Iran Shrugs Off Another Round Of U.S./Israel Sponsored Regime Change Riots

Every two years or so the CIA and Mossad are instigating regime change riots in Iran. These attempts inevitably fail.

Currently a few thousand young men are during nighttime burning cars, mosques, shops and police offices in various cities of Iran. Armed agents are firing at and killing policemen. All these cells are coordinated via Internet connections.

It usually takes a week or two until Iranian government forces find the connections, trace down the ring leaders and shut them down. That process may take a little longer this time because some of the terror cells have been equipped with Starlink terminals.

As the unofficial CIA spokesman David Ignatius at the Washington Post writes (writes):

A harder question for Washington is whether to smuggle in Starlink terminals to reverse the internet blackout that Tehran imposed Friday. The Biden administration weighed that strategy during the “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests in 2022 and 2023 but decided against it — fearing it would put at risk crucial smuggling routes used by the CIA and Israeli intelligence. Perhaps this time, the benefit outweighs the cost.

That pretty much confirms that those terminals are already there.

Meanwhile Russia has developed equipment that allows to detect active Starlink terminals from the air. Iran has already received copies and will soon produces enough of its own to cover its cities.

Ignatius also claims that the riots are different this time because they are aimed to install a U.S./Israel sponsored puppet:

This year’s revolt is driven more by anger over Iran’s economic failures than the mullah’s repressive Islamic rules. Iran’s annual inflation rate rose to 42 percent in December, and its currency lost more than half its value last year. Another difference this year is that many protesters are supporting Reza Pahlavi, the son of the shah of Iran toppled in the 1979 revolution. That gives this rebellion a more conservative, Persian nationalist tone — and a perhaps backward-facing perspective. Maybe this is Iran’s “MIGA” moment.

That Reza Pahlavi is as irrelevant to Iran as a person can be. His current  campaign to get a more active, i.e. violent, regime change support from the Trump administration is sponsored by Israel.

As Haaretz provided (archived) in October 2025:

In early 2023, Reza Pahlavi made his first official visit to Israel. He’s the son of the last shah of Iran, who was overthrown in the 1979 Islamic Revolution and was replaced by the ayatollah regime.

When asked about the responses he was getting to his visit to Israel, Iran’s archenemy, he said reactions had been largely positive. He also referred reporters to his social media accounts.

“Don’t take my word for it, search on social media … on Twitter, Instagram, any platform,” he said. “If you do the research yourself, you don’t need to ask me the question. The answer is right before your eyes.”

Pahlavi’s answer is particularly noteworthy in light of the findings by Haaretz and TheMarker, Haaretz’s business newspaper. It turns out that a large-scale digital influence campaign in Persian was underway, operated out of Israel and funded by a private entity that receives government support.

The campaign promotes Pahlavi’s public image and amplifies calls for restoring the monarchy. The campaign relies on “avatars,” fake online personas posing as Iranian citizens on social media. They were first discovered by social media researchers in Israel and abroad.

The campaign uses the now typical tools of social engineering:

According to the sources who spoke with TheMarker and Haaretz, since the outbreak of the war in Gaza and after Pahlavi’s visit, an online operation began operating as part of an even broader Israeli campaign to influence the social media discourse, which also includes campaigns in English and German.

According to five sources with direct knowledge of the project, native Persian speakers were recruited for the operation. Three of the sources confirmed the connection between the project and this specific campaign, and said they witnessed the network advancing pro-Pahlavi messaging.

According to the sources, the campaign included fake accounts on platforms such as X and Instagram and used artificial intelligence tools to help disseminate key narratives, craft its messages and generate content.

AI is also used to create pictures and videos of riots in places in Iran where none have happened.

Iran has more than 90 million inhabitants. Many of them support its government system. A few thousand rioting teenagers will not take it down.

Iran’s president accuses US of inciting chaos, says nation united

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accuses the US of inciting unrest and regional division, affirming that the Iranian people remain united in support of their nation and system.

….The Iranian president went on to say that both the United States and “Israel” are working to prolong war and instability in West Asia. “Their objective is to prevent unity among Islamic countries and to create division in order to achieve their malicious goals,” he said.

Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran has consistently acted in good faith on the diplomatic front, in contrast to what he described as American aggression. “The world witnessed how the US attacked diplomacy and committed crimes against humanity, while Iran engaged seriously at the negotiation table,” he added……

Ayatollah Khomeini had the British ambassador save his life by making him an Ayatollah in the first place. It was against the law but the British had the leverage to bring it about. The Iranian revolution was an anglosaxon operation all together.
That said, the current enemies of Iran are far worse than the regime. But that isnt an ideal sutuation to be better than pure evil. Most of you seem totally ignorant about what really happened in 1979.

Thanks. I’ve never been to Iran.
I was with the sunnies on the other side of the Gulf during transition times (MBS took over and downgraded the mutawa).
It’s good to see so many young Iranians being their own the way they like it.
I hope they solve the problems caused by their economic mismanagement.
The president himself has admitted the current economic crisis is of their own.
He used the same term as me: “economic mismanagement”.
America and Israel are trying to take advantage but they need to be very careful.

@208,
Yes, of course .. the highly intelligent youth will fix the problems that Iran has with its “economic mismanagement”.
Anyway, it seems that the useful idiots in the region (Kurds) always lose be it in Iraq, Syria, Turkey and now Iran. They never seem to understand that their master doesn’t really care what happens to them in the end. They are expandable when no longer useful without getting anything relevant for their cause.

Johan,
Economic Mismanagement? hardly
GDP per capitia (PPP) has been steadily rising despite sanctions and other attacks on the people of Iran. Its similar to Brazil.

Thanks again.
Well, “economic mismanagement” was the term used by the Iranian president himself, to describe the causes of the current crisis, leading to two-digits inflation.
That’s a real problem for the vast majority, despite growth in GDP per capita.
In terms of GDP per capita, they are simply recovering to the level they had in 2011, according to the data you posted.

According to Pro-IR tg accounts, the Azeris are fairly quiet this time. Maybe it helps that their president is from that region. Not sure if they have any love for Pahlavi anyway. Kurds or Balochs maybe, but they don’t have any real support in the region.

The US reportedly used a powerful sonic weapon against Venezuelan soldiers while capturing Nicolas Maduro, which left them with nose bleeds and vomiting blood, an account shared by Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said.
On Saturday morning, Leavitt took to X to share an interview with an unnamed security guard who claimed to be working the night the US struck Venezuela and took Maduro on drug trafficking charges.
‘Stop what you are doing and read this…’ she wrote, alongside five American flag emojis.
The interview saw the security guard reveal the terrifying capabilities of the mysterious new US military weapon, which he described as a ‘very intense sound wave’ that disabled Venezuelan forces.
Mike Netter, the vice chairman of Rebuild California, first shared the insight on Friday in an X post that received over 15 million views in a day, and he said the apparent use of the sonic weapon ‘explains a lot about why the tone across Latin America suddenly changed.’
‘Suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside,’ the security guard reportedly said. ‘We all started bleeding from the nose. Some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move.
‘We couldn’t even stand up after that sonic weapon or whatever it was.’

Maybe this sonic weapon exists or maybe it’s “Jason Bourne Projection”, you know, the invincible US military and CIA.

However it is rather naive for anyone to think the Americans are not trying to catch up or gain advantage with new weapons.  True, corruption begets corruption and the MIC is as corrupt as anything.  Yet we should not take for granted that the Americans will always be corrupt.

Thus this assumption Russia and its hypersonic weapons will always have a monopoly is foolish.  Sounds like the US in the 1990s talking about the end of history.  Considering that all Russians were cancelled(like the Jews were cancelled in 1930s Germany), that the Americans are waging a violent proxy war against Russia, that Russia’s beloved UN, diplomacy and law & order has been trashed by American aggression, is it really wise for Russia NOT to use its hypersonic advantage, while it exists?

I mean: use it against their ONLY enemy – the American government and its spooks and military.  As it’s been intelligently put here in the past: USE IT OR LOSE IT.

USA will likely strike Iran on Monday. Very little Iran can do to defend itself. Totally exposed. Unless Iran attacks Saudi oil and gas facilities and ships there is little Iran can do to retaliate. No capability to attack Israel.

At least at this late hour Iran must allow Russian military bases in Iran. Otherwise it will be the end for the so called revolution. Chabahar port for a Russian navy base.

