Trump’s War Against ‘Left-leaning’ Groups Extends Further

There are a number of indicators which lets one predict that the Trump administration, during the next election, will use government forces to severely attack and disrupt all opposition to it.

Trump has send the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents into the cities to harass and arrest alleged illegal immigrants. Due cause is disregarded and the methods used by the agents are brutal.

Trump has also sent National Guard troops into cities where, he claimed, riots were taking place. There were no riots or ‘terrorist incidents’ but the presence of troops is used to create a militarized atmosphere.

A new National Security Presidential Memorandum, NSPM-7 issued by Trump has defined new classes of internal enemies:

With the mainstream media distracted by the made-for-TV drama of James Comey’s indictment, Trump has signed a little-noticed national security directive identifying “anti-Christian” and “anti-American” views as indicators of radical left violence.

In NSPM-7, “Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence,” President Trump directs the Justice Department, the FBI, and other national security agencies and departments to fight his version of political violence in America, retooling a network of Joint Terrorism Task Forces to focus on “leftist” political violence in America. This vast counterterrorism army, made up of federal, state, and local agents would, as Trump aide Stephen Miller said, form “the central hub of that effort.”

The Trump administration isn’t only targeting organizations or groups but even individuals and “entities” whom NSPM-7 says can be identified by any of the following “indicia” (indicators) of violence:
anti-Americanism,

  • anti-capitalism,
  • anti-Christianity,
  • support for the overthrow of the United States Government,
  • extremism on migration,
  • extremism on race,
  • extremism on gender,
  • hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family,
  • hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on religion, and
  • hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on morality.

“The United States requires a national strategy to investigate and disrupt networks, entities, and organizations that foment political violence so that law enforcement can intervene in criminal conspiracies before they result in violent political acts,” the directive states (emphasis mine).

That all may sound laughable but these are unfortunately serious policies .  The target list includes organizations which do not exist:

The FBI and the homeland security department are actively investigating “Antifa” individuals and organizations that the Trump administration has branded domestic terrorists. Actions so far include collecting intelligence on Antifa “affinity” groups, canvassing the FBI’s vast informant network for tips about Antifa, and scrutinizing financial records, two sources involved in the investigations tell me.

There are no ‘antifa’ organizations. ‘Antifa’ is the idea of fighting indications of fascism. From time to time local interest groups may claim to do so for this or that reason. This category ‘antifa’ was likely chosen because it can be applied to any group that opposes government policies.

Today Yves Smith reports of another enforcement agency that Trump will use to destroy opposition to him:

The war against Trump’s perceived political enemies keeps escalating. The Wall Street Journal provides new detail on how the Trump Administration intends to use an IRS criminal unit, whose members bear arms, as part of his campaign against “left-leaning” organizations. This fallows a Reuters account describing how the Trump Administration intends to use the Department of Justice and DHS to pursue “left wing” groups that allegedly fomented violence.

Now to the press accounts. Key sections from the Journal’s report:

The Trump administration is preparing sweeping changes at the Internal Revenue Service that would allow the agency to pursue criminal inquiries of left-leaning groups more easily, according to people familiar with the matter.

A senior IRS official involved in the effort has drawn up a list of potential targets that includes major Democratic donors, some of the people said.

The undertaking aims to install allies of President Trump at the IRS criminal-investigative division, or IRS-CI, to exert firmer control over the unit and weaken the involvement of IRS lawyers in criminal investigations, officials said. The proposed changes could open the door to politically motivated probes…

Among those on the list are the billionaire Democratic donor George Soros and his affiliated groups…

Many on the left will not mind any attack on George Soros as his organization is well know for financing foreign color revolutions against legitimate leftist rulers. We can however be assured that Trump wont stop with them:

The list includes Soros’ Open Society Foundations; ActBlue, the funding arm of the Democratic Party; Indivisible, a grassroots coalition opposed to Trump policies and the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, a Los Angeles-based group.

Other groups on the list include two Jewish nonprofits that oppose Israel’s war in Gaza – IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace.

There is unfortunately little institutional or political opposition that can restrain Trump:

The push against domestic groups and their donors comes amid Trump’s attacks on law firms, universities and the media, and his deployment of National Guard troops to some Democratic-run cities.

Timothy Naftali, a presidential historian and former director of the Richard Nixon presidential library, said Trump and Nixon were similar in their desire to punish political enemies and silence critics, but a pliant Republican-controlled Congress and a cabinet packed with loyalists are enabling Trump to go further.

