Als claiming the ziofascist propagandist bbc is also the actual opposite! They probably won’t survive Trumps £5 billion law suit! And their top level is CIA mockingbirds and ziofascist aristos.

petition to end sanctions against JACQUES BAUD:
https://free-baud.org/

This far and no further!

We protest against the unlawful sanctions against Colonel Jacques Baud and the EU’s war policy!

With its latest sanctions package, the EU has sanctioned military historian and former colonel in the Swiss Army and the Swiss Strategic Intelligence Service, as well as a member of the Swiss General Staff, Jacques Baud. Baud is a Swiss citizen and lives in Brussels. He is no longer allowed to leave Belgium, his assets have been seized, his accounts are frozen, and his books may no longer be sold.
Jacques Baud has worked for NATO and the United Nations, among others. He is an impeccable scholar and a man of honor. His books meet the highest standards of scholarly historical analysis. He works with strict neutrality, adhering to the principle that both sides must be heard.
It is not a crime to name the true reasons for the war in Ukraine. It is not a crime to draw readers’ attention to falsehoods and the EU’s and NATO’s own propaganda. It is not a crime to point out the West’s thoughtless cooperation with Ukrainian forces that exhibit dangerous proximity to fascists.
The EU Council of Ministers is destroying the foundations of freedom of expression with arbitrary punitive measures against Jacques Baud and a total of 59 journalists and scientists.
These sanctions are illegal and violate international law because they were not imposed by the UN Security Council. The expert opinion by former European Court of Justice judge Professor Dr. Ninon Colneric and legal scholar Professor Dr. Alina Miron of the University of Angers shows that the underlying legal acts also violate EU law. The EU is using the sanctions list as a tool to silence critics and is maneuvering itself ever deeper into an abyss of lawlessness.
We call upon the European Parliament, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the German Bundestag, the German state and local parliaments, the entire German people and the people in all countries of the European Union to now confront the destroyers of democracy and the warmongers with all their might.
The preamble to the Basic Law obligates Germany to serve peace. Article 5 of the Basic Law stipulates: “There shall be no censorship.” The actions of the EU Commission and the EU Council contradict our Basic Law. We call upon the Federal Government, in accordance with its oath of office, to draw attention to this unlawful process.
We demand the immediate lifting of the illegal sanctions against Jacques Baud, as well as against all journalists, scientists and EU citizens.
We call on the German government and the EU to contribute constructively to peace in Ukraine and to cease all unconstitutional attempts to prolong the war.

Trump’s ignorance about the genuine nature of Venezuelan oil and its infrastructure is laid out by Pepe Escobar, How Trump’s oily dreams may collapse in a Venezuelan dark pit — Strategic Culture. An important excerpt:

There’s no way Delcy Rodriguez’s interim government will accept what amounts to de facto theft. Even as Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller is bragging that the US is using “military threat” to maintain control of Venezuela. If you are really in control, you don’t need to issue threats.

If the escalation by IDF trained ICE agents continues I expect it will be open season on these thugs by heavily armed citizens.
Martial law and a forever Trump dictatorship on the menu.

Thanks for the form, b, to allow me to air this out.

A request to George Galloway.

Honorable George Galloway,

Please do away with the pole asking people what country they “think” is going to be attacked, next.

Watched your show, MOATS, last night and saw that you had posed the question above. It was disturbing to see the vote. Of course, Iran came out on top, in that vote.
I thought what if this vote is not what people “think,” but what they “want.” to see happen.
Oh, look at them eye-rainians. We gonna kill us some. They die the best. Almost Oscar worthy, almost. Their blood shows best on TV screens. And their babies, well, almost white. Them-babies-gotta-die.
We want us some dead eye-rainians.

So, please George, the pole may be a self-fulfilling prophecy. They say, look, everybody “thinks” we should attack Iran next. Go ahead, pull the trigger. Bang.

Thanks for your attention to this matter, George.
In closing, thanks for MOATS, and speaking truth to power.

Their tin pot dome was a complete bust. After all their blustering about it for years, the “dome” didn’t work. At all.

I’m suggesting they’re lying about their nukes. They lie about everything else. Why not this? And who cares if they do threaten, threaten, threaten. They’ll only get one shot at one city before their end. Mark my words. Israel is dead in the water already. They just don’t know it yet.

Finland has been closing the bank accounts of finnish citizens living outside Europe, for example in Thailand. No advance warning and no appeal possible. Completely legal too, because it’s such a special country. During the 2019 religion Finland simply blocked all bank transfers outside Europe as well, for a time. Because it’s a special country. karlof1@1608:  Likely that Pentagon officers below the One Star rank have done their historical homework, while assessing current deployment capacities, as well as the November election.  They have likely informed the high rankers that Venezuela with its jungles and mountains, along with organized militias would be a total quagmire in the instance of a “boots on the ground” scenario.

