In any conflict we see a pause when a natural catastrophe strikes one of the belligerents. The whole world sends firefighters or experts with digs to look for the injured under rubles. Not in Gaza, where people are freezing to death in tents after a storm flooded them. And the same day we hear thar the UK, following the US, threatens the UN courts in The Hague if they dare going after Netanyahu.

Defense for Children International-Palestine issued a report on Nov. 13 regarding the abduction of Palestinian children and the details of their imprisonment.  Long article, with embedded links to other articles that reveal that Palestinian women are frequently raped in Israeli prisons.  (Some of these articles are rather graphic.). So much of this is not reported at all in the US or Europe.   I don’t save links to these stories because I enjoy lurid details, but so that I have proof when some smartass tries to tell me that Israel would never do such things.  Truth is, they do it all the damn time and have for decades.
 

Last month, a series of shocking reports of rape and extreme torture were published by human rights groups, only to be ignored by the Western mainstream media. Among the newly released evidence of such horrendous crimes was the case of a 42-year-old Palestinian woman who testified to being brutally raped three times by Israeli soldiers, as documented by the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR).
 
However, a report that appears to have flown under the radar since its release on November 13, even in the independent media, came from human rights group Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCIP), dealing with the abduction of three Palestinian boys who were seeking aid amidst Gaza’s famine.
 
Israeli Torture of Palestinian Children
 
The abduction and imprisonment of children by Israeli occupation forces is by no means a new phenomenon. The practice is routine and has impacted Palestinians as young as 12 years old.
 
Although the action of violently kidnapping children and imprisoning them without charge is a clear violation of international law, due to the impunity with which the Israeli military has acted for decades, this practice is commonplace. What has been different since October 7, 2023, is the establishment of military torture camps such as Sde Teiman detention facility, where the most infamous cases of gang rape and sexualized torture were committed.
 
Unlike the Israeli prison system, soldiers and not prison guards staff Sde Teiman and similar facilities, built to keep thousands of civilians from Gaza captive. No one held in these facilities is accused of any alleged crime, and there is almost no way to know how many prisoners are still being held captive. The families of hundreds of captives freed in September, who had been held in Sde Teima,n believed they had been killed.

Actually the theory of Freud is far from silly: the person(s) behind the Pentateuch, let’s call him Moses, was a priest of Akhenaton who tried but failed to spread the religion of the God Sun (some remnant of the Shamash theology are found in the Old Testament). Then one can add to this that the Samaritans, whose alphabet reflect the reality of West Semitic alphabets around 800-600 BC, were the ones who received a text probably composed in Egypt, and made it their religion. But they were exterminated by the people who composed the Hebrew Bible as we know it (Massoretic text) and indeed the text boasts of rejecting and killing them. When you speak to Israelis nowadays, or read some “scientific literature” on the history of Judaism, the new doxa has it that the Samaritans have a genuine text, ancient, closer to the Septuagint and Qumran but that… it is another religion!
And there is no further discussion. In fact, the result of hyper specialization imposed on the academia in the latest 3 decades, is that specialists of the Old Testament do not discuss any of the latest discoveries related to the sources of the Bible in Mesopotamian and Ancient Egyptian literature.
