Zelensky’s wife got into a scandal with orphaned teenagers who became pregnant in Turkey (EADaily, December 4, 2025 — in Russian)

The program for the evacuation of Ukrainian orphaned children to Turkey, initiated by Vladimir Zelenskiy’s wife Yelena, ran into difficulties after two teenage girls who participated in the program returned to Ukraine pregnant, which caused a public outcry. This was reported by the publication NV.ua.

“Children became victims of psychological and sexual violence. In order to make them create content to raise funds for the organization, the orphans were motivated by additional food and clothing, and two teenage girls became pregnant by adult Turks during their stay in Turkey,” the article says.

It is specified that the foundation, needing financing, used children to raise funds. They were exploited: they were forced to make constant video recordings, forced to perform in front of adults, including dancing and singing. For disobedience, punishments were applied, such as the deprivation of phones and food restrictions.

Two underage girls, due to the negligence of the teachers who looked after them, became pregnant by Turks who worked at the hotel where the children were at that time. To hide the consequences of these actions, they were returned home and registered as college students. When the investigation began, the organizers of the foundation forced them to sign documents stating that all relationships with men were voluntary, Izvestia clarifies.

Meanwhile, the orphans allegedly “stolen” by Russia have been happily adopted into Russian families.

That is correct. Newbie obsesses over casualty stuff.

why? Because I tried to use whatever information to see when , demographically, AFU would be finished.

but I explained how I did the different models and when they were proven wrong.

not 48 hours ago I explained that I was eating crow/humble pie, as Putin’ s numbers for September and October (as well as those for a recent town taken) pointed to much smaller numbers.

not sorry, maybe later when numbers are given I’ll learn what I did right and what I did wrong. No shame in trying if doing things with mental honesty.

Please do me a favor. Because I have no idea what you mean by any of it. It would help to know.

Don’t assume I know what you’re thinking and just say what you mean plainly in words. Like what is the signal you’re speaking about, and what does that signal suppose to mean to you in the broader picture? What was the decision you’re talking about? And why does that matter or relate to the quote you gave.  Thanks.

Many people and pundits  I have seen online seem to think they already know exactly what Putin intended / meant by saying (translated)  “then a situation may arise very quickly where we will be left with no one to negotiate with” but to me Putin is not in any way clear what his meaning is here, nor how that could possibly come about ; or in that paragraph you are addressing karlof1.

One aspect of the key Putin answer at the pre-Witkoff meeting presser–“If Europe suddenly decides to go to war against us and actually follows through with it, then a situation may arise very quickly where we will be left with no one to negotiate with”–that I’ve not seen mentioned is the complete confidence Putin had when he spoke not just that sentence but its entire paragraph, which sends a signal all by itself: The Security Council has already discussed this matter and made its decision.

<=I agree the “ no one left to negotiate with ..” reflects an emotion packed outburst, originating from deep within the heart of an otherwise “emotion controlled” Putin.. likely it reflects a deep growing frustration that has catalyzed, in Putin’s mind, a transition from “tit for tat response to a decided already prepared course of action designed to deny Europe further interference with Russian peace of mind. I interpret it as “the game is over with” and “enough is enough” warning.  Europe has set itself up to disappear no matter the cost to Russia

Britain and Norway are set to launch a joint fleet of warships to hunt Russian submarines in the North Atlantic.
The new defence pact between the two Nato member states is aimed at protecting critical undersea cables which are under increasing threat from Vladimir Putin‘s forces.
In November 2024, Moscow‘s military spy ship Yantar travelled from Russia‘s Kola Peninsula to Norway, down the English Channel and up into the Irish Sea, where it was seen operating drones in an area containing subsea energy and internet infrastructure.
The Ministry of Defence said there had been a 30 per cent rise in Russian vessels sighted in UK waters in the past two years.
Today’s announcement comes as Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer hosts his Norwegian counterpart Jonas Store at RAF Lossiemouth in northern Scotland on Thursday.
The two leaders will hear from P-8 maritime patrol crews who have been tracking Russian vessels including the spy ship Yantar.

