Moon of Alabama Brecht quote
January 9, 2026
Trump Has Changed And TDS With Him

When Trump did win his second term there were many people, including here, who were a bit in panic. Other characterized that as a ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ (TDS).

I had preferred Trump over the blabbering incompetent person the Democrats had put up as their candidate. I did not like Trump’s policies but I also thought that he would do just minor damage just like during his first term in office.

At first it looked like I had been right. The Alaska meeting with President Putin went reasonably well. The war in Ukraine seemed to move towards some sane outcome. His domestic policies were a bit wild but not far off from the expected trajectory.

Things have been going downward since. Something has definitely changed. But why and how this derangement happened is yet unknown.

The late December CIA attack on Putin’s residence in the Novgorod region, which includes strategic command facilities, has broken the rules that have governed relations between nuclear powers over many decades. Those relations have now deteriorated beyond fixing.

The attack on Venezuela was likewise beyond any reasonability. There is little chance that the U.S. will ever get what it wants from the country without on the ground intervention. But any commitment of troops to Caracas would end in disaster.

The administration defense of ICE goons, who clearly broke all rules of policing when they killed an innocent women, is also beyond all reasonability. There are certainly ways to explain the incident but they decided to smear the obvious victim.

That such behavior has become and will stay the norm for the Trump administration can be concluded from two recent interviews.

The first was on January 5 at CNN with Trump aide Stephen Miller:

TAPPER: So let’s — the question about who is now running Venezuela is one that even members of Congress who are big Trump supporters say they’re not quite sure about. Senate Majority Leader John Thune told CNN’s Manu Raju that he doesn’t know what President Trump meant by his assertion that the U.S. is running Venezuela. And he said he needs more information. Can you tell us what the President means when he says, is acting President Delcy Rodriguez in charge? Is she running Venezuela or not?

MILLER: Well, what the President said is true. The United States of America is running Venezuela. By definition, that’s true. Jake, we live in a law, I’m sorry, we live in a world in which you can talk all you want about international niceties and everything else, but we live in a world, in the real world, Jake, that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power. These are the iron laws of the world that have existed since the beginning of time. The United States —

TAPPER: But are you saying — but in terms of day-to-day operations in Venezuela, that is president, Acting President Rodriguez, right? It’s not some sort of American emissary.

MILLER: No, what I’m saying is, and we’ll keep going here, Jake. So I want to say what I’m saying, and then you’ll follow up. But what I’m saying is just one level above that, which is that, by definition, we are in charge because we have the United States military stationed outside the country. We set the terms and conditions. We have a complete embargo on all of their oil and their ability to do commerce.

So for them to do commerce, they need our permission. For them to be able to run an economy, they need our permission. So the United States is in charge. The United States is running the country during this transition period.

Miller really seems to believe that this is how the world works. It isn’t.

The second interview, on January 7, was by the NY Times with Trump himself:

Trump Lays Out a Vision of Power Restrained Only by ‘My Own Morality’ (archived)

The relevant excerpt of craziness:

Asked in a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times if there were any limits on his global powers, Mr. Trump said: “Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It’s the only thing that can stop me.”

“I don’t need international law,” he added. “I’m not looking to hurt people.”

When pressed further about whether his administration needed to abide by international law, Mr. Trump said, “I do.” But he made clear he would be the arbiter when such constraints applied to the United States.

“It depends what your definition of international law is,” he said.

Mr. Trump’s assessment of his own freedom to use any instrument of military, economic or political power to cement American supremacy was the most blunt acknowledgment yet of his worldview. At its core is the concept that national strength, rather than laws, treaties and conventions, should be the deciding factor as powers collide.

Trump’s take on domestic limits exposes a similar might-makes-right vision:

On the domestic front, Mr. Trump suggested that judges only have power to restrict his domestic policy agenda — from the deployment of the National Guard to the imposition of tariffs — “under certain circumstances.”

But he was already considering workarounds. He raised the possibility that if his tariffs issued under emergency authorities were struck down by the Supreme Court, he could repackage them as licensing fees. And Mr. Trump, who said he was elected to restore law and order, reiterated that he was willing to invoke the Insurrection Act and deploy the military inside the United States and federalize some National Guard units if he felt it was important to do so.

So far, he said, “I haven’t really felt the need to do it.”

TDS has changed its meaning. Trump is deranged and its not just a syndrome. I have yet to make up my mind of what is most likely to follow from this.