These elementary observations have likely worked their way up the command scrotumpole, clear to the Offal Orfice.  Thus, probability factoring for such a move would barely be above zero…that contrasting vividly with a poorly trained and wary set of ground-pounders, particularly amongst veteran NCO’s who are just a few years away from retirement status…who had learned from their elders some of the jungle warfare horror stories from the Nam.

Thus when it comes to actual on the ground occupation of Venezuela, informed gamblers have put the kibosh on any silly excursions.

What is interesting is the reaction of the ICE agents.  They live in a world in which their own criminality is normalized.  The surrounding agents didn’t react to his blatant murder, the killer felt walked away without the slightest hesitation.  These are thugs who do what they are told and have been implicitly cleared to kill.   Trump has imported the IDF into the U.S., we know this is just a nothing, routine day in Palestine for the IDF.  Vance, Miller, Musk, Noem are overtly protecting their pet Gestapo and desire to institutionalize them.

Jack M.@1630:  Yeah, more than a century ago the feisty and stouthearted Suomileinen immigrated to the mining country in Minnesota’s arrowhead region and to the Keweenaw peninsula in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Quite a few of them were Swedefinns,  such as Arvo Hallberg’s father, who Was one of the two principles in the great Mesabi miner’s strike in 1906. Hallberg’s son, changed his name to Gus Hall.

Hall was the leader of the Communist Party in the U.$. for well over a decade. During the ultimately successful struggle against a Scott’s attempt to mine peat at the core of the Great Bog, just to the east of the Red Lake Nation, one of those Red Finn descendants was quite active amongst us.  He was a designer kid who grew up in Detroit. His mother was from a Red Jewish family.  Mix a Yiddischer mama with a Red Finn father and you get hell on wheels. Apparently, the Party “suggested” the blended betrothal.

My maternal-maternal great grandfather was one of those Swedefinns.  When he came to the states he became active in the timber business and built the biggest house in the area.  Though non-political, he kept the local pharmacist running out of medicinal alcohol while being a leading light in the locale.  It’s highly likely that today’s Finns, like the Swedes and Norwegians have become primarily urbanized and that consequently overmatched their innate tough inner core.  Add elitist concocted propaganda to the mix and they have become effectually neutered.

I recently tested my AIS system by transferring it from my Westerly Berwick to a friend’s Sadler 29 in Poole Harbour. The goal was to see how accurately the system represented our positions on MarineTraffic.

What I found was eye-opening. Once the AIS equipment was moved to the other boat, our vessels appeared on the tracking site just as before. However, this demonstrated how easily AIS signals can be manipulated. By swapping transponders or making simple adjustments, vessels can appear anywhere, or even impersonate others.

This experience made it clear that relying solely on AIS for security is problematic. The system is vulnerable to spoofing and deception, which could be exploited for malicious purposes. It’s useful for navigation and visibility, but it’s not secure enough as a standalone method for vessel identification or security.

In my opinion, AIS should be part of a multi-layered approach, combined with radar, satellite data, and encrypted signals, to truly verify vessel identities. Otherwise, there’s a significant risk that the information displayed can be faked or manipulated, which could have serious safety or security implications.

Overall, AIS is helpful but not infallible. It’s important to understand its limitations and not rely on it exclusively for security.

I have read enough of james’ posts over the years to know when he is instructive or rebuking another poster for bad form. Usually the post is slightly more curt (as much as a Canadian could be), terse, and bereft of long-windedness. He gives chances but can be pretty merciless if you exhaust them. In the world of kids, I can usually tell the more saintly among them: they simultaneously don’t engage in mobbing (speaking of bullies) but the gangs of children still extend them respect because they ARE admirable, even if they have their movement outside of a group.

When stopped by officers of the law, one must stop.  Any motion to avoid following direct orders makes one a criminal.i don’t agree with the shooting however all officers are trained to follow an escalation circle/ladder.   They are trained, if the escalation reaches a point you pull your gun, one must shoot to kill.

no matter what angle her wheels were pointing.  It is obvious to anyone who looks, she was not following direct orders, the agents hands were inside the car attempting to get her to stop.

Russian MFA statement on the tanker seizure that will be ignored as usual sets the table for confrontation:

The Russian Foreign Ministry expresses serious concern over the illegal military action carried out by the US armed forces against the Mariner oil tanker on January 7.

On 24 December, the Marinera was granted temporary permission to sail under the national flag of the Russian Federation in accordance with international law and Russian law, and was sailing innocently in the international waters of the North Atlantic, heading towards a Russian port. The US authorities have repeatedly received reliable information about the ship’s Russian affiliation and its civilian peaceful status, including at the official level through the Russian Foreign Ministry. They could not have any doubts about this, just as there are no and there were no grounds to speculate about the alleged navigation of the tanker “without a flag” or “under a false flag”.