Interesting framing in Haaretz: “Israel on high alert for possible U.S. intervention in Iran over mass protests.” It does make sense if my reading is correct that the US wants to topple Iran for its own geostrategic purposes and uses Israel as an excuse, kind of. We remember that China made Iran and Saudi Arabia kiss and make up some time ago while Trump is pushing his Abraham Accords to counter the Belt and Road Initiaitve. Throw in some good old Bible prophecies that make no sense in the situation and this is what you got. Finally, throw in the unhinged world leader Trump, who is still devoid of his peace prize which he thinks he can get by saving the Iranian people from themselves after killing 115 people in the Carabbean for drug trafficking for which no evidence was found. And following the rhetoric from VZ (that this makes China and Russia “look weak”) the definite goal is definitely destabilization of that axis and the accomplishment of Mackinder’s dream.

Iran (, Middle East, ISRAEL, North Africa in general) have a common problem. The amount of rainwater falling has been reduced as a result of climate change. Even western parts of North America have seen a reduction of the amount rain. In North America this is the result of the northern Pacific getting …… COOLER. Reduced rainfall is the result of the climate getting cooler, NOT warmer.

I dunno if it’s been shrugged off, they’ve shut down the internet for 2 days now.  The drought has them talking about evacuating Tehran.  That’s 9 million people many of whom will be homeless refugees.  If the capital city becomes engulfed in chaos either from the move, or from a lack of water protests like these could collapse the whole thing.  Tehran isn’t the only city facing hard choices either.
Throw in an Israeli campaign to hit iranian military sites then you could really push Iran into governmental failure and possible dissolution there’s so many places that could theoretically be reorganized.

It’s true that the overwhelming majority of Iranians are deeply dissatisfied with the current government. Decades of war, crippling sanctions, systemic corruption, and governmental incompetence have understandably fueled widespread discontent.
However, it’s equally important to recognize that—despite this frustration—most Iranians still prefer the existing regime over alternatives such as monarchist factions, the MKO (Mujahedin-e Khalq), separatist groups, or any parties backed by the U.S., Israel, or other foreign powers. Even many reformists are viewed with skepticism by large segments of the population. For many, the status quo—however flawed—is seen as preferable to the perceived chaos or foreign influence these alternatives might bring.

They want to keep their casualties as low as possible so they move slowly on as wide a front as possible

The Foreign Ministers of Australia, Canada and the European Union issued the following statement:
“We commend the bravery of the American people as they stand up for their dignity and their fundamental right to peaceful protest.
“We strongly condemn the killing of protestors, the use of violence, arbitrary arrests, and intimidation tactics by the Trump regime against its own people.
“DHS must immediately end the use of excessive and lethal force by its security forces including  Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) against protestors. Too many lives  have already been lost.

Maybe you can reformulate the question and answer it yourself:

Is it wise to start a world nuclear war that will destroy a lot of things including yourself, when your are doing well and your enemy is destroying itself ?

Posted by: Sebgo | Jan 11 2026 15:19 utc | 244

But you see how much more sense all this makes when you see the seemingly abrupt shift from VZ to Iran from the US Navy point of view in which this is just two different snapshots of the same aquatic movement. And of course this is not just Trump. Wasn’t the base on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean transferred to the US under Biden? Note to self: find out what happened there, a bit obscure. And NB. None of the main players are dumb here, which makes it interesting. Russia has made it quite clear that no threat is to be directed against it from the Black Sea, which makes short work of a potential role played by the US Navy. So the US, under the pretext of making Russia and China look weak, now has to take the arduous route of the Indian Ocean. Comrades, the situation is bad but far from as bad as it seems. Unless you are the EU.

This is a fair question.  However I am troubled by the psychology behind it.  If the Russians are assuming that to anger America is to trigger a nuclear response, then the Russians are conceding to nuclear blackmail.  Haven’t they already lost if they grant the Americans this leverage?

Remember, my question was not about using nuclear weapons.  The advantage of Russian hypersonic weapons is that they do not need to go nuclear.

The presumption appears to be: don’t make the Americans really angry or else they’ll blow up the world.  I think one can seriously question if that is American policy.  Nevertheless, to counter the possibility, posters here are tying the Russian military’s hands behind its back.  “Don’t dare do anything that makes the Americans really mad!”  Just wait for the American Empire to collapse economically.  Yet there is no guarantee if or when this collapse will take place.

Plus one must ignore the most obvious problem.  The strategy is to not make the Americans too angry, not give them an excuse to go nuclear.  So are you people suggesting that when the US economy collapses that the Americans will be happy and just accept their fate?  No they’ll be more pissed off then ever.  Which means…

You see, the assumption the Americans will go nuclear when angry enough is flawed because, if this is the case, the Americans are no longer rational actors.  Which means they DO NOT need an excuse to go nuclear.  They’ll do it whenever they want to.

