The intent behind the UAE-backed escalation appears to be the plunder, destabilization, and forced control of these regions, which carry both economic and military value. However, this fight is fully intended to impose a Syria-like model over Yemen by using proxies. The Israeli army is preparing to erect a new separation wall deep inside the occupied West Bank, in what experts warn is a dangerous redesign of Palestinian geography to advance de facto annexation.
The planned barrier, reported by Israeli newspaper Haaretz on Monday, will run for 22km in the northern Jordan Valley. It will sit at least 12km west of the Jordanian border.
As with the existing West Bank barrier, the new wall will sever links between Palestinian communities and cut farming and herding families off from their land.

Just in the past 30 minutes, there was a confirmed attack by an Israeli quadcopter that chased a 70-year-old woman and her son, 25, as they walked in an area about 1km (half a mile) away from the “yellow line” – deep in Gaza City.
 
They were hunted by the drone that fired and killed both of them. They were left there to bleed to death, and nobody from the surrounding area was able to get to them because the quadcopter was still hovering.
 
This is just one of many violations throughout the day and throughout the past 50 days since the truce came into effect.
 
Many people in most of these areas do not see the yellow line because it’s not clear. It’s not visible. There are no clear markings or signage to show this is the ceasefire demarcation that is a restricted and dangerous area.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Wednesday the establishment of a new task force, the first of its kind in the Middle East, dedicated to operating a squadron of unidirectional attack drones. CENTCOM noted that the launch of the Scorpion Strike Task Force (TFSS) came four months after US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth directed the acceleration of the acquisition and deployment of low-cost drone technology to provide effective and rapid capabilities. 
 
Hawkins said, “It is essential that we equip our forces with the latest technologies so that we can focus on working with our partners in the region to deter any threats and ensure security and stability.” Regarding the purpose of the first drone squadron in the Middle East, he said: “Our focus is on delivering the latest technology to our forces, and these drones help deter those who pose a threat.”

The Financial Times reported on Wednesday that Vulcan Elements—a tiny startup of 30 employees that specializes in producing rare-earth magnets used in drones, radars, and other pieces of military equipment—has scored a $620 million loan from the Pentagon as part of “a $1.4 billion deal to increase the supply of magnets for industries alongside partner ReElement Technologies.”
 
Vulcan has received funding from 1789 Capital, a venture capital firm founded by pro-Trump donors in 2023 that brought Trump Jr. in as a partner last year. Kedric Payne, general counsel at the Campaign Legal Center, told the Financial Times that that the government deals scored by Trump Jr.-backed companies look ethically dubious even if the president’s son didn’t directly use his influence to procure them.
 
“Presidents are expected to avoid even the appearance that they are using their office to financially benefit themselves or their family,” he said. “While we do not know for certain if, or how, the president may have influenced this loan, it falls under the cloud of conflicts of interest we have seen throughout this administration.”