The international law of the sea clearly provides for the operation of vessels on the high seas under the exclusive jurisdiction of the flag State. Stopping and inspection of a vessel on the high seas is possible only on a closed list of grounds, such as piracy or slave trade, which obviously do not apply to the Marinera. In all other cases, such actions are allowed only in agreement with the flag state – in this case, with Russia.

Meanwhile, Russia not only did not give such consent, but, on the contrary, expressed an official protest to the American authorities in connection with the pursuit of the vessel “Mariner” by a US Coast Guard ship carried out over the previous few weeks, insisting on the immediate cessation of the persecution and the withdrawal of the unlawful demands against the captain of the Russian vessel.

Under these conditions, the landing of the US military on a civilian vessel on the high seas and its actual seizure, as well as the capture of the crew, cannot be interpreted otherwise than as a gross violation of the fundamental principles and norms of international maritime law, as well as freedom of navigation. There is a significant infringement of the legitimate rights and interests of the shipowner. The life and health of the crew members of the Marinera, which includes citizens of several countries, are endangered. We consider the threats of prosecution addressed to them by the US authorities under absurd pretexts to be categorically unacceptable. Having carried out an unsafe pursuit, and then armed seizure of an oil tanker in difficult weather conditions, the American military, obviously, did not reckon with the risk of causing significant damage to the environmental security of the North Atlantic.

We consider the references made by the American side to its national “sanctions legislation” to be untenable. The unilateral restrictive measures of the United States, as well as those of other Western countries, are illegitimate and cannot serve as an excuse for attempts to establish jurisdiction and, especially, to seize ships on the high seas. The shenanigans by some US officials to the effect that the appropriation of Marinera is part of a broader strategy to establish Washington’s unlimited control over Venezuela’s natural resources look extremely cynical. We resolutely reject such neo-colonial habits.

Along with the US administration’s disdain for the generally accepted “rules of the game” in the field of international maritime shipping, Washington’s readiness to generate acute international crisis situations, including with regard to Russian-American relations, which are already extremely burdened by the disagreements of the past years, is regrettable and alarming. The Marinera incident can only result in a further increase in military-political tensions in the Euro-Atlantic region, as well as a visible lowering of the “threshold for the use of force” against peaceful shipping. Inspired by Washington’s dangerous and irresponsible example, some other countries and agencies may also consider themselves entitled to act in similar ways. Predatory intentions are filled, first of all, with the authorities of Great Britain, which has long been engaged in sea robbery. London has already loyally reported its complicity in the US military action in the waters of the North Atlantic.

We call on Washington to return to compliance with the fundamental norms and principles of international maritime navigation and immediately stop illegal actions against the Marinera and other vessels carrying out legitimate activities on the high seas. We reiterate our demand to the American side to ensure humane and dignified treatment of the Russian citizens on board the tanker as part of the crew, to strictly observe their rights and interests, and not to impede their speedy return to their homeland.

Deep discussions of objectives and strategies; So much sound and fury!

If all of this energy is merely directed at something, rather than for something, then why the opposition?

Why are Russia or China “better”? Who defines that? By what they say? Perhaps just another ruse de guerre?

If you’re merely ambivalent, but currently enraged against the Empire, can you alter your POV if given the opportunity to clarify your mind?

And if that’s possible, why not join the winning team? Do you really think the USA is going to lose? That’s a very poor, in fact stupid bet.

All the accurate assessments given here about defense industries too profit motivated to make capX investments, now given notice.

Any motion to avoid following direct orders makes one a criminal.i don’t agree with the shooting however all officers are trained to follow an escalation circle/ladder.   They are trained, if the escalation reaches a point you pull your gun, one must shoot to kill.

so therefore  trainers are also guilty

@65 Merv

Thx. To move further in a logical defense, we could say that officers were ready to detain/arrest her for interfering. This would mean that trying to get away from the command to stop would involve a potential chase involving motor vehicles, which might endanger other lives.

Many, many incidences caught on police cam show that officers letting a perp flee can have disastrous consequences for the safety of the public.

However, different states have different laws regarding letting chases commence or not engaging in chases at all.

I don’t know Minnesota’s laws regarding this. I am not even sure that ICE can chase civilians to detain/arrest them of if they need coordination with local law enforcement.

IMO, this is now being politicized and indeed happened due to ongoing politicizing of lawful Federal immigration policy. It helps both sides of the duopoly and we are all pawns in this stupid theater that has now killed a person.

(Yes, both local and Federal law are intensely militarized and that is scary. I remember first seeing Sheriff’s Depts. with surplus military vehicles back in Obama’s years; is it just the runaway MIC or has hardcore domestic repression been the plan all along?)

Was just thinking about Putin and legalities prior to seeing your post. We are moving into a world outside any law.

