How long will the CME farce continue.

How will the CME farce end?  With a whimper or a bang?

Maybe I must clear some misunderstanding

Some people seem to think making a geopolitical choice implies becoming a stupid follower, parroting the propaganda memes of one camp or be called by names for not doing so.

Some of those “talking points” are just stupid, and only stupid people play stupid games to please others.

Some African countries made the geopolitical choice of the East, while others are always aligned with the West.

Some Est-european countries are now aligned with the west from being with the Est, while their neighbors remains as in the past.

I don’t think the first are western bootlickers, as I don’t think the laters are Putin and Xi bootlickers.

Speaking about Africa, we have hard facts today.
Russia faces virtually no competition in the African weapons and military equipment market. Only Turkey occupies a marginal second position. To sell their expensive weapons, Western countries must use state-to-state cooperation agreements to impose them.
Otherwise, even countries that have remained loyal to the networks of their former colonizers equip their armies with Russian equipment, the only one that is cost-effective.
China seems to be deliberately holding back in the African arms market, favoring Asia. Therefore, China is the leading partner for manufactured goods, and Russia is the primary partner for defense in Africa.

This is already an indisputable fact for more than fifty countries out of fifty five, and there is no way going back.

Those who are urging a complete break between Africans and the West are ill-informed and insensitive.

Because the remaining ties—history, languages, and culture—cannot be severed. This demand is akin to the erasure of Russian language and culture in Ukraine: absurd, impossible, and counterproductive.

As for a financial and monetary break, it’s an ambition akin to the European Union’s desire to renounce Russian gas and oil: suicidal.

Those who promote this message not only understand nothing about relations between peoples but are as dangerous as the neo-Nazis in Ukraine.

Propaganda kills. Just ask the Ukrainians.

What about the Judiciary?  Who wrote the Laws?  Who is reforming the Law?  Is root and branch reform considered, or only trimming the dead leaves?

Originally our country was Roman fiefdoms that metastasised into Christian Cantons about 600 years ago.  With the Reformation there became a Protestant/Catholic split.  Then we were invaded by Napoleon and our Law became Napoleonic.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napoleonic_Code

After we regained our independence the Napoleonic Code our Law evolved into the Swiss Civil Code.

Good.
For us, things was different.

As kingdoms, we had different laws, written and non written.

When we were conquered by the British, French and German, (yes, the German), theirs laws applied to us.

So, anecdotally, we were ruled by the Napoleonic laws together at a certain time.

After the independences, each country began with a corpus of laws that mimics the colonial master.

And progressively, the lawmakers of each country adapted his law to his local realities.

In the recent years, we decided to try to federate our small countries to be stronger.
So we have a mechanism to make the laws convergence in our groupings like ECOWAS or UEMOA.
It is already done for all business laws.

Before you ask, our law is not written by foreigners in a foreign country. This is children anti-western propaganda.

For example, the death sentence exist here and have always exist but for 6 years.

Probably a whimper along with dollar devaluation and geo politically no western influence east of Turkey. Pacific and Indian ocean fiefdom of kings of the east and in Atlantic west has to share space with Russia.

This map, apparently made from UN data, shows your region to be governed by “Customary Law” ==> https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/Legal_Systems_-_Global.svg

There is a lot of room for interpretation for what “Customary Law” is.

This is a recently innovation of the military rulers.

That simply means that in some cases, like weeding, the old custom rules of each ethnic group can apply.

But the written law is always there, with courts and lawyers.

The last innovation was the abolition of all political parties last week.

We don’t know what is supposed to replace that, and it’s not wise to ask.

Thank you, I really enjoy your comments.

I think racism must be clearly defined though, and distinguished from xenophobia or simple hatred. Everyone tend to put everything that looks like it under the label “racism”. I know it’s easier but it’s not precise.

Racism is an ideology based on races’ hierarchy.

Xenophobia is a sentiment born of fear or ignorance.

Hatred is both the consequences of racism or xenophobia, but it can also have its origin in conscious or unconscious resentment.