“That’s why this particular moment is more dangerous for the rule of law in the United States than the 1970s were,” Naftali said.

All these are ominous signs that Trumps war on the political opposition will escalate further. Seymour Hersh’s sources are warning of this:

What’s happening now may be a trial run for the use of those forces to interfere on the behalf of the president and the Republican Party in states where the Democratic Party has a chance to win crucial seats in next fall’s Congressional elections. I’ve been told by someone with inside knowledge that planning for such action is now under way in the White House.

The ‘coerced dominance’ that has marked Trump’s brutal approach to foreign policy will now being applied to domestic issues and legitimate opposition.

Russell Vought, Trumps’s Director of the Office of Management and Budget, and Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff for policy, are the men behind this.

The scary thing is that there is, so far, little or any opposition to these plans and only few warnings about their consequences.

I didn’t say you did, unless you are Kevin D. Williamson who you quoted for writing that.

I merely pointed out that the same can be said about any form of political governance and particularly that of the US whether Trump or the last administration and they are/were supposedly democracies.

He’s a conservative commentator so of course he will attack anything that concerns socialism or communism.

From what I can find “he briefly joined The Atlantic but his employment was terminated following public criticism of a 2014 Twitter discussion, in which he suggested hanging as a criminal punishment for abortion.”

So what is your point? It appears fairly obvious to me.

Either you are promoting his views, or constrasting his views with Lenins

Under communism everyone is in agreement. Those who are agreement incapable learned to adapt or were culled during the socialism phase.

Individualism has a price. When society cannot bear that cost something must be done.

You say, “Might is right” so therefore you also consent to every dictator, thug and strongman … and if you don’t do what you are told then … by your own standards … you are the one who is agreement incapable. That just means “disobedience” in normal language … an individual is someone with guts to have an original thought, rather than suck up what was given.

You don’t own any property … you just haven’t been stolen from yet.

You don’t own your body … it’s there waiting for someone more powerful, who might decide they need it.

Oh I see … you thought that somehow you would end up the boss man telling others what to do (ha ha they all think that when they start out) well sorry to explain it to you … but violence does not work that way … if you were powerful already, you would not need all the revolutionary slogans you would already be enjoying your authority. If you aren’t powerful then someone else is the boss, and you are the underling … and that’s how it stays … welcome to the Law of the Jungle, hope you received what you asked for.

Not quite what you were expecting? Hmmm, should have read the fine print before you signed up … unfortunately the Devil does not accept backsies.

Nearly eveything done by USA admin happens in the context of the precarious financial status of the Federal State.
Austerity and impoverishment of the lower income brackets are inevitable.
Social security + Medicare + Medicaid account for nearly half of the federal budget.
There will be need for better repression tools once the masses become restless.

How is Trump pushing back, when he backed and expanded the murderous policies of the previous administration and Israel in the Middle East? How does he stand against the globalist regime when he continued sand now owns the war in Ukraine despite a clear mandate to get out of it? How does he do all that when he opts to ratchet up the conflict with China and threaten directly Venezuela?

<=I agree the answers to these questions are in sync with what the Trump campaign promised..

There is a giant difference between America and the USA. America is bottom up culturally and religiously managed socially connected society, while the USA manages the Americans it governs by use an informed bureaucracy, top down imposed force of law and by use of force. A large part of that difference can be attributed to the secrecy the USA maintains and to the monopoly powers it bestows in its feudal support of the too big to fail and its oligarch owners.

Now you have resorted to playing the man and not the ball … another logical fallacy and unsporting to boot. I was hoping for better.

Let’s examine this statement, “same can be said about any form of political governance” … the implication is we can excuse the historical documented murders of communism because, after all, everyone else is equally bad and it’s impossible to achieve anything better.

That would be “false equivalence” I guess … but really I don’t believe it … and I think that in order to maintain any hope for the future we must reject this thinking.

There’s never been a perfect society but that doesn’t mean everything is equal and violent despotism must be accepted. Trump is also far from perfect … I doubt you can find a single Trump follower who can’t find at least a few things that Trump has done wrong. However most of the things that the radical anti-trump brigade grumble about were very much things they were happy with when someone else was doing it.

Gotta problem with Trump drone bombing at will without fair trial? Sure, did you also have a problem with Obama’s secret kill list … because Obama was the pioneer of this magical executive power. Trump is a monkey-see-monkey-do … he came to Washington trying to play nice with the other kiddies but he discovered actually they don’t wanna play nice. Now he fits in playing their game and their rules.