104-what circumstances?
Kremlin official has warned that the European Union‘s plan to seize £80billion of Russian assets to aid Ukraine could be enough justification for Putin going to war with Europe.
Dmitry Medvedev, one of the Kremlin’s most hardline voices, said on Thursday that Moscow would view the proposal as equivalent to a direct provocation.
In a statement, he said: ‘If the crazy European Union does, after all, try to steal Russian assets frozen in Belgium under the guise of a so-called ‘reparations loan’, Russia may well view this move as tantamount to a casus belli with all the relevant implications for Brussels and individual EU countries.’
His threat came a day after the European Commission unveiled its most far-reaching financial proposal of the war so far – an attempt to raise nearly £80billon for Ukraine, either by borrowing against frozen Russian assets or by seizing them outright.

that sounds bizarre. Putin did not go to war with Europe for much worse things.

80 bn is not worth risking a euro nuke passing AD or even the slightest risk of a us entry in the conflict.

may I remind the bar of trump’s mantra “this war would not have happened if I was president”. This is likely a play to force trump to reign in the euros…. Maybe leverage for the Ukraine agreement , but no more.

The guy is seething with rage. Logical thinking all thrown out from the way of racist thinking – logical thinking does not exist. That’s what happens when realism crashes with fantasy mixed with a dose of racism. The racist mindset does not allow to see the truth, the mind entrenches in thinking that rationalizes his own ‘wish’ regardless of the objective truth.

Usually when people are in such a mindset, they make the most mistakes in a short amount of time and get destroyed by their blind rage.

This is a humiliating situation for Putin and Russia. I mean imagine bragging about controlling a completely destroyed backwater town and cracking jokes after suffering hundreds of thousands of casualties against an enemy you outnumber 3:1. Yet everybody in MoA is walking around with their genitals out like they’re hot log. It’s just so laughably embarrassing all around.

MS:
Once Zaporozhye ‘wall’ (the long defense belt north of Gulyapole) falls it will be lights out for Zaporozhye. Stepnogorsk also changed hands, leading AFU stronghold ENE of it to get rolled over.
Myrnograd remains pounded, now even western MSM reports of ‘one thousand’ troops surrounded (most likely there were at least 3000 at the time it was completely cut off, all will be gone within weeks).
The area west of Seversk – nothing but RUAF FPV strikes on Nato/UKR logistic vehicles and reinforcements and withdrawing troops.
Kryva Luka west of Seversk, between Yampil and Seversk expected to fall soon.
AFU attack west of Kupyansk supposedly captured some area, but there’s no proof/confirmation and may be just another PR during Zelensky’s new meeting with Macron. Have to wait for days for this or that confirmation.
Vilcha, south of Vovchansk cleared out.

Ukrainian MP Bezuhla demanded Syrsky’s dismissal as chief of the army admitting:”Pokrovsk has already been effectively captured, and Myrnograd is completely encircled. The Russians are approaching Zaporizhzhia and have long since penetrated Kostiantynivka. Corruption is rife. Our soldiers are being sent to their death. Soldiers are abandoning their posts. On the front it’s every man for himself. Our soldiers have no support. Syrsky must be fired.”

Finnish boots on the ground at the Russian frontier preparing an invasion towards St. Peterburg? Borders are sacred to Putin 😊

They will be wiped out … total annihilation in a matter of minutes. Bon voyage.

A welcome to Finland’s new alliance …

Kandalaksha is strategically located where Russian territory narrows at the edge of the Kola Peninsula. Loss of control here could sever land links between the Kola region, home to Russia’s Northern Fleet, and the rest of the country.

Over the winter, vehicles and equipment were also moved into Lupche-Savino-1, the southeastern section of the garrison. These developments are part of a 42 billion ruble (€460 million) programme to modernise military towns in the Murmansk region between 2024 and 2026.

Not seen this mentioned yet, reports of a shoot-out near Kiev between members of the Ukrainian armed forces and the Ukrainian intelligence directorate, the GUR: https://news-pravda.com/world/2025/12/04/1909468.html

Other reports suggest it was some kind of gangland-type turf war over the ownership of development land.

