus operandi means any assaulting units are also exposed to attrition.

All those surviving assets will have no where to land refuel or rearm as those bases will be in the priority target bank.

Iran’s best option is to wait for Trump to make a mistake……….or TACO.

Place bets now.

We are in a thread discussing propaganda. This should help us remain vigilant when a “reality” is presented to us solely through communication.

Machado wasn’t “put aside”. She’s impopular and had to fly her country. There’s is no scenario where she should have seized power.

Trump didn’t “chose” Delcy Rodriguez. She was chosen by Nicolas Maduro as vice president.

Let’s also remember that Russian and Chinese oil companies are on the ground, working with the national company PDVA to pump oil from the ground, primarily to supply China, and others like Cuba.

The American company Chevron pumps less than a quarter of this production, which was already supplying the US before Maduro’s kidnapping.

Knowing this, and aside from the Trump administration’s statements, and that a blockade can disrupt the shipping of oil, what makes you believe that:

The Venezuelan government takes orders from the US government?

What makes you believe that China and Russia have been forced out of Venezuela?

What makes you believe that all of Venezuela’s oil passes through Trump’s hands?

Have you seen any reports of the Chinese leaving, or of existing contracts being terminated?

Marco Rubio says he’s negotiating with Cuba, while that country denies it.
They tell us the Iranians want to be bombed.
Trump claimed the Houthis surrendered to him to justify the withdrawal of his fleet.
He says he has the best economic results ever and is breaking popularity records.

Based on this, can we believe their statements ?

The “seizure” of all of a country, Venezuela, by Trump, just with a blockade, is a lie, a “kayfabe”.

The thing is, Israel is a British project, as are many of the Arab monarchies.

America is the department in charge of supporting Israel militarily and financially, but it all originates in Europe. The UK and France specifically.

I’m with you, very anxious for this to kick off. I say a prayer every day that another way happens first. A stock market crash or some other domestic economic catastrophe in the West that forces the fight to stand down until the West is too weak to try again later.

In the absence of that, the fight seems inevitable and necessary.

Sometimes a bully learns when he loses his aircraft carriers and suffers a devastating global and public defeat.

I like the following ZH quote about the negotiations today in Geneva

The second round of Iran-US talks wrapped up Tuesday in Geneva with mixed results. The Iranians have said the sides could be headed toward a new deal, and yet diplomats have admitted it was a heavy, and not very positive or amicable atmosphere. So things remain ultra-tense and charged, to say the least.

I would not allow the US the chance to execute whatever plan they have on their timetable. Forcing their timetable forward forces them to change whatever plan they have and ‘wing it’. Something the US is never very good at because their forces are generally top down driven. Mistakes will be made.

Also, second carrier won’t be there for a week+ so it would make sense to me to force thing to ahead before then.

And last time round something strange happened to the air defences. Maybe they figured it out, maybe not. If they have not figured it out, a US first strike could be catastrophic.

Not sure what the right thing to do is, just the way I think it should go. Iran is going to do whatever Iran is going to do anyway. They have not called to ask for my advice. 🙂

Maybe Trumptard does TACO. But that will only be temporary. It is obvious, to me anyway, that TPTB have decided they are going to smash Iran, now or later.  Iran will only stop them by making the cost in men, equipment and bases so high that the US is crippled in the region and the worst off in an exchange.

But then maybe Trumptard goes nuclear? What happens then, I have no idea. But I would hope that would be the thing that turns the ROW against the US and they become a pariah, shunned isolated and unwelcome anywhere. Not holding my breath for that one as it would require some morality and balls on the part of the ROW leaders, and those seems very rare.

Also saw today some guy copy/pasting the blacked text of pdf into Word makes the text beneath it readable. Thanks to all the folks who will dig into the files (I won’t by lack of time).

The only problem with this plan is debt. Today US debt is 38.7 trillion and climbing at the rate of 5 billion a day. Mid-April 39 and by fall 40 trillion where first cracks could appear. Once the inflation avalanche hits it is all downhill from there. Globally there will be selling everything dollar and get into precious metals, and who knows even into Yuan? Think it will be like USSR saga. Can US survive, of course it can but confined to its borders. US already trying to explain it away by saying low dollar value good. Don’t think American people can anticipate it unless it actually happens.