Like I pointed out above:  accept nuclear blackmail and we’ve already lost.

I simply spared you a lengthy explanation of the inevitable progression of a war between great powers.

You naively believe that a war between nuclear powers can be managed, controlled in such a way as to strike the adversary without provoking them enough to resort to nuclear weapons.
You’re dreaming.

In short, however it begins, a confrontation between nuclear powers will inevitably end in nuclear war.

What is happening in Ukraine is because  Russia chose to limit the war in Ukraine and not to consider it as against a nuclear power.

This conviction is so strong that some believe it’s best not to wait for the enemy to use this weapon first, but rather to use it directly as soon as one is attacked conventionally, or even during the first preemptive strike.

This analysis explains why, since 1945, all confrontations have been conducted through proxies, precisely to avoid what you’re recommending without considering the implications.

No responsible nuclear country will do that unless it is for a direct and total nuclear strike, that is to say including the allies of the main target.

There’s nothing naive in my position.  Either the Americans are insane, in which case nuclear holocaust is inevitable, or MAD still works.  Anyone wishing to avoid nuclear war must take the latter position.

The people who run the Empire are alot of things – 99% evil – however they are also selfish psychopaths who are not seeking self destruction.  It is Russian weakness in their non-responses to American aggression which encourages these psychopaths to continue escalating.

I do not expect nuclear war because these people are not self destructive.  With a strong Russia opposing them, they know that to go too far will mean a nuclear holocaust.  Therefore they will not go too far.

However a weak Russia – a Russia that backs down each time America pushes  – is only creating confusion in Washington.  The neoCons who support a first nuclear strike do so because they believe Russia is weak and will not retaliate.  So each time the Russians back down in the face of American aggression, it encourages more people in the Empire to think they can win a nuclear war because the Russians will NEVER fight back.

Of course it’s crazy thinking but the Russians are giving them this hope because they continue to behave like they will not directly oppose the US military ever.

America has nuclear weapons.  The 1945 nightmare scenario of Hitler having the bomb has arrived.  How does one convince the Americans never to use their nukes?  Simple, make it clear every US city will be destroyed in response.  Might is all the Americans respect.  Any sign of weakness from the Russians undermines this deterrent.  And we are seeing endless weakness from the Russians.  It is the worst thing they could be doing.

And bingo, since the US Navy has no choke hold on Russia and hence China through the Arctic it “needs to get” Greenland. We just have to learn to read the map as any navy expert would. Greenland is not even northwest from Russia but directly facing Russia across the North Pole. Once the US grabs Greenland it can say that it now has to defend its national security in Greenland from a Russian attack and start launching preemptive strikes and false flags.

The Baltic Sea has to do with this too, hence the cable damage new, but that seems to have been a nonstarter, now the US is even withdrawing from the hybrid war center or whatever the hell its name is in Finland as the region is too much of a stretch and the Kaliningrad region was created for this very scenario to begin with. Which is a sure sign Greenland will be next.

OK, next level: you need aircraft carriers for this worldview to take shape, which BRICS and SCO don’t have but boy just find out about Chinese naval routes off Malaysia and the Philippines and Indonesia before the Europeans ever set foot in the region, including Australia, and you will be as flabbergasted as I am. They will catch up fast. Nothing speaks to that history as mightily as the ethnically Chinese choke hold in Singapore – though it ended up on the other side of the equation, conveniently enough.

Iran is ready for an attack on Monday.
If you don’t believe me, you can read https://x.com/Intel_sky on “X” who have an up to date series running of preparations. Latest as of Sunday pm. My bold. The earlier posts relay how there has been a systematic “clearing the decks for action.” Plus small illustrations.

Geopolitical Summary of the Afternoon Brief (14:53) The title of this file is: “Setting the Ambush.” The Iranian regime has transitioned from “Fortification” to “Engagement Readiness“: * The Coast: Missiles are locked on ships. * The Southwest: Drones are aimed at the borders. * The Desert: Ballistic missiles are in standby mode. As the sun sets in Iran, the military theater appears set for the final act. Every weapon system is now in its designated “grid,” and civilians have been cleared from potential lines of fire.

The US Terrorist/Pirate Regime and the illegal occupying force in Palestine (Zio-Monsters) will probably attack Iran sometime after Tuesday.

