High Noon In Kiev

The ‘new’ Trump plan to end the war in Ukraine, mentioned here yesterday, is unlikely to come to fruition.

Russia has said that it does not have any official knowledge of the plan or its content. But there are several reasons for it to reject it.

The Telegraph claims that the plan does not acknowledge that the Donbas and Luhansk are part of Russia but only allows for Russia to ‘lease’ the territory:

The Trump administration deal would see Kyiv cede control of the eastern Donbas region, but maintain legal ownership. Russia would pay an undisclosed rental fee for de facto control of the region, officials familiar with the deal told The Telegraph.

There is also the role of NATO which the Trump administration’s plan does not mention:

As European and U.S. officials alike sought clarity, they said many aspects of the plan remained in flux, including the role of NATO and any Ukrainian territorial concessions to Russia.

One aspect U.S. officials are still pondering is whether and how to mention NATO, the person said. The discussion of NATO has not been previously reported.

Ukraine has sought NATO membership as a security guarantee against a future Russian invasion. While some European countries support that, the U.S. has rejected it and Moscow has long demanded Kyiv not join the defensive alliance, viewing that as a threat. The European allies also worry about granting Russia territorial concessions, which they see as rewarding Moscow’s aggression and setting a concerning precedent.

Those European allies who reject the peace plan and are concerned about precedent should look up ‘Kosovo’ and how that came into being.

The prospect of NATO membership of Ukraine was one of the main reasons for starting the war. Russia will not allow NATO, or any other military ‘security guarantee’ for Ukraine, along its western borders. Ukraine’s explicit rejection of entering NATO will have to be part of any acceptable peace agreement.

Ukraine’s acting President is not willing to agree to the plan. He now sees the recent revealing of the corruption scandal involving his friend Mindich as part of an operation to press him to fire his chief of office Andrei Yermak and to accept Trump’s peace plan. He will argue that Russia is pulling the strings on each of these issues:

Zelenskyy decided not to fire Yermak, but to launch counterattack against NABU & everyone involved in investigation of Mindich case, accuse them of working for Russia to force Zelensky to accept Trump’s peace plan. This is stated by Ukrainian MP Zhelezhyak on Telegram:

“The president has decided not to fire Yermak. He will be retained and a counterattack will be launched against everyone involved in ‘MindichGate.’ Now they’ll announce this and will begin a new attack with a ‘Russian connection.’ First, it’ll be media coverage—something like yesterday, when the Office’s ‘garbage dumps’ started spreading something about a ‘Whitkoff plan’ and that the special operation ‘Midas’ is a coercion. And then we expect a powerful counterattack against everyone involved in the investigation in any way.”

Zelenski’s first target is the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Rada, David Arahamia. He was involved in the last few days in calls to dismiss Yermak (edited machine translation):

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will initiate the dismissal of the head of the Servant of the People faction David Arahamia at today’s meeting with deputies.

This was announced in his Telegram channel by ex-MP Ihor Mosiychuk, citing sources.

He said that the president will put pressure on deputies with the help of compromising materials, and the peace plan of US President Donald Trump is used in the information field to cover up the rescue of the president’s entourage from responsibility.

It should be recalled that part of the “Servants of the People” called for the creation of a new coalition and government. Arakhamia, although he stated that this is “a statement of individual people’s deputies”, however, according to Strana, he supports the demand for Yermak’s resignation, which is shared by many other deputies from the SotP.

Meanwhile, according to MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, Arakhamia set a condition for Zelensky: to dismiss Yermak, so that the Rada would continue its work and retain the SotP-majority. Arakhamia’s demand was supported by Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fyodorov and head of the Military Intelligence Kirill Budanov.

Zelensky, according to Goncharenko, refused.

“A key minister, a key military officer and a key person in the Parliament opposed Andriy Yermak and put pressure on Volodymyr Zelensky to dismiss him. If Zelensky refuses – he will lose the Rada. He will not be able to pass the budget. There will be no coalition,” Goncharenko writes.

The problems for Zelenski are only increasing.

Any strike against the anti-corruption vertical (NABU, the Midas corruption investigation, Pravda.ua media) may cause a harsh backlash from Europe. A strike against Arahamia may cost him the majority in parliament. Any rejection of Trump’s plan may lead to stop of U.S. intelligence that is needed to strike at Russia.