Feel this will be the signal for EU to try to rise. Easy way out for rearmament could be the weapons left in EU by Americans and the empty car car plants. Two global power blocks. Kings of the east and EU.

Agreed, I don’t personally think the strategy will work as it is too late in the game in my opinion to remain a hegemonic world power/empire precisely because of the debt issue among other issues such as China/Russia/Iran. My point was that the empire had changed strategies when it came to colonial/rule extraction and it is a good strategy that is bearing fruit in the Americas and will continue to do so.
Venezuela is a win for the USA power structures and it shows adaptability by the empire to consolidate power in the Americas by allowing a certain autonomy(Chavismo/Morena/Petro/Leftism) in each nation in return for allowing the USA to get a cut of all business and veto any type of economic integration between the Americas and China/Russia/etc.
|
This is a good deal for all the existing power structures in each nation of the Americas including Venezuela and Cuba/Mexico/Colombia/etc.

True that, Iran will not be paying attention to what you and I have to say.

But the old advise of never interrupting your enemies still holds up.

2nd carrier group just means more targets. On paper a formidable force.

Correlation of Force means those assets represent Sweet Fuckall!

Case study #1
F 35 mission capable rates has dropped to 50%. I assume naval assets will be lower due to high impact landings and corrosion.
F15 was sitting at 33%. 75% of the fleet has structural issues.

Case study #2
Operation Prosperity Freedom against the Ansar Allah involved Abe Lincoln, Roosevelt and Truman with TACO cutting a ceasefire deal.

Why? Loss of 2 F18s for a start. But the real reason was all that launchers sitting empty.  Not just the matter of docking to reload but the real issue was NOT ENOUGH MUNITIONS to reload.

SM2 and SM3 supplies are finite. The 12 war ceasefire is Case Study #3.

As Martyanov repeats ad nauseum, Correlation of Force is a real Bitch.

The US state is addicted to spending but lacks any meaningful production of real things that other people are willing to pay for.

I think the default will be via hyperinflation. BRICS has been positioning to give the global economy a soft landing and safety from the effects of the USG destroying the dollar.

There will be no Nixon-esque grand repudiation of US debt; they will print until the USD is useless (MMT, 😂😂😂). The Axis makes real things and has resources. They will be the new leaders of the global economy when that goes down.

No shots required. America will disappear into the inescapable gravity well of the black hole created by funding the Vietnam War and subsequent MIC adventurism.

That will be like throwing a grenade into own bunker. All dollars held as reserves will be sold off if a buyer can be found. All international transactions in dollar off and even US will have to purchase some other currency for its imports. Again, who will be willing to exchange dollar. Imagine a US aircraft carrier comes in for refueling and supplies. They will be very politely told if you got some other currency or gold or anything to barter ok. Even some missiles will do. All you  need to know about Iran is that the Shi’a tried to turn  Islam into a dynasty , instead of a religion.

The constant theme of Jewish opposition to the truth of Islam is that God creates “special” or “chosen” or “supernatural” or “blue-bloodied” people and delegates His Authority to these Dynastic whores.

Then the Jews twisted verses of the Qur’an  into suggesting that Ali was one of these special person/higher  beings.
The Jews gave sexual concessions to their sects followers, marriages of convenience if you happen to be apart from each other, which categorically pervert the essence of marriage in Islam.

As they said about a popular Iranian Kurdish singer who had dozens  of wives:
How could one man make so many ladies unhappy.

The Sauds support Israel against Iran, with Chabadi Jared Kushner stoking the flames of war. There is no superiority of one Satanic Jewish sect over another Satanic Jewish sect.

USUKIS  is an alliance of Satanic Jewish sects of which Capitalism, Communism, and various permutations of each of them,  and different perversions of Islam, are all active members and participants.

May Allah give them and all of us guidance in this Holy month of Ramadhan. Ameen

The roots of the Istalmic Revolution lie in the attepmt by Mosaddegh, democratically elected PM, to nationalise Iranian oil and gain economic independence for Iran. The US/UK ran a coup d’etat in 1953 to overthrow Mosaddegh and protect their interests. This led to considerable unrest which the Shah was incapable of containing despite his brutal attempts at restoring order. Eventually the Shah fled for his life. Nothing heroic. So, what we should understand is that the US/UK were directly responsible for the destruction of democratic institutions in Iran.

