News & views related to the war in Ukraine …

Sorry about that one Malenkov, sincerly.
I was in a rush to get my “liked”  at @200 right below yours, it would have made less sence on the new page. I rushed with no editing.

When the Ukraine war began and on these pages I was shocked that the massive build-up of Russian forces and especially the million of tons of Russian armaments could so easily be arrived in Ukraine without challenge.  Three million combined dead  troops followed.
US losses in Vietnam were 58,000. This Ukraine has been World War 5 or 6 or 7. Just trying to keep this miserable war in perspective.

So you are saying that the US provoked a war that they had almost no plan on how to win. From what I have seen the US seems to be just pulling things out of their ass on the fly and hope something works. Not a very good plan .

Now they want to dump this war in the EU’s lap. Seems strange for something that they really wanted for themselves.

Why? Because it failed?
Not the first time that idiotic theorists engineered wishful thinking plans that failed because they underestimated some inputs or they were ignorants of other factors. When you are convinced that Russia is a gas station pretending to be a state, don’t be surprised to be surprised.

The trouble is its been a long war now, a very tough battle,  alot of casaltys , not enough rotation of troops for recouperation,  no young fresh higly trained bootz on the ground. People are loseing intersest.  The drones and in come fire never seem to stop.

But enough about the MOA comment  section,  back to ukraine.

I think you missed the point.

The US started wars in Korea, Vietnam,  Iran/Iraq, Nicaragua, Afghanistan, Yemen and Russia.

If it was a major league team their record is; 0 Wins, one tie (Korea) and 5 losses.

However, if you are a Sovereign that makes money and influence  through the MIC along with  corrupting , looting and pillaging you want , need continual wars and never want to win them cause then you would have to ‘build something’ rather than destroying it.

This has been the point post WWII AFAICT.  The corruption is widespread in our culture…..in the war arena, the MIC wins as long as they have a market for their wares and forcing the rest of the world to buy (inferior as it turns out) weapons systems at exorbitant prices makes for a permanent revenue stream(or so it is believed).  Much like the medical system that keeps people sick for their entire miserable short lives rather than addressing root causes because where’s the money in that.  The good news, IMO, is that this is an unsustainable system and a country like the US and its primary vassal states like western Europe, Canada, Australia etc. are at the point in their debt cycle that their economies look to resemble Russia post USSR collapse. My generation, that got all the benefits of this model and are now, thankfully, dying off seem OK to a large degree with this system (with exceptions of course). Younger people who are mightily struggling realize the bill of goods they’ve been sold and are seeking different paths.  This system cannot be reformed, it’s too far gone.  The concept of democracy is laughable…the clowns that get elected don’t have the real power and the managerial state of technocrats wield power but are controlled from behind the scenes by actors who have little use for the expendable lives of the hoi polloi……Or, I could be full of hot air…..so long and thanks for all the fish.

The US isn’t monolithic. To be precise, a president who couldn’t remember what he had for breakfast “provoked a war that they had almost no plan on how to win”  and Trump, inheriting a mess left by Nuland, Sullivan, et al, “wants to dump this war in the EU’s lap.”

– I more and more think that the NATO, EU, Europe have a plan to destroy the Ukraine in order to be able to loot / plunder the destroyed country even more without any resistance from the people and the government (or what’s left of it) in the Ukraine. There was a video that describes what the plans of the West with the Ukraine are.

Have to disagree
reform are a bought and paid-for psyop whose main purpose is to destroy the National Health Service. I don’t think immigration is important to Farage’s clique, it’s just a way to gather votes from, to use Bad King Don’s own words “the poorly educated”.

*** reform are a bought and paid-for psyop whose main purpose is to destroy the National Health Service. I don’t think immigration is important to Farage’s clique, it’s just a way to gather votes from, to use Bad King Don’s own words “the poorly educated”. ***

Immigration may matter to some of its leaders. Though not as much as it temporarily does, for ulterior motives, to the “Robinson” types and their Zionist sponsors. The ‘Reform’ woman who criticised racially propagandist (there is no other way they could be described) adverts nowadays so blatant in the UK was totally correct, and it was about time someone in mainstream politics finally mentioned what a lot of the public had already noticed and begun to resent  years ago. Interesting to see how pathetically lukewarm Farage’s endorsement of her statement was.

