Lot of stuff is happening at the same time.
Nothing reported in the western MSM about Saudi’s war with UAE. (well it’s already over, they beat them hard, and now even want  to start in  Sudan)
Never would think I would support SA but in this case they are the lesser evil against the UAE shameless Isntreal bootlickers.
Also they want to form an alliance with Turkey and Pakistan.
Together they may some day feel empowered to take on Iran, so not good in that sense.

Trump is now threatening Cuba and adding it to his long list of possible future victims.
Read somewhere that the Venezuela action was indirectly aimed at them since they depend on VZ oil.
Looks like they were right and all this was planned by Rubio the gusano.

Trump tweeted a blog post:

It will be an amazing winning streak… if it happens:

🔴 Two decades of Venezuelan communism.

🔴 Five decades of Iranian mullahs.

🔴 Nearly seven decades of Castro’s Cuba.

All of this could be reversed in 2026.

Not a moment of introspection apparent in any US leader.  All the countries Trump wants to overthrow and occupy have spent decades (Iran is going on its 2nd century) under sanctions, embargoes, and interference from the US and its allies.

Multiple bombings from Israel in Lebanon, and multiple bombings from the US in Syria:

American and partner forces have carried out strikes against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) targets across Syria in response to a deadly December attack, US Central Command has announced. [Hey, didn’t the US already respond to that attack? – Teri]

US forces conducted the attack as part of Operation Hawkeye Strikes, launched on December 19 following an ambush near Palmyra in which a jihadist fighter killed two American soldiers and their interpreter and wounded three other servicemen.

According to a CENTCOM statement, the US carried out “large-scale strikes” against multiple IS targets across the country.

“The strikes today targeted ISIS throughout Syria as part of our ongoing commitment to root out Islamic terrorism against our warfighters, prevent future attacks, and protect American and partner forces in the region,” CENTCOM said. It added that unspecified partner forces took part in the operation.

Washington maintains about 1,000 troops in Syria, which US President Donald Trump has said are needed to combat jihadist militants, including IS remnants. The Pentagon has gradually reduced its footprint in the country, shutting down three military bases last year.

Recent media reports have said Washington is considering deploying personnel to an airbase in Damascus as part of Trump’s push to expand cooperation with Syria’s new president, Ahmad al-Sharaa, a former leader of a jihadist group. […]

Do you think the USA’s recent declassification and release of the transcripts of Bush’s meetings with
Putin in April 2008 was an accident? Putin agreed that Iran’s leadership were “nutty” and they should not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. The whole thing is worth a read, but the “nuts” reference is on page 8. The game is to prevent them from getting too close.

https://nsarchive.gwu.edu/document/33711-document-3-memorandum-conversation-subject-meeting-president-russia

Then Obama/Biden showed up and screwed up 8 years of progress. Though it is also possible Bush & Co. were just playing Putin.

No they weren’t playing Putin.

Bush and Putin are both Jews.

Here is Putin from around July last year:

Of course, I am referring to peaceful nuclear energy and peaceful nuclear activities in other areas – and Israel’s interests in terms of the unconditional security of the Jewish state. This is a delicate issue, and of course, we need to be very careful here. However, in my opinion, such a solution can be found.

Qatar has been very mild in its AJE coverage of Iran. This is because Qatar got much closer to KSA after the UAE/Is axis was revealed. No one seems to notice that in Sudan, KSA and Egypt are fighting along the MB against UAE/Is for more than a year.
KSA deployed its navy (!) off the coast of Hadramaut to attack UAE troops supporting the independentists. It might also help when Iran will close the Hormuz Straight.

Not so fast, my man. Kurdistan is a highly educated , passionately Sunni, part of Iraq which Winston Churchill allocated to Iraq , whereas it had previously been just  a part of Kurdistan.

Other parts ate Turkish Kurdistan, Iranian Kurdistan,  and the SDF Kurds in Syria who are aligned with USUKIS.
This makes a corridor from Syria , directly to Iran. Iraqi Kurdistan’s government  after 2003 is  misaligned with Mossad.

Churchill was embareassed by the Iraqi Kurds when he asked for a boy to sleep with, and they gave him a girl with cut hair.
The Kurds are part of the ancient civilisation of the Assyrians. Quite a lot more ancient than you . Your level of self respect,  spiritual understanding and intellectual knowledge would be on a par with or lesser than the gay cigar smoker who carved up Kurdistan.

