many great conversations are being had here at moa.. thanks everyone!

it occurred to me ( i am slow on the uptake )  the trump presidency is implementing IDF policies… the ICE is essentially functioning now like the IDF.. how much of this is intentional??  i’d be curious to hear from others their impression about this parallel..  it seems pretty obvious to me.. read ‘roaming changes’ article above for insight..

There are some English language news channels on youtube. They are nuts, worse than the American tv generals. Hindutva – RSS and its nazi influence.

Modi seems to know whats going on in the world with the recent turn to China but the tv talking heads will whip up the multitudes.

The Americans want to use India against China though where trump is headed at the moment I have no idea. Perhaps Trump realizes the main thing now is just to try and desperately keep the collapsing US economy afloat or perhaps he is trying to collapse it.

Putin in an interview was asked about Yeltsin and Gorbachev. He said that in the last years of the Soviet Union, the leadership all realized that a change was required, but none new how to go about that change. Perhaps that is where the US is at. None know anything other than the hegemonic empire, yet those in the nationalists camp at least know change is required.

No. Central banks have been buying up gold for a number of years. A lot of gold is being taken out of circulation to sit in the vaults of those central banks. Shanghai physical metals exchange is likely buggering up London’s business model.

Gold is not oversold. It is the US Dollar that is vastly oversold.
The price of Gold is simply reflecting that fact.

Sorry Peter but you are wrong and Clever dog is correct but not sure about the percent.  The bankers have been hypothecating gold since 1971 while suppressing its price to hide their financial perfidy.

Whats up b, any updates on transferring old comments? Also hope health is good after last years travails.

Also can you quickly elucidate on comments that go missing after showing up as being posted?
Is that a bug or are you modding? Some blog sites tend to show the modded comment to the poster only with a moderators message before removing that too.
Asides from that looks like the transfer went well and is stable.  Hearty congrats.

Trying to make a non-HTTPS link to the paper “persiflo” tried to link to in the “A preemptive Putin-Trump call…” thread.

Text link (copy-paste manually if needed):
http://www.jp-petit.org/nouv_f/2022-05-09%20MHD%20to%20Scientific%20American.pdf

Ordinary/site link “2022-05-09 MHD to Scientific American”.

Hopefully nothing transforms it to HTTPS (which will then likely fail due to some SSL error on the site of Jean-Pierre Petit).

Interesting guy, I was not aware of the link to “Ummoism” (aaaliunz! Pew pew whooomph wub wub wub! (I have no right to joke but can’t resist, it is not meant as ridicule, less said by me the better for now, I am actually supportive)) (search his name in this Wikipedia page —so many rabbit holes, so little time, and I’m busy digging my own too lol) nor the/his “Janus cosmological model”. I’m not sure how strongly he links these things but maybe one can find out at this site (note this too is a non-HTTPS link) at http://www.jp-petit.org (mostly in french).

He doesn’t have an English-language Wikipedia page but he does have a French one (and my very meager french was enough to understand most of it): Jean-Pierre Petit.

Posting here because I have next to zero energy and haven’t read the entire relevant thread or anything else really. Maybe someone else already did all of this :3

No more editing; I hope the links work, doing it manually worked for me.

Oh btw, Heidelberg “persiflo”? Impressive! I have no such qualifications (nobody is surprised lol) XD

Dungroanin from the Trump Putin thread.

Late last year I went down due to severe phosphorus deficiency. I stupidly crawled or dragged myself to my phone when it rang. My mate asked me how I was going and I said I was a bit thirsty. All I wanted was a drink of water. My mates sat me on a chair and brought me cups of water. Then my sister flew over. She was in cahoots with them. See a doctor blah blah. I tried to live again for her. Had detected my last food intolerance just before I went down.

The chemicals my immune system reacts to wipes out most food groups. There is a couple of nutrient mixes that can be bought over the counter here. They both contain canola oil which is high in the essential lipids. Canola oil also contains a chemical I react to.

