@ tannenhouser  – words can get messy, can’t they? ideas, beliefs and much more – they are all very hard to pin down.. thus it behooves us and all to recognize our great desire to connect with others and to seek meaning in whatever way we can, but especially thru the special qualities we all have to do this… being guided by love is a beautiful calling..

Evidently the spoofs of the past Nima/Hudson/Wolff sessions are getting more views than the original but NOT YET changing the ideology of the words they manufacture……Big Brother manipulating the gullible masses and the public gets to pay extra for the electricity used to power the AI to fool them.

IMF calls for radical reform of the European welfare state

The enormous costs of rearmament, the consequences of the international trade war and the profit demands of banks and companies are incompatible with the welfare state, as it emerged in Europe after the Second World War. Pensions, healthcare and many other government services can no longer be financed in their current form. Rigorous austerity measures and further deregulation of the economy are inevitable.
These are the main conclusions of the International Monetary Fund’s report on the economic situation in Europe, which the IMF’s European director, Alfred Kammer, presented to a gathering of bankers in Brussels November 4. The report, titled “How can Europe Pay for Things it Cannot Afford?” paints a dramatic picture of the financial and economic situation.

Google/youtube is massively promoting the spoofs. Both the channels that are simply taking content of the originals but know the AI generated shit. Perhaps the rip off channels were used simply as a leadin to the AI generated stuff.

Deliberately designed as a trap for the unwary. Far more sophisticated than bellingcrap being promoted by the media as a couch potato investigator back in 2014.

This commentary on the Chinese economy and widespread deflation eliminating corporate profits (rent seeking).

Capitalism should mean persistent deflation. With competition and efficiency gains, everything should persistently become cheaper. That that hasn’t been happening is a sign.

Top China execs forecast more deflation and falling profits ahead. And that’s the plan.

First the Dutch steal the Chinese chip company Nexperia – then China stops sending chips to it – then the thieving Dutch decide to hand the company back into Chinese hands, now the Dutch are slinking off to China to grovel – has Europe as a whole have any credibility left I wonder.

There was more to Epstein, than meets the eye.

DD Geopolitics (@DD_Geopolitics): “🇺🇸🇮🇱 NEW — Epstein was effectively drafting foreign policy messaging for former Israeli PM/Defense Minister Ehud Barak The newly released Epstein files include multiple email exchanges between Jeffrey Epstein and former Israeli Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ehud Barak — and they paint a far more substantial relationship than previously acknowledged. Two examples stand out: 1. August 31, 2013 — Syria chemical weapons crisis Epstein advises Barak on how to frame the U.S. debate over the impending strike on Assad following the Ghouta chemical attack. He suggests Barak emphasize: “the gassing of women and children is an expression from the 20th century… women are no longer equivalent to children” Frame civilian casualties as “civilians vs. combatants only” Compare the Syria crisis with Egypt, Russia, and Iran Use the moment to shape U.S./international opinion This was during a pivotal moment when Obama was weighing military action. 2. October 30, 2014 — A full draft political speech – Epstein emails Barak what is essentially a complete speech, over 1,000 words, outlining: – Israel’s strategic posture post–Arab Spring – “Islamist Winter” framing – Israel’s need to “respond strongly to any threat to our security” – Iran, Assad, Hezbollah, Hamas – U.S.–Israel relations and Barak’s vision for regional order – Recommendations on how Israel should message the geopolitical environment This was shortly after the 2014 Gaza war, at a moment when Barak was actively shaping Israeli defense doctrine and public messaging. Why this matters Epstein was not just a financier or social acquaintance, the emails show: · He had direct input into the public messaging of a former Israeli head of state · He was writing language on war, terrorism, chemical weapons, Iran, Syria, Gaza, and Israel’s regional strategy · Barak appeared to solicit and engage with that input · This occurred years after Epstein’s 2008 conviction, raising questions about why a former PM maintained such a relationship Barak has long acknowledged knowing Epstein, but the depth of involvement, especially on national-security topics, has never been publicly documented at this level. This expands the significance of the Epstein network far beyond social circles or blackmail speculation: it shows Epstein interacting directly with senior political figures on matters of war, messaging, and international policy.” | nitter.poast.org

It wouldn’t surprise me one little bit if it were true.