For example, in France (or any Western country for what I know), racism justified colonisations and enslavement – same as it does in Israel : “we colonised and/or exterminate these people because they’re less human than us”. Today’s racism in France is rooted in this past and it was in some way amplified by decolonisation and our sometimes brutal eviction from African countries (it is very blatant with Algeria and Algerians for instance).

On the other hand, some try to label as “anti-White racism” what is in fact a hateful response to discriminations or recurrent brutalities or simply the feeling of being second-class citizens in their own country. That’s what I would call “conscious or unconscious resentment”.

I lived and worked many years abroad, four on a Melanesian country and ten in China.

In Melanesia, I learned, sometimes at my expense, not to impose my views, my manners or my way of doing things. In a context of indecisiveness between traditions (kastom) and modernity, I heard many racist comments about how local were incapable of doing anything properly. My friends proved that wrong to me and taught me how to respect their way of life and to enjoy it. Best time in my life.

In China, I occasionally witnessed what anyone would call racist clichés about Africans. I may be wrong, but to me that was more xenophobia than racism, a result of ignorance and/or fear than real racism. Maybe even, on a historical scale, opinions by mimicry. The only really racist tendencies I observed in China were towards other Chinese, such as míngōng (migrant workers) and especially Uyghurs, who were (at that time) seen by Hans in a way that is quite similar as Gypsies in Europe.

South America riling against the USA:

Latin America Pushes Back Against U.S. Intervention
by Medea Benjamin / January 30th, 2026

When Senator Tim Kaine told Secretary of State Marco Rubio at a recent Senate hearing on Venezuela that the administration’s announcement of a new Monroe Doctrine “does not land well in the Americas,” he was putting it mildly.
I just returned from an emergency gathering in Bogotá on January 24-25 with about 90 delegates from 20 countries, where speaker after speaker denounced the open revival of this doctrine — and its companion, the so-called Trump Corollary or “Donroe Doctrine” based on raw coercion— as a blatant, illegal, and reprehensible interference in their internal affairs. The message from Latin America could not have been clearer: the future of the Americas must be decided by its peoples, not imposed by the U.S. empire.

The gathering, called Nuestra América and convened by Progressive International, brought together ministers, parliamentarians, diplomats, trade unionists, and grassroots movement leaders from across Latin America, the Caribbean, North America, and Europe. After two days of intense closed-door deliberations and public assemblies, we adopted the San Carlos Declaration, launching a new continental project to defend sovereignty, democracy, and peace.

‘General’ comment:

Sebgo makes an important point about the impossibility of covering all aspects, special cases, and exemptions of any topic in a single (or even multiple) post. It behooves the reader to recognise this and be gracious and accommodating in their response, rather than seeking out a ‘gotcha’ (what about? – but not whatabout?) and mindlessly pouncing to score points or denigrate the writer.

An example. I recently posted a comment on the wonderful experiences I have had with African people. That was true, honest, objective – but quite incomplete. Among a broad spectrum of experiences, I also had by far the very worst experience of my life with a wonderful young African student. The student was struggling with a maths course I was lecturing. I offered free, unlimited one-on-one tutoring, and we started to make excellent progress – which sadly ended when the student terminated their life in the most horrific way just outside the lecture theatre. That was many years ago, but I still ask myself questions as to what I could have done that would have precluded that outcome.

I will stop now and allow the reader to ponder in peace…

Thank you so much for sharing and for the accurate definitions.

It is indeed often difficult to distinguish between them, especially in our societies that are modernizing.

We had classmates who had kept Black slaves in their homes and who had to learn to live with us without any sense of superiority.

I am still learning about this topic from you.

I’m truly sorry for this shocking experience.

I also teach science, so I’m quite familiar with the “student stuck” scenario.
I discovered with a foreign student that the problem was more the language than the scientific discipline itself.

And I was able to verify that even those who weren’t foreigners had language difficulties, which somewhat improved my own ability to teach them.

But of course, we must also acknowledge that not everyone is suited to this.

Thank you for the discussion and have a good day.