To get a nutrient mix it seems I have to see a doctor and get a prescription. No way I will see those fuckers any more. Not one has ever diagnosed anything. Autoimmune is unknown in the medical world. The deepest depths of depression always came during and after seeing seeing a doctor. Useless fuckers.

I now have a balanced mineral mix which I made myself and also a balanced digestive electrolyte mix I made myself. Balanced digestive electrolytes are critical when gut problems arise. Yuppi electrolytes for sweating are no good.

With phosphorus, my four remaining half rotted teeth have stopped rotting. Wallnut oil gives me essential lipids. A litre of whisky a day gives me carbs. For those that go down on a sniff of grog, take molybdenum. That makes the alcoholic world go round. Essential for converting ethanol into glucose.
It also allows your body to metabolise malic acid. Malic acid is critical for the second stage of the conversion process. Low on malic acid you will get ‘hangovers’. The stuff in your blood will pickle your brain. For a hangover, take marlic acid. Apples and core fruits, the main acid is malic acid. Grapes the same. Ripe pineapple is also high in it.

@Peter AU1 #9
Gold is absolutely oversold. The core defects with the gold bug theories are:

  1. That anyone is going to go to a fully gold back currency.
    1. Ain’t gonna happen. No government with even 1/4 of a brain, would do this.
  2. That central banks will switch all their reserves over to gold.
    1. False premise 1 – that CB reserves will convert to gold in all or for the most part
      1. Reserves exist for several purposes:
        1. Liquidity for trade – national currencies are not going away, so at least some, if not most, of existing national currency holdings in CBs will remain
        2. Settlement of trade imbalances – more on this later
    2. False premise 2 – that all trade must be backed by gold, or in other words the trade reserve will be gold
      1. Treasuries, in the global trade sense now, are used to hold “profits” from trade.
        1. This part likely would switch to gold.
        2. How much is this? It is certainly a fraction of the existing CB balances – which total a bit over $4T now. So max $2T, probably less.
      2. But the bigger part is settlement of trade imbalances ie when one nation is running a massive trade deficit – its trade counterparties have surpluses. Bretton Woods used gold as the final, agreed upon mechanism to create feedback against extended surpluses. The point though is that it is the surplus amounts, not the overall trade number and the surplus number is a lot lower.
        1. The top 20 trade deficit nations, headed by the US by A LOT, total probably under $1 trillion a year.
        2. And obviously, with a real feedback mechanism to trade surpluses like gold, the trade deficits will fall.
    3. Sanity check
      1. So if we look at the above numbers – $2T or less for the trade profits, $1T or less a year for trade deficits, scaling down over time and compare to the existing total value of gold in the world today: $29.7 trillion <- which was less than half of that, 18 months ago
        1. Does this look like gold is going to keep going up because of trade/trade reserve/trade profit/trade settlement reasons? Doesn’t look like it to me.
      2. Let’s look at this another way: how much liquidity is sloshing around due to the extended money printing of the last multiple decades?
        1. The US alone has printed on the order of $15 trillion in the last 20 years
        2. EU – comparable although less
        3. China – $40 trillion <- note I have said repeatedly that China has printed more than anyone else. Here is the data.
        4. Some significant percentage of this printed money, is sloshing around the financial system today. And more and more of it is going into gold. So yes, the rise of BRICS, the de-dollarization is a factor but IMO, the masses of printed money are the bigger factor.

Posted by: c1ue | Oct 19 2025 17:24 utc | 21

IMO, stating that something is oversold means the price has been hammered down to below its intrinsic value.

Gold is at all time new highs.

Posted by: arby | Oct 19 2025 17:27 utc | 22

One could say that Gold is overbought .

Western medical fad and fashion crapping on about salt and low salt is good. A large proportion of human adults suffer magnesium deficiency even though dietary magnesium is sufficient.

One of my mates, his face would go bright red when he got angry. Was running his own business and got angry often. At one point, he told me he had sore teeth. I told him to take magnesium. A few weeks later he told me that works. He also stopped getting as angry and when he did, his face no longer went bright red.

Sodium magnesium balance is critical. Sweat is mostly sodium and chloride but few work up a sweat in the modern world. Up till WWII era at least, those in the hotter parts of empire were given salt tablets. Sodium and chloride.

