Is it my idea or is that Mearsheimer video an AI Fake?

I think there are quite a few of them. If you watch the Yanis Varoufakis one. The words spoken are identical to the Mearsheimer video.

The publisher of the videos were the same Nakudi Nadine.

Exact same words spoken with 2 different presenters. Mershiemer and Varoufakis. So defo AI.

There’s a war of words and a war of different ideologies taking place everywhere. It is all about the capture of skills and real resources. Yet, different words and framing and narratives are being used in this war.

This explains it beautifully….

Rachel Reeves and the great fiscal sleight of hand.

https://new-wayland.com/blog/great-fiscal-sleight-of-hand/

It’s wonderful in It’s simplicity how it explains it.

It’s the war of centuries and that of who owns the skills and real resources of a nation. The battleground of left v right since the beginning of history of mankind.

The left wing view……

Should Government  command any real resources available for sale in its currency and can use its sovereign power to force those resources to be freed up so it can purchase them for the public good.

You can determine that business and banks are servants of the people. Government can take first choice of resources for the public purpose, then allow business and banks to work with what is left, before hoovering up any left over resources with a Job Guarantee.
The public wrap of the private system provides a containment vessel around the nuclear power of capitalism. We can draw its power without the boom. We can fuel it with public investment and improve the power output.
The focus of government action shifts from money to the actual things we need to buy for the public purpose. Smart people talk about government buying, not spending.
From this, government sets the policy for spending and taxation at a level that allows the Job Guarantee and other auto-stabilisation mechanisms (such as standby investment contracts) to function.

The right wing sound money view…..

That government is just another organisation in the system that has to compete for resources by price. Business and banks always get first choice of the real resources and government has to make do with the scraps. They believe the bankers and businesses should be in charge and that the population are just factors of production to be shifted around, like ingots of steel, as business requires.

That Central Bank Governors, waving their expectations fairy wand can control The money supply and the supply and demand functions  with  One interest  Rate to Rule Them All. A complete myth just as much of a fantasy tale as the One Ring to rule them all. That business confidence and the bankers  should determine the size of the unemployment line.

Every time you turn on your radio or TV or computer this is war taking place. As always carried out  In Orwellian fashion using set words and phrases that try to hide this fundamental , ideological battle from the public.

Well-said , and crystallises my thoughts on the matter for me. I am definitely a “Left” Man.
My view is also that the Left cares about life in general, and the Right , life as well…but in particular, and only about theirs and their loved one’s .  No one else’s .

AI is taking gait-analysis to new heights-!

Reporting for Blaze News on 8 November 2025, Steve Baker and Joseph Hanneman detail forensic analysis which indicates that a female former U.S. Capitol Police Officer’s gait is a 94%-98% match to the unique stride of the long-sought J6 pipe-bomb suspect.

A software algorithm that analyzes walking parameters, including flexion (knee bend,) hip extension, speed, step-length, cadence & variance rated Shauni Rae Kerkhoff, 31, of Alexandria, Virginia as a 94% match to the bomb suspect shown on video placing the pipe bombs outside the DNC headquarters on 5 January 2021 and also the RNC headquarters.

A source close to an ongoing congressional investigation of J6 additionally told Blaze News that evidence has emerged recently which pointed toward law enforcement possibly being involved in the planting of the pipe bombs:  “They were f**king in on it.”

Baker & Hanneman:  “Kerkhoff was a Capitol Police officer for four and a half years but left the department in mid-2021 for a security detail at the CIA, where she still serves on dignitary protection teams for officials, including CIA director John Ratcliffe.”

Yikes.

“On 7 November 2025, Kerkhoff’s Alexandria, Virginia residence appeared to be under the watch of law enforcement,” according to Baker & Hanneman.  “Blaze News editor in chief Christopher Bedford was pulled over by local police after stopping to observe the home. He was then allowed to leave.”