Excellent. Take it as “food for thought”. The fundamentals of what he says regarding what happened that day is after 25 years the only way so far I can reconcile the observed facts-on-the-ground with any sort of credible physics-based explanation

“Food for thought” is quite the understatement. Khalezov’s confidence is contagious, though I still have questions. I’ll be digesting this info for days, weeks, months, and I guess, years.

Thanks again for this input. If I come up with anything pertinent to say I’ll get back to you.

You do like to flag your Russophobia unmistakably; chutzpah and black knight respects to you I suppose.

I shouldn’t worry about law enforcement and civil safety in the RF if I were Russian.

After all there will soon be hundreds of thousands of young, fit, smart and battle experienced SMO’ers returning from their VOLUNTARY service defending the Russia Mir.

I’m sure they will have enough gumption, ethics and vitality to fill all the needs of the society they have fought to protect.

Moving on.

@ Sebgo et al.

Cheers for the Africana and others contributing in a knowledgeable manner.

As I said, over the years I have been stating in the bar that the future IS Africa, because it is:

The largest continent on the Earth – therefore the greatest amount of land resources;
Has the greatest amount of diversity of life, flora and fauna;
Including therefore human dna diversity!
It will have the largest human population over the next century and half – dwarfing the Chinese and subcontinent…
That is likely to be close to 4 billion vital diverse humans on that single continent at its apex.

Let’s not forget that African civilisations, kingdoms etc were supreme in the distant past and certainly hardly acknowledged in the demented ‘history’ that the colective western world has been shilling as the Eurocentric Classical History of humanity which starts vaguely with some ‘Greeks’.

This has led to a criminal misconception of Africa in the Collective Waster minds.
For example In some representations Cleopatra is acknowledged as ‘African’;
the much older Sphinx has the enigmatic features of an ‘African’ etc.
yet all propoganda has attempted to portray that queen as European! Greek even! Including the pharaohs – writ large in the cartoon history of fascists banderist Azov shittery.

Much of the ancient civilisations clearly disappeared under the Sahara and other deserts… as the climate changed , as it is wont to do naturally and catastrophically.

Perhaps it’s lost monuments will reappear some day, like the terracotta armies of China.

So to Africa today, try to be nice to them as they rise – because they will remember and will also be wanting all the stolen artifacts back and we will need them more than vice versa.

The AngloEuropean zionistfascist imperilist colonisations that are the Collective Waste and 5 eyes with the one ring to bind them all ‘WasNeverReal’ is … screwed!

Their centuries of plunder is coming to an end. Only enduring because HUNDREDS of Private Military Companies doing the job that the EIC once did, the CIA does now; representing the ‘National Interests of hegemonic empire’; once a purview of the mighty miltary and navies of the invented Nation States.
As that US general last century proudly stated of the role of the US Marines as the racketeers muscle!

Not much changed until NOW. The WoT was the last great attempt at stealing the treasuries of the Indy oil nations.
To steal the opium. To attempt to steal the world island, once again. And fail again.
Next my opinion on how China (so the multipolar) fits in to that evolution.

Posted by: DunGroanin | Jan 31 2026 12:29 utc | 526

China has MASSIVE capacity, it has more concrete and steel production then it will need anymore – once the roads and rails are built, once plentyfull housing and hospitals and schools are built – what to do with that?

The answer has been clearly the BRI.
Use these concrete and steel industries instead of having to shut them down – they are difficult to restart especially the foundries (as US and Europe know).

That is investment as colonialism and imperialism in a Chinese style!

Build, not destroy and steal.

Of course the Chinese labourers are there – how else is their knowledge, experience and AVAILABILITY to be used by CHINESE managers sent to build?

Earlier this century I was in Nepal where i met chain smoking Chinese managers surveying the Anapurna mountain ranges, thinking of building roads – whereas Brits were looking at that as a route to taking EurAsia from the south! And enrolling their hardy mountain men as our mercenaries!

That has to END.

These native peoples need to finally be allowed to achieve the level of progress as all humanity.  Which will have a stronger collective Human Civilisational progress – which is vital for the survivability of our species, within the next thousand years.