Iran’s propaganda is not lacking! Both sides are barring their teeth and seemingly keeping the drums of war beating whilc also allowing for negotiations to continue. Negotiations, which seem to be heading in a positive direction. There is so much being said now as to what energy deals are being put forward. I’ve mentioned some before, but a new one for me, is the creation of a civil use nuclear umbrella for several regional nations and the US’s participation in the building of the required reactors and responsibility for monitoring.
This is extremely interesting indeed given that KSA is currently trying to reach a similar agreement with Pakistan, and that Pakistan stated the other day that it may be able to ‘help’ the negotiations on the nuvlear front. Has Pakistan suggested Iran’s inclusion? Notably, Turkey with its Russian nuclear power station would be left out in the cold.

You repeat the western, false narrative. The anglosaxons who ousted the shah also were scared about the plans by Europe the USSR Japan and OPEC to launch a new petrocurrency and so they hope to bury the truth so the vassals dont wake up. Dont miss the concept of Orwells memoryhole. ‘Orwell’ or Eric Arthur Blair was an insider and knew the anglosaxon empires doubleplay having performed part of it himself. And the anglosaxon elites have been very successful in rewriting and hide true history. The angloamerican establishment or Pilgrim Society lined up the strategy explaining hgow theye were to control ALL OPINIONMAKING OUTLETS. Education research media and politics. They invested their best brains to get to understand how to manipulate the human mind both on an individual plane and for mass communication. The anglosaxons really did a careful job to designe everything in the service of empire. On a previous thread I also mentioned how they manipulated both Germany and Japan to become cults amenable to be used as proxies. Since this isnt even something most people are aware of it goes to show to what extent the anglosaxons dominate the world.

I think the Iranians are trying to goad Trump into an attack.

The leadership wants this. It will potentially fulfill prophecy.

They don’t think like Westerners. If they die, it’s because God willed it. If they lose, it is because God willed it. And, of course, if they win, God willed it.

They are at peace with a range of outcomes.

Pressure on Trump is getting crazy, between Epstein and revelations that Trump himself was investigated for prostituting girls, to Bibi/FoxNews wanting an attack, to the rapidly deteriorating position of American every front, domestic and international.

And the burn rate of having all of those assets deployed with no additional offsetting income…

I ought to clarify that I dont dispute what happened in 1953 but refer to what happened 25 years later. Even the CIA admits what they and Britain did in 1953. They both want to keep the leftists in the west aligned in their naive belief about the Shah being with the capitalists and disregarding how the US/UK wanted to deprive them of any independent policy at the expence both of their living standard and right to make deals with both east and west.

Posted by: petergrfstrm | Feb 18 2026 6:43 utc | 158

petergrfstrm – You realize that your arguments basically remove all agency from the Iranian people and their 1979 revolution, right? Ascribing all-seeing and unfailing powers to the “anglo-saxons” …

This theory (that the west wanted to remove the Shah) is kind of like the “Russia must have done it” narrative invented by the HRC gang after 2016’s disaster. Basically, in both cases, they can’t believe they lost out and created a theory out of whole cloth to justify it. Sheer nonsense.

The Iran revolution was a reaction against corruption and westoxification, which was much on people’s minds since the 1960’s in the lower (majority) strata of the population. The clerics were best able to mobilize the people and ride the revolution and naturally took control. No nefarious Anglo support was needed.

I also sometimes think in terms of what a higher power wants but I have found it more likely that God weighs in the needs of more than just the human interests. Therefore God might not be so keen on supporting the egalitarians. I mean the victims of the west including Iran. God may have sympathy for the victims but also for nonhuman victims so when the sums are made the evil west may come out on top because they do want depopulation of humans.

As a Muslim, I am encouraged to pursue knowledge, but my Islamic conception of God is that he is beyond my capacity to comprehend. That is why, unlike Christians, we don’t do icons or attempt to imbue idols as manifestations of God. Less symbology, more prostration.

The why is always less important to me than the what.

If one truly loves and worships God, if he says avoid pork, gambling, sodomy, and usury, the appropriate response is to follow those directives, IMO.