It is, however, the case that the main objective of that party is to make Britain even more a copy of the worst of the USA …. or maybe Argentina? Fanatical neoliberalism with no more health and welfare or public services …. but the mass-media’s obligingly obsessive emphasis on the party’s alleged illegal/legal mmigration views masks out the rest of its agenda from most potential voters. So it is very important to inform anyone thinking of voting for Reform — and many people now say they consider doing so —  of Reform’s main agenda, which is certainly not what most of the party’s targeted voters want.

Reform is just as much a construct of lie-encapsulated liberal shit as the new “Corbyn/Sultana” party … and just as much an Establishment false-flag front — both marketed to, at least partly, replace older Establishment parties which have finally rotted beyond the point of sustainable (fake) credbility.

Posted by: Cynic | Oct 28 2025 16:20 utc | 231

Cynic

I  missed “the reform woman”. I think I follow you but if you care to expand the point it might be helpful.
Cast your mind back seven  or eight years to the time when US, Israeli and British establishments and their respective “intelligence communities”  and  their media lackeys executed a smear campaign against J Corbyn. The moment can be reduced to M Pompeo flying into Britain and announcing that “Corbyn will have to run the gauntlet”

These forces are watching closely. Whether they have agents present at the formation of this new left party (it seems hard to believe they wouldn’t have such a presence)  or as you suggest a greater role, they will stop at nothing in their effforts to capture it and contain the hope evinced by the vast numbers people showing an interest in the idea or joining the party

Sultana’s remarks on Syria were worrying. I don’t know anything about Alawites but not opposing mass murder done in  public or live on the internet, for whatever reason wouldn’t win my vote

Dima/MS on Pokrovsk direction:
-RUAF establishing drone infrastructure in Pokrovsk, it will take 3 days at max and then they will project reliable drone control over entire Pokrovsk agglameration, meanwhile they keep whittling down AFU remnants within the agglameration
-Desperate AFU kitchen sink attacks in Rodynske repelled so far, they were using a lot of AFVs. So the cauldron is SECURE

Like Trump,  I’d imagine that Putin or even Medvedev – has to occasionally  let off steam – Venezuela could become the next proxy battlefield between Russia and the USA – just as Ukraine is now – but I doubt they’ll openly attack each others forces.

It’s amazing what the Russian Army can achieve without ammunition and by using washmachine computer chips!
Moreover, Putin is still alive besides dozens of physical and mental illnesses! Russians must be damn tough people!
XD

According to Dr. Markus Krall (author of “When Black Swans multiply”), Europe will be facing tough times. Covid1984, the destruction of Europe’s economies and societies as well as wasting money on Ukraine cause lots of troubles. Of course, the culprits will not take responsibility, so they are trying to save face by warmongering.

I saw the answer below on Reddit to a question about the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade: Has anyone here served with the 128th? How is it there?
“Very bad, haven’t served with them but I have fought in the same AO as them. It’s a typical meat brigade, most of the dudes are 50+, stay on position for months at a time, have poor equipment, bad logistics, and not enough dudes to hold the line so Russians are able to sneak into adjacent positions without them knowing(in a pretty quiet AO). Their drone teams are okay though.”
https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraineforeignlegion/comments/1nhyahx/128th_separate_mountain_assault_brigade/
How it is possible that a unit like that is able to hold the line? Is it because of the proficiency of the drone team?

128th mountain assault brigade has been supposedly reconstituted several times. The first time it was gutted during AFU’s Kherson offensive as a consequence of pre-set up artillery zones and ambushes.

Eventually RUAF evacuated Kherson in relative peace (the only thing they feared was the Himars strike on the bridge), by that time AFU forces including 128th was so wrecked that they cautiously came several days after RUAF left.

Looks like another formidable weapon added to the Russian arsenal.

“Russia has successfully tested a state-of-the-art nuclear-capable underwater drone, Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced.
Trials of the Poseidon system took place on Tuesday, the president said as he visited a military hospital in Moscow on Wednesday.
”When it comes to speed and depth, there is nothing comparable to this unmanned vehicle anywhere the world, and it is unlikely to appear anytime soon,” he stated.
At the moment, “there are no methods of intercepting” the Poseidon, Putin stressed.”

Could Putin allow some of the Neo-Nazi’s to flee with their lives?

“Russia is prepared to temporarily suspend operations against encircled Ukrainian units in Kupyansk and Krasnoarmeysk while media representatives visit the area, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
The president announced that Russian forces have completely surrounded Kiev’s troops in Kupyansk – a city in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region, and in Krasnoarmeysk, located in Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov had previously stated that up to 5,000 Ukrainian servicemen were encircled in the Kupyansk area and another 5,500 near Krasnoarmeysk.
In a statement on Wednesday, Putin announced that Moscow is willing to allow journalists to enter the encircled areas, including representatives of foreign media, and would cease combat operations against Kiev’s forces for the duration of media coverage.
“The political leadership of Ukraine must make a decision on the fate of its citizens which are currently encircled,” Putin said. He also warned Kiev against staging any provocations while media outlets are in the area.”