Is the U.S. sliding down the path towards full fascism? Or is this all pure bluster that will end as soon as it experience a serious bulwark?

Comments

Just thought I would point a couple of things out regarding the ICE execution that I have not seen anyone mention. The shooter’s own cell phone video has been released. Prior to the car actually moving, after the driver speaks to him (kindly, but likely meant as an insult), you then see the shooter move his cell phone from his right hand to his left hand. This was the moment he decided to murder her. He had to free up his right hand in order to draw his sidearm from his holster. He then briefly and casually stepped in front of the car, then moved back toward his original position near the drivers door. By now the car is in motion, and the shooter then fires at what is basically point-blank range.
Now, many people are puzzled as to why the shooter moved in front of the car. Many allege that he was previously dragged and was injured in another incident. Detractors say he should have known better than to do this given training and the previous incident, and his supporters then use his position to claim he  was in fear for his life. THINK THIS THROUGH. The shooter briefly stepped in front of the car to MANUFACTURE PRETEXT. Prior to stepping in front of the car, he had already freed his gun hand. The decision had been made. Stepping in front of the car and then firing on the driver is no different than what you see in all of the images where police have people prostrate, often handcuffed, beating the snot out of their victim, all while screaming “STOP RESISTING!” over and over for the benefit of all recording devices in the area. “Stop resisting!” and briefly stepping in front of the car are both tactics to manufacture/manipulate perception, and to fulfill requirements to meet legal tests/precedent/statutes in court.
If they shoot someone, cops know all of the legal tests they have to pass to be let off in a system that is already massively rigged in their favor. They are literally trained to do these things to lay the groundwork create a BS narrative that the courts accept with a straight face.

No more courts, friend. Just government jackboots stomping on American faces forever…

Stuff like this ends when a regime ends, but America has continuity of government, so the Democrats will perpetuate it when they are back in power.

This is the real America, and Americans are finally understanding what it is to be colonized.

Re:  Minneapolis ICE shooting, here’s a more thorough analysis:
https://twitter.com/mattmfm/status/2009271072164659405
One officer tells her to leave, the other to exit the vehicle. That fact, in and of itself, undermines the government narrative. Additionally, it’s evident she places her vehicle in reverse in order to leave the scene, and at 0:35, her front left tire is turning away from officer Ross (the assailant), not toward him. Were her intent to use the vehicle as a weapon, she would not have steered her vehicle as such. Rather, she could have just driven forward.
Another angle:
https://twitter.com/SuppressedNws1/status/2009612292179284190
What makes this case all the worse for Team Trump is that even individuals with a track record of defending law enforcement have called bullshit on the government narrative. See for yourself:
Retired FBI firearms instructor on shootinghttps://twitter.com/smalls2672/status/2009377603065377199
Ex-FBI special agent on shootinghttps://twitter.com/splendid_pete/status/2009568955166306406
Attorneys who have defended policemen on shootinghttps://twitter.com/adamscochran/status/2009111755260060128
Veteran law enforcement officer and use-of-force expert and instructor on shootinghttps://twitter.com/smalls2672/status/2009376886380540272
Face it, this is not a hill any self-respecting conservative should want to die on.
It’s yet another embarrassment piled on a mountain range of many more embarrassments to the integrity of this administration.

In my inexpert perspective on trauma, there is a desire in many to perpetuate their wounds onto others as a coping mechanism.

When someone gets abused, it creates future victims, who in turn will later victimize others.

Not a simple cycle to break, but I do believe that it can be broken.

That sounds very much like displacement. Ie. when someone is regularly abused by their boss at work comes home and kicks the dog is the simplest example.
Or in a longer term picture where someone that gets abused as a child may sometimes become an abuser of children or others later in life.

B says –
“The administration defense of ICE goons, who clearly broke all rules of policing when they killed an innocent women, is also beyond all reasonability. There are certainly ways to explain the incident but they decided to smear the obvious victim.”
No. There are NOT certainly ways to explain the incident.  Of the 2 ICE gestapo who got out of their car and approached Renee Good’s SUV, one said “Move, move, move!” meaning drive away; the other said “Get the fuck out of the car!”, so Renee Good follow orders and tried to drive in the opposite direction–only to be shot in the face at point blank 3 times. Her SUV then drove into a lamp pole several meters down the street on the left.  When a bystander said “I’m a doctor, I can administer first aid until the ambulance comes” an ICE gestapo said “No! Get back while brandishing his weapon.”  For the next 10 minutes ICE gestapo surrounded the SUV as Renee Good sat inside bleeding to death.  When an ambulance finally arrived, the ICE gestapo would NOT allow it to pull up to Good’s SUV! They had to get out of their ambulance, at some distance away, and walk to the SUV to tend to Goods gunshot wounds to the head. So, ICE gestapo did to hasten her death after shooting her. But for idiot B the know it all, “There are certainly ways to explain the incident”.  Fuck you, B 🖕🏽

