The Israeli prime minister is currently facing charges for three cases of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sought a presidential pardon for accusations of receiving expensive gifts or positive coverage in the media from wealthy figures in exchange for political favors.
While the investigation started in 2019, Netanyahu’s trial started in 2020. He has repeatedly delayed its proceedings.

Yesterday, 29 Nov., was International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
It was declared by the UN as an annual day of observance in 1977. [On that day in 1947, the Assembly adopted the resolution on the partition of Palestine.] Israel has complained about this day ever since, calling it “the day that the Arab world declared war on the Jewish state”.
Dig this editorial published in the Jerusalem Post on the day before the observance this year. [Warning: if you aren’t a rabid Zionist, you may experience a rise in blood pressure and sudden outbursts of cursing.] I am not posting the entire thing, because I just couldn’t bear to.

There were a few protests in the US – one in NY, one in Dallas, and a couple in California. The French protested, as did people in most major cities in Europe. Protests were also held in London, Geneva, Rome and Lisbon. It seems that the US is rapidly losing interest in the situation in Gaza, as there were no country-wide calls for protest here. We have the attention span of cocker spaniels in this country.

“The United Nations Committee against Torture (CAT) has condemned the Israeli regime for enforcing a policy of “organized torture” against Palestinians.
In a report published on Friday, CAT stated that the occupying regime enforces a deliberate policy of “organized and widespread torture and ill-treatment” against Palestinian abductees, particularly since October 7, 2023, when Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza.
The committee expressed “deep concern over repeated severe beatings, dog attacks, electrocution, water-boarding, use of prolonged stress positions [and] sexual violence” inflicted on Palestinians.
Palestinian prisoners were degraded by “being made to act like animals or being urinated on,” systematically denied medical care, and subjected to excessive restraints, “in some cases resulting in amputation,” the report added.
CAT also condemned the routine application of “unlawful combatants law” to justify the prolonged detention without trial of thousands of Palestinian men, women, and children.
More than 10,000 Palestinians, including women and children, are currently held in Israeli prisons, according to Palestinian and international human rights groups, with 3,474 Palestinians in “administrative detention,” meaning they are imprisoned without trial for indefinite periods.
The report highlighted the “high proportion of children who are currently detained without charge or on remand,” noting that while Israel sets the age of criminal responsibility at 12, even younger children have been abducted.
Children designated as security prisoners face severe restrictions on family contact, may be subjected to solitary confinement, and are denied access to education, in clear violation of international law.”

It seems to me each of us, all people’s, belong to a cult. An entrenched mindset of beliefs. One so imbedded any attempt to “wake one” up is met with hostility and ridicule.

Local sources confirmed that Israeli drones dropped a bomb close to the al-Farabi School, a school sheltering displaced families, killing the two children, Juma, 8, and Fadi Tamer Abu Assi, 11.
The attack was behind the so-called “yellow line”, a vague, invisible demarcation line separating the Israeli occupation forces from certain areas of Gaza, while maintaining control over approximately 50% of the enclave.
Sources added the two brothers were not even aware of the existence of the invisible line.
According to family members, they were gathering firewood for their injured wheelchair-bound father.
Their uncle told local media: “They are children…what did they do? They do not have missiles or bombs, they went to gather wood for their father so he can start a fire.”
However, in a statement on X, the Israeli military claimed the “two suspects carried out suspicious activities” and were “posing an immediate threat” and thus “eliminated”.
The killings sparked outrage on social media, where pro-Palestine users flooded the post with a photo of the two children, highlighting their ages to readers.
“Israel labeled them “terrorists,” as it routinely does to Palestinians simply trying to survive the genocide inflicted upon them by Israel,” one user wrote.
The attack comes despite the ceasefire agreement which took effect on October 10 and has been violated over 590 times by Israel. My opinion is that the Israelis have probably given up on attacking Iran for the moment. Why? The 12-day war ended up a catastrophe for Israel (which they will not of course admit). The Iranian tactic of massed drone and missile attacks, the Israelis did not have an answer to. The war had to be stopped immediately, which Trump obligingly did.
Do the Israelis have an answer even now? Not certain. Not certain that one exists. Patriot missiles, which cost a lot, are too expensive to fire off in numbers against cheap drones. I suppose they will build cheap defensive drones to defeat the mass attack, but not yet.
And it will also take time to rebuild the agent networks that were expended during the assassination campaign.