Now there is lots of stupid yuppie drinks. But balanced electrolytes for whatever life you are leading is critical.

Canada Flying in Lockstep With the United States

https://canadiandimension.com/articles/view/canada-flying-in-lockstep-with-the-united-states

“During his campaign for prime minister, Mark Carney vowed that the era  of ‘deepening integration’ between the Canadian and US militaries was ‘over.’

The Carney government’s recent actions, however, including near certain purchase of US-made F-35s reveal his campaign promises for what they were: a calculated rug pull.

Rather than insulating Canada from an increasingly unpredictable White House, Carney’s policies appear to have reinforced Canadian alignment with the US in military, economic, and foreign policy matters. Diplomatically, meanwhile, Carney is full of praise for Trump, who last month reiterated his desire to annex Canada to the United States…”

This is a copy and paste from what I have written down. Not sure how it will come up on the platform but the top block is the electrolytes.
Chloride is not in this, but it must always be equal to potassium or sodium whichever is highest.  If you live in hot climes and sweat like a tropical thunderstorm, the mix will be different. Potassium chloride, sodium chloride, the chloride gives the sharp salty taste.
I’m not sure how to balance magnesium with heavy sweating and the required sodium intake. Teeth are probably the best indicator.

Peter Hatch, a senior official in ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations, testified that “most” of the names on a list of students for his agency to investigate came from Canary Mission’s website.

Canary Mission does not appear to be a registered nonprofit organization in the United States or Israel, and its funding sources are mostly unknown.

The organization is mentioned in a handful of other organizations’ U.S. filings.

In 2016, the Helen Diller Foundation, controlled by the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, earmarked $100,000 for “Canary Mission for Megamot Shalom” in a grant to the Central Fund Of Israel, an American nonprofit. The earmark recorded in a tax filing was one of the first public clues about who operates Canary Mission in Israel and how it is funded…

…Drop Site has also identified at least one Trump administration staffer who seems to know these important Canary Mission players:

A former Ted Cruz and Ron DeSantis staffer follows Jeffrey Mark, Kim Bash and Rosenblatt on his personal social media. That staffer, David Milstein, is now Senior Advisor to U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.

Recent reporting revealed that Milstein has become an influential pro-Israel factor in the State Department, editing official communications and reportedly helping to fire a State Department official who veered from an official State Department talking point about the forced removal of Palestinians from Gaza.

Milstein did not respond to messages from Drop Site.

Canary Mission is likely to continue being influential in the Trump administrations’ crackdowns on speech and immigration.

This month the group has latched onto the growing policing of free speech, following the murder of Charlie Kirk, that has targeted pro-Palestine advocates using their views about Kirk and his death.

Meanwhile, wealthy Americans continue to donate to Canary Mission through these murky channels, essentially creating a conduit for direct government influence in the State Department and the highest levels of US government, without any transparency about the donors and their aims.

In the interests of financial literacy, Overbought and Oversold have generally accepted definitions:
https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/121214/what-are-best-indicators-identify-overbought-and-oversold-stocks.asp

Being overbought, as is the current case for gold and silver, does not mean the price will not go higher still. Similarly oversold assets can still go lower.

The Bottom line:
Both the relative strength index and stochastics have strengths and weaknesses, and the indicators are best used in combination with other tools designed to establish optimal buy and sell points. Lastly, there are times when a stock, commodity, or market can stay overbought or oversold for a considerable time period before a reversal. Therefore, overbought or oversold signals from RSI or stochastics can sometimes prove premature in strong trending markets.

The Guardian has a report today about so-called fight-clubs, consisting of neo-fascists and nazis. It’s mostly about US and Canada but nevertheless rather striking that they don’t mention nazified Ukraine with one word. They do mention Europe, though, in passing & rather bland.

Here.

Yes, the financial theatre of our civilization war is ready to become the climactic Ouroboros moment in the downfall of Western empire (my God Of Mammon cult).
54 years of fiat money and now the settling with intrinsic value money like silver and gold, etc. that have been manipulated down in price all these years to cover for the hidden loss of value of fiat money.