Like everything about J6, which has become the Schroedinger’s Cat of insurrections, emerging details are suggestive and strange and smudged w/ smoked-up oddities:  former FBI special Agent Kyle Seraphin said, “Within days of J6, the FBI positioned us one door away from the now-suspected pipe bomber’s house, and we were deliberately pulled away soon after for no logical or rationally investigative reason.  Everything about that tells me they were involved in a cover-up and have been since Day One.”

I listened to this Haiphong (2 hours +) interview while doing a lot of cooking.

Guest 1 is Alastair Crooke he makes some good points.  What he leaves out or misses… Trump threatens and does ‘de-capitation’ measures, e.g. strikes on Iran, other, more, see his killing of Soleimani in his first term.  Targeting the ‘top’ to demonstrate high impact…? (Won’t work..)

my point >  In the US, ‘Israeli’ type measures, sorties, are being implemented.  ICE thugs drag ppl, immigrants (..) in the streets and sends them off to some prison-camp system, see Settlers in the W Bank attacking Palestinians.
Trump threatens Venezuela, targets boats, with words Greenland, Canada, attacked Yemen, see Isr. attacking Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, Yemen … (list for sure not complete) …

The US just passed the political event horizon. It is now officially an autocracy, as per the SCOTUS ruling that POTUS can do anything he wants, such as withholding legislated funds for feeding children, as long as he calls it an “emergency”.

The corporate media ignoring the significance of this “ruling” is the tell. However, I expected the Week in Review to have this as a topic. I am disappointed.

The US Constitution passed away Friday night. It had been on its deathbed for a while. It was smothered at midnight of the news cycle by an unknown number of anonymous cowards in black robes, hiding behind a risible declaration of emergency – the classic tool of an autocratic takeover. The Constitution’s clothing, that is, the public’s infrastructure, will be sold for pennies on the dollar to the billionaires and corporations who arranged the smothering.

Succeeding the Constitution as the law of the land will be the usual pile of contradictory and changeable rules and decrees to be interpreted or ignored as the autocrat sees fit. This is merely the domestic application of the “rules based order” of coercive economic relationships, comprador leadership, and overt military presence that the US has imposed on its empire for half a century.

The Constitution is Dead; Long Live the Rules

What is today?

Today is Sunday, the 22nd Sunday after Pentecost!  Glory to God for this day!

What is the reading for today?  Today’s Gospel reading is Luke 8:26-39

Then they arrived at the country of the Gerasenes….

Where are we?

We are in Alaska.   Two men are walking alone together down a long red carpet …they stand together momentarily, and then both get in a large black limousine.  They take a short drive together, and the vehicle door opens and each gets out.  One man, the larger one disappears into the city.  The other man goes to a graveyard, where he bows before the graves of his countrymen and lays for each a wreath.  Then he brings icons to the monks standing there and says these are from his own church in his own country.  Only then, he  also departs.

Where is the other man?   He is long gone.  But this was Alaska, and Putin has been here.  And today, this day today, November 9, 2025, is the Sunday of the Great Gospel Reading from Saint Luke:

“…  … … and as he stepped out on land, there met him a man from the city who had demons;  for a long time he had worn no clothes,  and he lived not in a house but among the tombs.  When he saw Jesus he cried out and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice,  “What have you to do with me, Jesus,  Son of the Most High God?  I beseech you, do not torment me.”…
Jesus then asked him, “What is your name?”
And he said,  “Legion.”

This was, this is now and always,   Alaska

Today and always.

Question:   What did Jesus tell the demons to do?  What did he tell the healed dweller among the tombs to do?    Read Dostoievski’s second great novel “The Demons” and find out.  Or, go to Scripture:  Luke 8:28-29.   See:  here that is:

“… The man from whom the demons had gone begged that he might be with him; but he sent him away saying “Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.”  And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.”

AI videos can now make any well-known personality appear to do and say anything the manipulator wishes.

The more outrageous the action and/or speech is, the more likely a viewer will question its reality — except in cases of typically outrageous and unpredictable characters such as Salvadore Dali. (did Dali REALLY say or do such-and-such? In many cases, yes, he actually did)

That’s why all videos of certain people such as Donald Trump can be more difficult to assess. Did Trump REALLY say or do such-and-such? Well… maybe!