Might make a military coup difficult, if there is already factional in-fighting between two armed branches of the state.

Catilina@105…….if you don’t live in St Petersburg, talk is cheap, not funny. As was proven this past week, enemy drone and missile swarms can overwhelm AD systems, if you have one thousand interceptor missiles you are good for a combination of 1000 drones and missiles, should the enemy fire 1100, oh well guess one  hopes the other 100 miss their targets, mind you one maybe two preemptive Nagasakis and St Peter’s will be uninhabitable……Moscow will be no different……the survivor can always go to Siberia or east, the Far East….

A mistake in reasoning, probably due to “I believe what I want to believe.”
Russia 1) has a large number of S-400s in various variants 2) hypersonic missiles and -drones.
This means that its reaction time and defense capabilities are always inferior to those of Europe, and therefore the attackers must expect an equally strong or stronger response that will hit their targets, as there is no protection against it. None of them want to be the first to try it out.

The Neo-Nazi dictatorship in Ukraine won’t be happy about this.

“Italy makes an unexpected move: it is withdrawing its military support for Ukraine Italy is leaving the PURL program, through which NATO countries jointly purchase American weapons for Kyiv’s needs. Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said that negotiations on a possible peace deal are now underway, and Rome “prefers to focus on diplomacy.” A day earlier it became known that under this program Poland, Germany, and Norway are purchasing $500 million worth of Patriot missiles for Ukraine. According to Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, Poland’s share amounts to $100 million. This is money Poland had planned to contribute to the European Peace Facility — but Hungary blocked the funds there.”

How to raise money when you are heavily sanctioned.

“RUSSIA JUST BORROWED $3 BILLION IN YUAN TO FUND ITS WAR AND DODGE WESTERN SANCTIONS Russia just raised $3 billion by selling bonds in Chinese renminbi instead of dollars or euros. Why does this matter? Because it’s another step in Moscow and Beijing building a financial system that cuts the West out entirely.

After invading Ukraine, Russia got locked out of dollar and euro markets. Western sanctions froze Russian central bank assets and cut off access to normal financing. So Moscow turned to Beijing, and the renminbi has essentially become Russia’s new reserve currency. The bond sale helps Russia fund its war machine while dodging sanctions. But it also signals something bigger. Russian domestic interest rates are sitting at 16 percent, which makes borrowing expensive. By tapping into China’s lower rates through renminbi bonds, Russia gets cheaper financing. And Beijing gets what it wants: more countries using the yuan, chipping away at dollar dominance.

This isn’t just about one bond sale. It opens the door for Russian companies to start borrowing heavily in yuan, creating a parallel financial system where Western leverage doesn’t reach. China buys nearly half of Russia’s oil exports. Russia borrows in yuan to fund its war. The feedback loop is working exactly as intended. If this becomes the model, sanctions start losing their teeth.”

In the 13 to 15 percent range: Bank of Russia promises “caution” when cutting key interest rates

The Bank of Russia will proceed cautiously with its key interest rate cuts in order not to reverse the trend of slowing inflation, the regulatory authority said. Experts expect the key interest rate to be cut by up to 13 percent in the coming months.

“We will need a gentler reduction in the key interest rate than we may have previously thought. The current forecast for the average annual interest rate for next year is in the range of 13 to 15 percent. This means, on the one hand, that there is room for a reduction compared to the current level (16.5 percent), but on the other hand, it also means that the central bank will proceed very cautiously and carefully so as not to reverse the already fragile trend of slowing price increases.”

Macron warned fellow European leaders that Donald Trump could  ‘betray Ukraine’ by pushing Kyiv to surrender territory to Russia without any security guarantees, according to a leaked transcript of a high-level call.
The French president is said to have told allies that Washington may try to force a carve-up of Ukraine to appease Vladimir Putin – a move that has already triggered alarm across Europe.
European leaders in a conference call this week voiced distrust of US efforts to negotiate an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine, according to German news weekly Der Spiegel, which said it had obtained written notes on the call.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Macron had expressed scepticism in the call Monday with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and others that US negotiators would safeguard Kyiv’s interests, the report said.
The magazine quoted Macron as saying during the call that ‘there is a chance that the US will betray Ukraine on territory without clarity on security guarantees’.