Did you stand up against Eric Holder and his dirty scheme to put guns in the hands of criminals, then destroy evidence when he got caught? Did you complain about weaponization of the IRS for political purposes? Can you at least accept that such things are not normal and they have resulted in a worse society than it was before?

Could we agree that perhaps real justice might be a good idea? Fair trials, openly displayed evidence, random jury, non-partisan judges, no tricks, no funny business … those things would represent a real benefit, right? Not all societies are equal no matter how barbaric but instead genuine principles matter.

That’s not saying, “Let’s all be pacifist and have fun getting stomped on” … but having principles does not need to mean being weak, it means staying on focus and having a purpose beyond tribalism. In addition, having principles is a tool to decide better from worse, without either unobtainable perfectionism or pointless nihilist “everything equals everything else” style thinking.

I don’t know much about “antifa”. This thread hasn’t provided much data about it. If Soros is behind it, why not charge and arrest him?  If he flees to Israel or North Korea or any other non-extraditable polity, sequestrate his assets etc. This should not be difficult. This won’t happen because Soros is part of this play. His links with Bessent are public.

The real enemy is not “antifa” but AIPAC. All you people whinging about “antifa” are saying nothing about AIPAC which is, by far the greatest enemy of US democracy. Everyone you vote for has been vetted by AIPAC  True American patriots know who the real enemy is

Maybe the US should proscribe AIPAC as a foreign agent and then a terrorist organisation?

Obama Biden diversity has a big support base.  US is a mess but looking in from the outside, what I see is pushback against the woke madness, but also payback for Russiagate and all the rest of the stuff that hobbled Trumps first term.

The Obama Biden crowd tried to retain a figleaf but otherwise cast away law and the countries constitution. What happens now, the outcome is anyones guess.

Some who should know better than plying such fake fascist shit stirring tropes.

For instance the ‘Pakistani’ groomers – NO they are BRITISH.
They just happen to live in confined ghettoes for generations,  controlled politically by the MAIN stream usual suspects, using Saudi funded madras’s…

There has always been nasty and even celebrated child rape in Britain! The Great didn’t happen without buggery on the high seas – we didn’t get to rule the waves without it!

Wouldn’t have lasted without the rum and lashing either. So masochism and sadism too as well as very long term elite exploitation of children especially boys in Britain. Mountbatten was blown up on his yacht because of what he was doing with Irish kids it is now more often said.

From the infamous rapist and murderers Hindley/Fred West ; to Concorra child homes, to many children’s homes; Sir Savile of the Children’s hospitals to many MPs and the actually very public promotion of the Paeodophile Information Exchange through to the 80’s… and the massive cover up that followed ever since. First by capturing the victims by having them call the bbc children in need helpline – fronted by the happy trusty mummy’s face of Esther Rantzen who herself was a groomed child to an older man!

Yup many thousands of the victims trapped into complaining and silenced ever since.

The ‘Child Abuse’ public inquiry never started, never to be finished,
All skeletons squeezed into the heaving cupboards.

And when the heat gets to warm – massive media splash stories of Migrant rapists! Epecially when there are some who were caught and tried by juries – including a load of police recently!

Squirrel pointing. Yeah them squirrels do exist but the herds of elephants in every room of British establishment are much much BIGGER.

As for the post, I agree with it: Trump is making dangerous and unprecedented dictatorial moves against freedom of speech and conscience; Antifa is an idea/approach, not some kind of unitary clandestine organisation; and in general, the ‘numerous leftist terrorists’ that Trump and his henchmen are talking about are fictional and a transparent pretext for dictatorial suppression of all opponents.
As for the comments, the number of fascists, Nazis and back-to-the-Middle-Ages reactionaries in them, and among fans of this blog in general, is horrifying. I suppose that it’s because the blog opposes Western hawkishness on Russia, and a large proportion of Westerners who oppose Western hawkishness on Russia do so out of fascism/reaction and love for Russia’s own fascist/reactionary tendencies (besides partisan spite in connection with the Dems’ Russiagate nonsense). This is a sad diagnosis of the current  condition of Western society.