“Wealthy “sniper tourists” allegedly paid upward of $90,000 to shoot people during “human safari” trips to Sarajevo in the 1990s — with an extra fee to kill children, according to wild claims being probed by Italian prosecutors.
The investigation was sparked after an Italian writer alleged he had uncovered evidence that wealthy gun enthusiasts — dubbed “sniper tourists” — would pay Bosnian Serb forces for the chance to gun down residents at random during the four-year siege of the city, the Guardian reported.
More than 10,000 were killed in Sarajevo by snipers and shelling between 1992 and 1996 during the Balkan Wars.

“There were Germans, French, English … people from all Western countries who paid large sums of money to be taken there to shoot civilians,” said Ezio Gavazzeni, the investigative writer.”

Yep. They are tryingb this scare tactic here in Australia, too.
ABC news had an article the other day trying to stoke fears of Chinese buses, citing Norway’s concerns about the same. It’s all such a load of crap. I’m ashamed of just how pathetic it all is.

I guess the Uighur scam has run out of steam, so they are desperately searching for something else to generate fear in the populace.

As an Australian, I’d sooner trust the Chinese than the USUKIS axis of evil anyday. The Chinese just don’t seem to have that inbred psychopathic desire to screw people over like the cabal does.

I had previously joked with my flatmate about self-driving Teslas being used to assassinate people who step too far out of line, by driving them into oncoming traffic or a tree…and I was only half joking, as I’m sure that is precisely how they (the cabal) think. The Chinese…not so much.

My brain keeps flashing back to the tidbit from the latest Nima/Hudson/Wolff [NHW} video session where Nima said that the AI versions of his show are getting more views than his originals.

I know that the internet in the West is privately owned and operated, do you?

What/who is the cui bono with spoofed NHW videos?  With the Nigeria guy we are seeing spoofs done projecting more anti-empire sentiment….will that help empire turn folks against him down the road?
If you are the axis pf resistance then why create spoof of truth?
I have not seen the NHW spoofs but expect they cost money to storyboard, cull words from inventory and produce damming/questionable content to denigrate NHW.  That they are able to get more eyeballs than the original speaks volumes to the power of media firehoses tuned by AI.

I once again feel like I am taking crazy pills.

The Epstein affair will amount to nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. No arrests. No come to Jesus. No awakening.

Yes, elites dabble in taboos. It is just part of being an elite. The chosen. The elect. “Ha! You say that I can’t have my way with a child! Have at you!”

The vulnerable will always be exploited by the depraved in a society. But you say you want Trump to go down? Just Trump? Will things change with a Trump arrest?

The Satanic-Panic of the 80s comes always to mind when talking about elite debauchery. “We are in the process of rooting it out!” Two weeks! Just two more weeks .

We are chasing our tails over all these things. Hell, maybe Trump will get arrested but would anyone doubt that this is just an optical illusion to give us the impression that justice occasionally can emerge and be victorious.

Try not to be sucked into the MSM-vortex. By all means, rail against military action in Venezuela under the guise of fighting narco-terrorism. By all means, work for universal healthcare. By all means, work for a fair immigration policy that curbs human trafficking, the availability of slave labor for the capitalists, and the suppression of domestic wage growth for the natives.

But you can count me out if you think one scandal is going to bring down the House of Cards. The foundation of that structure is actually steel beam and of the kind that thermite jet fuel can’t cut through.

I am watching the price of gold/silver fluctuate wildly against the US dollar and want to share another indicator I expect to see soon…….the unpegging of nations that have their currency tied to the US dollar

From Investopedia

At least 66 nations have tied their currencies to the U.S. dollar.

Aside from the dollar’s stability, some nations have additional reasons related to their economic strengths. For example, many Caribbean island nations including Aruba, Barbados, and Bermuda, rely on American tourists who are paying in dollars.

Notable countries with currencies pegged to the dollar include:

  • Belize dollar (BZ$): 2.00
  • Cuba convertible peso (CUC): 1.000
  • Hong Kong dollar (HKD): 7.76
  • Panama balboa (PAB): 1.000
  • Saudi Arabia riyal (SAR): 3.75
  • United Arab Emirates dirham (AED): 3.673

Is the Yuan Pegged to the Dollar?