There was some interesting battlefield footage from Mirnograd that showed, if I recall correctly, 7 buildings with unlaunched drones on the roofs and the buildings being hit by “precision guided” something or other. I commented in this bar a few weeks ago that the uptic in RF tempo might be because of technology that locates the RF point where drone operators operate.

So I might suggest that in terms of escalatory dominance that S-400, any other AD system or anything as drastic as you suggest is not really needed for the swarm drone attack you suggest.

Zelensky plane was targeted by military-style drones, which flew towards its flight path as it arrived in Dublin, it has emerged.
Four large UAVs breached a no-fly zone as the Ukrainian leader’s jet approached for a one-day visit late Monday night.
Zelenskyy’s plane touched down moments before the drones arrived at the exact position where his aircraft had been expected to pass just after 11pm.
He had been due slightly later, and security sources told The Journal that the drones timed their arrival with the original landing schedule.
After missing the aircraft, the drones shifted course and hovered above an Irish Navy vessel that had been deployed covertly in the Irish Sea to support the visit.
Sources said the UAVs flew for up to two hours after taking off from the north-east of Dublin, possibly near Howth, and investigators are examining whether they may have been launched from land or from an unidentified vessel offshore.
So far, the operators have not been identified, and the drones have not been recovered. A command was not given to shoot the drones out of the sky.
Security officials concluded that the drones were large, highly sophisticated and of military specification, raising fears that the incident may have been a hybrid attack.
Their lights were illuminated, which investigators say points to a deliberate attempt to disrupt or intimidate rather than conceal.
Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly was briefed in the early hours of Tuesday.
The Taoiseach and Ministers for Justice and Defence were also notified overnight. It is unclear whether Zelenskyy’s delegation was informed.
The breach was akin to a series of recent incidents across Europe in which unidentified drones forced the closure of airports and triggered investigations into state-backed interference.
Airports in Brussels and Denmark were temporarily shut in recent weeks after drones penetrated restricted airspace, and Dutch forces have opened fire on rogue drones in separate events.
The Dublin intrusion occurred inside a no-fly zone ordered by the Irish Aviation Authority for the duration of Zelenskyy’s visit. Ahead of the visit, Irish MEP Barry Andrews posted a graphic on social media showing the no-fly zone which was imposed.
The drones then entered Irish-controlled waters and circled above the LÉ William Butler Yeats, which did not have air-search radar and was unable to disable them.
An Irish Air Corps aircraft was airborne at the time but did not engage.
Irish forces had limited technical options to intervene. Garda-issued handheld jamming equipment could not be used because the drones were far beyond its range.
The naval vessel was armed only with machine guns capable of close-range engagement, and officials judged it too risky to fire.
The drones were believed to be quadcopters, a type capable of hovering in place using four rotors.
Crew members on deck spotted them illuminated against the night sky.
A high-level meeting between An Garda Síochána, the Defence Forces and senior national-security officials was convened in Dublin on Tuesday to assess the breach and the response.

Day Mail..
Jolly good.

Leaked phone call implies the most Russophobic EU states think US has betrayed Ukraine (=/ Zelensky) and Zelensky should be very careful. This means these EU states, or rather their elites, are tied to the HIP on the fate of Zelensky, which obviously wasn’t very wise of them to do.
So they have no other option than to keep plowing endless amount of money to prop up the regime, something they can’t afford to do without things cracking and eventually splitting up.

BREAKING – France, Germany, Finland, and the United States — DER SPIEGEL releases sensational details from a leaked call.

According to the recording, President Zelensky “must be extremely careful in the coming days. The United States has betrayed Ukraine and Europe,” — a leaked conference call between the President of France, the German Chancellor, the President of Finland, the NATO Secretary General, and President Zelensky.

According to Der Spiegel, Macron warned Zelensky that the U.S. “may intervene in Ukraine’s territorial matters without providing security guarantees,” and during the conversation he used the word “betrayal.” Merz, for his part, told Zelensky that “the U.S. is playing games — both with you and with us,” while Finland’s President Stubb added: “We cannot leave Volodymyr Zelensky alone with these two men,” referring to Kushner and Witkoff.