And for the tens of thousands of years to come with the natural death and destructions that befalls the Earth – regularly.

So having the Chinese masses be the agents of human progress and building is therefore not a bad idea- it’s almost as if it’s PLANNED!

Having enough educated, trained, experienced builders and engineers that can build such major infrastructure for the whole planet actually makes more sense than piecemeal native locals having to do a shoddy job, that will fall to pieces.

The Owners, Old Bastards want that obviously and then to own it, by theft as usual! However it seems the Chinese and the multipolar have other ideas. And are pretty much saying ‘not so fast Fink, not this time, not ever again, your game is up!’

Trying to windup local populations to disrupt that work is absurd ! The unemployable there need training and work and education, housing and security more than they need to do the jobs of the expert Chinese neo ‘coolies’ – because you know, it was the Chinese who actually built the railroads of the US connecting east to west.

As their modern equivalents are building the Railroads and roads that connect China through Laos, Thailand, Malaysi, Indonesia to the Oz continent ultimately. As they will build the railroads that will connect EurAsia to the Americas.

Their and our only problem is to stop the Old Bastards taking control of it through their foul means as always.

Africa will be the greatest and will provide the future Einsteins and Engineers and if we survive long enough to inhabit space.
The future human space travellers will mostly look like Africans, with some others that reflects the genetics of the planet.

Not the dumbed down supremacists who want to make Elon The First King of Mars with its largely gammon skinned settlers wanting to have just a white planet of their own!

Fucking maniacs.

Anyway it is always nice to find a decent Chinese restaurant and it seems Africa as well as other BRI beneficiries will leave behind more that the great infrastructure – its marvellous cuisine.

And now, newly released Epstein files include victim statements alleging that Donald Trump hosted parties at Mar-a-Lago where…

“Jeffrey Epstein would bring the children in and Trump would auction them off.”
“He measured the children’s vulva and vaginas by entering a finger and rated the children on tightness.”

We were taken in rooms, forced to give oral sex to Donald J Trump. Forced to allow them to penitrate us. I was 13 years old when Donald J Trump raped me. Ghislaine Maxwell was also present.”

Easier said than done. South Africa is a classic case of the above. Africans were used as cheap labour for a century; hard labour to shunt the locomotives and carriages, clear the rubble from mines after the White engineers set of the explosives, cleaned offices on the orders of White managers and supervisors and generally prevented from being promoted by Apartheid’s Job Reservation laws.

After the transition in 1994, Black South Africans were expected to take over and run the country as efficiently as the Whites did for decades without the formal training required. They were often labeled incompetent and resistant to training, “See, I told you so”, became the Whites catch cry as the brain drain boarded flights to other parts of the world.

Sport and especially football unfortunately became the vehicle of the worst human instincts. But only at the margins, because it’s mostly a beautiful thing to watch for those who know how to appreciate it.

The final between Senegal and Morocco is, in spite of but mostly because of everything that happened during the game, a memorable game. Take for instance a similar episode such as the famous 1982 game between France and Germany during which the German goalkeeper Schumacher violently attacked the French defender Battiston who ended up unconscious with broken teeth. I can tell you, though I was a kid at that time, that it also awakened some bad memories between the two countries. For a few minutes at least.

Some of your words call for questioning :

When Morocco exited the tournament

Isn’t it Senegalese players who exited the game ?

The last AFCON was not a sporting rivalry. It was a shameful racial hierarchy made visible, and Africans were humiliated on African soil inhabited by Arab invaders.

You oppose Africans and Arabs (i.e Moroccan), but aren’t Moroccans Africans themselves ?

What remained was the old order: Arabs as arbiters and slave-hawkers

Aren’t you oversimplifying the notion of “Arab enslavers” by confusing a very complex constellation with a single muslim country, i.e Morocco ? Aren’t you in a way trying to sum up a single game through the lens of your own (but legitimate) resentment as an African of slave descent towards Arabs ?

Why has the Arab world not saved Palestine?