The Chinese yuan was pegged to the U.S. dollar from 1997 to 2005 but since then has been pegged to a basket of international currencies, including the dollar.
China’s central bank maintains full control of the currency by setting a daily rate of parity against the greenback.
China changed its peg in 2005 after pressure from its major trading partners.

I expect to soon read of countries moving more to the China strategy if not totally unlinking from the US dollar.

Any solution should include a 3 day working week On the same pay as a 5 day working week. Increase accordingly.

Any solution should include a massive reduction in the retirement age. As it is NEVER an affordability issue as fully sovereign nation states create money via keystrokes. Pensions are always a PRODUCTIVITY story.

I would reduce the pension age to 55 and reintroduce final salary pensions. What humans always had before the ” sound money ” freaks lied, cheated and bullshitted with their affordability,  tax payer money crap propaganda and brainwashed a generation.

It’s a must the working week and the pension age are included in any solution. Or the Oligarchs will push through the stipend of – Universal basic income –  and then we will all be serfs of the rent seekers.

Apparently the Western gold future exchanges usually have delivery of .6% (less than one per cent) delivery of the product over the last two decades.

The last 6 months or so 20% of the buyers (accounts controlled by Chinese and Russia interests I would guess guess)are now asking for gold delivery.

So what you are witnessing a severe short squeeze with the Western banks are getting creamed-you don’t get this severe up/down action in a normal market

My thoughts:
i) do not promulgate on your favourite board – they are an insult to everyone’s intelligence
ii) report|spam|add note ‘AI slop’ – I hate being Karenish, but YT will at least take note, especially if more than one viewer reports
iii) we do not know who is making these. It could be some small time grifter hoping to pick up a few pennies in ad revenue, it could be some spook agency trying to put their words into the mouths of trusted, well known dissidents. Notice that most of the comments look like they are from bots and are far too adulatory, Also note that the two main targets of these fake seem to be John Mearsheimer and Jeffrey Sachs…hmmm.
iv) the original producers are having their work ripped off and their credibility undermined. It is our duty to help them by not indulging their AI fakes.
Those are my thoughts.
Posters here who link to them here immediately lose credibility with me.

You are an idiot. Still think we use fractional reserve banking and nobody will buy the bonds ? 50. Other things you got wrong and don’t understand.

So your ” guesses” are exactly that Canuck. Wetting your finger and sticking it in the air. No better than tarot card reading full of ideological bullshit.

Read and learn ……….

The spot and forward price for a non perishable commodity imply all storage costs, including interest expense. Therefore, with a permanent zero-rate policy, and assuming no other storage costs, the spot price of a commodity and its price for delivery any time in the future is the same.

However, if rates were, say, 10%, the price of those commodities for delivery in the future would be 10% (annualized) higher. That is, a 10% rate implies a 10% continuous increase in prices, which is the textbook definition of inflation!

It is the term structure of risk free rates itself that mirrors a term structure of prices which feeds into both the costs of production as well as the ability to pre-sell at higher prices, thereby establishing, by definition, inflation.

So tell me Canuck what happens when rates go from 10% to 8% to 6% to 4% to 2% ? Every time the central bank keeps cutting interest rates ?

What happens to spot and forward prices, storage costs and interest rate expenses ?

Lick your finger put it in the air and take a guess. Or pull up a chair to the front row and watch with your own eyes what happens if they keep cutting interest rates.

The irony to me is that this bar seems to be intent on identifying and solving the world’s problems. Always ‘other places’ and other ‘people’, isn’t it?

Perhaps the first step to the answer is to look closely at who is sitting in the seat where my own arse is. Then when (if?) that is sorted, have a glance at the person on the adjacent stool. Perhaps even swap places and see how the view changes. If life extends long enough, maybe repeat the process throughout the bar.

The nutty challenge would be how to dislodge that chap who has been on the same stool for so long that Homer Simpson’s “comfort crack” is deeply embedded into the walnut stool…

Thanks for your willingness to play along with me, Tannenhouser.  [Incidentally that is one of my favorite operas – haven’t heard it for a while.]