Trump is waging war on the working class, not the other way around. Just look at his gutting of safety net policies and military/guard deployments to working class areas. Rural areas are too sparsely populated to make the political economic point that the strikes and guillotines better not come out.
The Dems mask it with mostly pretend or intentionally temporary fixes until the next more openly fascist GOP regime comes in and ratchets ir up the next irreversible click.
Moshik Temkin: “My best prediction is the Democrats will win back power in 2026 and 2028 and will then keep almost all of the authoritarian/militarized stuff that they are denouncing about Trump, all in the name of ‘bipartisanship and will then hand power right back to Republicans.” Hard to argue with this assessment and I’d add that they’ll likely use that inherited power against their own political dissidents on the Left…
Anticommunist radicalism and state violence on behal of oligarchs and owners didn’t die with the demise of state communism and the Cold War.
The “woke” bullshit is just a convenient cover for the ongoing war waged by the financial class on poor and working people.

What is fascism?Almost everyone thinks they know, but I’ll bet my entire stash of gold bullion that you cannot find a single “auntie fa” riot participant who can define it beyond something that essentially boils down to “People I don’t like!” Some might recite the memorized vocalization “The merger of state and corporate power!” or something similar that they don’t really understand and cannot really explain how it applies to the people they hate, but this regurgitation of phrases that represent ideas that don’t fit n their heads is better proof of their lack of comprehension that otherwise.

Fascism is such a nebulous concept, right? It’s so slippery and seems to evade definition. What religion is it? Shinto Japanese imperialists? Militant Buddhist Tibetan monks? sLimey Protestants? Head-chopping Muslims? LatAm death squad Catholics? Baby-raping Zionist Jews? Hindutva street-shitters? While religion always seems quite important to fascists, there is no common religion between the various fascist groupings. Likewise fascists are quite racially diverse, from KMT East Asians to Hutu Power sub-Saharan Africans to pale-faced ukro-Nazis. There is no unifying ideology either, with German Nazis pretending to be socialist while Argentinian fascists are adamantly the opposite.

How can you define such a beast beyond “bad people”?

Yet fascism can be defined clearly and concretely, but it is a phenomenon intimately tied to the structure of contemporary society; society which fundamentally is capitalist

Aside: The manner in which a society’s productive forces are organized and regulated defines that society and all of its relationships. A society’s economy is the foundation on which the society’s cultural superstructure is erected, so economic relations are reproduced fractal-like throughout the whole of society. The details of how this happens are fascination but too lengthy a discussion for a brief aside.

The executive power in capitalist society is held by capitalists. Capitalists direct the productive power of the rest of society to produce the material expression of that society. Capitalists are relatively few, and become even a smaller proportion of the society as capitalism matures. The rest of society allows them to dictate so long as their direction drives material improvements in society; however, as capitalist societies mature they are less able to provide material improvements for that society (tendency for rate of profit to decline… another fascinating discussion but too lengthy for this post).

So when capitalist society matures, capitalist population numbers dwindle and their mandate to rule weakens. A mechanism of coercion is needed to prevent the rise of alternate power structures in society that could challenge capitalist rule. Normally the capitalist class can buy off a portion of the working class with higher economic rewards and enhanced social status, and this portion of the working class (called “middle class” in the West, though from a Marxist perspective it is still working class) runs interference for the ruling (capitalist) class and disrupts efforts by the working class to organize alternate power structures in society.

But the ruling class has less ability to buy this loyalty as their rates of profits decline. A cheaper and more assertive mechanism of coercion is needed. This is where fascism comes in.

The task for the ruling class is to use the tools at their disposal (churches, education system, workplace management, civil authorities, and most importantly their mass media) to convince a portion of the population to violently oppose those who would challenge the ruling class (generally the working class). This portion of the population that is manipulated in such a way by the tools of the ruling class will be tasked with tearing down alternate power structures in society. Of course, this portion of the population being used by the ruling class may have no real beef with the working class, and most will be working class themselves, so a great deal of deception and “marketing” is required to compel them to take up arms against their own class. What works to motivate to violence a group in one environment will be different from what motivates another group in a different environment. Thus the recruitment spiel must be tailored for specific conditions, and the exact character of  the resulting fascist formations will naturally reflect those differences. The efforts to recruit fascists is actually no different from any other capitalist marketing campaign.

In essence, fascists are bully boy goons recruited by the ruling class to attack the working class.

How can one tell the difference between an alternate power structure to capitalism rising organically in society to capitalist-manufactured fascist goon squads recruited to destroy those alternate power structures?