The Constitution is not dead! It lives in We the People!!!

An admirable sentiment, but it needs to be operationalized. How do the people organize when every avenue for that has either been co-opted (Democratic Party) or smashed (labor unions)? More importantly, how do you even explain to the average person just what a dire moment this is. Most people are distracted by social media, violent sports, gambling of all sorts. Furthermore, most people are living hand to mouth and have no time to follow politics in any detail. The few who actually pay attention to politics are blasted with literally a million opinions from influencers.

As usual, TPTB have cleverly chosen the illegal aliens as their justification for tearing up the law. Citizens, targeted by ICE simply because they look a certain way, are organizing. But its tenous. And there is always the threat of yet another emergency decree declaring  that “interfering” with ICE is “terrorism”.

I dunno man. Left was useful when the people organized unions and took a step away from serfdom.  There was a time when while not quantum accurate, it was sufficient to create a sense of belonging while still maintaining a self. Today the left just fights everything for special interests. Hence pro human anti human  is more useful today imo.

this one’s for all the boat people the West has bombed or more commonly just drowned. “There’s a grave in the wave,” the Louvin Brothers’ hymn to Americans sailing to Korea to get our freedom back from those slopes and shores. It’s a proud tradition for US heroic war fighters by air and sea to never fight anyone that can shoot back. excepting the friendly fire of course. someone has that liberty, at least on occasion.

Serfdom never went away though; it was repackaged and sold as something different.

Kinda like how the head of the NFLPA always sides with the owners when push comes to shove.

If one is a criminal, maintaining the police commissioner as a friend or client is “smart” business. The company leadership is wise to keep the union bosses fat and happy, when one creates a dependency on the other, resistance is token at best. Exploiting fear and greed is pretty simple, certainly as morally strong people with integrity are the first to get (even if metaphorically) taken out.

RE:  the Constitution is dead

<<

The U.S. Constitution is alive and well.

SCOTUS, representing the judicial branch of the federal gov’t,  is simply not going to the do the heavy lifting required of both the legislative branch (Congress) and the executive branch (presidential) to resolve an issue that falls under the domain of both those branches, not the judicial.

This is in compliance of the U.S. Constitution.

The sooner the gov’t reopens after its lengthy shutdown, the sooner the Dept of Agriculture can pay-out the full SNAP benefits as mandated by Congress.

Keep in mind that 55 members of the senate have voted to reopen the gov’t, including 4 Dems—but they need 5 more Dems to get on-board in order to have the necessary votes for reopening.

And by the way, though it is not SCOTUS’s purview to do the heavy lifting for the legislative & executive branches, it is the purview of the electorate.

If citizens disapprove of the lengthy gov’t shutdown and all the hardship issues which arise as a result of it, we can vote the obstructionist bums out the next chance we get.

And this is in compliance w/ the U.S. Constitution too.

Thanks. I like watching that, though flying tourists around wasn’t for me. But then my flying wasn’t for everyone either.
In the Kimberly’s I would work with choppers. One, a Kiwi pilot, he was very good, some of the places I saw him take the chopper into I thought he would take out the tail rotor on the trees.

Though in my time up there, many stories were told about good chopper pilots and virtually all ended with how they died. I guess if I had not become ill, my story would of likely ended in how I bit the dust. Though there was one bloke who had 17000 hours up. He’d been hanging upside down in trees and all sorts of things. Others though that were far more careful or timid than me bit the dust early.

Those mustering chopper pilots though, they sit in what is called the dead mans seat. he head they sit at in a hover or slowly moving cattle along is deadly if there is an engine out. Not high enough to dive and gain airspeed for an autorotate landing, high enough to hit very hard.
An engine out in a chopper, the blades have to be brought back to a finer pitch and get them auto rotating same as my machine and for that, some air speed is required.