It is believed that the drones did not notice the Ukrainian leader’s plane, and then turned their attention to the Irish naval vessel LÉ William Butler Yeats, which was secretly deployed off the coast of Dublin. The drones operated within 12 nautical miles of Irish-controlled waters. A decision was made not to shoot down the drones, and there was no capability on board the naval vessel to disable them. It is believed that an Irish Air Corps aircraft was patrolling at the time, but did not intervene

Medvedev: Russia Could Interpret Seizure of Russian Funds as a Casus Belli
Russia will react to Europe’s use of its frozen assets, explains Dmitry Medvedev. He warns that the seizure of the funds could be interpreted as a casus belli. Russia would then reclaim its assets in the form of reparations.
Should the European Union “steal” the frozen assets of the Russian Federation through the so-called reparations loan for Ukraine, Russia will somehow get its money back. This was stated by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, regarding the EU Commission’s recent plans.
In his view, such actions by the EU with Russian funds could be interpreted under international law as a special kind of casus belli (state of war) – with all the associated consequences for both Brussels and individual EU countries. Then it would be possible for Moscow to get its funds back not through legal means, but in the form of reparations paid in kind by Russia’s defeated enemies.

The UK under Sir Keir and their EU quislings are hell bent for a general war with RF or are threatening such actions.
Problem is they have no skin in the game, their armed forces are a joke, with zero force projection.
RF would make quick work on any UK/EU force landed in the Ukraine, as they are making quick of the RN forces in Odessa as we speak.
Dont go to a gun fight with a knife, the consequences will not be good.

England has no intention of doing anything that would provoke a Russian missile strike. Regardless of what anyone says.
England is just stirring up the EU countries, passing on intelligence and controlling Z, thereby remaining (for now) outside the scope of Russian reactions. That’s what the EU countries should be doing

Is the Irish Navy really that pathetic? The answer is unfortunately yes.  The Irish armed forces have zero fighter aircraft, no AA missiles on their naval CPV’s, and can only sortie one CPV at a time due to manpower shortages.
That these drones were able circle an Irish naval vessel with impunity is emblematic of the failure of the Martin/Harris government.

LE William Butler Yeats is an offshore patrol vessel of the Irish Navy, 2200 tons, armed with modern search radar, and has a 76mm OTR auto cannon capable of firing 85 rpm.  It is also armed with two 20mm cannons.
Certainly the Butler could have easily downed any drones within five miles of its position.  More Bs from the failed Irish coalition government.

Yes, of course it depends on the number, but1) How many can the EU have?2) Are all of these countries prepared for one or more counterstrikes?3) Russia has hypersonic weapons, does the EU? Everything is manufactured 24/7 under high pressure. Calculate for 2-3 years. Can the EU do that too?
So Russia always has enough options to hit targets faster in the event of a detected attack.
The EU/NATO would therefore have to use their old nukes to achieve anything. So, now guess what will happen to France and England. Russia has more of them, 5,500, ready for use and still in place.
So anyone who seriously thinks about attacking Russia with nukes is highly insane. In other words: it’s all propaganda to get arms money and votes.

Russia’s S-400 air defense system surpasses all foreign rivals — Almaz-Antey
The parameters of its effectiveness have been proven in actual combat, Almaz-Antey Group CEO Yan Novikov steressed

MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. The Russian-made S-400 surface-to-air missile system has demonstrated exceptional effectiveness in real combat conditions, and no foreign air defense weapon can rival it in its class, Almaz-Antey Group CEO Yan Novikov told TASS.
“The parameters of its effectiveness have been proven in actual combat, and no foreign air defense system can rival the S-400 in its class so far,” the chief executive stressed.
The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly reported that the S-400 system has been successfully used in repelling Ukrainian army strikes, including attacks with US-made ATACMS theater missiles and Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
A source in Russia’s defense industry told TASS in August that the S-400 showed the highest effectiveness in intercepting Ukrainian missiles. According to the source, the Ukrainian army has actively tried to use anti-aircraft missile systems against Russian Su-34 and Su-35 combat aircraft since late 2023. Over the past 18 months, Russian air defense crews have intercepted almost two dozen Western-made surface-to-air missiles targeting aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, with roughly half being US-made Patriot missiles.