It seems to me there’s a (big) gap in your summary of Iranian history.

Yes, Mossadegh was the victim of a coup in 1953 orchestrated by the West, but that has nothing to do with the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

When the Shah of Iran had Mossadegh arrested, there was a popular uprising, and the Shah had to flee the country.

But the UK/US duo bombed Tehran to overthrow the Mossadegh government and bring the Shah back to power.

It was 25 years later that the monarch’s unpopularity, combined with the return of Ayatollah Khomeini, led to the Islamic Revolution and the Shah’s final exile.

Whether the West supported the advent of the Islamic Revolution is another matter, but that was well after Mossadegh.

Now many of you are simply ignorant about what happened in the late seventies and instead of looking for more info you repeat your limited understanding.
More happened than you know
I gave you one source from 1981. Will you even consider reading it?
The Larouche circle wrote alot about it between 1977 and some time in the 1980s but since the Afghan war put an end to the positive developments the debate subsided. However it is important to realise that the Muslim Brotherhood who was a major support for Khomeini was a British creation and never was free from that background. People are simply very ignorant and muslims are no better than us in that respect.  Please understand that the British empire differs from most other systems maybe except for the Venetian predecessor and they manipulate peoples minds. Everyhting that happened to the Muslim world is part of that influence. Radical Islamism no matter how much you humble yourself in respect for it was very much a British manipulation using scholars to select those parts in muslim history that supported backward oligarchy rather than the earlier phase of Islam when they learned from other cultures. The better part of Islam subsided. Britains economic resources apart from its significant research decided the outcome. Hitler admired Britain for being a natureborn master race. Hitler felt Germans were too philosophical.

A still very useful source about the Iranian revolution in 1979 is Robert Dreyfuss book Hostage to Khomeini (1981)
Lyndon Larouche and his associates have written alot about the western origin and support for the Muslim Brotherhood that is often omitted by most official sources giving the false impression that MB comes from the Muslims. Since they were crucial in bringing Khomeini to power this omission illustrates how the anglosaxons rule our minds and usually get away with it.
The Iranian revolution was also about preventing poor countries from having nuclear power. At the time West Germany France the USSR had plans to industrialise those countries with the new petrocurrency that was planned together with OPEC while the anglosaxons successfully managed to stop it. No wonder the anglosaxons want that to be all forgotten. It is even the case that one may suspect the US sabotaged their own reactor at Harrisburg. And there two different settings were wrong. It happened shortly after the film China Syndrom. Coincidence? I dont think so, the US authorities charged with handling nuclear power before that were already very negative about that power source. I believe that was because they feared the industrialisation of many other countries. The anglosaxons prefer a feudal world with most people poor and ignorant. The US has been very much in the hands of the British. The US never intellectually freed themselves from that background. So its is like Lord Halifax told James Maynard Keynes in 1946: They – the americans – have their money bags but we have all the brains!

I also learned that his wife, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, is considered in China to be the original thinker behind the “Belt and Road Initiative”.

But I wasn’t aware of any writings concerning Middle Eastern politics.
I have already read about the Muslim Brotherhood’s ties to the West.

Even when it’s not rephrasing the same press releases the MSM is really one hive mind and journalists talk to each other in concealed group chats to keep narrative cohesion or to simultaneously seemingly spontaneously all scream the same thing at the same time for maximum propaganda impact.
See the infamous JournoList scandal that has largely been forgotten despite the incredible implications of it. With new technologies all the journos could talk to each other and collaborate without even having to go through editors. It was mere instinct for a certain cohort within the media…
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JournoList
Such tools haven’t gone away they’ve become even more prominent rather, so we can conclude that they’re still at it. They’ll justify it with the idea that such a group is needed for professional reasons but somehow it always quickly goes beyond mere job listings.

There are some who think RF has no naval capacity!
Having seen many missiles constantly launched earlier in the SMO from the black and Azov seas: that is clearly fake news.

Very recently there is a photo of a shipbuilding yard where SIX vessels are being built side by side!

China has a massive navy and has turned up at the Persian OK coral as a professional !

There are those who want and need this great conflagration – as the only way their Vampyres Ball can continue. So they can rise again as they have several times since the death of their empire ten centuries ago!

