Trump’s War Against ‘Left-leaning’ Groups Extends Further

There are a number of indicators which lets one predict that the Trump administration, during the next election, will use government forces to severely attack and disrupt all opposition to it.

Trump has send the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents into the cities to harass and arrest alleged illegal immigrants. Due cause is disregarded and the methods used by the agents are brutal.

Trump has also sent National Guard troops into cities where, he claimed, riots were taking place. There were no riots or ‘terrorist incidents’ but the presence of troops is used to create a militarized atmosphere.

A new National Security Presidential Memorandum, NSPM-7 issued by Trump has defined new classes of internal enemies:

With the mainstream media distracted by the made-for-TV drama of James Comey’s indictment, Trump has signed a little-noticed national security directive identifying “anti-Christian” and “anti-American” views as indicators of radical left violence.

In NSPM-7, “Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence,” President Trump directs the Justice Department, the FBI, and other national security agencies and departments to fight his version of political violence in America, retooling a network of Joint Terrorism Task Forces to focus on “leftist” political violence in America. This vast counterterrorism army, made up of federal, state, and local agents would, as Trump aide Stephen Miller said, form “the central hub of that effort.”

The Trump administration isn’t only targeting organizations or groups but even individuals and “entities” whom NSPM-7 says can be identified by any of the following “indicia” (indicators) of violence:
anti-Americanism,

  • anti-capitalism,
  • anti-Christianity,
  • support for the overthrow of the United States Government,
  • extremism on migration,
  • extremism on race,
  • extremism on gender,
  • hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family,
  • hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on religion, and
  • hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on morality.

“The United States requires a national strategy to investigate and disrupt networks, entities, and organizations that foment political violence so that law enforcement can intervene in criminal conspiracies before they result in violent political acts,” the directive states (emphasis mine).

That all may sound laughable but these are unfortunately serious policies .  The target list includes organizations which do not exist:

The FBI and the homeland security department are actively investigating “Antifa” individuals and organizations that the Trump administration has branded domestic terrorists. Actions so far include collecting intelligence on Antifa “affinity” groups, canvassing the FBI’s vast informant network for tips about Antifa, and scrutinizing financial records, two sources involved in the investigations tell me.

There are no ‘antifa’ organizations. ‘Antifa’ is the idea of fighting indications of fascism. From time to time local interest groups may claim to do so for this or that reason. This category ‘antifa’ was likely chosen because it can be applied to any group that opposes government policies.

Today Yves Smith reports of another enforcement agency that Trump will use to destroy opposition to him:

The war against Trump’s perceived political enemies keeps escalating. The Wall Street Journal provides new detail on how the Trump Administration intends to use an IRS criminal unit, whose members bear arms, as part of his campaign against “left-leaning” organizations. This fallows a Reuters account describing how the Trump Administration intends to use the Department of Justice and DHS to pursue “left wing” groups that allegedly fomented violence.

Now to the press accounts. Key sections from the Journal’s report:

The Trump administration is preparing sweeping changes at the Internal Revenue Service that would allow the agency to pursue criminal inquiries of left-leaning groups more easily, according to people familiar with the matter.

A senior IRS official involved in the effort has drawn up a list of potential targets that includes major Democratic donors, some of the people said.

The undertaking aims to install allies of President Trump at the IRS criminal-investigative division, or IRS-CI, to exert firmer control over the unit and weaken the involvement of IRS lawyers in criminal investigations, officials said. The proposed changes could open the door to politically motivated probes…

Among those on the list are the billionaire Democratic donor George Soros and his affiliated groups…

Many on the left will not mind any attack on George Soros as his organization is well know for financing foreign color revolutions against legitimate leftist rulers. We can however be assured that Trump wont stop with them:

The list includes Soros’ Open Society Foundations; ActBlue, the funding arm of the Democratic Party; Indivisible, a grassroots coalition opposed to Trump policies and the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, a Los Angeles-based group.

Other groups on the list include two Jewish nonprofits that oppose Israel’s war in Gaza – IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace.

There is unfortunately little institutional or political opposition that can restrain Trump:

The push against domestic groups and their donors comes amid Trump’s attacks on law firms, universities and the media, and his deployment of National Guard troops to some Democratic-run cities.

Timothy Naftali, a presidential historian and former director of the Richard Nixon presidential library, said Trump and Nixon were similar in their desire to punish political enemies and silence critics, but a pliant Republican-controlled Congress and a cabinet packed with loyalists are enabling Trump to go further.

“That’s why this particular moment is more dangerous for the rule of law in the United States than the 1970s were,” Naftali said.

All these are ominous signs that Trumps war on the political opposition will escalate further. Seymour Hersh’s sources are warning of this:

What’s happening now may be a trial run for the use of those forces to interfere on the behalf of the president and the Republican Party in states where the Democratic Party has a chance to win crucial seats in next fall’s Congressional elections. I’ve been told by someone with inside knowledge that planning for such action is now under way in the White House.

The ‘coerced dominance’ that has marked Trump’s brutal approach to foreign policy will now being applied to domestic issues and legitimate opposition.

Russell Vought, Trumps’s Director of the Office of Management and Budget, and Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff for policy, are the men behind this.

The scary thing is that there is, so far, little or any opposition to these plans and only few warnings about their consequences.

After reading all of that, I still can’t tell whether you’re using “Trump Derangement Syndrome” in reference to the brainless morons who knee-jerk without thinking to support anything and everything Trump does, and automatically relentlessly attack anyone who criticizes him, or if you use it in reference to the brainless morons who knee-jerk without thinking to attack anything and everything Trump does, and automatically relentlessly attack anyone who supports him. In my view, both sides are equally stupid, equally incapable of critical thought, thus the term “Trump Derangement Syndrome” ought to apply to both. Whenever anyone uses it, I have to figure out which way they mean it, and I generally conclude that anyone using it for one side but not the other has it bad. I agree with you that it didn’t start with Trump.