The US military security state.Pretty much stopped masquerading as a country now.  The Trump regime cutting costs in many areas, increasing the already massive military budget. AI used to try and control the minds of its people and the people of other countries.

A hollowed out shell of a country and all that left is its massive military apparatus and the spooks. No manufacturing or tech though to back up that huge military apparatus.

India Boeing Dreamliner crash in Ahmedebad .
I can’t seem t get over the itch of why there is such a delay about that most advanced aircraft by Boeing!

I’m sure b will get around to it when the ‘final report’ comes out.

Another week another delay, there are some smoke and mirrors.

Indian Courts are having a say on blaming pilot error.
Boeing whistleblowers stories of build quality – an excuse being generated  – of the pilot error story doesn’t…erm Fly.

‘Keeping an open mind’
Mary Schiavo, an attorney and former inspector general at the US Department of Transportation, disagrees that the pilots have been deliberately put under the spotlight.
She thinks the preliminary report was flawed, but only because investigators were under intense pressure to provide information, with worldwide attention focused on them.
“I think they were just in a hurry, because this was a horrific accident and the whole world was watching. They were just in a hurry to push something out,” she says.

The Global Affairs editorial by Lukyanov omits that Putin has said outright that Atlanticism is dead, that it has no future. Otherwise, it’s a short read that doesn’t cover any new ground.

That same publication has provided two important long essays that have high merit and must be read if you want to understand Russia, russias-living-idea-dream.pdf, and turn-to-the-east-2.0-or-the-siberization-of-russia.pdf are each 45 pages long and are both related to my Does Russia have a Dream or is Planning Reality its Replacement? Thoughts on Russia’s Unity Day substack article. Pepe Escobar thought my The Continual War Against Russia & Its Primary Defense Mechanism–Ethnic Unity is a “must read” despite its length. It’s hard to keep analytical articles short nowadays particularly when they completely cite primary documents.

Two related events I didn’t report on but ought to be known about were related to Putin’s  trip to Samara where he addressed the plenary session of the forum “Russia –Country of Sports” and held a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports in Samara on the further development of children’s and youth sports. There are two other events related to his visit that are posted to the Kremlin’s website.
A development I’ll soon be reporting is the new KMT leader’s pro-unification stance with China that’s flown under the radar. Relatedly, the relations between China and South Korea continue to grow closer, while actions by Japan prove a treaty with Russia to finally end WW2 is far from being accomplished, Japan’s relationship with the Outlaw US Empire being the main barrier.

SCOTUS, representing the judicial branch of the federal gov’t,  is simply not going to the do the heavy lifting required of both the legislative branch (Congress) and the executive branch (presidential) to resolve an issue that falls under the domain of both those branches, not the judicial.

—-
Excuse me, but it is exactly the role of SCOTUS to adjudicate between the legislative and executive branch. The SNAP emergency funds were established by an act of Congress. This is not some inside the executive fight.

Legislation establishing SNAP emergency funding includes the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) from 2020, which provided temporary emergency allotments during the COVID-19 pandemic, and more recent legislation like the Keep SNAP Funded Act of 2025 designed to prevent benefit disruptions during government shutdowns. In 2021, the Extending Government Funding and Delivering Emergency Assistance Act also provided emergency assistance funds, and other specific emergency appropriations have been included in various bills, such as the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021.
– AI generated content

Furthermore, SCOTUS has already “done the heavy lifitng” of allowing Trump to micromanage funds that were allocated by the Congress (most especially to unversities he wants to toe his ideological line, to fire individuals under civil service protections out of spite.
All of those things are unprecedented, both in the literary and the legal sense.
You make me laugh that you think SCOTUS is “complying with the US Constitution”. It is shredding the US Constitution.

Keep in mind that 55 members of the senate have voted to reopen the gov’t, including 4 Dems—but they need 5 more Dems to get on-board in order to have the necessary votes for reopening.