Let intrinsic value price discovery begin again after 54 years.

Gold is overbought using any standard market measure, RSI, MACD, etc. Nothing goes up in a straight-line forever, there can be very severe shakeouts in an up market. The exchange can also greatly increase margin levels to force weak hands to sell to drive a correction (as it did this weekend, we will see if that works), usually done at very overbought levels. This is not saying that Gold cannot go higher, but be careful of leverage and very nasty shakeouts. C1UE does not know what he is talking about, utterly misusing terms that are well known and widely used.

The fundamental problem within the Outlaw US Empire is the complete lack of the Rule of Law–the basic need for no entity to be allowed to rise above it–and that lack has existed since it was settled by Europeans who brough their concept of very twisted law with them–some had rights while too others had none. And that issue lies at the bottom of my article, although I didn’t articulate it in such an exacting manner as I substituted the concept of Liberty to be congruent with those I cited. No Kings is a cry for the establishment of the Rule of Law, which we say we have but we don’t–Trump’s murders in the Caribbean Sea suffice as proof as does his abetting genocide and his attacks on Iran and Yemen to name the most obvious.  And as we saw, the protests were global since many understand the Outlaw nature of America and the need for it to be arrested for its conduct.

That title of your article. No Kings. In five-eyes I understand the nature of what we are and where our land came from. My forebears were shipped out here in British emigration schemes for the poor.

But after the revolution, people flocked to the US for the title of your piece. The American constitution was something that set the US apart in bygone times. Here in oz, and in canada and in nz, the hereditary monarch is head of state. Even the slaves of jamaica still call the monarch head of state.

This stupid shit about democracy when we live under a hereditary heady of state. The hypocrisy of the system blows the mind. The mass media is like the pied piper leading the little children away.

There is a theory that nothing about this is accidental. The current 80 year run of the USD as world reserve currency, exceeds the life span of past reserve currencies. The estimated $330 trillion overhang of global public and private debt is not serviceable in a low growth economy.

The so-called Great Reset with Central Bank digital currencies is coming, like it or not.

Thanks for your reply. Within the Rule of Law Ideal there’s the Ideal written in Genesis that man is made in God’s image and thus all are equal in the eyes of God and thus also in regard to God’s Laws. Note how short that was practiced. Soon after its gestation, Christianity became an Exceptionalist Religion where only the correct types of Christians were God’s likeness. And that seems to be how most religions have evolved from their initial Ideal to a state of lawless absurdity. The Buddha rejected the idea that he be worshiped like a god. The Chinese system never developed a god aside from all Nature being godly including their metaphysics. China also appears to have done the best job of combining Natural Law with Human Law so that in their system no one is allowed to rise above the Rule of Law which is the key requirement for Harmony’s existence. The West’s dysfunction can easily be traced to the gross lack of the Rule of Law for several thousands of years and is now evidenced daily. I see Xi Jinping’s Global Governance Initiative as an effort to make the Rule of Law Universally Paramount for the first time in human history. And therein lies the basis for the conflict between the West and the Rest.

Gold.

My sister and mate have some money invested in shares. I thinkm my sister did sometime later when her world began to look shaky and gold had started to climb. Not sure if my mate every did. They both have good health and will likely live for another decade or two. I have never asked strait out if either has actually bought physical gold. Small stuff with mint stamps is the go. An investment or if everything goes to shit in this collapsing empire, small stuff with mint stamps will be currency.

I agree that a big chunk of liquidity is going into fiat cryptomoney which will go poof when the music stops and any money left will go into precious metals then.

I much appreciate your reply Karl. A lot in that.

I do not have a spiritual bone in me. In my conversations wit my sister, it struck me that many require a god, a spirit world. Fear of death I guessd. Here in the west, the family breaks down and there is nothing so people want life after death. I look at the spiritual stuff. The ethnic Russians are orthodox Christians. Putin reinstated the religions of the Russian federation. Soviet Union was atheist.

juliania here, the ultimate Christian – Constantinople not Rome. The west, catholic or protestant came out of Rome. Kissinger’s Westphalia and the holy roman empire.
In China painting hanging on the walls. So many looked like mist flowing through valleys. I asked about them, but the answer was mystical.