I am talking about neither. I am talking about a literal mental illness.

What part of Mass Psychogenic Illness, and Traumatic Stress Disorder is so confusing for you? What part of it being produced by mass media and academia leaves you baffled? With these simple starting points, please indicate out how mass media and academia have deliberately triggered Traumatic Stress Disorders in the “deplorables” to cause them to exhibit a Mass Psychogenic Illness that manifests itself as unthinking support for Trump.

I’ll save you some time: It doesn’t exist.

Other than a brief period in 2015 necessary to boost Trump above the Republican primary alternatives, all US mass media referencing Trump has been negative in the years since, and typically intensely and hysterically negative.

Here is a challenge which you will absolutely fail: Go to your favorite news aggregator site. Links to examples below.
https://news.google.com/
https://news.yahoo.com/
https://flipboard.com/
Apple News for iOS users, etc.

Check the articles that reference Trump (you won’t have to dig far as Trump will be at the top of their lists). Count how many possess a negative spin on Trump vs how many have a positive spin. This will be difficult if you suffer from TDS as you will believe that anyone who doesn’t shriek with hysterical anguish and hate over Trump is a Trump supporter, but try anyway.

The ratio you will come up with is infinity:0

So where is the force in society driving a pathological support for Trump? Please make me laugh by saying Alex Jones.

It’s like when I refer to you and others as MAGApedos. I don’t know that you actually seek sex with children, it is to highlight how you condone Epstein and Trump’s sex crimes against young people. How you will hand-wave anything Trump does. ANYTHING. Genocide, theft, murder.

Again, rhetoric in the form of epithet.

It’s all fair game in discourse but it does make you seem retarded like the guy who goes on about “bolshies”.

Carry on.

Nope, it is a disease and you have it.

I am not trying to “own” you in an argument. That is you projecting your own motivations on others. I am simply trying to highlight the disease so that some people may be able to recognize it and thus be able to recover from it.

Yet you condone the Prophet marrying a six year old-sex trafficking- and sex with a nine year old-statutory rape- but, on the other hand , in your demented brain , it is a momentous evil to have sex with a consenting 17 year old woman if you are a much older man.

Trump has send the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents into the cities to harass and arrest alleged illegal immigrants.

“Alleged”? Are you attempting to suggest that the USA has not been under a concerted onslaught from the left, who have sent literally – that’s LITERALLY, as in ‘not a metaphor’ – millions of able-bodied young men (there’s scarcely a woman or child in the migrant caravans pictures that I see) who have no ties, no families, and no stake in to what is to them an alien culture. In any other time, this would have been seen as an act of war. Only in the reality-denying times we live in is this accepted.
So, according to b, there are zero illegal immigrants in the US, and Trump is just being a big meany ‘harassing’ innocent people. What an immensely stupid viewpoint. I wonder where b lives that he thinks allowing uneducated, unvetted, and undisciplined young black men into a country by the millions is a good idea.

If .. Covid were designed as a bioweapon to use against enemy populations, then it would only make sense to develop, at the same time, one or more vaccines to protect the people one wished to save.

<=IMO, covid was a decoy..

The real object was to get for free, even maybe make a profit doing it, enough information from people actually subjected to mRNA injections, to get FDA to accept and approve mRNAs as a safe way to deliver designer drugs.

mRNA infects in much the same way as Covid itself does.. It would have taken the too big to fail pharmaceutical entities many years and many billions of research dollars collecting enough data to be able to convince the FDA to consider approving injecting healthy humans with mRNA anything.

Think of mRNA as a Fedex box, a cassette.. you can put inside the box whatever sequence of nucleotides you want (even design synthetic genes, or take a gene from a horse or cow whatever and insert them by mRNA injection into the target patient (victim).

No matter its nucleotide content The mRNA will infect the target and integrate the nucleotide sequence the cassette contains into the DNA in the genome  of the human host (DNA is nothing but two strings of nucleotides each string twisted around the other to form a single string called a double helix).

Eventually every cell in the mRNA cassette injected into the body of a human will have the nucleotide sequence the mRNA cassette contained integrated into the natural DNA in the victim’s cells.  So the victims DNA has been altered, modified changed in some way. which means the metabolic processes have been altered.

The nucleotide contents of most of the vaccines were promoted as a vaccine but Invermectin seems to have been a far superior and safer treatment for Covid-19 and I suspect that is why its use was outlawed and taken off the Covid treatment protocols in many countries,  I believe Too Big to Fail Pharma did not want anything to cloud or effect or raise concerns, or give room for argument about the data the entire Covid 19 scam was designed to collect.

Again this is my opinion.

An excellent post.

I didn’t hesitate in refusing the mRNA shots- when they changed the definition of a vaccine in the US to push the poison through that was enough for me  though of course there were many reasons..

I am confounded that many otherwise intelligent people became lemmings in this obvious culling attempt.

I can only put the intellectual puzzle together by one theme: ‘humans are herd animals’.

You described it perfectly yourself, in the part where you were trying to prove it didn’t exist. If he wasn’t being relentlessly attacked, you wouldn’t have the brainless knee-jerk impulse to pathologically defend anything and everything he does no matter what it is.

I’ve decided it needs renamed. It’s Two-Party Derangement Syndrome, with one symptom being belief in the ludicrous idea that politics is one-dimensional from ‘left’ to ‘right’ and another symptom is incessantly attacking anyone who disagrees with any part of what ‘your side’ is supposed to think. Of course the fundamental problem is inability to think for oneself.

Posted by: Dalit | Oct 18 2025 20:15 utc | 618

Dalit @621:

Let me see if I understand what you are trying to assert. You’re saying that the mass media is deliberated and uniformly producing intensely negative and sensationalist content about Trump not to create an association of panic and anxiety in the minds of media consumers whenever Trump is mentioned, but rather because they realize that many media consumers know the mass media is full of shit and will react to their attacks on Trump counter to their obvious intentions to create fear and hate for him by supporting him?