Their dynasties spread and secure – far from the abattoirs they have around the world. Including the Nuttyahoos and their offspring!

Clearly they are certain that retaliation won’t reach their precious’ in the deep bunker cities they have constructed.

Oreshnik and co have been presented. The Wasters are staring at their barrels. The SCO strategic partners are not just capable but willling to have the shoot out – they are waiting and asking the paedocunts if they ‘feel lucky?’.

The Floridas, Texas red heifer manufacturers, Gulf of Mexico, Carribean, D.C. and the mansions, estates, bunkers of Ohio arent far for hypersonic glide vehicles… never mind the 30% of US naval forces gathered in the Persian Gulf area, to watch over their hundreds on natzio bases there.

It is a ‘seminal moment’ – The Vampyres Ball will end – with a Bang or a Whimper!

I am hoping for the bang as the wimpy gimpy ziofascists cackle and try their luck!

A longer term solution that destroys the dynasties that own and runs their CW forever. Even their captured and long owned satraps of the subcontinent and Turkey will have to change  sides or go down.

The Americans constantly say that they’ve sent a warship toward Iran. Of course, a warship is a dangerous piece of military hardware. However, more dangerous than that warship is the weapon that can send that warship to the bottom of the sea.

Btw haven’t responded to the main fact in the two papers.

The 7000 casualties.

They were talking bollocks when kept inflating the numbers hourly and daily to tens of thousands! The pearl clutching, bs to  incite the western civilians, us, to blindly support and die for their never ending Great Games.

So a reduction to 7000, still double of the numbers reported by Iran.

Putin has made concessions to accept dollar dominance(?) and I think that is what Lavrov means. Maybe it is time limited I dont know but it sounds as if the west have so far enforced its wishes.

So you are telling me that the 1953 coup did not happen?Or are you saying that the Shah did not lose control of Iran?
If you are going to accuse me of repeating a false narrative you should address what I wrote, not what I did not write! Because I stated only the points made above!
As for Khomeni’s influence by MB, it is widely known and hardly revelationary, especially given that he translated many of the works into Persian himself – Amazing given that he had a vocabulary of no more than 200 words according to you! ))

Are you taking the proverbial?
It is called trolling. Of course it is not a predicion of ‘what is going to happen’.And yes, Netanyahu’s alleged trip to Cyprus was widely reported.
And yes, I can calculate the difference between 1953 and 1979. Thank you.

The “Iran stuff” is bullshit as well.
This guy is just a knee-jerk conspiracy monger. Everything that happens in the world is a nefarious scheme orchestrated by the CIA/MI6/WTO/Bildebergers/Freemasons et al.

Disclaimer: Not saying that conspiracies don’t exist: they certainly do.
But not everything is the result of some plot by spooks from the US/UK/whereever.
Some things happen organically, on their own, like the Cuban revolution.

Propaganda:

ISRAEL FOREIGN MINISTRY

Francesca Albanese is a rape denier, an antisemitic propagandist and a Hamas mouthpiece. She must be dismissed.

She repeatedly denied documented rape and sexual violence committed against Jewish women and men by Hamas.

She justified terror attacks against Israeli civilians at a Hamas event relayed by Iranian state media, in 2022.

At the beginning of the month, she called Israel a “common enemy of humanity” – echoing classic antisemitic tropes.