For Zelenski to continue to fight for Yermak, who everyone wants to go, may well cost him his presidency.

Russia will take and rebuild to the east of the Dnieper in River. It will rebuild the port of Maroiuol. There you are. No Odessa. Too close to Romania. Just a self enclosed new Russia with plenty of resources and plenty of industrial opportunity.
Does anyone doubt that the Russian military can’t make this final objective?
Does anybody think Russia is just waiting for the right peace plan?
Everyday the connection across the Dnieper gets broken. Trains , bridges,  electricity, pipelines.
A small change to a bigger new world order.
NATO can’t stop what Russia is doing. There will be no negotiated peace as Trump wants. No you can have a lease for 20 years. Just Russia builds a new eastern Ukraine and bombs the rest into submission.

I’m a bit the same way.  The Americans have been at it for six months or more now so they are genuine about getting a peace deal. US cannot put the screws to Russia, but with the corruption investigation which is still holding a lot back, the screws can be tightened on Zelensky.

So called plans are quite meaningless at this point no matter what version as this is simply a memorandum of understanding at the moment.
Zelensky first has to negotiate with the Americans and I think they are going to twist the corruption thumbscrews down tight to get him to agree to something Russia will agree to.

India’s Reliance To Stop Processing Russian Oil At Giant Jamnagar Refinery
https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/indias-reliance-stop-processing-russian-oil-giant-jamnagar-refinery
How boring it is always to be right.
For days now, you’ve been mocking me because I point out that India (once a colony, always a colony)
has bowed to the will of its masters, and every time, confirmation comes immediately after…
Another piece of news that confirms
what I’ve been saying for some time now, and reinforces my idea
that that pathetic little BRICS thing is now rubbish.
Who talks about it anymore?
They’re becoming a footnote in the history books.

  3. It is expected that Russia will not invade neighbouring countries and that NATO will not expand further.

  9. European fighter aircraft will be stationed in Poland.
  10. U.S. Guarantees:

The United States will receive compensation for the guarantee.
If Ukraine invades Russia, it will lose the guarantee.
If Russia invades Ukraine, in addition to a decisive coordinated military response, all global sanctions will be reinstated, recognition of new territories and all other benefits of this deal will be revoked.
If Ukraine without cause launches a missile at Moscow or Saint Petersburg, the security guarantee will be considered invalid.

  1. Ukraine retains the right to EU membership and will receive short-term preferential access to the European market while the issue is under consideration.
  2. A powerful global package of measures for the reconstruction of Ukraine, including but not limited to:
  3. Creation of a Ukraine Development Fund to invest in high-growth sectors, including technology, data-processing centres, and artificial intelligence.
  4. The United States will cooperate with Ukraine on the joint reconstruction, development, modernisation, and operation of Ukraine’s gas infrastructure, including pipelines and storage facilities.

  12. Russia will be invited to return to the G8.
  13. Frozen assets will be used in the following way:

US$100 billion of frozen Russian assets will be invested in U.S.-led reconstruction and investment efforts in Ukraine. The United States will receive 50% of the profits from this undertaking. Europe will add another US$100 billion to increase the total investment available for Ukraine’s reconstruction. Frozen European assets will be unfrozen. The remaining frozen Russian assets will be invested in a separate American-Russian investment vehicle that will implement joint American-Russian projects in areas to be determined. This fund will be aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and increasing shared interests in order to create strong motivation not to return to conflict.

  1. A joint American-Russian working group on security issues will be established to facilitate and ensure the fulfilment of all provisions of this agreement.
  2. Russia will legislatively enshrine a policy of non-aggression toward Europe and Ukraine.