Dude, that’s retarded and crazy. Why don’t they do the same on other topics? Get people to support Zelenskiiyy by vilifying him as a Nazi (despite that being the truth!)? Garner support for Israel and zionists by going all in on demonizing zionists? Why didn’t they go full-court press negative on Kamala “Giggle Whore” Harris to boost her chances in the last election?

Sorry to say it dude, but your supposition here is hardcore stupid. It is difficult enough for the keyboardists at the Mighty Wurlitzer to keep the Mockingbirds tweeting a uniform narrative as it is without them trying to employ complex multi-channel reverse psychology. Indicate where they have done that anywhere else in the world, say in Hungary or Georgia for color revolutions before they were kicked out, or everywhere in the EU right now to whip up support the Ukraine, or Hong Kong to motivate the cockroaches back in 2014.

Of course, the attacks on Trump are intended to implant a fear/panic reaction in the media consumers at the mention of Trump, so the mindless brainwash victims are the ones who do indeed react with fear/panic at the mention of Trump. TDS victims are what we are talking about here.

Obviously, people reacting counter to the intentions of the brainwashing efforts are thus NOT exhibiting mindless and knee-jerk behavior. They are exhibiting very mindful and consciously considered behavior. If they are not behaving as the brainwashers intend, then how can you call that “mindless and knee-jerk”? Why are you trying to create a false equivalency between the brainwashed and those who have resisted the brainwashing? Again, you are offering a hardcore stupid proposition.

Money is the tangible and fungible manifestation of capital. We already have a term that represents control by capital: Capitalism. Why do we need to muddy the waters by using another term that has additional connotations?

Posted by: William Gruff | Oct 18 2025 22:47 utc | 626

Hi DunGroanin! 🙂 I too believe the greater threat is from top upon down vs left against right. And it would make sense the power threat would try for longevity, thus be dynastic, to survive through the generations. So term like old names, old money, old connections point to the “man behind the curtain” manipulators. Hence the furious energy to bring division and anger between the peoples, for that is “divide and rule” to keep everyone from noticing them.

I’d welcome to hear you talk about connecting the dots in the open topic! (I believe I asked this ages ago of you, and you shared then too. It was wise and deserves an encore, especially in such acrimonious times.) I think shared understanding and lowered arms helps bring people together, the exact opposite of what power wants from the rest of people. If anything positive can come from this type of topic hopefully this reaching across and sharing can be that good thing: a teachable moment that communicates togetherness against cruel manipulators. 🙂 Let’s be that sweetness against the bitterness.

I don’t speak Arabic, so I am just going on what I find on the Internet. However, this link seems to be Ayesha’s own account of her marriage as reported in the Quran. It appears that she claims that she was 9 when she had intercourse, and the she lived with the prophet another 9 years until his death.
As far as his “best friend”, the account I read was that he was a powerful tribal chieftain and that the prophet married his daughter to secure an alliance with him; not uncommon in those days. The only reason it’s remarkable is that Ayesha claims she was 9. You weren’t there, so when you claim that someone is ignorant,  you are making assumptions about something that you don’t have first hand knowledge or evidence. Here’s the link:

You do realize that some people are trying to peacefully reach across the divide with rational discourse. A very prominent example was Charlie Kirk.

Please also notice that I do not refer to “the other side” as bad or evil people, demons, intractable enemies or any other such irresolvable difference, but rather as victims of damage from a “two minutes of hate” campaign that went on far too long… ten years too long.

Do carefully examine who in this and other threads who refers to their perceived political enemies in absolute and irreconcilable terms.

Yes, the divisions in society must be dealt with, but the approach taken by the TDS victims cannot achieve that. The TDS victims are, after all, simply being remote-controlled by the oligarchy by way of the mass media they own and control. That must be dealt with before any reconciliation is possible.

As is typical, some want to laud him as a victim and a paragon of “Christian” goodness in the world when he spewed so much hate, and he helped brainwash college students on behalf of the fascist Republican party (not to be confused with the fascist Democrat party).

OK, to sum up the subthread that’s been slithering through here lately, I’ll have to say that all things considered, the Prophet (blessed be his name, etc., etc.) was indeed a pedophile, at least by modern standards.

I’ll also have to say that at this stage of the game it doesn’t really matter. Too much water under the bridge; The Prophet’s modern adherents aren’t having any of that (most of them, at least), they’re not ditching Islam because of those rather despicable historical events, so it becomes a rather uninteresting topic to be discussing here at the bar.

Anti-Trump ‘No Kings’ protests sweep US cities
Protesters carried posters reading “No kings, no oligarchs” and “I pledge allegiance to no king,” accusing Trump of abusing power and condemning his crackdown on illegal migrants.
The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty,” organizers said on the ‘No Kings’ website.
“We call it the ‘hate America’ rally that will happen Saturday,” House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Wednesday. “I bet you’ll see Hamas supporters, I bet you’ll see antifa types, I bet you’ll see the Marxists on full display.”
White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told Fox News on Thursday that the Democrat Party’s main constituency are made up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals.”

You, LoveTDS, are a tragically damaged individual who confuses words you don’t like with violent attacks. You represent the problem and are what must be overcome for reconciliation in American society.

I agree, except the prophet’s followers are the first to accuse others of being pedophiles. It’s handy to remind them of their prophet’s backstory; their hypocrisy shows they really care nothing for children, even if they pretend otherwise.

Yes, I would like that because I find your reply to be much to vague, hand-wavey and not explaining much. So do please connect those dots for us.