“President Trump is set to receive a briefing on Tuesday outlining concrete response options to the protests in Iran – WSJ citing U.S. officials The session will include senior officials such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth The talks are expected to examine options such as cyber operations, tougher sanctions, online support for protesters, and possible military action, though no final decision is anticipated”

Maybe you are the one who don’t see the things as they are.

Russia is pushing back, Russia is fighting back when it is a threat to her.
This was the case en Tchetchenia, in Georgia, in Ukraine.

But what you want is that Russia or China intervene directly against American troops in Venezuela or elsewhere.
Or even against Israel or France, to “show strength” in the American (bad) way.

Fighting for others far away is not the best way to show your strength. It’s not a vital stake that can justify that.
And you are not at your avantage because it’s far from your logistics.

What is important is to support your allies, with diplomacy and means when possible. Not to go to war yourself everywhere.

And more, whatever you say, it will be russians and americans shooting at each other, so a direct war, where any of the adversary can chose to retaliate against the territory of the other.

They chose not to do it. Yet, who want Russia to do it because you are sure it can be done without nuclear exchange.
The main actors doesn’t share your optimism it seems.

As for “looking weak”, I really don’t understand where this thing come from.
Is it a kind of psychological pressure tool ? Maybe it’s cultural and doesn’t work everywhere?

What you should know is that a lot of people in the world doesn’t see not to “look weak” as a good reason to go for thousands of deaths.

Lets not forget the huge international sanctions – placed on the country illegally by the US Terrorist/Pirate Regime, the EU and Britain,  which has caused financial hardship in the country, then you have CIA/Mossad funded Kurdish fighters that have entered Iran via Iraq, to cause murder and mayhem – and the CIA/Mossad sponsored NGO’s in Iran actively working against the government and its people.

“Iranian President Pezeshkian: They brought terrorists into the country from abroad. They set fire to mosques. They set people on fire and beheaded some These people do not belong to this country.

If someone belongs to this country, let them protest, and we will hear their protest, listen to it, and solve it They are killing innocent people on the scene and setting fires; this is not something that can be accepted I ask our dear people, just as it was before, to gather in every neighborhood and not allow rioting To the dear youths who, in this regard, based on analyses that have been created in their minds—rightly or wrongly—we ask them not to be deceived by these rioters and terrorists America and Israel are sitting there, teaching them, “Go ahead, we are here too”

The same ones who struck this country and killed our youths and children are now ordering these people to do this work… [stating], “We are here; you go destroy, and we will come behind you” Families, I beg you, do not let your youths mix with rioters and terrorists who come to behead and kill people Let them protest. Friends, ask yourself why someone “leaked” that Trump is asking for war plans.

Every attack Trump has ever done has been hush hush until it happened.

The demonstrative missile strike on Syria in his first term.

The assassination of Soleimani.

The 12-day shitshow.

The Maduro kidnapping.

Trump’s regime is very good at OpSec.

Trump likes to create leverage so he can “win” without fighting. Also, he needs Iran to collapse and to stress the Russians with yet another front in the big game. The US is not winning any kinetic actions in Iran or Venezuela. China and Russia can’t allow it.

If Trump doesn’t attack in the next week or two, no one should be surprised.

Watch where naval and aviation assets are moved. That, IMO, is the best indicator of a fight.

The Zionist powers (America, Israel, the UK, France, Germany) don’t want to put boots on the ground. They want to bomb and intercept missiles.

That requires a lot of ships and planes.

Amazing how the great  man (Castro) continued to defy the US Terrorist/Pirate Regime time after time, and they devised over 600 ways assassinate/murder him – and failed every time long live a socialist Cuba.

“The CIA recruited one of Fidel Castro’s lovers back in 1960’s, giving her poison pills to kill him. He found out and handed her his gun daring her to shoot him, her nerves failed and they instead had some fun. The girl, Ms Lorenz, told the New York Daily News about what he said: “You can’t kill me. Nobody can kill me,” “And he kind of smiled and chewed on his cigar. I felt deflated. He was so sure of me. He just grabbed me. We made love.”

One last thing for now and not off topic. As for Greenland, a lot of ridicule has been heaped on Danish military but again of you take a look at the watery most blue areas on the  map you realize all the Baltic States including Denmark have been seafaring nations since the time before Columbus and know the waters including the Baltic like the back of their hands. The strait between Sweden and Denmark is so incredibly narrow you can literally see the famed Hamlet castle of Elsinore i.e.Helsingør from the Swedish side. You can imagine that it doesn’t take much of an “accident” to cause the ultimate mayhem there.