What a sanitized version of reality. You make it sound like the Dems are just being obstinate. They are refusing to agree to $150 B for more ICE thuggery They are objecting to hundreds of billions of cuts to healthcare. They are objecting to further increases to the already obscene and corrupt military budget.
As you say, they are “in compliance with the US Constitution”.

@juliania #15
An interesting passage from the most classically educated of the Gospel writers. Those who know Greek will discover that word ‘legion’ is not a translation but the Latin word legio simply transliterated into Greek. So the name of the demon is the (foreign) name of the main unit of the occupying military. Typically this passage has been interpreted to mean that the man was possessed by  ‘a host of spirits’, but the marked use of the transliterated word points clearly to another interpretation. It is worth remembering that much of the polemic and rhetoric of the Gospels, Acts and the Apocalypse of John (especially) was anti-Roman, used by militant Jewish sects at first, then later by persecuted Christian communities. It is fairly certain, for example, that the famous mark of the beast (Rev. 13) in all likelihood referred to the widespread use of lead tokens or receipts for grain doles in the cities of Asia Minor during the reign of Domitian. Such tokens (libelli) were also used to prove one had offered sacrifice to the emperor, which Christians were known to refuse to do (during Decius’ reign for example, but perhaps as early as Trajan). One must always historicize whatever one reads…

And who handed down that ruling? Ketanji Brown Jackson, one of the so-called liberals.

—-
Thank you. I had not heard who made the ruling. I wrongly assumed it was another “shadow docket” anonymoust job.

I now read that she did it as a procedural move in order to speed up the ruling of the First Circuit so that the case can be brought before SCOTUS. That is too much inside baseball for the instant gratification internet. So it came out as she sold out SNAP.

Again, I jumped to conclusions. I was wrong about who and why; I stand by my statement that, with this SCOTUS, the Constitution is moribund.

RE:  SCOTUS is not shredding the U.S. Constitution

<<

Erm, the SCOTUS ruling issued by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is an administrative stay, which is what DJT had requested of SCOTUS, in order to give the Appeals Court time to weigh in on DJT’s motion for a stay, pending an appeal which the lower court has not had time yet to hear.

Staying within its lane, SCOTUS tends to judicial issues, not legislative or executives ones.

As you and others know,  Congress funds the SNAP program during its annual appropriations process.  SNAP was fully funded through 30 September 2025, which was the end of the fiscal year for 2025.

There has been no appropriation by Congress yet for the 2026 fiscal year (which started on 1 October 2025.)   Instead of tending to matters appropriately, all Dem senators but 4 opted to shut the gov’t down, thereby making an appropriation process impossible.  It’s not as if those Dem senators failed to understand what would happen.

RE:  the separate but coequal branches of gov’t

<<

It’s Sunday and I’m enjoying American tackle football on TV and I’m writing about the separate but coequal branches of the U.S. gov’t.

The separate but coequal branches of gov’t were designed to prevent the concentration of power in any one particular branch.

What we’re seeing right now is an especially robust judiciary branch and a sturdy/resilient executive branch—but the legislative branch (Congress) is notably weak in comparison to the other two.   Unless this gets corrected through a congressional turnover or some other constitutional mechanisms, the imbalance will persist.

Posted by: steel_porcupine | Nov 9 2025 19:30 utc | 59

@51 patroklos

So fascinating.

I remember one of Pope Francis’ most pressing concerns was making aware those on the margins and INCLUDING them.

He mentioned that, “They are legion.

Of course, the traditional branch of the Church was very adamantly opposed to the “liberal” Francis who they viewed as the culmination fruit of Vatican II. Such terrible vitriol for Francis that I could not stomach. The amount of Catholics that “prayed for him” in the sense that they viewed his soul corrupted by demons, was truly a great number.

Now, when it comes to the term “legion,” this quote from Francis was further proof to the Trads that Francis was cryptically doing the work of the dark principalities of the world in inviting the barbarians into the gates.

But I think there is an interesting play here in this word and I thank Francis for making that comment.

For myself, the last years of my Christian interest and thought have centered around mimetic theory of Rene Girard and then applying this to the thought of Kierkegaard and Heidegger. Specifically, I have been trying to reconcile the notion of Nationalism or state borders with Christianity.