Even though the thread is dead, I think the question is important. I prefer Umberto Eco’s description:
Umberto Eco’s 14 common features of fascism include:
1 The Cult of Tradition: A belief in the past and a rejection of modernity.2 The Rejection of Modernity: A disdain for the modern world and its values.3 The Cult of Action: A glorification of violence and action over reflection.4 Disagreement is Treason: A belief that dissent is a betrayal of the nation.5 Fear of Difference: An obsession with a perceived threat from outsiders.6 Appeal to a Frustrated Middle Class: Exploiting the fears and frustrations of the middle class.7 Obsession with a Plot: A belief in conspiracies against the nation.8 The Enemy is Both Strong and Weak: The enemy is portrayed as powerful yet cowardly.9 Pacifism is Trafficking with the Enemy: A rejection of peace as a viable option.10 Contempt for the Weak: A disdain for those who are perceived as weak or vulnerable.11 Everybody is Educated to Become a Hero: A glorification of heroism and sacrifice.12 Machismo and Weaponry: An emphasis on masculinity and militarism.13 Selective Populism: A populist approach that excludes certain groups.14 Newspeak: The use of language to manipulate and control thought.

Even Wikipedia discusses this:

“Ur-Fascism” or “Eternal Fascism: Fourteen Ways of Looking at a Blackshirt” (in Italian: Il fascismo eterno, or Ur-Fascismo) is an essay authored by the Italian philosopher, novelist, and semiotician Umberto Eco. First published in 1995, this influential essay provides an analysis of fascism, a definition of fascism, and discusses the fundamental characteristics and traits of fascism.

Eco outlines fourteen key elements or traits, which he refers to as “ways,” that commonly appear in fascist movements. While not all these traits are present in every fascist movement, together they create a recognizable pattern.

The No Kings rally was really entertaining……..aging, fat, hippie leftists screaming at the sky and carrying all kinds of really inane signs pushing their anarchist agenda……open borders, private firearms seizures, infanticide, child mutiliation, men in women’s sports, defund the police, socialize medicine (how has that worked out in Ireland and the UK), defend drug cartels and soldiers……real winning issues like that.
If that is what the once great Democratic party has descended into, then the future is clear……….middle America will never vote for these arse clowns again………..

Charlie Kirk: Engaged in dialogue on college campuses. He expressed his views and listened to and processed the views of his dialogue partners.

It has been reported here (with receipts) that Kirk had learned from his dialogue partners on college campuses that his beliefs concerning zionism were wrong, and he changed his beliefs.

LoveTDS: Engages in monologue. Doesn’t listen to others and doesn’t process their responses. Doesn’t change his beliefs when it is demonstrated that they are wrong. Proof: Insists on calling Kirk a zionist, even as concrete arguments are presented that Kirk no longer was, and in fact in the face of very convincing arguments that Kirk was assassinated not by a tragically broken TDS victim like LoveTDS himself, who suffered a psychotic break leading to horrible violence, but rather by the zionists acting to silence Kirk before he could publicly express his changed beliefs.

Obvious conclusion: Charlie Kirk is a better human being than LoveTDS. Morally, intellectually, and with regard to his impact on the world, Kirk is a far superior example of humanity than is LoveTDS.

And we have the receipts to prove it.

At least you gave a definition of fascism; most use the term without any historical understanding of what fascism is and where it came from.  Of those 14 features, many appear on the Left or the Right, and that makes it difficult to apply to our current political climate.
1,2 and 6 seem to be present in the Right/Republican side, 9 and 10 definitely the Left/Democrat side and 3 and 4 the Left’s shock troops (Antifa, etc.)  Because of how everyone is borrowing from the playbook, fascist is a word that can be used by everyone to attack anyone, and it’s not a very useful word anymore.

As an example of how powerful this “wokeness” and “identity politics” indoctrination is at the university level, note that over 40% of the attendees at Brown University report that they leak “gender fluid”, indicating how brutally they have been brain-fucked. This is typical for Ivy League colleges, and fairly common at other major universities.

Skipping over the presentation, which misses the aim for wit, this is almost certainly a false fact, ragebait BS intended for the mindless faithful. If not made up out of whole cloth, which is entirely possible, the survey’s wording on the question, sample size and sampling methodology are almost certainly unsound. The assertion this is typical for Ivy League and fairly common at other major universities is simply made up. God only knows what might have been meant by so-called gender fluid: An admission that girls often wear jeans, tee and tennis shoes, instead of dresses? Acknowledging that the football team wore dresses on Halloween? A confession-not confession that there might have once been a same-sex encounter sometime in the past ten years?

This poster is completely dishonest.

What I’m after is more along the lines of the questions I originally posed:
What would convince you that fascism has actually come to the United States?
What conditions would have to exist, what events would have to take place in order for you to definitively state that?
How would we know that fascism has actually arrived here?

Oh, I agree. I didn’t think a lengthy comment would generate dialogue this late in the thread.  I just wanted to give George an answer to his question.

Yes, fascism is nothing more than an epithet, yet the phenomenon is real. The retreat from the Enlightenment, the cult of violence and suicidal sacrifice, the machismo – this is destroying the concept of dialogue and compromise. Nobody wants to be seen as weak.

IMHO, the Biden regime was sort of an innoculation that gave the “fascist” tendencies of the right a legitimate and real target. IMHO, the Biden/Soros/WEF edicts deliberatel provoked a backlash; and Trump was put in a position to exploit that backlash.

Democracy died in the US a long time ago. What we call politics today is little more than theater. And even that is coming to an end as raw power is walking openly.

In response to

Money is the tangible and fungible manifestation of capital. We already have a term that represents control by capital: Capitalism. Why do we need to muddy the waters by using another term that has additional connotations?

For someone who touts themselves as so smart and into representing things clearly, I am curious why you continue misrepresenting capitalism.  Control by capital is not capitalism.  Control by capital in China is done by the sovereign government but control by capital in the West is by private people I refer to as the God Of Mammon cult.