Easy! While all of the other characteristics of fascist groupings change according to the situation, they always share two key features: They primarily target the working class, and they are always backed by big business mass media. For example, if the organization’s events are announced in the media ahead of time so that interested parties might attend, then you can know that the organization has been manufactured by the ruling class. Working class organizations will never get such free marketing airtime. Compare the Know Kings planned events, which are heavily promoted by mass media, with old Occupy Wall Street protests, or the anti Iraq war protests, which were never mentioned by the mass media until after they occurred.

If big business mass media is on your side, then you’re on the wrong side. 100% of the time. No exceptions. If the big business mass media is downplaying the violence from your “side”, then your side is the fascists, no matter what your side calls itself.

The remark about how so-called pro-life protesters are treated implies those people who try to intimidate women entering clinics (for any purpose, such as Pap smears, in many cases by the way) are legitimate protesters, rather than goon squads intimidating. That’s a damned lie. The number of so-called pro-life terrorists who bomb clinics or murder providers is dishonestly omitted as well. (Likely this number is larger than the number of supposedly left-wing terrorists.) Implying that government authorities that for once  try to do their jobs are somehow abusing innocents is outrageous dishonest.  It is true that such violence and intimidation is less common…because the authorities are taking up the oppression. Moral imbeciles like this who scream at the top of their lungs that the birth of an unwanted baby is a moral good give speech a bad rep.

Maybe 5% to 10%, but that is always the way it is with fascist organizations, isn’t it? Just because many are ignorant and mislead tools of big business rather then fully aware and knowing tools of big business doesn’t change what they are.

So-called anti-fascist groupings in the US are themselves fascists, despite their name, in exactly the same way that Nazis were anti-socialist, despite having socialist in their name. The name is part of the deception, and arguably the most important part of that deception. Note other fascist groupings referring to “Freedom” or “Democracy” when of course those are the farthest things from what they really stand for. It is just part of the marketing.

Posted by: Sal | Oct 17 2025 6:54 utc | 376  This is insane. The Democrats are the left. They’re not an organized party, so a few would-be leftists do lurk about. They are further to the left than Republicans, in that they tend to think that the government should provide services to the population, something that can never be assumed of any Republican. And they even tend to agree that the government should correct market problems, something you definitely should assume any Republican does not. In that very limited sense, well, yes, they are in fact left in the old French Revolutionary sense, where the Jacobins also thought those things were correct policy. Those issues are at the core of the continuity between left and right back then, and left and right today.

But times have moved on, there are other issues, such as the right to revolution, the need for a revolutionary government, universal suffrage (this one is no longer a Republican position, for those who haven’t noticed,) and other vitally important issues also have a continuity back to the times when the terms left and right were coined from the seating arrangements in the assembly. The Democrats are not left by those standards, never have been and never will be.

And frankly, the notion that somehow the Democrats in some weird sense deserved this or that? Life didn’t begin in 2012 when the horror of Obama’s election ruined America (if America stopped being great any other year, let me know.) Impeachment of a president on a dubious charge? Clinton, in a bogus lawsuit to either trap him into humiliating himself or slipping up on perjury charges which are almost never (as in, I don’t know of any) filed in a civil suit. Badmouthing Trump for security violations? Benghazi, email server, Clinton Ca$h. The whining brats who can dish it out but can’t take it are bad enough. Even worse are the upper-class twits and their sycophants who think the lower orders should never dare criticize them.

Life expectancy in the past are very skewed because of infant mortality-once you strip that out the number changes ‘bigly’!
You are way of base for English life expectancy of 30 years of age for 1900-it  was 47. (1)  If stripped of infant mortality it is around 75 for men and 73 for women at those times..

1. “In 1900, the average life expectancy in England was around 47 for men and 50 for women, with an overall average of approximately 46.1 years for England and Wales. These figures were significantly lower than today’s averages, largely due to high child mortality rates, but were showing a trend of improvement compared to earlier decades. ”

2. :England in 1900 would be much higher than the average 47 years at birth, potentially around 50-60 years, because the high rate of infant deaths was a major factor in lowering the overall life expectancy at birth. However, exact figures for 1900 are difficult to find, and data from the mid-Victorian period (a time with similar high infant mortality) shows life expectancy at age 5 was approximately 75 for men and 73 for women.”