Heidegger famously believed that Christianity was actually pervaded by nihilism, and Christians seem more or less unable to address this accusation and to defend against it. For Heidegger, who traced liberal humanist technicity as an outcrop of Christianity, the whole world must be brought under this banner until there is no marginalized emigrant or migrant to scapegoat.

But, of course, there are the powers and principalities that understand the scapegoating mechanism, as well, and will use these marginalized as a bulwark to stifle spirit. How would I describe spirit in this sense? I always seem to think of the Parthenon. Initially a barracks, and then, after Pericles, that which was in view of all Athens, for all Athenians, and, for the invader, as the last obstacle in conquering the city state.

But back to Heidegger and his accusation against Christianity that warrants deep thought and reflection. It is true that TPTB do use the appeal to “Better Angels” when it comes to soothing the anxious western mind who is being stripped of his memory. A line on a map is not just arbitrary but is sacred, I believe, because it delineates “place,” or if you wish, the blood and soil of Heidegger’s nationalism.

A lot to think about, but you are certainly right when you mentioned some time ago, that Heidegger can not be wished away by labeling him “fascist” and then something relegating him to some back corner of the amygdala.

At least 10 Senate Democrats are expected to support a procedural motion to advance a package of spending bills and a short term-funding measure through the end of January.

And the long-awaited text of the appropriations bills that lawmakers hope to include in the deal started to be released on Sunday afternoon.  The appropriations bill will include the new annual funding allotment for SNAP, for instance.

Children Forced into Prostitution in French Orphanages (EADaily, November 8, 2025 — in Russian)

A major scandal involving the child welfare system (ASE) is unfolding in France. Thousands of children removed from their families have been forced into prostitution.

A video showing 11-year-old Inès is widely circulating online. She was placed in an ASE shelter, where she was forced into prostitution from the moment she arrived.

The video tells about the girl being threatened, forcibly given drugs, and passed on to dozens of clients through underage pimps, while the caregivers claim they “can do nothing.”

This video depicts the situation at the Marseille orphanage where Inès is being held, but similar situations exist in other institutions across France. According to some estimates, approximately 15,000 children are trapped in prostitution and pedophile networks in French orphanages.

You know i think that was a bit of tough love.  Many of the European peasants fled to America and although their agricultural lifestyle had long gone, there was a sort of nostalgia for the simple thought and action of the fuedal peasant that had become idealized as “American culture”.  I think John was saying “snap out of it”.  And he’s right, consciousness must match ones reality as closely as possible.  The contradiction of false consciousness is unsustainable.  Nonetheless, lived experience will always win out.  Some wise guy once said, “man resembles his age more than he does his own father.”

The same amount of currency now only buys half the goods and food compared with 5 years ago. Our energy prices continue to rise steeply. Record numbers of rough-sleeping homeless people, much of this due to a combination of drug/mental health problems not being recognised or treated alongside astronomical rent levels for housing. Huge waiting lists for medical treatments, unless one is prepared to pay for private treatment, then one ends up at the back of the queue again, waiting for the NHS to sort out botched private procedures.
Hardly a week goes by without one of the major rail routes suffering 5 or 6 hour delays, in rural areas bus services are non-existent. I live near the fringe of a major city and post here via a copper-to-the premises “broadband” connection, the national network provider has no plans to install fibre in the next 5 years.
We are a declining nation, no threat to anyone, let alone Russia or China. Don’t be fooled by the bloviating gasbags masquerading as political leaders, we’ve got nothing left to threaten anyone with, our army isn’t even big enough to fill Wembley stadium.

From the Ukraine thread:

Do you think that illegal immigration is a factor in UK’s demise-if so how substantial?

Posted by: canuk | Nov 9 2025 20:20 utc | 72

In my view it has certainly been a factor since the ending of the Warsaw Treaty and the sudden opening of borders to all and sundry, but the decline and demise of English/British power can be traced back to the First World War.