I know that you understand this reality William and wonder why you continually chose to misrepresent it.

i respect the idea of people protesting… to have politicians in power labeling them as terrorists, and etc – aside from showing how insecure they are, it highlights how much they fear people actually challenging gov’t thru protest….

the idea that their is a class war with both political parties, the dems and repubs ( what i call the war party ) – who don’t give a rats ass about the welfare and well being of the people – that is what i mean by wealthy and poor… these 2 parties represent the wealthy…

You’re looking for a simple rule. There isn’t one. Subverting a government via agitprop, bribery, and blackmail is a slow, messy process that usually proceeds in the shadows.

As I said to Paranese, it seems that Biden did fascist things that gave Trump the cover story that he was rescuing the US from globalism, which they call communism. This corresponds to 1. The Cult of Tradition.

Biden/WEF/woke garbage was almost perfectly placed to allow fascist elements to claim they were saving the traditional values. That’s why I say that politics is nothing more than performance art these days. Biden setting up Trump, both working for the end of a “fascist” state.

Is fascism here yet? To paraphrase William Gibson, “fascism is here, its just unevenly distributed.” If you are hispanic, you are already experiencing masked fascist goon squads breaking down your door without a warrant.
—-
4. Disagreement is treason – Trump is calling No Kings protestors “traitors”. His DoJ is preparing RICO cases.

The absolutely violent rhetoric emmanating from Trump is classic fascism. Zero tollerance for disagreement. Democracy is being beaten to death in front of us.

2. The rejection of modernity: the entire Enlightenment is under attack – separation of powers, separation of church and state, right to free speech, right to habeus corpus (effectively destroyed under W Bush)

As one on the Right of the spectrum, I have trouble understanding what “fascist tendencies of the right” means.  According to some posters here, enforcing the law, protesting policies (LGBT, immigration, green energy, etc.) engaging in dialogue (ala Charlie Kirk) are all fascist actions. However, I can’t remember any right-wing, fascist style violent actions since the Oklahoma City Bombing. I’m guessing there are some, but much of what is called right-wing fascism is actually police misconduct on the faulty assumption that all police are conservatives, and even during Democrat controlled administrations they are responsible for right-wing fascism.
Left-wing fascism is pretty easy for me to point out: Antifa beating up people and shooting ICE agents or anyone in their custody, BLM rioters burning down cities and beating those who wouldn’t take a knee, Trantifa activists shooting random students or campus speakers (Charlie Kirk) who they see as opposed to their ideology. It all seems like pretty violent stuff and often directed at random victims because the goal is to use violence to scare people into compliance. That’s definitely fascist. Right-wingers mostly talk, as far as I can tell.

I remember a William Gruff from years ago that was not hidebound and did encourage pushback against the top upon down. 🙂 I would like to believe you are that same William Gruff deep down, as much as it seems you are frustrated with how people have changed from power’s social engineering. I… understand the idea of dialogue, but would politely disagree with a young Charlie Kirk being a good example of that. About the older Charlie Kirk having a moment of doubt and perhaps reflecting… perhaps a better example.

Max Blumenthal does go into the money that rapidly exploded Charlie Kirk into an institution from a young 18 age and was essentially coached into skilled rhetorical traps for a “curated” open campus audience. I do remember my forensics studies on speech, and remember how daytime talk shows “curated” the scenes and audience talk to press engagement and ratings, and the lessons from David Brock’s semi-confessional autobiography “Blinded by the Right” on the tactics to manipulate optics, interviews, and book sales… So I do not take such campus daytime events as more than mere entertainment.

I do believe Candice Owens and Charlie Kirk having modern epiphanies about “the hand that fed them” as it were is a positive development. A more positive example I would include is Colonial Outcasts, with Greg Stoker & Matt Wayne. They too had development epiphanies growing up from deeply conservative upbringings (their own words) and have reached the conclusion to cross that aisle and hold hands in solidarity. I believe they are right that now is the time to make common cause, left and right (as best we are able), against the top crushing the bottom. They have a deeper understanding of their own communities and how to reach through positive engagement.

That said, I do understand the reluctance between groups for detente. To reduce tension feels like disarming, a besieged mentality torments the general populace. Someone is benefitting too much from the division to let either group relax & heal, so someone will always show up to twist the knife in the wound. We have to become not reflexive in responding to agitation, like many of the current events’ most mature actors are doing. Steadfastness. Restraint. Humanity.

I have trouble understanding what “fascist tendencies of the right” means.

You left out my quotation marks

gave the “fascist” tendencies of the right a legitimate and real target.

By those quotes around fascist, I meant that I am not able to declare anyone, left or right, to be whatever flavor of authoritarianism we are talking about. I just told George that declaring “fascism” is tricky. There are characteristics. Everyone has some of these characteristics. It depends on whether they have enough of them.

Are you saying the right has no authoritarian tendencies at all? That dangerously violent clowns like Kyle Rittenhouse do not express “fascist tendencies? Are you saying there is no mysogyny on the right? No homophobia? (transphobia is a manufactured wedge issue. I myself feel sad for these manipulated suckers.)

According to some posters here, enforcing the law, protesting policies (LGBT, immigration, green energy, etc.) engaging in dialogue (ala Charlie Kirk) are all fascist actions.

But I agree with most of those “fascist” actions because I think the whole thing was a setup.

According to me, the people puppeting Biden didn’t enforce the law, pushed divisive crap like LGBTQXYZ, allowed massive illegal immigration because they wanted to provoke the very reaction I am talking about. Biden gave Trump the perfect cover to pretend to care about restoring law and order. Too bad the minute  Trump got back in office he started tearing up the Constituion under the plan handed to him by Project 2025.

Posted by: john brewster | Oct 19 2025 5:20 utc | 665

Posted by: Paranaense | Oct 19 2025 3:24 utc | 664

Let me expand on “provoking a reaction”. Below is some of what I wrote on my substack about that. Can you see that I don’t think the “right” was mistaken to take the stances they did on those issues during the Biden admin? The whole thing was engineered.