  10. Territories:
  11. Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk will be recognised de facto as Russian, including by the United States.
  12. Kherson and Zaporizhzhia will be frozen along the line of contact, which will mean de facto recognition along the line of contact.
  13. Russia renounces other annexed territories that it controls outside the five regions.
  14. Ukrainian forces will withdraw from the part of Donetsk oblast they currently control; this withdrawal zone will be regarded as a neutral demilitarised buffer zone, internationally recognised as territory belonging to the Russian Federation. Russian forces will not enter this demilitarised zone.
  15. After future territorial arrangements are agreed, both the Russian Federation and Ukraine undertake not to change these arrangements by force. Any security guarantees will not apply in the event of violation of this commitment.
  16. Russia will not obstruct Ukraine’s commercial use of the Dnipro River, and agreements will be reached on the free transportation of grain across the Black Sea.
  17. A humanitarian committee will be created to resolve outstanding issues:
  18. All remaining prisoners and bodies will be exchanged on the “all-for-all” principle.
  19. All civilian detainees and hostages will be returned, including children.

Assuming that’s the genuine draft proposal, It up to Russia what is acceptable or not.

This though-
Its implementation will be monitored and guaranteed by a Peace Council headed by President Trump.
The agreement is for a ten year term. Unless he intends to extend American presidential terms, he will only be President of the US for another three years. After that he will have zero power over anything. The other thing is his age. He could keel over any day but there is nothing on who would take over if he became incapacitated.

This is a bit long but worth reading.
@ArmchairWThere is a particularly monstrous Catch-22 that has created an information space where all credentialed Western leaders (political, thought and otherwise) are incentivized to call for endless escalation in Ukraine.

The key? Serious discussion of Ukrainian losses is forbidden.⬇️

This has been the case since the first day of the war and remains the case today. Nobody – ABSOLUTELY NOBODY – in the West with institutional credentials can discuss Ukrainian losses. The few who are willing to lack the reliable information to do so credibly because investigation of the subject has been so thoroughly outlawed, even at the level of classified assessments (as the Teixeira leaks demonstrated), that the ONLY source of information on Ukrainian losses is the Russian information sphere. And information coming out of that space, no matter how reliable or coherent, is instantly and automatically dismissed as propaganda in Western elite circles. The reverse is true for Russian losses – where Ukrainian (and Ukrainian-adjacent brOSINT) claims now verging into surreal absurdism must still be taken seriously in policy circles.

This creates a brutal intellectual Catch-22. Because Ukrainian casualties are officially unknown but assumed to be trivial in comparison to Russian ones (where comically large figures are routinely bandied about), it is impossible for members of our policy elite to articulate an argument against further involvement in Ukraine on the kind of humanitarian and cost-benefit bases that could actually convince people who aren’t emotionally invested. And it is very easy for members of that policy elite who want to argue for continued involvement and support to make a case for it – after all, look at how easily the brave Ukrainians are slaughtering the Russian horde! All they need is more ammunition to mow them down!

You can immediately see how this leads to elite opinion in the US and Europe favoring endless escalation so long as Ukrainian losses can be papered over with even a fig leaf of credibility. This is still possible at this point because the Russians are still, inadvertently or not, playing into their hands by focusing on inflicting massive (and massively disproportionate) casualties on the AFU over seizing the large swathes of land that would blow up this illusion. Credentialed Western commentators can still point at the map, zoom it out far enough, and claim the Russians are losing because they’re not winning fast enough – and according to all the credible sources, they’re getting absolutely slaughtered doing it so clearly they won’t be able to keep it up for long.

This is pure Davos Regime, by the way – control the opinion-making mechanisms in media and academia, set the boundaries of acceptable political discourse, and you control the world no matter who is in office because every single electable politician (and much of the electorate!) exists inside of an intellectual cage you’ve crafted.

The West has three options in the Ukraines:
(1) Fatman’s MoU which depends on 1st the Jewish comedian sticking his neck out for it and 2nd the Russians accepting a ceasefire (unlikely),
(2)  Do the same, hope for the best, and wait for the Ukrainian state to collapse (likely), and
(3) Replacement of the Jewish gang in power in Kiev by a banderite gang to hopefully invigorate ukrop devotion to the West and continue facing the Russian woodchipper (more likely).

Yes, if Trump had simply withdrawn the United States from the war with Russia, it could have been called a betrayal of Ukraine and a rejection of American influence in Europe. However, Trump is trying to maintain Western control over the remaining, large part of Ukraine. And this is not a betrayal, this is a victory. Yes, this is Russia’s victory too. If all the points of this plan are fulfilled. But I wouldn’t give more than one percent chance of this plan being implemented. ‘

The Frenchiepoodles miltary head joshes the French mayors with ‘let’s sacrifice French kids in a new grande armee- it’s our turn again’ :

‘French Chief of the General Staff, General Fabien Mandon, called on the French to be prepared to “lose their children,” allegedly to deter Russia. His words were quoted by TF1.