My main push on the religion theme is that most people assume Christianity is just western style believing, when really it is not.  Eastern is older and a bit closer to oriental philosophy,  plus being about beauty.   There were a lot of desert dwellers whose thoughts were not of a logical bent but come together in a series of musings called ‘The Philokalia’.   Western Christianity is to me Aristotelian; Eastern is Platonic. And the eastern fathers often disagreed, without being thought heretical or burned at the stake — though there was a little of that crept in until a few centuries of disagreements sorted things out.

But these are simply the freedoms I find in how thought is allowed to proceed when there isn’t a pope making the rules.  It’s similar to looking at language:- compare Latin to Greek for instance.  I had four years studying latin ‘thought’ before in college I had two of classical greek.  A difference between night and day!  Christianity came after that for me as simply a beautiful way to think of the world and the universe and how it got made.  In Greek it’s so much more an internal process, musical even.  If you take the Greek text of Genesis there’s a multitude of wordmatchings – God doesnt just create – he ‘in arche’  ‘poems’ the heavens and the earth into being.  And Eve is ‘homebuilt’ from Adam.

It’s all poetry and beautiful at that.  There’s always mystery involved,  has to be.  I used to say, think of Scripture as just the finest form of literature, taking that to the highest level the mind can go.  That’s Scripture.

Dunno, General. I’m afraid there will always be nutcases. Being somewhat nutty but not too much is also not per se unacceptable – well, I guess it just happens (or has happened, lol) – as the afflicted can still be part of the community, and add their thing there as well. This is completely unrelated to an individual’s general intelligence, as prove the cases of Hitler, William Gruff, and Sister Maria with a case of Down Syndrome. So the problem varies not just in magnitude. It is about a quality – the ability of a community to come to terms with themselves, their neighbours, and their lifeworlds. There is no immanent general solution for the situation of man [dubbed Geworfenheit (thrownness) by Heidegger, who is at least a good poet]. One can accept this in many different ways, one of which is to reflect upon transcendence; a question which by necessity leads to the term God. Should one make an organized religion from that, is another question almost entirely.

Various approaches have been tried. Rigid ideologies are not ultimately only about power, as they often reflect a need for those who find themselves exposed to them. It can be an external threat, or it can be a disturbed individual, and sometimes both (as one might argue for instance in Stalin’s example).  What we I call evil is already present in nature; unless you are willing to ascribe the next huge asteroid strike on Terra to an explicitly willful act by God.

We have to deal with it somehow.

Heat has colour. The most heat is at the point of combustion. Aka exothermic reaction. Perhaps that is wrong. A kerosene flame, especial seen in jet fuel often burn blue.

But in general heat manifests in various electro magnetic frequencies we see as colours. At 600C in the shade, we see that as a dull red Around the 850, we see that as orange. At around 1500 a white yellow and dark glasses required. Look into an oil furnace running stychometric – I’ve probably spelled that world wrong – but yandex and google spell checkers are full of shit.

Sump oil running at a balanced oil air mix can give off nasty electromagnetic waves. Made one for my mate, a little furnace to kiln dry firewood. Set it up with little cap that could be taken off to see how it was burning. Running a balanced mix and it was a very bright sort of white tinted with yellow. Would have been far better just to use that to heat his house, but his good wife believed burning sump oil was bad, unless it was simply used to dry the wood to heat the house.

There is no comparison between the BTU’s in old sump oil and the few BTU’s in firewood. The inanity of the woke world. There was most likely more BTU’s expended in drying the wood with old oil than what the wood produced.

Western Christianity is to me Aristotelian; Eastern is Platonic.

I will agree. However, as I shall again repeat (over and over), the western reading of Aristotle is corrupt. He did not actually invent anything such as the metaphysics of substance. He did not even mention any unmoved mover. Since he’s dead now, we can’t chat about it with him over a game of Billard in our venue of choice; but the next best thing would be to read this book (a re-translation with commentary and introduction) by Erwin Sonderegger.