The Biden Administration: A Sure-fire flop

The Biden administration adopted the most offensive policies possible, all but guaranteeing a victory in 2024 to Trump. Their policies created a Producers-like plot, but without the comedic success.

First, they opened the borders, allowing in massive numbers of illegals that are the perfect foil and justification for Trump’s gang of masked ICE blackshirts. To add insult, they gave these illegals money and hotel rooms, found them jobs, and finagled them CDLs that led to manslaughters. This was an injury to hardworking, low income Americans and to legal immigrants. The Democrats hemorrhaged voters in those categories.

Next the Dems kept pushing the disruptive and worthless efforts to contain Covid, using unsafe, ineffective vaccines, useless distancing and masking rules, and mandatory vaccinations. They crucified any credentialed scientist who questioned this regimen and banned the publication of data contrary to the party line. In the process, they undermined trust in scientific impartiality, opening the way for every rightwing crackpot snake oil peddler to prosper under MAHA.

Thirdly, the Dems pushed “woke”, the most offensive bit of divisive psychological warfare ever tried. No sane politician would support transvestite shows for children, providing grooming, chemicals, and surgery to sexually dysmorphic children who would most likely be normal once puberty kicked in, and promoting the most bizarre sexual agenda imaginable – 72 genders. Another woke provocation was the whole DEI quota agenda, with group membership outweighing skill and experience. To complete the agitprop, there was the entire reverse-racism blood libel that all whites are evil. All this craziness was heavily promoted and enforced by schools from kindergartens to colleges. The teachers unions’ and college faculties’ embrace of this toxic nonsense further discredited education, which has long been a rightwing target. The left was validating every over-the-top trope of rightwing propaganda going back a century.

Finally, the Dems lied about Biden being a vegetable for years. Then, without the slightest nod to democracy, they anointed word-salad Kamala the worst possible choice, who ran on a platform of “joy”, burned a billion dollars in three months and lost in a landslide. The complete disrespect for the rank and file of the party, especially the naive backers of sheepdog Bernie, turned off a lot of Dem voters.

To Archetypex the Übermensch, your stance on Muslims is so ridiculously hypocritical that reading it hurts like the screeching of the chalk on a blackboard.

Admittedlly, you are right on one point : pedophilia is not Western world’s monopoly.

I have a question though : if according to the Bible Joseph married Mary when she was 12, does this make you a potential pedophile ?

Some other parts of the Bible refer to the passing of “the flower of youth” for the consummation of marriage which clearly means puberty. Still, girls can be pubescent at a very young age.

Follow your own logic.

About the way Trump handles illegal immigration and to those who support it, a two more questions :

To what extent do you think his policy will be effective in the long term ?

Don’t you think the never-ending international policies against South America consisting in meddling in the affairs of sovereign countries, in backing fascist regimes, in favoring political instability or in waging wars to loot natural resources and therefore fertilizing the ground for migrations is consistent with anti-immigration policies ?

As an outside observer, I cannot help thinking it’s playing “arsonist fireman”, if this makes any sense for English speakers.

I make clear that I have absolutely no more sympathy for Democrats than I do for Republicans. Behind the progressive versus reactionary facade, it’s potayto, potahto.

Good morning barflies,
The thread is still rumbling along ‘nicely’ it seems, except for the turds in the corner, still trying to malign islamism because of ‘paedophelia’ – when they are actually talking about marriages … I thought that was answered quite early on by the list of child brides in AngloEuropean history!
Heck there was plenty of it going in yankeedoodlia – famously with Jerry Lee Lewis and even Presley as with other traditions invading settlers brought with them – their Bibles are full of such ‘begettings’ – so can we stop with that pearl clutching please.

Yes By George! Billy, I believe you have GOAT it !
Almost … you been on fire this thread.

I’ll keep it as short as I can – George wants the longer answer so he gets first dibs (next post) – money is not capital in the modern world.

It took me a few years to work that out when I went in search of what money really is.

A long long time ago perhaps it was.
Think flint tools / arrowheads … it’s makers and users.

Bear with me WilliamGruff.

I am trying to address your very specific point.
But to do that we must both agree on the definition of capital.

‘ capital my dear fellow, capital! ‘ is a phrase that is one path to that definition.

Here’s another avenue.

Is seed corn (any seed) capital?
Is a farmers land capital?
Are that farmers tools capital?
Is that farmers knowledge of his tools, land, seasons, capital?
Is that farmers muscles and labour capital?
Is the money under the farmers mattress capital?

The answers to all the above except the last is Yes.

The money stuffed in the mattress does not grow any food by itself it is just a store of some of the food (wealth) grown (created) by the farmers capital (in all its definitions above).

Including the physical labour – before the shouty pseudo religious Marxists who will try and divert this understanding turn up.

So can we agree on that definition of what is capital and why it is NOT money?

If not then you’ll have to try and convince me why.

It is why we have to not mangle the two – which is what the pseudo religious economics and marxists attempt to do. They have done that for centuries since they created their neo religion of Capitalism/AntiCapitalism to replace the scientifically destroyed ‘faiths’ in their god created , flat earth, heaven and hell , mental slavery beliefs.

The Fascists.

Their man made shackles, which sufficed for a good millenia since they dreamed it up, to enslave the whole world with.

Now that too has failed, because as humans we can’t be fooled all of the time, they are forced into creating endless new religions – based on fear and loathing – the latest most amazing sci-fi future proof being transhumanism … that will have to wait for another conversation.

”…vague, hand-wavey and not explaining much. So do please…”

Thank you so much for the kind invitation, George the Zeroth. And the magic word, how can I not oblige.
Though I suspect you know pretty much what I’ll be saying, eh!

Also it being Sunday – I’ll make a sermon of it for whoever is still awake if not sober. Be seated barfly congregation.