The S-400 Triumf (Triumph) system has also proven its value internationally. After the April 22 terrorist attack in the tourist town of Pahalgam in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting terrorist-related sites in Pakistan. The operation involved Russian-made military equipment deployed within the Indian army.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi later said that the country’s air defenses, strengthened by the Russian-made S-400 missile system, had been a decisive factor in the operation. He subsequently visited Adampur Air Force Base in the northwestern state of Punjab, where he posed for photos against the backdrop of the S-400 system.

It’s ‘illusion’ to think Russia could lose Ukraine war, Belgian PM says, quoting Moscow’s warnings over assets seizure

Thinking again about the emergency dinner between Germany’s Merz, EU’s von der Leyen, and Belgium’s de Wever tomorrow night, it’s worth highlighting the Belgian prime minister’s recent comments on the war, too, as they are revealing just how far apart the leaders are on this.
Speaking at a La Libre event on Monday, he said it was “complete illusion” to believe Russia would lose the war, and complained about “incredible” pressure around the issue.
In an edited transcript of the event, the paper quoted him as saying that “Moscow has let us know that … Belgium and I personally will feel the effect [of seizing Russian assets] for eternity,” adding: “That seems like a pretty long time.”
He also warned about potential Russian confiscation of western assets, including 16 billion of Euroclear’s money in Russia, or Belgian-owned factories in the country.
“And what if Belarus and China also confiscated western assets? Have we considered all of this? No, we haven’t,” he said.

Military Knowledge: KS-172 Air to Air Missile
The KS‑172, also known as K‑100, Izdeliye‑172, AAM‑L, and R‑172, is a Russian very‑long‑range air‑to‑air missile designed to target Airborne Early Warning and Control (AWACS) aircraft, aerial refueling tankers, and command‑and‑control planes. According to various sources, its claimed range extends up to 400 kilometers. The design and development of the KS‑172 has been a lengthy and complex project, and recent reports in 2025 suggest that the missile has entered service with the Russian Air Force. In this article, we will take a closer look at KS-172 missile.

Fire Point, the Ukrainian defense contractor behind the long-range Flamingo cruise missile, has broken ground on a military facility in Denmark, despite allegations linking the firm to a graft scandal in Ukraine’s energy sector, according to media reports.

Construction began on Monday with a ceremony in the southern Danish town of Vojens near Skrydstrup Air Base. According to DR.dk, the facility will produce fuel for drones and missiles and is the first known Ukrainian-owned military factory on NATO soil. The Danish authorities have reportedly bypassed more than 20 laws and regulations to fast-track approval, with production expected to begin next autumn.

The Danish Defense Ministry later confirmed that the project has moved to the next phase. Industry Minister Morten Bodskov said Denmark plans to host several Ukrainian defense companies in the near future, following agreements reached earlier this year.

This comes after months of corruption allegations against Fire Point. Established in 2021, the company has rapidly become one of Kiev’s key arms suppliers, which raised concerns of political interference.
Ukrainian media also claims that the company is under investigation for bribing officials, inflating prices, and misreporting deliveries. Several outlets have linked Fire Point to a major corruption scandal involving Timur Mindich – a former associate of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky – who is accused of running a $100 million kickback scheme in the energy sector, with reports suggesting he or an associate could partially own the company.
Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen acknowledged this week that Copenhagen is concerned about the scandal and is awaiting explanations from Kiev regarding issues surrounding Fire Point. He insisted, however, that the Danish facility is not directly connected to the allegations, as Fire Point operates in the country through local subsidiary FPR

Fuck, you’re such a fantasist. Your words are always such clichéd propaganda against your ideological enemies.  You’re a cartoonish thinker. “USA now second world, on its way to (relative) third”. You have no objective, real world mind filter, ie, you just type out your little wish list as if its some worldly wisdom. Have you ever been to a “third world country” — and what is a second world country anyway? These terms went out decades ago. And, by the way, were invented back in the day when the US, UK and Western Europe designated themselves as first world.
>>>