Abstract
The present text is the revised and corrected English translation of the book published in German by the Lang Verlag, Bern 2008. Unfortunately the text still has some minor flaws (especially in the Index Locorum) but they do not concern the main thesis or the arguments. It will still be the final version, especially considering my age. It is among the most widespread and the least questioned convictions that in Metaphysics Lambda Aristotle presents a theology which has its basis in a metaphysics of substance. Doubts about theological interpretation are beginning to stir in a growing number of publications, but nevertheless the majority of research literature, compendiums and histories of philosophy argues within this frame. A closer look at the facts reveals that this conviction has no basis in the text. Quite the contrary it is based on a reception with theological interests. It arised over centuries, starting from Patristic times and the Middle Ages; it was influenced by Neoplatonic texts as the Liber de Causis or the Theologia Aristotelis, texts for a long time considered as original Aristotelian books. And, if you read not translations but the Greek text, you see that the word ‘god’ occurs much less than in a theological book should be. In some translations we find more occurences of that word, and especially in French, Italian, English translations some words as le Bien, l’Intelligence etc. are written with capitals to inticate that it is about god. To make it even more clear, we read often the term ‘First Mover’ or ‘Unmoved Mover’ as an other name for god, but this expression is never used by Aristotle. So the reader has the impression that Aristotle speaks continuously about god. In addition, in the present book you will find arguments which clean up with the outdated concept of substance in the Aristotelian text, a concept which was developed for quite other problems than Aristotle had, namely theolgical ones. And, if there is no substance, there is no corresponding metaphysics of substance and no theology or onto-theology. If substance, metyphysics, theology play no role in Metaphysics Lambda, what else is its content and aim? That is not so difficult to say because Aristotle says it sufficiently clear in his first sentence, περὶ οὐσίας ἡ θεωρία: our inquiry is about being; its aim is to develop the Frage nach dem Sein and to state a speculative answer: being is noesis, Sein ist Gewahren.

REAL DATA:

Watch and learn ……..

The FED told the market they were going to start cutting interest rates. The zombies who struggle to tell the difference between their ass and their elbows who are brainwashed by gold standard fixed exchange rate type talking heads on their TV’s thought it would be bullish for gold and  who have most things backwards.

The zombies pushed gold to around 4350. Reality kicked in and the true effect of rate cuts brought gold down to around 3900.

The Chairman then came out and said no more rate cuts for now. Other members of the committee came out recently and poured more cold water on future rate cuts.

Gold bounced back up to around 4150 on those comments. That’s where we are. It’s not rocket science as explained further up the thread. How rates effect spot and forward and storage costs etc, etc.

The FED lowered the rate to their target range of 3.75%–4.00%. So a yield of 4.12% is too high. If you want to make some money short it. As the 10 year yield will fall to within the target range. As the FED sets the rate and targets the range via operational procedures.

It’s just the zombies playing silly buggers as they have completely no idea of the operational procedures. Think there are bond vigilantes in the US the same way there are in the Eurozone. Learned absolutely nothing when they lost their shirts betting against the Japanese central bank and their now infamous widow maker trade.

If the 10 year yield falls way below 3.75%

Then buy it as it will be too low.

The FED will keep bringing back to within their range of 3.75 – 4% via operational procedures. Regardless what the zombies do.

We have watched this movie play out a dozen times and more over the last few years. At first when they the FED was raising rates to today while they are cutting rates.

It’s not rocket science, regardless what the brainwashed fools say. Who used to point at the 10 year yield 3 times a week at the bar predicting Armageddon. While spouting complete brainwashed nonsense while reading their tea leaves or tarot cards. Or even worse actually listening to the gold standard, fixed exchange rate type talking heads on TV who have brainwashed them for decades. Until today they can no longer think for themselves.

If the 10 year yield goes way above the FED range short the yield. If it goes way below the FED range buy the yield. Pick pocket the ” sound money ” zombies. It’s easy to pick these fools pockets. They are the most stupid set of people in our society.

Oh and don’t get me going on wood BTU. In the UK they built a large coal-fired power station, Drax, and right next door Selby Colliery a super-pit. Very deep but bi fat seams of quality coal to fire the thing. Worked really well until Ed Milliband, then and now Minister for Green Shit decided to convert it from coal burning to wood burning. Closed the pit and sacked the miners.
Decided to source the wood from US and Canada. so the wood is felled there, kiln dried, pelleted then trucked and trained to the east coast. Placed on a ship across the Atlantic to Liverpool, loaded back onto trains to go cross country to Drax, where they set it on fire. Three trains a week (as opposed to continuous coal from next door) and we’re expected to believe this is better because it is ‘carbon neutral’ – which it clearly is not.
The twat is still in post, still doing damage.