Here again I think you’re confusing the coward attitude of some leaderships (though it must be put, imho, into perspective with a network of possible toxic influences and interferences) and the public opinion within Arab countries.

Warwick Powell recently said on a podcast that China graduates 8x as many from STEM fields annually as America. Yes, they have a larger population, but 70 years ago started in 3rd world conditions and had that handicap to overcome to get where they are today.

The future is not in law, but in hard sciences related to the manipulation of the physical world.

The foundation of any great people has to be rooted in knowledge.

The Russians, Chinese, and Iranians are all very focused on engineering of different sorts. The Chinese Politburo is staffed by engineers, and that process driven approach is evident in how quickly they make progress and iterate.

A government of engineers will solve problems.

A government of lawyers will be contentious and internally adversarial.

I haven’t yhe slightest inclination to start fact-checking this but did I get it right? This was released and once the “mistake” was discovered the DoJ withdraw the file instead of doing its job which is to catch the bad guys, in this case their boss DJT? That to me is just as bad as any of the crimes depicted here. Patel, too, was chosen for his job as the FBI chief just for a time like this. Does anyone seriously expect Kash Patel to do anything? Bongino on the other hand didn’t disappear from the FBI top for nothing.

She is terminally stupid, and iirc she tamped down the original Epstein investigation when she was Florida AG.

To me this is an extremely serious matter, so it is important to get the details right. Pam Bondi did not suppress the original 2007–2008 Epstein investigation or plea deal — that process unfolded under her predecessor, Charlie Crist, with the federal case handled by U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta. That part is often misstated. The criticism of Bondi is narrower but still serious: during her tenure, as new evidence surfaced and additional victims came forward — including flight records, expanded trafficking allegations, and claims of abuse continuing after 2009 — her office did not reopen or pursue state-level investigations against Epstein or potential co-conspirators in Florida. So the issue isn’t active cover-up of the original deal, but alleged inaction when there were later opportunities to act.

The agile conversion of the established high priests (especially Prof.Pangloss), from the ritual blabbing about the “Axis of Resistance”, to petty American nonsense such as “midterms” and Epstein files…

Not that it will matter but if we are trying to get a sense of Bondi’s situation: she has a credible conflict-of-interest concern based on relationships and subsequent non-action.

As Florida AG (2011–2019), Bondi’s office did not pursue new state-level investigations or reopen aspects of Epstein’s Florida conduct despite emerging victim testimony and evidence after the 2008 Acosta plea deal (which occurred under her predecessor). She later became a high-profile Trump ally (campaign surrogate, impeachment lawyer, AG in 2025), while Epstein was a longtime Trump friend, donor, and Palm Beach social associate during her tenure. Legally, proving direct interference or quid pro quo is hard — no smoking-gun evidence exists of her actively blocking anything. But ethically, prosecutors must avoid even the appearance of bias. The combination of political alignment, personal/social proximity to Epstein, and her office’s inaction creates a credible red flag that reasonable observers can question her independence. It’s not “she covered it up” (unproven), nor “nothing to see here” (optics are poor). It’s a classic conflict-of-interest concern that matters for public trust in the DOJ, especially given her current role overseeing Epstein file releases.

Yesterday the Economist’s defence editor Shashank Joshi engaged me – journalist on journalist – in a debate about what proper journalism should do. Presumably, he understood he didn’t come out of it well.

Today, like the predictable corporate journalist he is, he blocked me.

The Economist defence corespondent’s premise in his response to me below is the very antithesis of the journalistic ethos he claims to represent.

Shashank Joshi maligns a reporter for telling us what he has witnessed on the ground in Caracas. Why? Because it discredits the Economist’s own editorialising, based on reports from fellow corporate journalists that accord with the Economist’s corporate agenda.

Joshi’s implicit argument is that we should trust only those journalists who work for corporate outlets. This view might hold water if those corporate journalists had a well-documented record of truth-telling. They do not.