So many people the world over have a spiritual side that requires fulfilling. I did not realise that until late in life and conversing with my sister.

I do not believe in destiny, but where my life has led me through life has given me cause to doubt. If there is a god, he must be bloody crazy to keep me going for so long.

At first, the Dems and the organized anti-DJT libs shielded Antifa as a protect-at-all-costs sacred cow.  After that they insisted that Antifa does not exist as a group but only as an idea.

But here’s Sec Bessent: “When you see these groups where all the printed signs match, or they have hundreds of the very same umbrellas for both hiding their identities but also warding off pepper spray, you’re seeing the organization beneath the props. These groups also have the same lasers for blinding our police force… This takes a lot of money, it takes a lot of planning and coordination. We don’t know how much of this is being supported from overseas. We don’t know how much support is coming from U.S. non-profits. This is mission-critical for us now. Just like after 9/11 and Osama bin Laden… we are operationalizing this through Treasury, and we are going to track down who is responsible for bankrolling it.”

Gonna be hard to hide all those orders for navy blue umbrellas…

What Sec Bessent didn’t mention is the pile of money that keeps bailing the Antifa terrorists out of jail after they’re arrested.

  • 1) Antifa is a terrorist organization,
  • 2) they are well structured
  • 3) they are obviously well funded.

Democrats and the organized anti-DJT libs, including media outlets like CNN and NBC, want Antifa out there on the streets.  They see Antifa as valuable thugs (“our bastards”)who intimidate and terrorize to the benefit of their political agenda.

i found your entire article interesting, and also the follow-up, but I’ll only comment on one minor thing. You named two things Americans associate with liberty: “Lady Liberty and the Liberty…”

I was sure you were going to say “… Bell” but I had to look up “Liberty Cap” that I hadn’t known even had a name. (Learn something new every day.) But about that Liberty Bell, also often featured on American coins: I find it very fitting that it’s cracked, having been cast by an incompetent in a shape that can’t ring without breaking itself. Perfectly symbolic of American liberty.

“…Soon after its gestation, Christianity became an Exceptionalist Religion where only the correct types of Christians were God’s likeness…”

Posted by: karlof1 | Oct 19 2025 23:00 utc | 61

This is false, karlof1!  There were always true Christians, always!  It doesn’t matter that there were people who took Christianity and subverted it, popularized those subversions and persecuted those who followed Christ.  There were people of faith who practised what Christ taught, who did their best to pass on traditions from the earliest days and others who followed those teachers.

I had one such teacher, so I know.  He built our church and named it for the Dormition of the Mother of Christ.  He even died on the eve of that very feast, when the Vespers of the great Feast would have been sung if his little flock had not been gathered at his deathbed.  Even though he was Russian down to his toes,   he never  set foot in Russia.  He was born in Constantinople, (it was not yet named Istanbul when he was born), so proud of that fact because for Russians, Constantinople was the home of the great Hagia Sophia and the height of Christian worship and Christian philosophy was in that city.

Our church was very humble indeed, but the most beautiful place to stand in the presence of  God I have ever been in during my lifetime.  For me it was coming home,  and it still is,  even though it is no longer physically present on earth.  It is my central space, my being truly myself,  and it doesn’t matter if there is an earthly king or not  —  I’ve lived in both, an earthly kingdom and now a democracy;  and a good king is the same as a good democracy as far as I can tell.  Christianity teaches that the true kingdom in which heaven touches earth  resides within every person.  Others name the way to  it differently; that is fine.  I do not judge.

If you haven’t yet come home spiritually speaking, do not despair.  It will happen.  Not perhaps the way it happened for me  — I do not see my journey as one that can be repeated  these days.  But an interior awakening is possible for everyone and as Dostoievski believed so do I, that every human being will,  in the fullness of eternal intention,  come to his or her own fullness of being.  That is the meaning of Divine Providence:  it is for all.  Nobody’s exceptional – we are all in the image of God when we are at our best, which isn’t necessarily being an expert at anything, though it’s wonderful so many of us here are knowledgable in what works, how better we can understand our world.