I think many people now understand how the US/USrael ’empire of chaos’ works around the world to destabilize leaders to provoke colour revolutions in their interests only.   I also think this newest move is about covering up the mess that has been made over Venezuela, continued murders in the GAZZA, ICE behaviour, the phantom of Epstein files still in the background, and the failure and waste of money of the Marinera capture.

Another failed attempt to destabilize Iran. It seems that after the violent riots started, most Iranians preferred the mechanism of self-defense instead of the unknown seeing what happened in other nations across ME or Africa. There was no way that normies in Iran would support foreign back Kurdish terrorists (the useful idiots that Israel & US regularly use) or the failed prince that gets way to over excited after a few days of protests.
You would think that Israel would’ve known by now that Pahlavi is a losing card with Iran but they still continue to associate with him. I always known that these people are arrogant but not stupid so continuing to bank on the same people, is counterproductive at best.
It’s also pretty obvious that the army will not support any wannabe monarch back in power. So any defection from the army is more or less out of the question.
So we are back to pre-riot phase, Iran still needs to deal with their economic problems but at least it got another boost of legitimacy with its people. This might be a moment for the current flock of leaders in Tehran to actually solve some of those problems, less useless rhetoric (if Israel & US want to attack, it will attack no matter the blabbering done in Tehran).
Also, China should start putting some weight into this. I understand that they have a diversified supply of oil which is smart but at the same time, Iran should be an important puzzle to their Belt & Road initiatives which means should try to help Iran economically more. Getting more oil from Iraq instead of Iran is stupid. Iran is more important that Iraq will ever be for their cause in the region. If not from a geopolitical point of view, at least for the returns that Iran would provide if it’s stable and a steady supply of oil or other resources.
I don’t expect Russia to help too much. Not only because of their shady relations with Israel but from the fact that they are as sanctioned as Iran is anyway, so helping them economically is pretty much non-existent. What they can do, is to make sure that Iran gets the arms that they paid for.

The problem is that Israel and the West listen to the stories the exiles tell them, people who tell them the religious regime is on the point of collapse, and just a little push will finish them. And they believe them, have believed them for 45 years. The exiles, who mainly come from the old governing class, now in the second generation, have a sense of entitlement to power. That these upstarts in power now, who mainly come from lower class origins, should give way to those who have a right to power.

Of course there is also a middle class preference for a secular state. But the mullahs have done a lot of social good, and things are more egalitarian now than they were under the shah. That’s why the regime is being defended.

I’d be surprised if Iran struck first. It would bring condemnations on the world stage, accusations of aggression and terrorism. @35,

The Iranian governments weakness is – that they’ll wait until the Yanks and the Zionists strike them first or, they’ll plan and do a Maduro in Iran – Iran MUST strike first and without warning

It is a weakness but at the same time, they are not either Russia & China. Without a significant sized nuclear stock or strong economy, they will be eventually destroyed. Sure, they might do quite a lot of damage to those US bases, but will they win such a fight? Without strong support from a country like China?
Do you think that the majority of Iran would want such retaliated destruction from US? Do you think those Arab lackeys will not intervene as well?
Sadly, Iran doesn’t have a lot of military options .. not with its economic & social problems. Not to mention, no real military ally in the region.
What are you are proposing is basically the destruction of Iran just to do some damage to US. That is not what smart countries or leaders do (maybe except Ukraine – but they are neither of those 2).

Posted by: JamesBond | Jan 12 2026 15:04 utc | 40

“It would bring condemnations on the world stage”

Laguerre (37).

Condemnation from who, the West – the Global South would probably do the same via lip service – but in the dark quiet corridors of the power in the Global South – many would be toasting Iran’s foresight to strike first – Israel in reality the illegal occupying military force that’s committing genocide can’t stand alone its weak and vulnerable, its days are surely numbered, only with the help of the US Terrorist/Pirate Regime and its cowardly backstabbing minions can it survive.

I said this before but with Venezuela in mind, if Cuba and Colombia had put as much military effort into aiding Venezuela as they did about verbally condemning the US Terrorist/Pirate Regimes plan for Venezuela – ie the three nations fighting as one – against the piracy and tyranny and thievery or the US Terrorist/Pirate Regime -Maduro might still be in Venezuela instead of a prison in New York.