IMO, if one must vote in Canada, the best party is the BQ. They have the best policies on Palestine of all the major Canadian parties, IMO. Plus, it would piss off the British for the French to have federal political power in their colony.

Still clueless about Canadian politics. It’s okay, since your ignorance is more irrelevant as Canada’s role in geopolitics or the Bloc Québécois.

One cannot vote for the Bloc Québécois unless you live in (drum roll + cymbal) Québéc. Which excludes about 80% of us. Bloc Québécois and their mirror provincial party, Parti Québécois serve very a useful role in Québéc, as they are the only viable alternative to Liberals. Meaning Liberals have to spend more more to buy votes there.  The oversized role of the Laurentian Elite (big Québéc money) on Canadian politics is well documented. Entrenched Québéc political interests and official bilingualism means that French Canadians already have political influence greater than their numbers. Very few Canadians of Anglo descent identify as “British”, particularly compared to 75 years ago.

That’s the IDF training. The gaza nazi-occupation is now officially unleashed on the US working class.
Not an American but many on this forum are. Yet they seem to waste time batting for whichever regime management team they call “the lesser evil” instead of growing grassroots resistance. Or schadenfreuding over Europes ills. Or armchair strategizing for Russia/China/Iran.
The US people need to develop a Home Front for the Axis of Resistance. Concentrate on education, info sharing, underground communications, cooperation, mutual-aid and armed defense of communities. (Of course the moment a grassroots resistance movement starts liquidating IDF/ICE/zionazi-SS and capping a few pedo-elites, certain old timers on this blog will label the resistance as the fascists and encourage Trumps Iron Fist response).

No, that’s standard firearms training, in all law enforcement … if you are going to shoot then make sure you kill, because dead witnesses don’t give testimony. They don’t widely advise that, but it’s how things are done.

This might eventually change with enough mobile phone cameras but anyway it’s been that way for a long time … blame the lawyers I guess.

Also the protester/victim was middle class, although there’s no clear line on the ground separating one from the other but the working class spend quite a lot of their time … ya know … working. Keeps em outta trouble.

To show you how much weight my words on this forum carry, consider this. Italian PM Giorgia Meloni is now suggesting that Trump should shut up about a military conquest of Greenland (and the Congress agrees) and instead Nato could increase its presence in the Arctic. That is the scenario I put forward (obviously not agreeing with it) here a few days ago. Speculator can testify..

OK people. I am just joking. Contrary to the real nonentities like Karlof and Psychohistorian I don’t take myself too seriously. Please, how many decades have you been posting here? Maybe it’s a cruel thing to ask, but anyway. do you think you are really making any difference? I think you are just parasitic on b’s brilliance.

Speaking of which, I disagree with the maxim that when you see your enemy making a mistake, don’t stop him (or her). I think we have the moral duty to try to stop even our enemies making a mistake. Since I am a very emotional human being, it gets to the point where it is just heartbreaking to see that happening. However, as we have seen especially in the case of the EU, that “enemy” just doesn’t care, it just brushes aside any well-meaning warning as Russian disinformation or some such paranoid nonsense. So what can you do?

Lifting part of the veil on the CIA, which should be seen as the Praetorian guard and far more powerful than any US president, projecting its nefarious influence from behind the curtain around the globe.
From the Nordstream attack to various types of drone attacks deep inside Russian territory to BEC’s attacking the Russian trade fleet to rebuilding its vipers nest in Caracas, Venezuela.https://nitter.poast.org/pic/orig/media%2FF87wLKdW0AAlwf5.jpg

Now that Venezuela had to capitulate because of Russia already preoccupied with the war against the whole of NATO and China asleep dreaming of a world where treaties and the UN charter still had meaning, other countries will fall like domino pieces (at barely no cost!) at which China’s trade partners, its BRI, the energy and resources feeding its globally consolidated industrial machine will be controlled by its enemy. It’s one thing not to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries which is very admirable of China, it’s another when countries in distress are left totally helpless when confronted with an external aggressor merely for the sin trading and having normal relations with China.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Russia knows it.