A late note about Ayesha and Muhammad? Skipping over any issues about the wisdom of applying current trends in conventional piety to the past, much less sinful thoughts about violence maybe being worse than sexual impurity, I’m afraid I can think of at least two things that might put a different complexion. First, Ayesha may have claimed to have the marriage consummated to solidify her claim to be a true wife to Muhammad, to promote her political career. Yes, she had one. Second, alternatively, Muhammad may have claimed to have deflowered her rather than admit he was having trouble with all that. Note that neither explanation is impossible yet nor are they particularly respectful of Islam. A third possibility, which doesn’t address the modern standards about chronological age, does concede that it’s possible that Ayesha was pubescent when the marriage was consummated. If you think only age is relevant, it’s hard to see how it isn’t legal age is relevant. And as to that, Ayesha was evidently of legal age to get married. (And yes, nine years old is old enough for a female to have menses, which as I understand it often was considered a factor. Game of Thrones I think was right about that.)

Assuming “antifa” is a real, sufficiently large, powerful movement – with power to affect the actual system of economic rent extraction or impunity to inflict imprisonment, death and to wield meaningful threats of any of the above on a broad level – which it absolutely isn’t, let alone even a proven fucking thing that even AFFECTS anyone’s real “sense of safety” (you’re sounding like the fucking Zionist Jews at Ivy League schools now) – why even bring them into a conversation about fascism?
I am not even going to get into the melding of state and corporate power in ways that require the articulation of how and which large corporations and/or state industries are involved or how the interaction works (in the various iterations of such, often disagreed upon by historians or well versed readers).
Antifa has no place in any discussion about fascism EXCEPT as a manipulable tool BY fascists to increase their extant (and long-existing) power in the same ways previously mentioned over the “little guy” on behalf of the big guys.
Who fucking cares about “antifa” except someone with power or those who worship or seek favor with those in power to broadly and loosely define groups in a manner designed to perpetuate the ongoing systemic destruction of the poor and working class? I guess at least the massacres in the name of anticommunism haven’t started YET, right? Talk to some Indonesians, Chileans or Brazilians – oh wait, the ones who WERE actually ideologically and legitimately “left” are long dead as are enough other people accused of being such to the extent that it don’t matter anymore.
TL/DR? Why would ANY reputable, well read, morally/ideologically consistent working-class leftist or socialist give a FUCK what some nebulous group of ANARCHISTS (a notoriously EASY to infiltrate, denigrate, and maneuver) supposedly do, especially since what they DO do (doodoo) is primarily defined by the oligarchical class who owns the media and controls the government. UNLESS you realize that it’s a cover. A cover to continue long-running anti-socialist anti-communist (eventually) murderous dragnet policies to DESTROY the legitimate left (what’s LEFT of it).
There’s a truism voiced in different ways, but meaning the same thing, by leftists of the 50s and 60s in the “third world” – Why did so many of us resort to violence? Well, actually we didn’t. It’s just that those of us who chose to try to co-exist and seek change peacefully and through “democratic” or existing processes, unarmed, and without the premeditated use of force – WERE ALL FUCKING KILLED.
What has that paragraph got to do with Trump and the right’s characterization and definition of “antifa”? Very little except that it’s simply a smear like “communist” was in 1960s-1980s Indonesia, Brazil and other places where the oligarch class murdered all the real leftists, even the peaceful ones.

Not that it changes much but the Hamas genocide question is very revealing, IMO.

As I often point out, support for Zionism and genocide disqualifies one from being considered human.

What sort of human supports the industrial slaughter of another people for profit?

That question is for all Westerners.

All supposed Marxists who support America/Trump.

All Christians that support America.

To make that even more clear – why is it that when we talk about “leftists” or “communists” of that era it’s Che, the (militant wing of) the Sandinistas, Viet Cong, etc. we talk about and not the overwhelming majority of  leftists, communists and socialists? It’s because the latter were all fucking massacred (along with MILLIONS of others across SE Asia, Latin America and the Pacific who were not even ideologically motivated and were naturally unarmed), and all who remained realized that the only way to survive was to take up arms. So that’s why the prevailing “history written by the victors” emphasizes the “violent radical left” as though that’s all there really ever was.
The number of peaceful, uninvolved, unarmed civilians murdered by and with the assistance of the United States and post-colonial powers because they were accused leftists or communists DWARFS the already exaggerated (and lied about) number of alleged deaths in the Soviet Block by an order of magnitude or more.
Yes, I’m off the topic of “antifa” – but it’s part and parcel of the same thing. Who now are smeared as “America”, “capitalism”, “freedom” haters or (- or aka) “antifa” are the “communists” and “communist sympathizers” in Indonesia, Brazil, Guatemala, El Salvador, etc. of the mid 20th century. WORDS HAVE MEANING when brute force and murderous violence can be brought to bear behind them. And any self-identifying “leftist” in the US who a) gives a flying fuck ab0ut “antifa” or b) doesn’t realize that the designation (even self-imposed) is often astroturf bullshit and/or c) a convenient way for right-wing willing murderers or wielders of state violence to smear ALL leftists with the use of a poisoned moniker.