This statement sparked a flurry of criticism from politicians, TF1 notes.

This general had previously stated that the French army should be prepared for a clash with Russia in 3-4 years.’

The French have been known to vote with their feet and dirty protests . They even chopped the heads off some of those old bastards.

This is the dumbest idea by the idiot elites.

There is going to be no agreement with shelensky signing anything – even if he agrees – he is illegitimate and VVP in uniform said it clearly.

‘Vladimir Putin’s statements about a “criminal group leading Ukraine and pots of gold beneath them” are clearly just another reiteration of his previously stated position that Zelenskyy is not a legitimate signatory to the Kremlin’s documents.

After the Alaska meeting yielded no results, Sergey Lavrov expressed a similar position. Sensing objective power on the battlefield and the Russian Armed Forces’ complete control of the initiative, the Russian leadership sees no need to sign anything right now, so for the time being, they can continue to play the game of demanding a more legitimate signatory from Ukraine.’

‘Pots of gold underneath them’ is an obvious pisstake about the golden toilets that the grifters have in their new built mansions.

⚡️Finally, the situation is shaping up to bring about the peace Ukrainians have long awaited, stated US Chargé d’Affaires Julie S. Davis.

“We had extremely constructive talks with the Ukrainian leadership today – everyone shares President Trump’s vision for ending this war,” the diplomat said following the meeting between Zelenskyy and Driscoll.

⚡️The White House called the understanding of the Ukrainian settlement agreements as unilateral territorial concessions incorrect.

“Before everyone else.”

This is true: Russia is making the main concession in this agreement – allowing Ukraine to exist as a state. The US understands this; Trump has spoken about it previously.

https://t.me/vicktop55/38003

Sounds right – if it’s Russias first offer – the Wastes old bastards should take it!

Because as everyone with the understanding of the long history knows, it’s always the best offer. Every following one will be worse. Until the worst, such as Cossacks arriving in Paris (and Berlin), when French (and Germans) learned how to become better.

Us Brits only managed to get balaclava head wear for our troubles in the Crimea and a glorious suicidal charge into the Russian canons. Montgomery knew ‘Don’t go to war against Russia’ – our goldfish brained overlords have forgotten- again

Loons like the Ziolords are demanding another such devastating sacrificial disaster from the jaws of honourable defeat!

Napoleon must be chuckling in his grave ‘plus ca change…’

… that’ll do for now I’m back to the last half hour play from Perth (Aus) where the Oz and Brit commentary on the radio is the place to understand the lost in translation english language in a unprecedented first days Ashes. Gonna be fun month and half.

In my opinion, the US would view an end of India – Russia oil trade as a major victory.

It would immediately see increased revenues from its own oil trade. It would also see more trade in dollars and less in non-dollar currencies. And, as full spectrum attrition of Eurasia is concerned, it would incur a loss of revenue for two major players of that continent.

This story has potential to shine some light on an otherwise completely absent topic from the main narrative. However, as expected, the noise from the opposition is more concerned with criticizing the government than discussing the topic itself: the massive cost of a wider war with Russia.

That cost covers military lives as well as equipment, obviously. Are we prepared to lose a few planes? A frigate or two? A destroyer? But what about losing power for several hours a day as the power grid is targeted? What happens when then the price of fuel triples? As we have witnessed repeatedly, all vital or expensive infrastructure is fair game in modern warfare. And finally, who’s willing to trade cities with Russia?

These are questions everybody should be asking.

“Remember, the more damage inflicted on Ukraine, the more expensive a failed state the West can inherit.”
The West isn’t worried about a failed state on Russia’s doorstep. They have no need or interest in rebuilding it. Their interest is the opposite. The CIA can use a Somalia-on-the-Dneiper as a base for all kinds of monkeywrenching inside Russia, while if Russia doesn’t secure the littoral the rump Ukraine will become even more of a sluice for every kind of criminal trafficking from “the jungle” into “the garden”.
These are reasons Russia, if it is to attain any kind of acceptable conclusion to the theater war, needs to steel itself to the fact that it will have no choice but to liberate all the traditional Russian lands and impose a firm control on the rest, unless Poland can be induced to break ranks with Europe and take Galicia.