China is in slumber and when it wakes up, eventually very unfortunate for the whole world, won’t know what hit them.

Why so defeatist. It is precisely this wet blanket mindset that has cemented the uniparty tag team into place, allowing them to take turns piledriving disobedient or resource rich countries, and increasingly American schlepps themselves, into the ground. If the U.S. American population collectively can’t muster more than a handful of active brain cells and start throwing third, fourth and fifth party cats among the two party pigeons, then the country deserves every little bit of ‘holy shit, why me’ coming its way.

Voting in America is an exercise in futility. At best.

If only ever voting Rep or Dem, sure, voting seems futile. But you know what? There are alternatives. The more Americans stop being mindless conformists and vote for third parties, the less futile elections become. Instead of “encouraging DC”, it would put those schmucks on notice.

My unpopular opinion;

The United States government is a failure.
Everything that it stands for has failed, or is in the process of failing. It does not presently serve the people, and there are serious doubts that it ever did.
Call it whatever you want: A Republic, a representative Democracy, A Capitalist society, a Plutocracy.  It is an abject failure.
It needs to be scrapped wholesale.
Everything about it needs to be abandoned.
What ever replaces it; be it Communism, Dictatorship, Social Republic, AI-tocracy. Will certainly be better for the vast majority of American citizens than what they have now.

And that is my unpopular opinion.

[…] Even though many Americans understand this on some level, there is nothing we can do about it. We have no power. Only economic collapse can spark real change here.

“there is nothing we can do about it. We have no power.” – Really? No general strikes, no boycotting oligarch owned products, no voting third parties, no million people marches on government buildings, no joining political campaigns, no donating to alternative media outlets actually doing good work outing these parasitic psychopaths, nothing at all? Just waiting for the collapse? Oh dear.

Pretty much half of Americans don’t vote. My idea is that this trend increases exponentially in the coming years until any victorious scoundrel has the support of maybe 10 or 15 percent of the population. This would of course render him/her null and void. Then things might get interesting.

“Pretty much half of Americans don’t vote.” – Its 40%, but yeah, I know what you mean. A fair chunk. But hey, ask yourself, has made one iota of a difference?

I know, rhetorical question. Let me answer it myself then: No. No difference whatsoever. We still ended up with genocidal, pedophile psychopaths who love kids being blown up in the White House.

You know what would have made difference? If those 40% had voted for the party who campaigned on

  • Economic Bill of Rights, guaranteeing living-wage jobs, secure income, utilities, housing, healthcare, and education as rights rather than privileges.
  • Universal healthcare as a human right, pushing for National Improved Medicare for All
  • Ending mass incarceration, banning private prisons
  • Anti-war, arguing to reduce military spending, halt military aid to human rights abusers, close most U.S. foreign bases, end support for NATO as it exists
  • Israel’s conduct in Gaza amounted to “genocide,” calling for the U.S. to end all military aid and weapons shipments to Israel, supported BDS, Palestinian self-determination and opposition to occupation and blockade policies

Posted by: Original Newbie | Jan 9 2026 20:11 utc | 261

Excellent point, Original Newbie. What happened to Jill Stein and the Green party is what always happens when election time comes around. That being, either people don’t care enough to inform themselves, and of those who do hear about the Greens, most of them find a reason not to vote for them, say gender, immigration or environmental issues, ie. “so what if they would stop the mass murder of children in Palestine and bring about Medicare for All, I don’t want no stinking immigrants and trans in women’s sports.”

Voting for Jill Stein accomplished nothing, but then, voting for anyone accomplishes nothing. However, it’s at least an expression of good conscience.  Some will argue that such a vote legitimizes the system, but the system doesn’t care one way or another, so why not do what one feels is right?  BTW I voted for Stein myself.

The “system” would notice, guaranteed.

It would show that the corpse of the American electorate still has a heartbeat, that it isn’t dead yet, that there is chance, however small, it can bounce back from the abyss and chase the zionist demon bastards strangling everyone back to hell where they belong. I drink to that.  🍻

No that is a damn lie. She was an authorized observer of the ICE operation. She had all the legal rights as a citizen to be there and watch what these agents were doing. You and your kind just base your assumptions on the fact that she was left leaning. But she was not an agitator at the moment she was killed. She even had the courtesy to let the ICE truck to pass in front of her. If not, she would probably be alive.