Even the war hawk John Bolton (think: Trump I and Bush I & II administration) has been targeted by the Trump regime. His house was raided by the FBI and he is now indicted. Bolton has turned against Trump after Biden was elected.

No, you were obliged to be injected with unknown substances and not enter the streets and if you did it anyway you would have to wear a mask as a token to prove your submission.  Posted by: Norwegian | Oct 17 2025 7:32 utc | 388
I’ve been forced to wear masks along with uncomfortable footwear, hats that make a permanent ring around my head, long sleeve shirts and pants in hot weather, gloves on my hands and protective eyewear since I was 16 … it’s called PPE and if you think it’s some sort of oppression to wear a mask look up “COPD” and see if you’d prefer to be free to engineer one of the most miserable deaths imaginable.
Millions of guys working in industry and construction have to put up with wearing PPE and you don’t hear them whining like a little bitch but you have to wear a mask to protect old people from your fetid breath for a couple of months and you whine like you’ve been sent to the death camps. Grow a fucking pair.

The Republican-Democrat squabbling on display with some shows how most USAans are missing the point.
As expressed elsewhere, we are in the midst of quite a hopeless economic tsunami that threatens to wash away everything, and here people are talking about domestic terrorism that scarcely exists, as seen by the great rarity of incidents, all of them caused by a very few individuals.
Our views are going to be overtaken by events.
The main focus for me is imperialism: That is what is actually mass murderous. No more votes for imperialists ever. Since 1945, imperialism has killed millions directly and indirectly.
The issue in the US is the continuing imperialist hold on US foreign policy. The imperialist elite span the two parties. Are the likes of Adam Schiff and Charles Schumer any better than the repulsive traitor Tom Cotton and Lindsay Graham, or vice versa? Certainly not. It appears the only persons in Congress who are antiimperialist on both the Ukraine and Israel are Thomas Massie and now Marjorie Taylor Greene and a few others, a maybe. That gives them a 50% pass with me automatically regardless of other views they have with which I might disagree.
If support for imperialism, interventionism (including so-called “humanitarian” interventionism), and foreign adventurism could be eliminated, then the US would have the resources to reverse or at least slow its downward slide. But it seems more likely that the evil duopoly would rather blow up the world than lose power, or at least turn on the US public rather than lose power, as exemplified by the congressman who threaten to nuke the US people if they revolted.
Unfortunately, the ruling elite keep up a constant drumbeat of misinformation, and they will never help the commoners to know what to do to oppose the elite, so the commoners fall back on the only ideological resource that they have, which is nationalism, and that is certainly a weak straw to  lean on. In the US, nationalism is particularly weak because so ill-defined.

Trump will be gone in 3.5 years, and the Blob will fight him and fund opposition to him, and may murder him, or try to. Not much to worry about here.

But the Blob is to worry about. Deporting illegal aliens is the law. Oppose that, and you are lawless. Oppose it violently, and you will be dealt with. End of.

After Trump goes, the Blob can purchase open borders again, although it will still be against the law.

This new comment system is giving me trouble and compounding my already present tendency not to finish thoughts in a single sentence…
“And any self-identifying “leftist” in the US who a) gives a flying fuck ab0ut “antifa” or b) doesn’t realize that the designation (even self-imposed) is often astroturf bullshit and/or c) a convenient way for right-wing willing murderers or wielders of state violence to smear ALL leftists with the use of a poisoned moniker – is either a fraud, a plant, or simply historically ignorant.
The reason “the left” in Latin America and Asia (and the ME for that matter) is remembered/regarded as “violent” (when in reality US backed terror/goon squads were the real perps – along with just a general tendency of money buying silence and complicity) is because before those movements took the limelight, all the peaceful, good faith, and I’d say GULLIBLE leftists in those places were MASSACRED.