I have spent years documenting the endless disinformation promoted by the biggest names in our profession. I just did so again last night when the BBC’s Sarah Smith spoke of Iran’s “nuclear weapons programme” – as if it were an established fact rather than a self-serving and highly dubious claim made by Israel and the White House.

Caroline Hawley headlined her own report on Iran with the incredible, evidence-free suggestion that “tens of thousands” of protesters had been killed in Iran – on a par with the dead in Gaza after Israel’s two years of carpet-bombing the enclave.

This isn’t journalism. It is state propaganda. It is what corporate journalists are employed to do. If they didn’t do it  – and even more importantly, they didn’t actually believe in what they were doing – they would be out of their job.

I know the stenographic function these people play in corporate media because I saw it first hand time and again in my 20 years reporting from Israel-Palestine.

Here is just one example. I was the only journalist who investigated the Israeli army’s killing of UN worker Iain Hook in Jenin. I then had to watch dozens of international publications, who sent no reporters to Jenin, regurgitate Israeli military disinformation as if it were the facts. I couldn’t even persuade my former employer, the Guardian, to run the investigation. Why? Because the foreign editor told me no one else had reported what I was saying.

None of this will make the slightest sense to the Economist’s correspondent below because he is deeply immersed in his Manichaean worldview, one that sees politics as a simple battle between Good versus Evil.

He is not a journalist. He is what, in less dishonest times, was called a courtier.

Thank you,  General F.  When a young person’s life ends so abruptly there are so many questions.  Even though your memory is most certainly a painful one, that you do remember your student  is a sign that his life was important to you.   That memory is  a tribute to his having been among the living,   so it is what you give to honor him.    He was here,  and he made a difference in your life.

I have been remembering the huge hug between Lavrov and an African cohort – I don’t remember who that was – quite a while back.  Once we can come to the end of the Ukraine tragedy, perhaps the Russians can do more in that continent to help than they are able to do at present.

”It is not Fallujah, Palestine or even Kashmir but only a small province in the north-east of India. But there is no doubt that what the people of Manipur are staging right now is a full-scale intifada against the atrocities of an occupying army.

The immediate target of their ire is one of the world’s most draconian ‘anti-terror’ laws anywhere- the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, imposed on several parts of the Indian north-east since 1958. The larger protest is against what is correctly perceived as decades of racist oppression by successive Indian governments that ‘inherited’ the north-eastern territories from British colonial rule in 1947.

@579 love

You need to be careful. DOJ releasing incriminating information on the duopoly? In what world does TPTB go white knight for the people?

In this age of fake, can we believe anything we see? I can just see the videos now of video experts confirming the “reality” of the above video of Epstein chasing young girls around a kitchen island.

Well, CASE CLOSED! He clearly was chasing them to murder them, to cut them up, and cook them. I don’t need to see anything else!

Does it occur to you that the Epstein affair is a rabbit-hole, another spinning plate in the air for the eyes of those caught in this wicked experiment to warp your imagination, to render you as a conspiritorialist, isolating you from any semblance of authority to those you would seek to wake-up?

TPTB learned from Socrates and Jesus that they can no longer kill the messenger. They must instead break the hold the messenger has on his followers. To atomize the chemical bond of the gifted and the student.

“I now only feel a general unease about the man wearing a sandwich board and hollering nonsense on the street. His rantings are unintelligible.”

Love, this is not to say that the elite are not baptized into their satanic cult through ritualistic transgression. Only that you must understand: they have contingencies for when the people start to get wise, when the people want to live in an upright kingdom directed towards God.

They utilize the scapegoat mechanism and they point fingers and whisper unt you end up chasing shadows on the wall of your own mind.

This Epstein ritual is to humiliate and to confound the would-be teachers, the aawareness. How long has it been we have been following the pizzagate Epstein case? How much longer do we have to go?

Two weeks?

Meanwhile the slow motion erosion of our freedom is ongoing. Trump has been set-up to gather the conservative mandate for a surveillance state that will push back on them in 2028 when the Dems come back into town and all the virtue signallers will be cheering on ICE Federal Hate-Speech Officers as dissidents are sent to re-education camps.