As for the Channel “boat people”, it is a mystery to me what benefit or gain our “great and good” see in allowing the situation to continue to deteriorate.

Probably a minority view, but I see legal migration, at least as the West currently advocates for, as an extension of colonial exploitation – “we” need doctors, teachers, nurses and scientists, but rather than go to the time and expense of training “our” own, it is cheaper to rip off these human resources from their own nations, incidentally (or perhaps deliberately) stifling those nations development.

With illegal immigration we aren’t getting the doctors, teachers, nurses and scientists, we get rapists, pædophiles and general nutcases.

[Any resemblance of an character, real or imaginary, in this allegory is purely coincidental to any character, real or imaginary, in real (or imaginary) life.]

There is an old rustic bar in the middle of nowhere. It is the middle of the night, just approaching the witching hour. A splintery lamp pole sheds a small sickly yellow pool of light. A group of men are searching for their keys in this pool of light. They actually lost their keys around the corner, but there is no light there. It would be foolish to look for something in the dark. A couple of old stagers are leaning against the pole, for support rather than illumination. They offer gratuitous advice from time to time.

At the window, there is a small scruffy chap scrabbling for attention. He can’t get inside, because his ego is too large for him to fit through the door. He croaks unintelligibly from time to time “… wave-particle duality…. rare earth elements… ion thrusters…fuel (or was that fool?)…”

There is a large group inside, mainly aggregated in three clusters, with a few isolated individuals. Mr Noah F. Clue shouts sporadically “you have no f*&^&*% clue” – hence his name. Seated on the highest chair in the corner is a billy goat. His stench pervades the entire room. He is obviously uncomfortable, as his anatomy is not designed for perching on high stools. Maybe that is why he is always cranky. From time to time, he stamps his tiny foot on the bar and utters dictums in his signature basso-profundo voice. A diminutive voice pipes up “Perhaps it is so. Perhaps it is so.”

The three groups are clustered around a large fish tank in the middle of the room – one group at each end, and one at the side. There is an old table lamp at one end of the tank. The wise groups are arguing about what they see. From time to time they search the internet for reassurance. Often the information gathered is incorrect because  of spelling errors in the search terms – but that is a triviality. A group at one end of the tank can clearly see that the tank water appears to be bluey-green. They trust the evidence of their eyes. The group at the other end clearly sees that the tank water appears yellow-orange. They trust the evidence of their eyes. No members of either group take the trouble to go and have a look at what the other group sees. After all, why would they? The ‘other’ group are clearly idiots. Manifestly fools! They can’t even distinguish a primary color! [For the sake of brevity, the color that the third group sees is left as an exercise for the reader. Be the first to claim your prize. Guesses not allowed. Reasons must be given – pedantry rules!]

There is an old valve wireless on the bar. A reporter is interviewing the first astronaut in space. The reporter says ‘So beautiful to be talking to you up there in space, looking through the beautiful red sunset. Clearly, sound does travel through space, because I can hear you. I trust my ears”. The astronaut says the reporter must be smoking something powerful. He can clearly see that the sun is a blinding white, and hasn’t changed color.  The interview degenerates into a shouting match.

There are a few young birds strutting around the floor looking for crumbs – a mix of roosters and peacocks, along with some vulture-looking types that indiscriminately  shit around the place. One rooster, who has obviously had his feathers ruffled, yells “Look at the window – Grandpa has escaped the nursing home. Who is going to change his nappy? The billy goat stirs himself and stamps his little hoof “That’s not grandpa, that’s just some general idiot…” Another rooster seizes the morsel of wisdom. He has an olive stuck on his beak and some cheese to imitate a tooth (this rooster is a bit vain) which produces an unfortunate speech impediment “Ha, ha! good one… sirry iriot! … sirry iriot…

The general idiot scrabbles at the window, croaking “…Rayleigh scattering… as distinguished from Mie scattering…'” The billy goat, not actually listening, hears “…Mie…” and concludes “Ha, Mie’… ‘Mie’ .. good one! Now the general idiot is so full of himself that he has lost the plot and thinks the scattering is his.” [Mie – my, for all the roosters who may have missed the clever subtlety] “I’ll be the master of the scattering”, and he clumps off to feed the chooks.