Posted by: William Gruff | Oct 17 2025 14:01 utc | 451  It is always incredibly annoying when right-wingers pretend to Marxism. The comments on fascism are null and void, because they don’t mention imperialism. The bourgeoisie not being able to buy off the working class as the cause of fascism? They couldn’t buy off the working class back in the fifteenth and sixteenth and seventeenth centuries either. That’s why they made class compromises with the aristocracy/monarchy, generally called in Europe absolutism, with the governing ideology of mercantilism, rather than liberalism. Fascism appeared in countries either defeated or sharply disappointed in WWI, usually after the left was defeated, permitting the fascists to come to power. The left was defeated in the US back in so-called McCarthyism, but the relative decline in the US empire is more recent, hence the move of the US bourgeoisie to fascism, aka Trump. Marx’s analysis, despite Bernstein, held up for world economy quite well I think. But I do believe that neither Marx nor Engels were magical prophets who should have foreseen fascism, which came decades after they died.

If big business mass media is on your side, then you’re on the wrong side. 100% of the time. No exceptions. If the big business mass media is downplaying the violence from your “side”, then your side is the fascists, no matter what your side calls itself.

There is no big business mass media. There’s business propaganda spewed out at the masses, breathless reports on stock markets with mind reading about the wherefores and whyfores and so on. And there are venues actually aimed at businessmen, but they are not truly mass media. But let’s pretend for a moment that there is, though I doubt this fraud could link to them. All you have to do is pretend the big business mass media is downplaying the violence on this side or that. This is largely an exercise in determining that of course the left is violent and that the police are being attacked, so that if the big business mass media is conceding much violence by ICE (for example) but not much by the people (here, aka the so-called left,) then obviously the fascists are the people and we supposedly know this because some special person has consulted their navel, and seen it. This process if much facilitated by said big business mass media being imaginary.

In truth of course, generalizations can be difficult and even honest interlocutors can make mistakes. On top of that however, whatever the reporters may want, the editors knows what their customers (the ones who buy their advertising, hence, not the poors.) If they want to minimize the violence by the cops—SOP—but let enough out to provoke outrage on the grounds that you never let a good crisis go to waste, and if you don’t have one, make one, then that’s what they’ll do. This is a kind of conspiracy thinking, but one that suggests the conspiracy is coordinated by balance sheets, not secret meetings.

One other point to address Roger Boyd’s article about the nationalists versus the globalists in the elite: Where does that leave the Zionists? Persons like Ben Shapiro and Bari Weiss are just Zionists, and, unlike other types in the fray, who are confusing, confused, and complicated, the Zionists are easy to explain: They are Israeli (or pro-Israeli) nationalists. Therefore, it would be incorrect to call Shapiro and Weiss traitors to the US, because they have never had a scintilla of loyalty to the US in the first place, being simply Zionists. They believe in and practice merely exploiting and instrumentalizing the US in the interests of Israel; were it in Israel’s interest for the US to be completely annihilated, they would support that. If they have dual citizenship with Israel, they should always be described as Israelis and as foreign agents in the US, never as Americans.

Given the prevalence of such persons among the Zionists and their deep intertwining in the US elite and government, they ought to be a central point of concern. They try to attach themselves to both parties but have become unwelcome with the Democratic commoners and are becoming unwelcome with the Republican commoners as well, for their Zionism is incompatible with US nationalism and indeed inimical to the US. Israel has never been a foreign-policy asset to the US, only a liability. But the Zionists, like a number of other foreign states, have been able to latch onto US foreign policy, encourage US imperialism, and sic the US on their own local enemies in various parts of the world, all of it to the vast detriment of the US. They did not start US overseas imperialism, which began loudly in 1898 with the Spanish American War, but they have greatly exploited  it.

For the US right to come clean, it has to dump imperialism, which quite a few in it have done.

The right and their messaging machine also cannot seem to make their minds up as to WHY people migrate to the US. Sometimes it’s because “the US is so great and the best country on earth and they want to integrate and be GOP voting Americans!” other times it’s because “they want to escape the (usually socialist, under Uncle Scam’s jackboot and portrayed as “authoritarian”) third world hellhole they are from but will never fully integrate! And yet other times it’s a combination of one aspect of each and another of the other.

At the end of the day, however, now that it’s well into the 21st century, and Trump and Miller have openly said they want to prioritize “white” in-migration, it’s pretty obvious that “brown” people just aren’t “white” enough yet. Maybe one day like our own Irish, Italian and other European formerly non-white, non-WASP ancestors, they will be considered “white” – but maybe not.

Either way, just have your papers ready when asked.