MILLER: …”by definition, we are in charge because we have the United States military stationed outside the country. We set the terms and conditions.”
Miller: “So for them to do commerce, they need our permission. For them to be able to run an economy, they need our permission. So the United States is in charge. The United States is running the country during this transition period.”
I am sure that Stephen Miller isn’t aware of this, and wouldn’t care even if he did, but this is the legal definition of a military occupation:”Territory is considered occupied when it is actually placed under the authority of the hostile army. The occupation extends only to the territory where such authority has been established and can be exercised.”
Note that the criteria is “can be exercised”, not “is being exercised”.
So without even being aware of it Stephen Miller is claiming that the USA is the occupying power in Venezuela.
Well, that has consequences: the occupying power not only has “authority” over the territory that it occupies, it also has legal obligations towards the people who are subject to that authority.
All legal-like, I know, but one of the problems with claiming that “power is everything” is the problem that faced the Axis leaders in 1945-46 i.e. if it turns out that you are not as powerful as you believed yourself to be then you end up hanging from a gibbet, are standing in front of a firing squad.
Something to keep in mind, Stephen.

We NEED to talk about the serial killerS latest freak, ZioDon

When Humpty Drumpffty and little Marco and every single ziocritter of the swamp sings from the same hymn sheet about ‘Our Hemisphere’ –  ‘our’ – on a globe!

They mean they intend to take a large part of the segment from the Artic to the Antarctic – from pole to pole.

They demand they have it and keep their Oz&hobbit hideaway safe lands which wcould survive nukes too!

Having destroyed the natives flora and fauna  (they always do and are still doing around the world) and replaced with Angloeuropeans & Asians and other empire diasporas – most of whom don’t realise they were just there to mind the fields and crops for their Ziolords.

They never will realise or admit it, even if they suspect it. No one likes to believe they were suckers, or are slaves and have always been.

Thats pretty much every European colonialist for centuries

It is in their (our!) tiny minds a self delusionary ‘choice’, supposedly made to ‘make a ‘new life’ as migrants’ .

Thots the ‘choice’ the conjurer gives the sucker of picking any card they want! Or buying some cure-all snake oil .

They fall for it over and over. No matter how much direct evidence they see!

It’s the greatest conjuring trick ever, the Old Bastard Slav-ers of tve Steppes who straddle Eurocentric history; from The Romans to the Yankee Doodle empire via their creation of the slave religion of judaeochristianity, as the reinvention as the Holy Roman Empire – with its Year Zero!

Whilst the Old Bastards hid within that as the secret converts to the overarching deity that gave rise to the Abrahamic Semetic Peoples religions.

They hide behind fake Tamudic ‘tradition’ which is nothing more than their turkic khazar mumbo jumbo and rituals – hidden within secret sects at the top of the hierarchies that control their angloeuropean imperial expansion and attempted conquest of the world by the seas – when they can’t ever seem to do with land invasions with multiple proxies and grand armees.

The lack of reverse gear in their delusionary ‘born to rule’ individual madness is now making them go all  in on taking the whole of South America and controlling the seas from the Artic to the Antarctic!

The madness of fuc-King Trump, is that of his string pullers, the shapeshifter dynasties, the long ousted khazar empire tyrants. They just can’t give up on their ‘Loss’ !

It is and always had been THEIR ancient tyranny that manifests as imperialism and fascism ; dressed with corporatism and finance.

We REALLY need to talk about The ZionDon.

Posted by: Princess Bodica | Jan 10 2026 10:24 utc | 424

Unless you have the $billions necessary to buy a US president you are powerless so if all this bothers you grow some emotional callouses or take up a new hobby.

A decade ago Caterpillar bought out a GM locomotive factory in my home town in Canada. They planned to kick the union to the curb and move the operation to Ohio where employees would earn less than half the money.

We had a rally that included bus loads of workers from Ohio who thought it was a better idea to leave the plant and union in Canada and let people make a decent wage rather than got to work for peanuts.

The rally consisted of over a thousand people and we all heard passionate speeches from union leaders and politicians and when the speeches ended there was a call to march and shut down the city.

The response was …. crickets. It was cold … no one brought snacks … it was getting close to lunch time … we might get in trouble … we didn’t have the right boots for marching. So we dispersed, the Americans got back on their bus and we all went home.

The plant moved, the jobs went with it because no one was willing to fight for their jobs.