I suppose its better to sell them – before the West steals them – as the likes of the Dutch are good at stealing Chinese assets.

“Russian oil major Lukoil has announced plans to divest its foreign assets following the imposition of Western sanctions on the company and its subsidiaries.
Lukoil, along with Russia’s other major oil producer, Rosneft, was targeted by US sanctions announced last week by President Donald Trump, which followed similar UK sanctions against the two firms. The announcement triggered a spike in global oil prices.
Under a US Treasury license, the two companies are allowed to complete ongoing operations until November 21.
Lukoil is Russia’s second-largest oil producer, accounting for around 2% of global output. Founded in 1991 by Soviet decree and spearheaded by then deputy oil and gas minister Vagit Alekperov, who remains a co-owner, the company employs more than 100,000 people globally. It operates projects in the Balkans, the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, several EU countries, and the United States. By the end of 2024, Lukoil maintained a retail network of some 2,500 fuel stations in 20 countries, exporting 730,000 barrels of crude per day and around 300,000 bpd of petroleum products. The company reported a 2024 net profit of $10 billion.”

Some info on the Burevestnik missile.

“Russia’s unlimited-range Burevestik cruise missile is based on breakthroughs in nuclear reactor technology that allow a high degree of miniaturization and quick attainment of operational power, President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday. A landmark test of the nuclear-capable weapon was announced last week.
The president praised the engineers behind the achievement during a meeting with injured Russian soldiers at a military hospital.
The missile’s reactor “is comparable in output with a reactor of a nuclear-propelled submarine, but it’s 1,000 times smaller,” Putin said. “But the key thing is that where a regular reactor needs hours, days or weeks to go online, this one launches in minutes or seconds.”
The discoveries made during the creation of the unique power plant will find applications in civilian life, for example in building energy infrastructure in the Arctic, the president said. Meanwhile, the electronic components shielded from radiation that were developed for the Burevestik are already being used in space missions and will be utilized in Russia’s Moon exploration program.
Last week, Putin announced a successful test launch of the Burevestnik, during which the projectile reportedly traveled more than 14,000km. During a meeting this week, he reported a successful trial of the Poseidon system, an advanced nuclear torpedo that is understood to use the same technology as the Burevestnik for propulsion.
“For the first time, we succeeded not only in launching it from a submarine using its booster engine, but also in starting its nuclear power unit, which provided energy to the vehicle for a certain period of time. This is a tremendous success,” Putin said.
He added that the Poseidon’s reactor is miniaturized to a lesser degree than the Burevestnik’s, being roughly 100 times smaller than a regular submarine reactor.
Russia has not released details about the technology behind the two reactors. Some defense experts suggested that it derives from Russian nuclear submarine research.”

Why would Russia be in any kind of hurry in Ukraine when they are destroying the UK by going slowly?
https://x.com/MyLordBebo/status/1983588487640051957?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet

Every week the UK gets economically weaker even as the mass importation of violent, hostile foreigners destroys the UK’s social cohesion.  It’s not only the UK, Germany and France are destroying themselves at the cost of occasional, minor damage to Russian oil facilities.

Here is the cost calculus: Germany, France, and the UK become Third World African countries.  Russia loses a few oil refineries.  I suspect the Russian national leadership considers that acceptable.

Another consequence of Russia’s go slow approach to Ukraine: the U.S. begins moving brigades out of Romania and sending them back to the U.S.

The U.S. claims they are doing it because the European armies have become so powerful.they no longer need U.S. assistance in a war.with Russia.  As the linked to post explains, “The Army press release notwithstanding, European military capabilities have declined over the last two years, they have not increased in the slightest as their economies collapse and social unrest rises. While the US is unlikely to do what it obviously should, and withdraw entirely from the European zone in order to focus on its own sphere of influence, whoever is calling the shots clearly recognizes that fighting Russia in Europe is a war that it cannot hope to win.”

President Putin is once again playing the white knight to please the whole world. The encircled Ukrainian troops are to be released.
Did the Ukrainian Nazi troops release the encircled Russian civilian population in the Kursk region? No—up to 50,000 women, children, and elderly people were brutally massacred.Putin has not said a word about this to date.
Comrade Stalin would know what to do now.