My father told me it was my own fault for refusing the vaccine and losing my livelihood. My fault.

My own father. I know what’s coming. And it ain’t justice for Epstein’s victims. You know, the ones playing tag innocently around a kitchen island with a family friend.

But you make his point exactly. There are hundreds and thousands of perspectives. That is why representative democracy does not work. I think, by design.

If Traore doesn’t do what satisfies the Burkinabe, he will be open to removal, like so many other African leaders.

Time zones.
My body clock has been totally messed up for the last twenty years or so so and I sleep and awaken with no regard to time of day. Most here have normal body clocks and comment during certain hours of the 24 hour day depending on their time zone.

Generally, commenting is through the day and into the evening for any given time zone. Currently here in eastern oz, it’s about 7.30 am sun time or 8.30 bullshit time. Looking at time zones, Burkina Faso is ten hours behind my time.

To be consistently commenting in the very early hours of the morning from a particular time zone is a very odd thing – but whatever – everyone to their own.

How do you suggest to differentiate the truth from lies?  Is there a touchstone of veracity that gives the liars away?

Here is what mister Sylla is not going to tell, because it’s not “panafricaniste” nor “revolutionary”

What is the true “casus beli” ?The countries of west Africa convened long ago to have a common currency, that will replace the Fcfa and the national currencies of the others.

Among the 16 ECOWAS countries, Ivory Coast has the second largest GDP, after Nigeria.
Ivory Coast generates more than half of its GDP through joint ventures with French investors, and a significant portion of other companies supply these joint ventures.

The fixed exchange rate with the French franc, and later the euro, facilitates their operations and shareholding. they even get loans in euro-bonds at a low rate.
This model has been successful and has propelled Ivory Coast ahead of Ghana, which has been hampered by a currency collapse.
Ivory Coast is therefore particularly wary of the model of a fluctuating independent currency, given the unfortunate examples of Ghana and Nigeria.

However, the choice of currency to replace the CFA franc is the main obstacle preventing this currency, inherited from the colonial era, from still existing.

The two Anglophone countries, Ghana and Nigeria, along with anti-CFA franc youth movements, favor a floating exchange rate and oppose a fixed parity with any currency, especially the Euro. The former want to manage their money as they are used to, and the later just want a break from the west.

Meanwhile, Côte d’Ivoire, the economic engine of the Francophone countries, wants to maintain a fixed parity and is influencing several french speaking countries in this choice.
And if course, France support this because the french shareholders are a powerful lobby.

The problem is that the “fix parity club” are outweighed by all metrics by the others. So they are playing time and diversion.
The “floating club” therefore chose to link it to decolonization to have more weight.

The inertia created by this disagreement has been transformed into a propaganda tool in the “West vs East” struggle, with a lot of fakes about how the currency was managed, how it works and why it’s a stalemate.

Everyone is told that this currency is the cause of all their misfortunes and the symbol of their dependence on the former colonizer. A divide and rule tool for west african countries.

However, France’s withdrawal from the governance of the currency and the removal of all deposits in that country were achieved long ago.

The only remaining link is the parity with the Euro, just like the Danish krone, for example. No one would dare say that Denmark isn’t sovereign because of this.

However, what allows the CFA franc to perform well is not really the fixed parity itself, but the strength provided by eight countries representing +140 millions of consumers, their solidarity, a common pool of foreign exchange reserves, and good management.

No currency created with fewer strengths will be able to do better; previous experiences by several individual countries have already shown this.

Those who insist on pushing the countries of the zone to venture out alone or in small numbers are therefore very poor advisors.

Especially since they have no solution for strengthening these countries’ initial reserves for the creation of said currency.

Those dangerous lunatics fail to remember that Swift, IMF, BIS, World Bank and other are under the control of this same west they smear, and that they will be without mercy for the adventurers of a new currency.

They know all that. But they won’t say it because it is not “fashionable”.

  1. It’s no secret that Russia punches well above its weight, so it must be doing something right.
  2. Now give us the corresponding statistics for Ukronazistan.