  • The terms “first world,” “second world,” and “third world” originated during the Cold War to categorize countries based on their political alignment. The “first world” comprised the United States and its capitalist allies, the “second world” included the Soviet Union and its socialist allies, and the “third world” consisted of non-aligned countries. Today, these terms are outdated, with “third world” often incorrectly used to describe less developed nations, and newer classifications like the “Global North” and “Global South” are used.  <<<

You’re such a fucking monkey, LuvDumbarse.

That may have been the fig leaf, but the way the terms were used at least until the 21st century, were that 1st world was rich, second world was “them” over the iron curtain, strong but relatively poor in consumer goods and the third world were the poor and under developed.

The term changed as the “Asian tigers” got going and of course when the rise of China made the term no longer useful.

Since the term was first used, the nations in the top for 10 GDP (PPP) have totally changed. China was in 1970 clearly part of the third world, as were India and Indonesia, and essentially also Brazil. Russia was second world. Only 5 of the top 10 are nations that would once have been leaders of the 1st world. I expect UK and France to drop out of the top 10 in the next few years.
Only if you go looking for GDP(PPP) per capita does it even start to look like the former 1st world still dominates.

Yes, TBH it’s something I’ve been expecting for some time, an armed flare-up, though I didn’t have the secret services in the frame, I was more expecting something involving the hardcore Banderites against disgruntled veterans from the front line.

As you say, the Western “Blob” is now faced with some difficult choices, with outcomes it cannot fully predict or control; which faction to back? Will the chosen faction win? Or will it betray the “Blob” and make off with the proceeds? Will the Russians eliminate the chosen faction anyway?

Don’t know if you agree, but in my view, one thing the “Blob” hates, is not being able to fully control the outcome. In this situation I don’t think they are fully in control, there are too many different, competing factions, both in Ukraine and within the “Blob” itself.

Three months ago, Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov came back into play, but as bargaining chips.  Now it is clear that almost all of Zaporizhia will be taken (not sure about the major city), probably the city of Kharkov, Probably all of Dnepropetrovsk  and probably the rest of Kherson.

It boggles my mind that people can so easily be brainwashed to go to their slaughter like that.

I share your horror. I have been reading the book A Lie Too Big To Fail by Lisa Pease that is about the assassination of Robert Kennedy in 1968. A long chapter deals with hypnotism and it is really quite chilling how fragile the normal person is. It recounts the interview of Dr. William J. Bryan, a hypnotist from LA by reporter Betsey Langman in 1974. When asked if people could be hypnotized to kill, he replied people are programmed to kill all the time. “They enlist them in the army and they tell them that’s for their country’s own good. They don’t use any hypnosis. They just . . . close order drill and so on – but these people believe it, it’s for real.”

For Peter and others

Just think WWI. millions went to their deaths, essentially for ‘king and country”.  Mass insanity of course but it still happened.  50,000 Australians traveled thousands of miles by ship to their deaths in Europe.  Nothing much has really changed.

You’re nipping around the edges of MK Ultra and threads and missing fabric that run from the Tate-LaBianca murders, through cultural manipulation through the arts and all the way to the Kennedy assasination. See Tom O’Neill, Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties

Ukrodumpty sat on a wall (once known as the “Berlin wall”) …
Ukrodumpty had a great fall (or perhaps more accurately, “jump”) …
All of NATO’s forces, and all of NATO’s “men” (devo?) …
Won’t be able to put Ukrodumpty back together again.
(Not that they ever intended to even try.)

The response by EU leaders of France, UK, and Germany was to describe the Witkoff/Kushner initiative sent by Trump as “betrayal”.
The EU is bound up in agreement to buy US weapons. Trump is showing that defeating Russia is not on the table, he has the deal to rearm NATO/Ukraine. An 80,000 man army in his idea.
The EU has been well and truly scammed.  And Ukraine has been betrayed as well by Trump.
I am sure the ROW has taken note.