Of course Greenland will fall to Trump,  with or without an invasion – simply because Trumps Nato minions are far too gutless to act in a stand up fight – back to Iran it will take courage and bravery to strike first – waiting until the US and Israel is ready to attack you and launching missiles after that (as they will expect) is weak and lame Iran MUST strike first or face the consequences.

Posted by: Republicofscotland | Jan 12 2026 15:29 utc | 41

That is not what smart countries or leaders do (maybe except Ukraine – but they are neither of those 2).

So what do smart Countries do put the white flag up to the Empire? we have the same nonsense everytime Russia doesn’t retaliate to Nato provocations and attacks in a forceful manner we are told because they are playing chess and not snakes and ladders and they won’t start WW3, well Nato don’t have any problem threatening starting WW3.

Posted by: Englishman | Jan 12 2026 15:33 utc | 42

 JamesBond (40).

Firstly Iran is under a plethora of illegal International sanctions – sanctions are war by other means – people are struggling because the US Terrorist/Pirate Regime – imposed the sanctions and US minions followed suit, mainly due to Iran wanting nukes to protect itself from the US Regime, (and even though Iran was going to comply with the JCPoA deal – the Yanks reneged on promises which is the usual),  and its scavenging corporate arm  – Israel wants Iran’s teeth pulled and Trump will duly oblige – an attack is coming, why wait why not pre-empt it – yes Iran will be outgunned, but it can do a helluva lot of damage before it falls – China and Russia have supplied it will modern weapons – weapons it must use – but Iran won’t strike first like China – its fears public condemnation more than it does destruction.

Lets face it Israel pulls Trump’s strings – and Iran is earmarked for some sort of change in their eyes, its going to happen – sadly the Iranians would rather play th victims of a US/Israel/Us minions attack than pre-empt one themselves.

Posted by: Republicofscotland | Jan 12 2026 15:41 utc | 43

@42,
I’m not saying that they should put a white flag. Maybe you should read your comment better. If Russia which has more staying power than Iran will ever have both in terms of military, economic, nuclear capacity doesn’t retaliate or preemptively strikes NATO or US, do you think Iran with less capacity than Russia can withstand better?
The fact that its year 4 and China, Russia, Iran are not in a military alliance yet, is the actual problem. Not sure where the problem is and what this hasn’t happened yet.

Posted by: JamesBond | Jan 12 2026 15:55 utc | 44

@43,
I’m sorry, but I don’t see it this way. Iran needs some significant military guarantees from other major powers before even embarking on this type of adventurism.
The point of fighting is to eventually win, not for the sake of fighting. In the current situation, Iran doesn’t have a chance to win. The reasons are the ones above.
1. No real ally in the ME or from the Arab/Muslim nations.
Most of the countries there are either vassals of US or too weak to even matter. Outside of the Houthis, there is no one in the region that will lift a finger to fight with Iran against US. Don’t count the US vassal Pakistan to do anything meaningful.
2. Economic situation
It’s pretty obvious if you look at the data, that the economy is not doing great. It was expected after the snapback sanctions that this situation will occur (of course those EU lackeys wanted this to happen). The economy matters if you want the country to resist at least in the short to mid term. Iran is currently not in that position. Perhaps China can assist but I’m not sure how much they want to at this point.
3. UN is useless
A war with US would mean terrible casualties to civilians in Iran. Both from their bombs but also from their proxies (Kurds, Balochs and other mindless people from that region). Since UN is basically dead, even if Iran would complain, it won’t matter. No strings would be put to US/Iran or any other proxy.
4. No alliance with a larger power
As I’ve said in the comment above, there is no military alliance with a nuclear based power – be it China or Russia.
Sure, even without a formal alliance, China or Russia might have an interest to hurt US, but that is not guaranteed. So Iran will have some empty promises like those UKR idiots have now.
Being UKR in 2026 is not smart in any way and I think Iranian leadership saw this. Yes, Iran might get caught in the same situation as 6 months ago, but think about it? If the war doesn’t work when US attacks, the pressure will be at their home, and we know that the American idiots care only when bodies start flowing back home.
If Iran attacks first, the propaganda media all around the world will make sure that they are sole responsible and the destruction will be much higher.