It seems like Zelensky isn’t legitimate enough to sign any agreement but can block any agreement.   OTOH, the Rada might be able to sign off on it – but Zelensky’s party needs to rebel and get it done.  Good Luck with all that.  As for extortion, how about this?  Zelensky’s foreign holdings get frozen or seized as corrupt by external nations.  Even then, I don’t think he leaves office.  Maybe he can take his own counsel to surrounded Ukrainian troops and fight until dead.  They could also threaten his wife – who must want out of this nightmare.

@225 Peter AU1

I know – I am not supposed to repost such long posts.

@ArmchairWThere is a particularly monstrous Catch-22 that has created an information space where all credentialed Western leaders (political, thought and otherwise) are incentivized to call for endless escalation in Ukraine. The key? Serious discussion of Ukrainian losses is forbidden.⬇️ This has been the case since the first day of the war and remains the case today.

And this is why the US will continue to make bad decisions moving forward.  When all you have is bad inputs, the odds of getting good outputs is substantially reduced.  In my opinion, this post is important enough to repost every few days.  The crap that Americans believe is … absolutely astounding.

One comment to the long Peter AU1 post.  I would argue that the Russians have theorized that since the US is willing to send so many munitions to get destroyed and so many men to die in Eastern Ukraine, that the most effective strategy is to use Go Slow to feed the Davos Misinformation Campaign.  Russia is demilitarizing not just Ukraine, but Europe and even the US.  And now Europe and the US are intentionally destroying our national economies by spending so much on war (no longer called defense).

Trump has been hard at work convincing not just Europe, but South Korea, Japan, and India to destroy their own economies in an attempt to slow down the destruction of the US economy.  If Trump succeeds in all the ambitious plans he has put forward, in 5 years only Russia and China will be left standing with decent strong economies.  And the rest of the world will be pretty thoroughly demilitarized as well.

I think my favourite part of the ceasefire ‘deal’ is the stipulation about consequences if Ukraine fires missiles at St Petersburg or Moscow but the rest of Russia is apparently fair game.
Very much from the Zionist conception of ceasefire and clear admission that they intend to continue to strike targets within Russia with some level of legal justification.
The deal is obviously intended to create the ability to reshape the battlefield for another offensive as happened in Syria between 2019 and 2024.

It says 50% of the Profit not total spend – so assuming a full $200 bln is spent on reconstruction and an estimated profit margin of 20%, the USA would get about 1/2 of $4o bln or $20 bln. It is not clear if this goes to the government or private sector project managers.
It is unlikely that Russia will agree to let others decide how their money is spent and will want any funds spent on areas that they control.  The ones where Ukraine used civilian infrastructure fon military purposes as they retreated.

I’m an American and I agree with you 100 percent. American political and financial “elites” no longer stand for the American people and haven’t for 30 years. I’m DONE with their shit and their two party charade so are a lot of other Americans. I KNOW these pathetic puppets they’ve propped up in ukraine, mostly with our money, are evil. You don’t have to do much objective research to determine that. At this point, those who still support “ukraine” are either brain damaged or brain damaged and being paid to support “ukraine”.

This peace proposal is going nowhere. That’s obvious. I don’t think the Russians will go all the way to Odessa. However, I do think this incredibly stupid fiasco will end with “ukraine’s” almost complete capitulation.

RE:   clear admission that they intend to continue to strike targets within Russia with some level of legal justification. The deal is obviously intended to create the ability to reshape the battlefield for another offensive as happened in Syria between 2019 and 2024.

The so-called Peace Formation allows for permissions to mow the lawn periodically, when NATO/fig-leaf Ukraine/the EU bloc determines that Russia has engaged in nefarious acts (all of them fabricated) a la aiming lasers at Swedish fighter planes; sabotaging a portion of the Polish railroad; weaponizing whale farts in the Baltic, etc.

Now that they’ve cultivated the appetite for firing long-range weapons into Russia, they’re not going to relinquish the privilege just because they’ve collected signatures on a document.