Christians are not exceptionalists.   Our liturgy says that God loves mankind, not just Christians, and He wants everyone to  reach their full potential,  even the worst of us who have made many mistakes, as we all have done.  In mysterious ways that is being accomplished, and it is not only Christians who were purposed and are destined  to achieve this but all of mankind!  Look into the liturgies that the church fathers authored for us to follow: “…who loves mankind and desires all to be saved”.  That’s basic.  Not today, not next week or year or century … why create us otherwise?

Thank you, karlof1,  for your many gifts,   as also thanks to b and to the contributors here.   Ap0logies for my inadequate explanations and my eccentricities.  I am an odd one I know, but I am not alone!  There are many like me.  We just try to do the next good thing,  and if it doesn’t turn out well,  at least we try and that counts.   So please, just laugh me off if you want to;   I won’t mind.

China replaces negotiator Li Chenggang at WTO, UN after Bessent spat

October 20, 2025 13:30 JST
SHANGHAI — Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday removed Li Chenggang, Beijing’s top trade negotiator, from his posts at the World Trade Organization and United Nations.

The move comes days after U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent publicly complained about Li, and just ahead of an expected round of U.S.-China talks in Malaysia. It was not immediately clear whether the personnel change would affect Li’s role in the trade war negotiations between the world’s two largest economies.

Li Yongjie will take over for Li Chenggang as China’s permanent representative to the WTO and deputy permanent representative to the U.N., according to state broadcaster CCTV. Li Yongjie previously served as director-general of the WTO legal division within the Ministry of Commerce.

Singtao, a Hong Kong newspaper, had reported in July that Li Yongjie was set to replace Li Chenggang at the WTO, suggesting the shuffle may be unrelated to the recent tensions.

The US and China will hold talks later this week in Malaysia. Their trade truce nears expiration on Nov. 10.  A situation made more tense by the Nexperia shenanigans.

Latest trend in the US. People are buying massive amounts of nickel coins, based on them being 75% copper and 25% nickel of their weight.
While their melt value is still lower than the face value, this may not be the case for ever as US congress will evenually approve the US Mint request to dilute the alloy of the coin. That will then make old style nickels having higher metal content rare, like happened historically with gold and silver coin debasement.

1. The Lawfare Project

A nonprofit organization focused on combating anti-Semitism through legal avenues and public relations strategies.

2. StandWithUs

An educational organization that advocates for Israel and opposes boycotts and delegitimization of the state.

3. AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee)

Although not a direct link, AIPAC’s advocacy aligns with the goals of groups that support initiatives like Canary Mission.

4. The David Horowitz Freedom Center

Known for its aggressive stance against what it considers anti-Zionist activities in academia.

5. The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA)

Engages in advocacy and education regarding Jewish and Israeli interests; may support similar initiatives.

These organizations typically emphasize educational campaigns, legal actions, and advocacy aimed at protecting Israel from criticism and supporting Jewish communities globally.

If you’re interested in the operational specifics or funding details, let me know!
<=end of AI: I don’t have any particular problem with private parties funding global community interest  (Jewish or not)  but I am against any taxpayer money, tax benefit, grant or resource sharing with government or with organizations granted tax exempt status finding its way to support or benefit any foreign anything and I believe any organization that supports a foreign interest should register as a agent of that foreign interest.

IMO, Organizations that offer supporters tax deductions against USA tax liability for contributions made by their donor are benefiting from public money because the tax on that contribution, except for the exemption, belongs to the US Treasury.

.. IMO, Non profits transferring money to foreign places or that are engaged in projects outside of USA governed America should not be granted tax exempt status.
thanks for the link interesting reading.

Your characterisation of the Early US does not give justice to the circles of Alexander Hamilton. His thinking was more like current China than like its mother country Great Britain.
Hamilton favoured means to train and practise creativity creating new industries and so forth. At the time Britain was more like the US today.