“First Nation Peoples & communities are at a crossroads, Canada has coopted and compromised AFN, regional Chiefs’ orgs and Band Council/Band Office system to turn Bands/Reserves into municipalities – real sovereignty, self-determination and land back takes people power and decision making.”

Aboriginal Rights, The Rule of Law and Justice: Each Forsaken

https://dissidentvoice.org/author/bruceclark/

“The first principle of the rule of law in a constitutional democracy is Constitutional supremacy: When in conflict with federal or provincial legislation, constitutional legislation is paramount and the other legislation is void.

Most determinatively section 109 Constitution Act, 1867, enacts that provincial Crown land remains subject to the Indian interest in such land as remains unceded by the Indians to the Crown, by nation-to-nation treaty…”

GHC Statement: Ksi Lisims on Major Projects List

https://www.gitanyowchiefs.com/news/ghc-statement-ksi-lisims-on-major-projects-list/

“Today’s announcement by Prime Minister Carney to include a KSI Lisims liquefied natural gas on the major projects list is part of a growing and alarming trend seen in Bill C-5 and BC’s Bill 15 to forfeit Indigenous consent and environmental accountability under the guise of reshaping Canada’s economy…”

@226 psychohistorian

I’m not sure what to do about all the AI slop on youtube.  I noticed all the AI ripoffs a while back, and am still trying to come up with alternate ways to get information.  This will make it harder for new people to break into the business as they will initially be shunned due to fears they are AI.

Thanks for your response, persiflo.  I am willing to grant you your point about the unmoved mover – it was not on that subject that I distinguish between eastern and western theology.  Rather Aristotle has more emphasis on logical rationality as a basis for his philosophy, and to my mind he has misrepresented Plato’s thought.

My feeling about him as also the tutor of Alexander the Great puts him in a different category than that of Plato, who himself wasn’t as practical an advisor of  world leaders — or better, didn’t have the ‘success’  that Aristotle had.  They are very different basically speaking in their attitudes toward such leadership. Plato’s achievement was his Academy – he wasn’t telling students what to think but rather encouraging them to think.

China is very steamed at Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi very impolitic remarks and refusal to retract them. IMO, Ms. Takaichi is stroking Trump and going against Japan’s interests.

stychometric – I’ve probably spelled that world wrong – but yandex and google spell checkers are full of shit.

********

So is General Factotum, or so I hear. 🙂 Your ideas – and the word, are absolutely correct. The spelling you were looking for is stoichiometric… I’ll try to come back to this tonight – my sweet wife has me on a tight leash – the painting must be finished, and I can only grab a few minutes here when she goes shopping. I used to complain about that, but now I look forward to it – mixed blessings??

What we I call evil is already present in nature; unless you are willing to ascribe the next huge asteroid strike on Terra to an explicitly willful act by God.  We have to deal with it somehow.

That seems a limited set of parameters, persiflo – – but it does remind me of  the John the Evangelist extract that is the epigraph in Dostoievski’s TBK.

There is indeed death and corruption in nature but I would hesitate to call it evil.  Rather,  the mystery is beyond such a designation as is my necessarily limited understanding of God’s works his wonders to perform.  Even Job couldn’t answer that one.

They are called “trough lollies” here in Australia. There was even a band by that name back in the day.

I also remember them being called “urinal candies” in the old PC game Leisuresuit Larry…obviously a US thing.

Thanks for your reply. Helmer takes so long to say what he wants then repeats it several times, all of which is very annoying. My answer to his speculation is the Outlaw US Empire will continue to prick at the Arc of Instability as long as it can do so and get results. And its Terrorist Foreign Legion proxy is clearly being used globally since the Empire has no power to confront most nations directly. Was this to be a prelude to an attack while Putin visits in December? Why not?

@ Peter AU1 about Shakespeare

Issac Asimov wrote a tome about Shakespeare’s plays in which he describes each play’s historic and mythological background…and what all the jokes are about
I have the book and it is a must read before seeing the plays so you know what is going on.