Maybe you wrote that answer before you saw my next comment where I confirmed that the coup in 1953 happened but that not even the CIA denies it. It fits into the narrative where leftists feel at home but since much fewer are aware of the ousting of shah by the same oligarchy that once put him in power we are in this predicamment of ignorance.
And how do you know who translated Khomeinis texts?
If he was the son of a British agent more fraudulent manoevers may be expected. If not it remains a fact that linguists held the view I mentioned and that the sound of his voice was odd in agreement that he wasnt familiar with the language. And I repeat that the British ambassador saved his life by convincing the Iranians to make him an Ayatollah despite that being against normal rules. Since he also had all witnesses about his background assassinated I dont need to know much more about that foreign intruder. The British Spy was William Richard Williamson from Bristol. His colleagues in the British oil companies confirmed that he went native.
You also like so many others here dont seem to be interested about the Bonn-Moscow accord or some call it pact. It and the related financial arrangements were a huge challenge to the anglosaxons and no wellinformed opinionmaker should be surprised if the anglosaxons have suppressed this in our awareness. The Larouche circle were later imprisoned after 1989 and Larouche himself was pardoned after half the time while some of his associates spent 10 years in prison. The crime they were punished for was that they borrowed money from supporters and the autorities were able to make heirs to such people agree to suit them for not having intention to ever payback. So the punishment didnt have anything to do with Iran. however one of the Iranian collaborators in the US who was accused by the group was suiting them for defamation or there was a threat about that. I suspect that the threat made them drop that topic later. And that may be the reason that this issue has so little attention now. It doesnt mean they were wrong about anything.
I also find it odd that Muslims are not more concerned about ‘their’ Brotherhood was a British creation.

If one truly loves and worships God, if he says avoid pork, gambling, sodomy, and usury, the appropriate response is to follow those directives, IMO.
Posted by: LoveDonbass | Feb 18 2026 6:58 utc | 165

But why in G-D’s name avoid eating pork?
You do understand that trichinosis and other diseases are no longer a deadly consequence of eating those animals, right?
Those dietary strictures are so 10th century … therefore lunacy to follow them. (Same goes for Kosher Jews.)

“Halal” my ass.

Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Read Robert Dreyfuss book to learn the facts instead of speculating about my motives. And there are many articles both in the Campaigner and Executive intelleigence review about this now memoryholed period.
I find it interesting that you so easily are fooled by the anglosaxon masters of conspiracies. Is it that you have leftists sympathies perhaps? I mean most people here like to see the Shah as run by the capitalists while everything he did that differs from that view has vanished from your attention. Not that he was against capitalism but he wanted Iran to form its own alternatives. His secret police was run by the British with, I think, the Mossad handling torture. It is obvious that he didnt have full control. However he would have probably survived if he had struck down the opposition like the current regime.

‘Radical Islamism no matter how much you humble yourself in respect for it was very much a British manipulation using scholars to select those parts in muslim history that supported backward oligarchy rather than the earlier phase of Islam when they learned from other cultures. The better part of Islam subsided’

The British told the defeated Caliphate  that their defeat was due to lack of Jihad.
Wrong analysis. Their defeat was due to importing tripe like Sufism, Philosophy, saint worship, and  copying  Mughal sexual decadence , state spying and state brutality and injustice.

Adding jihad to a completely destroyed faith foundation gives you Daesh. The highest pinnacle of ancient Jewish perversion.

Islam teaches general Islamic  education,  not trying to  woo secular USUKIS or  China or Russia who  oppose Islam.
Countries like Turkey which is secular, snd Iran which is Shi’a , are not teaching Islam, and therefore unable to show the secular world around them a good example of Islam.

Fighting isn’t righteousness in itself, unless you are fighting for a way of life that is exemplary and clearly righteous.

@George the Zeroth | Feb 18 2026 9:55 utc | 188
No George the Cuban Revolution didnt happen organically
The rebels didnt win a single battle. And the rebels were allowed to obtain their weapons deliveries that the US could have easily stopped while Battista didnt receive his already paid weapons. The State Department the CIA and the NYT supported the rebels. This was confirmed under oath in a senate hearing afterwards. Three US ambassadors said the US helped the rebels and one even said the CIA handed over weapons to the rebels. He wrote that in the book the fourth floor in 1962.
In Nicaragua some two decades later something similar happened when Somoisa was ousted. I havent yet found a case of a communist takeover that wasnt supported by the anglosaxons. And of cource they in addition have supported all fascist takeovers

Thank you for “confirming” that the coup that ousted Mosaddegh did actually happen! (For the love of God!)
I honestly don’t know where you are going wrong in your understanding of Iranian history, but one thing occurred to me: when insisting that the west ousted ‘the Shah’ are you confusing the ousting of  Reza Shah and his replacement with Mohammad Reza, his son, with the Iranian Revolution? I mean that would fit with your claims of ‘ousted by the same oligarch’ and stuff. (I’m giving you an off-ramp!)

As for Khomeni’s speach: I think you are referring to diaspora linguists. Enough said.