A few years back, Putin met some people at the airport. They had been swapped for some high value Nato items. One of the men Putin greeted warmly had hunted down and killed a Chechen headchopper and then spent some years in jail. The was two killings publicly known of and two jailed – one in Germany and one in Turkey. That bloke Putin greeted, I can’t remember if he was released from a Turkish or a German jail.

As Zakharova has stated – there is no statute of limitations on war crimes. If they cannot be extradited to face Russian court, many will be hunted down and killed in the years to come

one of the funniest things I ever saw was a buddy of mine, music teacher in Charlotte NC, paddling around on his life raft out in the middle of Lake Charlotte, listening to Chopin or Mozart or what have you, not a care in the world.

with “Don’t eat, don’t swim, don’t drink the water” poison control signs all over the lake. i wonder if that immigrant family washing their clothes with the little kids splashing around in one secluded corner of Lake Charlotte has been deported by ICE yet as the terrorists they are?

a similar thing, not quite as bad, is happening just down the block from where i’m at now, at Capitol Lake Olympia WA. best thing to do is just ignore it. some birds and otters still appear so it’s not all bad, right? the lake isn’t dying, there’s a blue heron hunting in it right now.

now that the camouflage is off, what else will be revealed, if one can’t figure out from Israel what team someone or group is on?

it’s good news! all the collaborators will be more openly exposed, as what they have been all along. and it won’t change a thing.

when the US opened Gitmo publicly in 2001, it was not news for the world, though it was definitely a message to the world. It was only news to obese (b)ovine Americans. most of the rest of the world knows, e.g., that what Israel is doing is not fundamentally different than what the US did in Iraq or Vietnam.

all the churches and ngos and non-profits, the academics, the businesses, the civic leaders, media figures, what happens to them, now that the camouflage is off?

nothing. people who’ve spent their lives using child hunger to compete are not going to suddenly discover capitalism is a pile of lying shit. the slaves will just become more robotic.

the professional-managerial class American: a robot that prays not to be replaced by a chatbot.

all the camouflage the US uses is to hide from its own people what it’s doing around the world. to succeed is to participate in the conspiracy of silence, spread indifference, and brag about how one’s own success is THE measure of the system. the people who are “successful” at the system are extremely sick.

The move was reportedly implemented several days ago without a public announcement, though rioters organizers were informed. According to the report, Israeli businessman Dubi Franses raised the issue with Musk’s team after receiving guidance from Deputy Minister Almog Cohen. Musk is said to have committed to keeping the service free and operational for the duration of the protests and instructed senior Starlink officials to prevent any attempts by Iranian authorities to disrupt the network.

“You”? You mean, we. When I read something like what you wrote, my first thought is, what happened to you?

Were you bullied, discriminated against, mistreated? That’s quite some built up hatred for your own country. It certainly can’t be good for your health.

Do you follow any news outside of leftist media? Are not aware of the housing issues, the H1b controversies, the anger against DEI/AA racial and political discrimination that have furloughed 2 generations?

Each Trump announcement made over just the past few days directly confronts those issues. $1.5T in primary funding will have at minimum a 5x multiplier effect.

No DEI/AA allowed, no H1b admitted, security clearances required, 10m+ hungry, ambitious white males ready to go … is anyone else catching a clue?

Look, it’s important for people like you, Karl1, et al to realize that China & Russia don’t share your visceral antipathy. They know they’re in a fight for survival because that’s what great powers do.

What they certainly don’t do is dismiss credible threats with some heartfelt outpouring of pure hatred. You might want to check yourself and take an objective look at what’s really going down.

What?!? Young white males in America, joining the military? You checked those recruitment stats lately?

Allow me to splain you some basic facts about what’s happening in America … young white males have come to understand that the ruling class utterly despises them and especially despises young white heterosexual Christian males. They may not be the brightest minds amongst us, but they have had the same message browbeaten into them since childhood … and yeah they get the deal.

They have talked to a few older people and seen how Veterans get treated … they know that VA healthcare is largely useless … they have figured out that Social Security is a fraud and unlikely to remain solvent for another decade. They saw the jobs go overseas, and discovered the “social contract” wasn’t worth the paper it was written on. They sat and watched all sorts of government handouts go to everyone who doesn’t look like them, and when they complained they got told to shut up. They have watched the “War on Family Life” turn husband and wife against one another, endlessly and bitterly.

And the ones who did get a small business together were wiped out by capricious and moronic COVID restrictions … which seemed almost designed by a twisted intellect to cause maximum economic damage to small business. Then the inevitable wave of monetary inflation which put the economic coup de grâce on whoever was left staggering through the first round.

Let me tell you … those young white males are sure as heck not interested in signing up and dying for a government that hates them. It ain’t gonna happen. Social cohesion in the USA is very low … the divide and conquer strategy worked … and it has produced a low trust low commitment nation.