This is speculation but it is possible that amidst the false flags including alleged Russian drones and cable damages the Russians may have thrown in some real Russian drones for good measure to send the signal that if they want to cause such “accidents” they have every possibility to do so. Such drone incidents took place in Denmark. Denmark got the message, talked the US out of it in the hopes of getting the US off its back, which Trump reciprocated by snapping out of the Baltic dream but also doubling down on Greenland. As one commentator here said, yes unfair, but so what if it works? If the US goal is to hit Russia from whichever direction available it is much less risky to do so through Greenland and Denmark, whose military capabilities and plans it knows 100%, as opposed to Iran, where that percentage may be as low as 30%, all the Mossad and CIA moles and satellite notwithstanding. That would seem to me to be a rational decision tree but with Trump you never know. Anyway he has to move pretty quick because nobody trusts him anymore. Including his peacemongering which sounds more desperate by the day.

I cannot see how attacking Iran and/or Venezuela doesn’t lead to a near-term US civil collapse.

Like a honeybee stinging, where the act of stinging is fatal to the bee. A conflict, even if short, may be enough to shatter the US in its fragile condition.

But for a lot of reasons, they can’t back down. They are “pot committed“.

In the 12-day war, America could stand down. That sort of shy retreat is not possible in Ukraine, Iran, or Venezuela today.

Iran’s military grade jamming blocks Starlink – 80%

The Iranian government has reached a “chilling” new milestone in its long-running war against digital dissent by successfully deploying sophisticated military-grade jamming equipment to neutralize Starlink satellite internet.

The operation effectively serves as a successful proof-of-concept for the “Axis of Resistance,” demonstrating a method to suffocate satellite internet access previously thought to be immune to interference.

The collaborative effort appears to follow a distinct division of labor: Russia supplies the heavy hardware, China provides the tactical “manual,” and Iran serves as the testing ground.

The Iranian government – is smart enough to know to block  Musk’s StarLink, which would send out – via the web, Western backed propaganda news clips and video’s, the lack of lies coming from the Western backed NGO’s and foreign agitators has saw the West’s lying propaganda media – having to make up shit on the hoof to run down the Iranian government and broadcast in the West to try and win hearts and minds – so the US Terrorist/Pirate Regime and its lackeys, such as the Brits – so they  can stage some sort of coup in Iran.

Meanwhile the English government is thinking of proscribing Iran’s IRGC – as a terrorist group, the English SAS and SBS are themselves terrorist outfits – they go into a country and cause murder and mayhem to pave the way for coups, the IRGC are defending their own nation from these terrorist outfits.

To exile #6. Thank you for the video of  people walking around in Tehran.
I have seen videos of people walking in Moscow and London (Andrey Martyanov’s site), Beirut, (Lief Malouf’s site); I have walked around in Beijing, China and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, among other cities, also Kashgar, in the autonomous region of western China (I am misspelling the name of that city). In Kuala Lumpur the women wore western clothing and headscarves and in Kashgar most women wore burkas (imagine a woman in a burka driving around on a motorscooter – burka’s don’t determine behavior)
My conclusion is that many places in the world are, as far as their clothing is concerned, entirely homogeneous. Since it seems to me that most of my clothing is made in China (check your own clothes’ labels), China must be very rich and if the US thinks we are going to cut off China’s trade in any way I can only say ha-ha.
I hope you do not think this is off-topic; I think it is very on-topic.

Plus the US law enforcement killed 115 people in the drug boats, which then turned out to be no drug boats when no evidence for drug smuggling was find. You see, even if the Navy was used, the Trump administration curiously created this hybrid form where the Navy does the law enforcement for the US, which of course culminated in the “arrest” of Maduro. So when the law enforcement part breaks tthe law as it did with the boats the US can say it was a Navy operation and when when the military part violates international law as it did with both the Maduro arrest and the boats the US can corcle back and say it was an extraterritorial domestic law enforcement operation.

Except the US doesn’t even expect anyone to take this seriously. Somebody in the Boston review coined the phrase “vice signaling”.

Agreed.  If Iran and the IRGC haven’t learned yet that you need to bully a bully, then they deserve regime change.  However, it’s encouraging to know the people of Iran will NEVER ALLOW a foreign entity like the Jews, US or UK to own its oil again.