What will happen if Iran attacks or responds to attacks from Israel?
1. How much missile power do they have?
2. How strong is the Israeli air defense?
3. and 4. the same for Israel.
5. Is the result enhough to deter or humilate Israel?
6. At which point the destruction in Israel is so high, that the US will engage in the war?
Than the questions 1 to 5 start anew between Iran and the US.                                                                                                                        A formula with a lot of unknown factors.

Its not adventurism, is the best line of defence – and Iran doesn’t need to win – it just has to make a strong point – for me its as though smaller non nuclear nations not in the sphere of influence – know that they are going to be attacked eventually – and are if not content with that knowledge, at least, they accept it at some point, why should that be.

Take South and Central American nations – some have been attacked by the US and couped on several occasions- yet they don’t seem to learn from that experience – for when the Yanks come a calling in later years, the same scenario is played out – bow to Yankee pressure be couped or face an invasion – yes Iran will lose – yes they’ll be many casualties, as will their be Yankee and Zionist casualties, but in a terminology sense – a big dog would rather fight or threaten a smaller dog that won’t fight back, remember – Iran isn’t the aggressor here – Iranians would be – and are defending their homelands – there’s around 92 million Iranians – my point is one major sacrifice this time by Iran, will have the likes of Israel and the US thinking before they attack again – that’s if Zioland still exists after an Iranian attack.

Another point that just about everyone overlooks is Yankee Adventurism – couping and asset stripping other nations – and in some cases attacking nations – my point on this is the Yankee’s, think that their own homeland is untouchable no matter what shit they do to other nations – Iran could show the world that the likes of Washington isn’t untouchable.

@48,

Why should the Yanks swan around the globe – causing murder and mayhem and not feel the consequences of their actions back.

I agree with you here, they should feel the consequences of their actions. But they will feel it when those “so-called” great powers start acting as ones. Iran is not one of those. They are important in the region, they have the means to DEFEND themselves but not be the savior of the Globe or even the Global South.
What they want is to be left alone and not to be undermined constantly. That will not get better if they attack US first. Think about it. They will need to attack US installations in so called “sovereign countries” like Iraq/Qatar/Saudi Arabia and so on. Do you think these vassal states will sit idle and cheer Iran for it?
Iran will be seen as aggressor by all of these nations. Also, you mentioned US homeland not affect. And yes, you are right .. usual American idiot hasn’t “feel” for a long time that his homeland is untouchable. Does Iran have anything with which to attack American soil? It doesn’t. It doesn’t even have WMD to attack destroy significantly destroy Israel, what makes you think that they can do any better to US?
So again, what I’m saying is .. the current arsenal that Iran has is for their own defense .. nothing more. If US attacks and fails to deliver their regime change but get bloodied in the process, the consequences for that Orange Monkey will be catastrophic. Not to mentioned the global status that US will have afterwards.
Iran already showed that they are united when its a defensive war of their homeland. A preemtive strike doesn’t guarantee that this will happen.
I know its easy for us to comment from our couches, but what exactly are we from the West doing to stop the mayhem that US is inflicting to the world? Why do we expect other nations to take the brunt of the destruction to prove a point instead of us choosing better and rational leaders?

 JamesBond (51).

Great powers acting as one – well China is a great power and it let a great trading partners (Venezuela) democratically elected president be kidnapped by the Yanks – Iran is a major BRICS member – will China act if the Yanks and the Israel’s attack Iran, I very much doubt it superpower or not – they cannot be relied upon, when the Yanks and the Zionists come a calling.

Iran will never be left alone don’t you get it, Israel wants it couped or destroyed, and Trump will instruct his forces to do one or the other – Israel feels threatened by Iran so its only a matter of time before Trump attacks it – I read recently if true, that Putin has given Iran the Oreshnik missile – if so it should prepped to use when the time is right.

Yes its easy for us to comment – we’re not in the firing line yet, but it looks like the same old story will be played out in Iran, appeasement and kowtowing from the Iranians to the Yanks the Zionists and of course the IAEA.

I am not posting the entire article here, but if you are interested, do read the whole thing.  It is not too awfully long and very interesting; although you will be angered by the facts that the US has kept dismissing or delaying any justice for this man, has never been held accountable for any of its crimes against him, has never actually charged him with a crime, and still refuses to release him from Guantanamo.

UK settles out of court in case brought by Guantanamo prisoner, Abu Zubaydah, for UK’s complicity with the US in torture and abuse of him.  A couple of paragraphs:

“It is important, symbolically and practically, that the UK pays for its role in our client’s torture,” said Helen Duffy, international counsel to Zubaydah and director of Human Rights in Practice. “While no amount of money can undo the harm suffered, it provides a measure of redress and recognition of his intolerable suffering at the hands of the CIA, enabled by the UK.”