Like karlof1 you dont give justice to the nation building instincts and its applications of Alexander Hamilton. The elites have totally obscured his real role claiming he was the beginning of Wall street.
He was killed by Britains stooge Aaron Burr otherwise he would have continued his good work
One source: Nancy Bradeen Spanaus Alexander Hamilton versus Wall Street
Another source: Who we are. vol I by Anton Chaitkin.
Reading them you get to know what so called established historians have hidden from the public. Keeping americans dumbed down. Having no idea about the potential of the early US.

I generally scan a couple of twitter accounts each day looking for various reports from the media. Save me having to scan the trash.

The war against Russia has ended. Trump shouting down piano man telling him he had to negotiate or be destroyed.
A British general going public in an interview and saying Russia has won.

Piano man is now dead meat. He will be killed and I doubt by the Russians.

That’s all fascinating stuff … I have frequently wondered about why doctors give so little information on vitamins and/or diet and why some people easily shrug off hangovers.

What I have been able to discover is that taking NAC has greatly reduced my tendency towards a hangover. It’s another of those “secrets” hiding in plain sight. The NAC is metabolized and it creates an enzyme called Glutathione (GSH for short) which is an excellent antioxidant and protects your liver against all sorts of things (including alcohol). Even people who do not drink alcohol probably have some oxidative stress from something they consume.

Then I found out there’s another one: Selenoglutathione (GSeH for short) which is chemically similar only the Sulphur is swapped for Selenium which is a closely related atom … Sulphur lives one floor down below Oxygen on the Periodic Table; then Selenium lives another floor down from that just below Sulphur. In most cases, Selenium can substitute for Sulphur, especially when it comes to antioxidant work.

Then you have the nutrient Selenomethionine which can metabolize into Selenocysteine … both an antioxidant in its own right, but most importantly an amino acid building block for a bunch of selenoproteins which are really useful and often do the job of enhanced versions of many normal proteins.

The multivitamin that Aldi started selling back in 2020 has both Molybdenum and also Selenomethionine … at a very reasonable price.

Then there’s Pocari Sweat, from Japan which is an excellent drink that does indeed contain Malic Acid and IMHO about the best of the electrolyte drinks.

I  was happy to read Michael Hudson’s side comment on Christianity just now.  Thank you, karlof1 for linking to his transcript at his site or I would have missed it.  Here is that comment:

“…  For President Putin, and for much of the world, their idea of Christianity is what’s left of the original Christianity: Eastern Orthodoxy, the Greek and Russian Orthodox Church. Putin and the Russian speakers continually talk about the attack by Roman Catholicism, starting in the 11th century, to create the Crusades to destroy Byzantium — the Byzantine Empire — to destroy the Eastern Orthodox Church; to mount the Crusades, to fight and weaken and loot Constantinople, and prevent it from having the resources to defend itself against the Turkish invasions that have followed…”

Nobody is perfect in Christianity, but noone is entirely imperfect either .  I will note that in contrast to the sins of the western church which are indeed to be decried, what they did in and around the 8th century was to protect icon painters who were being abused by fanatical iconoclasts then in the eastern church.  Icons were being destroyed and their painters suffered punishment as the church cracked down on the practice.  The protection of the painters and their works was undertaken by the western church at the time.  For the Orthodox, this has to be considered as great a falling away as any of the western church sins.

We neither are completely guiltless.

The western church is not an evil place.  It’s possible for the two divided by theological concerns as they indeed are,  to come close to one another – we did it in Santa Fe.  Western leaders there, nuns as well, loved to come to our little church and follow our services, being deeply moved by them.  Certainly those clashes in earlier times are remembered, but we never held that against them.  That was the past, and we considered it as Russia considers her own past, faults  — if that is what they were — to be overcome and learned from.

And I will say in this respect that Trump has committed huge faults – – Wolff  and Hudson are correct in the earlier section of the transcript to have pointed these out.  It is what I hope for in Budapest that some recognition will have been made how serious those faults were.

Thank you again, karlof1.