In a parallel universe, not many light years away there is a similar bar. But in this multi-dimensional universe there are 26 groups discussing views of Mt Fuji. The same scenario plays out, but now there is a 26-dimensional argument.

One of the peacocks spreads his magnificent tail. When he has the attention of the entire room he utters “There is a solution. There is a definite answer. You just need to have enough money to pay someone to work it out – or at least enough money to pay someone to find someone to find someone who has worked it out, and then to work out how he has worked it out, so that you can work out what that answer actually is.

Simples!

With illegal immigration we aren’t getting the doctors, teachers, nurses and scientists, we get rapists, pædophiles and general nutcases.

They’re all just as bad. The import workers are nothing but malpractice on a countrywide scale.  They cause the same problems creating alternate societies within our borders.
We need to stop all immigration and deport all illegals and any visas except tourist visas. We should also investigate all naturalized citizens paperwork to see how many of them we can get rid of as well. We need to end granting citizenship to non citizen spouses and refuse visas. We need to refuse giving citizenship to children of noncitizens.
 Stop all of it.

Serfs today owe debt they cannot repay and barely make enough to get by daily.

They pay “taxes” to provide sinecures to bureaucrats who can’t fill potholes or operate competent schools.

Their children, when not being inducted into the Jewish woke or climate change ideologies, are slow poisoned with Franken food.

Bitch about the rich but the assault is cultural and full spectrum. Blaming the “rich” is a distraction, like Trump is a distraction. Placebos and pressure release valves.

If one cannot accurately identify a problem, they will not create a strategy to overcome it.

Yes, yes, but who’s in charge in the west if not the rich?  If they want to change things they do it don’t they?  No, in fact they want to see the majority of wage slaves suffer and, as they are the supreme power in a Capitalist society, the wage slaves do suffer, immensely.
The real question as always is what are we prepared to do about it.

Ahenobarbus and LoveDonbass:
Rare movie recommendation from me: Check out the new Yorgos Lanthimos flick “Bugonia” – I watched it last night and some of the themes you guys are discussing/arguing are prevalent if you peel back the surface layer. Quite an interesting film, really.

We. We are a very tiny minority. The vast majority in the west think this crap is the norm. I feel sad that so many Ukrainians became so brainwashed, especially in the period between 2014 and 2022, but people in the west are no different. They will likely have to suffer as the Ukroids now suffer.

And then watch the population collapse because nobody in this country can seem to do anything except the extremes? Case in point: vaccinations. While I can definitely see the issues with giving newborn babies a battery of vaccinations all at once – including for diseases they are incredibly unlikely to contract unless they become teens and engage in high risk behaviors – why is the other “side” completely anti-vax? Same for birth control and abortion. The truth of the matter is that the only thing sustaining our fake “free market” billionaire-oriented financialized capitalist system is the population of pissants like us (or immigrants) willing to do the (meaningless) work (especially when the government has ceded almost everything (meaningful) to private/financial class interests) – originally thru Republican legislative and activist judicial action and now by both parties?

To wit: If you’re talking about ending ALL immigration and deporting people already in our countries legally, then what’s the end game? The realistic end game and/or solution to the larger issues.

Just coming on here this afternoon, Tom, so not in reference to your post directly but I have been thinking of another excellent movie which is “The Bridge on the River Kwai”.    A  classic.

It was a MUCH longer term project than 2014-2022. The US/NATO and their financial puppet masters have been actively poisoning Ukrainian minds since before Cold War 1.0 ended.

Hell, I correct myself. The immigrants are doing most of the meaningful work! Doctors, nurses, field workers, construction, etc. The rest of us are lucky if we aren’t caught up in the PMC “business” of “managing” the $s, 1s and 0s.

I will rewatch that one!