So that being said why do you think government support social media? Mass protests ended the Vietnam war, brought down the Berlin wall and forced nukes out of Great Britain. Unions gained power and legitimacy by fighting and dying on the streets. Women got the vote by mass protest.

Today we like posts and tweets aand if we get REALLY brave we post on MOA.

Not a lot for a whole country of 80-90 million, even if actually true. You can have that many on a single Palestinian demo in London.

– Historian Richard B. Spence has also researched the subject and highlighted the “achievement” of the communists – in just a few years after 1917, they had expropriated the Russian economy from its former owners, run it into the ground, and stripped the country of gold and valuables, most of which ended up in the West – the lion’s share in America. Russia had been turned into an economic wasteland, and foreign capitalists were now being invited to rebuild it –

After the mass deportations, it is unlikely Mossad could organize 100 thousand Iranians for BLM style riots.

The Regime in Iran will not get smarter. It had 45 years to do so and hasn’t learnt a thing or their economy would not be in freefall and its currency devaluing 40% vis-a-vis the Dollar in a year where the Dollar lost 60% to Gold. The Mullah’s in Teheran were always nothing more than Zio-Puppets and never a true opposition to the Banker cartel that runs the world. And they are ripe to be sown off, similar to what just happened to Maduro. Just that a lot in this Forum refuse to see it.

My point is that Americans 1) currently have no power and 2) most are so brainwashed after 50 years of MASSIVE free market capitalist ad pro-war imperialist propaganda that they either ignore any arguments contradicting that propaganda or are confused and fearful that reality might be proving the propaganda wrong. Ultimately, nothing you mention will happen UNTIL THE ECONOMY IMPLODES. Nothing. You are being willfully uninformed.
What these two were involved in, MNicewatch, is a group whose sole purpose is to interfere with federal law enforcement. There’s already been many stories that have run this down.

The “lefties” that are trying to turn this into George Floyd 2.0 are going to fail.
1. It’s pretty cold in a lot of these areas that would protest in summer.
2. The most violent protesters don’t have a dog in this fight. American blacks don’t care if Mexicans etc or Somalians are deported.
3. The moron that caught the bullet is a white woman who’s middle class enough to not have to work. The types that rioted over George Floyd hate white people in general and really hate do gooder type white women.
4. A lot of people learned a lot watching the floyd riots and mostly peaceful protesters burning down city blocks. A lot less of them will fall for the bullshit narrative this time and realize they better fight it from the very start. Many already started the same day.

The end result will be ICE going after them harder, which is awesome. It’s about damn time all the illegals be thrown out.

Thought this was interesting:

The Third Scenario: The Realist Version
In this scenario, the facts and the narrative put forward by the U.S. are questioned — but not in line with some incorruptible revolutionary fervor. The U.S. did illegally abduct the president of a country; whether he was legitimate or illegitimate is another discussion. But it did so in coordination with factions from his own government, in the execution of a planned coup. This possibility emerges from the loopholes in the military narrative as well as the subsequent political discourse.

The author seems to think it is all a big show (like Elon Mizrahi) – just the problem of the 100 or so dead to account for though.

Laguerre -The “only reason Iran’s economy is struggling” is NOT because of the US sanctions. The US sanctions, or better put the rest of the world’s inability to counter the US sanctions, is a large part of their problem; but they have many many other problems including severe corruption of the economy through govt sweetheart contracts and other issues.

Lovedonbass – FFS “and now Iran is in BRICS and China is a major trading partner, who cares about the currency relative to the Epstein dollar?”  Do you think a currency falling against the $$$ is not falling against other currencies (unless said other currencies are falling faster, of course)? Yes, the dollar is losing against gold, silver, etc. … the rial is losing much much faster. The govt cannot stop it because they have so little real assets and such a small overall economic basis. It’s a very hard problem and needs real changes in their economy and they are structurally and politically unable to make those changes, thus the people’s just rebellion. A govt that can’t meet the basic needs of its people needs to change and, as a great commenter here always says, things that can’t go on forever, don’t. The IR is on its last legs …

Apparently the US has withdrawn from 66 international organisations. Apparently these confer on themselves extra-legal and diplomatic immunity which are a convenient conduit for money laundering, drug trafficking and all sorts of other malarkey that US authorities cannot currently touch with their LEAs.
If true, and Krainer goes full Qtard here, it might explain the Trump regimes repudiation of international law.