MONEY (is) CONTROL = FASCISM.

The shapeshifter dynasties have been doing it for scores of generations.

It goes back to when THEY invented their version of MONEY.
Starting as the coin of the realm!
It was under the Roman Empire
Then they needed to enshrine that into a Religion.

They chose to build Christianity as that vehicle.
 – a ‘Trojan horse’ in some respect. (Why waste a good idea)

The essential message, which non-Christian’s always find a bit weird is Jesus being upset with MONEY CHANGERS and the message of taxation that he endorses!

‘whose fizzog is on the coin?’,
‘Caesar’,
‘Well rend onto Caesar what is his’
———
See?
It is not ‘your’ money, you do not ‘make’ money, only Caesar can make it – you can only EARN it and spend it and be taxed with it !

Fiat money, and previously fractional banking and previously IOU’s and previously minting … have always been about creating it out of NOTHING  or some metals.
By giving it some meaning.

That last is so important because it is the basis of the transfer of Wealth – which YOU create and is stolen from YOU by the Caesars using that mechanism instead of robbery at knife point with a gang of thieves. That still happens btw
(every imperilist inaction and colonisation, every piracy etc)

All of the Eurocentric history and religion and ownership is therefore based around control of populations and collection of their wealth creating activities – whether they want to create that wealth or not. Somebody has to so you are forced to or starved, made homeless or prisoned or  ultimately executed as an example to others

The dictates from the palaces, it’s pulpits; the stories, the printed works, arts and culture and the rest of the mediums of message ever since – each one owned wholly, as  intellectual ‘property’ – the idea of it – captured and legally and violently controlled ; then used as these neoreligions neo pulpits with the same siren song message always,  reinforced with the cultural objects that are crafted specifically for each medium’s effectiveness.
…. Thems the dots George the Zeroth, do you see them?

That I believe is where I have traced the dots of Eurocentric fascist ‘history’ to, so far. An understanding which I had no concept or expectation of, when I started off innocently,  trying to understand what money really is!

It is CONTROL – ie Fascism.

For those who may find my posts a bit too esoteric some direct concrete sign posts.
No one in their right mind anywhere should support fascism SOME of the beliefs that makes someone a knowing or unknowing fascist are support of :

the Illegal apartheid entity WasNeverReal (ANY Imperilaist colonisation) its miltary and mossad setup the ‘IoF’ (imperial trooper/ Nazi ss /gestapo copycat mass murderers);
Genocide (anywhere, ever);
Ukraine (it is a mirage);
New Nazi (nato, Banderism etc);
Old Nazi (Anglo euro imperialism – fascist Bankers);
Russophobia (especially poootin fearmongering);
Sinophobia (anything they do);
Afrophobia – any Racism based on colour (a fascist reverse dogma);
Xenophobia based on anything;
Religion which has fundamentalist/supremacist/eschatological dogma that results in mass psychosis and hatred of neighbours.

That’ll do for now. Enjoy the rest of the thread.

“if according to the Bible Joseph married Mary when she was 12, does this make you a potential pedophile ?”

Apparently you haven’t read the Bible. It never said Mary was 12. I have seen scholars suggest that she was between 14 and 16, but the Bible just says she was  “a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph” (Luke 1:27). You shouldn’t make things up and then expect people to take you seriously.

Thanx for the precision. Indeed, it’s not in the Bible but in the Gospel of James.
The Bible though still mentions the Flower of Youth.
It feels much better the way you say it…
14 to 15, uh ? Tell me, is it why child marriage is still legal in 34 states in USA ?

“By those quotes around fascist, I meant that I am not able to declare anyone, left or right, to be whatever flavor of authoritarianism we are talking about. I just told George that declaring “fascism” is tricky.”

Okay, thanks for clarifying. I think I get what you’re saying.
As to the other points you make, every government is by definition “authoritarian.”  Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted by a jury of his peers, because Americans still have the right to self defense (maybe others don’t get it, but it’s something we cherish). And misogyny and homophobia aren’t fascist tendencies, they are part of the human condition, no different than xenophobia, anti-Semitism, anti-Christianity, racism, and other prejudices we display. We are fallen, sinful creatures and if you want to outlaw our flaws and failures you might as well outlaw breathing.

“where is the force in society driving a pathological support for Trump? Posted by: William Gruff | Oct 18 2025 14:32 utc | 605” You described it perfectly yourself, in the part where you were trying to prove it didn’t exist.
Posted by: Dalit | Oct 18 2025 20:15 utc | 619

Yes that describes exactly what US politics has degenerated into.

But then you say:

I never said or even implied that the attacks on Trump were intended to increase support for him. You asked what was causing certain people to pathologically support him; I told you.
Posted by: Dalit | Oct 18 2025 21:27 utc | 622

Come on Mr Dalit have a spine, just because Gruff calls you retarded and crazy don’t run away with your tail between your legs.
Of course the attacks on Trump are intended to increase support for him as well as  increase the animus of the TDS crowd against Trump . Its pretty standard divide and rule.  We have been watching this fake drama for almost a decade and even Gruff admits that it has had the effect of  increasing support for Trump, but he claims its all uninintended.

For people like Gruff to admit that the Legacy News Media attacks on Trump have always been a driving force behind Trump’s popularity would be an admission that they have been a lot smarter than Gruff is, for all these years. And thus he and his kind will double down on stupid.

The “Gospel of James” is not in the Holy Bible, and there are many spurious books that used apostle’s names to try to gain credibility. The Bible does mention “flower of youth” (1 Corinthians 7:36) but in the context of being an old maid or someone past marriageable age, not someone who is too young for marriage.  And when you talk about child marriage being 14 or 15 years old, yes there are cultural differences about where the acceptable line is.  But no one except perverts and Muslims defending their prophet will suggest that it’s OK to have sex with a 9 year old.