As for who guarantees deal if one is made -Whoever has the most powerful military, and that is not the US nor Europe.

From the Resident TG channel –
“The mission is led by U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll, a classmate of J.D. Vance and one of the Pentagon’s most deeply immersed officials in the Ukraine file. Accompanying him are two four-star generals, Christopher Donahue and Randy George, as well as Lieutenant General Curtis Bazzard, who oversees NATO’s Ukraine support structure. It is a rare occurrence for three high-ranking military officials of this caliber to visit Kyiv simultaneously.

The visit had the official status of a fact-finding mission, which in the US political and military practice means the collection of primary data for subsequent decisions. The US command did not come to listen to Zelensky’s reports, but provided its own intelligence on the situation at the front and mobilization, and ultimately demanded clear timing for Trump’s peace plan.

The delegation’s key emphasis was on the impossibility of hiding the facts. The generals overseeing the supply, training, and intelligence know the numbers better than anyone: it is impossible to sell them optimistic reports of a “turning point” or “quick success with additional aid.” Therefore, the visit is not seen as an audit of the war, but rather as an ultimatum for further assistance that outlines Ukraine’s real resources and clear conditions for further action.”

And Reuters –
“The United States has threatened to cut intelligence sharing and weapons supplies for Ukraine to press it into agreeing to the framework of a U.S.-brokered peace deal, two people familiar with the matter said.”

“The sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Kyiv was under greater pressure from Washington than during any previous peace discussions, and that the U.S. wanted Ukraine to sign a framework of the deal by next Thursday.”

What the documents will be that Zelensky will sign could well be different to what has been seen, but if not, there is a few things in it that I believe Russia would change.

The other thing in that 28 point draft – it makes Trump himself sole arbiter of security in Europe

The agreement is poisoned, so to speak. Trump didn’t even mention some of Putin’s essential demands, completely deviating from what had been discussed. So it’s a trap, sweetened with a few treats for Russia, obviously still understanding how important these points are for Russia. Trump only thinks in terms of money and believes that if the amount is right, he can get anything he wants. He still doesn’t understand; this way of thinking is too foreign to him.

Agreed. The SMO will be a strategic failure if Odessa is not liberated.
Posted by: canuk | Nov 21 2025 12:08 utc | 260
Not only that…..
I have contact with Russians, sometimes even live on weekends, and I can confirm:
That the SMO, should it be dissolved without Odessa, will be seen as a LOST SMO = war by the Russian population, and it could potentially also mean the END of Putin’s position.
By the way… the “peace plan” only elicits laughter and head-shaking from the Russian people, but it’s a bet that Silensky will never be able to accept it and survive. The proposal itself is currently still being attributed to Trump as a war ploy to find a reason to remove the Cocaine Man or stop all data supply..
NO ONE can or wants to believe that Trump and his team are actually so “stupid” and naive as to take their own “peace proposal” seriously..
Incidentally, there were already live talk shows on the topic on Russian TV yesterday, November 20th… mostly accompanied by laughter from the audience.

A proper peace plan would be a withdrawal of NATO back to its early 90s borders. It’s coming.

I would consider that an opening Gambit. Bakers assurances about not an inch West, then the creation of a unified Germany, and then all the verbal gymnastics in the recent past (especially during the Nov 22 mutual security offer), tell me this is a specter that needs to be put to rest. The NATO/US Perfidy HOWLS in the face of all those that try to engage it…it is not lightly that the Russian side has used their indelible stamp and branded the US ‘agreement incapable’.

That Ball is in Irans’ court. Boom Boom Tel Aviv….

That peace plan is retarded and insulting. Buried among the meaningless yada yada, are item proposals that once again ignore the core issues for Russia.
Compensation? How about western powers behind this war compensate Russia in full for the enormous damage and loss of life? Russia can then dispense some of that towards rebuilding the Russian Ukraine as an integral part of Russia.
These people are always the same. Throughout history. Greedy, malevolent, rascist, and ruthless to the core. It could be viewed by some as ingenious the way manipulated the Ukraine, and made millions die pointlessly for their selfish ends, but at the end of the day, it is not anything but despicable, and horrific.

I hope there are a few Houthis/Anser allah on the ground. It would be a true spectacle to see the US bitch slapped in its own back yard…