Zubaydah, a stateless Palestinian who grew up in Saudi Arabia, was the first detainee transferred into the CIA’s post-9/11 secret detention programme. He was subjected to some of the most extreme forms of abuse documented during the period, including prolonged sleep deprivation, confinement in coffin-sized boxes, beatings, stress positions and repeated waterboarding.

According to the US Senate’s 2014 torture report, Zubaydah was waterboarded at least 83 times in a single month. The report also made clear that he was never a senior al-Qaeda leader, despite early US claims that he was the group’s “number three”.

UK involvement in his case came into sharper focus following a 2018 parliamentary report, which found that British intelligence agencies had sent questions to the CIA to be put to Zubaydah while knowing he was being tortured.

The report concluded that the UK failed to seek assurances about his treatment and did not take meaningful steps to prevent his abuse.

Zubaydah’s legal team argued that this amounted to active encouragement and assistance in torture, in violation of both domestic and international law. […]
Despite these findings, no senior officials in the US or allied countries have been held accountable for abuses committed under the CIA’s torture programme, with many cases dismissed on grounds of state secrecy.

Legal experts say the UK settlement underscores both the persistence of victims seeking justice and the ongoing failure of governments to fully reckon with the legacy of the war on terror.

“This case is deeply relevant today,” Duffy said, “as some states continue to ride roughshod over international law and the world looks to others to respond. This settlement is a step in the right direction, but it is flimsy justice while his rights continue to be violated at Guantanamo and responsible states look the other way.”

Adelaide writers’ week 2026 cancelled

(Snip)…In a statement on Tuesday afternoon, the Adelaide festival board announced the event, which was scheduled to begin on 28 February, would no longer go ahead. The three remaining members of the festival board have resigned immediately, after the resignations of four other…

…On Tuesday, the board apologised to Abdel-Fattah “for how the decision was represented”.
“[We] reiterate this is not about identity or dissent but rather a continuing rapid shift in the national discourse around the breadth of freedom of expression in our nation following Australia’s worst terror attack in history,” it added….

In a statement, Abdel-Fattah said she rejected the festival board’s apology, accusing it of being “disingenuous” and saying it “adds insult to injury”.
“It is clear that the board’s regret extends to how the message of my cancellation was conveyed, not the decision itself,” she wrote.
“Once again the board, citing the ‘national discourse’ for an action that specifically targets me, a Palestinian Australian Muslim woman, is explicitly articulating that I cannot be part of the national discourse, which is insulting and racist in the extreme.
“The board again reiterates the link to a terror attack I had nothing to do with, nor did any Palestinian. The Bondi shooting does not mean I or anyone else has to stop advocating for an end to the illegal occupation and systematic extermination of my people – this is an obscene and absurd demand.”

Gaza ‘Board of Peace’ Will Hold First Meeting At Davos, Palestinian-American Intermediary Sayse

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/gaza-board-peace-will-hold-first-meeting-davos-palestinian-american-intermediary-says

“The US plans to announce its Gaza ‘board of peace’ next week and hold its first meeting on the sidelines of the Davos Economic Forum, according to a Palestinian-American mediator close to the Trump administration.

Bishara Bahbah served as an intermediary between Hamas and the Trump administration before the ceasefire was signed in October. Bahbah, who previously led ‘Arab Americans For Trump’, was instrumental in building support for the US president ahead of the 2024 election.

Last week, Nickolay Mladenov met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority Vice President Hussein al Sheikh. A former Bulgarian diplomat who served as the UN envoy for Middle East peace, Mladenov has been tapped as the peace board’s executive.

After leaving the UN, he moved to the UAE, where he has been teaching at their diplomatic academy…”

Zionist propaganda and the American taxpayer is funding it.

“Israel has adopted a new lobbying approach in Washington by engaging pro-Trump social media influencers – WSJ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has held multiple meetings with conservative podcasters and influencers in recent times, encouraging them to promote pro-Israel messaging and back tougher policies toward Iran. The documents indicate plans to spend roughly $900,000 on influencer campaigns targeting US audiences, as Israeli officials try to push back against growing anti-Israel sentiment on the American right.”