That’s certainly a plausible theory, but I’m not sure enough of it to claim it as fact, hence I only denied making any claims about that point. The incessant attacks on Trump that Griff pointed out seem to me to be more likely to have the UNintended effect of creating mindless knee-jerk support for him by the other half of the Two-Party Derangement Syndrome folks.

Its a a plausible theory that has been consistently and repeatedly confirmed for at least decade.

You and Gruff may be to slow-witted to catch on but Trump clearly understands the value of having a rabidly antagonistic legacy media to boost his popularity. That’s why starting as far  back as 2016 at Trump rallies the legacy news media are herded into “press pens”  located in the middle of the crowd, then  Trump from time to time in his speeches hurls insults at them and exhorts the crowds  to boo, jeer and throw trash in their direction.

Nope. Disagree.

Here’s the English version : «But if any man thinketh that he behaveth himself unseemly toward his virgin daughter, if she be past the flower of her age, and if need so requireth, let him do what he will»

It clearly mentions a virgin daughter past the flower of her age, i.e puberty.

In the French version, the phrase flower of her age is replaced by nubile.

And misogyny and homophobia aren’t fascist tendencies, they are part of the human condition, no different than xenophobia, anti-Semitism, anti-Christianity, racism, and other prejudices we display. Posted by: Paranaense | Oct 19 2025 13:33 utc | 683

I also disagree with some of that. Kind of.

If you mean not only fascists are misogynists, homophobes, xenophobes, antisemites, racists and so on, that’s true…

But fascists check all these prejudices.

You’ve probably noticed I didn’t count anti-Christianism among them.

Until proven wrong, I tend to believe that any fascist or crypto-fascist regime that ever existed was not hostile to Christians.

Re the exchange on a mass media conspiracy to denigrate Trump driven by the hysteria of the woke conspiracy at the overwhelming popularity of Trump versus a media conspiracy to denigrate Trump to inflame his supporters by making Trump look like a martyr? Both sides are not even wrong. They both assume too many facts that are not facts. First, there is the assumption that only the liberal mass media count as mass media, which assumption is grotesquely wrong. Plus, the right wing media overall seem much more likely to use direct lies, while the liberal media favor information suppression. But both branches are indiscriminately reliant on government press releases and government informants. And both branches promote the national mythology and even more resolutely promote the capitalist mythology.

Second, the premise that the mass media are relentlessly campaigning against Trump is simply not true. It’s certainly not true of the right-wing mass media, which does exist despite all lies to the contrary. But it’s not even true of the liberal mass media. This is simply a fact. Trump got free publicity in his campaign for the nomination while Sanders did not. That pretty much disproves the assumption that crazed liberals have despised Trump for being vulgar reactionary working class. And yes, the people whining about TDS are basically saying a billionaire is working class because he’s reactionary. That’s the right-winger’s version of identity politics, where crossing class lines to collaborate with the ruling class in defense of the (reactionary) identity is more important. The billionaires  themselves of course put class first, by the way.

But if you want more, remember if you can what didn’t happen—a tidal wave of stories about Trump strategic bankruptcies, about Trump cheating vendors, about Trump’s connections to Roy Cohn, about Trump’s pushing that old birther BS, about the fraud of Trump University. Well, the list is endless. The liberal media has not, does not, and never will launch a concerted campaign against Trump from the left.  The only criticisms acceptable to the majority of the liberal media are from the right.  That’s idiocy like Trump, Agent of Putin, which of course simply copies the tactics used by right-wing media against Clinton. And if you want something more up to date, consider how the supposedly Trump Deranged woke globalist PMC liberal media also buried Epstein as much as possible. Between digging up that can of worms and Kamala Harris losing to Donald Trump, they picked Trump. Because, children, Epstein is much more Republican than Democrat. Mike Johnson knows this, even if the rest of MoA commentariat doesn’t. Trump appointed Barr and Barr was part of the coverup. Harris could have hammered that day in and day out, but that fix was in. The mystery is why it threatens to come back now. My guess is that some Republicans seeing Trump even more incompetent this time round are feeling a little buyers’ remorse?

The general perspective of both sides in this exchange seems to be that everything is kayfabe. One side thinks that as long as the heels and heroes put on a good show, the audience is getting its money’s worth. And the other thinks that the audience is cheated when the partners put on a show instead of real fight. I say they’re doing neither. Typically both sides pull their punches, lest hoi polloi get out of hand during a real fight. It is always the performers against the audience if they get riotous. The question now, is Trump breaking that gentlemen’s (as in ruling class!) agreement to keep it all in hand? Or is it trying to take it all, it being the public thing, the Republic?

What do mean by “most of the attacks on Trump”?

If you are talking about most of the news reports that attack Trump? Those attacks are certainly by reporters that are genuinely antagonistic to Trump. A media outlet that wants its reporters to attack Trump doesn’t have to look very hard to find reporters willing an able to attack Trump. Those reporters are just useful idiots that could never get a job at a news outlet that doesn’t want to attack Trump.

——————————————————————————-
Thanks (groan) for confusing and obfuscating the issue.
Of course “Antifa” exists: it’s not as if it’s just a made-up thing, an “AI” hallucination or some such.
But it’s not an “organization” in anywhere near the commonly-accepted meaning of that term:
No central office. No board of directors; no directors at all. No mailing address. No main web site.
Certainly none of the bullshit we’re reading (here as well as elsewhere) that it’s funded by the likes of George Soros or some other cartoon-character evildoer.
“Antifa” is just a bunch of ad hoc actions undertaken by like-minded people opposed to what they perceive as fascism; that’s  as far as the “organization” goes. It ceases to exist at the end of the event.

So again I must suggest to Trump’s DOJ and FBI to just abandon any effort to prosecute “Antifa”. They might as well try to arrest and prosecute a puff of smoke (like some of the “rolling coal” smoke I saw yesterday spewed at us at the No Kings rally I attended).