So, yes, I have many family members in Iran itself currently, whom I talk with on a regular basis, and who also like myself have not love at all for the old Shah or his ludicrous son. But they also tell me things are continuing to get worse and are reaching levels intolerable for the poor/lower middle class. In the Americas what started with drug boats that killed 117 people (off the top of my head) and no drugs were found, then shifted into the famous shadow fleet. In Eurasian landmass (lol) what started as defending Israel has now shifted defending the protesters. My reading, all this are backdoors to Russia and China. Amazing how closely the US now follows the naval logic of the British Empire (Mackinder) albeit with more emphasis on the western hemisphere. The discourse also shifts, like the weird NYT article about how the US is “protecting” Maduro on his way from Brooklyn to Manhattan and back.

funny you think “citizenship” will save you. it’s really funny.

is that why are so obedient? cuz of how confident you are in your status as citizen?

you practice free speech cuz of your citizenship?

i guess saying, “death to jews,” cloistered away in a cell-phone free, but not FBI free, KKK meeting is a kind of free speech…

why don’t you go do an experiment in democracy:

go stand on a street corner with a sign saying “DEATH TO ISRAEL.”

we won’t ever hear you boasting about citizenship again.

now so much for the slave’s bought and paid for opinions.

Pax murikka was a continuation of Pax Brittanica.

The Brit passed on the baton to their gringo cousin without missing a beat.

Yup that’s the point, comrades, so far the US gone out of its way to protect US citizens, now under Trump they get shot. Someone said this is not going to lead to a civil war, and with the surveillance the population is under it may not. But do remember that the Arab Spring started with just one guy setting himself on 🔥 in Tunisia. You know the logic, there are these iconic singularities that compress and channel the collective frustration. Talk about optics going wrong.

I regularly use and have a lot of respect for AI.

I don’t think there are many purely AI comments.

There are a lot of lazy “thinkers” who get aggressive when they are found in error.

A person who can argue with conviction and not take the argument personally is rare.

I think Trump is trying to divert attention from the Epstein Files. He is also clinically insane. I agree. He was not like that 2 years ago. His mental state is deteriorating rapidly.

Calm down Francis, you’ll have an aneurysm.

duck and cover – Yes, the US has all kinds of problems of our own … we will or will not fix them on our own … all empires have their sell-by date, after all, and as Randy Newman said “the end of an empire is messy at best; and this one is ending like all the rest”. We will see what becomes of this one over time.
But none of this is any excuse for the idiocies of the IR … their corruption and misrule are all their own and the Iranian people themselves will be the final judge of whether a second revolution is needed to replace the first. It took the French how many tries to get to some level of a real republic? And a very imperfect one, for all that? Iran’s just on the first … they have a long way to go 🙂
Lovedumbass gets annoyed when his/her diarrhetic postings are called out for the BS they are … spamming comments and sheer weight of words are not a replacement for thought, however … again, LD, care to comment on your nonsense re the Rial’s inflation versus the dollar?

{preferred Trump over the blabbering incompetent person}
I cant believe you said this! Even Kama Lama Ding Dong in a blind blacked out ossified drunk stupor, is still more mentally competent than Forest Gump Trump. He did one thing – solidified the intellectual caliber of not only the entire US but perhaps the entire planet.
The man doesn’t exist. His entire persona is an absolute outright bona fide lie, a charade, a farce, a hologram and a mirage as solidified by the 34 felony counts his was convicted of for (drum roll please) LYING and falsifying his business records.
The man is two-bit shyster and even that’s a complement because if he had two living brain cells they’d kill each other. The man has been robbing from Peter to pay Paul his entire life as to give the appearance of great wealth which Barbara Walters exposed brilliantly proving to the world he was delusional but far worst today. Look how he cowardly says, you don’t have to say that.

Botton line, if this man were your doctor how fast would you run out of the office and yet millions of people are just as delusional as he is. There is no President DJT. Can you say political theater? The sooner people start to eliminating his name entirely, and instead, using the USA the faster this ruse will reach it’s immanent downfall. He was deliberately installed because he is the greatest distraction in the history of politics. People really need to worry regarding the magnitude of things going on behind the scenes while he is center stage.
The imbecile has airplane models on his desk, seriously people? Even Joe Biden is more cognitive then he is. What more possible proof does anyone need to see to realize he is severely learning disabled and most likely also on the spectrum, high functioning autism. He’s a man child, if that! I would bet anyone his IQ is borderline  and or in the low 70’s.
